One of the most beautiful 👩‍🎓college campuses in the southeast United States. Nestled just northeast of downtown Winston-Salem, best campus has tons of greenery, open fields and green space to lounge or play sports, has a nature trail with access to Reynolda Village with shops and eateries, and a supreme education as well. The University of Findlay has a small pretty campus. Most of the architecture is beautiful red brick. The Science/pharmacy/teaching building and the library has it's own unique style. They have foliage producing trees in the fall and trees with nice blooms in the spring. They have flowers planted everywhere from Spring to Fall. They have cute clocks around campus. During the Winter they have so many beautifully decorated Christmas trees. One for the AMU student Center and one for the library. Tuition is bit high but I didn't feel much stress during that period..Now I clearly clearly realize how good it was if I compare colleges and universities here inn Toronto, canada. Marietta College exists for its students. This small college is not run for its own financial benefit. The college works to make well-rounded individuals that are ready to leave their mark. The faculty and professors hold you to a high standard to prepare you. Student life is constantly changing to try to meet the needs of students and always have your best interest in mind. The campus police are the nicest people you will ever meet. When you get to the college you will either be so involved you need more time or you won’t be involved in anything. The college works its hardest to bridge the gap. No one who works hard and asks for help fails at this college. There is a lot of pride in being a part of the “Long Blue Line.”Jim

My son toured the campus and fell in love with it! We had toured a couple other schools, that I thought couldn't be beaten, but he found his college!! He was accepted and sent in his registration payment!! He's going to be playing football for the college (OLB) and found a major he never considered which will be a perfect fit for him (sports management)! He received a great scholarship package and was on par with all the other colleges he had looked at and applied for FASFA (68% paid for through scholarships/grants). It’s a racket. You pay way too much for a subpar education. There are more reasonably priced private colleges, with better programs, up the road. Do your research before attending this college. I did an English course during the summer at KSU. The university is awesome. The campus is green and with many places to walk. The facilities at residences, dining rooms, sports center and classrooms are modern. The professors and staff are very attentive and service-minded. Ursuline College states the college has the highest academic and graduation rate in their nursing program. Ursuline College is not the only nursing program where students are learning their curriculum on becoming a successful nurse. I've known previous and current students who have graduated from other schools that offered the nursing program for an Associates or a Bachelors degree, and have moved on to successful careers at major hospitals in the greater Cleveland area. My experience here in my first semester has been a disaster. On my very first day, I attended a class called First Year Semester, and I had to drop out of it because during a group session with Dr. Johnson who literally accosted and debased me right in the front of the class, all because I expressed my opinion on the challenges of being flexible when you're working and collaborating with your peers. That has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I am eager to step away from this college, so I can resume my studies elsewhere. Finally, Ursuline College is no better than the average college in the great Cleveland area.Bella Rose

Beautifully landscaped in suburban Cleveland, this Catholic college offers degrees with a distinguished reputation. Recommend the dorms be renovated; however, all other buildings on the college campus are utilized efficiently or re-purposed. The Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland reside on the grounds in their Mother House. A tour is a must to really appreciate this collegiate gem in the realm of women's higher education.Krista Thomas

Both my wife and I were returning college students and Stark State Alumni class of 2012. We both received a great education. She went for respiratory therapy and I went for Graphic Design. The graphic design program was wonderful. The professors were all very knowledgeable and really cared about their students (huge shout outs to Michelle Lash and Eugene Starr). The classes are small and it's very easy to schedule time with the professors if you need help or need to go over some things. It's also nice to have online classes if that's your thing. For the younger students (and older alike), Stark State also hooks you up with SALT at no charge after graduation, which is a useful tool to help find employement after graduation. Luckily I furthered my career without having to use SALT. The biggest recommendation I could suggest would be to offer more of certain classes. Sometimes only one class is offered a semester and can conflict with working hours. Thank you, Stark State and to all of my professors for giving me a great education and giving me a fighting chance in the workforce after graduation. For those who are seeking four year degrees and beyond, Stark State is definitely a great (and affordable) place to start.stephen slusny

I attended Stark State College a number of years ago when it was Stark Technical College. I am surprised by the negative reviews, because I had a great experience at the school. I graduate with a degree in Computer Technology, and the courses were challenging and taught me a lot. I still remember some of the great instructors like Mrs. McBride in my math classes. I even worked there part-time for about a year doing LAN Administration. They have provided me with a foundation for a very successful career in IT. I later completed my Bachelor degree at Kent State. I am currently completing my MBA. I was able to get a copy of my transcripts, even after graduating 25 years ago, by faxing in a request. I did this for two different Universities, and they arrived within a week. In this age there should be a way to do it electronically like Kent State, but at least they do not charge you for them. Overall I had an excellent experience and they prepared me for a very rewarding career in Computer Technology. I absolutely have no regrets about this school, and I enjoyed my time there.Kevin Frazier

I can not believe Stark State has less than 4 stars! This is my second semester and I LOVE it! The faculty are truly amazing and extremely helpful! This college also offers small class room sizes which makes learning more personal. Your teachers and professors always do their best to know each student by name. It is also extremely great for working folks who have busy work loads. They have many courses that can virtually work with any type of schedule. There are many success programs that Stark State offers, including assistance with any subject as well as a great Accommodations program for those with any learning disability/disability from minor to severe. Stark State also always keeps their students in the know through text message and emails. They give you the tools you need in order to succeed. Highly recommend this college!elisabeth brian

The administration is not interested in offering equal access to education for parents who are looking to get one. The college is not interested in reestablishing the on-campus child care center. Also the administration knew the science building chemistry hoods were not functioning properly for years and never let students know. The professors are incredible but if you are a mother good luck because the college doesn't care that in order to access education, women with children (those who require an education for a chance to improve their children's future!) need some equitable student services. Don't take my word for it scroll through the reviews. Most reviewers are male even though majority of students who attend the college are women. Read into it what you will but the facts remain that the college has a child care center on campus but refuse to renovate it even though property taxpayers agreed to pay for it (measure g 2004).Melissa Martinez

The college incorrectly listed me as a non-California resident. When I attempted to fix this, I found that I could not get in touch with ANYONE from the business offices. Eventually, they started having a debt collector call me because I wanted to sort out the residency issue so that I would not be charged nearly $1000 for my classes. This has been going on for months now, I attempt to call their offices almost every week and no one answers me. I'm beginning to suspect that they are just trying to force me to pay the non-resident fee so that they can get some extra cash. All in all, I have had a horrible experience with the administrative services, and if I could get on the line with anyone, I would have been happy to have paid the appropriate tuition months ago.Laura Israel

Overall, the colleges is good. However, other colleges are doing much better. $ stars for the efforts in trying to become better. Recently they have started to work on the new Gymnasium building. Teachers and professors are good but they are very diverse. The teaching style of all the teachers differ and they might not be ok with everyone. So choose your class wisely. Overall the crowd is good but sometimes you might find some not so friendly people. I am not sure about the safety. While this school is great, and I love being here… there are many issues with this place that aren't talked about. One, parking is hell. They sell way more parking passes then there are places to park. And since students are required to live on campus this is a major problem that affects the entire student body, faculty and staff. In the next few years this problem is about to get a lot worse, due to the merge with Northeast coming up. Two, while the food is often great, especially at the Grotto, most of the options are fried or greasy. It is hard to know what exactly is in the food, and athletes often complain that the options are too limited. If you have diet restrictions or allergies there is only one option for you, the Clean Plate with ZERO variety. Three, the health care here is horrid. Yes, the health center and counseling center are free for students BUT when you go there, the help is very limited. They provide you with supplements and nasal spray. That's it. And then, theres counseling center. They are great at handling homesickness, minor depression, and generalized anxiety. But they advertise that they also address PTSD, major depression, eating disorders and such. However, when you come to the person who is supposed to counsel you on Title IX matters, they tell you it's your fault. Also, the campus is extremely inaccessible for physically disabled individuals. The elevators are broken or breaking and there are barely any ramps. They only address two out of the thirteen categories of disability, that being autism and developmentally delayed. In addition to that, when you have a learning disability and are having trouble in classes they suggest you get a tutor and do not enforce adaptive curriculum. There is an ADA violation occurring right now that is not being addressed. Special needs professors have been lobbying for change for a decade and nothing has changed. When you have 504, they provide you with regular resources that the campus already offers, there are no individualized resources for those who require that sort of thing. The campus in general is very ableistic. They do enough to get the label of a special needs inclusive college without actually doing the work. Four, it advertises that it is extremely diverse. The Student union has all these flags representing all the countries international students are from, but you rarely see them around campus. These individuals are the hardest impacted by the insurance issues we have here, as they are often here on a scholarship and on an athletic team and do not have the funds for full coverage. Mercyhurst is below average in ethnic diversity nation wide. Racial diversity is also below average but real kicker here is 93% of professors are white. Five, Mercyhurst is advertised as a liberal arts college but the art departments are extremely neglected. The art department is literally one hallway with two classrooms and one office for professors. The art therapy department has one classroom and one office. The dance department has two studios and no trainer. And then, there's the music department. You cannot join the music department if you are physically handicapped because there is no way for you to get downstairs. And every time there is a performance, you have to carry everything up three flights of stairs to the PAC. Over all, while Mercyhurst is an amazing school that I am proud to attend, it has several major problems that NEED to be addressed. It's amazing at projecting a great image and at doing everything to have good reputation. We have two events every weekend, and public speakers and performers from around the world. The campus is beautiful when you go through the front gates. The curriculum is great for neurotypical students, and discrimination of LGBTQ individuals is almost nonexistent. Money management is also horrible, they spend everything on comforts and for their image rather than necessities.Katelyn Baughman

Love the people, love the rich history and most importantly love the education! Recent college grad and am very proud to be. Whether you need a shoulder to lean on or someone to provide a bit of guidance, you can find it all on this campus. There are so many staff members on campus who go out of their way to help ensure students have a memorable experience, too many to mention individually. I am however extremely thankful for the ones who had an influence on me. Shout out to the fantastic res life department, health center and hospitality department. Like any school it has issues that need to be addressed and fixed such as the lack of parking, some of the apartments and a few other things. The only difference is that Mercyhurst strives to make progress in every area it needs to fix. If I could redo the last four years again I wouldn’t change a thing or go to a different school because this was one of the best experiences of my life! Would 100% recommend.Daniel L

Loved our tour of this University! It has a "Harry Potter" feel to some of it. The campus is clean and well manicured. The people here are so nice. The buildings are up to date with some really cool stuff for learning. One floor has a real Harry Potter feel and a quick walk down the stairs and it's super high tech like Star wars. We loved this University and everything they offered. The dorms are spacious. Plenty of closet space. Bathrooms are huge in some dorms. The Church area is gorgeous. The "apt" type dorms need updated. Baylor is an amazing school. For a few reviews before me we are not all "rich kids wanting to blow daddy's money" or "rude". I personally have a bad background that would not match the first statement. I am not rich. I am blessed to be in this university thanks to scholarships and my hard working mother. Baylor itself is a blessing. Its a rigorous school BUT very well worth it. I love being part of the Baylor community. Its a beautiful campus filled with loving people. Its not "perfect" because nothing is. There will be a few issues like yes there are some kids who don't care and my be rude or blow things off but really if you are a part of it you will see the majority of the campus and the people here are more than amazing and loving. This is a fantastic university for the liberal arts. I have talked to people from other universities and to those that have come to visit me at college, and all of them see a difference in the student body. There is just a different atmosphere. All the people are kind and welcoming and always willing to help in times of need. The professors are nationally ranked and are not only outstanding in their fields of study, but wonderful people as well. Even if you're not looking to go to college, its a beautiful campus to just walk around in. It's almost like a park in some ways. Just give it a visit and I promise you'll be hooked! I loved my time as I attended Baylor for undergrad, and grad school (2008-2015). The campus has changed so much since i first step foot in 2008 (all for the better). Baylor (and Waco) is in a resurgence/growth period. Its an awesome time for Baylor and Waco. I loved my time there even though I'm not religious (agnostic/theist). Great people (students and especially faculty), and community. There was a reason why I came back to get my masters at Baylor. They helped me get through some rough times, and i am better for it now. Poor service! I cannot explain the frustration myself and family endured while earning a degree I BARELY had a chance to use. This is one of the most disrespectful, greediest schools I have ever been to! The parking costs for students is outrageous. Staff in all parts of the university are lazy, some were not friendly, disrespected other cultures of people, and then some. I was lied to by multiple professors that I had to only purchase books from their book store and not Amazon. Amazon saved me tons of money for the same book! One time, I got water on one of my text books and that bookstore charged me $184 to replace the book!!!! Not to mention their clothing is overpriced! The material is just sweatshirts! Get real!! A lot of mean students attend school here. I noticed students bully other races of students, throw items at each other, teachers bully students and talk to them as if they are nothing! I am sorry, but that school costs too much to deal with BS (Not the degree either). The tutoring labs are the worst! They are not friendly, racist and do not seem to care if you have a paper due. Also, they provide those players with free tuition, but refuse to help families whose kids have straight A's. I am not talking about "wealthy" families either. That Business office needs to be shut down. That Gwendolyn or whatever her name is terrible! She has spoken to people like dogs and never smiles. I have seen those Business Professors snap at students. Terrible and unprofessional!! I hope someone snaps at your college kids as well and you will see/understand the feeling! I still owe this school money after years of graduating. Oh, but wait! Other schools helped me find work and I barely owe anything! We spent thousands of dollars for a fuc….you know the rest degree that provided no access to jobs over $40,000 and they did not help us find work. Oh, but wait! You can mail us letters asking to donate money to the school and those players. No worries! Life is still great and we eventually made better money! This school is not worth it! From the first time I visited Ohio Dominican University, I was impressed by the atmosphere and interaction between students and professors. I loved the classroom sizes, which fostered the ability to ask questions and interact with fellow students and professors. This is something that I strongly feel is a key component for any young person to grow, learn, and figure out what path they want to pursue. If I had another option I would never go to this university. They preach all of these wonderful things but when it comes down to action, they show none of it. Their system that is supposed to help students get their classes organized and keep them on the right track works, but only if you need absolutely no help. I was a second away from getting a lawyer before I actually recieved any kind of direction or assistance. Come to find that there are other people I know that have similar stories of having been given no help and shrugged off or just tossed an answer that is not helpful at all. Had my father not gone to the Dean my degree would have been stunted. It would have taken another 1-2 years to complete with the advice given to me by a secretary that refused to tell me anyone I could go to for assistance. She rather throw my EXCUSED medical absence (which I have only ever had one, and it was to have my daughter) in my face as a reason to show my incompetence and that my lack of help was MY fault. Had it not been for my parents support I probably would have dropped out due to the neglect and disrespect that I have been give from the people at this university. Not to mention they put someone in charge of a girls sports team who had been previously charged at their university with sexual assault. I have so many more examples from others around me that have had similar issues and have been ignored or bounced around from person to person when asking for academic advice or help.Tessa M

Love YSU. While this college has a lot to offer and is exceptionally friendly to ppl with disabilities I wish the department I am studying at was bigger. We only have 3 professors and unfortunately one of them is so ineffective I had to repeat every one of his classes. I learned more from my tutors in his classes than from the professor himself. Head professor is cool and extremely helpful. Also the equipment we use other than the computers are horribly out of date, built and used since the 60s and 70s. Unfortunately due to life circumstances I have to move out of state. Hopefully the next school will be just as rich as YSU and has a bigger department with up to date technology.Imperfect Xennial

YSU is such a quiet and peaceful place to go to school at. Sometimes I liked to just sit on the grass under a tree and listen to the birds and the wind as life just passed me by. The buildings are a complex maze of twists and turns that will leave your head feeling like you just entered the twilight zone, and while some students are rather rude the majority of them are extremely kind hearted. I personally feel that the school could use with a better organization system, slightly more thought out staff and faculty, but other than that it is a very amazing place to learn.Reynard Louernia

Extremely racist school. I attended here for 3 years (2009-2012). It was a legacy of my family to attend and graduate from here and I regret it. Not only did I not graduate, I felt unwelcomed as a Native student. I even participated in Native student organizations and spent a lot of time at the cultural center because that was the only place I felt comfortable and accepted. South Dakota is just a racist state all around. I regret listening to my parents. I should have went to the school I was also accepted and had really wanted to go to. These white ppl can keep their precious athletics department! Even the frat parties were racist and sucked! The varying architecture of all the buildings on campus was nice though. Went for one year and never went back. The general required classes are similar at other places, but other places actually care about you. I went to another college before this one, and USD refused to allow me to transfer the credits because they were from out of state. The admissions were nice, but whoever decides what credits transfer couldn't care less about you if you come from out of state. Their biology department needs major help, because they had to change teachers often and even hired one who couldn't speak English. My husband & I graduated from what was then Bethel College & Seminary in 1968. My years there are among the best of my life! We were privileged to sing with the College Choir – the best of the best of my lifetime experiences. I most highly recommend Bethel to anyone trying to select the best college to attend. I especially recommend it to music majors as their music program is outstanding! Bethel is a Christian University with a student body consisting primarily of dedicated Christian young people. As with any Christian school, there are a few students who are sent there by their parents with the hope that the school will straighten them out. Fortunately, these students are few and far between! AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF A SCIENCE MAJOR!!!!!! Poorest Chem department I've ever experienced. The chemistry teachers (in my experience) are just bad teachers. They don't have the experience to teach in some cases or are just unorganized in their lectures. They can tout #1 Biology Program in the Country (for Christian schools) but Chemistry is bloody important too. Every science major needs Chemistry. So, what's a good biology program really got to do with it if Chemistry teachers are flippantly FAILING students without any analysis of their own teaching. Why are the chem labs impossible? I graduated from Lipscomb in 2011 and loved my time there. The university has an active campus life and dedicated staff and student leadership. I really enjoyed living on campus, my Bible classes, attending concerts and campus life events, and going to basketball games. I majored in organizational communication with a minor in marketing, and I have been working in digital marketing since 2013. I still visit Lipscomb's campus and enjoy seeing how it's changed. Lipscomb may not be for everyone, but I encourage prospective students to schedule a campus visit and take a tour.Brandon Caples

Our daughter came all the way from Arizona to this small school in Iowa, and it has proved to be a God inspired decision. We are so grateful for the way the school has offered plenty of activities for her to get involved in as well as the family atmosphere she has felt in dorm hall. The small class size is great for interactive teaching and the faculty have been amazing in their instruction, as well as their interest in my daughter’s success. The only reason ppl go here and are willing to grossly pay for an education is the location. I went to school here and will say it is far overpriced for the education you are given. Some staff are great and really care about the education they are providing. Others just read off a powerpoint and have no interest except for a paycheck. Career services ask if you want to be reached out to and say they will help but its not in their interest. At the NYC campus the administrative and financial aid staff are blatantly rudeRyan Ryan

Pace is expensive, doesn't help the students getting internships and when the students get one on their own, Pace takes the credit. After graduating, the students don't get a job. One of their alumni just got a good job and due to she owes money, they don't give her transcripts and are retaining her title. Is not possible for Pace to help when the students really need help? This is a good school. However, the quality is almost identical to the CUNY school I attended before coming here that costed significantly less. Additionally, the lack of diversity (granted, because of how this is a private school) is also lacking. Atfter 3 years… Word to the wise, more often than not, you never crack open that 100, 200 something dollar book. A quarter of the professors are great people and go above and beyond and are the positives of the university. Another quarter are there and go through the motions, pretty average and that's fine. The rest are communicationally and emotionally compromised and feel the need to be dictators of their classrooms and go on emotional rants unrelated to material, are professors that have checked out because retirement is around the corner, or are teaching assistants in their early 20s and have no idea what they're doing and rush through so they can get THEIR work done. Parking is a mad house the first half of the semester. I've spent an hour trying to find parking and gave up, I've been threatened and screamed at, dealt with aggression and almost hit by cars. It's not like I felt safe on campus anyways or in Springfield for that matter. The school enrollment is growing faster than they're willing to keep up expecting more and more from professors and give less and less to those who pay the continually raising tuition.Steph McCarty

I myself have had a horrible experience at MSU, but I won't let that account for the school as a whole. If you are considering entering the Computer Information Systems program, you should really consider another school. The instructors in the program are currently abysmal. They are working hard to improve the program, but for now you will learn at a pace and challenge level much less than you would even get at OTC. The College of Business in general felt like a degree mill, in my opinion. As for the rest of the campus, it really is great in every way. You can do almost anything you need right on campus easily. The Foster Recreation center has an awesome pool and great selection of workout equipment. The library is also top-notch and has a great selection. I have a feeling that if you're pursuing an education in non-technical subjects, this would be a great school for the money. If that's not the case though, I highly recommend you seek a better business school elsewhere. Springfield has a hard time retaining talent, and you'll find little of it in the more technical departments at MSU.scott knox

BUYER BEWARE: You'll be fine at MSU as long as you don't complain about any lack of teaching pedagogy in your classes. As a student I have had a Jekyll and Hyde type of experience here; some professors include direct instruction (in a number of modalities) others do not. I was told verbatim by a professor; "I'll do what I want and no one can tell me differently". Another professor, on three separate exams, gave no feedback and in a class of 16 students had four A's with the rest, B, C, D, F, range and didn't change his "Educating" the entire semester. One other professor who had given out continual C's and B's – said he didn't need to teach for "Mastery" of the topic – he only needed to give "Students a shot"… Keep in mind professors are experts in an area and not teachers – that is do not have the training and education to teach, to reach students. Further, in classes I have never seen an administrator come and evaluate the level of "Teaching" being done.ME W

Let's be honest. This was your second choice. It's not the "best college in the world" or the "most beautiful campus in the world". Spent one and a half years here where it could’ve been one and a half years spent better elsewhere. Please, this is an extension of high school. Find your education and college experience elsewhere. I live near this college and me and my wife and kids love to take walks threw it. It's so beautiful and peaceful. Also you have campus police always around so you feel safe at all times. And the bell tower is a nice sight to see. But hearing that thing go off at 11:00pm at night I could go without.Shawn Dronet

I attended their physical therapist program for a semester and a half (after being offered a fellowship). I have to say, it was one of the most disorganized things i've ever witnessed in my entire life and one of the worst experiences of my life. Luckily, i realized early enough to bail after paying only $40,000. No written policies/procedures for 3 months (they were running late), hard to access labs (you have to be friends with another student, its a "social thing" per administration. Problem is, i dont drink, i dont really like ping pong, and i dont want to date someone in the program, although there were several couples enrolled together in the program. Administration views this as "professional behavior".). There is so much bs, i couldn't possibly fit it all here. If wild conflict of interest is your thing, then this is the place for you. Chapman's mascot is a panther, perhaps their motto is "Chapman University – Where education is predatory."Craig Zach

As always, campus is lovely. I was very impressed by the fact that they maintained the beautiful landscaping and fountains even during the pandemic when they had no students there. Now the people are back, and it is autumn, they have once again shown a beautiful smaller campus…the potential. Lot of people trampling around on the campus and they are still keeping up the appearance. As far as the school is concerned I don't have all that much contact but they certainly seem to have a nice crop of students. The law school however is still suffering significantly, at least among those of us in the field, from their association with John Eastman, he of the Trump insurrection fame. I don't know how that will pan out for them. Still…. Worth a wander amount the grounds & the fountains with a coffee.James F. Haas

The campus is calm and lovely with a colorful taste of student life. The long standing history of the school provides a global perspective for all students. The support staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is nice and clean. There are reasonable varieties of selections in cafeteria for all meals. Overall, I had a great experience attending a three-day conference on campus hosted by the NCACLS and SCCCS on campus.Bianca Chang
