This is a great place to see an opera, play or any other performance. The farthest seat us still pretty close to the stage making your experience an intamate one. I take away one star because the seats are old, uncomfortable and for me hard to get out of. Still I am getting season seats to the opera again next season. Great theatre.Don Jackson

BTT is not just a ballet school, where you learn from professional and well-skilled teachers, but a big family. I joined BTT during my exchange year in the USA, and I felt so welcomed. My son has done theatre here for many years and we couldn't be happier with them. Aimee, Rick, Pat, Trina, and all the teachers have shaped my child's life as he's moved from Players Company, to Ensemble to the Teen program. What makes this place different from the Reps children's classes or some of the other area children's theatre, is the class to stage plan. The program starts with 10 weeks of classes where the kids learn the skills they put into action while auditioning, being cast and then memorizing lines, learning blocking, and finally performing the play for an audience. So unlike other programs where it's typically one or the other, audition for a play or take a class, CTW's program combines both to teach kids all the facets of theatre. And kids can also learn and do the technical parts of theatre too. My son typically performs in the play with his age group, but then does lights or sound for the younger groups.Tony Danford

Fairly priced. Great location. Your child doesn't need to be a theater star to benefit greatly from theater. Great kids and families. Their programs just keep improving. With that being said–from a parental standpoint be prepared for poor communication in terms of scheduling and return email/phone calls. It’s a ton of fun I took a class there fallen no “body” to murder, and it was really fun everyone is really nice, all the teachers, you can make a lot of fun memories and inside jokes, you can make new friends, and try something the you might have never done before. My dtr and I absolutely enjoyed In the Heights June 4 at The Toledo Rep! The cast was stunning! So much talent on stage! We love theater and truly appreciate how hard everyone works on a production. The Rep is a charming and intimate venue to see a show. There is not a bad seat in the house. My only complaint is that while the orchestra sounded amazing many times they drowned out the singing. If you don't make it to this show, definitely visit the Rep soon!Kim Johnson

This was the first time I have been to the theater in a long time and I believe I picked the perfect time and play for It. "A Flea in Her Ear" was hilarious from start to finish. The actors were so at ease in their roles. The theater was easy to get to, we were able to get a parking spot close to the door. Everyone was very helpful. The whole experience was amazing. Came here to see Heathers and I had a good time, the show was very good. As for the actual theater it is small and you can tell it is aged. The seats aren’t very comfortable and they are tight. But this is acceptable for an old theater. They have a “basement” and that’s were the bathrooms are and where snacks are sold. Good place to come see a show.Jacob Buck

If I could leave a zero star that’d be cool. I called to get basic information. Wanted to know transferable credits of and ADN degree to BSN degree. Was told o needed to “Speak English” (mind you I’m as English and American as it gets) I asked what he meant by to speak English and he said he didn’t understand was an ADN or BSN is. There’s more polite ways to ask about something you don’t understand than to straight up tell someone “I need you to speak English for me” like sir! I need you to speak more professionally for me. I’m currently an attending undergrad since 2019. I’ve only had one major issue and that was my academic advisor originally slotting 18 credit hours my first semester. But I got a new academic advisor and I’ve had no other issues. All of my professors have been nice even if they were strict with teaching methods. I could even say I’d miss a few of them cause they made classes with them super fun. Their Covid-19 response was also great and their testing centers were quick and easy to attend. The campus is also really nice in the spring/summer when it’s not too hot.C. H.

I’m now in the Army National Guard, attending Purdue University for Cellular and Biomolecular Engineering, and working as an administrative assistant at a nursing and retirement home in the area. My daughter started as a seventh grader at NDA and the school has been a perfect fit! Attending the NDA JA afforded my daughter the opportunity to take more advanced high school classes and her transition into high school was seamless. She has found her voice and has blossomed into a beautiful young lady ready to start exploring colleges. We will be sad to leave the NDA community in two years.Denise Olson

Just went here last night for a show! Given this is a historical theatre and it is very old I can’t really complain about the looks!! The area is not the safest area in Toledo so going there was a little scary… I think if they are going to continue to keep it up and running they should do a few updates like the chairs for instance age teeny tiny, I am not a bigger girl and they were snug for me and very uncomfortable, and secondly there is no A/C it was a little too hot in there. Overall it was a fun experience, the staff was nice, and they offered snacks and alcohol for the show!taylor pedroza

Fond memories of the North Toledo Theatre from 35yrs ago and looks very good today! BUT the neighborhood around it isnt what it was 35yrs ago. Its a crime ridden, drug plagued sewer and A far cry from a respectable " Polish Village". Research the crime rates around here before visting or listen to a Police scanner app and get the info in real time.JEFF IN OHIO

From the scaffolding outside you can tell that it's a work in progress but I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was inside. The lobby was small but nicely decorated and theatrically carpeted. I am currently in the 11th grade at this school. I've been there since my sophomore year and I have a younger sister that is currently trying to enroll here for her seventh grade year. Great place, classes offered in order to get better at acting, modeling, etc. Are superb. Also the auditions they have for real entertainment agents and going to IMTA 2x a year u have ample opportunities to get seen by Talent agencies at these. Also going to Miami for modeling to get seen by real agencies and have pictures for portfolio taken by big time photographer is awesome. They also have many success stories like Adrienne Palicki, Alyson Stoner, Tanner Buchanan, etc. Including models who are now signed to big agencies such as Welhemina and are working in the industry making a living at their respective crafts!! I would first like to say thank you for giving Nicholas the opportunity to dance with some very nice instructors and giving him The Vogt/Cernonok Male Scholarship. Second Nicholas has grown to love and respect ballet, a few years ago he would have never taken ballet and all that changed when enrolling in his first class last year. He loves dancing at the TB. He has met and had friends encouraging him to try out for the Company, Nutcracker and The Wizard of OZ. I think is very important to share with you our concerns and the reasons are listed below how NOT to treat children!! It has been brought to my attention that there has been TB faculty that has claimed Nicholas has had behavioral issues. I would hope that if this was true and were concerns of TB faculty, that a parent would be notified and handled appropriately. Nick is a minor child and any issues should been address with his dad and I. Yes, I can say there has been a non-incident that has occurred with Nick and Steve and also Lisa, but Nick had worked that out with both of them. Nick had been working with Ms. Ariel and Mr. Warrick since starting with TB last year. He loves dance and dancing at TB, until Nick tried out for Lisa (Nutcracker) and Michael (OZ) is when problems started. I was also told by Mr. Michael Lang that TSA staff had warned TB faculty of Nick’s past behavioral issues. It truly sickens me that Nick would be talked about by TSA staff. Nicholas is no longer at TSA and his past has been handled. It is a shame that taking the word of mouth of TSA staff would have anything to do with TB or if was a concern address the parents. I feel Michael Lang is a bully and he prejudged Nicholas and made him feel belittled and inferior. Also I believe that pushing students to do their best is appropriate, but to threaten a child and give their part away because they are not jumping high enough, is not very positive or motivating for any student. This incident occurred when Lisa and Nick were in rehearsal for the Mouse King. It was handled poorly and unprofessional. Nick still apologized to Lisa and Michael for that matter, but still felt the backlash. Nick never missed a practice for the Nutcracker and while other students were missing weekly practices he requested in writing to have Saturday the 21st off to finish his drive time. A week notice of practice times is not an efficient time to adjust any schedule and we had already had his drive times set up. She questioned, “Could you reschedule, you will be missing practice.” So for these reasons and is no longer fun anymore for Nicholas to dance at TB we will be withdrawing.
