During a high school graduation, I was requesting help from the ORU security and Mabee Center hired help. I was verbally and physically assaulted and verbally assaulted, disrespected, humiliated, district, confused, appalled and taken back at how everything unfolded so fast. I was just trying to get help, I in no action of a crime, assault or anything illegal, simply in the lo by requesting help.. I do not recommend anyone to have there family here for any reason.. wish I could have posted a much better review. 😕 never again will my family be tarnished by the "spiritual" aspect of a college or business again.BP Family

All the people are so friendly! Most of t He students a d staff come from the south, so they all have that warm, southern love for everyone. The professors are outstanding; they genuinuely care about the students and their success-not just academiclly, but developmentally and spiritually. The campus is lovely! There's so many garden areas, benches, and trees! There are even little bunnies hopping around everywhere! The gardeners are on the clock every day, making this camus truly exceptional. I have been going to oral roberts university for almost two years. It has truly changed my life. It is a place if fully embraced can lead you closer to the lord and to the career of one’s dreams. The professors are world class. The workload can be challenging at times but is to help in preparation for the work force. I applied to one of their online Master’s program and got accepted for the 2022 Fall term. Filled out everything, paid the app fee, paid for all of my official transcripts (this would have been my 4th degree), got to the advising appointment only to be told that all of my questions I needed to “look into on my own”….. I work in higher education and these are thing the advisor should have been able to answer. Then she tells me the code to look at classes after the appointment, which was odd, only to find out the two classes I was going to register for were full and she wasn’t even looking at them at the time of the appointment. This is not how advising is supposed to work. Since I have an existing Master’s I wanted to see if any of my credits could transfer in with a maximum of 6 credit hours. If classes wouldn’t transfer due to program alignment, that would have been fine. However, the reasoning was “ Since you did earn the degree with those courses, he doesn't feel that we can also use them to complete the MA degree.” I’m sorry, what??? Baylor is an amazing school. For a few reviews before me we are not all "rich kids wanting to blow daddy's money" or "rude". I personally have a bad background that would not match the first statement. I am not rich. I am blessed to be in this university thanks to scholarships and my hard working mother. Baylor itself is a blessing. Its a rigorous school BUT very well worth it. I love being part of the Baylor community. Its a beautiful campus filled with loving people. Its not "perfect" because nothing is. There will be a few issues like yes there are some kids who don't care and my be rude or blow things off but really if you are a part of it you will see the majority of the campus and the people here are more than amazing and loving. This is a fantastic university for the liberal arts. I have talked to people from other universities and to those that have come to visit me at college, and all of them see a difference in the student body. There is just a different atmosphere. All the people are kind and welcoming and always willing to help in times of need. The professors are nationally ranked and are not only outstanding in their fields of study, but wonderful people as well. Even if you're not looking to go to college, its a beautiful campus to just walk around in. It's almost like a park in some ways. Just give it a visit and I promise you'll be hooked! I loved my time as I attended Baylor for undergrad, and grad school (2008-2015). The campus has changed so much since i first step foot in 2008 (all for the better). Baylor (and Waco) is in a resurgence/growth period. Its an awesome time for Baylor and Waco. I loved my time there even though I'm not religious (agnostic/theist). Great people (students and especially faculty), and community. There was a reason why I came back to get my masters at Baylor. They helped me get through some rough times, and i am better for it now. This school is hardly what it pretends to be in its recruiting campaigns. The professors are usually great, and the student culture is very welcoming, but the administration of the school is far over reaching, and their public image is decietful at best. Nothing really sets this school apart from any other secular liberal arts college except their over-bearing restrictions and expectations. They claim to be affordable and award academic scholarships generously but don't factor that into your budget for the long haul: tuition rises, awards don't. Apart from those scholarships, the school is especially expensive and needlessly so. They require an expensive meal plan for their unbelievably wasteful cafeteria and they charge high price for minimal housing accommodation. You will find that once you enroll here you drop to the bottom priority of the administration. Everything here is about impressing visitors (well except for the attrocious landscaping across campus). On football game days, you will likely have difficulty finding parking spaces, despite the fact that you live here and ought to be able to park here. If on gameday you decide to park elsewhere on campus (if you manage to find a space) you will almost certainly receive a citation. Citations are enforced on the students who live here and pay to attend, but visitors are given a pass for just about every infraction they could dream of committing. For their most recent new residence center they have added only a gravel parking lot (behind the building so visitors hopefully won't see it) and I assume they don't intend to pave it considering it's been 3 years now. Who knows if this trend will continue. Internet has never been great here but it gets worse as the years go on. They have installed more restrictions over their network as the years go on. YouTube is hit or miss since half the intersting things you'll find might be blocked. (I'm not talking about just innapropriate content, but almost anything from an unverified channel that might be censored). Like most Christian colleges they have a chapel requirement, and they are very strict about it. You won't graduate unless you watch all 96 of the half-baked evangelistic sermons they force feed you and don't you dare try to be distracted by your phone or with homework. I don't want you to get the wrong idea here. You probably will struggle to find another university that's much better about most these issues. My point is, though, that OBU really is nothing exceptional as a school and especially not as a Christian school. It's very clear that they are far more concerned about the prevalence of Christian appearance than ministering to their students or their community. Just go to a state school and join a campus ministry if you really want a Christian experience in college. This place isn't worth it.Tony Carter

You won't find a university with a more caring staff, faculty, or student body. Within a week of being on campus, I found my place. OBU offers plenty of student organizations and sports and encourages campus involvement (Biggie, Spring Affair, basketball, football, TWIRP, and more). Yes, classes are rigorous, but I felt more prepared for a career than friends who attended state schools. After attending a state school myself, I can say I felt more like a person than an ID number at OBU. Your professors will know who are and even invite you for afternoon tea. The theatre professors are great and a lot of the students are nice but other than that this school sucks. You are forced to take classes that have nothing to do with your major, forced to do chapel and worst of all the food is disgusting except on days they have students that are wanting to go there to school. Its a waste of money and time and too expensive. You are better off going to OU or another college. And you will not get your tuition money or work study jobs. And if you are a theatre student you are forced to build sets even if you want to act. And if you are a minority your chances of getting a part in a play is slim pickings. As an OC alumni I daily an thankful for my time at OC. I was challenged intellectually and I greatly enjoyed my time with my brothers in Kappa Sigma Tau. I plan on returning for graduate work because of the personal relationship I gained with many of my professors during my undergraduate studies. I was here for two years after my time at Nova CC. I was with the Schar School of Policy and Government. It was a fantastic experience I wouldn't trade for anything. The professors are all experts in their fields with PhD's. Everyone in my classes were respectful and engaging. For a social life it was average, you have to make your own friends by joining clubs or living in dorms with your door open. Be polite and talk to people. Infrastructure wise there is a huge effort by the university to modernize. With the Peterson Medical building, Nguyen Engineering Building, Fenwick library, exploratory building, and the new Robinson building that is being built in the middle of campus, it's gonna be great. For now the construction may put people off but it will become a great school for students and graduate students alike. 4/5 would do it again. Not really but still.Ameen Karim

The George Mason University is better than I expected going in. Many Norther Virginia High School students don’t really want to go to this school because they think it is not that good and they do not want to stay home. This is a great place to learn especially is you are on a budget. Stay at home and commute, it is a great way to save money while getting a good quality education at a university. This school is great and although there is not much on campus culture, there are many things that make the school amazing. 6 months ago I didn't know what shape I was truly in as it related to my health. I had trouble with a leg wound and finally decided to get it seen about by a doctor. I was right on time because my leg ulcer had gotten so infected I almost lost my leg. Once they admitted me to the hospital and did other tests they found blockage on my lungs and a 9.5 inch ovarian cyst. Once I finally came home, Interim sent Cheryl out to assess and start paperwork with me and she really made me feel better. I've been blessed with Rhonda as my routine nurse who genuinely cares about my well-being and takes very good care of my leg. It's almost back to surface and if it wasn't for Rhonda's foresight and experience I may not be as far along as I am today. Also there have been a couple other nurses out to see me and Tiffany is one I remember by name. She was awesome and also encouraged me to get better. If it weren't for these two ladies, my energy level and belief level may not be as high. I recommend them to anyone for any type of care. Thanks Interim!!Kristyn

I have worked for another health care employment agency in the area, but Interim has always been known to me as a prominent supplier of professional health care workers. I hear compliments about nursing staff within other facilities that happen to also be Interim employees. I've also known quite a few Interim employees that have been gone on to take permanent, full-time employment with the facilities they had frequented. Myself, being a home health and long-term care worker, know that the nurses assigned to clients are very caring for their patients in and outside of healthcare. They supply classes and employment, so it's a near win-win. If my family needs healthcare, I will be glad to have it by Interim.B.J. Dail

I just wanted to take a moment to share my experience that I have with Interim. Last year my diabetes was out of control. I had lower leg problems and had to see a wound care doctor once a week. The protocol involved wrapping my legs every other day. I contacted Interim to come in fill in the other days. They stepped up and began working with the doctor to heal my legs. The nurses assigned to come to my home have been most conscientious and caring. Their care helped improve my health that I don't have to see the wound anymore. They continue to maintain the level of care to keep my legs wound free. I am greatful I have Interim and Their wonderful staff taking care of me.Charles Snider

Pitt's School of Social work and associated faculty and staff work very hard to ensure the success of their students. The education is comprehensive and highly skill/practically based. Upon graduation, students should definitely be able to practice very competently in direct practice or at a systems level. Most of the faculty are excellent instructors with very relevant practical experience. The main cons are the amount of disorganization within the department and that a few instructors (a minority) aren't great at teaching.Alysse Littleberry

We love going to TU games. My older brother graduated from TU. He also played football there, so it's very nostalgic for me to attend their events. They have a very clean stadium and the staff is always nice. Go Golden Hurricanes! Yesterday we were able to meet the basketball teams and I spoke to the Ladies coach. It was a cool experience. The Lehigh Valley MSW program through Marywood is a great addition to Marywood's satellite campus. We are located at DeSales and this is much closer than commuting to Scranton for a 1-3 hour time frame. I love that it is close by, and that we are a close knit community. I enjoy the smaller environment, and the perks that our program has to offer. I recommend getting involved in LVSA to make your time even more worthwhile while a student. Being involved keeps me connected to others, especially since we don't live on campus and just commute for classes and then go home. Being a part of the LV Marywood community has been a great bonus for me as a graduate student. I've noticed graduate school is much different than my undergraduate education, but I have a love of learning. Our program director at the LV campus- Christina Gigler is fantastic. She is very approachable, friendly, and wiling to help students in any way she can. Beautiful campus and amazing faculty. I received a GA position this semester, myself along several others GAs have been given the runaround regarding our payments over the semester. Kathy, whom I spoke with yesterday, told me I would have to wait until the next pay period for payment. GAs are paid once at the end of each month. When I explained to Kathy that expecting me to wait an entire month for payment was unrealistic, she explained to me how much of a pain it would be for her to file the proper paperwork to issue my paycheck. She then offered a loan on my paycheck until the university could afford to pay me. Its clear Kathy thinks her department is a loanshark operation of sorts. The issues and problems I received with payroll is not an isolated incident. Other GAs are having to bend over backwards in order to receive payment. Faculty has expressed to me that this behavior from payroll is nothing new and I should continue to expect issues and problems with payroll moving forward. The university has no interest in paying its students workers so long as the positions they are offering get filled and they can financially abuse and excuse any concerns brought up by student workers. If one of your hopes at this institution as a student is to receive fair pay as scheduled for work that has been performed, I suggest you look elsewhere. Payroll will do everything in it's power to delay payment and attempt to discourage you from seeking further payment because it's so much work for them. I request and hope that the university exhibits and displays it's core values, integrity, collaboration, creativity, leadership, excellence, communication and diversity, to remedy this situation and show what it means to be a riverhawk.Joe Moberly

Really terrible experience with the staff. An hour late to their own meetings. Scrolling on the phone while I talk (about how my father died when I was 19). I took my time and money elsewhere, and I suggest you do as well. These guys have their noses in the sky and big heads. I promise, you can do better. I got my Bachelor's and moved forward, despite how I was treated at this institution, another put me in a leadership society, opening me up to notable alumni and scholarships. NSU is nice, small school. I'm currently taking a gap year, but I'm a student at Northeastern State. I started in Spring 2020 and started my gap year (which is now looking to be a gap two years) after the Spring 2021 school year. I'm not sure if I'll return or not if or when I decide to go back to school. Regardless, I love the campus and I love Tahlequah (even if there's not that much to do there). I attended a masters program here, and their are only a few positive things that I can say about the master programs at this university. For one if you are attending an online masters program and you have to call the university to work out an issue (GOOD LUCK). 90 percent of the times that I called I coulde not get ahold of anyone for the masters program. If I did get ahold of someone they would always tell me that, they where short staffed and could not address the issue at that time and that I would have to wait another day or two for them to address it, no matter how small the issue. Which makes it very hard if you are married with children and a job with limited time in your schedule to address issues relating to your masters. Also, since everything is politics nowadays, if you are looking for a traditionally conservative Christian college this is not the college for you. They are deffinetly a liberal Christian University and you will spend most of your time writing papers defending your conservative veiw points rather then growing and learning in that viewpoint espically in the Social work and Psychology dept where you are all but mandated to believe in the very liberal or leftist viewpoints being taught. I attended this university for one semester and that was enough to realize that I will need to find another university. Do not be decieved by the word Christian, it maybe a Chistian university but this is definitely not a traditional conservative Christian University. With that in mind if you do not believe in some traditional conservative Christian values, then you will be ok here. Although the shool is understaffed the professors where very good at responding to my emails and questions in a timely fashion. The online software is a little complicated to navigate but it is manageable but it is worse then using the blackboard software that I had used and gotten used to at my previous university for my Bachelors. Politically speaking I am an independent and I considered myself just to the right of center and I thought I would fit right in here until I started taking courses now i am starting to rethink what is just to the right of center these days. Not sure maybe I am just getting older and times are changing but I believe the word of God should stay the same no matter what and there basic principles that all Christians should agree on. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at this university. I am sure this review will get negative feedback and possibly be taken down from google but hey maybe it will help someone like me in there decision making on which university they should attend so that they can truly grow in there beliefs and values without having to battle their beliefs and viewpoints in every single assignment they have.J

Really bad communication. I have talked to the international advisor for 2 weeks, sent all my information to do a Master's, the advisor said that I would be able to qualify for the degree. After not having a 100% reliable feedback I have done an evaluation and sent to the advisor. She answered me saying that I won't qualify for the program. I began attending OLLU when I was still active duty in the Navy. I became interested in this school because I was looking for a Psychology program that had a basis in Social Work. What sold me on the choice was the class size. See before I joined the Navy and really my reason for doing so was because I didn't think that I nor my parents could afford to send me to college after high school. So without having the college experience, even at the community college level, I wanted a smaller and more focused approach at a school that had a great reputation and track record. Once enrolled I loved the quiet on campus environment and the facilities were modern enough for the resources provided. I truly enjoyed the gym. Because of the small campus and student body the gym was never crowded but had all the latest equipment so working out there was a dream. My professors were very understanding and provided options if at any time my schedule became a little complicated. I love this school and if I had more time in San Antonio I'd be able to finish my last few credits. Go SAINTS!!!!!Atlee Urquhart

I just finished my first semester at OLLU. The campus is amazing! The classes are small enough to where the professor can get to know each individual student and not see them as a number or paycheck. You always see the same people, so it isn't like meeting someone new everyday. By the end of one week, you remember people's faces even if you don't become friends or acquaintances. The professors I've had so far were awesome! The Survey for Mexican-American Literature, was my favorite professor. She is very passionate about culture and her job. The only dislike I would have about the school is the tuition, but then again most of the professors all care about the quality of education each student receives. There is also a higher chance at making new friends because of the small student population. Study groups aren't as awkward. Other than tuition, I don't have any problems with the school. Won't allow fans to attend the Baseball games (which draw literally 10s of people) in the open air because "safety is our main concern" according to the spokesperson I spoke with.. Attempting to keep people safe from a virus with a 99.9% survival rate at the cost of the student athletes and families not getting every possible opportunity to share this experience that MANY have overpaid for shows a lack of common sense or intelligent leadership.
