The building is not very inviting because it is so big, but once you get in and figure out what's where it becomes less intimidating. I graduated here with my associate's degree in Leadership. 60 of my credits transferred from NWTC to Concordia University of Wisconsin. I preferred the video conference classes. My son is currently attending the school. I was a student there back in the early 80's. The campus is very nice. Helpful faculty, variety of courses and majors. Good food choices at the cafeteria and a workout area with plenty of free weights and machines with an attached gymnasium. Lots of nice areas to study both inside and outside.David Klinzing

Excellent place to take a test! I took a certification exam through Pearson Vue at NWTC. The test center employees explained everything thoroughly and the center itself was quiet enough to take my exam. Professor Gorski, McHugh, and Lucas in particular went above and beyond to make sure students felt supported and were able to learn to the best of their ability. If you’re not sure what you’d like to major in there are brilliant advisors willing and ready to help you decide the route you would like to take. I visited Northcentral Technical college for my son who is a senior in Elkhorn high school who made it to the semi-finals for WI Esports for the game Smite and they hosted the competition for the semi-finals and finals for numerous games from high schools all over WI and I had a great time and the campus was awesome and really nice, the set up was awesome and everyone was so welcoming, I'd go back anytime!!!Elizabeth Orwig

I recently finished my second Technical degree for Metal Fabrication as a returning student. I delayed going back to school for years for lots of reasons, but mostly because I thought it would be as awful of an experience as High School was. Instead the teachers in my program were excellent. I was always challenged by the projects and supported in my learning in equal measure. If you're looking to get into welding or Metal Fabrication, these programs are career fields that need people, pay well, and you can learn them here! Don't sleep on the trade skills that can be taught here. Go to the open houses, see if these are things you're interested in doing. A 4 year degree isn't The guarantee of employment it used to be, but these one year Technical degrees, leading to in demand fields are.Travis H

Very nice tech college. Almost everyone you come across on campus can point you in the right direction. I just started school today online. But tomorrow I get to go to campus. It's a clean sanitary environment. There is currently some remodeling going on, so part of the building you cannot access… yet! AC was on, felt awesome. temperature didn't change much room to room either. All the employees seem to know their job very well and are willing to help. I chose Madison Area Technical College because I know many people that have graduated and successfully got into a job they wanted. This school is also smaller than UW Madison so I feel like the learning experience is better, more hands on, more participation versus a large school such as UW Madison.Shane Toycen

The good profs here are all just professors moonlighting from UW Madison, I'd honestly say you should apply to and go to literally any other UW system school before here. The quality of education isn't bad- but they somehow managed to misplace finances and put 650 bucks into collections randomly – without mailing me any notifications, and without a notifications on the online portal. You won't get competency from any of the administrative staff, expect 5 week long waits to see a counselor for any sort of urgent need. If you are a student with a disability – make sure you have additional copies of any medical documentation, they will claim to lose it. Most of the education staff despises the administrative staff and yeah, I can see why.Bee

I have had an amazing experience with Herzing University! I am excelling in my degree choice and I couldn't be more satisfied with my learning experience and the flexibility that the online program gives me.The instructors are all willing to help whenever I have a question, and if they see many students struggling with something, they will post an announcement with some helpful tips on how to proceed through our courses. The learning material is easy to understand, the discussion boards really help me connect with my classmates more than I normally would, the library is full of everything you might need for your studies, and the Coach rooms and Tutoring center are very helpful! I have seen many posts off and on about how students struggled in this school. I have to say the most common thing I see students struggling from in these courses is not doing the assigned work on time, not participating in the discussions, and not following the assigned directions on assignments. We have to take responsibility and do our work (on time!) or we will not succeed, and we should not blame someone else for our lack of trying. Just with everything else in life, if you do not put any effort into something, you will not gain anything from it. I stared with Herzing back in 2013 for my undergrad BSN RN. At that time, school was still establishing itself, therefore, I had some rough time getting through the program, but overall my experience was good. This year I came back for my MSN FNP and let me tell you ))) My experience with Herzing in 2019 is absolutely amazing. This school grew so much! Lots of support, any time you need it, everyone is very attentive and friendly. You still have to do a lots of studying, but isn't what we came here for? I am in my sixth week taking online courses at MATC. I have chosen the IT Support Associate Degree program, for two reasons: One the program is only two years, I’ll be able to launch into the job market faster, and because IT is such a diverse, and fast growing career path, I know I will find a fit into the IT world upon graduation. I chose MATC because MATC is convenient and conventional. I can take classes online, at my own pace, and be on campus for the classes I need more focus and dedication to. This IT program combined with my 10 plus years customer service experience, I know I will be able to reach any career goal I set. Now, while my interest in computers and knack for problem solving I know this career path will be suitable for me, however, to any prospective student looking for a quick money type of career, this program is not for you. This program consists of lots of physical and mental work, also taking consideration of the customers you are serving. If a prospective student welcomes challenges and is comfortable with asking questions and not feeling intimidated by the mass amount of information you will retain then this is a program for you. Prospective students should also be aware that they don’t have to work or figure stuff out alone, one of my favorite accommodations is having access to tutoring, whether online or in person- at all campuses. Fellow future students should also know that acquiring their degree at MATC is a smart money move, students can save thousands of dollars getting their education here, as opposed to a four year college/university. Information Technology is very informative program. This program breaks down a lot of things that can happen with computer systems. It is a to-date program. I choose this program because I want to go more in depth with technology. Everyone uses technology every day. I would like to be able to assist those who are not tech savvy. MATC I.T support program has a great path program. Pathway allows you get a few certificates take a break and come back for your diploma. Completing this program will give the knowledge and skill I need to become an I.T professional. Instructors are very helpful. Staff is friendly. My experience in MATC IT Computer Support Specialist program is limited but good so far. I chose to pursue this degree because it lines up well with my current work experience and career goals. So far, I have been able to take all my classes online with no scheduled class times, so I can complete assignments at my own pace without interfering with my work schedule. Another thing this program does well, is that it offers options to achieve many different certifications on your way to a degree. They also work with businesses to help their student get jobs after graduating. I would recommend this program to someone looking to get into IT Support as a career.Alexander Salas

Droms; I wrote an extensive review about dorm life, however it was too long for Google. To sum it up they will basically show you great dorms on the tour and then stick you in cramped and mostly unsanitary dorms. Housing is a flat rate at CUW so you will be paying roughly $3,300 a semester even though you live in the worst dorm rooms. I would also like to point out that the best dorms at CUW aren’t even close to being worth $6,600 a year and you could get a way better and more cost efficient apartment off campus with roommates. Classrooms and staff: The quality of the classrooms themselves vary depending upon which part of the school they are in. Classrooms in the newer Chemnitz, Coburg and Regents wings are really nice. They are carpeted and the equipment is decent quality. The older classrooms are tiled and consists of hard or old rolling computer chairs. The staff at Concordia is either hit or miss, as they are failing to properly accommodate the amount of growth Concordia is experiencing. I have had some great professors that I’ve learned a lot from, but also terrible ones. My freshman history teacher was only here for one semester and he was very biased. Even though he was taken care of, grades still suffered because of him and the entire class felt like a waste of time. The only definite upside to the classrooms at concordia is they are very small. Most classrooms consist of maybe 25 people, the very most being around 40. So if you need help from the professor they will most likely know you by name and be willing to lend a hand. Dining:There are three places on campus to eat; the Nest, Cafe, and landing. The Cafe is a buffet style cafe with several entrees, sides and a salad bar daily. The nest is a mesh of things including pizza, burgers, chicken, tacos, stir fry and a smoothie bar that are all open different times during the day. The landing is a sub shop, similar to that of subway, except choices are a lot more limited. All of this may sound great, but the selection isn’t enough. You will get sick of eating the same stuff all the time, and I mean literally sick. Sodexo is the food provider at CUW and they are basically the worst food provider possible. Give Sodexo a quick google if you don’t believe me. “Sodexo diarrhea” is actually a joke at the school because your bowels will let you know that what your eating is terrible quality. Most of the food they actually make in the cafe is dry or poor quality, so even though they have different entrees throughout the week the choices are limited based on quality. The landing is pretty decent, but the line is often ridiculous as they have three people working, but only one person actually making the subs. The nest stir fry is pretty good and the lady working the stir fry is an absolute sweetheart. The other options in the nest though are not cooked very well (burgers are over cooked or frys are undercooked and soggy) and will become repetitive quickly as it’s the only place to eat after 7pm on the weekdays. The staff at Sodexo is also pretty terrible consisting of a few veterans, some student workers and pretty much anybody willing to work a job. A lot of Sodexo team members don’t care about their job and come and go within a few weeks. One lady at the landing verbally assaulted my friend one time because she gave him mayo and he asked for no mayo. Overall, Concordia University is basically a trap. The reel you in by showing you expensive looking residence halls and equipment. They also give you what looks to be a large amount of aid (average is $8,000) but it only brings the price of university down to $24,000. There is a far better college experience and education to be had at other universities that cost way less. My advice, don’t attend CUW. *Update* Student life is terrible, there is nothing to do, but run on a treadmill. You can't even use the Field house to play basketball as without a supervisor you will be kicked out. There is never a supervisor available.Jesse Thomas

If you have a different religion/belief than the one school advertises, please be warned. They do not care or respect yours. As stated by one of the directors of this institute, "this is a religious entity first and educational institute second; not the other way around". It would be fair if this philosophy is conveyed at the time of admissions I signed up for MBA core course at one of the campuses. What I learned from that course was English composition, grammar, Bible study, theology and how to listen to stories. The syllabus was changed in the 2nd class not the first one out of 8 weeks class duration and homeworks were about religious text which has nothing to do with course. The final exam was copy of the original professor and had contents/questions which were not even discussed in the class. We did not even go through the contents of the book that’s mentioned in the syllabus. At Graduate level, this is not acceptable by any means. I expect to look beyond grammar and spellings page numbering and length of paper. I did submit to online writing help provided at the University and changed my term paper accordingly but was not appropriate according to the lecturer standard. Save your money and find admission at other place because they are not worth the fees you will pay compared to a state university.Do your homework before you join this institute. The state university is much cheaper and the degrees are well recognized across other universities than this one. You cannot transfer your credit from here to any state university either.I am still trying to find anything positive with this school.Jack Smith

I like MOST of the people and foundation it has there. But I don't feel that it is any more diverse than they would accuse to be. In my experience, its not as diverse as they make you think at first. For me, I love Concordia but there are obvious times when I do feel like I do not belong. And SOME professors are down right rude. I email, ask questions, and try to understand but their feedback always comes up short with opinions that are negative and show obvious reasons they simply do not care if I fail the class or not. That is just my freshman experience though.I hope this will not happen again.Asia Khang

I decided to transfer. Minimal funding for the humanities, so if your want to major in English, philosophy, history, etc maybe consider transferring for the sake of your education. I'm not exaggerating either- some of the adjuncts who work here have even told me to do this. The student body and some of the staff are incredibly arrogant, rude, and competitive. You will be stereotyped based off of where you come from- especially if you are from Illinois. I found that the people here don't try and get to know you for who you really are, even considering the fact that both you and them ended up at the same university. When I told my advisor I was planning on transferring, he scoffed and told me "Transfer wherever the h*** you want, my commission won't be affected" and then proceeded to tell me he had no clue how the transfer process worked, scoffed at me again, and told me "good luck". The dorm food is low quality, and to eat healthy you basically have to risk your life by crossing an on-ramp to the highway to get to Straz aka the dorm with the healthy food. There isn't much to do in the college town, and Milwaukee is a lot further away and more unsafe to get to than how the brochures portray it.Audrey Gordon

Marquette offers a great college experience and a fantastic education for well rounded young adults. Marquette is located in a fun city that is going through a healthy revival with a large community of people under 40 deciding to live in the city instead the the burbs. It's a Jesuit school, so the school and students are more conservative than public land-grant universities. We were impressed with the indications of community service, tolerance, and good works that we observed practically everywhere we looked. It was the only school we saw that had postings on their student boards for volunteer work and community service. Marquette also offers deep academic resources. I just graduated in May 2014, I could not be more grateful for the experience Marquette provided me over the last 4 years. It contains the great campus community of a large school while having the city of Milwaukee in walking distance for an endless amount of activities for weekends. The graduation and job rates are over 50% greater for MU grads compared to many of the local in-state schools, it's well worth the money. Do not let the high price tag published online scare you away, over 90% of students receive a scholarship starting freshman year.Brian Sobon

I have a degree in psychology from another university and decided to return to school for my BSN at Herzing Brookfield. The professors are amazing, supportive with every step and are really there for you any time you need them or ask for help. The tutoring is great and the rest of the staff is always there for the students for support, to problem solve, or help with anything as well. Schools in my past, it would take forever to see my adviser, meet with a professor or get an answer from financial aid. At Herzing Brookfield, all of the staff is great, I know my adviser (she was also my lab instructor), and financial aid is great at everything they do for the students here. The smaller class and lab sizes are great because we get much more focused attention from our professors and they really want to see us succeed. I have attended 2 colleges and 2 other universities in my past. I remember two advisers names out of all of those schools. Brookfield is very different because there is no way I would be able to forget my teachers, advisers or the rest of the staff. This has been the best experience I could have asked for.Irene Serrano

I have had the worse nursing experience in my life at this school. They do not teach to the exam so the only information you can rely on is all on your book. The teachers are helpful, but they have no control over what is being tested on the exams. For our first exam the class average was a 60% and this was the highest average between all schools. All of the students have voiced there opinions and we have been ignored. There is nothing possible about Herzing and you will end up failing or teaching yourself how to become a nurse. I have one year left and I want to withdraw so bad. This is not the place you want to be you will be miserable and on edge.China Chyna Chynah

My experience at Herzing has been amazing. I started my journey in 2018 with my Medical Assisting Diploma. The staff is amazing. I graduated in September of 2019 and decided why not go right back (May 2020) and begin my BSN journey. The flexibility in classes, the resources for students and the overall experience so far both times being a student has been amazing. Then becoming an Alumni and getting the help I needed to fine tune my resume and get a job as a Medical Assistant was amazing. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is an adult learning extension of UW Milwaukee that has brought learning experiences to many intellectually curious senior citizens in the greater Milwaukee area. It differentiates itself from other adult learning activities by the breadth of topics, the active participation in the organization by over 100 volunteers, the caliber of the presenters, and the continued pursuit of excellence through surveys of members and evaluation of the classes offered. The high caliber of the organization is reflected in its rapid adoption of virtual teaching made necessary by the COVID pandemic. The Institute didn't miss a beat in moving to a virtual platform. It has the technical expertise and member dedication to pull that off almost seamlessly. For me, one of the best parts of retiring was finally getting to start attending classes with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM, otherwise known to the members of our chapter as Osher. We can’t say enough good! Everyone was kind and caring and attentive. My husband came in with a ventilator and trach. He is leaving without those things, plus, he is walking and swallowing and a host of other things. When your loved one is in a medically fragile state, it is hard to trust caregivers. If I could leave less than one star, I would. I had a terrible experience with this dental office. Before rendering services, they ran the insurance information that I gave them and told me that services were covered, and my out-of-pocket expense would be $56. After the service was completed, they sent me a bill for $700. I called to ask why this was the case, and they said that my insurance did not cover the procedure, which was a deep-clean. They said that the estimate they had offered me was only an estimate, and therefore could not be taken as a guarantee. OK. When I asked why their estimate was so off, they loudly and aggressively berated me for not double-checking that THEY had the correct insurance listed (which, apparently, they had not). I then spoke to a customer service representative for Dental Associates named Ana. She told me that I could pay 50% of the cost, since they had run the wrong insurance. I said that was fine. She told me to wait until she had spoken with Dental Associates Beerline to see what their administration had to say. I then heard nothing from them for almost 2 months. A few months later, they bill me for $700 again. I reach back out to Ana and she tells me that I am responsible for 75% of the bill. Inconsistency, unreliability, and shifting the blame onto their customers. Go elsewhere for your dental services.Xueyou Wang

I would not recommend dental associate at Beerline. Outside of waiting several months to get appointment. When you are schedule for a cleaning and they feel that can't complete it in time, they conduct a consultation instead. While this doesn't seem to bad. It is when you have traveled to get your child from college to make a 7am appointment that he didn't receive service at. Then dental associate rescheduled for a month later a week, right before a holiday which will force the me the parent to again spend additional money to get my child here. After requesting to speak with a manager. Literally, I was firm with receptionist that this is not okay. I am currently waiting 20+ minutes to discuss this issue. There is no sense of urgency. On the plus size, when manager did come she was attempting to provide solutions. I advised her he has missed 3 classes, took off 2 jobs to be at this 7am appointment that ended in a conversation. This is not okay. People take time address health matters to be dismiss and reschedule is not good customer service. While I appreciate the manager doing her best to fix the situation. I had a disappointing visit with Dental Associates today. Although it was indicated that I was there for a full teeth cleaning, only my right side was cleaned. The hygienist said she wouldn't have time to do my left side and I would have to make another appointment for that. That was fine. However, I was told, at the reception desk, that I would have to pay to have the rest of my teeth cleaned. In fact, I was presented with a bill of over $700.00! I had already paid for my cleaning! I have been with Dental Associates for many years, but this was the first time such an incident occurred.Doreatha Mbalia

The receptionist, physicians assistant and doctor were all friendly and helpful. They asked lots of questions and listened carefully to my explanations. The only problem was a system issue. Their system wouldn’t accept my insurance numbers as an active account, although a call to my insurance company verified that the information was correct and my account active. My Medicare card did go through but I suspect there will be some billing issue from this. But this isn’t a problem caused by the medical staff. They were top notch and follow up calls with them were also treated with courtesy.Mary Rinehart

Been to urgent cares in the past, but this is the absolute best one I have been to. Jameisse was so great, listened, explained everything and oozed understanding. Then Doc Jake Packer treated me. He listened, discussed the treatment plan, and was so good. I have seen too many nurses and doctors who shouldn’t be in the care business. These 2 were so good. I can't even start to explain what a wonderful experience I had here. I use a power wheelchair, and it is nearly impossible to find a dentist office willing to accommodate disabled folks. While the exam/procedure room was a bit cramped, they were able to perform my extraction while I stayed in my chair! They were so kind, friendly, and attentive. As a person who uses a wheelchair, I often experience medical professionals who make it known how much of an inconvenience it is to accommodate my needs. The staff here — the reception, the dental assistant, the dentist — were all so patient, warm, reassuring and kind.I had two wisdom teeth extracted, and Dr. Feinman was amazing. He was gentle, kind and quick! And Shelly, the dental assistant was WONDERFUL. I can't express how pleasantly surprised I was that a dental appointment, as a person with a disability, could be so seamless. Thank you so much!!!Daana Townsend

I chose this place because I had to take my mother to get her teeth checked unfortunately it didn’t work. Because she has dementia is the reason why they were unable to see her. I did have to pay $100 to have her looked at it maybe come back But they gave me a credit for it. I had to wait but my wait was great the ladies who were there made sure I was comfortable by serving me a drink and a snack. Finally the dentist gets there he explains everything to me in fine detail and I had my tooth extracted. Awesome service from the Front desk staff to the dentist. Everybody was professional and polite. I went in with severe tooth pain. The dentist was phenomenal went over the x-rays thoroughly with me making sure all my questions were answered and make sure he got enough information to diagnose what was going on with my tooth. He gave me the options and what he wanted to try, which was the least invasive route which I love instead of going straight to something more drastic. Highly recommend them!! I have listed the Mission, Vision and Core Values for MATC below for everyone's review when considering the type of organization this is. I followed a link for registration (single class) and ended up at the online registration form. I completed the form and paid the $30 fee only to then realize that the registration was for an entire program, not an individual class. I called to ask for a refund of the fee (because it was made in error). I was told by Admissions over the phone that they would not refund the $30 fee AND THAT THIS TYPE OF ERROR HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND THEY DON'T REFUND FEES PAID IN ERROR!!!! This must be the ethical part listed below in the core values. If this is happening all the time….do you think there might be a problem with your online registration instructions?! It certainly does not seem like MATC follows their own Mission, Vision or Values when dealing with the community. I haven’t even started a class yet but I can tell you that the financial aid team is quit rude and unhelpful. I turned in a application months ago and didn’t find out that my application wasn’t turned in because I needed to verify information until I called about the status of it a month later. It is now a week until class payment deadline and still nothing. I called and the lady was very snooty and said I’ll find out when they contact me and refused to give anymore insight. Wow. UPDATE: I was notified that I was de-registered from my classes because of no payment. Even though when I was previously on the phone with the financial aid office the lady assured me that I would not be dropped from my classes even though it would go past the payment deadline. So I had to re-register for classes(that were luckily not all filled yet), wait on the phone for 25 minutes and talk to another person in the office about my situation. It really just seems like this department takes peoples education as a joke or something. The fact that I’ve sat on the phone over five times now and received different information every time, obviously you guys need to come together and go over how to communicate with the students. Especially for first year students, I have no idea how financial aid works. I had the belief that it would have processed through way before the class payment deadline. At this point I have no idea what to do next and not one person at this school has given me guidance that’s not rushed over the phone.Faith Viel-Cail

I choose IT Support as a career because of my curiosity of technology, it’s something I always been interested in for a long period of time now. I discovered that an IT Support Specialist is needed now a days especially with numerous remote from home jobs and it’s constantly expanding. So technology became a way a life for continuous growth, devolvement and opportunities. I found out that MATC have a good IT program for students that can further your curiosity and experience in the field of technical growth. The program will help me become certificated in certain things related-to in the pursuit of attaining a degree. Certain things I like about the IT program is that you become very knowledgeable in Windows operating system and MacOS. MATC (West Allis) and (Oak Creek) campuses are both a good environment for studying and having hands on experiences.C- Power

I've always had a good experience when giving blood, but today was probably the best I've had. Janae Smith was the nurse who was taking my blood, and she was by far the sweetest and most helpful person. She talked to me the whole time and was so friendly. It felt like I was there with one of my friends. She just had the most pure soul. I wish her nothing but the best and hope to get her again sometime!Haley Schmidt

Amazing service and very friendly staff. They'll take care of you, be nice to you and help you understand what's happening and what are your options. They'll offer you plenty of snacks and drinks throughout the whole process. The nurses on the registration desk are super helpful and professional. The team was top class, thoroughly explaining everything that was going on (even bringing medical terminology down to my understanding level) and took great care of my girlfriend and I throughout the whole day. I would leave zero stars if I could. I needed to complete a DOT physical. My card was run three times before the credit card reader took my payment. It took one hour before I was able to begin the drug screen portion of my physical. While I waited to see the doctor ( African woman) I was able to hear casual conversation about the doctor being ready to leave for the day (3:45pm on a Friday) the doctor discussed her plans for the weekend and made jokes with other staff, this conversation went on for about 26 minutes. When the doctor came in to complete my physical (4:38pm) she was rushed and very rude and told me she would not complete my physical until my doctor’s office faxed over my restrictions from surgery in December, despite me reassuring her that I have no current restrictions. The doctor raised her hand to me and said I’m not giving you anything(Fed Med Card for Semi drivers), would you like to continue the physical. If this Concentra is the closest location to you, drive out of your way for peace of mind. I spent three hours and 44 minutes in this location for a routine physical. If I could give them no stars I would. This place is a joke. They don’t let anyone sit in the lobby, they are on their own time and don’t care about patients. I sat for over 3 hours to be called into a room to sit for over an hour just to pee in a cup for a drug test. The dmv moves faster. I watched a countless number of people get called in and walk out before me, who walked in long after I did. Save your time, money, and sanity and go somewhere else.Brittanie W-Davis

Terrible experience. I waited over 4hrs. The staff is nice & friendly- but they are so unorganized. Never have a seen a healthcare establishment so inefficient. Ridiculous. I can only imagine if I had use UrgentCare facilities. I am beyond in disbelief about the care and time management. Terrible Terrible Terrible Terrible. For each hour of waiting. This is the worst!!! I’m very disappointed in this community based dental clinic. I went in to see the dentist and was told I needed an extraction. I insisted on have the missing tooth replaced with something immediately. I work in dental so I suggested an extraction and placement of a bridge. I was told to summit my insurance and come in with income info. I was giving an estimate and was told that the dr will contact me. Almost 3 months later and 2 doses of antibiotics Dr Carpenter called to inform me that they do not do bridges for Medicaid pt so they couldn’t do for me. I don’t have Medicaid and I informed him that what he said was very discriminatory against me and all of the Medicaid patients. This place is in the heart of the inner city to provide services for the community and yet they aren’t willing to do certain procedures do to the patients insurance being provided the state of Wisconsin. I was given a $ amount to pay cash and was ready to proceed with my dental care, but was told “No” based off of someone else’s insurance. They have experienced dentist and a dental director on staff and no one is will to provide a service for someone that was willing to pay cash.Makeba Phillips

Waited a year to get into this dentist after being misdiagnosed by Marquette (which is another story). I went in for a checkup and a cleaning. Every time I go to a dentist I let them know that I have a genetic disorder that makes me VERY susceptible to sharp pain, and that I have a low pain tolerance and high novo/lidocaine tolerance. That didn’t seem to mean much here. The checkup and cleaning were both painful, and I’ve never had a painful cleaning before! The assistant rushed through the cleaning instead of taking their time, and I had to keep asking for a topical painkiller which did nothing for how rough they were (it was a young woman assistant with many tattoos doing the cleaning). The dentist herself said she would make sure that I would be properly numbed for future drilling, but with how rough that assistant was I was too scared to return since I was crying in pain after I left. Before I went here, a Marquette student misdiagnosed me w/ a ‘rare nerve disorder’ and refused to treat me when I just needed a tooth pulled, and then recommended this community dentist that left my gums sore and bleeding and with a renewed fear of the dentist.M Troxell

I received my COVID vaccine here and it was an excellent experience. Scheduling the vaccine on the call center line took about 10 minutes. When I arrived for the first shot, I was taken for the vaccine a few minutes early and moved through the paperwork phase and then the shot in minutes. The young man administering the shot was cordial, and I hardly felt a thing. I was then shown to a waiting area where a nurse was present for the 15 minute wait. I appreciated having the nurse there. Friends who received their shots at pharmacies said they were told to walk around the store for fifteen minutes. The whole process at Progressive was efficient with friendly staff. I would highly recommend them.Pat Gahl

I worked at St. Ann for about two years and a half. When I first started working there, I loved it so much. I was hired as a Lead Teacher. A year later, I was chosen to take upon a promotion to be the Curriculum Specialist. I felt very honored to accept the promotion, not knowing that things would get so rocky. As an Administrator at St. Ann, I was treated unfairly. My office was located upstairs, while the other Administrative Staffs' offices were downstairs. A lot of times, but not all, the other administrative staff would discuss things, leaving me out. There would be only certain meetings that I was allowed to attend. I was told not to talk to the teachers. If they come to me with anything, other than the Curriculum, I needed to send them to the director, which I was fine with, but why all of a sudden teachers couldn't come to me about anything? I didn't quite get it. There was one particular situation that had me walking on thin ice. That's when a teacher lied and said I told her to call the state on them. This teacher also said I was harassing her, telling her she should file for a Workmen's Compensation for an injury she attained while picking up a student while at work. This never happened, but i received a write-up for it. I feel they wrote me up because they believed the teacher when she said I tried to encourage her to call the state on them, because she felt like the Administrative Staff weren't doing their job correctly when a student got outside and was outside more than five minutes. This teacher would always pick on me. They took her word, which led them to wrongfully writing me up for violating the Harassment Policy. I took the write up and tried to still work my job. However, another incident happened. There were teachers that would hit on the students. Unfortunately, my daughter was one of the victims. I was in the hallway when I noticed this particular teacher's body motions go up and down. Next thing I heard was my daughter screaming and crying. Instantly, I walked in her classroom and asked the teacher if she hit my daughter. She told me that she just pushed her head. I went to my supervisor and what do you know, the teacher received a verbal warning. My daughter was moved to a new classroom. In her new classroom months later, I seen a teacher tap my daughter in her mouth about five times because she almost bit another student. I took it to my supervisor and she took the teacher's story and didn't do anything about it. Once my daughter aged out of that room and moved to the classroom next door, my daughter came home telling me that her teacher hit her. She told me that on three different occasions. The second time she told me, I talked to the coteacher to see had she noticed anything. She said no and I left it alone. On the third time, I called a meeting with my supervisor. My supervisor called her licensor in on the meeting, which was awkward. However, I was never notified of what was going to happen to ensure the safety for my daughter, which led me to walk off of my job. I mean I liked my job, but the Administrative Staff has some serious work to do, before something more serious happens. I do not feel that students are safe there. There's no cameras to check on your child. The Adminstrative Staff don't fix the problems when parents come to them, unless it's a teacher they don't care too much for. They will fire you for the dumbest things, whereas, teachers who hit on students get verbal warnings. However, it's a beautiful facility that needs tons and tons of improvement from the Administrative Staff and some of the teachers.Natasha Phillips

This place has been a godsend! My adult son has autism (and epilepsy) and it has been impossible to find a dentist that knows how to service individuals like him. I was told about St. Ann's by his case manager and nurse. The first time we walked through the doors we were welcomed and treated like family. Everyone I have met there has been so kind. I have to give a shout out to Z. She amazed me with her calmness and understanding of what my son was feeling like/going through while she was cleaning his teeth. He's usually in fight or flight mode but she was able to talk him through it. It was absolutely amazing!! Thank you so much!! You can tell that everyone there really cares about everyone that comes to St. Ann's. It's an amazing place and I wish there was a St. Ann's in every cityShelly Heather

Awesome doctor! Awesome hygienist! Worked very well with my daughter. The receptionist had an attitude. We did not feel welcomed. She never acknowledged us, or checked us in. She wore her mask under her nose and did not seem like she wanted to be at work today. She called yesterday and verified the appointment time at 2pm. Then we get there and are told the appointment is 230pm. Not a good start for being a new patient. They need a new receptionist ASAP.Tina Hughes

Best urgent care in Milwaukee that I've experienced. The receptionist was helpful, especially when helping me find a legal parking spot (the worst part of this visit, though not their fault. Bring quarters or download the parking app). I had a very bad day leading up to my visit and when I walked in and was told that I couldn't stay parked where I was I nearly cried from pain and stress and a nurse (i am pretty sure she was a nurse) came out immediately to help me and calm me down. After I checked in, which was fine, I was able to move my car and when I got back I only had a short wait despite there being a lot of people. I do think in the future I will schedule an appointment, although I'm glad I didn't this day. If you are concerned about wait times, you can go on their website and reserve some time. When I got to the exam room, my nurse was extremely kind and understanding. I waited to see a physicians assistant because I was more comfortable with a woman due to the nature of my procedure, so I had an additional wait time since she hadn't arrived yet, but had I not requested that I would have been in and out very quickly, as when she did arrive it was a very quick process. It ended up being very painful but this wasn't their fault either as it is a difficult procedure to anesthetize for and I also have some resistance to numbing agents, but the nurse was there to help me through it. Afterwards they were helpful and informative about the things I'd need to do at home and gave me some supplies as well. I would definitely go here again should I ever have to!Alyssa C

The nurse that took my vitals and talked with me was kind and compassionate as she asked me about why I came in to the Urgent Care. When the doctor came in he admitted that he hadn't even looked at my chart and claimed that I was there for something I never even talked about. I had to repeat myself about ten times before he actually acknowledged me. Even then he told me that I could leave my complaints about him in the comments section when I reviewed them. I wasted almost 3 hours just to be ignored by this so called doctor who did nothing and I left still with pain in my legs. That doctor could have cared less. I mean what kind of doctor says well ok, go ahead and leave your complaints in the comments section. Terribly unprofessional and would avoid at if all possible. No one deserves to be treated like that especially when they're already dealing with a health concernandy kapfenstein

This has been one of the most efficient and friendliest staffs and medical care I have received in an urgent care setting in a very long time. With the major strain on our health care infrastructure right now and facilities operating with fewer staff and resources this experience almost felt like pre COVID times. My wait was minimal, though I imagine that has to do with the fact that I came in early and my experience from checking in to discharge was excellent. My care included a thorough examination, a PCR COVID test and chest X-ray. Medical Assistant Jakia, Physician’s Assistant Sara and X-ray tech Phil were excellent care providers.Sara Pontillo

Positive – I had a bittersweet experience at WCTC. As a honor student graduate of the Human Services program, I thought my instructors were excellent on that subject, particularly Lisa Walz. Additionally, my time spent in practicum was eye-opening and informative – as it should be. I thoroughly loved my major and felt teachers that were passionate and experienced in the field gave great real-life advice, especially the aforementioned Lisa Walz, Debra Farrington, Jason Witt, Trisha Wollin, and Carin Anick-Quinones. In addition to my Associate Degree, I also obtained certification in Developmental Disabilities and Youth Care Counseling. These have proven to be helpful transfer credits for my BA and soon towards my MA as well. The campus itself is a pleasant atmosphere for learning and I made some lasting friendships and resourceful contacts along the way. Negative – During my education I was pregnant and I was met with some hostility/prejudice. I had my child at the end of my Fall 15/16 semester and had to come in person to finish my "Math with Apps" exam, while the instructor was excellent in working with me – the person in the library (who I only had met to hand me my exam and did not catch his name) was rude and told me that he didn't think it was right that I be able to finish my course this way. I was just kind of dumb-founded, took my exam, passed with flying colors, and snuggled up with my babies. There was also another instructor, Dr. Mike Melnick who did not allow me to leave his class to use the restroom despite being as pregnant as I was. He felt it was unfair to the other students. There was one incident at the end of the semester where I was sick (and still pregnant) and he had no tissues in his classroom. He would not let me leave and instead gave me a cloth that looked eerily similar to a breastfeeding cloth to wipe my nose with.Meg Goodlad

Long story short. I was dropped off at the college center (the front building of the campus) and the 2 students who I waved at, to ask directions to the ‘S’ building deliberately started walking fast et and turned the corner. I ran into a janitor that gave me directions to the ‘S’ building with no issues I walk in to the ‘S’ building at 7:01pm And asked a group of woman where the victim impact panel program was being held and they pointed to a door. I knock on the door after checking and noticing they were all locked. (7:03 on the clock) An old white man late 70’s sitting down facing the door just shook his head at me. Then an older lady about the same age came to the door and told me to leave. I pleaded with her and told her I don’t have a car and nobody gave me directions when I got here She just refused to listen to me and shut the door in my face in the whole I was talking. I was 3 mins late and they wouldn’t let me in a program I paid to be into. And I was 3 minutes late. By the Ik when someone is acting different cause the color Of my skin. I have been happy with WCTC as a student. WCTC has a surprisingly diverse student body. I really enjoy being able to take classes online. I was worried about the accelerated schedule for my program but it has been great. Canvas is straightforward and easy to use. I have yet to meet an instructor who is not invested in my success. The campus is easy to navigate and offers nice student amenities. The college also offers resume writing assistance, free healthcare services, plenty of internship opportunities with local employers, and transfer agreements with great four year schools. Some downsides are some class schedules are not released until the week the class starts. I have not been able to get help with an updated plan for scheduling classes at all beyond my original plan. You will receive an annoying amount of spam/phishing emails and fake job offers. I regret not going back to school sooner! I hope this review helps.Christopher K
