I attended this institution and it was the first time I felt like paying for education was actually “education”. The learning signature at Ensign College is amazing, it’s not “engaged” learning, it’s immersive learning. They actually prepare you with soft skills and real world experience and problem solving abilities that make you an asset day one on any new job. President Kusch (the president of Ensign College) is a Master at this learning signature and has a Ted-Talk on how school should be like the world field, a place where you actually are prepared to deliver value immediately. The spirit is amazing at Ensign College because the culture is one of kindness and love but also high expectations and accountability. There’s a natural feeling of “I want to become someone better” when you walk into the doors of the building. I always tell everyone that it’s the first time in 4 years of college I felt I didn’t waste a penny on tuition because of the value I got. I’m Ensign’s biggest fan, you have to at Least walk in the doors and take a tour.Johnny Murdock

I came to Utah as an 18 year old knowing nothing about what I wanted to do with my adult life. Most of my college career I knew Ensign as LDSBC, this is my last semester at the college. I have had the chance to grow spiritually, and mentally. The price is unbeatable from anywhere else, I have loans of about $20k while many of my friends at the U are $50-70k behind in loans from their bachelors degrees which proves that Ensign is a great price. I did a paralegal studies certificate and found that I will be able to make significantly more than my peers at the U at my first college graduate job. While I will not be working as a paralegal, (I’ll be working at a small business instead), I have my degree to fall back on if I lose my job in the future. Great Cybersecurity and CS classes, taught by professionals in the field with real experience. I went from being laid off from my construction job to landing a Java developer position within a little over a year – teachers like Jeff Light provide an environment where a lot is expected but a lot is provided as well. The school its self is also great. you can tell it's been newly renovated, with fancy shmancy checkouts in the outpost (cafe on the first floor), useful two floor library with private study rooms, and a really friendly school culture. not to mention having trax right next door gives quick access to the gateway and city creek for lunch / dinner. Does anyone get the feeling that many of these 5 star reviews are ingenuine? I attended Provo College for 2 semesters in 2011. I believe at the time they only offered an Associates for nursing, not a BSN. The tuition was very expensive, but they sit you down 1 on 1 with someone who gets you started on loans. At the time it seemed great that they were so helpful, but l later realized it was benefitting them more than me…which is why they make that part of the process so easy for students. I ended up leaving because the financial aid ended after 2 semesters and I didn't want $60k of debt for a 2 year nursing degree. The other thing that I didn't like was even though I was paying them insane tuition, they would have us come to a classroom for remote learning from Utah State University. This means you might take a math course from them and pay 3 grand, or however much it costs for one class, but you are basically doing it online/remote through USU…but you're paying way more than if you just went to USU. I later went to UVU and was able to compare the anatomy course I did at PC versus what students said it was like at UVU, and the course at UVU held students to a much higher standard. After a short personal experience at this college, and the ability to compare it to the other colleges I've attended, I wouldn't recommend it.Derek Drennan

I am about to finish my first year of nursing school. I have really enjoyed my experience here at Provo College. One of the the many things that I like about this program is the faculty. The faculty really gets to know you and you aren't just another number in the classroom. Each of them know me personally and even call me by my nickname. The faculty really wants you to succeed in the program. Tudors are made available to you if you are having problems in a course at no extra cost to you. Currently as a nursing program we are working on a service project, where we are making blankets for a local pediatrics unit. This is a great program that I would highly recommend! Provo College is such a great school!! The faculty, staff, and program administrators are totally invested in the students. I felt a genuine sense of caring from everyone there the first time I visited the campus- even the campus president took time to introduce himself and get to know me a little. The nursing program is amazing – all of my friends in the program had great internships, passed the NCLEX test the first time and have found fantastic jobs they love. I've been an instructor at the Salt Lake campus for over 5 years; it has been fun, challenging, and rewarding. The nursing and dental hygiene programs are difficult (whose programs aren't?), but the pass rates for both programs are exceptional. The HVAC program is outstanding, and the director of that program is well connected and extremely informative. In all programs, many of the instructors have been there for several years. The students who focus their efforts…do well. But many students come into the program thinking that it's going to be a piece a cake and it really isn't. There will be countless hours of studying, and homework. And some of the students who fail out of the program blame the school for that, when in reality they either weren't prepared for the amount of work or just couldn't pass. I've watched hundreds of students graduate over the years and get jobs for 2-4 times what they made before they enrolled, and it is life changing money for them. Fortis College is a good school, and yes, it is expensive, but it's a better option than waiting five years on a waiting list to get into a less expensive school. The overall length of the programs are also much shorter, and this allows the graduate to begin working much faster than a traditional college or university.M Stone

Fortis College has a lot of great career choices! It's bitter sweet this is last module, I'll miss all the amazing instructors, who have helped me more than ever! Staff is literally so helpful and friendly, they do an awesome job of making everyone feel so welcome. I'm a very hands on learner and that is one of the reasons why I wanted to come to Fortis, almost everyday lab time, private tutoring available if needed. I love how much I've learned in just this short amount of time, I feel more than ready to get out into my field and pursue my career in Dental Assisting. Class sizes are extremely nice, everyone gets there own one on one time with instructors, hours of classes are offered to best fit with your schedule, campus is open from 7am-9pm. Perfect for working around other priorities. Coming to Fortis gave me a whole other outlook on college, starting from what career I might be interested in, to financial aid, to graduating in march. I attended the nursing program at Fortis College. This program was not only the hardest thing I have ever done but also the most rewarding. I am a single mom of three kids and going back to school was scary! Once I made the decision to do this I knew there was no looking back. The instructors are so supportive, the classes are small and if you need one on one time to understand a specific principle then this school is a great match for you. I spent countless hours after class studying with instructors. The staff are all incredible. I'm not saying this school is perfect but no school is. What I am saying is if your determined and have a strong desire to succeed in life then this is a great program. I received a job offer for my dream job in the ER with a month of graduation and can honestly say the sacrifices made for two years are so worth it. A very good place to go to get your CNA Certification! Carol and Claudia were both very helpful, and they had practice tests and skills that were more difficult than the test, which helped you be prepared and not nervous for either the skills or knowledge sections of the test. Both were easier than the tests at ccCNA. Good vibes all around as well, and made several friends inside the healthcare bubble. ccCNA is a great program. They give you all the tools and knowledge to have the confidence to say you're going to pass your certification tests. Carol and Claudia are personable and they know how to make the learning you're doing interesting with a little splash of fun and humor. I've actually taken this program twice and I would do it a third time if it was ever needed to recertify again. Carol, Claudia and Linda are great. They explain everything in detail and train you in order to be prepared for the State test. Their practice tests are the best way to be ready for the knowledge test. And the practice with the mannequins in the classroom are a great way to have a good idea of what is expected to demonstrate in the skills test for the State. I absolutely love my school! I transferred from Ameritech because it wasn’t the greatest for me and Arizona college could not be more of a blessing in my life! The teachers really care about you and the staff is always always so kind and there to help. On top of that the faculty goes the extra mile decorating and celebrating every Holliday! I love love my school!!! 10/10 recommend!!! The financial aid are clear about costs and so on top of communication! There are no hidden fees which i struggled with at my old school. He had to move around the time of the test and was extremely well at communicating that to me and making sure I had other options if that didn't work in my schedule. Fantastic instructor. Did a great job at covering everything we needed to know in a way that was enjoyable and preparing us for the test. Meadow Brook care center has assisted me when I could not even sit up in bed without assistance, due to severe n central nervous system. To day, I have been here 1) year. Now with support and encouragement I can use a walker by myself. Dress myself, get in and out of bed, use the commode and was assisted in obtaining my own power chair, so I may do my own light shopping. Something I though I may never be able to do. Activities has taken me to do archery in Park City, where safely both tirips, got a bulls eye. I am very grateful for the many kind staff and the way I have been treated, which has not always been an easy prospect.AsI have at times been cranky. The food is pretty good and the veriety /"presentation is beyond what one might expect. The facility is clean and safe. The Nurse are always available and professional. I would highly recommend Meadow Brook to friends and family to see for themselves if the 41 bed , personal attention is appropriate care for you and your family.Brother L McNair

I am a former employee at highland care center. This place is a wreck. Their nurses talk trash on other employees, and say you don’t do your job, but I write all of my reports, and some how come up missing. The nurses will tell me not to tell the next shift that a resident have fallen. No one here cares about the residents, it’s only a pay check to them. I have a screen recording of Jessica talking trash about me, she’s the CNA coordinator. She also told I would be a getting a bonus for working 6-6 and working 6-10 and now I’m no longer getting those bonuses because I left. The management needs to fire a few nurses and majority of their CNA because they treat them residents like trash. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE IF YOU DONT WANT THEM TAKEN CARE OF PROPERLY.Felicia Hughes

I was a patient from August to October 2021. Physical therapist are very good. After that not good. Temperature in the rooms in the hallways where 80 degrees to 90 degrees or even hotter. That was a regular thing. I tried to turn it down myself. A few ok MOSTLY assistants were regularly 40 minutes plus an hour plus late. Yes some times response 10 20 30 minutes but less than half the time. At night the nurses are very late with the meds especially if you're on a pain maintenance. Over an hour late with your next pill is not good.! Maintenance guy it was very good very helpful. The place has been redecorated and it looks good. Don't let that fool you. The place is just Dreadful. Especially when you're stuck there.Brent Eggertsen

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was a CNA here. Probably one of the best they had alongside a couple others. But this place to work was absolutely miserable, just as much as it is for the residents to live there. They mistreat all of their aides and over work them to the point they either quit or get fired for something. Communication is very poor, managers were usually never to be found, CNA coordinators were very messy and not very honest about their employees. Horrible, horrible place to work. Our family was very impressed by the compassionate, kind and diligent care that the management and staff of the life care center provided our mother and grandmother during her stay at the Life Care Center of Salt Lake City. Our mother was there for 6 month and never did we have a complaint about the care she was given. Due to her progressive dementia she could be very difficult and accusatory to staff but management and staff always treated her with the utmost respect and compassion. Management would take time to listen to her every concern and always responded with a hug and a pat on her hand to calm and reassure her that everything would be taken care of. The dietary staff took special note of her love for cheese and made sure daily she had cheese cubes and cottage cheese available for her. Food was one of her favorite things and she constantly told us how gourmet the food was at the Life Care Center. The laundry staff followed her every request on the care of her clothing even ironing her blouses which was above and beyond what they needed to do. The nurses were so amazing that even when family wasn’t there and we had concerns the nursing staff would drop what they were doing and go in to check on her. They would then return my call to keep me informed and involved of what was going on. During her last days it was difficult for family and the staff accommodated our every need as we sat with her. Even after her passing the staff offered to help move her belongings to family member’s vehicles. We will forever be grateful to the staff of the Life Care Center for the loving and compassionate care they provided our mother and grandmother. Brandy HarrisAlan Harris

Don't bring your loved ones here if you care about their quality of life. I am so livid with the level of neglect by the staff here and how they treated my beloved grandmother. The one instance that stands out to me most clearly, one night I was visiting late (around 9pm) and as I was leaving, I asked the CNA on duty if she could please go help my grandmother change into her pajamas and get into bed. She said she would be right in. When I returned early the following morning, I discovered my grandmother was still wearing the same clothing she had on the night before – even her shoes were still on! And she was laying on top of the covers with only a throw over her to keep her warm. Furthermore, she was on a strict renal diet due to kidney failure, but Life Care Center does not accommodate that apparently. Everyone just gets whatever they're serving that day regardless of dietary needs, and they fed her a lot of foods she was not supposed to be eating. Another time, I overheard one of the staff members refer to my grandmother as "What's-Her-Face in room 203." Let's just say I've spent a lot of time in my life visiting loved ones in assisted living facilities, and I have never been more dissatisfied with the quality of care as I have been with this place. I wish there was more I could do about it.j

My mother was admitted to Life Care for rehab due to a broken femur. She was there for approximately 2 weeks. Our experience there was very positive. My mother also has Alzheimers Disease and was confused as to where she was. The staff was very patient and took care of her and adjusted as best they could for the additional complications resulting in Alzheimers. All care facilities including hospitals are short staffed particularly after Covid. We were appreciative of the great care she received. There are negative reviews of this center and everyone's experiences vary but my mother flourished in this place from the rehab to all the activities provided. For the most part, the staff knew her name, they made accommodations for her like leaving her food tray because it takes so long for her to eat and changing her food prep because difficulty in chewing. We were happy with her experience and our experience at Life Care Center.Stacey West

I am part of a hospice team who recently worked with one of the patients at City Creek Post Acute Nursing and Rehab. I was impressed by the combined experience of their nurses and aides. City Creek is an older facility, but it is very clean and organized. It has been recently updated and remodeled giving it a refreshed look. It is located in the heart of downtown and they provide many activities. I think they have more access to performers and talented volunteers due to their location near the University of Utah and many other artists. While I have been there in the last week I have seen them having musical performers, bingo and tea social hour for the residents. The rehab team also was actively engaging patients in their exercises and therapy. The City Creek Team is packed with an optimistic group of professionals. This is having a positive affect on the long term residents and also for those receiving rehab.Amy Muller

Most awful place to leave your loved one. They will "misplace" important and very expensive meds and discontinue others without consulting family or even a neurologist. My sister ended up with many seizures and back to the hospital neurology unit because of these 2 medication mishaps. Most aids are nice and helpful but some are combative and others treat their adult patients like babies. Very off putting. Administration is also very clueless. Getting a response from medical records is impossible. Been leaving messages for a copy of the vaccination records for weeks now.Starla Collard

I have never written a negative review in my life. But I feel compelled to here.the food was pretty good. The staff was friendly in general (besides 1 or 2). They were either understaffed or the staff didn't have the experience or common sense to do necessary care. Even after I spoke to the director of nursing & she apologized, nothing really changed. Either she didn't make sure instructions were passed down properly or they the night nurse simply ignored them. There seems to be a systematic problem. Are you thinking of enrolling in Pharmacy school? Well unless you have some compelling connections it is not worth it at all. Do not fall into the trap this school sets by making it sound like they have a high placement rate and that pharmacists make large sums of money. Here is the unfiltered truth. Pharmacy as a profession is suffering and private schools such as Roseman are responsible for the state it is in, by flooding the market. Private schools are willing to accept anyone into their programs in order to keep their doors open year after year. Their tuition continues to rise, and pharmacist pay continues to decrease as jobs become scarce. It is supply and demand, there are more people willing to work than positions available, and businesses capitalize on new grads that work for less, with little to no benefits. If you are someone with connections it is almost a guarantee that you will have to move to the middle of nowhere in order to get a part time job. The school will brag that almost every student has a job when they graduate. What they won’t tell you is that most students that have a job are going to be with CVS working 24 hours a week in a stressful work environment, with no benefits package, and likely over 200k in student loans you will slave to work off. This is not a six-figure job with a 401k and the choice to move anywhere that has a pharmacy. It is cut throat and as the years go on more and more people are going to be crushed by debt and no real career to speak of. Pharmacy used to be a career where only the best got in. 82.7% of pharmacy school applicants are accepted into pharmacy school now (Unable to put URL on google reviews). If you can get a loan now, you are in. This speaks volumes about the state of pharmacy, and how private colleges are negatively impacting not only the job market, and the pharmacy career, but also people’s futures. Roseman and private colleges like it are selling people on a positive future that is simply not there. If schools like this had any respect for people and for our evolving career, they would lower classroom sizes and decrease staff in order to match the job market. Due to the high volume of desperate employees many pharmacy chains are willing to push pharmacists to an unhealthy extreme in the work place, because if the person decides they cannot handle it, or demands more technician help, they can either quit or be fired, then the next hungry for work employee will step in and take the abuse until they are burned out too. If your only endgame is pharmacy, then don’t be surprised when the only options that are available are in some rural towns in Alaska and the border between Mexico and Texas, where you can battle new grads for working hours and reduced salaries. For the rest of the people looking for a rewarding, lucrative career. Check elsewhere because pharmacy has been milked dry.Connor Mathison

Having a BSN AND MS IN NURSING I WENT TO THE DENTAL CLINIC. Stay away. There is minimal guide credit and it is like they are all on their first day. I have been in the dental field my whole like. These students would ask about my friend who would come with me. The majority of the people who laughed at me and were in a niche where the students from the Philippines. I saw this in nursing too. They tend to be in groups, talk their language so others have the patients have no idea what they are saying Just like my experience the dental area the Filipino students have horrible dental chair skills. I could go on and on, but I would stay away from Roseman dental clinic where they make it sound like experienced dentists are doing the work or are right by the chair where the work is being done.. It is cheap but a total joke. Please try other places. Even if you are in the dental program , I was with them and they did horrible things to my mouth. They say you get what you pay for. The Filipinos female and male who worked on my a lot were always asking who is this guy who comes with you? Is he married….. It was repulsive. They never asked me how things went after my last treatments. Most of the dentists either retired or watching over the students that worked on me would walk over then leave and I would never see them that visit again. They did not care what kind of work the students were performing on me.KoolerTrek

For the last 3 days I've been experiencing pain in my rear molars and gums so I decided to visit the Roseman campus in South Jordan. I was seen within 15 minutes even as a walk in with no appointment, more than likely that was the luck of the draw but never the less a great surprise. They were able to take 3 separate x-rays and give me a diagnosis all for only $55.00. Their diagnosis, explanation and recommendations were very clear and precise. I went in there wanting a diagnosis with possible remedies and that's what I got. I'm very happy to have heard of Roseman and will no doubt return when needed, as a matter of fact at these prices I might just make a standing every 6 month appointment. I love the U of U!! Since I was a child we played in the fountains at the library. Took classes and enjoyed them very much!! My son got his bachelor's in kinesiology there and loved it. My father got a teaching degree there. My sister got a Pharmacy degree there. My daughter is currently getting an engineering degree there. My sister got a math teaching master's there. After a few conversations through email and phone call I was advised to come in anytime to get some additional information regarding the nail tech program and talk to student services. I did go in a few weeks ago I was excited to get more information I talked to Jennifer P and I have never felt more unimportant in my entire life every question I asked she said you can find that on our website , she basically gave me no answers and seemed to be rushing me off if anything . I have been a student at Davis tech for almost two years at this point. I have loved it! I am in the medical coding and billing program and am getting ready to take my licensing exam in October. The staff have been so kind and helped me in any way they could when things were a bit rocky in the beginning. they were patient and understanding when I was coming to school at the time when I was planning my wedding. all in all I have loved my time as a student of this institution. Terrible work experience. The DTC staff will completely lie to you in your interview to get you in the door. Management won’t bother to show you how to do your job. Then, management will have the nerve to tell you that you’re not performing properly!! I’ve been reading in the comments that students don’t receive proper instructions or help from instructors as well. I guess it’s typical business practice for the DTC. It is my first day at Westminster College (8/25/2017) in the MPH program and it made a huge transition on my career choice. Currently, most of the Professors are working in the Public Health filed, which provides student with up to date information and challenges of Public Health program. Everyone at Westminster College is welling to help minimizing the level of stress of grade school. It is amazing how they came up with unique program of MPH. It Is a truly different environment from my undergrad University where professors invest the very effort and time on their student career. Beautiful college, small population of students, excellent buildings with useful tools. Absolutely live the gym, its three floors 💞💞 some great professors, but also some poor ones. Make sure to find reviews on your professors or ask to change within the first week. Great theater and events. This college really was a dream come true, I met some of the realist people in my life. The lacrosse team is excellent, great field to play on. Great little shops near by, bed bath and beyond, red lobster, olive garden. Really great experience overall.Bella Gold

My youngest graduates from here in TWO weeks! This college- tho liberal- is incredible with its awareness of current trends and events. They have a keen awareness of humanity and constantly seek out community involvement and mentorship for their students. I have spoken here at their business school I have attended academic events and luncheons on behalf of the community. I’ve toured here with my daughter. I’ve enjoyed art exhibits and student and teacher interactions that have changed me for the better. Excellent institution!Wendy Bird

Our own experience with JCC, specifically with the ECC (Early Childhood Center) last spring was worse than we could have imagined. After several months of closures, we requested a refund for the 2020-2021 tuition deposit for our daughter's preschool class. When we started to piece together that some families were being provided a tuition deposit refund and not others, we inquired about it to the executive director and were lied to about the situation. Even after calling them out, we were offered no reasonable explanation or refund. The situation ruined our trust with the JCC and, as such, we would not recommend it. We also noticed that, the last time we had checked, out of our daughter's entire preschool class from the 2019-20, only one family was planning to return (who happened to live next door to the center), and the director of the ECC had resigned.James Cocks

We've enjoyed aspects of the experience as well as convenient location. The pool facilities are smaller and dated compared to what we're accustomed to in other states, but it is terribly difficult to find beautiful, modern Olympic+ sized pools in Salt Lake. The JCC's are competitive with others locally, which all seem to be dated and/or understaffed. We initially joined here for the preschool but ultimately chose to leave that program under some duress due to staff upheaval. We wished the early childhood and other kids' programs had stringent behavior screening as part of the admissions process. Those programs IMO maintain impressive endurance and tolerance for children with rough behaviors; that did not prove a positive experience for my own mild-mannered children. More than a gym or a pool (which I think some people think it is) it’s a community. The preschool is amazing. The after school programs are wonderful. The swimming lessons are great. Pilates is the best and great value for money. The fitness classes are the most fun. Everyone is super friendly and genuine. This place saved me when I was in nursing school and again when I was in grad school. Gave me support for my kids and a place to go and not lose my mind. They have handled covid well and it feels safe. I can’t wait until we can use it like we used to as a family but for the time being it is what it is and I feel safe going there and my kids can still do swim team so I’m grateful.elizabeth hanna

This university is atrocious it blows my mind they can even afford advertising. I recently tried listing into an 8 month program with a fafsa of 0 which is the lowest I can go, I could have homeless parents and myself and still get a 0. I was speaking with an advisor, who wasted a lot of time talking in circles when I stated I was at work and to keep it brief, to respect both of our times. She was really nice and helpful but it felt like I was speaking to salesman. I applied to several schools, and doing my research. Going back to having a 0 on my fasfa, they gave me $4,000 and I owed $3,000. What? Who do you expect to pay for that when I clearly have no aid and no money. So this was a waste of everyone's time. Not to mention this university's retention rate is pretty bad and the graduation rates are at 31%. I had one school that accepted me who gave me $7,000 which payed for the entire course plus supplies. Employers will not take you seriously, if you have certifications from this school. I would not consider you if you are from a school that has poor retention rates and horrible graduation rates. If you go back to 2016 you can find information from showbiz cheatsheet that states, "The school's accreditation from the higher learning commission was placed on notice a while back." The cons severely outweigh the pros in this situation. If you have a fasfa do not go here, they will give you as little as physically possible. I would assume to pay for their advertising budget, I have seen them on a bunch of different websites. Although I cannot speak on behalf of people who don't have a fasfa, you will have a hard time having employers take you seriously on having certifications, unless the employer does no research.Austin Williams

These are the most dishonest crooks in the business of higher education. 3 true stories. My sister earned 99% of the Masters of Education degree, including student teaching. U of P staff told him she wouldn't graduate because 100% of the students she student taught didn't like her methods/personality. She sued and won. A friend of mine completed 99% of the Nursing degree, then was told he wouldn't be allowed to graduate because a few of his fingers didn't work due to an accident he'd been in a few years earlier. He sued them and won. My brother in law was taking classes in the Accounting major in at U of P in Denver. They told him he'd have to wait 2 years – that's 24 months – to take the next class required. He transferred to Regis University and never looked back. DO NOT GIVE THEM ONE CENT!!!!Nscribed Limited

Wonderful University. Advisers are informative and care about my experience. My instructors are not the typical academic types who only teach. Each instructor has a career in the field they are teaching. Their current experiences bring an extra element to the classroom and knowledge is applied to real-world issues and ideas. I wanted to quickly share that I had a great experience learning about the Pharmacy program. I am hoping to get into the program at Roseman so that I can stay living here in Utah so fingers crossed. I received my cna certification in 2017 and just re-certified. I did the accelerated 2 week program. They had the best instructors and I felt VERY prepared to take the state test. Just like anything, you get out of something, what you put into it…so study and pay attention especially if you are doing the accelerated program. I think they even went above and beyond with things that prepared me for real life working as a CNA but weren't required for the test.Emily kitchens
