20 Best Mba Programs In Dallas, TX (2022 Updated)

Somethings have not changed at all about this wonderful for school even after 18 years. Despite being reminded of how old I’ve gotten, I was first introduced to the school back in 2000 when I was being recruited to play soccer here and everything about the school and the people that work there were just amazing, genuine and friendly. Now I’m trying to do work with career and job fairs and the people that are working there are still extremely kind and helpful. I’ve spoken to several universities and colleges today and in this past week and I had one person that went out of their way to Dallas Baptist University just answer a bunch of questions for me and help me out and point me in the right direction. The difference is that she spent more time doing it and was patient and did not look at it as if it was a hassle or obligation and even helped find me some additional ways to get back onto the campus. I’ve had a lot of friends and family members graduate from that school including recent family members and I have a cousin that is about to attend that school and I could not be happier that they are going to a place with such a great faculty and staff along with a beautiful campus. I recommend if you have any questions about career fairs, job fairs, student services, or general questions at all you call and speak to Akita Cook. She was so patient and helpful and stayed on the line with me longer than all the other colleges I’ve spoken with combined. I hope that she is given recognition for this as this is a lost attribute at most schools now with everything being automated for students, employers, and others who find it difficult to even reach someone much less have the excellent service from this employee of this great university. Thank you Miss Cook for going out of your way and lastly, if she cannot help you, she will transfer you and find the person/department that can help you.Kevin Inman

I attended DBU from 2010-2014 and graduated with a B.B.A in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. The only regret I have is not choosing to do the fast track program where you can get your Bachelor's and Master's in 5 years. My time at DBU completely changed my life for the better. The professors there are amazing and genuinely care about their students. I still remain friends with some of my professors to this day. The atmosphere in general is really uplifting and so positive. I was in a sorority during my time at DBU and fostered many friendships, some of them lifelong. If I could go back and do it all over again I would. I also participated in the Discipleship Program (highly recommended) for two years and had the most amazing mentor who completely changed my life. DBU really is an amazing school filled with countless opportunities and countless ways to build community with other students. This school changed my life. The faculty cares so deeply about your success, not only educationally, but spiritually as well. I attended this schools OTA program and I can guarantee you will not get a better education anywhere else. The crew there prepare you so well for the field. As for the school, it's amazing. Hit by a tornado and it didnt affect the students learning experience. Covid hit and they already had a plan set to make sure no one got pushed back. The cons are small and understandable. Financial aid sometimes forgets to send you the email to renew so just keep up with it yourself. And some other enrollment/payment procedures are a bit lax to where you need to keep up with them. But they deal with the whole school so it's understandable that a few slip through. Definitely take a tour and see if this schools for you. They have a variety of professions you can go into. The schools been updated since the tornado and it looks immaculate, they really did a good job of fixing and upgrading the facility at the same time.Cjloha

I was kinda rushed into starting and didn't realize the online-only curriculum was going to involve soooooo much writing and citing and having to include references in 4 weeks. For each course there is so much emphasis put on research for writing essays and 1-6 page papers that there is less time to actually read all the text and retain/comprehend what you're studying. The essays aren't too bad, but then you have to come up with creative ways to respond to 2 or more of your peers explaining why you agree or disagree with what they each posted. What ever happened to reading the text and studying, listening to a lecture or two and then working on an assignment or a test? It my just be the 4 week time period, with new assignments and discussions due each week, that gets me frazzled. I may have to switch to hybrid or in person learning soon.Newest Times

The school does not give you enough information prior to getting into the program. They charge you stupid fees which do not sense and go as far as increasing already high school fees. How do you charge online students technology fees for using the school's blackboard to complete assignments on top of $660 per credit. They tell you at the last minute you have a balance to pay. Very poor communication on all levels. The director of my program is the only reason I am graduating from this school. I will never refer anyone here again. Not now not ever. This school is a waste. From when I was on the College of Business, advising wasn't too helpful and requirements for credit and registration were too superfluous once you were in it. After I changed my major, I'm constantly getting emails saying I need to complete my Pre Business requirement even when after I kindly messaged them that I was no longer in the CoB, they refused to remove me from the list because it didn't show in their system that I was I another college at UNT.Joseph Shortino

The moment I started at Amberton University it was already skeptical. I had a very hard time getting a hold of any advisor and no one seem to know how to answer my questions regarding finances. I went to the school for a few semesters and it was pretty easy and challenging. My last semester there was absolutely terrible. Professor Herring was has the worst communication skills and doesn’t know how to clearly give out instructions. I had to drop the course because she was unbelievably unprofessional. That’s where my issues had gotten worse. I spoke w it h the Vice President and president and they were not help. If you need anything fixed financially they will not help out in any way. My tuition was going to go to collection without even my knowledge of it. I received no notices and I was dealing with appeals at the same time. They were not recognized by the billing department. The woman I spoke with in the billing office spoke over me and had the worst customer service. Melinda, the president was not concerning for the student but more for the money going into her pocket. I don’t recommend attending this university at all. My previous professors were great but the minute you have a professor that doesn’t know what they are doing and you challenge them, they will get anything by they can to make sure you fail. I found Amberton while looking for a college to complete my second master's degree. I have an MS in Adult Education and wanted to get a more focused degree to advance my knowledge in the field I'm currently working in, which is faulty and staff professional development. I opted for AU because they are fully accredited, offer numerous online degrees, and are the most affordable of any college I found. The quality of education is excellent and I like that I can plan my classes well in advance. They post a master schedule that lists when each class will be offered during the year and often offer several sections of each class so you can choose the professor and text book you think is best for you. Admissions, registration, and student services couldn't be easier. They took many of the credits from my prior master's degree so I will be able to finish this one in 18 months (2 months left to go as of this writing). Payment plans make it easy to pay as you go without incurring debt. As a state technical college administrator, I often recommend AU to our faculty and staff. I would, without hesitation, recommend AU for anyone who wants a quality, accredited (regional accreditation is needed for credit transfer) higher education experience.Josh

This is an update with my continued guidance from a very special career coach that was assigned to me back in February, she has been there with me on an amazing journey of self discovery, self worth and more. Amazing! Simply amazing! Never have I ever worked as an oficial Project Manager, nor have I received any formal Project Management training prior to the PMTI bootcamp. I passed and scored above average in all three sections within two weeks of taking the course. The course is perfectly designed to help anyone with any ability level as long as they follow the study plan. You will be required to take practice tests and push yourself to keep doing so for about a week after the course is done. But if you follow the training plan, I guarantee you'll pass. For me it only took one week for the course, one week to study (while the application for the test went through), one week to test, and boom… I am a PM and got a new job not even two months later, doubling my income. 3 stars because I’m trying to be fair, I’d say that JSOM as a whole does want to help you on your journey and specific staff members will go above and beyond for you. However, that ends at specific staff members. I’ve been attending ut dallas for four years and have had countless bad experiences with Undergraduate and advisors and the people at the desk. I’ve been misinformed, sent in the wrong direction, disrespected, and hung up on on as many occasions as I had good experiences. There’s not a clear direction to contacting supervisors or expecting any accountability either. The only reason I gave it four stars is because tuition, I feel, is so unnecessarily high, and unless you spend a small fortune on just parking, you have to park wayyy in the back. I definitely recommend this school, I started in August of 2019 hopeful that I would get my foot into the medical field and that’s exactly what they’ve helped me accomplish thus far, besides that I had set my mind to come to this school do my work, learn and go home and leave it at that but the staff at this school is incredible. My experience at PCI Health Training Center, has been more than what I could’ve ever imagined. The campus is full of genuine people from the students, to the instructors, and especially the staff. My advisor Diana, has made a tremendous impact on my journey here. She is helpful, sincere, compassionate, and always willing to listen and guide her students to the best of her ability. She shows +1 service towards her students as well as her fellow colleagues. Seeing an optimistic, always smiling, genuine face is always so refreshing. The review statement is to share my experience at this organization and that is what I will try my best to do starting with the instructors. I completed my medical assisting program in March of 2021. When I started I had been working at a hospital for about four years so I knew a few things medical jargon and such. However some of my classmates knew next to nothing and most had just finished high school. The instructors took time to meet us at our current level and help us excel. They laid a foundation for us to learn in multiple ways and was very hands on through out the complete process. They really helped in any way they could and prepared us for our future positions. The University of Dallas is a private Catholic university that offers its students a top notch liberal arts education. The Catholic identity at UD is very strong. With about 80% of the student population being Catholic, it’s a great place for devout Catholics to spend four years learning and strengthening their faith. That’s not to say that it’s only good for Catholics. I find quite the opposite to be true. One of my best friends at UD is a protestant, and she has never felt unwelcome or stifled at UD as a result of the Catholic identify. UD students are eager to embrace people of all sorts and engage in intellectual conversations about different points of view. No matter what denomination a student is or what beliefs they hold, they benefit immensely from a UD education because in their classes they learn fundamental truths about the human condition. All students are required to complete a core curriculum of classes that study texts that are fundamental to Western civilization, including works by Homer, the Greek playwrights, Dante, and Milton. UD also has a campus in Italy, just outside of Rome where students can spend an entire semester. The Rome semester is a perfect complement to the core curriculum, and the students get to travel both as a class and individually. I went to Germany, Spain, Ireland, France, Hungary, Greece, and different parts of Italy in the span of a semester. So students leave UD as well-educated, worldly people. These are the kinds of people you will find at UD. The social scene is not the same as one you would find at a huge public university. It’s a different atmosphere because the school is small, but there are tons of opportunities to have fun. UD has some awesome traditions and there’s live music on campus almost weekly. It’s not the place for everyone. The university is quick to admit that. Students at UD are dedicated to learning and thinking critically, along with enjoying life along the way. If that doesn’t sound like something you want to do, then UD is probably not for you. For students that want that, UD is a great place to be.Amanda Kitten

To say that the University of Dallas was just another college experience severely understates the plethora of opportunities and unforgettable moments that shared during my four years of undergraduate study. UD is an excellent Catholic liberal arts school in the heart of the DFW area. Each student has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge while also possessing a propensity for building fellowship, both academic and social. The full time faculty are required to obtain the highest degree in their field (most often PhD), thus ensuring the rigorous academic standards of which UD is so often known. While studying, I was blessed with the opportunity to study abroad in both Rome and Costa Rica, both expanded my intellectual horizons as well as fostered my personal growth as a young man. My fellow classmates helped push me to be the best version, intellectually and spiritually. The community here is something that lasts long after your four years. Though University of Dallas's student body is 80% Catholic, I have never regretted going here as a non-Catholic student. Contrary to what some of the reviewers below have written, professors and students for the most part are open to other ideas and beliefs. The professors here are excellent for the most part, though often difficult. UD's Rome program is rightly ranked one of the best in the nation, combining challenging and relevant academics with lots of travel time and great class trips in Italy and Greece. Camping in Ireland and Wales over Ten Day (spring break) with some of my buddies was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had as were our trips to Greece, Pompeii, and Poland among others. Overall I would say UD is great place for anyone who wants a thorough and excellent education in the liberal arts and who wants to get to see the world in one of the most fun contexts possible.Alex Macdonald

I see a lot of reviews saying this school has a beautiful campus and amazing reputation, which it does. Also, the professors are amazing and the students are very bright. However, the administration and politics within this university is abysmal. Little to no information was given regarding registration for after being accepted into the university for graduate students. When I called and emailed the school, I was transferred numerous times to numerous departments because nobody knew how to answer my question or who could answer it. There seems to be little to no communication between departments. Parking doesn’t exist between 10am-3pm. With how much the cost of Parking, housing, and tuition has increased over the years, I expected improvements in the facilities and organization within this university. I have seen little to no change. Student life is also quite mundane. The university clearly does not strive to encourage an active and engaged student body. The university’s events such as weeks of welcome and guest speakers pale in comparison to every other university in Texas. This includes universities such as UT San Antonio and Texas State, which are significantly cheaper and smaller. Considering UTD’s notoriety for having the 4th most unhappy student body among universities in the country, I’m surprised the administration can turn a blind eye to student engagement. I feel like I’m just a dollar sign to this university after 4 years as an undergrad and 1 year as a masters student. I would not encourage anyone to come here.Ann Ma

Absolute terrible staff. Attended this school for 1 day. Went to the office and dropped the ONE class i had the FIRST day for financial reasons. I get a bill 6 months later for $800+. Apparently the one class was $4000+ and i was responsible for a percentage of it because according to their records i waited over 3 weeks to drop? This place is a scam and if you need anything done like this be sure to keep your paperwork and names of people you talk to. Great University in a great location. If you are thinking about applying here, go do it. Its a relatively young school, so the facilities are still very clean and at night, the campus almost looks like a block off of a futuristic city. There are lots of events happening on campus, and lots of networking opportunities. Just warning you, this is not a school where you can expect to get laid and party every night and pass. When I was looking at business schools, one of my criteria was the class-size. I wanted a smaller class size, an environment where I am surrounded by people who will support me. McCombs did exactly that. Students, faculty and staff are all ready to support you in every way possible. As an international student, my classmates have helped me adapt to this new culture, and provide me timely feedback, which allows me to improve myself. The experiential learning opportunities (MBA+ projects) have helped me explore career options even before the summer internship. They treat their MPA students really well, have all the best professors possible, and acceptance into the MPA program sets you on a basically guaranteed successful (and long) track into the future. For those considering grad school for accounting, it isn't the boring stereotype like in our parents' days, and it's not bookkeeping. This is a very good career, or it can be a stepping stone to any career you want. Best business school in the nation. McCombs is the reason why I am here at UT. It's the perfect business school if you're into a university with good academics, good athletics, and a nice night life. The job placement rate here is 99%, so you can guarantee yourself that once you are in, you are set. Average starting salary out of college is roughly $65,000 which is pretty good. The classes offered here can be challenging, but you will learn a lot. The professors do truly care about you and really get to know you on a first name basis. This Historic College in the Southern Dallas Oakcliff area is the place to attend if you want to experience a feeling of faculty & staff that cares about you achieving sucess! Its also a Work College, with a location in Plano, Texas as well. You can attend college classes while working with a partnership established with corporate companies. This college has helped so many students from various disadvantaged homes, located in rural & urban areas and states. The President of this college has worked diligently to keep a positive legacy moving forward into the future. He's a hands-on President that's really motivated to make sure the students achieve all they can while they are students at Paul Quinn. I attended this college myself with many of my siblings and because of the degree I obtained years ago, my life goals are achieved. The financial aid dept. Supervisor Mrs. Jackson was very professional initially. However, for some odd reason once she spoke to my relative she became very short and rude, almost borderline judgmental. It was as if she had better things to do than answer questions regarding financial aid. Based primarily on her customer service skills, I'm not surprised that the graduation rate is 3%. First impressions are everything and no one wants to be made to feel as though their questions or concerns are not valid. Please do better Paul Quinn for our students and community.Kameshia Daniels

I can only speak to the outdoor gardens. I volunteered to help build raised bed gardens and plant sweet potatoes. The staff here was very friendly and very knowledgeable. UNT Dallas is a hotspot of optimism, representing a major effort by the State of Texas, the City of Dallas and the larger community to grow the local economy and bring quality education to (primarily) local residents. Every university is a work-in-progress. UNTD is no exception. Being new, small and quickly-expanding, UNTD is not as predictable as older institutions. For example, students may need to be patient/persistent to resolve administrative details. The place is not the same today as it was 3 years ago, and it will be a lot different 3 years from now. It is really quite amazing to watch UNTD find its place in the world, building traditions and reputation along the way. President Bob Mong is an energetic leader with vision and passion. Prospective students, parents and other stakeholders should pay attention to what he is doing and saying in his role as president. I did my first two years at SFA and then did my last two years here when it was still apart of UNT Denton and you could do classes through both. I really like this school, because it was cheaper then most and I had great professors. If your fresh out of high school and looking for that party college life then this is not it. This school is smaller and much more intimate. I lived the party life at SFA, and I wasn't doing good at all with my grades. Once coming here I was more mature and I blossomed into A honor roll student. I was on the dean and presidents list. If your looking to go back to school and not paying a arm and a leg then this is definitely a good option. Yes it’s new and growing very fast, which means it’s fulfilling a need and it’s only going to get bigger. Yes it can be frustrating dealing with growing pains of a new university. That’s why you don’t see many new non for profit state universities. Don’t compare it to the larger more established universities, if you did then you would be the one in the wrong. That’s why it’s substantially cheaper than any state university I know of and it’s close to one of the strongest and wealthiest economies in the country. This place is a great opportunity for anyone wanting a degree in a small classroom environment for half the price of anything comparable. If you don’t like it go spend more time and money with larger class sizes at UTD or UNT Denton. UNTDALLAS is on the up and up.Chaunce Dickerson

Went to this stadium on a sold out day. Worst entry experience I have ever seen. The lines to get in were crazy long. We were late to get into the game because of it. Concessions are at least a 30 minute wait. You would think when they know it’s going to be sold out that they would prepare ahead of time. Absolutely no preparation took place to prepare for this many people and it shows. Bathrooms are disgusting. Seats are basically all bleachers. Hate so much when we have to play here. Upgrades are needed badly.Allie Weber

As someone who personally benefitted from this, I feel like I can say that few law schools are able to place their graduates at great firms the way that SMU does. Being in one of the strongest legal markets in the country in Dallas, SMU has deep roots with pretty much every big firm and plenty of the medium and smaller firms. Of course, that is to speak nothing of the top notch professors and administrators. I loved my time at SMU Law, and I will be forever grateful towards it for providing me the start to my career.Jordan Campbell

SMU Dedman is a very good regional law school at a private university. If you have the connections, an ample trust fund, an employer paying your tuition, or a full scholarship, it's almost a no-brainer to attend this law school with a top tier faculty. That being said, think twice about going heavily into debt by funding your education here with student loans instead of going to a less expensive public law school. It's not cheap, and those loans have to be paid back.Mike Young

My experience so far has been tremendous. Since Bakke was launched officially in Guyana, I enrolled as student in the MBA programme. I actually switched from another on-line university in which I was enrolled to pursue my MBA. However, in that university there was something missing. I was doing well in the class work, readings but I was unable to comfortably share my faith experiences. When I transferred to Bakke, it was where I needed to be. The faculty, support staff, are all amazing and supportive. In the first session, the orientation, I knew I was in the right place. I was experiencing some difficulty with my internet and connection and the BGU Staff based in Jamaica was so patient and helpful, I was never treated in this manner before and I did not even start a class as yet. Each faculty bring their unique presence to the classroom, each class as well contributes to my life first then to the wider community. The love, respect and comradeliness felt among faculty is also translated to students. I am currently enjoying my journey at Bakke, it does not even feel like I am in school. The online classes are great and are complemented by the face to face City Immersion courses which allows the student to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to study a city in details and present God's solution which may include a combination of a spiritual, social, and economic approach. I finished the Doctor of Transformational Leadership degree program in cultural transformation. I have been an educator for 18 years, and have completed a couple of different degrees using modular and innovative programs, including Liberty University. This program has surpassed the others in content and quality, and I will be proud to say I am a BGU graduate. The DTL program was a perfect fit for me. It was clearly an intersection of business, theology and leadership- a great toolbox for me as a clinical marriage and family therapist who is also a business manger with a heart for ministry.Richard Nongard
