20 Best Sonography Programs In Allentown, PA (2022 Updated)

Wanting to further my education as an adult and being excited about coming back after 25 years since my first attempt enrolled in College my expectations were to seek help in enrollment, having all typical questions answered that every student has about financial aid, classes that can accommodate my FT work schedule, meeting with my student advisor and such. It was a very upsetting and disappointing experience to say the least. I would never recommend this school to anyone and I warn you in advance when considering. My student advisor Teneshia Soriano was the worst! I tried to meet with her on many occasions and she was never in the office past 3pm. Life requires us (most of us) to work FT jobs before even attempting an education, but when a school cannot understand that evening classes are imperative to adults returning to school it’s a big red flag. I could not be helped by the financial aid office, the business office, student advisor, and worst of all John Ryder the Director of Student Affairs. Both of my daughters are currently attending classes, some on-line other's in person. Both girls have had an easy time with the entire process of finances, aid, enrolling, supplies, resources and support etc. Specifically because of the staff we've been working with in several different positions have truly been their for the students and parents. They have made the process easy in my opinion and we're more then helpful and mindful to a moody 18yr old. I do hope my girls continue on with RCSJ as it's close, affordable and the credentials of course!!Brian Reilly

The nursing program does not care about putting good working nurses into the health care industry. They only care about how well you can do on written exams, not actual performance in the field. This school has made it very clear that they are only out for money. I watched a loved one put everything they had into this course just to be given up on over a single point. I took the CNA ‘Plus’ programme there back in October 2021. For $2395 we never got a clinical! And the facilities and equipment provided were unbelievable! One mannequin with its leg falling out and not even a proper night gown to keep it from being exposed! Sheets were dirty! Equipment faulty, and now we are STILL waiting to take our state licensure exams! If you’re taking the CNA programme, do not take the “plus part” it is a waste of money and time. State Street U is amazing. I attended 22 years ago and stopped by for the first time since then and I was amazed to find, updated buildings, a beautiful store, and a whole new feel. The professors and professionals were mostly great when I was there and though I don't attend, I had a chance to talk to administrators and they are still amazing. It is a fantastic education at a great price. If you are looking for a great community college, look no further than STCC. Misericordia University is not only strikingly beautiful but offers an exceptional education for every student. The faculty and staff at Misericordia are very encouraging and motivate every student to meet their dreams academically and socially. I have attended Misericordia for 4 years and am working toward my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapy program is a 6.5 year guaranteed program, the first 3.5 years earning a bachelor’s degree and the next 3 years at the graduate level for physical therapy. This program has been accredited for a number of years and has a very high passing rate on the board exam. Throughout my 4 years at Misericordia, I have nothing but positive remarks. Misericordia has taught me how to be both successful and independent. I lived on campus for all 4 years at Misericordia, 2 years working as a Resident Assistant and two years with fellow students. Although it was fun to live with some of my friends, living by myself as an RA was definitely a huge perk. From being an RA, I was able to witness students who got involved in the Misericordia community and students who chose to mind to themselves. With that experience I can only give advice that getting involved and putting yourself out there is vital, not only at Misericordia but throughout life. You can’t just let life walk by you, you need to put on your shoes and run towards your dreams (and if something is for free, you really have nothing to lose). Misericordia offers a huge variety of ways to get involved from campus ministry, athletics, theater, and various clubs, there is most definitely something that peaks everyone’s interest. I have met so many amazing people and have made friendships that will last a lifetime from Misericordia. Through getting involved as an RA, and being involved in clubs such as business professional association, health care management association, and H.O.P.E (Healthy Options Peer Educators), I have been able to learn new information, make friends, and have fun. There is a wonderful program at Misericordia called the Guaranteed Placement Program (GPP) where every year of their education students learn viable and helpful tips such as how to properly handle a job interview or how to build your resume. At the end of the student’s time at Misericordia, the GPP program guarantees that you will graduate with a payed internship or job 6 months after graduation. Therefore, there is no fear that you will earn a degree and not have a job after loaning so much money. I am proud to be a student at Misericordia University. As a student from out of state (born and raised in Arizona), attending Misericordia University has been a very unique experience for me. The location has been comfortable, coming from a small town, so the location has not been overwhelmingly populated while still being close enough to other cities and shopping locations. MU also assisted in my decision to switch majors, and have been a Mass Communications student with a Philosophy minor since my sophomore year. Students with interests in the arts and and humanities, like myself, often feel as if they are not taken as seriously as other majors, such as health sciences. However, I feel that MU’s liberal arts approach embraces all student interests, including encouraging creativity while also helping students get to know the “real world” and how to approach the world from a realistic and economic perspective. Getting involved at MU has also been fairly easy and a welcome experience for me. The Mass Communications department is tight-knit but is welcoming of all students, and has job, classes, or club opportunities for students in and outside of the major. The arts are also embraced by the campus radio station (Cougar Radio), the Highlander newspaper, etc. I’ve participated in multiple groups and events on campus, and have found student employment on campus, along with researching, preparing for, and currently executing internships during my college career. I’m a firm believer that college is what you make it, and MU has helped me embrace all these passions that I’ve always had and has helped me move forward with the things that matter most to me.Destiny

Misericordia University has been my home away from home. I never second guess my choice of coming to school here. The occupational therapy program is one like no other. I take pride in my hard work and the teachers in my program and other faculty on staff are friendly, generous, and want to see every student succeed! Misericordia takes pride in its service and hospitality and these qualities can be found in each student here. As the mom of a college student who had to leave a private, out of state institution for medical reasons, I came into contact with BCCC when my son was ready to obtain further credits. The administration was so very helpful, from applying for appropriate courses, to registering and payment. My son has not yet graduated, but the experience at the local community college was excellent. BCCC also has programs in which high school students with special skills or talents can participate in college level work. Both the high school and BCCC were extremely helpful in this regard. High school credits were obtained with no tuition payment. Finally, I am a sunset photographer. The high hill on the campus overlooking the baseball field just off Swamp Road is a very nice vista for sunset shots!!Carol Geibe

First off the price is great. The campus is really nice. I liked the professor's a ton. There were some really good teachers. When I transferred out most of my credits went to Penn state without an issue. I see a few reviews on here talking about bad teachers. This is not a BCCC problem, it's a college problem. I had just as many bad teachers if not worse teachers at Penn State as I did at BCCC. Expect it, accept it, and work harder in those classes. It's only 16 weeks folks. If you are looking to see if college is for you or just starting back up with your education I think it's a great place to start.Mike Carson

The campus itself is clean and the security is friendly. As for the professors I had in my two year stint here, many of them were awesome people and very helpful as teachers. I feel I have learned a lot from having knowledgeable teachers such as Professor Beers in the math department and Professor Bresnen in the music department. All in all, for the most part the staff here seems to care about their students' success and I have had many more pleasurable teachers here than I expected.Dan

First of all, I have no connection to Cedar Crest College. I did not attend school nor do I know anyone that attended school there. On June 7 2018 I made a journey to the Lehigh Valley to photograph the campus of Cedar Crest College in Allentown Pennsylvania. I was inspired by a vintage early 50’s video of the school that I saw on YouTube. When I arrived I was not disappointed. The campus is so well manicured that it almost seemed like I was exploring a country club. Parking was easy and the campus was easy to find. My self-guided tour took me to all points on the campus from the aquatic center to the Da Vinci Science Center. I would like to come back to the science center when it is open. The centerpiece of the Cedar Crest College campus is Blaney Hall. The historic old building photographed well and it is surrounded by gardens in bloom. I saw the theater, cafeteria, and the art gallery. The art gallery is open limited hours and I was not able to go inside. The theater was also closed but the cafeteria was open for business and the prices were great. Cedar Crest College is 151 years young and it is truly a gem in the Lehigh Valley.Richard K

Honestly the worst school for nursing. So many people get kicked out of their school for pointless reasons. You have a better bet going to a different nursing school in the area. Cedar Crest nurses are always unconfident even when they are knowledgeable because of the environment they’re put in. If you ask working nurses in the area, they’ll tell you that they’ve only heard horror stories from Cedar Crest. People only look at their pass rate, but not their drop rate and how many people they let go for nothing. They have to take proficiency exams every semester and have to score 90% or higher on things they have not been taught yet. Go to a school that doesn’t have that! More than four professors have left within the last year and there’s a reason for that. Some quit in the middle of the year!! All the students will tell you that there’s always broken or used equipment and that the staff never values mental health of their students. Students are expected to be at a doctorate level and teach themselves. This school is extremely unorganized and there are other places that respect their nursing students and encourage teaching!Emily Snyder

I am afraid of my daughter committing suicide over this school!!!! She is so stressed and anxious because they only care about the money. When over half the class fails a test it’s not the student as much as it is the teacher!! Barely anyone gets through the nursing program without failing… a few times!! She is in so much debt but I cannot talk her into transferring because she would have to start the program over! They expect the best of the best out of the students but have the worst of the worst professors!!! They should be ashamed of themselves! They do not tech you. They expect the students to teach themselves and to know what they are doing. If the students ask questions they are made out to feel stupid. Are you a working individual looking to earn a degree? Don’t go to Harrisburg Community College. This college uses Technology that is not easy to learn and I am good with Computers. Want to speak with a Advisor, well my advisor lives in South Carolina so I can only conduct a meeting via Zoom, the college is taking ALL personal interactions away. And working individuals…well i hope your not trying to spend any time with family and friends because I leave my 40 hour week job and I do school work for 5-8 hours a night and on my weekends. Forget about spending anytime with my wife and three children….I am taking 3 classes. Don’t ask the teachers a question, they just refer you to the syllabus…well clearly I am asking you a question because I didn’t understand it. I am military, yesterday I had duty and i didn’t get my project submitted, I logged in tonight to submit the project and the instructor removed the instructions, and locked the drop box so I couldn’t submit the assignment. I could keep going but I don’t have time…if your a working individual, don’t fall for the things they tell you.William Bricker

If I could give this institution a lower than one star rating, I would. For a community college, the course costs, books, and fees seem to be immense. I had professors who took half or more of the class periods to talk about themselves, personal topics and politics. I’ve also had professors assign English paper topics about personal things and I imagine he laughed at the student’s papers later in his free time. The required intro to college class professor had us playing with popsicle sticks and jars of rocks and sand. The certifying official for the VA office submitted my paperwork incorrectly. I dropped my classes and incurred debt because of how poorly the education at HACC is. They seem to be all about the money and not the education or students. I can’t even request a transcript for my new school because of “debts” to HACC. I no longer live in Pennsylvania and I am now attending a MUCH better school, and I am very glad. I would never recommend this school to anyone. This is not a good school, don’t waste your money and time.SMK3181

Most professors are nice but my overall experience was bad. I went here to try to accomplish a 2 year degree but every time course selection came around they didn’t have the classes I needed so I got stuck taking hardly any credits each semester. The majority of advanced classes are online only. They offer almost zero advanced courses in a classroom. So happy I made the decision to transfer. Not to mention how every time I scheduled a meeting with an advisor it either got cancelled without notice or they changed me to a new advisor who could not give me a single piece of useful advice.Kate

i have an associates degree from a previous college plus attending the university of Scranton for a year and appearing on their deans list. Going to Lackawanna was def a step back for me. I was accepted into the surgical tech program and thought it was my lucky break. First before I go into the details of the program I’d like to say that the professors I had besides the surgical tech (while nice) mostly read off of powerpoints , which we students can do ourselves…. the tests were up in the air as to study what. They expected you to read a whole chapter (science) and retain every critical detail. The surgical tech program was a nightmare. Not because it was hard, but because the teacher, Purnell created a very hostile environment. She would teach the skills once and expected you to get every step correctly the first time. She loved berating students and while the course is very serious because one deals with infection prevention she seemed to forget that just because she knows the skill that we were still learning, all the while being out of touch with updated surgical technology like instruments and procedures and new sterilization techniques.She definitely had her favorites and if you weren’t one you’re going to know you’re not. Snatching and cursing is one of the many ways she’ll teach you. I had heard from previous students she had worked in McCann school and was known to throw objects around whenever she was frustrated with students. While I was going through personal problems n didn’t do as well as I’d like , I decided to quit the program because honestly, you can’t learn from someone who doesn’t want to teach. If you can find the surgical tech program in another school… go there insteadRamses Bracero

DO NOT GO HERE FOR CYBER SECURITY, or any online classes for that matter. TL:DR You dont get support or help with anything important. If you want this level of education buy a CCNA study guide on Udemy. The online classes will not help you in any way. It is up to you to find the external resources to help. There is no "hay I need help with this", you are completely on your own. I am stuck at this school because I cant afford anything else and yet this is still a complete scam. I have gone through just about 2 semesters and this school can't provide as much as a zoom call. They have nothing technology related for any elective. So a majority of your classes aren't related to cybersecurity in any way. I have had to take a criminal justice class, and a macroeconomics class. Wasting both my time and money. This state has much better schools, however they are a lot of money. Do your best to get a scholarship and get out to them for cybersecurity. Don't get stuck here at this college. If you want to receive a degree anytime soon DON'T GO HERE. My friend has been working for his associates degree and had 4 finale classes to finish. He passed 3 of them with all A's and on his 4 class receive a D because of a computer mix up and receive 5/50 on two assignments even though they were turned in on time but the assignments were flipped. Not only did the teacher give him that grade when he realized the mistake and emailed her about it but she also waited till the very last minute to grade everything in the class for everyone. This was the last class he needed and now has to wait a whole year to have a chance to receive his associates degree. This is crazy and I want the school and the public to know how infuriated I am about this. There is no reason anyone should be treated like this. I graduated from Widener in May, 2015. I was a transfer student to Widener so I was only there for two years, but for the two years I was there, it was great! I was in the B.S. Biology program so I can only speak for the sciences at Widener and I have to say Widener has a great biology program. All my teachers were easily accessible, willing to help me out, and always wanted me to succeed. There are plenty of research opportunities for anyone looking and there are a ton of clubs to get involved in. Widener also has a pre-health adviser (who is the nicest and most dedicated person ever) and pre-health committee who do their utmost to help those who want to pursue professional careers in healthcare; this makes Widener an excellent school for anyone wanting to go into healthcare. I enjoyed all my classes at Widener and felt like I learned a lot there. Widener is very expensive (but it is a private school, what do you except) however they offer a lot of scholarships and grants which reduced my tuition considerably, the cost of attending Widener for me was actually cheaper than West Chester University. Another big plus for Widener is class registration. I know it can be difficult to register for classes at other schools but at Widener they make it very easy for you and most if not all the teachers are willing to sign you into a class in order to help you which is a huge bonus. My only two complaints about Widener is….one: the registrar and bursar office a.k.a Lipka Hall is the most atrocious place on the campus. Mostly everyone there is rude, mean, and not willing to help you at all. Two: the selection of science classes at widener is limited…I wish they offered a greater variety of science classes like pathophysiology, marine biology, or histology…they really only offer core biology classes so if you are looking to take some "exotic" science classes, you will most likely not find them here and if they are offered, they are offered once every other year which sucks. However the classes they do offer, they teach with excellence and you learn a great deal and although the variety of classes is not huge, you will still get a nice mix to pick from. Overall, Widener is a great school with a great faculty who want you to succeed. Widener will give you a sturdy foundation to which to build your career in the sciences. I think Widener is a diamond in the rough. I have toured and visited a lot of schools, and my experience has been great. If you are looking for a big ( Michigan) or really intense ( UCLA) school, then Widener probably is not where you want to be. If you are looking for a good college experience, or you have a degree already from one of those big high pressure schools.. then Widener might offer you a refreshing pace. The professors really know their students. They work with you, talk with you, and the school is very keen on helping those with Learning differences, which to me is huge given that there are so many who have this issue. I did not want a high pressure situation. I did my undergrad at USC and my graduate work, round one at UCLA… Widener was a refreshing change, and in 7 weeks I finish. I thought it was a 1000 percent better than another school that is trying to be an Ivy League ranked school in Philadelphia…. to me, the private NON Ivy League school in Philadelphia was more of a joke. They were more expensive than Widener, you could not even talk intelligently to anyone, and when I ftried to talk about how their tech dept failed students, I was reminded they are a top tier research school which means very little to a student most of the time, and that school was much more expensive than Widener.. I think you really need to examine what you want in a school and then find schools that fit that bill. Widener is a small sweet and friendly school… it is where people care about each other. Widener is not going to be for everyone, but I think in the years to come it might be one of the better schools to embrace. I also want to talk about tuition. Look, it is a private school, and so it is going to cost more than a state school.. However, if you put it next to UCLA a state school that charges $65K to out of state students, or USC that is a little more… or Georgetown, Drexel, Duke, or other private schools, you are not paying as much, and no one should look at the retail price of a college or university because 85% of all students get some kind of financial aid today… I am very happy with Widener! The key for any student is to figure out what it is in a college or university that they want. Widener has some pretty impressive alumni… so it can not be all bad!T. C.A.C.

The bad: 1. DANGEROUS CITY. Chester ,Pennsylvania has a very high crime rate. Nowhere is safe in this city. A student was shot inside Widener's parking lot a couple of years ago. Both the city and neighborhood are terrible. Walking too far off campus can put you in great danger. 2. Nothing to do for fun in Chester. The city is rundown and the downtown area is filled with many vacant buildings and trash. ALL Philadelphia universities are superior to Widener because of their locations. 3. Widener Law school is the worst in the area. Their graduates fall far behind Temple, Villanova, Drexel, and UPenn law schools. Widener Law is low quality. I attended Widener Law briefly in the 80's before transferring to a better law school. 4. Widener University's reputation is bad in the Philadelphia area. The quality of Widener, both undergrad and grad programs, are below average. Widener gets a bad Rep and is out shined by Upenn, Temple, Villanova, Drexel, La Salle, and St.joseph's graduates and alumni. Even West Chester University is superior to Widener. My child was interested in Widener for undergrad, but turned away due to their low quality and reputation. 5. Widener is not challenging. That's why too many people graduated with high GPAs. The school is easy to succeed. They don't prepare their students properly. 6. Widener is too expensive for a college located in a city like Chester. The Good: 1. Widener University isn't that far from Philadelphia, where there are places to shop, work, intern, and enjoy your college experience. Where to start….. re-enrolling for business admin after a degree in admin. Pretty sure any of children in the children's center would have been better advisors than the first one I had as she passed me off to admissions, had no idea what she was talking about, and downright REFUSED to help me enroll in classes saying she "doesn't do that, you have to do that online but I can show you how on this computer." The next day the second gentleman was a little more helpful but again, got nowhere. Advising hold, needed a specific advisor for my program [he was the one to tell me that] but he at least got me a name. Meanwhile another advisor is emailing to set up an appointment [not the one I needed]. I contacted the one I needed, I'm not even eligible for that program due to a pre-req not being met [hours of time being wasted to find this out fyi]. Get in touch with the one that has been reaching out, my advising hold was magically lifted, no one claims to have done it, register for classes other guy cancels his appt, make payment #q all good now….. fast forward 2 weeks it's time to make payment #2. I go to the Bursar's office only to be turned away because the Bursar's office does not accept payments 😳😳. I'm starting to remember why I took an extremely long break and a long time to get my degree . I'm even contemplating paying the out of county fee to transfer up to LCCC…..Katie Fitzpatrick

Beginning of Fall Semester 2021, I was a P.T.K. honors, full scholarship recipient student here working on my second degree until I was profiled by one of the female EMT instructors who though it would be a great idea to complain to an armed police officer that I was in the hallway outside the classroom my oldest son (also a student at NCC) was attending. The officer (extremely nice and professional) instructed me not to wait for my son in the hallway anymore since one of "the female EMT instructor's" complained about me for waiting in the hallway, doing nothing wrong, but waiting for my son. The situation was quickly neutralized after showing the officer my credentials revealing to him that I myself am a EMS Chief as well as a NCC Student. The Fowler building has constant video surveillance on every floor if NCC staff wishes to investigate. This took place on the 3rd floor of the Fowler Center Building. I have since transferred as a result. I will no longer be attending or sending any of my children to NCC. Posting this now because of possible retaliation towards my son and I being NCC students at the time.John Rivera

On Friday May 31 2019 I did a self-guided tour of Northampton Community College. This was my first visit to this spacious campus. The campus is located about ten miles from downtown Bethlehem in a suburban almost country-like setting. The campus looked very modern to me. I walked through the sports building and there was a fitness center which was closed that day. Not sure if the school has a pool. There is also a north campus across the street. Student housing and Alumni Hall are located here. There are many parking lots and the school has its own campus police force. I cannot comment on the school itself since I did not go here nor do I know anyone that did.Richard K

I started the IT program last fall with an open mind. I'm almost done with my 1st year. I can honestly say that this has been the best experience I've ever had. The teachers care more about their students grades than the students themselves. They want nothing more than for you to succeed. The expectations were not unreasonable and the assignments really tested what I thought I knew about technology. I can't wait to see what the next year brings and I highly recommend everyone to take that next step and find a career that makes them happy. Experience at PSU main nearby but, have spoken with the school in 2016 – 2017 for a recent high school grad. That would be our daughter whom also personally spoke with the recruiter for this area at her high school and still receives other schooling and trainings though. She chose a more local college and didn't like it then in fall of 2017. She's been working pretty steadily in similar fields. Her exact interest was Senographer, I do believe. Im really glad I found this school to pursue my ultrasound career. The teachers and staff were amazing, our ultrasound teachers were there for us 100% of the time. Mary Beth stayed after class and tutored me almost everyday for a few hours. The faculty at this school truly care about their students and the education they are receiving, they go above and beyond to help us achieve our goals. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to go to school for ultrasound. They have a variety of machines to learn on as well as phantoms. It’s very challenging but very rewarding, you get what you put into it!victoria arnold

I come for a massage every 2 to 3 wks and every student/massage therapist that I have had has been very professional, pleasant, knowledgeable and respectful but most importantly each person truly wants to be good at what they do! Great Lakes offers a wide variety of programs to get you started in the medical field. I toured the facility with the intent on becoming a nurse, but after seeing everything Great Lakes offered I am now working towards my associates in surgical technology. I would also point out that the entire staff puts a lot of effort into everything they do because they truly want everybody to succeed in anything they do.joshua weunski

I do NOT recommend this school! Honestly I was excited to go here and looking forward with completing this course. I went here for the EMT Basic Program. Let us start from the beginning. On the website they have a price of how much you would pay, but when you get there they tell you something completely different. Then they say the offer financial aid for EMT or payment plans, but when I asked to do it they said they don't do financial aid yet it says it online. So I offered to do a payment plan and they said that I couldn't, so I said okay then I won't attend. All of a sudden it's ok we can do a payment plan, that should've been my cue to not attend. Next the clinical person David, is really unpleasant. He talks to you as if you are beneath him, he is just rude. The course is rushed, if you did not go to school before or have a degree like myself, I don't recommend. The pace is too fast and they teaching is all over the place. Third they have this computer course online which is basically the computer reading what's in the textbook out loud. Unfortunately, that is why I failed because I missed two readings that had little quizzes in them. Which made no sense to me because I like to read the book myself than off the computer. Also, because of that they gave make up courses and two exams to take and said if I passed it, they would allow me to pass the class. I PASSES THEM AND THEY STILL SAID THEY COULD HELP. I should have read ALL of the reviews on this "school." I was really super excited about coming here but they are all about the $$ and don't care about your education. The clinical clearance coordinator, David Izso, is NOT friendly at all. He called me multiple times about a vaccination that I had to wait to get due to doctor appts being booked out and was talking to me if I was a child. Very unprofessional. They terminated me on a Friday, 4 days before the next semester, and a holiday weekend for failing ONE class after allowing me to take a makeup final for another class knowing I was already going to be terminated. They booted me off my portal, I had no access to ANY grades, my agreement signed through the school email, or even access to the other portal where I was messaging my professor. I have friends in nursing SCHOOLS in NYC that are allowed to pay and makeup a class failed after the first time. This school, no. They want me to apply again to just take more money from me. They hounded me everyday to pay my balance but when you want to speak to someone in regards to grades they just send you to voicemail and terminate you. I do not recommend CAHE. Save your $$ and do your research just like most of these reviews say.Brianna Tetefsk

I graduated from the paramedic program yesterday and I wanted to just share some information with anyone reading this. I joined the Full-Time Paramedic program and have had a wonderful experience. The program is rigorous but I found the course load to be very doable. The program leadership (David Skolnick and Joel Abraham) really works with each individual student to ensure they are able to succeed and become competent prehospital providers. They had many opportunities to do clinical rotations at various agencies throughout NYC and upstate NY. About 1 quarter into my program, they updated a lot of their equipment as well. Overall, I am very happy to have been trained by CAHE and highly recommend it to anyone looking to join become an EMT or Paramedic.Shulem Rosenbaum

I regret enrolled in this school not a good school. Most of the 5 star review are lies this school is just a complete waste of time and money.they make you pay 16k for medical assistant they could have give this in less than 9 months or 13 months if they will, but instead they Will waist a lot of time every day doing almost nothing so they can make the program longer and take more money.I regret I didn't enrolled at the americation Newark where I could have paying less and finish sooner now I am just stuck now .dont make the same mistake I make do not waste your 16k and your time here .fritz pierre

I attended HTI for the Medical Assistant program , the staff was always willing to help me with any questions I had. Only my third month here studying the Medical Assistant program and I can genuinely say I love this school. What makes this specific Lincoln Tech amazing is the staff, never a gloomy day. I've had three different instructors and they are great, super personable and humorous, it really completes the learning experience. Coming from a 2 year gap of not being in school, I was afraid of how I would transition but they made it very smooth and fun. My time at Lincoln Technical Institute has been great. The teachers form close relationships with the students and personally help every student strive to be better. I was first contacted by Teresa who is a advisor at American Institute. We spoke on the phone via FaceTime which I thought was amazing. I went over my concerns about being able to go to school and working and we she walked me though. She did not try to pressure me to sign up for something I wasn’t ready, she had me to come to an orientation and honestly it has changed my life. Her kindness and the way she cares for everyone in the school is amazing. She definitely sets the tone when you walk into the school she makes it fun and understanding. I had a personal issue I needed to sort and I went and spoke with her and the way she connected with emotionally I could do nothing but cry ( from happiness) words can not express how great full I am to know her and for taking a chance in me and believing in me. I started almost a year ago in dental assistant program and sometimes they don’t have the materials to work with(gloves, masks, bibs ,covers for the chair etc). The students need to “pretend” everything cause there’s no materials. The rooms and bathrooms are not clean. Then the lab of dental assistants some chairs does not work going down or up and the lights either. They don’t have enough teachers to teach. Cause I’m one module I had 3 teachers already. And then I was in a new module for like a month and then a got a called from a teacher saying that I did not pass my prior class and now they want me to repeat the class for something that was they’re fault cause they tell students you passed and then when you are already in a new class the called saying “you did not passed”. I am almost done here at American Institute and I can definitely say the Somerset campus is taking good care of me. I attend the Massage Therapy program and the instructor Steph is by far the BEST! She helps me with assignments that's outside the courses she teaches me. The office staff is awesome as well they are always on point when I have questions. Iasia the Director of Admission became my Mentor, my motivation, and a big sister. I can go into her office and speak about ANYTHING and come out feeling like a better version of myself. I am 42 years old and currently enrolled in the Endoscopy Technician Program and I had no idea I would end up loving it as much as I do. I have two instructors Patrick and Mayuri they are amazinggggg. Patrick and Mayuri work so well together as a team and are both very knowledgeable in this field. I love having two instructors because my classmates and I get so much attention and they both make themselves available if we need them after school hours. The program is accelerated so it is a lot of info fast but as a working mother of two I am able to handle it and I drive an hour away to get to campus. I feel that I got my money’s worth from the school and I have learned so much and I enjoy being in the lab and memorizing the surgical instruments. Both instructors have worked in the field and I love how they offer personal stories of working in the field to give us an idea of what we will be dealing with. I read another review that was complaining about “sitting around and doing nothing on our phones” personally I feel that person wasn’t smart enough to utilize that time to study, memorize instruments or complete homework. I have not taken my national exam yet however I feel that AIMS Education has prepared me thus far. I cannot say I have any complaints so far everyone in financial aid is helpful and job placement for clinicals has been wonderful so far and I will do a follow up review after my clinicals and discuss how quickly I found a job and how my internship went.crazyapplepants546

As NDT alumni, I highly recommend AIMS because the program structure at AIMS is to the point and prepares us well for the real world. The entire staff is cordial, and they help students through the complete process, right from admission to enrollment to the internship. Everyone at AIMS is striving for students’ success. The instructors reach out to every student personally to monitor students’ personal growth and work on their areas of improvement. The instructors are focused on ensuring that the students get the best understanding of the subject. The lab facility is also very well equipped and gives students exposure to real-world settings. My experience with the institute has been extremely positive. It prepared me to clear my ABRET registration exam on the first attempt, and the knowledge gained during the program equipped me to find a job immediately after my internship. I have recently graduated from the Diagnostic medical sonographer program at AIMS and had a very positive experience. The program offers more than what others schools do. At my clinical site, students from others schools were lacking the knowledge and skill for certain type of exam that needed to be done since their school did not offer it. I had great experience from the start. All the teachers, staff and administrators were helpful from the start. Even when struggling with something they say down and asked what’s going on and how can I improve? I am currently employed and it is due to the resources that student services provided and helped me throughout the employment process. The class size was perfect for me since I keep to myself. The pace was fast but you get used to it. Pandemic did not make it easy on everyone but somehow we got thought the material and clinicals with everyone’s effort. AIMS Education is the best career school in the area. I first signed up with middlesex college, but the class was 6 and half hours long and was boring and tiring for me so I had to drop out of the class. I then found out about Aims Education through google search and made an inquiry. I got all the necessary information to sign up for the program. The Phlebotomy class I took was one month long, from 5:30pm – 9:30pm, better than the six hours I had to endure at middlesex college. We had lectures in class and online. Our teacher Miss Jennifer Gilliard was such as an amazing teacher. I truly enjoyed her class. I also passed my NHA CPT EXAM on the first try, all thanks to this wonderful teacher who was intelligent, energetic and made class fun. The only downside to the school is I was told I would have to wait for a whole month before I get my certificate which I wasn't happy about, but besides that, Aims is an amazing school with amazing teachers. I highly recommend this school to anyone. Tuition is also affordable compared to other schools offering the same program. The school also helps you with resume and finding jobs.Audrey A

I completed the Phlebotomy/EKG and Cardiac Monitor Technician courses at AIMS about a month ago. I am very grateful for Madhu for guiding me through the enrollment process and answering any questions I had. Madhu was very quick to respond to e-mails and was very patient with any questions I had. Initially, I was not sure about enrolling, but after consulting with Madhu I was more confident and excited about starting the courses. My professor was Dr. Chalabi and he was one of the best professors I had who truly cared about his students' success. He helped me learn any material that I was confused about. I was thankful to have him as my professor. It was a amazing journey at AIMS. I always recommend everyone to take these courses through AIMS. I took the Medical Billing and Coding course at Aims and I could not have chosen a better field or a better school. Tony made my choice to come to Aims easy and very smooth transition. Meenu was by far the most knowledgeable teacher I could have ever had. There was never a question I had that she could not answer. I was placed in an internship that my background in mental health meant a great chance at a job. My first week into my internship I was given a job there and am now the practice manager. We also have two other Aims students who work in my billing department as well. I owe my new career and my flourishing future to Meenu. She prepared me for my exam which I had no problem passing thanks to her. Im a current student here at Lincoln Tech at the South Plainfield campus and from what Ive seen I can honestly say that the instructors here really take pride in the success of each of their students. They have no problem taking the time to help the students, even individually at times. Although I havent been enrolled for very long, I can tell here at Lincoln they pave the way for your success.
