They do everything to take care of students! They are by far the best dental assisting school out there. All the staff is completely dedicated to the growth and success of each student. They change lives. I've been to their graduations and I've never seen such a happier group of graduates and teachers. On top for that this isn't just a dentists practice side hobby , it's a school fully committed to you. They don't offer discounts because their value is above and beyond. Nikki is incredible! Gaby and Nikki is what holds the entire school together. Without these two individuals UVDA would not be what it is today. They treat everyone with care and respect. They stay late hours to help people. And the staff is truly knowledgeable and exceptional. I have witnessed it all and I could not recommend a better dental assisting school. I even heard that students travel out of state to come here. Because why wouldn't you. 5+ stars A+ gradeStephen Barsh
Utah Valley Dental Assisting School was an excellent program. I would definitely recommend anyone to come to this school. It is for everyone and anyone can learn. I knew absolutely nothing when I started and was quiet nervous but by the end I feel prepared enough to now work in a dental office. All of the instructors are great (I had Anna who was AWESOME) if we had any questions or were unsure about anything she always took the time to explain. She was very thorough with her explanations and if we needed any extra practice she sure gave it to us. I know it can be a tough decisions to decide on what school to go to and if it is worth your money but from my personal experience I would honestly recommend this program.SUMMER HAMDAN
I’ve loved my experience at UVDA!! Anna is such a great instructor and her previous experience as a dental assistant has given me some really good insight into the dental industry. The program has been accommodating with covid and life! and truly I feel like wants you to succeed!! It’s been such a great experience and everyone is so willing to help you if you struggle understanding concepts or anything at all honestly! Anna is not only a great instructor but super funny!!! loved my experience.Amber Romm

They were always very nice, professional, and I did like the work they did, but with all of the mistakes they have made from scheduling issues, to billing mistakes, to not having their office properly stocked, I just can't trust them anymore. I showed up for all of my appointments on time and 3 times in a row I missed their call to reschedule while I was driving to their office. Only when I parked and got ready to go inside did I noticed that I had missed their calls. I had a temporary tooth in for a month as a result. I took time off work for each appointment. Explaining this happened 3 times in a row was an awkward conversation to have with my employer. I doubt they believed me. I figured this was just bad luck, but then they recently messed up on billing. They forgot to record the payment I made in office as part of a 3 payment agreement. The other two payments were scheduled to come out automatically. They sent me a bill later on for an extra payment. Luckily I looked into it further and found the charges on my bank statement, otherwise I would have been on the hook for an extra $170 dollars! One mistake is acceptable and I understand human error happens, but when mistakes happen this often, I am able to recognize that it will likely continue to happen. I will not be returning.Dylan Rominger
Went in for another cleaning. Lady on the phone looks at me when I enter and doesn’t greet me. I could understand if there were other people around, but no one else was waiting. After standing there awkwardly for a while, she says,“ Hi, do you still have the same insurance?” How about, “Hi, how are you doing? I had switched insurance companies and was going to update it at the visit. Another time it was as if they didn’t want me to leave the room. The staff member said, “Let me make sure that they’re ready for you at the front desk.” How about you let me out of the room so I can sit down and wait until they’re ready. They then proceed to get me to make a payment, despite the service needing to be completed at another visit. I told them I would pay when the work was finished. The staff member then said, “Would you be able to pay half today?” It’s not about whether or not I could pay half. That wasn’t a problem at all. It’s the fact they’re always in such a rush to get info and collect payment. Staff members need to learn to treat patients like they’re people and not just a number. They just lost my wife and I as patients. Hopefully one day they’ll have staff who treat people better. The Knights
These guys are absolutely AMAZING! If I could give more than five stars I would. The staff is so incredibly friendly and welcoming. They offered to give me a bottle of water (cold OR room temperature) while I was waiting which was a super simple yet welcoming gesture—to be clear I was only waiting for about 5-10 minutes after I filled out the paperwork. The dentist and his assistant were constantly making sure that I was feeling okay and that nothing was hurting too much constantly letting me know that I was doing great. They made it clear that if something did hurt too much to let them know so they could do something about it. I had gone in to their office yesterday for the first time to get my wisdom teeth removed, and I have no doubt in my mind that they will be my go to dentist from now on. They also gave me a cookie and a bath bomb that had a tag “You are the BOMB! We love our patients!” on it. Again, super simple yet welcoming gesture. Amazing office with an amazing staff. They go so far out of their way to make sure their patients are comfortable and that their needs are met. I’m so grateful for them and all that they did for me 🙂Sara Frome

I have loved going to school here! I would recommend it to anyone who wants a small class size, real help, hands on clinical days, and a quick and successful way of finding a new career. All of the teachers were amazing, especially the ones at the Lindon office. They went the extra mile to give my class members and me the help we needed. I was able to find a job at week 10, which was really quite a blessing. I feel like I am ready to do everything at my new job because I have been practicing it in class each week. You won't regret your decision to sign up. It really is a great place to be. 😊Ellie Hansen
This school started out as a great fun environment and then it turned to the complete opposite! I missed 3 classes and got treated awful after. I stayed caught up on class work and ended with a good grade but only after another girl started missing classes did I catch a break. I was very excited for this school only to be let down by the clinical teacher. Would not recommend this school.Sarah Hutchings
PDA is AMAZING!! Seriously can not say enough great things about the whole experience. The teachers are helpful and so willing to give you extra help if needed. They gave me lots of resources to find a job while in school and I now work at an awesome place! ♾/10 recommendAlejandra Cardenas-Spencer

Easily the best experience I've ever had- from start to finish. The receptionist was very pleasant on the phone. She was able to give me clear directions about payments, location and services. Kortney, the dental assistant, was very friendly. She was very informative, upbeat and explained everything so nicely. Just an overall friendly and positive person. I feel so anxious when going to a dentist and she made me feel really comfortable. Dr. Nielsen was very prompt, professional and thorough. I liked how he chatted with the girls are they were working on my teeth. Shows that he is trying to get to know his employees. They also made me feel like I was the only patient they were going to see that day, so they were making the best out of it. They are easy to work with as far as financing goes. Their prices were very reasonable. I had to get a root canal and I've had one before so I knew that they were going to be super pricey. I used my student discount and was very happy with the way that we were able to discuss my payment plan. I've always used dental insurance and this time I didn't have any so I was a little nervous but was surprised and pleased with the price. I was originally scheduled for an exam and x-rays but ended up going with the treatment at the time. They had no problem fitting me in and the whole appointment took about 2 hours and it felt like 30 min. Last time I got a root canal from a different doctor it took 3 hours and I felt like I was waiting around the whole time with people running around doing God knows what. Overall, just a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be coming back and will be a long-term customer. -Mila FjodorovaMila Fjodorova
I first went to Provo dental because I was having some pain in the back of my mouth. I called, and the ladies at the front desk were very professional and helpful. They scheduled me in asap and i was able to get everything looked at and they found that my wisdom teeth are coming in. I am a poor college student who doesn't have a ton of money to spend on wisdom teeth! but they did everything they could to get my price lowered and help me with my costs. Provo and Spanish Fork Dental is a great Dental office that I would recomend to everyone! The dentist the assistants and the receptionists were all very professional and helpful. They made me feel like home and you can just tell by the enviornment that they care about every single customer! I am from Park City and I am just in Provo for college but they have earned a life long customer! I wouldn't want to go anywhere elseJessie Sorensen
I had a really good experience at Provo Dental Care and would recommend them to anyone. I plan on returning there for all my dental care needs while living in Provo. They are the best choice in Provo for BYU students without Dental Insurance because they offer deep discounts on their services for those students. The office is large and comfortable, filled with state-of-the-art equipment. The staff and incredibly accommodating and go the extra mile to meet your needs. For example, a week after my dental work I was noticing slight pain in one part of my mouth. I dropped by their office to see about setting up a follow-up visit so I could have it checked out. Rather than making me set up a visit they saw me right away and resolved the issue.James Deibert

A few weeks ago I finished the program at American Academy of Dental Assisting and I loved it! In 12 weeks I was given the hands on trading needed to not just feel comfortable working in a dental office, but to know what kind of office I wanted to work in. This program really helped me to understand "WHY" we do what we do in dentistry, not just "how". The program included internships in various dental offices that led directly to job offers. I had a great experience in the program and I would recommend this school to anyone that would like to become a dental assistant.emma ekstrom
I am SO glad that I found this academy! If you want to go to an amazing hands on tech school and come out with a perfect job, this is for you! Kyle and Sarah have been amazing and have gone above and beyond to make my experience here wonderful. They have spent so much time and effort to make sure I came out of the program the best dental assistant I can be. I truly feel that they had my best interest at heart and proved that over and over again. I feel ready and excited to go to work! Thanks so much for this amazing opportunity. I now have a job where I feel at home!Crystal Clinger
I attended this school and loved it! The instructors were fun and knowledgeable. I was trained so well that I got a job halfway through the course! Tons of hands on training, on real patients, in multiple dental offices, side by side with a dentist. Couldn't be happier with the American Academy of Dental Assisting!Jaclyn Perkins
