i came in for one reason to get job after graduation been going on two yrs feels like high school classes. Im a criminal Justice major and i like program except one huge thing it needs more hands traning so you prepared for the job once you graduate and not have move on for four degree and they need to have dorminties to live on i hardly see people on campus it almost empety they have two many campuses they need to have one and the paint falling off the school. I hoping i graduate and get job in but i feel unprepared to due the classes they made to if i knew this i would have gone out of state because these tech schools are scam been at midlands tech for my associates in arts degree if i was going for a different major i would be more thrild they have good health science program that gets job as soon as graduate due to the clinicals and broad certification test. some classes have been cancled to there harldy many students in eithermichael mcdaniel

The advisors are literally the worst I have seen. They are basically unaware of how to advise, impossible to reach, don't follow through, and give no recommendations on pre requisite classes. Now the health science department is even worse. The instructors pride themselves on a high failure percentage. They deviate from school policy and ALL Bio 210 and 211 professors are arrogant and unwilling to support your child. Stay away from the arrogant professors, AND they don't care about your future.AB Gentry

this technical college is the best technical college in south carolina, there was a problem with the workers at the edgefield campus, they lost my transcripts, and they tried to cancel my advisement appointment so they could meet their boyfriend in the parking lot, the students at the edgefield campus were rude, and trashy, they are not going to stop me from going there, the classes that you have to take are wonderful, the instructional methods are excellentJessica Taylor

My Business Administration Management class was amazing, I learned so much and I am carrying it with everywhere I go. Some people do not like it and so do. My instructor was so brilliant and I am so proud and thankful for him. Nice and clean campus seems to be well organized, the technical department seems very organized with all the tools and the training necessary to be prepared for my job. The campus was so clean and so organized that I think I will sign my wife up so she can start classes in the fall. We even showed up before classes were to supposed to start, and the security guard was good about letting us in, it was pretty cold, I hope somebody checked on him cuz he had to walk what seems like miles just to come open the door for us. 😁Ryan Archibald

As someone who isn’t from the USA and relocated from United Kingdom , it was important that I made the correct choice when it came to education in the United States , after doing my research and reaching out to different schools who have a massage program I chose gateway because from the first contact with Mr Tapscott he was super friendly , passionate and helpful , he made sure I had all the information I needed and he directed me to the right place to complete my registration to the program . The price is amazing and they definitely can charge way more for the service they provide , gateway and especially Mr Tapscott made the process so easy and comfortable . My first day of class was so welcoming and they went the extra mile to make sure I/ we students were comfortable , I had the best experience at gateway and this experience was due to my fellow classmates but mostly for the teachers attitude and pride in teaching , Mr Tapscott , ms bouer, and mr Ybarra were amazing , they are so good at what they do and the effort and dedication they put in to each and every student sets them apart from any other education opportunity I’ve taken , we created a family and this includes the teachers , they allowed us to learn at our own pace and didn’t disrespect us , they encouraged us , the material in the program was inspiring and the method of teaching made the learning fun , it was a pleasure to go to gateway for the 9 months of the program and I looked forward to seeing my teachers and classmates everyday throughout the course , the program allows for Externship which gives us the opportunity to work with others in the community also work with employers of massage therapy , it gives you an insight to what to expect after the program . I recently graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Gateway. Mr. Tapscott and his team were the most supportive, inspirational, knowledgeable and humorous group of instructors I have ever studied under. Mr. Tapscott taught the online portion of the course that was heavily weighted in anatomy, physiology and introduction to massage therapy. Mr. Tapscott was always offering assistance to students and following up on financial aid, GI Bill funding, finding places to do externships, or assisting with any other issues the students may have faced. The lab portions of the class were taught by Mr. Ybarra and Ms. Bauer, both experienced massage therapists, both dedicated to successful outcomes for all the students. Mr. Ybarra is known for his demonstrations on various massage and stretching techniques during labs. All three instructors shared a great many stories of their experiences in the massage industry. This team of teachers worked very well together and created an environment where the students felt proud to be part of the class and continuously improved in their massage skills through out the course. Each teacher has a great sense of humor, will be direct if there are issues to address but they are always respectful and professional. The program was also the start of many long lasting friendships and a successful future in the massage industry for myself. I highly recommend the Gateway Massage Therapy Program for anyone that has a desire to improve peoples lives.Kathleen Dimitruck

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!!! I have been attending this school for a while. When I had enrolled I wasn’t given proper information. I do online school and I’ve been struggling with math and biology and to my surprise the instructors do not put the effort in to help other students online. I went in to speak to an advisor and low and behold she didn’t help either. I have a learning disability and stated that information to the advisor and the best answer she gave me was “unfortunately we don’t have special services for students who have disabilities” I’m in the process of getting my associates degree in DMS and no advisors informed me before I started the program that I needed to take an HESI Exam. Another thing is for students who do the online classes, students have to their webcams on to take the tests/quizzes but don’t require it during other class time such as completing assignments. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SCHOOL!!! THERE IS NO HELP WHAT SO EVER AND DONT HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! And because I struggle in math, I’ve tried free Tutoring and they only available for an hour and if you need more time you need to make a new appointment. An hour gets 3 questions done and they still don’t walk you through the process.Monica Balderrama

Horrible school. I attended the school for about 2 years and have a better experience at the DMV. I was told in high school by a Cincinnati State that my credits would transfer from Cincinnati State to University of Cincinnati seamlessly – they did not. In fact when I went to UC, they stated they could accept me as a transfer student but none, zero, NADA – of my credits would transfer. I applied to Miami University (Ohio) and was able to have 3 classes transferred. Miami was also cheaper at the time than Cincinnati State. I had to start all over from scratch after 2 useless years at Cincinnati State. The staff at Cincinnati State, including the teachers, were low quality. Staff seemed to brush off any concerns you have. Asking for help? Only the minimum is provided to guide you in the direction you need. Teachers mostly seemed to be low quality and bottom of the barrel – I only had 2 teachers that were okay out of 2 years. A few teachers I was able to show issues with tests or exams – although they agreed that I was correct at the time, one refused to fix the exam grades for everyone because "That is what the test key answer is and she would have to go back and regrade all the tests"… Sorry? That is literately your job… The next teacher could not understand the wording of their own test question that they provided (online) and would not correct the answer for the students. I communicated this error via email and was pushed away. I pushed back stating the teacher was incorrect and provided the work as to why the answer was wrong, in a professional tone. The teacher responded unprofessionally by changing the color of the text in the email to red, downplaying my proof, not using punctuation, and using unprofessional language. I dropped the class as this is not a teacher in my eye; but someone who is there for a paycheck. Cincinnati State had a graduation rate of just over 12% when I attended. 12% of students graduate from this school…. For the 2019 year it is now 17.9%. The odds of you attending this school for 2-3 years and graduating are very low. You are better off attending a real college if you are serious about your future. The overall poor quality as well. I have never experienced so many arguments between teachers and students in a classroom before. After class is over, everyone leaves campus immediately unless they have another class within the next hour or so. The current ad campaign that is on TV does not portray the school correctly. The average age of students is middle age. There is very few labs due to limited budget. Little to no student engagement events. Printers were not free. Book store was a COMPLETE ripoff, some classes did not require the book due to costs. Teachers would not communicate to students about schedule changes in tests and exams effectively for online classes (I missed my final Physics exam due to this). Save 2 years of your life and go somewhere else. I am not the only one with a really bad experience. If you know someone that attended or attends Cincinnati State, talk to them. You will typically find they did not graduate or they think it is okay but plan to transfer to another school before they finish. My experience at Cincinnati State was something of a mixed bag. I had previously attended a 4-year university but was seeking a career change. Given the low cost of attendance that community colleges provide, I figured that Cincinnati State would be a great option. My first year of studies were great. I had some very kind professors who genuinely cared about the students and the material that they taught. Some faculty members could be a bit rude at times, but that is to be expected in higher education. After my first year, I truly felt like I was on the way to great success. My second year on the other hand turned out to be quite the opposite. During my first semester back from co-op, I received notification that I had been dropped from two classes without explanation. Upon reaching out to the registrar, I was told to contact my program chair/advisor. Upon reaching out to my advisor, I was not given any guidance. I felt like I was really left to my own devices to try to figure out how to schedule my classes. In addition, I found the teaching quality to be quite disappointing. In the one class that I was able to take that semester, my professor did not once hand out a syllabus or explain the grading rubric. I persistently asked him when grades would be given back, and he would give me a specific date. Only once did he ever give back grades on said date. The rest were given at the end of the semester, thus leaving all students in a state of anxiety over what our final grade would be. He stressed the importance of attendance and punctuality but was hardly ever on time for class. On some occasions, he even made me late to work because class would run over. For these reasons as well as the problems mentioned earlier about the administration, I decided not to return to Cincinnati State. In short, Cincinnati State is a good option for those seeking a low-cost education, and there are some great programs and professors here. However, the unorganized and highly bureaucratic administration combined with some exceptionally unprofessional professors keep the school from being as great as it could be. Please tread lightly if considering Cincinnati State now or in the future.Nick Workman

My review was removed probably by google because I mentioned that I don’t appreciate how their curriculum is trying to indoctrinate you. It’s other wise a good school. I got my degree in two years and had no problems. The instructors for my program were great. But it’s absurd in my opinion that a college feels the need to assert their opinions in to every core class. My English class was consistently wanting us to watch TED talks that talked about political standpoints. My sociology professor was the absolute worst. Even if you did an assignment and followed the rubric, but disagreed with her opinion, she would give you a lower score. Then try to justify it by using her own opinion as sources. She also said that anyone who believes in God is likely uneducated. Overall, my experience was good and I’m glad I got my degree here. But it’s just too liberal for my taste.Britt Jones

Worst college experience. The clinical advisor is incapable of her job and pushed the clinical to a future start even though the CPR card takes one day to get but she decides to push it a whole week when we should have been done the day the quarter finished. The phlebotomy instructor is really rude and disrespectful of students and makes students not feel comfortable to speak up and if to ask a question she acts like your a child completely rude. I don't recommend coming to this college. Also the virtual graduation was upsetting to know I had sent my information and sent a photo and not even be on it. Really makes me unhappy to know I spent money and time to be treated as a student like trash and not get acknowledged for the hard work and time put into trying to succeed. This is a terrible college. It’s like pulling teeth to get anyone to email you back about important, time-sensitive information, and you get the runaround when they do. This happened when I was applying for admission, and is currently happening now that they’ve denied me, because they are incompetent, the certificate I worked so hard for. Because they changed the numbers on some math courses, they all of a sudden don’t count towards my certificate, and they lost the official transcript that I sent from my former college, and are denying my transfer credit. Man i had trouble here. Not only did they give me the wrong classes but it turns out i never had FAFSA to cover my classes. And they make me pay for them two years after I left the college. Thank goodness i never continued to study here. I know they have a lot of students to manage but still if you were able to catch that years later then why not then? I knew something was wrong here. I loved this college, compared to a university I saved a TON of money, and I have had nothing but amazing experiences with staff and faculty. They went above and beyond to help me and make sure that I was taking the correct classes for what I wanted to do and that all my credits would transfer. The professors are dedicated to helping the students that want to be helped, just like any school there are the students who don't care and don't put in the effort. It is your money so you are responsible for showing up and doing the work, but as long as you do your professors will be there to help. The campus is also pretty and well maintained.Sarah Reinick

Good little community college. Attended myself and currently have a daughter there. Financial aid was easy to apply for and they explain everything fairly well. They let me down big time, took forever to get my financial aid appointment, they slacked on helping me as a first time student and caused me to be bumped out of the esthetisian course for the second time and they put me on a waiting list again saying the course is now filled up. The advisors don't communicate well and didn't do enough to ensure that process would come together. So now after all of my hard work to get in school they won't own up to the fact that they failed and put it back on me. Excuse me but they get a pay check to ensure a first time student succeeds. No going the extra mile here nor connecting the dots. Your just SOL if you think they care.E Green

It is like pulling teeth to get ahold of ANYONE here. I've sent several emails and voicemails. When (and if) someone does finally respond, they leave a very undetailed email. I never get a phone call back. I live an hour away from the school so "dropping in" isn't really an option. I was willing to move closer to the school if I got into their LPN program, but stopping by to be able to talk to someone is just a bit out of the way… I don't want to drive all the way down there for a few simple questions…Aimee Whatley

Preface this review. It is ONLY for billing and not for the amazing care our cold received. Be very careful when checking in and insist upon doing so with a human who verified with insurance they only charge you the amount dictated by your insurance. To check in for an MRI for a follow up visit, patients are only given the option of using a computer. Several steps in a payment screen appears. Mine said my cost was $500. There was no signage allowing me to skip that payment and no information about checking in with a person. I felt compelled to pay the $500 so our child could get the MRI and see the doctor. I later looked at my copayment and the cost estimate was $186. When I asked the receptionist, she said it’s a glitch in the system that I could call billing, but said the positive is it will go toward my annual out of pocket. I called billing and was told it would go to my deductible, to which I said I’ve already met it. She then also gave me the line with giddiness about me just having contributed toward my annual out of pocket. Doing so is my choice, not theirs to make a mandate in order for our child to receive care. She then said she was emailing her supervisor who would determine whether or not she would decide to refund the over charge. What I pay should be directly connected to what my insurance states is the amount I owe rather than some arbitrary dollar amount that any overage can contribute to my out of pocket. I cringe every time a merchant ask if I want to donate to Children's hospital. They probably do a lot of good, but our experience has been terrible. They put off a benevolent persona, but they are really money hungry and on multiple occasions have attempted to collect money from us that they were not owed. I have lost so much time proving to them I did not owe them money. Now they seem to be understaffed and those working there do not know what they are doing. Very disorganized. My daughter had to get screws removed due to a previous surgery performed at Children's and they did not even have that even have that previous surgery in her chart and did not know why the surgery was being done. This was right they told us we needed to pay $8,000 before they could check us in for our surgery. They said our make out of pocket was $16,000 and we showed them right there printed on our insurance card it says $8,000 which we have long since hit. "oh yeah, your are right, huh huh" was there response. I have spent over $30,000 out of my pocket with Children's Hospital over the last few years and I am not happy!Jared Beard

Be very aware of HUGE hidden fees, (even for simple "outpatient" procedures). Before having children, I regularly donated to children's hospital. The first time I utilized their services with my own children, I was shocked, and angered by the amount of costs, and elevated fees, and hidden facilities fees, and quickly ended my donations) No one was willing to work with me back then to help with payments. They report the reason for extremely HIGH "outpatient" procedures is because they are billing on par with other Level 1 Trauma hospitals. I understand that, but don't suggest I easily just go down the hall for a VERY NON- urgent procedure that will then get billed as if I am coming into a Level 1 trauma hospital Emergency room. For one outpatient visit, I'm paying nearly $4,000 for IN-network visit. Nothing about it urgent. In fact, it all would have been cheaper had I gone to a level 3 hospital ER verses these outpatient offices. Do better with communication and transparency Children's! I will do everything to avoid setting foot in their facilities.T Martin

Hi well hello currently I am in the Medical assistant evening class, and my instructor Mr Juan has been the best instructor I have had so far. He has been teaching all classes Morning, afternoon and Evening, and yet despite him being here all day and me being the last class from 5pm to 10pm he never looses his enthusiasm. He has a strong passion to teach and he really does show us real world situations. He prepares us for the best and for the worst case scenarios since he has been in the medical field for 10 years, he shows us to always have respect and empathy for everyone. He radiates positivity and love, with every thing he does. He dedicates everything to being the best teacher he can be and it really shows how much he cares. Any time i'm having trouble with any work I know I can ask and he will explain everything a million times until I fully understand the subject. I am currently enrolled at Pima, and the last couple months have been amazing. I’m in the Dental Assistant program and my instructor, Tanya Elespuru, has taught me more than I ever thought I would know. She’s an amazing instructor, and overall great person. Ugh, I hate leaving bad reviews for medical providers. Their jobs are so tough as it is. So this review is for Denver Health overall and not any one provider. Everyone I talk to is polite and professional, and the medical staff are top notch. But that's only IF YOU CAN GET AN APPOINTMENT. And there's the rub. I have Elevate Health Insurance, which means I can ONLY use Denver Health for all my medical needs. "Sorry that the dermatologist is booked the rest of the year." I guess I'm just SOL. Seriously, do NOT get their health insurance, they are overbooked beyond any level of reasonable capacity for what seems like all of their care areas. If you have a choice, go elsewhere. In fact, I will likely opt for catastrophic insurance next year and then just pay for specialists out of pocket. Better than paying over $500 per month for nothing.S B

My daughter was in a pedestrian car accident two months ago. She spent a month at Denver Health to address her catastrophic injuries. The level of quality and caring cannot be overstated. She received TOP NOTCH medical care from the entire team – from janitorial staff to the head of service. EVERY person who came into her room treated her with respect and caring. Even when she was non-responsive they talked to her and explained what was going to happen. They apologized when they did things that were uncomfortable. They rooted for her and believed in her until she began to respond. She is on the road to a full recovery, an outcome we could not imagine 2 months ago. We have the ENTIRE team to thank. May you never need the kind of care she received. If you do, be thankful you have the kind of care Denver Health can provide.Caroline Anna

I have had a rough few months adjusting the a recent move to Denver and first went to a regular urgent care clinic a couple months ago and paid almost $300 for a doctors visit and a chest X-ray without insurance. Ouch. Went to Denver health today and was sooooo happy with everything. The front desk ladies were so polite and nice and I was seen within 3 minutes. My nurse Garrett was very professional and attentive. Doctor Foss was great and caring and got me out of there within a half hour. The copay is only $50. Finally! I can breathe easier knowing that this place will take care of me as I have to wait for insurance. Such a pleasant experience. I wish all doctors visits were as good as today was. The welding department at Lincoln Tech of Denver has a lot of advantages. The teaching staff is awesome- Brian Bennett, Shane Kohn, Robert Rabino, Joel Lopez, Jerrod Brown, Joe, Todd. These guys have worked in the industry and they can answer almost every single question you could have. The facilities are top notch. There was always plenty of space to work. Plenty of welding machines to go around. And they were always stocked up on the necessary supplies for stick, MIG, and TIG. When it comes to learning how to weld, having the right tools and supplies is crucial. Lincoln supplies every student with a laptop and all the necessary tools a welder carries. The program was 7 months. The first month or so is all safety stuff and general theory of welding. After that, it’s pretty much all classroom time. I should say that with Covid, we had alternating days online, so I felt we got a lot more theory than we would have in previous years, but I think that’s a good thing in the end. Lincoln did a great job and adapting to covid and keeping students engaged while working from home online. Career services also does a great job. The welding department’s student rep, Joyce DeSantis, runs a tight ship helping students with resumes and job placement. Lastly, the Dean of Education, Dwayne Isbell, and the President of the school, Kelly Moore, both personally made themselves available for me when I needed them. I highly recommend Lincoln Tech of Denver. I definitely feel like my education from here is going to take me a long way. Oh and I got a job offer before I even finished school.Quinn Zimmer

I have almost finished the Auto program here at Lincoln Tech. Having prior experience in the field before enrolling helped me pick up a lot more from the teachers. The theory can be bland, but get through that and the teachers are very knowledgeable in the shop. One teacher stood out for me out of all of them; Steve Hatch. I identified with him pretty closely, as we both come from the mid-west US, and I gleaned more out of his three classes than I had over some periods of working in the field. I was apprehensive at first from hearing about Mr. Hatch from some of his prior students. I found very little truth in their words. He is perhaps the most fair and attentive teacher I got to learn under during my time with Lincoln Tech, and he has my gratitude for that. Other than the teachers, most of the shop equipment is kept in decent repair and plenty of tools are available. Some of the more specialized equipment, like the chassis and transmission dyno's, can only be operated by one of two of the teachers. That would be the one thing I would change at the school so no one has to miss dyno day.Joshua Lane

I couldn’t have done it without everyone helping me! I flew in from out of town for a hair transplant, very happy with the quality of the work and the care given by Dr Mortarjeme and his team. Great genuine people who talk straight and want you to be happy with the results. Their office environment is unique, well done, and inviting. I had around 2750 transplants done with the Artas iX robot doing the extraction, and two wonderful technicians putting them back in. My day was unusually long starting at 9am and ended at 8pm, but there were unrelated delays in the morning that most wouldn’t experience. Another customer was there the next day getting 2500 done and started at 7am and was done around 4pm. If you’re flying in I’d definitely recommend spending the night in Denver after your transplant like I did, I’ve heard of people flying out the day of the transplant and that’s possible, but that first night is a little tougher and best to have a place to crash close by and recover. The procedure itself is relatively pain free and just takes a bit of time. After that first night everything is really comfortable and easy. Spontaneously while there I made the decision to do the male enhancement procedure the next day after my hair transplant. They didn’t try to sell me on it, I was just curiously asking what it was all about and how it worked and after learning more, in particular that there’s nothing artificial left in you and your body’s own material in the end makes you bigger. That procedure was faster and even more comfortable than the hair transplant. 30-day recovery time and some clear management steps you need to do to make sure the process proceeds correctly but it’s not too bad. I’m glad I did them together so that I can recover from both at the same time. I am extremely satisfied with the outcome of my FUE procedure at Medical Man Cave. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with open arms and immediately felt at home. I spent approximately thirty minutes in the hyperbaric chamber before meeting the doctor. Due to the pressure, you will be forced to pop your ears by holding your nose and blowing out air very slowly. This will allow you to sit in the chamber for the remainder of the session. You may request that the staff decrease the pressure if it is too high. At that point, I met Christain and Dr. Motarjeme, both of whom were very pleased to see me and to be able to assist me. I received a genuine interest in the outcome of the procedure from both Christians and Dr. Motarjeme. After that, I had three lovely ladies perform my procedure together. I was provided with a clean silk PJ outfit, a pillow for elevating my legs, and a cozy, warm blanket as they worked on my scalp. They allowed me to play whatever music I desired, and they ordered me lunch based on my preferences. I felt at ease in the entire environment, and I will be returning to undergo a different procedure. It was the way they hyped up the transplant results that I found the most enjoyable. Despite the fact that I have about 9-12 months to wait for the final results, I feel 1000% better about myself right now. That's not a typo, I TRULY feel 1000% better about myself! HIGHLY recommend! I had to get a double root canal, and Dr. Hahn made the experience as seamless as possible. I was referred to him for one root canal, but his attention to detail caused him to notice an issue with another tooth in the xray. I'm glad he did, because my other tooth was dead and I would have needed to come back in a few months. Dr. Hahn spent over 2 hours on my surgery because he was sensitive to the pain I was in and tried multiple methods of numbing until I felt completely comfortable. I understand why root canals can be so miserable when doctor's prioritize time over patient care, but Dr. Hahn was very empathetic and made sure I was in as little pain as possible.Meghan Clifford

Scheduling an appointment was easy and I was seen fairly quickly from the date that I set it. Staff here were incredibly kind and efficient. I didn’t have to wait long in the lobby either which is always a plus. During the consultation Dr.Olsen thoroughly went over everything with me. I got both feet done in March 2022 – and I am already back on the hiking trails in May! Attached is a picture of what my surgery looked like before the surgery and after 9 days, I would say it healed very well and I was walking on it the day of the surgery without pain. Not sure what kind of advanced magic surgery this place does, but people come from all over North America for this surgery with no down time. I was gently walking through airports the whole healing process. I would recommend Dr. Jordan and have to many people who had similar issues, showing them pictures of my progress. I believe this is the only way to go if you have foot issues, they take insurance, they take payments and are reasonable in their fees for us people on the go! Who has 6 weeks to be laid up?? It was an exceptional hands-on training with a lot of material taught during the week. The instructor has considerable amount of experience in the field and has great teaching methods of active recall, spaced repetition and interleaving the skills. The simulators are very well thought for the skills learned. The environment was fast paced but the instructor takes the time to observe everyone and teach and correct perhaps the things we have been doing wrong for years. Moreover, he teaches with patience and enthusiasm and a magnificent sense of humor. I think this a very good investment for my career.Kendy López

Hands down, the best school to attend. It has an excellent 6 day lab course that will definitely get you prepared to start your clinical rotation with confidence in what you're doing. The instructors always answer any questions you may have and in a timely manner. The online learning makes it so easy to work at your own pace. Great Class! I am an NP and took the class to help with my hospital credentialing. I learned a TON about suturing. I am excited to take my skills back to my surgeon and practice! NOTE: Make sure if you're an NP you check to see if you need the whole certification or just the skills lab. My doctor was Laura Boschini. I’m not happy with the results. I felt like my procedure was rushed. The areas that I paid for weren’t addressed. The consultation didn’t go very well. I didn’t even get a chance to explain my ideal body. The doctor just said, we’re gonna do this this and this and that’s it. Like what?! The amount of pain felt during the procedure was awful. I was shot with lidocaine. I thought we had to wait for it to numb the area. But she didn’t? My doctor did the second procedure so fast. Not only did it get pushed back a few hours, but it lasted less that an hour. I’m just not happy with how the second procedure went. I wish I could get a second opinion from another doctor. I just know more could have been done. My arms are still in pain. When I left them up, I can still feel fluid going up my arms. I’m regretting this entire thing. Not looking forward to revisions. I just want this to be over and done with. But I’ll have to undergo another procedure because my doctor missed so much. I’m very disappointed. The fact that I only get one compression suit is ridiculous. I never got a smaller suit for once the swelling went down either. Not the experience I was expecting. You don’t receive any nutritional education. They just tell you not to eat sodium and sugar. And walk. See you in 3 months. I just felt like a number. Not a patient. I cannot speak highly enough of the Denver Sonobello! I was scheduled for my procedure last Saturday, and we hit a hiccup with my medical background. Nikki stopped everything to help me get the official ok from my primary care physician. This was so important since I'm going on vacation in a month and a half, and the procedures were lined up so I can go on my vacation and enjoy everything. I have had my first procedure, and even though I am swollen and bruised I absolutely love my results. Nice facility, on time appointment. Thought I would be meeting with a Dr., but was assisted with a Consultant, who was very kind. You have to pay over $500 during pre-opt before you meet with Surgeon and only after signing contract. I would like to meet with with surgeon, at no charge, first, to ask more questions and make sure they are someone I want performing surgery on me. I was not givien any brochures, so that I could understand procedure better. Cost is expensive particularly for tightening of extra skin.Neta Curren

Everyone from Registration staff to post op nurse were very welcoming, professional and caring. They explained every aspect involving my surgery. I was especially impressed with anesthesiologist, OR staff and my post op nurse Stacey. Because I rec’d a nerve block, I was pain free for 24 hours. The anesthesiologist personalized the delivery of my meds so I had no nausea or sore throat like I’ve experienced at other surgical centers. The OR nurse instinctively placed a pillow under my knees which relieved the discomfort in my back b/c I had been lying on a hard gurney in pre op. Stacey was very thorough in making sure I was comfortable in post op, checking on me frequently & was patient in explaining my discharge instructions to my husband. Really unprofessional and not focused on the patient. Day of procedure they bumped my friend's procedure time and moved her pickup time from 4pm to a 315pm but then called to say that she was ready at 2:35pm. When I said I would be there as soon as possible, they pushed her to find a new ride and basically shoved her out the door. For what? So they could go play golf? My friend literally heard the nurse say how great it would be to leave early. Appointment times and pickup times are scheduled in advance for a reason. We all want to go home early when possible but making a patient feel unwelcome and uncared for is not cool.Leah Metz

My First Surgery: Recently had ACL and Meniscus surgery at DSC. It was my first surgery and I'm not sure my experience could've been better. When I arrived, the receptionist walked me through all my paper work. Then, a nurse came out and took me back to get prepped. Talked me though everything he was doing, asked me about my life in Denver, what I do for work, and just overall tried to keep me calm. Each member of the surgery team from the anesthesiologist, to the nurse, to the actual surgeon were so nice and reassuring. When I awoke, I was in tremendous pain and the nurse helped me through it.
