Terrible. Lack of care, lack of planning, lack of client co-ordinatio & a failure of due diligence on their part. If you don't want your prescriptions refilled, enjoy not having questions/messages sent via their supplied patient portal answered, not having phone calls returned, enjoy not having a provider get familiar with your file before the 11th hour/last minute, then go there. I needed a rx refill on Aug 27th. My pharmacy sent over 2 requests to my provider for the refill. After 3 days of it still not being filled, the provider (Who has since resigned) told me "I just received it and will send it soon". This message was sent to me via the portal. 3 more days and still nothing. Multiple message I sent to her asking what the reason for the delay was. I never got a response from her. Finally after 15 days over due, the pharmacy received her approval. Perhaps she was busy during this period due to her & another provider there both leaving to start their business. Which, this practice apparently has a fairly frequent amount of turn over rates. Ironically, I was sent an email from the departing provider, inviting me to 'transfer care' to her & her new practice she formed with the other provider who resigned at the same time. The email also suggested I could remain with Wake Psychiatry & choose a new provider. I had no motivation to remain with anyone who refused to renew medication in a safe & timely manner as well as not communicate. A phone call I made to the 'Practice Manager' to affirm this would not happen again if I chose to remain with Wake Psychiatry, went unanswered. I left a message but no courtesy call was returned. That shows additional lack of care. In Oct of this year, I chose a new provider there based on the providers background & area of experience. On Oct 10th I made an appt with a new provider. I asked if telehealth was available through this provider. I was told "All of our providers treat with telehealth" & nothing more. I was not told I needed to come in for an initial one hour consult due to being a new client with her. The appt was made for Oct 18th this year. On the 17th I had to reschedule & made a new appt for Oct 25th. On the 24th at 4:15 p.m., 15 minutes before they close, (one day before my appt & less than 24hr notice) I was called by a woman named Allison who's position there I do not know as she did not identify herself aside from her name. She asked me if I chose Carrie Petit myself or, if I was assigned her. I told Allison I chose her. Allison told me that I would need to come in personally so "Vitals could be taken due to the medication I am on". I have been on said medications for numerous months, some over a year & of which, were prescribed by them. I at no time had to come in for such vitals. I was told by Allsion "I would have to check to see if another provider could work with you but first, would have to see if they would be willing to see you via telehealth". Also, that "I will call you back to see who may be willing to do that". Today the 26th, I received no such call. My current medications are about to run out once more. This shows, lack of caring, poor client co-ordination & planning. The office had since Oct 10th to tell me of any such need to come in. Being disabled, traveling is difficult. It also suggests to me that my file/cause for visits was not reviewed or became familiar with until the last minute. Yesterday the 25th at 2:00 p.m. since I had not received any call & to attempt to find out where I stood, I contacted the office & asked for Allison. I was transferred to a mans voice mail who identifies himself on the recording as "This is the practice manager" with no name given as it is a need to know basis apparently. I left a message explaining the above & requested to be called. Now at 12.00 p.m. on the 26th, still no return call. This shows lack of due diligence, lack of care, poor ethics & is counter productive to even be in the Mental Health field. People deserve better & better is surely out there. Go elsewhere as I have chosen. F.Y.I.- 10/27th & still no call.J. V.
