20 Best Mph Programs In Indianapolis, IN (2022 Updated)

Please do not attend this school for it's transition to teaching graduate program. The professors did not prepare for their classes and provided low quality education to the point that I could not justify continuing with this program after paying in over $4,000. When attempting to get them to appeal the final $800 for the semester I left the program they simply refused to give any leeway or acknowledge and error on their part and sent me collections with an additional $350 fee. With no recourse beyond their own appeals process that unsurprisingly found no problem on their end, all I can do is complain on their review boards. On the plus side, the do have a beautiful campus and I can not in anyway speak to the quality of their undergraduate program.Daniel Gore

While well established as a great Franciscan university, Marian remains up-and-coming in terms of their MAT program for teachers. I had a wonderful experience in terms of the contacts made and networks formed while attending. However, much remains to be done to increase the rigor and requirements for that particular degree. Still, Marian University will soon open the second medical school in the State of Indiana. They are also adding a seemingly much finer tuned doctoral education leadership program.Tim Lankford

Here visiting for a campus tour with my daughter. So far what we have seen is amazing. Marian University is a great place. The buildings are contemporary except for a few historical sites that were preserved. Other than that, it appears to be a great place. The people were friendly as we visited as well. Definitely live on campus if you are looking for the full college experience. I've lived here for 3 years as an undergraduate and the facilities are very nice and the people very helpful. It's easy to find a job through the university and the research opportunities in science blow many other universities out of the water. Scholarships are also abundant if you know where to look and ask around. Professors range from fantastic to poor like at any university. I believe there are over 300 organizations and clubs to get involved in and always neat things like movies playing, dances, carnivals, etc, you just have to know to look for them. The campus is beautiful, especially in the spring and summer when the fountain is going and everyone is lounging outside. IUPUI is what you make of it, and getting involved is the best way to experience it.Amber Goad

I've had a couple of lousy instructors, but for the most part I really enjoy the instructors I've had. I'm learning a lot of important information that will help me as an employee. I am currently a junior at IUPUI. Year after year I am always excited to come back to school! The campus is modern and in the middle of the city! There is always an event happening somewhere on campus, so you are always having the college experience. I love IUPUI and I think that it is the best university ever!Payton

In the interest of giving a credible review, I'll be blunt about this university. I've attended this university for years and I can't find any glaring flaws; and I've approached it rather cynically. I would recommend this school for anyone looking to cut back on the mindless posturing often associated with law school as the faculty and staff here are more interested in discussing the issues and material than upholding some nonsensical image. This institution has graduated multiple U.S. Vice Presidents, yet doesn't carry any smugness or arrogance that one might expect. The students here are some of the brightest people I've met, but don't attempt to cut each other's throats to get ahead. Overall, I find this university to be an environment which is incredibly conducive to learning. I've tried very hard to find some major issues with this law school, but they simply don't exist from my perspective. If you're considering this school, go visit. Appallingly narrow-minded faculty and student body. To offer a blanket characterization of either students or faculty as "brilliant" would be an overstatement, although there are pockets of serious academic accomplishment. Class discussions are okay until you challenge the legitimacy of law and policy rooted in religious dogma, or half-baked conservatism. A challenging and well-regarded law school, McKinney has everything I need and more. I never felt like "just a number," as some other reviewers here, and virtually every professor could meet with me any time I needed. Also, MANY practitioners and legislators in Indianapolis went to McKinney, so the connections one can make here are invaluable.Stephen Reen

"This is the most horrible school I have ever sent my son to. "They are to strict and overbearing. They have a behavioral chart of colors between yellow to darn near every color of the rainbow. Which means if your child breaths wrong and the teacher doesn't like it or him he can be on any color red, purple, blue, if he turns his head in class and the teacher doesn't like it he can be on yellow, red, or green, If he has to go to the bathroom and it's not time for the "CLASS" to go then he gets a demerit for having to take care of his humanly natural business and reduced to a lower color on the zombie rainbow color chart in return reducing his little spirit to making him feel as if he has done something wrong for having to go to the bathroom when "THEY" didn't want him to. My daughter loved it there, i wish it went to 6 th grade cause she did not want to leave.. All the staff there are very nice, an try to help with any problem you may have as soon as you let them know they get you the help you need.. This is the best school my child has ever went to !! And I would like to take the time and thank the staff the principal and every staff member in the school for showing interest in our children that other schools have not. The middle school is the Worst school I ever sent my child to in Indianapolis!!!!!!! The school is not equipped to work with kids with a IEP and behavior…. The teachers, principal and Dean need to be retrained and need additional education on how to handle a child with a disability or they need to let it be known that they can not attend to a CHILD with a disability. On July 10 I sent Tom Hicks of Fishers Indiana,president of Indy MPH Watersports,. $3,250 which was the fee for a great white shark diving trip. I also spent an additional $2,000 in travel and diving certification in anticipation of the trip. The trip was scheduled for September. A week before the trip is was re-scheduled for mid October. Today,just days before the trip I was informed the trip had been canceled. I emailed Tom Hicks requesting a refund since the trip was canceled. Like so many others my financial situation has changed drastically due to covid. Tom refuses to issue a refund. Tom is attempting to steal the money I sent him. He refuses to return the funds of the the check he cashed into his personal account. I’ve filed a theft and fraud report with the Fishers Indiana police department. I have also contacted Bank of America and reported the fraud to them. I have also contacted my attorney and plan on filing against Tom hicks as well as Indy MPH Water sports for this theft. I know we are all facing unprecedented difficult times but to take advantage of someone and steal their money is not right. I am posting this in hopes that anyone else who considers doing business with Tom Hicks or INDY MPH water sports can use this information to make an educated decision and consider taking their business elsewhere.Seven Dunbar

Hello, i am writing in regards to a man named Tom Hicks , Owner of Indy Mph Watersports. Tom Stop almost $4k from me and about a dozen other people under the ruse of a shark diving trip that never happened. He refused to issue refunds saying he had given the money to the boat in mexico, when the boat company in mexico were contacted they said they had not received any money from Tom. HE had taken tens of thousands of dollars and pocketed it. I have learned that he has stolen from and ripped of other people as well. Indy MPH Watersports has an amazing quantity and quality of scuba training. I've had the privilege to study under 6 of their instructors over the past 18 months and have only great educational experiences. Joy, Jeff, Pete, Mike, Tom and Tom are all very experienced, prepared and love helping people learn. I HIGHLY recommend INDY MPH for your Open Water and Advanced diver certifications. Their shop sponsored trips are amazing and stress free and the quality of their advanced diver specialty certification programs and fantastic. I got accepted to UINDY after careful consideration about the program I wanted to attend. I chose UIndy over 3 other schools I was accepted to. They were not helpful at all after admission about what I needed to do next. The orientation was a joke and not helpful, they basically only addressed the students that would be receiving parental help with the finances and didn't answer any questions about the students like myself who would be doing it on their own, since my parents basically paid for my first degree. I also am supposed to receive half off my tuition due to my father being a disabled veteran. The Advisor I spoke with denied that despite the paperwork I sent her. A few weeks later I received my bill. They want 12k in a MONTH or else I would be dropped from classes. I reached out for more financial aid help and never got any response. Calls were not returned and emails were left ignored. This school was supposed to help me follow my dreams, and instead they crushed them. They killed all aspiration I had to further my education. It is now too late for me to attend any other college this fall and I must wait until next fall now, assuming I will even gain the perseverance back. If you are looking for a good college, I would stray from UIndy. I was left alone in the dark and put behind all the students who's mommy and daddy's will be paying the cost. I have enjoyed my 2 years here and now i am plaining to move to CA. Professors always say that we are willing to help you if you come to our offices, but when I go to them they do not answer my question from the different aspects. If you do not ask multiple questions, they will not explain everything. Even in class, they try to hide some information from you so that you have to read the whole book to not miss any point. NOT ONE OR TWO PROFESSORS HAVE DONE THAT ( ESPECIALLY CHEMISTRY MAJOR). My advice, be away of this. There are a lot of activities that you can meet different people and learn more about different cultures. Plus, alcohol is prohibited in campus. ** I do not drink at all** Good LuckLolo Lole

I transferred here after attending Indiana University my first year of college. I felt the college is a great option for students who want more attention and a smaller class size. I always really enjoyed my time at UIndy because of their great and supportive athletic department. The school being smaller gave me more opportunities to fulfill my dreams and do what I wanted to do in college. Like everything, it is not for everyone. I believe it is a great school though and should be considered by all. It ended up being a perfect fit for me.The Landys

The students here are top-notch professionals. I have gone to several dentists in the past for general cleanings and the treatment I received here was by far the best. Pros: Students actively teach and encourage patients about improvements to dental hygiene. Students keep track of oral health (eg. plaque and gum level) each visit. The cleanings so far are all done by meticulous hand-scraping instead of a quick run-of-the-mill electric "grinder" that doesn't reach the crevices between teeth (typically used at most private dental offices). Gentle but thorough cleaning, which is checked by a dentist and faculty member. Convenient location. Affordable and takes insurance. Relatively flexible scheduling. Cons: It took over a month to become a new patient partially due to the pandemic. It may take longer than a typical private office visit but that is offset by the quality of care and attention to detail. I was accidentally billed for something that was 100% covered under my insurance but that was taken care of after it was brought up. Thank you for the amazing cleanings so far! The front desk is AMAZING, as are the student and Amelia was more than helpful. I will say I wanted an appt for an extraction, I even called before to make sure. I knew my dentist (Dr. Polido) wanted to try to save my tooth from my previous appt. She was almost rude about it, it felt like it was more about money, due to the fact it’s a tooth in the very back, and I’ve never even had a cavity. I just knew I wanted it pulled. I thought, maybe she was having a bad day. I come into my appt and she told me to go to the referral she gave me to get it pulled bc she doesn’t so extractions. If I knew that to be true in the first place, I wouldn’t have left my busy clinic to come here. She was dismissive and rude when she told me the news. Thank god Amelia worked to get me into an emergency appt with the resident. McKinnley was great. I appreciate all her time, as well as the front desk. But doc’s bedside manner needs A LOT of work. I have received excellent care at the school. I needed several restorations, a root canal, crown, and surgical extraction. I could not have afforded to save my teeth if I had to go to a dentist at a private practice. I paid $43 for a root canal at the school and in the past at a regular dentist I paid over $600. It does take extra time because the students work very precisely and carefully. The students make sure you get top treatment. They work with a dentist close by that checks their work step by step.. I have felt so comfortable that I have even fallen asleep in the chair. I'm so thankful for the dental school and I highly recommend people go there for dental treatment. They take insurance. It's not just for low income people either. It's a very nice new clean facility also.misbelle smith

In 1978 my Mother was transported to IU med from Kokamo . She was in a coma for 3 or 4 months. I recieved a call from Moms Doctor he wanted to do surgery on Mom. She had 3 aneurysms putting pressure on brain. They did surgery my Mom was 51. She lived to 72. Thank u allVicki Satterfield

I would not recommend this for your Group Instructor certificate. I have taken the test twice and failed. I bought both reading materials and have read word for word each book , hi-lighted, went back through both books and took notes, re-read the books, and my notes. There are questions on the test that are NOT in either of these books. Their are slim to no webinars on this not to mention the cost of them. They don't even have the PrepU option for this cert. I also reached out to them via email asking about a couple things after the first test and NO ONE responded (they don't care, they just want your money). seeing as in one of their books they state peoples learning styles and only 15% of people learn by reading and testing, therefore they are pretty much setting up everyone to fail. (Again Just a money thing to them) I have been very happy with Affa and would highly recommend you do any and all certs through them. I will be letting anyone and everyone in my line of business how this place is ran and how they neglect their customers when trying to succeed. Their communication and service doesn’t exist. To find ways to communicate and be communicated with are a struggle. It is clearly used as a piggy bank to find ways to increase fees and trick members into paying more than necessary while offering nothing in return. Simply a piece of “paper” with no support or education. I would not recommend this credential to anyone. There are cheaper and easier ones to acquire that are still universally accepted. Why pay more and have more headache for nothing in return? People who are leaving bad reviews probably have two issues. 1. They studied too much and over thought the test they took. 2. They don’t know how to APPLY the things you learn to real life situations. It’s not a memorization test, it’s a competency test. If you’re not competent in all areas of your cert, regardless of the test you take, you’re going to have a hard time passing. Also, you get results instantly on the computer. So saying that it takes forever to get your results is a lie. I passed the CPT and received my hard copy certification in the mail within two weeks.Joe Chamberlain

I can’t imagine what is happening in the emergency room…I mean it’s called emergency for a reason. Imagine waiting from 12pm and it’s currently 6:40pm and still waiting. The reason I came to the emergency room got worse and it’s just awful. Imagine being pregnant and coming in because of stomach pain during pregnancy.
