Only reason I'm going back for a senior year is because I've already spent too much $$ in my previous 3 years. Meal plan is a scam, food itself is laughable and the service provider and school refuse to do anything. I have had many issues with administration including opened packages and repeated accidental charges. Dorms are all run down and are extremely expensive. Most gen Ed classes feel useless and like high School classes. Automotive program classes are interesting but there is a ton of filler and a few bad Profs, I wish it was a 2 year program without gen Eds. Useless seminar classes are required every year. It really feels like this college loves to waste student's money on useless programming and events. At least they aren't good at keeping drugs and alcohol off-campus so we can drown our sorrows!DB Cooper

Awesome campus!! Beautifully laid out among the rolling Kansas hills.. small enough to have that home town feeling yet big enough to get a great education.. people locally are courteous, kind and polite.. justice center is here so it's a little safer I feel, low crime, a lot of local businesses to care for what ever you may want or think you need.. bowling alley, movie theater, hospital with a ER, many fast food places and hotels for family, loved ones to visit.. 35mph throughout the entire town..Jenn “JENN” Smith

I'm a 43 yr old single mom and going back to College was very intimidating but the professors, staff and students are so accepting and welcoming. The science curriculum that I am in is very challenging and will teach and prepare me for a new career that I don't feel I would have gotten anywhere else. This place offers free information to the public regarding everything from mold 2 problems with your trees, lawn anything. They do not have an intimate allergy department anymore they have to send your specimen to K state. This was in part because of budget cuts not their fault. I just can't recommend this organization enough these people are super nice and will find an answer for you. They also have an extensive arboretum located around the exteriour of the extension office. I highly recommend thank you for all your help.Kevroc

Best multipurpose building/organization! Good location, lots of parking, the farmer's market on Saturday morning is always wonderful! I appreciate all the other things this building does from COVID-19 testing & vaccination. Craft, book and plant fairs, too many events to name. This is truly a must visit place in Wichita!A S

Very nice place for a walk, bike ride etc. and next to Sedgwick County Park. Educational classes held in a lovely outdoor garden, inside halls rented for things year round. Clean & well kept facility. Warm weather weekends always toast a local farmers market on SaturdayScarlett

This place is horrible. Dr. Sweets staff is the rudest people I have ever came across. They ignore symptoms, mess up every scrip you have. They spend more time looking busy that it would be to actually do the work. If you need an hiv provider then I suggest you move near a better provider.K J

I was on the west side of Wichita and I get turned around trying to get back East especially to some place downtown so I have put my doctor's address in on my map quest as I just pull up her address and I clicked on her address and it got me there just fine. thank you very much!Margaret Kennedy

My mother is very sick and we've been working with a team to figure out a diagnosis. Almost everyone we have encountered has been very kind and helpful. Only complaint is that scheduling is kind of bad. It takes a long time to get in to see anyone new, 2-3 months.Meagan B

I wish I would have gone somewhere else. It's an overly-priced high school. I was a music education major and attended for four semesters (two years). Tuition is cheaper than most private universities, but the education does not live up to the price. Teachers are too involved with your private life (at least in the fine arts department). The school has no money which is one of the reasons they hired the new president of the school. They increase tuition by about $500-600 every year. Keep in mind that this is a private Christian school, so you will have to take extra religion classes in addition to your general and degree-related classes. Many teachers were fired during my short time attending Friends because the school didn't have the money to pay them. Don't go here just because it looks nice or is a Christian school. Unless you are a Spanish or Zoo Science major, you will receive a far better education choosing a different university. The debt is not worth it.Cassidy Sutton

Not worth the ridiculous cost of debt that will follow you till your grave. Get a job trade, make decent money, and live your dreams to the fullest. Unless your career absolutely requires a degree or you feel the need to go into higher academia don't play the college debt game. Speaking from several that have attended this college and who are still paying for education that did nothing in the workforce! Several I know found nothing with their degree and are doing well without it. Fail to complete your degree? Don't worry Friends will send the nastiest creditors till the end of time after you to remind you of your eternal debt. I rank college loan officers worse than payday loan centers!Philip Nielsen

I am an alumni of Friends and what the previous poster stated was accurate. Even though I relished my time here, looking back, the degree was not worth the money. There are other places in Wichita to get a degree and not be in a mountain of debt. I assure you that the quality is also about the same. I wish more young people realized that they will eventually have to pay it back unless they were lucky enough to get scholarships or parents that paid.Emily Bennet

Went to college here for a year. Beautiful campus, great dining, excellent staff, and an overall good experience. There are many clubs to get involved in and so many campus activities. Many of the buildings are modern, including the Student Center and the Dorm. The Dorm- Shocker Hall- is an incredible place to live. When I left, they had just finished building the new Flats on campus, which look amazing as well. Overall, a great college with a beautiful campus that’s relaxing to walk around at night. I got both of my graduate and undergrad degree from Wichita State, and I really liked my experience. Wichita State has a beautiful campus, lots of student organizations through which students can get involved, there are always some activities & events going on on-campus. The campus is full of diversity. Instructors are pretty decent, helpful, most of them really care about their students success. Class sizes are not too big for most of the classes. It’s hit or miss with professors that care, don’t bother getting one with tenure they are the worst professors. Financial aid office doesn't care about helping pay for school and ignore revision requests. Costs constantly going up for things students don’t need and parking is an absolute nightmare. Good things are the campus is nice and fairly up to date. When you get a professor that cares they are willing to help. Advisors are hit or miss.Kaylee Wallis

I loved going to this school! The campus is amazing. It seems huge but all of my classes were on the main campus so I did not have to rush across to the other side. The bus system is great because it’s free to students and almost always on time. All the faculty, staff and drivers I interacted with were very nice and caring towards their students. The campus is well kept and very rarely had litter on the ground. The traditions were what made the experience. You felt like you were apart of something bigger which made it feel more welcoming! They have so many degree programs and great clubs. Would recommend this school to anyone! RCJHElle Eff

Lawrence is so beautiful! And MY is equally so. The campus has an interesting mix of buildings both old and new. My husband and prior generations of his family went there because of positive experiences and the terrific academic programs. Sports,extracurricular activities and friendliness of students and staff attract both Kansas students and ones from all over the world. U of Ks has excellent Art and Natural History Museums. I just graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelors in History and am very satisfied with my general experience with the college. As a veteran that doesn't even live in Lawrence, my experience is going to be somewhat unique to the general student body. I drove in everyday and attended classes. This figurative and literal journey was both a struggle and a breeze. It took a lot of hard work. The staff, professors, and student body at the University of Kansas makes that journey worth the effort.Phillip Cummings

How could you improve? By actually helping students when they come to staff and ask for help. The coding bootcamp claimed to have industry connections and a good employment rate after graduating. This is not true. My experience was completely disappointing compared to friends that went to Centriq and Launch code. Spend your money wisely and choose another program that actually has good resources. This was a complete waste of time and money-and I know several other students that feel the same way. There was an instructor that actually bullied students. A lot of people wouldn't go to class if they knew he was going to be there. Thankfully I didn't have him as my regular instructor but the few times he instructed our class was awful. Most* of the student aides were completely disinterested in helping anyone.Angeline Slayton

I am very disappointed in KU. I tried to get a covid vaccine for my 73 year old husband with diabetes. They said they have vaccines but they are for their customers. So if you don't use KU they won't give you a vaccine. Those vaccines are sent by the government for anyone over 65. They are meant for everyone not just your patients or customers. KU is suppose to help everybody. Shame on you KU. I will never use KUSue Lepic

I attended college here for the psychology undergraduate program and business minor for a few years and had a good experience. The campus is nice but is a commuter school so there's not a lot a community among students. It's a good place to get your education but not much else. They have computer labs and a small snack shop on site.Aaron Anderson

My appointment for the drive up vaccine was for Monday at 1:00. I drove in and the people working were great. Because of it being inside I turned my motor off because of fumes. After the shot my car would not start for me to exit. I was so frustrated because I had just had the battery check last week. The workers kept very calm and kept reassuring me not to worry when I knew I was holding up the people behind me. They managed to get my car started and I was able to exit. I drove straight to the dealership and got a new battery. Again, I was already impressed with the workers . They went above and beyond the call of duty to get my car started and to reassure me and handle the situation. Everyone I know who have been able to get the vaccine have all had a positive experience and been impressed with how efficient the process has been. Thank you, Thank you Ann BradyAnna Loy

We just got our second Covid Vaccine and it was the Pfizer shot (no side effects yet after about 12 hrs) They were set up at the Wichita Library. Each time we went there were hundreds of people there getting their shots. The Sedgwick County Health Department was extremely organized! They had at least 75+ people giving the vaccine so we were finished with our shots within minutes! I thought it was great that they also had military’s medics giving shots too! You do have to wait after your shots for 20 min and 30 if you have allergies. The waiting room is huge and socially distanced areas were even more than 6ft. They had people walking around the waiting area to make sure everyone was ok. Great Experience and Excellent Job Sedgwick! T'Keyah William's is the most gifted professional I have ever met in my life. She made me feel more comfortable then I have ever felt going to the health clinic. She was very kind, courteous, she listened to me or any questions I had she took the time to explain. She never made me feel less then or disgusting or annoyed with me. She is absolutely amazing at what she does! She is most definitly one of a kind. I WISH EVERYONE IN HEALTH CARE WAS LIKE THIS WOMAN! Not impressed by this school, classes are still online when they really need to be in session especially to practice skills. Had non-stop issues. If the nurses don’t want to teach then you need to move along. Need instructors who care and want you to succeed and help you to improve. Teaching yourself is extremely difficult and not what I pay for, I pay for a service. The instructors don’t follow the schools values and missions. Disappointed to say the least. One of the worst customer service interactions. I was given a code from my school to purchase some materials. The code ‘malfunctioned’ according to APEA since the price was lower than what they charge normally. According to them and my school it was my fault the code I was given gave me a bigger discount. I politely responded stating as a business owner I would never track down a customer and harass/threaten them that unless I received the full price I will cancel their order. But my school stated it was my fault thus I have no choice to but pay whatever price or I will fail my class. As a disabled veteran I am deeply hurt of the result of this company and my school.Kimberly Stanfield

University of Kansas Medical Center (affectionately called “KU”) is the region’s major health care institution. It is a very busy hospital providing comprehensive and highly-specialized services. They are a go-to institution for complex medical needs including cancer and stem cell transplant. We predict that KU would continue to grow and gain stature nationally. By the way, there are some beautiful glass art displays in the hallways! Also, the cell phone connection is consistently poor inside the buildings and should addressed .Rakesh Goyal

I was recently a patient here and on the 6th floor in the med unit the nurses were so amazing they were very efficient and caring. The doctor "Doctor Brown" was so awesome he really knew his job and how to treat me ive never had a doctor ive felt so comfortable around I personally have mental illness and I dont feel comfortable in alot of situations I would recommend dr brown to anyone hes amaing at his job. Great job ku at putting your patient first. If I could give this hospital 10 i would.KRYSTAL YOUNG
