Review Summary
This place is more church than it is a university. Undergrads are required to earn an additional 18 units, 9 credits of Humanities & 9 credits of Religion, on top of your traditional 120 units for a Bachelors. As well as 14 hours of “convo” each semester (look it up). Every staff / faculty member who works here complains about there pay to anyone who will listen. Student advisors and counselors will try to impress upon you their administrative powers. Student Veterans: Both, as a Yellow Ribbon student and (at about 3/4 of the way thru) as a VocRehab (Ch.33) student, Ella from student accounts would withhold all my grants and loans until the government paid the tuition it owed on my behalf. This place is known for its vistas not their academics. You won’t build much of a portfolio to show employers just by going here. Students in the Arts programs here focused more on who to know rather then what to know. Very “Right Wing” policies. Good WiFi in the buildings, not so much outside.Timothy Mitchell
I got accepted to two schools but wanted to start with a summer course at Pepperdine to see how it goes. I enrolled in one class and before the class started I asked professor for the syllabus, and few additional questions. He emailed me he would gladly speak to me about the class I want to take and gave me the phone number to call. I am not a native speaker and I have an accent. When I called, he was very rude, asked me who I am, and then he said I got the wrong number and hanged up on me. I withdrew the class immediately to get my money back and I decided to go to different university instead, with better reputation. There are other better schools out there.Mila Rosey
I graduated from Pepperdine in 2006… Thanks to Pepperdine I've met people and gained the educational foundation to realize the maximum potential in my life! I've traveled the world (through the study abroad opportunities and my due to my career after graduating), met some of the coolest people ever, and got to live near the beach in Malibu! For an all-around A+ university, go to Pepperdine. You won't be sorry!Matthew Steffen

I've obtained my master's and in the final stages of completing my doctorate at Saybrook in the Mind Body Medicine program (now called Integrative health science, I believe). Attending this school has been a game changer for me personally and professionally. The caliber of people who attend the school are incredible and it opens ones professional networks and capacities for creative work. The school is well organized. The hybrid model of education, which entails residential academic retreats and online working and collaboration is in sync with the changing world of education. Education is a personal choice and if Saybrook's educational offerings are what you are interested in, I would highly recommend considering this school.Kari Allen-Hammer
I have been a Masteral Student in this school for the last 3 semesters and I totally love the experience. The faculty members are excellent, and the best and most respected in their field. Classmates are wonderful, scholarly, intelligent and hard working. Administration answers all queries within 24-48 hours. This school has changed my life for the better. I have just finished all my Masters degree requirements and I plan to continue in this school for my PhD.Robin Velasco
Edit: Over $100k for their Psychology PhD program… and not even APA accredited. I know APA is not required in some states but I I know of other non APA PhD programs that are literally half the cost of Saybrook’s. I like that they’re non profit, regionally accredited & offer some interesting programs but they are pretty expensive… you can get a Harvard masters degree for less than their masters programs..Josh Esc

Komi was a really great mentor throughout my grad school application process. From the start she nicely and firmly helped orient my expectations on how many schools I need to apply to, and what kinds of schools I could get into while looking at my GPA/GRE/Experience. Komi coached me through contacting professors, the writing process, and the interview process as well. I will say I am an avid redditor and the advice on there is great. But I can also confidently say that the advice Komi gave me set me a part from other applicants in a unique way. In addition to being extremely articulate and knowledgable, she is very calming and reassuring (which was helpful during this stressful process). I put in a lot of hard work into my application and I’m glad to have been guided by Komi and Accepted because I got into my top program!Rupsha Panda
Working with Alicia has been such a joy. As a nontraditional student coming from a business background, I was overwhelmed by the application process for post-bac programs. Alicia used a system that helped me tell my story in ways I never thought possible. I struggled to answer the why medicine question but Alicia helped me articulate what I wanted to say. Alicia not only helped me put together a stellar application, but she was also my cheerleader when I felt like giving up. Every time I look at my personal statement, application, and resume I can't believe they belong to me. Thank you Alicia, everyone going through any type of application cycle needs to have Alicia in their corner. This is one of the best investments I have made toward my medical education. Currently accepted to three post bac programsSheila Murungi
About a year ago I was overwhelmed and uncertain of where to begin my applications for Masters in Nursing and DNP. In research, I came across Accepted and was connected with Barry Rothman. Barry made the world a difference. He relieved the stress I was feeling and assisted me in coming up with a concrete plan.He took a process I was confused by and made it fun. He also gave me some tips on how to handle stress, meditation, which I have implemented into my daily life which will benefit me in school. Because of Accepted and Barry I confidently submitted applications to four schools and will be attending my top choice Columbia University this summer. I highly recommend working with Accepted- they are amazing!Melissa Pellizzari

Review Summary
I’ve been attending Dr. Truitt and her team’s Self-Healing in Your Hands workshops/events and following the YouTube channel (the amount of content on there is insane!) since the beginning of the pandemic. One of my good friends worked with Rebecca awhile back with awesome results and turned me onto their work. I’m continually astounded by how gracious Dr. Kate and her team are with basically giving away their content. I’m currently an out of work content creator (ugh Covid) but I know how much time and effort goes into each video they produce. I’m so grateful for their generosity! They’re truly fulfill their vision of empowering humanity to do their own healing. Dr. Kate is warm, kind, goofy, and fun and also brilliant. I keep coming back to their workshops because they are constantly evolving and expanding and they address the concerns of present day life in real time. They aren’t robot presenters nor content creators. Even Dr. Kate’s blogs on their website are like 6 pages long and full of self-help exercises. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a healthcare business be so prolific in helping people heal themselves. Thank you Dr. Kate, Rebecca, Megan, and crew for your incredible generosity and sharing your knowledge and wisdom with the masses. As you always say – a healthy, resilient, and healing humanity is happy humanity. You’re amazing.Suzanne Winters
Given the sensitivity of what was happening with my 11 year old daughter, I can not begin to convey my gratitude with the results and healing we achieved working with Dr Kate Truitt & Associates and specifically, Dr Justin Carter. I am convinced they are complete and total Earth Angels. We had a complex and sensitive issue with my daughter that was handled masterfully by 'Justin'. And I do mean Masterfully. Not only was he able to provide a comfortable atmosphere, he had a brilliant way of connecting with my daughter by creating a playful ease that allowed her the space to open up, feel comfortable to do the work and ultimately, heal! It was beautiful to witness ~ especially from me, a very worried Mom not knowing what to do or how to handle the situation. I can't imagine what this issue could have turned in to. Not only did Justin help my daughter work through a difficult issue, he taught us and gave us tools on 'havening' we can do at home. Thank you Dr Kate Truitt and Dr Justin Carter for all you have done for my daughter and our family. For helping and guiding us through a complex issue very simply. I just couldn't be more thankful.Kimmy Terrell
The process of this place is really solid. I was impressed that Dr. Truitt did an initial phone consult and the explicit idea of finding me a best fit for my problems. In the consultation she made it clear her goal was getting me the best care. I called about anxiety in my marriage and was surprised to find myself also talking about the fact that I struggle ED (and I don't mean an eating disorder). She was super easy to talk to. Towards the end of our call we discussed treatment options and she told me about her team members and also gave me other names of other local therapists who work with performance problems in the bedroom. I was really nervous about working with a woman but I kept coming back to how Dr. Truitt had talked about ED and anxiety and the tools her team uses. Eventually I made an appointment. Dr. Truitt was super solid in her assessment and professional in really trying to help and not just herd people into her facility. I highly recommend.Gregory B

From Dr. Peter Robbins, PhD
"Because of telemedicine, Dr. is now available to see new clients throughout California. Dr. Robbins is the Emergency Room Marital Therapist. What does that mean? Dr. Robbins specializes in bringing couples back from the brink of divorce. The type of therapy needed for those who are seriously considering divorce is very different from your typical marital therapy. It's direct. It's concise. It's active. Having worked with couples for over 40 years, he is well versed in the challenges of changing the course of a wayward marriage. As a financial advisor, he brings his expertise to these challenges as well."
Review Summary
Anger-filled. Defeated. Disconnected. Troubled. Toxic. Broken. Those are just some of the adjectives to describe how my marriage was before my husband and I saw Dr. Robbins. Needless to say, after dealing with the aftermath of cancer treatments + chemo, IVF, career changes, setbacks, and major curveballs thrown our way, my husband and I were on the brink of divorce. We were growing apart, we stopped communicating with each other in a healthy way, and we knew we desperately needed help from a skilled therapist. I quickly did my research and found Dr. Robbins. I immediately texted my husband Dr. Robbins’ information and mentioned we needed to book an appointment ASAP. Within a week of calling, we had our first appointment with Dr. Robbins. My husband and I were nervous (and, naturally, a bit embarrassed) to share about our struggles, but we left our first appointment with so much hope. Dr. Robbins put us at ease and reminded us that our struggles were fixable if we put in the work. He was on the side of marriage and provided us with the tools we needed to get back on track. I love that he used personal examples whenever he could, infused God + faith into our conversations, and set attainable goals for each of us + our marriage. Dr. Robbins is kind, empathetic, warm, and easy to talk to. My husband and I always felt like we were visiting with a compassionate friend or family member instead of a typical therapist. After approximately 10 sessions, I can wholeheartedly say my husband and I are more united than we ever have been in our almost 10 years of marriage. We are 100% in-tune with each other and have the tools we need to keep improving our marriage. Thanks to Dr. Robbins, we learned how to work through our issues instead of thinking divorce was our answer. Overall, my husband and I are so blessed to have met Dr. Robbins and to have received his valuable guidance + expertise. It’s safe to say he completely saved our marriage. If you’re desperate to improve or save your marriage too, I highly recommend Dr. Robbins. You won’t regret it!Kimberly Morrow
Be very careful in trusting Peter Robbins. From my two meetings with him, he appears to be very irrational and unprofessional. For example, he talked extensively about his own life and shared many sordid details about his childhood including, "his father punching his mother in the face in the middle of a restaurant on the day of their wedding". These comments were not relevant to the context of the issues my ex-wife and I were dealing with. My ex-wife and I trusted him to resolve normal martial communication issues, and Peter Robbins digressed into his own personal issues and projected them onto us. He also many other remarks that were sweeping generalizations based on his personal stereotypes. Im not sure if he was just exhausted, under the influence of chemical substances, apathetic, intentionally malicious, or just not very intelligent. He also made many other assumptions based his emotions and did not ask many relevant questions or seek to clarify facts. He did rather honestly admit, "Im not like other therapists, and I take sides." This approach may be valid, but only after one garners all the relevant facts instead of operating from a personal bias. I'm honestly astonished & dismayed he is allowed to practice as a licensed therapist. PS Im using my real name in this review, so please feel free to contact me if you need further details.Deep Mangat
I've been VERY impressed with Dr. Robbins and the way he was able to figure out what the real issues were in my relationships (in my case, with my teenage daughters) and offer really well-thought and impactful solutions. I had gone to another family therapist in the past who was frankly a waste of time. But Dr. Robbins is different in that he worked actively with me to figure out solutions. He's been in the business for quite a while, so he really knows his stuff and I'm sure he's seen every difficult relationship out there. In regards to my strained relationship with my teenage daughters, Dr. Robbins offered several wonderful techniques and suggestions to bring us back together (not an easy task with teenagers). If you're looking for a top-notch marriage and family counselor, who can tackle very serious family problems, and you've perhaps been frustrated with the sea of less-than impressive marriage & family therapists out there, then I recommend touching base with Dr. Robbins. He's been outstanding for me and my family, and his philosophies about life and relationships are just wonderful. Great teacher. Smart guy.Bob K

My Wife goes here and it is possibly the most frustrating thing for me to watch… This school is honestly a huge scam. I really dont know how else to put it. They will charge you INSANE amounts of money for these classes (well over 200K for the Masters program after interest) and you "professors" are in the PHD program. what is that? I am not saying that they have some legit teachers and a few students teaching, I am saying that nearly ALL of the teachers are students. Let me be very clear about this, the teachers are HORRIBLE. The faculty is HORRIBLE. We just found out today that they didn't report to my Wife's FedLoan for our students loans that she was still enrolled and taking classes. What this means is, now FedLoans thinks that we are no longer in school, and that our loan is no longer differed. When she emailed the school faculty, they said this was HER responsibility…. are you kidding me? so we pay 60K per year before taxes for you to have students teach classes for $10 an hour… NOT submit proper paperwork to FedLoans and have absolutely zero leadership at the helm… When my Wife attended a "town hall" meeting with the Dean of the CA campuses, she asked when all of the grandiose things that were promised in admissions would be taking place… such as observation rooms on campus, real life experiences etc etc, and what did the Dean tell her? he said "if you would like to see these things happen, than you should initiate them yourself and start them up yourself"…. really? THAT is your answer to the student that is paying TOP dollar to go to this school? oh, and we just found out today thru some super vague email, that the Dean stepped down…. Please, trust this frustrated husband, DO NOT go to this school… I am a smart person… seriously TRUST ME…Adam
(UPDATED after completing doctoral coursework) My experience has been outstanding. This is a five-star institution, through and through. After completing my PhD coursework here, I can say this school really did deliver on promises and I feel lucky to have been part of this program. Our classes have top notch professionals from Southern California and various major US cities who fly in for the executive format, on-ground business psychology doctoral program. Faculty have been top caliber for the area, coming from academia and professional practice. I leave classes inspired and energized. I entered with my MBA and 10 years in my field. This is a program for people with work experience. It is not for folks who want school directly from undergrad with an internship, although they accommodate that with various master's programs. This program has been one of the strongest positive forces for me life. I matured so much, professionally and psychologically. If I could go back in time to choose where to do my doctoral coursework, or whether to pursue doctoral studies at all, I would stay at Chicago School in LA to do it all the same way. The big question for me was whether to focus on research or practice, since I already had work experience and could decide how big of a pivot the doctorate would be. Students from this program go into academia and industry. This school is really big on diversity, service, community, and academics. I went to a big school for undergraduate work. Between all the different departments, people, and majors, it was easy to lose myself. Chicago School is focused, so here, it was easy to find myself.Benjamin Theisen
One of the best decisions I ever made in my academic career. Faculty members,at least most that I have met and had as professors, are educated, supportive, tense, and knowledgeable within their fields. Many of the professors own their private practices and work independently outside of the school. Students are challenged and they will not be baby because it will not work and they better hope to not get kicked out of here.Dominique Bryant-Freeland

Review Summary
I’ve only had one short experience in the past with therapy and it ended very badly. So, for a long time, I was very reluctant to try again. But the last few years have been very difficult especially as I was slowly losing to cancer the person that I loved the most. Grief has been and is still extremely painful to bear, so I’ve decided to give therapy another chance. So far, so (very) good! Indeed, I’ve only had 5 sessions with Dr. Ghukassian but I am already feeling a change for the better. What I like the most is that we are having conversations. It is not just a one-way street where I talk and Dr. Ghukassian listen and nods. No. Even though (of course), I am talking more than him, listening to his own experiences, getting his feedback, and advices is most valuable to me. It puts me at ease and starts to break my fear about therapy. Well wait… I almost forgot to mention something else I appreciate deeply: his sense of humor! And coming from me… Therefore, I am very much looking forward to having more sessions with Dr. G 🙂Stephanie Batailler
Dr. Ghukassian is an amazing therapist. He has empathy, is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and a great motivational person that guides you in the right direction. Always directs me to take care of myself and do what I enjoy most in making me happy. Is very enthusiastic and gives great examples to help me to focus on the positive. After our therapy session, I feel relieved and happy knowing what I feel is real and directs my thought process in the right direction. I would highly recommend him because he has changed my thought process, relationships with my husband, children and not to mention my work experiences with my bosses and co-workers. He is amazing! He has changed my way of thinking and helped me with emotional intelligence. Great therapist! So glad for my friend recommending me to him.Lourdes Hernandez
I have been consistently going to therapy for 3 years leading up to the events due to covid. I had to stop therapy for 2 years to focus and adjust on survival. Even though things started getting better, it was getting harder for me to cope and I knew had to get into therapy again. That's when I got in touch with Dr. Ghukassian. I was skeptical of doing telehealth (over the phone) rather than doing in person meetings but they have proven to be just as beneficial for my mental health. Getting back into therapy was one of the most important things I could do for myself. Just having someone I can talk to about issues that helps identify how you should approach it has been a huge help in my life. Do not hesitate to call because Dr. Ghukassian is an easy person to talk to and he's just a phone call away.Kyle Bowman

I’m in a very hard time in my life dealing with my brother overdosing I wanted to find a good place for him to stay at to recover from his addiction and mental health. I've called multiple places and no one seems to care or want to help unless it has to do with money. Thankfully I ran in to Sarah pannell you could tell she loved her job and helping people she was what I needed at this moment in my life she went above and beyond to help me find a place for him. Unfortunately they did not accept medical but that did not stop her from going out of her way and helping me find a place for my brother. She is an angel she is what this world needs if your reading this thank you again words cannot describe how I feel you gave me a sense of direction while others turned away. When you guys start accept medical I will 100% be taking my brother here.anthony rodriguez
I was really struggling after the death of my Mom. My addiction and mental stability deteriorated. I relapsed and was spiraling out of control. I completed a residential program and needed to follow up my treatment with an Intensive Outpatient Program if I planned on having any real success at maintaining my recovery and staying sober. Roots through Recovery has a fresh innovative approach to addressing addiction and mental health issues. They are a breath of fresh air in the community. The facility is clean, the staff is professional and will pay special attention to your individual needs. I love this place, I honestly know that I would not be sober today if I hadn’t picked up the phone and called Roots. I’m able to be the wife, mother and grandmother that my family deserves. I will forever be grateful to this program.Rita Gomez
I’m a physical therapist that has been collaborating with Roots Through Recovery and I have to say the care they have for their patients is amazing. They saw a need for their patients experiencing chronic pain and brought me on board to work with them. All the clients I have seen in collaboration with them have said nothing but great things about their experience. They always tell me it’s the first time they really feel they are getting help and learning knowledge and skills that improve their independence in recovery. The collaborations with their therapists and staff have been amazing. I really feel the patients I see for chronic pain get the interdisciplinary care they need to get better, because they are finally having their bodies, minds, and life hardships addressed holistically.Michael Aquino

Review Summary
I’ve been working with Dr Jessica Cho and her team for the past couple months and I’m so impressed. They’re the perfect combination of professional and compassionate. Everything is personalized to get you feeling your best. When I first arrived in her office I had felt unsupported and dismissed by previous doctors as I tried to navigate health issues and weight loss. With Dr Cho I quickly knew I was in good hands and am now feeling the best I’ve felt (and looked) in ages.Cassidy Bernhard
I fInally have found a physician who truly wants to get to the core of my wellness! Dr. Cho is so incredibly approachable and empathetic to what is going on with you and I especially love her Eastern meets Western approach. Within my first visit, I already feel like she genuinely wants to help you achieve your “best self” and I look forward to taking this long overdue journey with her! Her staff is also so kind and friendly which is a total bonus!Michele Mcpeak
Dr. Cho is amazing. It’s surprising and refreshing to have a physician listen to your concerns in an unhurried way. Dr. Cho has the knowledge and expertise to be able to literally finish your sentences when you’re explaining a condition or symptoms of a condition you are experiencing. I wish all professionals took their craft to this level. I recommend her highly and often.Donald Taylor

Dr. Blair has helped me to identify my feelings and made it ok for me to acknowledge them and seek acknowledgement for them from others. He has helped me define my relationships with my family, and made it OK for me to accept only love and respect from those around me. I am grateful to have him in my life and I am grateful for having the strength to be who I am today. Highly recommend Trauma and Beyond Center for any family in need!Arnold Doyle
TAB changed my LIFE. I was suffering from Psychogenic Non Epileptic Seizures for 2 years before I came to TAB. Not only did we resolve what was causing them but we worked through years and years of complex PTSD, depression and anxiety. This place is nothing short of a Godsend. They advocate with you and for you. The therapists are some of the most spectacular people you can meet who are so seasoned and educated. It's nothing short of a safe place for healing. This place truly looks out for your whole well being. It's not about the money for them unlike other places, they genuinely want to help process your trauma.Caitlin Brands
I was referred to this clinic by a good friend of mine, that I wish to leave anonymous. However, I wish to leave them a review on behalf of her experience. I've heard nothing but great things about the ladies at Trauma Center, Drs. Joanne and Friedman. I have witnessed her manifest into this uplifting individual, it's been a rewarding feeling seeing this transition over time. I highly recommend if it's for yourself or a loved one to seek help. I trust the team at Trauma Center, and I encourage you to take that leap if you're currently encountering any trauma or mental health treatment.Kristin Manner

Review Summary
This will be a rather lengthy review but long story short it's a waste of money. Disclaimer: I was kicked out due to excessive absences. Take that as you will, this was back in October and I've waited to post this so I don't come off as a sore loser who is just mad about being kicked out. First thing is I had about 8 acting teachers and I respected only two of them. Bob Lipton to date has been hands down the best acting coach/teacher I've ever seen even against coaches and teachers from other schools. The other 6 were garbage to say the least. Had super ego issues that reeked of "since I didn't become a famous actor i don't want to see anyone else become one and they should never question my methods." Almost got into a physical confrontation with Mark Ivan who I backed off from because I didn't want to go jail. I have a short temper, but I manage to keep nothing more than words 99% of the time but this guy was ready to fight. I could see the look in his eyes. All of the class saw it and was shocked. He was among the worst. Paying 30,000 for a year… listen, if you're fortunate not to have to have a special visa to be in the US please please please go to local acting classes. The only advantage this school has is that they take you to the backlots on Universal to work. If you can afford to just blow 30k to do that, than this place is for you. Another thing I noticed and I have nothing against actors/actresses from other countries many foreign movies stars are my favs, but a good majority of the ones who went here just seemed like they wanted to come to the U.S. to party and didn't really have any ambition on pursuing the industry as a passion. Two of them I knew even admitted they were more interested in psychology and for some odd reason thought acting would help them in that field. I can't say whether or not that's valid, but what I can say it seemed they were almost always out partying and not focusing on their work. Now I have been going through some serious personal issues that caused me to miss quite a bit of class so one could make the case that I'm not the one to speak about that to which I would respond, rather simply, fair enough. But I feel I can say this and the school had told me I couldn't miss as many classes as I did the first semester in the second which I didn't plan on. Little did I know they kicked me out because of low GPA which they should have known about when I was told during the first semester I was put on academic probation for missing too many classes. Well, you can't really go back in time and make up acting in films that have already been shot. So my grades were obviously going to be bad. So to me, I wasn't really given a true second chance. Either way, before they even told me about this, I was already upset with school because I didn't feel like it was worth the money I was paying. Another thing I did not like is the fact they taught you editing. You can go around all day and say it's good to know editing but I'm not paying you to teach me how to edit, I'm paying you to teach me how improve my acting techniques. They had additional classes such as stage combat and meisner that would have been much more helpful but you couldn't take those classes because you'd have to miss your primary classes if you wanted to. So you'd either have to wait a semester(six months) and just get lucky that your classes wouldn't fall on the same day and time the side classes were or you were SOL. Well, I hold no ill against NYFA. I chose to go there when many other seasoned actors and directors I knew told me not to waste my money and I refused to research into it, but before you decide to either commit to a student loan or fork out cash, please do your research on this school to see if it's right for you and ask for a list of all the acting teachers so you can look into them as well. If you're a true passionate artist who loves acting, you'll save yourself a lot of time, resources, and money and if you haven't figured it out yet because you're not familiar with Los Angeles, you'll need it.Campbell Sadeghy
I recently enrolled at NYFA in La. The entire staff is amazing. The environment is very friendly and comfortable. The enrollment /registration process was extremely organized. I had the opportunity to work with Eric, he was my enrollment Counclor; he didn’t miss a beat. I relocated from Illinois to attend NYFA, Eric assisted me throughout the entire process. The other staff members were just as helpful from the moment entered the campus. The instructors are all working actors, and very knowledgeable about the industry. I’m sorry to hear about the other students bad experiences, however I believe that everything is what you make of it. I’m here to learn and I’m confident that NYFA is the best place to learn my craft.Casie H
Don’t even go there. They’re just a money making business who accepts everyone so they can make money off of them. Don’t fall for they’re perfect school stuff. I applied there as a senior and then they told me in the acceptance letter that I had to give proof that I graduated high school if I didn’t already then when I confronted them after declining. they made up an excuse and said it was confusion in grades but that couldn’t have happened because they knew the year I was gonna graduate.and tried to suck me back in so I was basically lied to twice from my point of view.Don’t even apply there or go there at all. It not worth it and some other college would be better.Astro_Avenger_YT

"Relationship communication specialist"
Review Summary
She's worked wonders in marriage counseling. It's the ideal and necessary combo of tough, honest, patient, and understanding. She'll challenge you, but not unnecessarily; and while she's objective, it's not to the point of madness. For example, many people think of therapy as a lot of "What do you think?" and "How do you feel?" Don't get me wrong–those questions are asked–but you're not left figuring out the fallout of your thoughts and feelings on your own. She conveys valid & helpful suggestions, thoughts, and solutions that seriously improved the communication and conflict resolution in my marriage. I still struggle with some bad habits as we all do. She's been able to help me identify them in a way that isn't accusatory but challenges me to "do better" for the sake of my marriage. I've seen the 180 first-hand in both my husband and myself. We've learned to respectfully communicate disagreement and concerns. We've learned better ways to acknowledge and accept what the other is going through. We genuinely care about the well-being of our marriage without forsaking what we need as individuals. I believe we'd only come this far this quickly with Kathryn's guidance. I know every couple can benefit from marriage counseling but picking a therapist who is passionate and genuine about helping you meet your relationship goals is so important. I'd recommend her over and over and am so grateful for her guidance throughout this process.Alexandra Sebok
Simply put, Kathryn is truly a Godsend! Over the nearly two years I've been working with Kathryn she has brought to light patterns in my behavior and thinking that have helped me transform how I view life's challenges and helped me shed years of self-doubt to bring clarity into my life. The very best part of Kathryn is her ability to cut through the muck and get to the center of the issues. While some therapists allow you to skirt around your problems, Kathryn skillfully draws your attention to the "elephant in the room" and carefully leads you through your challenges so that you can move beyond them and heal. In the process of healing, I have found freedom from past and present hurt, and the freeing forgiveness that comes with it. When you're ready to do the work necessary to heal and live the life you're meant to lead, you will find the support and guidance you are seeking with Kathryn Tull, Psy.D., LMFT.Kitty Jackson
I went in to see Kathryn after going through some marital problems with my husband. Kathryn allowed me to process what was happening and also provided me with wonderful feedback. She made me think about me for once and how much I do and that I should not let others bully me anymore. Kathryn provided me with great techniques I could use when I am becoming upset or when I just need to calm myself when I am beginning to feel anxious. I would recommend Kathryn to anyone who is looking for a therapist who shows compassion and genuinely wants to help you any way she could.Lisa N

I highly recommend Dr. Lee as a colleague and a resource. She is highly specialized in her area of focus and is a strong advocate for others to reach their full potential. I have referred clients to her and colleagues to her with good feedback. Aside from working with clients, she is passionate about mentoring and coaching early career licensed mental health professionals. As a colleague, I have asked Dr. Lee for clinical resources and she has always provided excellent recommendations. In addition to being knowledgeable and experienced, she is dedicated to educating the public about mental health issues through her speaking engagements, presentations at conferences and serving on various boards of directors in organizations that promote mental health and disability awareness, and the advancement of program development/ services. She is a valued, wonderful resource for professionals and clients alike.Michelle Emanuel Helmer

I've known Dr. Crystal I. Lee for several years. I sought out her expertise when I was looking for a conference speaker who could talk to parents interested in understanding college readiness. Dr. Lee understands the concept of "Emerging Adulthood" and speaks to this with empathy and helpful advice. Since that time, I have had the good fortune to work with her to bring additional information and tips to parents to help them feel empowered to help their young adult move into independence. And I read the posts she writes so that I can share them with families. Dr. Lee is a professional who is dedicated to helping others.LD Advisory

Review Summary
Dr. Gharibian is a true med-legal practitioner specializing in Neuropsych and is not limited to only an understanding of the medicine. I manage a statewide personal injury practice and had the distinct honor of having Dr. Gharibian serve as an expert on a recent traumatic brain injury claim. He possess an understanding of all issues surrounding a traumatic brain injury ranging from simple cognitive issues and stretching all the way to the biomechanics of the incident at hand. He really offers a wealth of knowledge and takes the time to educate you (as the attorney) and gives you a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses (clinically) or your claim. Beyond his expertise in the field, you don’t feel rushed and he takes the time to really understand the claim, your client and the subject condition. Aggressive but realistic. Charismatic, knowledgeable and great bedside manner (when dealing with our client both telephonically and in person). There is a difference between arrogant confidence and professionalism in your confidence and he’s certainly the latter. This is a problem I usually face with some of the older Neuro experts we’ve used in the past and that carries over, at times, to a jury trial. Doesn’t get rattled, always patient with his responses to x-exam and knows the science and sticks to it. He did help change the course of the claim and we reached a favorable policy limit settlement. Both our office and our client are grateful for his involvement. Will recommend in the future and use him on more claims.Alex Mngmt
I contacted Dr. Gharibian because I needed academic accommodations on the Bar exam. Prior to booking the appointment, he provided me with a detailed explanation of how the process works and made sure I was a good candidate for accommodations. He spent close to 30 minutes on the phone with me answering all of my questions! I had waited until the last minute to find someone and I had to turn in my report within a week. He was very flexible with his scheduling and was able to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment. The evaluation went smoothly and he got me my report back to me within two days and I was able to meet the deadline. Thanks to his evaluation and report, I was able to get the 50% extra time and semi-private testing room I so desperately needed. I’d highly recommend Dr. Gharibian if you’re looking to get academic accommodations on the Bar exam. He was very friendly and easy to talk to, responsive to emails and text messages, and did an extremely thorough evaluation.Anna H
I contacted Dr. Gharibian to perform a psychological assessment for a client in the context of a criminal case. I located his information on the internet. Before the assessment Dr. Gharibian and I spoke on the telephone several times about the client and what was required for the assessment. I found Dr. Gharibian to be a great asset for my legal representation and the client's needs. He was intelligent, knowledgeable, helpful, concerned, and very accommodating for the legal case. His assessment was professional, comprehensive, helpful, detailed, and overall terrific. The report he authored (that was submitted to the court) was clear, dynamic, and complete. I am confident the court will follow his well-reasoned recommendations and provide a basis for the client to get into a program that will benefit the client and the legal proceeding. I would recommend his services without reservation, and both my client and I are pleased and grateful for his professional work.D Goldman

Review Summary
We were given a strong recommendation to send our 4 year old girl to Pediatric Minds to treat anxiety which started to inhibit her ability to make friends, talk to others, and even take naps at preschool. Despite a long wait list into the program, our girl was fast approaching Kindergarten and we knew that the longer we waited, the worse things could develop. What we thought was simply a shy personality had morphed into clinginess, frequent tantrums, and defiance. As parents, we were worried about her well-being and her little brother's safety. Once we were accepted and informed that a spot was available for our daughter, we were ready for the commitment. The ECTC program not only pours out resources into their children, it also requires quite commitment from the families–to keep up with homework, strategies, and meetings. They will repeatedly remind you that this is an intensive program, and everybody must be all-in. So we changed our daughter's school schedule and modified our home & work routines to make this work… and it was completely worth it. How good was it? Our girl loved attending the program from day 1. We loved her teachers and the staff who were caring and knowledgeable while being funny and fun. In terms of treatment, they were honest to us and we took to heart what they suggested. The first couple weeks in the program are used to build a trusting relationship before they push and test and observe starting around week 3. That's when we started getting more feedback regarding our girl's battles. Through one-on-one activities as well as group interactions, they deliberately worked through various situations and shared their results with us. Occasionally, they realized that their initial assumptions were wrong and had to rework their theories (e.g. our girl wouldn't always get nervous or shut down in similar circumstances). But usually they were pretty accurate in their description of our girl's struggles, and they were open to hearing about the impact to our home life (and they asked for it). Around week 7, we were heartbroken when we were told that our insurance was stopping coverage. And we were willing to pay out-of-pocket for an additional week or two because we felt we had made so much progress and needed more answers and tools to feel complete. But fortunately, the director was able to get our insurance to give us 10 weeks, at which time we celebrated a big accomplishment with our girl who had shown tremendous improvement. Today, I'm reviewing 10 weeks after she graduated from the program. She's not "fixed" and we're not expert parents by any means. But we're equipped. Our girl still wrestles with anxiety and is taking medication, but we are able to create plans and goals for various settings which gives us confidence to do family activities that weren't previously possible. In the past 2 months, we've been able to do playdates again and our girl even successfully walked down the aisle as a wedding flower girl! She was so proud of herself, and a big credit goes to ECTC. By the way, our girl started napping in preschool again.Alex Yeun
My advice on Pediatric Minds ECTC program: Enroll now! And don't look back. My Son is 3 years old and he has Autism. He graduated from the ECTC Program today and I am a proud parent for the accomplishments he has achieved from the short time he has been with them. He started in July this year with ECTC and has grown exponentially, socially and mentally. I'm not going to get into what specifically they worked on with my son because every kid is different. What I will say is that the tools, resources, and advices they have given us is more valuable than any other provider has given us thus far. It was an honor working with them and we are truly humbled by their team and the help they have given my son. I would do it a hundred times over if I could. Please take advantage when the opportunity arises to get into this program. Here's my story. When I found out that my son was showing signs of Autism more than a year ago, I was lost and didn't know what to do or how to help him. During that time, I dealt with border line denial of my son's diagnosis. I went through countless evaluations, trial and error with therapies and providers, and running into issues where I lacked confidence in some of their methodologies. I questioned everything that I was seeing and everything that I was hearing. It was almost as if I felt I had an inside voice that was telling me something is missing. Call it mothers intuition I guess. Yet, I still had to try to do everything I could possibly do and get because time is of the essence and my son needed help. It was only until I heard about this ECTC program in Torrance through our Lawyer, who is an advocate for disabled persons, guided me to programs like ECTC that will provide an in-depth holistic approach to helping children like my son. And oh boy! My Lawyer proved why she was getting paid the big bucks. This is a 10 week program (depending on your insurance). You can expect 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, weekly virtual meetings with the psychologist/lead ABA supervisor, and weekly virtual/in-person parent observations. Through this program you'll get parent strategies, assessments/reports, diagnoses, referrals, any recommended testing like EEG and Genetic tests, and the list goes on. All in all, I am walking away with the proper tools and valuable resources, and I'm walking away with confidence in the knowledge they have given me to help my son. This was truly a humbling experience for me and for our family. I learned so much. Thank you to Pediatric Minds for existing and for helping children like my son.E.L. Joan
If you’re looking for a place to enroll your neurodivergent kid, look no further. My 3.5 year old son attended Pediateic Minds for about 12 weeks in the summer of 2022 and emerged a completely different kiddo. Leaving the school, he came away with so many different life skills that will help him navigate the world and help him be more successful at a mainstream school. He was also mostly non verbal when he started – and before he left he had a burst of language that I attribute completely to PM. I cannot thank them enough for all the kindness they showed my son and our family, especially while we welcomed a new baby into the family. Not only did they help us while he was enrolled, they helped us set up a plan for the future. I’m so appreciative of everything PM has done for us. The teachers, doctors, and administrators are all truly top notch.Chelsea Schreiber

Dr. V! I could say so much about Dr. V. It's rare that you meet someone who legitimately cares so much about the people they work with. And someone who knows so much about their field. My experience with neurofeedback with Dr. V has been a great one. I had never heard of biofeedback or neurofeedback before meeting her, but after the time I've spent in her Pasadena office I've crossed paths for at least a moment with so many other people who she has helped SO much in their time with her. People from all over Los Angeles and I think even outside Southern California. I recommend her without a shadow of a doubt, I say for sure come see her, get the free consult and at least hear her perspective. I HIGHLY doubt there is anyone more qualified or caring in this field. Much love to everyone reading this and good luckOrion Lopez

Review Summary
UPDATE 11/1/22: I'm so very grateful to Dr. Manish Aghi of UCSF for removing the pituitary adenoma that Dr. Kelly and every doctor in LA missed. This is why it is important to evaluate your physician as you are being evaluated. I think Dr. Kelly is a solid surgeon but his disbelief in Episodic Cushing's creates blinders. I am less than two months post op, pain free, feel incredible, the lip of my little hump is gone and the hump itself is disappearing, Supraclavicular filling is not gone yet but the calm that I feel is palpable. We're not all textbook cases. My weight gain isn’t normal; it has nothing to do with my diet/exercise. Nothing changed in my lifestyle to cause weight gain in the first place. I wasn’t born with a humpback and two fat mounds above either clavicle either. Furthermore, I had a past experience with adenomas on another gland that gave me a great understanding of how my body reacts to them. On that occasion too, my serology did not indicate my condition despite symptoms which is why when I made my inquiry with Dr. Kelly’s office, I was conscious to share that info. I’ve no doubt about Dr. Kelly’s expertise as a surgeon but I wouldn’t recommend his NP, Amy and endocrine MD, Dr. Rettinger. I’d already seen Dr. Rettinger for the first time in March via telemedicine to be evaluated for Cushing’s. Unfortunately, amongst other issues, it turned into her trying to convince me to try Jardiance for weight loss (I’m not diabetic, nor did I visit her for weight loss). At our second telemedicine appt, she broached the subject again. Once more, I declined. Thereafter, I wouldn’t see her, so you can imagine my feelings when Dr. Kelly wanted her on board. My opinion of NP Amy was already scarred by the fact that she had anything to do with UCLA endocrine. I’ve had 2 endocrine misdiagnosis from UCLA but I still gave her the benefit. Unfortunately, my bias was reinforced. I think your first discussion should be with the MD, then with the NP, under the MD’s guidance. NP Amy advised me that nothing was seen on my MRI. I wondered how a Neuroradiologist could see 2 lesions consistent with pituitary adenomas but they could see none. NP Amy advised that sometimes radiologists “over read.” I asked NP Amy on multiple occasions who at Dr. Kelly’s office read my imaging. She wouldn’t answer. During my initial contact with Dr. Kelly’s office, Amy advised me that my MRI should have been done with dynamics and I need to have an MRI performed with dynamics. She emailed me the order. However, the initial report shows my MRI was performed with dynamics. I contacted the Neuroradiologist who confirmed it was performed with dynamics. There are nuances more familiar to an MD that NPs may miss. The MD who correctly diagnosed and treated my last endocrine issue, explained that the NP who misdiagnosed, was using the lab range incorrectly. That’s what I mean by nuances. Post lab testing, I expected a follow up appt with Dr. Kelly. NP Amy instead advised that my tests don’t indicate Cushing’s and left it at that. I requested Dr. Kelly’s final notes. NP Amy told me to get them off of MyChart. There were no final notes there. I asked twice more, Amy and another staff, Natascha, repeatedly emailed notes from my initial visit. Recently my PCP advised me he never received any notes whatsoever from Dr. Kelly. I said nothing; the behavior speaks for itself. It’s noted in my records, patient “…believes she has a buffalo hump.” I emailed NP Amy to protest that sexist note. I don’t BELIEVE. I KNOW I am developing a hump. When your family, friends, notice physical changes dramatically different from your norm, before you do, they’re real. I’d seen this language in my records with a past MD who misdiagnosed me; my symptoms were described as “perceived,” “subjective.” Had I heeded the doubts of those physicians, I’d be dead. Hope this review saves the next patient from wasted time. Wasted time = more time suffering with this disease. 2/28/22 called twice to respond. No calls returned. .Bismark Avenue
I have had trouble breathing for as long as I can remember. I finally couldn't take it and without knowing much consulted PNI. I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Mehdizadeh work with my nose as I learned that I had a severely deviated septum. Dr Mehdizadeh was amazing throughout the whole procedure which had many roadblocks from expiring insurance to an ulcer in my nose holding back the surgery. Not only is Dr. Mehdizadeh a skilled surgeon, but he is also extremely informative and compassionate with his patients. A few months after my surgery and some check ups not only has my breathing been a lot better but I also do not get the long duration runny noses that I used to.Peter Cross
Dr Kelly is truly a blessing, both as a surgeon and with his bedside manner. He recently operated on my wife's lower cranial meningioma. We had met with all of the major Drs who could've done this surgery, and we chose Dr Kelly. He held our hand throughout the entire process and really emphasized the balance between medical safety and quality of life. The outcome was far better than what we could've imagined and Dr Kelly was consistent and comforting throughout. He's truly a life saver and we are forever indebted to him.Seth Wunder
