Today, I feel compelled to write about the wonderful place where I work, Cape Fear Community College. This is my third year here and quite honestly, it is by far, my favorite place of employment. The grounds at CFCC are beautiful, the students are fantastic, and the culture is what makes it truly special. That starts with our President, Mr. Jim Morton who exemplifies our vision: Building a future oriented, world class workforce and a community of lifelong-learners in partnership with regional businesses and agencies. Our students benefit from an excellent education, enhanced student life and a vast opportunity for employment and college transfer studies. I don’t even know where to begin with this place. First of all if you are considering going here you need to run in the opposite direction. I moved here from out of state and gave this institution 10,000 of my dollars just to be disrespected and ridiculed by the faculty and staff. My high school teachers were more competent and respectful than anyone here. The school is run down and smells like mildew other than the main building they use to advertise this place. I did not learn one single thing the entire time I was here and let it be known that I am now graduating to be a medical professional so I was not the problem. Be careful if using MYCAA to pay for classes, regardless of whether or not you submit on your end on time. If the school doesn't submit it on time on their end (as in my case) you'll receive a dozen and a half reminders that tuition is due (the school doesn't handle MYCAA and the funds get sent to the student to then pass on to the school and if it's not paid by "x" date at "x" time classes are dropped. Had I of known this, I would have applied for schooling elsewhere. Waste of time. Not everyone wants or needs to use FAFSA………Courtney Myszewski

No a good place to take a home inspector class you have 60 hours to read a huge book, and triton college push you to get brand new book but all the material they show you is from 1900, therefore the teacher encourage you to just read the book because their old material doesn't Match with the new book, nothing is updated. Plus If you miss 1 point on your exam you lose the whole course and have to do it again because they don't give you another chance to take another test even for one point and expected to pay all again.so you waste your time,your money..and all over it the instructor says that if English is not your first language you are in the wrong place and makes comments all the time about people's accents. Clean, friendly, cool school. I was in the A building, the lady in room A126 was VERY nice and quiet since it was a testing room. They even have FREE feminine products in restrooms for women. I asked about future classes and the lady who helped me initially was VERY pleasant and turned her computer screen around to show me how to navigate the schools website!! I attended this institution and it was the first time I felt like paying for education was actually “education”. The learning signature at Ensign College is amazing, it’s not “engaged” learning, it’s immersive learning. They actually prepare you with soft skills and real world experience and problem solving abilities that make you an asset day one on any new job. President Kusch (the president of Ensign College) is a Master at this learning signature and has a Ted-Talk on how school should be like the world field, a place where you actually are prepared to deliver value immediately. The spirit is amazing at Ensign College because the culture is one of kindness and love but also high expectations and accountability. There’s a natural feeling of “I want to become someone better” when you walk into the doors of the building. I always tell everyone that it’s the first time in 4 years of college I felt I didn’t waste a penny on tuition because of the value I got. I came to Utah as an 18 year old knowing nothing about what I wanted to do with my adult life. Most of my college career I knew Ensign as LDSBC, this is my last semester at the college. I have had the chance to grow spiritually, and mentally. The price is unbeatable from anywhere else, I have loans of about $20k while many of my friends at the U are $50-70k behind in loans from their bachelors degrees which proves that Ensign is a great price. I did a paralegal studies certificate and found that I will be able to make significantly more than my peers at the U at my first college graduate job. While I will not be working as a paralegal, (I’ll be working at a small business instead), I have my degree to fall back on if I lose my job in the future. Great Cybersecurity and CS classes, taught by professionals in the field with real experience. I went from being laid off from my construction job to landing a Java developer position within a little over a year – teachers like Jeff Light provide an environment where a lot is expected but a lot is provided as well. The school its self is also great. you can tell it's been newly renovated, with fancy shmancy checkouts in the outpost (cafe on the first floor), useful two floor library with private study rooms, and a really friendly school culture. not to mention having trax right next door gives quick access to the gateway and city creek for lunch / dinner. Southern Utah University is alright. I enjoyed my time in class and had excellent professors. The president of the school was also outstanding and was a good support while I have attended here. The repository is super cool as well as the other facilities. The school sponsors some pretty neat guest speakers and artists. They also have a wonderfully cheap study abroad program which has been amazing for me and my husband. Other opportunities have been readily accessible like internships, volunteer opportunities, research opportunities and it isn’t hard to get into good programs. The professors care and want you to succeed which is amazing. All of my professors know me by name and are constantly helping me prepare for grad school. The campus is beautiful and tuition is inexpensive however there were a few things I didn’t love. Student services were awful, I usually had to go to several offices before I could get anything done. The library hours were a little pathetic on the weekends, as well as the testing center especially for someone who doesn’t have access to a computer or WiFi at home.The culture on campus wasn’t my favorite, I hated going to school some days because my beliefs were disrespected quite often. I’ve had people ask if the reason why Mormons are so depressed was because we can’t face the fact that God isn’t real, And I’ve listened to several rants about how blind and passive Mormons are, just to name a few examples. It’s a great school with awesome opportunities! Just be prepared to face a few challenges if you believe in God or have a different political view than others. Other than that I would highly recommend suu, it has been a fun few years and it is a great location for the outdoors.Jenni Horner

Southern Utah University has been a fantastic place for our children to receive a great education. It is a vastly underrated university, with tremendous opportunities for excellent students. Our children who have gone here have qualified for larger schools, even with scholarships, but have opted for Southern Utah University because of its proximity to national parks, providing world-class recreation, and because of the value for the cost of education: it's a world class education. For instance, more students place at the University of Utah Medical School from SUU than from the U of U itself! My kids have loved student life at SUU, and have found an excellent social, academic, athletic, and nourishing environment.Sean Kirkby

I had a great experience at SUU! I loved the smaller class sizes, personal attention from professors, and how caring the school was! I could tell that the school really cared about me as an individual and there were MANY resources that helped me with any problems I was facing. I really appreciated having the ACES program/First-Year Experience Office, the First-Generation Office, and the Center for Diversity and Inclusion. Each office assigned me an individual who was there to answer all my questions and pointed me in the right direction for resources. These offices helped guide me my first couple years, and even checked up on me through the rest of my college experience.Kamilla Edwards

This really is a good school. It's really cheap and the acceptance rate is 100%, but I don't feel like that's reflected in it's performance. The environment is really nice, and it doesn't feel like a local community college. The programs and teachers are good, and the Holland library has everything you need. The HPC building has literally everything you could dream of for a gym, and it's free for all full time students. I'd really recommend coming here, as I don't think I've ever met anyone here with student dept. It's seriously a good school.Jaymii Bonadurer

The Queen Tribute Band ❤️ was great fun! I wish we could of heard the words of the songs better.Every one was dancing in front of their seats & singing along. One of the Best Concerts I've been to. The lead singer was a bit distracting because he was not dressed at all like Freddy Mercy.Even wearing a white tank top & jeans would have been a bit truer to the character .Like what Freddy wore a the Live Aid Concert. I enjoyed attending Dixie College years ago. However, I now do not like living nearby. The campus police is a joke with the females involved w male students and vise versa. The neighbors now are forced to tolerate loud dances past midnight with booming music and the children can’t sleep. Our cars get broken into regularly and overall vandalism and theft has greatly increased. The students are running the madhouse it has become and it appears there is no clear leadership.Tiffany Sargis

School here is nice and if you need something cheap, but UVU reinforces the comment that "University education is becoming less valuable." Half my professors were either teaching here their first time, didn't speak English, or had no expertise in their subject. I passed 2 years of credits by watching videos and drawing pictures during class: not because I'm smart, but because there was no content. Like in high school, many of the professors have 30% percent of their grade centered around attendance. Not participation, but attendance. So yes, I ignored class because everything I needed for an A was provided online. I'm typing this now during Philosophy class, and I am not missing anything. Books are hardly ever used but are "required" according to the professors. They gather dust on my shelf. Most problems here need to be fixed across the nation not just UVU, but I am a very frustrated student in my twenties because I don't know where my money is going. Teachers aren't happy with pay and all have second jobs. The building and resources are really really nice but I rarely need to use them since the internet was invented. UVU in general education has the same quality as Khan Academy except here, there is a physical address they want you to come to. There is a good range of food options but mostly crowded into the same building. Parking is ridiculous and there is no reason to pay $90 a year for the clustered insanity that the school created. Use the darn money to hire a civil engineer for God's sake. Once you pass general education and focus in to better classes, the rooms get nicer and the teaching quality doubles. Don't come here if you're not willing to graduate. Location is fine other than the city planning on the busiest road outside. If you're coming from the south east your drive will be dangerous, traffic is terrible and construction has been in effect for 4 years now. Very annoying. Train station is very convenient and is likely your best choice if you have a transportation method to your nearest station. Students who work feel punished because rent in the area is high, and pay low. Scholarships are handed to those without jobs first, those who aren't working for rent and tuition are the ones handed money from the school. Afternoon/Night classes are poor in options and schedule so working at a volatile job is ever more of a punishment. (Data from a few friends and strangers) Many activities, but the activities most advertised in my buildings were focused for helping women, about guest speakers, for the LGBT community, or cost $15. So I've never been to one, though free lectures and speeches are common. Overall, UVU focuses on medium-to-low education and welcoming everyone with open arms. But once you're here, you may want to transfer to BYU or drop out entirely.Isaac Benge

Coming here was the best decision I have ever made. Every single professor cares about my learning and the fact that the average class size is 23 (I’ve never had a class over 25) makes it so my teachers know me, know my name, know what type of student I am, and some even came to my wedding! I have also been incredibly impressed with the resources. You would have to TRY to fail at UVU, because they truly make it so easy to succeed. From job resources, free tutoring, professor office hours, financial aid and scholarships, and everything in between I honestly feel like every single person I talk to wants me to succeed. The campus is amazing and INDOORS like seriously it is the best part of campus. Shorts in the winter and pants in the summer. Sure parking can be hard, but you are 100% going to find that at any university and it is really only bad after 10am so if you have classes before that you will be fine. The social life is great and the activities are fun and well attended. Free food at all times and tons of on campus food options. I honestly feel like the education I received is worth a million times more than what the tuition is (one of the lowest in the nation for a university). UVU focuses on Engaged Learning, or learning by doing, and most my classes don’t even have textbooks or tests, just projects and resume building it’s amazing. Add that to the fact that it is open enrollment and you can see why it is the largest university in the state. Seriously. Come take a tour at least and see how awesome UVU is.Justine Rupprecht

In all honesty do NOT go here, if you have a better option do not come to this college, it is a over glorified high school. They aren't too expensive which is nice, but they charge many other ways, you must pay to take tests if you are not there the first day, they offer no flexibility when taking classes especially if you are working full time. The professors are 50/50 you either get great ones that work with you, answer quickly to your emails, and are awesome. Or you get awful ones that only two kids pass their class, they will put you on academic probation which I don't get because I am paying to go to school here, so why does it bother them if I failed one class because the professor was awful. In all honesty if you have a better option DO NOT GO HERE! I have never been so frustrated with a school before in my life.Kyra McMillan

ASBN Nursing Accelerated BSN Program (16 months): The Truth. There are no lectures, just tests. They tell you to buy a ton of books, give you slides with audio in place of lectures (and some of them are pretty bad where the speaker doesn't speak English well or is reading from a book). Pros: They have a "block" system which is fast paced, and you only have to go on campus roughly 25% of the time for tests, labs, or reviews a couple of days before the test. Most courses work like this: you get a 50 page syllabus and are told to read 25-30 chapters (essentially like 2 text books in total) and the tests really don't stick to what the syllabus says they are testing on. This creates students to have test anxiety and not know what to study until 2 days before the test; which they cram and have to pass with a 90%. Pro: they say you need 90% on exams, but you get a couple of chances to retake it (also you get group exams that give you 3-4 percentage boosts when you take the group tests. Pro: some of the instructors are great, but some are absolute garbage–hit or miss. Pro: It's a decent price, and the facilities are decent, but the financial aid people never give you straight answers–it's about $65K for the whole program. Don't get caught up in the confusing price sheets they give you. Cons: the Clinical rotations schedules are always late, and the Clinical Department that arranges the schedule is constantly loosing your paperwork for immunizations and physicals. Don't think they are considerate with your time as you literally find out 7-10 days prior to having to work 12 hour shifts at hospitals across town. The recruiters are absolute and complete liars. They get paid to get you to enroll so they will lie and say anything to get you to attend. They say this program is manageable for people who work–no way unless you have a flexible schedule at the last minute. Second BIG CON: you do not receive grades!!! When you graduate good luck getting into an NP program with transcripts that say Pass/Fail; they claim to give you a letter to compensate for that, but some grad schools will not accept it. Hit or miss is the labs there too; sometimes they teach practices that you find out are never used or out of date. Another big CON: bragging about the NCLEX pass rates is a complete fraud, as they won't let you graduate to take the NCLEX unless you pass the ATI exam with 90%. That ensures their numbers are high. The support system there is an absolute joke too; they lock their doors to the instructors offices and it's a "CLOSED DOOR" program. They act like students have plague. Good program if you can read from books and learn yourself.Arnell Cornfelt

(For Reference: I am a nontraditional student, and currently enrolled in the program.) This program is an amazing experience. I highly recommend it to any potential future students. Roseman University does everything in their power to set you up for success. The university guides the student through their program with the help from the faculty, current students, and alumni. By utilizing all three resources, Roseman University manages to adapt and continually grow. The faculty go out of their way to make sure they are available for the students. Many of the faculty stay way past office hours to answer questions during the blocks they teach. Also, the faculty become your mentors throughout the program. They are there to answer any question, and help direct you for what comes after Roseman. I am consistently in contact with my mentor. Having a mentor is hands down my favorite part of Roseman University. Roseman University encourages the students to learn for each other. From day one, Roseman gathers the individual strengths of each student to make well rounded teams. The teams do not compete against each other. The teams are there to help teach and guide each other. Plus, who doesn't like an automatic built-in study group? You will also have opportunity to work side by side with some of the alumni during your rotations. Many alumni still live and work in Las Vegas. They will know exactly what you are going through, and will offer you great advice. Overall, if you are looking for a great university to continue your path in Pharmacy….I can't think of many better than Roseman University.Cory Wages

My advice STAY AWAY! This school pretends to care about quality but the results are very poor. Don't believe me, ask around….anyone who gets treatment here is often told they will complete treatment in 2 years but it always goes on for 3 or more. Once you are that far in you are almost trapped and to go to another orthodontist to get your kids treated correctly will cost you double. They don't offer you any refund for giving your child poor care. My child was in treatment there for over 4 years and in the end I told them to take the braces off because we were burnt out so after all that time he still didn't get the smile that we were promised. I went to another "real" orthodontist, not a "student" and found out that we would need another year or more to fix everything they had not fixed. Don't buy into the fact that their fee's are low, you will be wasting your time and money.Micheal Marchesi

Went from IT bro to IT pro I got the Information Technology certificate from here earlier this year and it definitely pointed me in the right direction and gave me motivation and a space to get industry certs as well. It was hard to go in and do your work sometimes because life's life but the instructors were really understanding and good at helping you succeed here to finish the program, Trent and Miles were especially helpful and good resources for me. If you're trying to land your first IT job this is the program to do especially if you do the Comptia cert. test prep courses along the way and pass a couple of those. I wouldn't say this is the only schooling you need to go far in IT but it's a great start and has opened a lot of doors for me. I was able to get an IT job right after I passed the A+ test here while still doing the Bridgerland program and have had no issue finding an IT job since then. However if you want to be paid what you're worth after you finish the program moving out of Logan is key lol. I feel like some people get discouraged in the thick of it because it's A LOT of videos and information to take in, but if you're motivated and can learn to stay awake and pump it out it's well worth the time/energy/money investment. The only negative thing I have to say is I wish they put a greater emphasis on AWS and Azure. Both are heavily used in almost every company today and I knew very little about them when I entered the real world. Microsoft has a lot of smaller certs that you can put together to form a bigger Microsoft cert and it would be cool if in the required courses you had to do one or two of those to push you to get a higher level Microsoft cert, and maybe learn a bit about cloud computing along the way.Grey Christensen

Hypocrisy is very prominent within the Interior Design course at Bridgerland. The instructors expect perfection. It says that on the rubric of multiple assignments. I wouldn’t have a problem with this if they could display perfection themselves. I have found mistakes that I had to bring to their attention so they could correct it. Their response was: “It looks like the assignment was not updated.” Obviously this was just a simple mistake, but DON'T EXPECT PERFECTION IF YOU CAN'T BE PERFECT YOURSELF. Their policy with their dress code is another instance of hypocrisy. They have a strict business casual, which makes sense. As an interior designer, I believe you should be dressed nice. “Plan on wearing clothing you would wear to an interview.” are the words an instructor told me. So I came to class in my business casual attire and multiple instructors were wearing pants with holes in them. Seems extremely hypocritical to me. This is just the beginning of the issues I saw with this course, but to wrap it up, there are a considerable number of flaws in this course. The Interior Design program at Bridgerland was not worth it for me and does not seem like quality education.tessa s

I like Bridgerland Technical College but the Interior Design Department definitely needs a facelift. I don't want to say I learned nothing in this program but I felt like I accomplished coursework and there were new ones that I know I didn't see there before. I made aware of the situation and the instructor said it was "optional" but I didn't know that later on it would be applicable in later coursework. I'd also like to add that the instructor might not know all the computer programs that she is "teaching" in this department. They programs head instructor is a great interior designer but does not know how to implicate the techniques to the program. It's not far that I and other people in that program have to be led down a rabbit whole of never ending coursework and having to repay money to worthless projects and programs that we learn nothing from. UBTech's PN program, right now, fosters a horrendous learning environment, will treat you like a number, and will not provide any encouragement. NEPOTISM IS HIGH. The program is rated highly amongst PN programs only because of the multi-million dollar lab that is held there, NOT BECAUSE OF THE EDUCATORS/STAFF. Worst college I've ever tried attending. Tried for the Desiel Mechanic class, took the required testing, never got a call from Student Services about the class. Then looked up the class online and seen that it was from 12pm-6pm. I wouldn't call this a college. More of a glorified high school. Very unprofessional. Don't offer classes for adults with adult schedules, just offer it for high students with high school schedules. I would give this college no stars if I could.Angela Cox

Culinary Arts is probably the coolest class I've taken. All the classes I've taken here are satisfactory. The only class I'm not particularly fond of is probably Intro to I.T. but even then, it's still a learning experience.Remo Hunt

I would not recommend this university to any of my friends or family, if zero stars were an option this is what they would receive, yes they did expand the university but made things worse. Graduation ceremonies are held opposite of their campus area, for instance if you are attending the Brownsville campus, your graduation ceremony will be held in Edinburg and vice versa. The cost of attending has sky rocketed. A couple of my friends who earned a double major had to fight tooth and nail for their respective degree majors'. To make things worse their parking is atrocious, even to get a visitor pass, you must pay!? What. The. Hell. Man! Lastly, they care nothing for their veterans – this university only works if you either know or are related to the person who is offering the job, if I'm being honest, our military veterans sacrificed more than any regular civilian ever would and therefore should be consider first and foremost amongst people who are not veterans. Take my advice, veterans, do yourself a favor, have Uncle Sam help pay your school elsewhere.LÖRD GAMBINI

Very little effort put in by the staff to do anything more than waste their students' time and money. Impossible to get hold of any of the advisory staff when it comes to things like tuition, curriculum, or international student programs. My SO has been going to this college on an education visa for years (more than she should have needed to to begin with) and sank a lot of money into getting a proper education, and the lack of effort to facilitate this for both her and other students- domestic or foreign- deeply disturbs me. It's been nothing but a constant source of stress and a constant hemorrhage in her wallet. Apparently this school is on probation for their overt lack of quality/effort but because members of the school body have good connections it's been kept open. School board really needs to dig their claws into this place and start making some major, sincere changes.Dag Von Danger

You get what you pay for. They offer some of the lowest tuition rates in the state, but that's the only upside. Facilities are poor, parking is rarely available, and there is a severe lack of course availability. Communication has been very poor, and we've struggled to get information from the college nor any assistance with enrollment. I had to make a complaint with the President's office just to get the help I needed. Plus, their employees are rather nasty and sociopathic. They have little-to-no concern for their students, and they're not afraid to show it. There is a lot of room for improvement here. Plus, I don't like how they are using student tuition money to recruit new students from Mexico, as well as undocumented aliens. Worry about your own students first.G68

I've been an instructor at the Salt Lake campus for over 5 years; it has been fun, challenging, and rewarding. The nursing and dental hygiene programs are difficult (whose programs aren't?), but the pass rates for both programs are exceptional. The HVAC program is outstanding, and the director of that program is well connected and extremely informative. In all programs, many of the instructors have been there for several years. The students who focus their efforts…do well. But many students come into the program thinking that it's going to be a piece a cake and it really isn't. There will be countless hours of studying, and homework. And some of the students who fail out of the program blame the school for that, when in reality they either weren't prepared for the amount of work or just couldn't pass. I've watched hundreds of students graduate over the years and get jobs for 2-4 times what they made before they enrolled, and it is life changing money for them. Fortis College is a good school, and yes, it is expensive, but it's a better option than waiting five years on a waiting list to get into a less expensive school. The overall length of the programs are also much shorter, and this allows the graduate to begin working much faster than a traditional college or university.M Stone

Fortis College has a lot of great career choices! It's bitter sweet this is last module, I'll miss all the amazing instructors, who have helped me more than ever! Staff is literally so helpful and friendly, they do an awesome job of making everyone feel so welcome. I'm a very hands on learner and that is one of the reasons why I wanted to come to Fortis, almost everyday lab time, private tutoring available if needed. I love how much I've learned in just this short amount of time, I feel more than ready to get out into my field and pursue my career in Dental Assisting. Class sizes are extremely nice, everyone gets there own one on one time with instructors, hours of classes are offered to best fit with your schedule, campus is open from 7am-9pm. Perfect for working around other priorities. Coming to Fortis gave me a whole other outlook on college, starting from what career I might be interested in, to financial aid, to graduating in march. I attended the nursing program at Fortis College. This program was not only the hardest thing I have ever done but also the most rewarding. I am a single mom of three kids and going back to school was scary! Once I made the decision to do this I knew there was no looking back. The instructors are so supportive, the classes are small and if you need one on one time to understand a specific principle then this school is a great match for you. I spent countless hours after class studying with instructors. The staff are all incredible. I'm not saying this school is perfect but no school is. What I am saying is if your determined and have a strong desire to succeed in life then this is a great program. I received a job offer for my dream job in the ER with a month of graduation and can honestly say the sacrifices made for two years are so worth it. I don't know where to begin. Being frustrated and feeling as though I am giving the runaround, trying to get my diploma and trying to get my official transcript from a school that never answers a phone call during business hours. I never had to rely on a voicemail message to get back in contact with me due to miss understanding of phones calls. I have set up a payment arrangement back in May 2021, and I was told that if I miss a payment out of six months I will have to start all over again. I have been making payments and unfortunately was told that I missed three payments but look at my account and I see they're taking money out of my account. But still won’t give me my diploma. The staff is very rude and have not sympathy or compassion about the students other are trying to make something out of themselves in life. Talking to the staff is like hopping and excepting. Staff that not willing to work with you to try to help me. I've been only help by Miss Sherry, which I was told no longer works there. She's been the only person helping me getting my diploma and trying to get everything situated. I feel frustrated disappointed disgusted and hurt that I can't even depend on the school that I thought would help me succeed in life. This is hurtful and I would not wishes upon no one else. I work so hard live alone have no family here and you're telling me that I can't get any of my transcripts or I can't get my diploma because you guys messed up on your end and you're making me suffer which is not right and unacceptable. As much as I talk about you guys school and the staff that helps me and for someone to sit there and make me feel as though it's my fault is unacceptable. Question would you want to recommend a school to someone? For me at this point I will say no because I see that they're not even trying to help at all but take my money and won't give me my diploma or my transcripts I need to speak to someone and the corporate office as a CEO or CFO that can help meMoquatin Washington

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Every campus that I have spoken to someone on the phone has been rude and dismissive and not willing to help… I attended the nursing program in 2016…completed one semester…and had to withdraw from the second (before it started) because My son was having health issues. They told me to come back whenever I wanted that they would gladly accept me back into the program where I left off… which was absolutely not true! When I tried to go back….i was told I could be accepted into the current semester…Which would have been fine except….they were changing the curriculum the following semester…Which if I would have gone back would have forced me to start all over again…. Also, When I asked If I would be able to have a financial credit for the first semester that I completed because they changed the curriculum, I was told to speak with the head of the nursing dept and then she told me that was a question for financial aid who then referred me back to the nursing dept head…and they both said that they couldn’t help me. Don’t waste your time nor effort here. $24,000 down the drain for absolutely nothing! And not only that, But when you try to have your transcripts sent, it takes forever to actually get a hold of someone…and with the rude staff on the phone at every single campus it’s ridiculous!Melissa Kloess

I’m so happy I came across the Arizona College of Allied Health on google. I requested to receive more information about the college and not even a few days later I get a text from Justin. Justin was very nice and gave me so much information that helped me decide this was the college for me. Before I came here I was at Community Colleges for the last 5 years completing only prerequisites not even in a program yet. When Justin told me I would graduate next year in July getting my DA diploma I was beyond excited. I can’t thank Justin enough for all his help. I just got done with my first track passing all my classes. I could have not done it without Ms. Vosteen. She is the best teacher I’ve ever had at all the schools I’ve been to. I am going to miss being in her classes but I am so excited to continue my journey. Thank you Arizona College of Allied Health for everyone there that I’ve seen have all been so nice and some teachers actually joke around with students instead of being so serious and rude it’s so refreshing being able to be in a environment with teachers like that.Ashley Brandon

A very good place to go to get your CNA Certification! Carol and Claudia were both very helpful, and they had practice tests and skills that were more difficult than the test, which helped you be prepared and not nervous for either the skills or knowledge sections of the test. Both were easier than the tests at ccCNA. Good vibes all around as well, and made several friends inside the healthcare bubble. They also had several different companies come in to represent themselves and help us find jobs, which was very helpful!Joe VanDam

ccCNA is a great program. They give you all the tools and knowledge to have the confidence to say you're going to pass your certification tests. Carol and Claudia are personable and they know how to make the learning you're doing interesting with a little splash of fun and humor. I've actually taken this program twice and I would do it a third time if it was ever needed to recertify again. If you're looking to get your career started in the medical field I highly recommend doing this program.Reanna Glover

Carol, Claudia and Linda are great. They explain everything in detail and train you in order to be prepared for the State test. Their practice tests are the best way to be ready for the knowledge test. And the practice with the mannequins in the classroom are a great way to have a good idea of what is expected to demonstrate in the skills test for the State. Be sure to review the exam document because it is exactly what is evaluated, no surprise questions.Rocio Castellanos

Quiet campus with small classes. Classes are in-person, interactive broadcast(awesome to interact with other USU sites), and online. Most of my professors so far are great. The tutors are really helpful. Academic advising here is good for General's and breadth requirements. But if you're going for a certain major, then setting phone call appointments with a USU Logan advisor is your best bet. The campus activities are fun, though not a lot of people show up to them. I absolutely love my school! I transferred from Ameritech because it wasn’t the greatest for me and Arizona college could not be more of a blessing in my life! The teachers really care about you and the staff is always always so kind and there to help. On top of that the faculty goes the extra mile decorating and celebrating every Holliday! I love love my school!!! 10/10 recommend!!! The financial aid are clear about costs and so on top of communication! There are no hidden fees which i struggled with at my old school. The faculty is an open book and honest and there to help. One of my favorite professors is Angela Showman! Candice Hayes was a life saver. I'd been rejected from nursing programs at big universities twice before, and had never considered something like AZCN. When we first were in contact, she was 100% realistic with me and wasn't trying to sell me something that wouldn't end up being as great. She has delivered every step of the way. She has kept in touch with me and genuinely cared about how I am doing during every part of the admissions process and it was so apparent that this nursing program wanted me! Following my spine surgery, I needed a lot of home help, especially for personal hygiene, since I did not want to leave the hospital for a rehab facility. Several people mentioned BrightStar to arrange home health aides, and they set up the service almost immediately, and then accommodated a delay when I suddenly had to have a second surgery. Every home health aide I have had from BrightStar for the past two months has been wonderful, and Silvia M. has been outstanding in her professionalism, cheerful spirit, willingness to help with anything needed, and competence. She has become a friend as well as a caregiver. I met Star in the elevator going to my doctor appointment and at that moment I felt like I knew her and we were connected somehow. She is now my nurse for a monthly injection that I will receive for the rest of my life. I couldn't ask for better care, she is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and I truly am blessed to have her give me an injection that at first made me terrified to receive as she put me at ease and I know she is there for me. I recommend this school to anyone wanting their CNA license! I took the class August 2021 when the class was still online due to COVID therefore it was self paced. Linda was my instructor from orientation to skills training and if you are given the opportunity to learn from her, I recommend you take the class. I was skeptical at first because Linda is 100% blind and I was worried I was not going to learn as effectively as I should but to my surprise, she was the best instructor I have ever learned from!! She knew the material so well that you would have thought she wrote the material. She spoke verbatim to the book and material and gave her own personal history and knowledge for additional learning. She is very hands on and will show you step by step how to preform each task asked of a CNA. She not only teaches the material, but wants to make sure you learn the material and understand the material. Due to her extensive knowledge in the medical field, she is the best instructor anyone could ask for. Make sure you request Linda because you will 100% love her and learn from her. I hope I'm given the opportunity to continue to learn from her in my medical career.Amber Simmons

The CNA online portion was not my favorite, but it did allow flexibility in my schedule since it was on my own. My skills session was ABSOLUTELY fabulous!! My teacher, Linda Oldham was subbing in since the original teacher was out of town. She did a fabulous job at getting me the knowledge I needed for my state exam. I feel prepared to take my state exams and I’m confident that if I need anything, I can reach out to my instructor for help or advice where it is needed. 10/10 recommend this class!Megan Standing

My overall experience with Utah CNA training centers was phenomenal! From Jose who helped me figure out a few things like reapplying after missing orientation due to working full time and planning a wedding; to my teachers ( Mrs. Sherie Carter and Ms. Megan Scothorne). I know since it’s a school, results will vary. But dear lord I’ve never had service as poor as I got on my latest visit here (I’ve only been here 2 times now, but still each experience was drastically different). To start, the front desk “student” with the light brown shoulder length hair was rude the minute we walked through the door. Her attitude only lightened up when my guest and I were leaving. The girl who did my pedicure had no care or effort in the world. She told me she wanted to be a hairdresser, so I’m assuming scrubbing feet was the last thing she wanted to do and therefore she wasn’t going to do her best. Usually, for any beauty service I receibe anywhere I tip 30%, but I was so dissatisfied with the service here that I didn’t even tip. My boyfriend had come in for a very simple haircut, 4 on the sides and trim the top. There was hair all over the counter from the previous person, the tiles were gross and brown on some spots and the whole place smelled like the Aegean stables. They got the haircut wrong, they shaved his hair almost all the way down when we asked for a four on the sides. They only sharved half of his sideburns! The stylist never blew or brushed off the hair that landed on his face and neck and made him take off his own tarp. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a haircut. I'd rather pay 12 dollars for a haircut than 5 dollars for a butchering.Sarah Rosler

Went here for pedicures and it wasn’t at all what I expected. We sat on a wooden bench, got a cold foot bath, and I had to hold my legs up while she clipped two of my toenails, painted the rest (but not enough coats because they still were see through in spots) and that was it. My cuticles weren’t cleaned up, my heals were still super rough and scratchy and there was no lotion or foot rub or anything after it all. The girls were really nice but that was about the only positive thing I can think of from this experience. I won’t be returning.Jaron & Megan Gold

Pay is great. Would be an amazing app if they rethought their cancelation policies. There is a 2 week ban for ANY cancelation no matter how far in advance. Very nervous to use the app because of this. Last minute cancelations can have strikes against you but Even if you cancel a week in advance?? That's pretty rough. The other part of this is if a facility cancels on you or sends you home, there is no penalty for them or compensation for the clinician even though we could have been earning money some where else. They should really look out for their nurses as much as they do the facilities. Change this and their golden! Also, Laura from chat support was amazing with getting me help! Update: thank you, Eva, for helping me resolve this issue and get in touch with the facility to confirm my hours worked. After the very first shift I worked, I went to log my hours and saw that the shift had been canceled. I contacted Nursa via the phone help line, email, and the help chat. Each time I was told they would contact the facility and email/call me back. Each time I got nothing but radio silence in return. I’m wondering if I’ll ever get paid for this shift. I have since worked a second shift through Nursa and everything seems to be accurate and on track but the first impression is enough to have me signing up for other staffing agencies.Jordan Toy

Worse staffing app ever. Since i signed up here i have never requested a shift and it was granted. When i asked the scheduler for colorado springs CASSANDRA she said she only gives shifts to those that have already worked in that facility. I told her this doesn't make any sense. Today i was contacted that there is a shift opening i should get there ASAP, when i responded that i am not available….guess what happened, the shift i had already requested got cancelled by the scheduler🤣🤣🤣. I laughed hard and just uninstalled the app. Horrible experience for me.Chatlotte Diboule
