A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . I think cause it a community college a lot of them are mad cause they can't teach in a four year college through out of the community colleges in NY LaGuardia is the best . That being said she is the third professors that I had that sleeps walks through their class and I had another one that did something that weren't cool and I didn't show up for her class and never got an apology from her. I say if you over 30 years like me this college is not for you. Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. I took Acting & Gymnastics classes growing up as a kid @ KCC; along with taking other performing arts enrichment classes @ Brooklyn College also while growing up, although Brooklyn College wasn't affiliated with my high school like KCC was. KCC has a great campus for a CUNY two-year college (one of the nicest in the CUNY system being right on Manhattan Beach) and is also the partner CUNY institute with my High School alma mater, Edward R. Murrow whom it operates the CollegeNow! program with. I spent my Junior and Senior years at Murrow taking KCC college-level courses taught by both Murrow faculty, and visiting KCC faculty (at Murrow) as well as commuting to the KCC campus from Murrow for additional classes that could only be taught on-site @ the KCC campus. It was EXTREMELY academically enriching to be able to enjoy a college level curriculum whilst still being in High School; and that was due directly to KCC's collaboration with my high school. My GPA went up as a result of the CollegeNow! program during my last two years at Murrow as did my SAT scores. I have KCC to thank for that. 👍👏👏👏👏Ben Schaeffer

Kingsborough CC has a very nice entertainment program, well-run and well-sited, with both indoor and outdoor venues. This year's 4-part post-pandemic return to their July outdoor series has been a real winner for the 3 weeks of it so far, with decent weather enhancing the winning combination. Performers have commented on how well-received they are when they come to perform there, from an enthusiastic staff that really respects their art, to receptive audiences. That reputation has allowed audiences to see a number of top-notch acts more than once there, as the artists appreciate that respectful treatment. There have been other events there, all of which were interrupted by COVID since it came around, so there will be needed time to get those back on track. There are cautionary protocols in place even now: those attending must provide proof of vaccination, with masks optional. Not sure of masking will or will not be required once the indoor events resume, but it certainly appears that the staff has kept up-to-date with everything necessary.N H Tanner

They literally screamed at my mom who does not speak any English for not having her vaccine card with her although she had picture of the vaccine but her phone was dead they yelled at her and did not try to help her enter the building at all. Once I came and approach them they was talking to me with awful attitude and yelling at me!!!!! although I respect the policy but they always could help in situation like this making everything 10X harder and unprofessional behaviour. edit, update: ended up coming to the conclusion that because all of this uncertanty and my bad living situation I am dropping out, I did all I could, was not met halfway by anone but professors unless I begged here. do not go here if you're poor. Just, no. I can't take it anymore. I've tried to explain my situation to this school multiple times, and I'm left to struggle on my own. I am starving, housing insecure, financially unstable, and unable to make ot to class or properly study because of financial struggle, inability to be alone a place quiet to study because they won't house, and depression. In the end they want to fail you out so you can pay them fees later, I guarantee. I'lll gladly take my review down if it's actually a thing they decide they really want to help me with, only after I have been actually helped, and not as in, money grant to help my situation I never recieve, or new housing program email I apply for and am swiftly rejected because I am not enrolled just enough just yet due to circumstances that are once again not entirely my fault because when I applied here I intended to be taking 16 credits not 7. If you are hungry, you can find all types of food around the building. It has 26000 student. It also has a big cafeteria, big library, big quiet study place for study and a lot more . When I was looking into going to Ross I was a little apprehensive because I wasn't sure if this program was really any good. From the minute I walked in the door all my apprehension was gone!! The admissions staff made me feel right at home and walked me through the process step by step and answered all my questions. The financial aid staff was wonderful and answered all my questions about my financial aid and got it processed quickly. The school director was absolutely the best!! She takes time to actually sit you down and find out how you are doing in your courses and she is available to fix any problems you may have. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable about the subjects they are teaching you and are also available to answer any questions and offer whatever help you may need. Career services literally will not stop looking for employment for you until you have a job in your field. Honestly so disappointed. A complete lack of communication from day one. Today should be my graduation date, and I can't even get an email response about anything. The education I received was so far off track from what I was told I would receive (Billing and Coding) and I think I might be qualified to answer phones and make minimum wage now that I am done. I get plenty of communication about sharing on social media but cannot even get a response about what I am to do next now that my qualifications for completion are met. Updates needed for the sake of the teachers and students as far as efficacy goes. Machinery such as autoclaves and centrifuge could stand to be updated as well. All staff and personnel at Ross is absolutely wonderful and I have and will continue to sing this school's praises. Terrible when it comes to visitors and what information they tell you. My sister is currently in this place and apparently I can’t visit her. When my mom called them, they told us “only two set visitors can show up to visit the patient.” Nowhere on the pamphlet did it say that. The pamphlet says “immediate family members are welcome to visit during the day” and “other family and friends may visit Monday-Friday”. Also, they said it’s a rule due to covid. Everybody in our family is vaccinated including my sister (the patient) + we haven’t been near anybody with covid at all. Thanks to the hospital to telling us about this policy, my brother and father have wasted just about 3 and a half hours of their day going to visit, told they can’t, and driving back. Also, what happened to the no electronics thing? Everybody was told she was not allowed near electronics, but all of a sudden, she’s allowed to have a zoom meeting via iPad? They just broke their own rule which was already stupid in the first place. This whole place is a disaster.AverageBoi2356

Spent 6 hours at this hospital. They don't seem to do anything but COVID. I told them multiple times I didn't have COVID but they wouldn't be convinced so they sent me home with no diagnosis, convinced they were right. Got my negative test result from them this morning but that doesn't help my 101 fever. People need to trust that a hospital will actually do their job instead of just assuming they know. I started going to NYU dental clinic in October 2017 for a dental evaluation and any work that may be needed including one implant on the upper right quadrant which had been missing for several years. Five years and many visits later and I need more work than ever, and we are still nowhere close to replacing the tooth I originally came in for. Now that clinic has broken at least three other teeth that later needed to be removed and I’m now walking around with three missing teeth, and one half-broken-off tooth in need of extraction. With no treatment in the foreseeable future as their students will not even work on my teeth through no fault of my own. I often see ads for how great NYU College of Dentistry implants is, but they don’t tell people that it will take years to actually get one if ever. The students pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a dental degree at NYU and the school charges patients through insurance and private payments so they can practice but it treats the patients like dental training manikins. It takes weeks and sometimes months just to get an appointment and you have a bunch of follow-up appointments that could the rest of the semester to work on just one tooth. They take my blood pressure before starting a session, which has always been low as I exercise regularly and run 17-20 miles a week but all the damage they caused to my mouth required even more work than before and they wanted me to pay for the damage they caused. This resulted in a spike in blood pressure one time and asked me to leave and see a cardiologist which I did and after a battery of tests was told I was perfectly healthy. It's the first time to go to dentist in the US and I was kind of nervous but my students were very nice and gentle. And sane students are in charge always you go.(If they graduate then different student will be.) Usually a junior and a senior student are one pair. And it is appreciative price not like super expensive dentists. Treatments may take time since students give you the treatments mostly with supervised the dentist professor only at the beginning or the end so I recommend you if you can be patient and give them enough time. Just one thing, I went here for a filling treatment and I didn’t feel any pain at all and I didn’t know what kind of filling procedure they will give me. Then the senior student gave me TWO anesthesia shots which were UNNECESSARY!! I couldn’t tell my filling was good or not because of numbness around my teeth and mouth so I had to go back one more time to adjust on different day. My mouth was uncomfortable during the period. So it’s better you ask them every time BEFORE they do treatment for your teeth.日福米豪

I have been trying to get an appointment here for over 2 years. Each time I call, I am told different things and that's only if they pick up. I was told by their staff I was indeed a good fit for their disability dental clinic. I was told they don't take medicaid despite it saying it on their own website. When I pointed that out to the receptionist, she snapped at me about how that's not in her control. I was just letting you know so someone could take it off the website if its not true and then people wouldn't call and waste your time asking if you take medicaid. But to add on to that, another receptionist said you DO take medicaid. This place is very confusing and disorganized. I really needed your services and the crazy thing is, I still do! The longer it takes, the more afraid I will be of the dentist. I just wish if you weren't gonna help, You would've been upfront, honest and not let me suffer in pain for a return call that never came. I really had faith in you.Angel Baby

I attended Career School of NY 10 years ago and it was one of the best experiences. I did the cosmetology program and it took just about 9 months to complete and graduate! I always recommend this school over any competitors because they are more affordable and you get the same proper training and education as you would anywhere else. I started my braces journey in Brooklyn during the pandemic when the SI one was closed and I transferred recently to this one. The front desk lady was super friendly and so was everyone else. Although, the doctor who did my check up seemed to be in a rush that made me a bit anxious if my teeth were being in proper care since the communication on how my teeth were doing so far was non existent. She seemed very nice and knows what she’s doing, but it’s probably me used to the other location taking their time to explain what still needs to be done or explaining any inquiry I have on my teeth. Wonderful people, and so far my favorite dentist. I've been to 2 dentists before, but this one is the best. The Doctor is very professional and is highly skilled and knowledgeable of the dental field (35+ years in the field). I went in for an emergency because my filling from the previous dentist fell out. I haven’t gone to the dentist in a long while – my previous dentist retired and the search for a new dentist during Covid was less than ideal. That being said, I’m thrilled I found this office. This is a customer oriented business. That means – they are friendly, knowledgeable, transparent and punctual. Qualities I appreciate. I had an incredibly patient and sweet hygienist named Arianna (apologies if I didn’t spell it correctly). She was thorough and made my time at the office pleasant. I also met Dr. Scafa. They were both gentle and made me feel less nervous. Dr. Scafa was very lively (keeps your interest by sharing his own real life experiences) and professional. The office staff was polite and respectful as well. Side note – they do try to tell you about all of the services they provide and you, of course, have the option to say yes or no. As I have a heavy sales background, I can appreciate their efforts. I also believe it’s great to know that they have so many services, a one stop shop for all things dental. This was my first visit – I’ll update if anything changes but so far so amazing. My search is over – or at least until Dr. Scafa retires. 🙂 I will be recommending this practice. I went to Dental Arts Center for a check up & Invisalign consult. The office staff is extremely friendly, smiles all around (pun intended). Very clean, updated office, & advanced/up to date with technology. Truly a positive experience from getting your pre-appointment paperwork messaged right to your phone, through the check in process with the woman at the front desk, to the seamless scan from the dental hygienist & the check up with the Dentist. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and takes your personal comfort level seriously which is an added bonus. Felt like I was amongst professionals that could have been friends or family. If you are unsure, scared or even petrified like I was to go to a dentist… THIS is the place to go!! I hadn't been to a dentist in years & was truly petrified to go, but a friend recommended them because she is the same way, so I took a chance. I have seen both Dr. Scaffa & Dr. Danny. They both are patient, understanding & just down right awesome!! They take the time to explain things to you before & after anything they do. They made me feel comfortable & at ease. Dr. Danny is who I have seen the most & he is GREAT!! Their entire staff is personable & easy to speak with. I highly recommend anyone who needs a dentist, to go to them.B Mastrandrea

Dental 365 – Oakwood Staten Island is the best dental office I have ever been to! I have been going there for years and find the staff to be attentive and friendly, almost as if I am part of their family. Dr. Kaplan and Dr. Grafstein are experts at their craft and always up to date on the latest and greatest. This office also has a hygienist who cares about her work and is very thorough in her cleanings. Above all, this office is extremely clean and takes precautions seriously (even pre-covid). This place is AWESOME!! This place was new to me and I’ve had a couple of appointments here, and I can say they were great experiences. The doctors and staff here are SO NICE and really work to make sure you understand everything that’s going on. I had gotten two wisdom teeth removed recently and the surgery went PERFECTLY. This place is great for people with anxiety especially as I get nervous during surgery, the doctors made me feel at ease and I felt 0 pain during the surgery. The doctor was really nice, he explained every step he made to me so I felt comfortable, and everyone made sure I had a quick and smooth surgery. The recovery went great, I had no complications and no complaints. The dentist office is also so clean and the people there make you feel as comfortable as you can be in a dentists office. I had a dental emergency and this office saved my LIFE! I was in a complete panic after breaking my front tooth in HALF while I was on a quick trip to NYC. Called several offices who refused to get me in. Not only did Advanced Dental squeeze me in immediately, I was blown away by the staff, the care, and efficiency of everyone working here. Everyone made me feel welcome and calm, and were more than I could have ever hoped for. The emergency root canal and temporary fix on my tooth (until I get home and can get a permanent crown) went FLAWLESS! You can’t even tell the filling they molded into a false front tooth for me isn’t my actual tooth! It's a pretty nice place, they seem knowledgeable, wait time is pretty good, location is pretty good, they are very friendly….. But they only cleaned ONE SIDE of my teeth….. dentist said she couldn't do the other side due to time restraints….. Was told I would be called and to come in to get the other side done….. It's currently been 3 weeks, I've called them and STILL haven't received an appointment yet to get the other side done …….That's not how I do business ….I don't like that.. Quite sure they will bill my insurance though, so I will be calling them…. *UPDATE*… Here we are another week and a half later …. STILL no call to get the other side of my teeth cleaned …..stay away from this place!!! definitely not good business!!!!jo Zamunda

Awesome experience. Doctor and dental assistants are skilled in their work. The only negative is that at times I feel like the doctor and his staff are always rushing around, lol. I attribute it to the fact that they strive to stay on schedule, and stay on top of appointments. Doctor Galkin is neat, responsible and very friendly wants to make sure you are feeling your best. I noticed the one time my gums felt sore and the Doctor made sure to take detailed notes on that and asked me how I felt at my next two visits. Fortunately the pain was gone, maybe due to my gums getting used to the aligners. Or maybe I was flossing too harshly. I am very happy with the care I have been receiving here and pleased with my progressing smile! Thank you Galkin and team, keep up the GREAT work!! Highly recommend !!iliana G

Dr. G is a legend man. He is so smart and professional. During my visits, he makes an effort to explain exactly what he is going to adjust. He explains in a way that even someone without a degree in dentistry can understand. His staff are also very nice and kind ladies. Sometimes I miss an appointment but they never make me feel ashamed. I look forward to my visits to this office. Dr G also has excellent taste in cars, but I digress. Overall, would recommend 10/10. I love this place. I am currently working with Invisalign and my appointments are so smooth I am in and out within mins. As soon as I arrive, I virtually check in get called up and head to a room where I am greeted by an assistant grab my new liners speak with dr. Gallon and I’m out. Appointments are never more than 15 mins unless I need a new alignment. The people are amazing and very nice. The whole facility deserves 5 starsCelinith Melendez

Bunch of things that went down for me here. 1. They said my insurance does not cover ceramic/white filling. (I’ve one of the best insurance out there). Kept charging me for out of pocket for 8 visits. Until 6 months later, I accidently logged into my insurance account only to see that my insurance had refunded the clinic for all my filling. When I contacted them, the front desk said oh we did not check and reluctantly gave me a check back. 2. They made holes and digged out the smallest possible minor cavities and made unnecessary bills. My new dentist says most of this was absolutely not required. I left this clinic for good. I wish I knew earlier could have saved a ton of pain, discomfort and money.priya harish

Amazing doctors, and staff. Every time my husband and I go for an annual exam or any treatment the care given is always extraordinary. As soon as we walk through the door we are greeted with kindness and understanding. The receptionists, technicians and the doctors all communicate with each other and with us in terms of our plan of care. It’s just such a caring and warm environment when we go. I’ve been going to Soho dental group since they opened, and love it. The office is great- sparkling clean and modern, and the staff are absolute pros. I just had the best and most painless cleaning I’ve ever received, Which is huge because I have such sensitivity in my mouth. I enjoy going there so much, that I’ve convinced my elderly parents to switch to Soho dental group as well, and they couldn’t be happier.Janna Dvilyanski
