20 Best 2 Year Nursing Programs In Worcester, MA (2022 Updated)

I took the CNA ‘Plus’ programme there back in October 2021. For $2395 we never got a clinical! And the facilities and equipment provided were unbelievable! One mannequin with its leg falling out and not even a proper night gown to keep it from being exposed! Sheets were dirty! Equipment faulty, and now we are STILL waiting to take our state licensure exams! If you’re taking the CNA programme, do not take the “plus part” it is a waste of money and time. State Street U is amazing. I attended 22 years ago and stopped by for the first time since then and I was amazed to find, updated buildings, a beautiful store, and a whole new feel. The professors and professionals were mostly great when I was there and though I don't attend, I had a chance to talk to administrators and they are still amazing. It is a fantastic education at a great price. If you are looking for a great community college, look no further than STCC. I do not recommend this school to anyone. There was a lot of grade school style homework and a broad spectrum of effort put in by my professors. Most of my homework was distributed digitally by the respective text book's website — NOT the professor. This created a huge disconnect when discussing homework issues in class. It was frustrating knowing my professors were not curating our homework, rather, it was being outsourced by a subsidized textbook. Their job is to educate, but remember they are there to make a profit. I could not afford my bill so they sold my debt to a collection agency.J s

My first college experience was here and it wasn't a particularly good one. The building is nice with a very comfortable atmosphere, though the parking lot is a nightmare. There is not WiFi through the entire building, which is infuriating for a student with an on campus class that is also entirely on the internet. I feel like for the moment, the school is having a bad time transitioning to technology. Staff is ridiculously friendly and helpful, unexpected for a place in Gardner.Vertigo

Great school. but I think if we're paying $300.00 for a book and paying $8.00 on top of that for shipping a signature should be required from UPS and some type of insurance on it. I'll preface this review by saying I am a parent of a student nearing completion of 2 years at Assumption. The campus and facilities are well kept, safe, clean and relatively modern. Like any institution, the staff is a mixed bag. We've had several instances of communications going unanswered, requiring follow up before a response is given or otherwise not rising to the level of what you'd wish for, when committing your child and a high level of financial support to any business. I'll also say that in the time of covid, things are more complicated for all businesses and families, not just Assumption. That said, when circumstances are difficult, authentic character is revealed. After returning to campus for a 'hybrid' semester, the kids who chose to try and have a semblance of normal college life, have been gravely disappointed. The protocols are strictly enforced, and most people (including me) understand they are a necessary fact of life today. Abiding by social distancing, masks, twice weekly testing and other processes must be embraced and I have no qualms with that stance. That said, Assumption has a policy disallowing all resident students from leaving campus, except in the most narrow of circumstances. Even doctor visits have been challenging for students and have required parental intervention before being approved. The mental health of many are suffering due to this policy. All the while, staff, administrators, vendors, security and all commuting students are allowed to come and go at will on a daily basis. The school professed in a recent letter that "commuting students have not led to an increase in virus transmission". If that is true, why then aren't the remainder of the students allowed to follow those same policies as long as they abide by standard protocols? As we have all experienced, human interaction and cautious freedom of movement are all part of a human being's wellness. Our child and many others, are being made to suffer by the university's, inflexible, extreme policy. If that policy were uniformly enforced for everyone attending Assumption, it might be easier to accept. Seeing hundreds of people come and go on a daily basis, while others are literally suffering in silence is devastating as a parent and as a human being with empathy. The school and its president are not available and open to communicate on this subject either. A recent post I submitted to the Facebook group, written respectfully and thoughtfully was disallowed. A recent Zoom call was held to address student concerns and the administrators kept attendees muted, disallowed cameras and didn't provide the ability to interact and genuinely communicate two ways. College is supposed to teach kids how to think for themselves, form opinions and demonstrate their independence. It's part of the educational package, which is not purely an exercise in passing tests. Assumption continually follows a pattern of carefully controlled communications instead of embracing a diversity of thought. I am a working professional and have been impacted by covid same as everyone in the world. My company has changed its policies and the situation is ever evolving. That said, I am not aware of any other walk of life, where coming/going is all but disallowed. Even prisoners are allowed familial visits, with safety protocols followed. If a student had a toothache, nobody would prevent him/her from seeking relief, but for anyone suffering depression, anxiety and mental anguish in part because they cannot simply blow off steam by meeting their parents for breakfast is told to 'stay resilient'. I drove an hour to watch the football game today. The email sent to the opposing team (us) said "All guests must be fully vaccinated, over the age of 12 years old, etc…. I am sure I was not and won't be the last person to misunderstand that statement as being "Anyone 12 and over has to be vaccinated" and not understood as "Children under 12 are not allowed". While written properly, this was extremely deceiving compared to the rules posted on your site (which I decided to search after the fact) that says CLEARLY no one under 12 will be allowed on campus. My 3 year old who is not even PERMITTED to be vaccinated and who was thoroughly looking forward to coming to the game was in tears when we had to turn around and go back home. My family has gone to almost all of the football games this season in various states and not once has there been such strict, unreasonable rules about an OUTDOOR event. Experience PART ONE. Experience PART TWO- When I pulled on to the campus, the security guard asked if I had a guest pass. I said No. He said, "OK then, pull up the hill and you'll see the main parking." I proceeded to do so. Less than 5-10 minutes after I pulled in, my father in-law pulled in and was asked the same question. Do you have a guest pass? He answered No. The exact same answer as I. Help me understand why he was told he couldn't proceed through the gate but I, who answered with the same exact answer, was allowed to pass? First of all, neither one of us should have been allowed to pass because we, again, had not been required to "register" to attend a game AT ANY OTHER SCHOOL this season. But secondly, I am a 35 year old Caucasian female and he is an older black male. You must understand that the rules that applied to him and didn't apply to me looks really, REALLY bad on behalf of your school. ALMOST DONE… These rules stated on your site which as I said I searched after the fact say, "In addition to being fully vaccinated, guests must follow current Assumption University health protocols, including the current mask wearing policy. Lastly, at this time tailgating of any sort is not allowed on campus." Since your guard so kindly allowed me to pass the gate without a guest pass, I was able to go onto the campus and see a designated parking lot FULL of Assumption tailgaters, NOT social distanced and NOT wearing masks. So basically what I understood from this is AGAIN the rules that apply to the visiting team did not apply to the Home team. And to close… "all guests must register to come to campus five days prior to arrival.." Five days prior… Is it realistic to think that the friends AND family of the visiting teams would even THINK that they'd have to go "REGISTER" to attend the next game only two days after their last game after watching games ALL season without any issue?? I can only hope and pray that you look into all of the above and not just disregard the happenings surrounding my TERRIBLE experience today at your school. Thank you! And congratulations on your Team win. I hope it was the encouragement of your home team fans that really gave your team the push. Your great efforts to keep out visiting spectators worked. The service at Taylor's dining hall is horrible and so is the quality of food. It doesn't even deserve 1 star. In my many experiences visiting my sister and eating here, they always close early and never have any food for those who have allergies. I'm allergic to gluten and the only option I have are carrots and hamburgers, in which most of the time I can't eat with having to go up 700 time to ask for more. I paid $12 to eat at an all you can eat buffet and I get to eat not even enough to count as a snack. If you try to ask for more the first time they will say no and then if you even want to have a small conversation while eating the first helping, they will be closed and take away all the food. Also the events for the family weekends and everything suck and are a waste of money. You have more chances of having fun if you just stay home and sleep.MacKenzie

I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good luck finding a place as tranquil anywhere else near the city. There is however one small con and one big con.. the small con is that there aren't that many places to eat and Sodexo runs all the food on campus, and their attempts at ethnic foods are sad. And the aforementioned big con is that there is no less than 3 buildings being built on this tight peninsula right now, and one huge building that was taken down over the year I've been here.. the construction is a mess. Though the new, finished buildings, like the science complex, are great. But if you can take the T somehow, as I do, this place is fantastic.Mikhail M. Nitko

UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute that students can be a part of. I love the new Integrated science center, incubating many New exciting NIH sponsored science research studies. It is an exciting time for UMASS Boston which has a new chancellor with generous scholarship. Chancellor merit scholarship will allow students to get world class education for free.Khuong Nguyen

I am a student here at UMB, the professors are great. The administration is bureaucratic and inefficient and lacks transparency on any basic level. Parking here is dependent upon arrival time. If you get here at 10:20 good luck finding a space in bayside, probably will have to park at the globe. Clinical placement sites for Nursing are good, labs are good, the school is constantly under construction and areas are always being blocked off. Parking will soon cost between 9-15 dollars a day according to emails from the uni. So it’s alright but the university is slowly draining the life of its commuters.Bill Whitney

I attended when the school was located in Back Bay. We (students and faculty) all made do with the limitations set by the Boston Historical Society in terms of what could be done to our physical plant. That's history. The new 'campus' on Boston Common is amazing. I'm not exaggerating when I say that my experience at Emerson changed my life personally and professionally in the most positive way possible. If you are a person who is self-directed, open-minded with a strong interest in communication sciences Emerson will likely be an excellent fit.Bruce Angeli

As an alum, I had a truly wonderful time studying at this school. I feel as though I got a true, real-life education. Most of the professors also worked in the industries they taught, and could give honest feedback about what it was like. A creative, open learning platform with talented students, helpful staff, and beautiful facilities, I would recommend this school to anyone looking to go into the arts, communications/PR, film, and writing, specifically. The food program makes students sick. They’re placing students in “on-campus hosting” that is half an hour away by train. There isn’t a lot of scholarship money, even to students working while enrolled. The student body diversity is a joke. And worst of all, they will pretend to listen to your complaints but won’t do anything about them, listening to you cry on the phone about how bad your circumstances are without empathy.Olivia Challenger

Went here during 2013-2014 for my associates in marketing, its an alright college. Tho my only bad points I remember from this is the intern job finder guy was really rude and I had other people who told me they had him too and he was rude to them as well. another bad point was one of the class counselors who made me take an unnecessary course and told me if i didn't take it i wouldn't get my degree only to find out that they lied and i didn't need to take that course (no refunds of course). Last bad point I remember was one of the job counselors who said they would help me find a job pretty much ghosted me after our first meeting. They gave such a wonderful speech about how I was going to get a lot of help finding a job and that i wouldn't be disappointed. well disappointment city here i came first class. total ghosted and never heard from after the second week of trying to talk to them. gave up trying to finding a job threw here. otherwise its an alright place but seriously have enough parking places that people taking classes here and no teacher saved parking spots for teachers who arent even there and we can see are sitting empty for most if not the entire day. After the first guy Matt Coulter if i remember his name right, was really rude and pretty much did absolutely NOTHING to help me when I had a problem with my internship. Then the job helper person I got to help me find a full time job litterly GHOSTED me, IE: never returning any phone calls, emails and was never there even tho I told they were there on the days they would be in, on 3 separate occasions I wasted my time trying to meet someone who just happened to "not" be there. This place was the worst college to go to. The counselors don't really help you. They just sign you up for any course they can just so they can quickly boot you out the door not caring to help you find classes for your major or even find a major at all. For the Danvers campus in particular, it's a very snobby, predominately white(and prejudice), unfriendly atmosphere. A lot of them also flow over to the Lynn campus so they bring their snobby attitudes there. The students are worse than the instructors though the instructors can be pretty stuck up themselves. That's just the type of community Danvers is. You will find most of the people who have the edge at this school AND of course speak highly of it are the predominantly white population. I took a Bio 101 class once, and the instructor said in front of the class that blacks usually don't do well because they come from a poor background and lack proper education. It really is not a good place to get your education. Also, a lot of classes they have wont transfer to another college such as their Bio 101 course. You may not know that, but be sure the classes you take are transferable. Be sure to follow up on Rate My Professors website to know if you have a good instructor or not otherwise it's a hit or miss on having a great successful academic year or not. The staff can be very unfriendly on the phone or in person when you go to any of their offices. When you attend this school, you better have direction on what you want to do because No one there is really going to help you unless you have a really good instructor. I transferred out to a better community college and it was one of the best choices I've ever made.Maximum Achievement

I have done four semesters at NSCC in the Criminal Justice program over the past two years. North Shore was a decent place for me to start my college education, as I feel like going to a full-fedged State University for four years is a massive scam and waste of money. Professor Koshivas and D'Agastino were great and I learned a great deal in their classes. The Danvers campus is very clean and modern and much nicer than the Lynn campus, which gave me the feeling of being in a dirty train tunnel. My issues with the school pertain to its administration. I had multiple issues when enrolling for classes during each semester. It seemed like no matter what some piece of paperwork would be lost. Once they even lost proof of one of my scholarships, luckily I had copies. When it came time to cut the check for the semester there would always be an issue with the amount. Sometimes we overpaid, sometimes we underpaid, it was as though they never got the final amount right on the first try. It was frusturating to deal with. Another issue I had was with the WiFi in the school. I would be in the library during the period between classes on my laptop trying to get work done, only to find the connection suddenly stopped and I could no longer connect to the internet. Some days were worse than others with this, it was very unpredictable as to when it would work and when it would not. I won't end up graduating from North Shore as of right now as I'm going the military route instead. However, there are some very good professors at this school, just be prepared to deal with a mediocre administrative department if you decide that North Shore is for you.Millard Fillmore

Most of the bad reviews are coming from people who had ONE bad experience at like the book store or whatever or i gEt tHiEr aDs oN hUlu, though the veteran who shared his story probably has a decent case to make. Anyway I got a business degree from this college and if you actually try you can do really really well here, with great professors and programs like the honors program which gives high level learning at bottom dollar, and wonderful faculty like the folks at PTK, disability services, or the Fuller Center. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to work on regarding graduation rates, the food, no one card system, etc but I couldn't give this place anything less than 5 stars because of all of the wonderful people who give 110% here, especially in those departments I mentioned. If you live in Worcester don't spend 30k a year to go to Assumption, you'll save so much money to come here. Seek opportunity, study for your tests, respect your professors and faculty, and most importantly, do your damn homework; I guarantee you'll be a success at this place if you do all of these things.Clark Kent

The qcc "police" are some of the most unqualified and unempathetic people in the area. There is no doubt they have no training, no expertise in law and zero idea of what they are doing. Maybe they should take some courses while they work their jobs at qcc in criminal justice. Maybe they can get a handle on their jobs. This is an awesome school and I am so disappointed that one teacher ruined it all for me. DO NOT take Professor Jane Joyce accounting classes or any classes from her. She is awful and not a good teacher in general. You will waist your money, time, and probably want to rip your hair out when she talks. I have to be honest about this. Good college when it comes to campus design, some Professor's teaching skills, and assistance for school related issues. Although, the school teaches bad ethics. For example, sports lack discipline. They will teach there athletes to run score boards up. Up by 20 in a basketball game with 3mins to go, they will shoot more three point shots than Steve Kerr. The most alarming thing is faculty will participate in Hazing students. I've watch this with my own two eyes. Call them out on it, and they will just deny it, at least my professor did. I am currently a student there, who help form a club, in order to help students get there basic needs to become a successful student. So just remember, good campus design, some Professors have good teaching styles, good for resources, but terrible place to learn good ethics. To me learning good ethics and applying them is one of the most important, or the most important thing to learn as a student. Would not be the first school I would want to send my child to. I do recommend this college as an affordable and easy starting point but be ready to encounter many hurdles in your way and a lot of incompetent staff. Make sure to double check everything you do here, especially the financial aid part. I will say that all schools have there administration issues. Some of the reviews here are a reflection of a particular professor or financial aid issue which should be in no way a reflection of the overall college. The college is a beautiful place to attend with numerous private beaches and has an overall elegant esthetic appearance. The college has it's own public safety and is a blue light district. I will say that I myself have had a few minor issues with professors and the Dean of my school but regardless there is a procedure through the college to handle any issues someone may have with a member of the staff. Unfortunately some people chose not to educate themselves on how to deal with problems rather than go on google and write poor reviews about an overall great university with an internship program that could turn many peoples lives around. The university is also a great provider of education for young mothers who want to make a life for themselves and their child. Beautiful campus. I was there for the graduation ceremony on 5/17/18. Very efficient system of getting people to and from the stadium. They provided bused, shuttle vans and golf carts. It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review but I am in hopes of MCPHS revising their admissions process for the Physician Assistant Program. I know that I was not the only student this year that was invited to interview and then closed out of an interview spot and placed on a waiting list. When I contacted MCPHS they told me that I may not get to interview after all as they had accidentally invited too many people to interview and did not have the resources to open up more interview dates even though acceptances are not on a rolling basis. How does a top tier medical university not have the resources to interview all the students they invited? By choosing to interview solely the people that happened to secure spots first, not only are they limiting the potential of their incoming class and proving that they only care about filling the spots for monetary reasons, but they are limiting the future of numerous successful students who worked hard to get an interview invitation. When I asked Jordan Hunt (admissions counselor) to make sense of this she was unable to provide a competent answer besides that the university messed up and the incoming students are the ones facing the repercussions. I’m not writing this for myself, but for the other students who were too timid to speak up or who had chosen this school as their top choice and then got screwed. I truly feel bad for some of the other incoming students who do not have other options and were relying on MCPHS. I am very disappointed. MCPHS either needs to change their interviewing process to rolling acceptances (interviewing the top tier students first and then going down the line) or they need to use this model but be willing to open up more dates in case of overflow. Side note: They informed me that students on the waiting list could be notified up to a day before an interview that a spot had opened up. Do they not take into consideration that everyone doesn’t live near Boston or works full-time? Extremely dissatisfied with this supposedly “top tier” medical college.Maddy Frank

Hey guys, good for all the students giving great remarks. I don't know if the school has paid you. I must say i was in the nursing program , ( the set that started 2005) the teachers were very bad. Everything was very difficult, out of 50 students that got into the nursing program only 15 students or even less that graduated from the program. Judy Murphy was very racist, no room for improvement. It was a very bad school. I will recommend another school any day any time as matter off fact the school needs to refund money back to students that paid for tuition. All they care about is your money and not the students. It was a very traumatic experience. It was one of the worst decision i have ever made in life to attend that college. I Owe up to 100,000 in debt with no nursing degree to show for. I thank the Almighty God i got my degree from another school with no stress or frustration. Guys open your eyes and look for another school. I just finished my second-year in PharmD program in MCPHS. I’m gonna transfer to Worcester to study the accelerated program. I have had great time in MCPHS so far. All professors are very nice and friendly. I haven’t met any professor who’s not willing to help student wholeheartedly. They always have office hours to answer students’ inquiries and to clarify the lecture in case the students don’t understand. There are absolutely no discrimination in MCPHS. It’s all about respect. Every MCP student is very welcoming so we have a very close-knit community in MCP. The program is well-designed and bearable. Sometime I feel overwhelmed but it’s not impossible to pass as many people say. You just need to put time and effort and you’ll be fine. In short, MCPHS is a great university for those who seriously pursuit a professional career in pharmacy and health sciences.Bill Nguyen

School seemed great when I toured it, but from day 1 that changed. I didn't recieve any of the assistance or help I was told I'd be able to get/be provided with. The dorms had many issues, such as my room along some of my friends rooms lacked door knobs and even locks. In the winter the heat didn't work at all, and for days at a time there would be no hot water through out the building(s). It normally took a day or longer for any form of maintenance/repairs to be done. Was given very little info about/prior to activities and or things going on at the school. The computers throughout the dorms almost never worked so if you don't/didn't have your own computer you couldn't do basically any of the work you'd need to do (for most all work at the school has to be done on the computer or online) and even if you did have your own computer or the ones in the dorms worked the internet barley ever worked, so no matter what getting work done was very difficult. Also, the attendance policy is very strict and no matter what the situation, whether it be a family emergency or just no going to class because you don't want to, if you miss 3 or more straight classes you get kicked out of the school and with little to no prior warning about being kicked out. Overall, I had many issues and problems (some of which are stated, but not all) with this school, which made for a pretty bad college experience. To finish, this school sucks, and is a complete waste of time and money from the moment you start. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS SCHOOL.Adam Hope

I started looking at Bay State College because of the great things I had read and seen online. I requested information and received that promptly. I applied and got accepted. That process was very smooth. I was at a community college before and had some credits that would transfer. Bay State staff helped me with the process and made sure the credits that could transfer would transfer. Fast forward two years. I received my Associate's in Criminal Justice and I am in the Bachelor's program scheduled to be done this year. I have built amazing relationships with professors and staff. They have become more like a family. If I ever have an issue I reach out and someone will always have an answer for me. When they do not, believe me. They find it. There are so many opportunities they have to offer you just have to ask. I am sad my time is coming to an end with Bay State. I graduated from Our Lady of the Elms in 1964, one of 4 Chemistry majors. Afterwards, I worked for the FDA in New York City, the Chemical Abstracts Service in Columbus, OH, and, in 1968, joined the Papal Volunteers for Latin America. I underwent training at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and at the Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. In December, 1968, I arrived in Lima, Peru, where I was assigned to research enzymes in fish meal protein at the Catholic University of Peru. Shortly afterwards, I adopted a tiny baby girl, who is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, TX. I've also lived in Belize, became a technical translator and editor, and ran 2 corporate libraries in Houston. In 1989, I earned a TX teaching certificate in Composite Science, and , in 2001, an MEd in Science Curriculum and Instruction. These are just a few of my accomplishments, and I credit my fantastic education and dedicated faculty at the Elms for my successes. Now, at the age of 73, I am a 50-year member of the American Chemical Society, tutor for Houston Community College, as well as privately, and drive the Houston freeways, I've encountered may challenges along the way, but I'm well prepared.Ann Kelley

I transferred to Elms from HCC and was pleasantly surprised by my experience there. I loved that the campus was small and I loved that because of that, each student got more one on one help. The dining hall is beautiful and new, the library is comfortable and the people there are helpful, and the professors are all amazing at what they do. It's a good 4 year university for commuters and fairly cheap compared to other 4 year universities around the Boston area. I am going into my 4th year now at Salem State and I can say if you don't have a morning class you better leave early for parking because there's simply not enough.Evett Ruiz

I attended the reunion this weekend as a husband. It was an overall pleasurable experience. The campus itself is very nice and meticulously maintained. Bathroom facilities adequate but nothing extraordinary. The BBQ on Saturday afternoon was nice because it was on campus in a very nice area. Music a bit loud for mid afternoon. Food, not great. I really liked the coozie they gave out. The class party Saturday night for the 10 year peeps was fascinating. It was inside a recreation center which seemed like an odd choice given the plethora of really nice areas on campus. The food selection there I thought was good but many in the group strongly disagreed with that sentiment. The tortellini was on point even tho it seemed to light a bit of a fire under my seat if you catch my drift. I was a little disappointed at all events that I had to pay 7$ for a bud light after already purchasing tickets. I will say we popped over to the 5 year reunion and wow, what a treat that event was. Overall it was a nice weekend, BC seemed to do my wife well as she is very smart. Her friends are also very cool. So I would recommend the college. We may send our kids there if my plan to hit the lottery multiple times comes to fruition. Mods for life.Joseph Moran

This review is just the physical campus and has nothing to do with the school's curriculum or getting accepted into the University. That said, this is the most beautiful campus I have ever seen in my life. It was a complete surprise and got me completely off guard. All of the buildings have the same gothic, sandstone color vibe. My son had truly outstanding professors who helped pave the way for success after college. Formed meaningful friendships that will last a lifetime. The first thing I will say about this school is that the student population is one of the rudest and meanest student populations in the country. Everyone I have met at this place is all about appearing cool and smart, and if you don't go to school here you are looked down upon. The dorms are absolutely terrible here and most buildings are made of concrete. Most state universities are the pride of the state but I don't think people view UMass that way. The school used to have friendly students and a low tuition/fees, now it is the exact opposite. When you go to Umass you are paying for a college experience, your not paying for a quality education. Public schools are a major part of the downfall of society, and this school is a perfect example of a school doing that. Every time I have been on this campus I am not acknowledged and if you don't conform to Umass standards you are an outsider. I understand education is important but the students/staff could at least show some respect to people outside their clique of Umass society. Umass has gotten better in some aspects but in many aspects it is still failing. It is not a open minded campus. I think most people who leave this school are so absorbed into a career mindset that they forget that life is about more than just a career and income. A major problem with universities especially UMass is people choose a very narrow path of education. People should be interested in many different fields of knowledge rather than what their major is. Education continues after leaving a school but Umass acts like it ends when you leave school.Jessie Robinson

Great college and infrastructure. This is one of the largest university in New England and very good for computer science and related fields. pros: Good university with excellent infrastructure and ideal environment for student life. Most of the buildings are new and in good condition. Since there is a large student body, you will find many different kinds of student activities like sports activities and other extra curricular activities. Absolutely horrible when it comes to sports and treatment of opposing teams. They have no respect or boundaries. They completely don't take the announcements before the games seriously when they mention no slurs or prejudice. And campus police or staffing barely stopped them from getting too close to the opposing team when trying to intimidate the opposing team. They slandered the opposing team telling them to go back to their "dirty" city and mentioned not speaking Spanish because they don't speak Spanish there. Shameful! Such ignorant, non cultured school.Rachel

I don't find the students our teachers "snobby", like some reviews suggest. The professors definitely expect hard work and effort, and are pretty demanding. But they also will go out of their way to help you learn, including outside of normal office hours. They truly care that you learn, and don't just churn out degrees like most colleges now. The business graduate school rivals Harvard in quality, but also teaches a technology focus like MIT. You can't beat the grad school here, especially the taxation program.David

School with racist students and irresponsible office of student conduct that doesn’t take things seriously. On April 18th 2021 my girl friend and I were assaulted by three (two male one female) Bentley students. While the director of student conduct did write us back that they were going to follow up with their police detective, no updates were made. This was a traumatizing experience and is frustrating that they did not take any action with the report. I am very disappointed with Bentley and their students.Eurey Noguchi

Northeastern offers its students unrivaled access to the world. Needless to say, when I attended NU, I acquired four different international experiences for a total of two years working and studying overseas before graduating college. I completed two six month Co-ops, one for a major financial firm in London and another for a multinational tech company in Paris. Also, during a yearlong study abroad at an English university, I was awarded Full Colours, for competing in rugby at the collegiate level. This was a huge honor! Further, I had an amazing opportunity to attend a tech conference in London where I was heavily involved with innovation working groups. Also, with both London and Paris as my home bases and launching pads to the rest of Europe, I got to go backpacking in England, Ireland, Wales, Italy, Germany, and Russia. Back in the U.S., I completed a six month Co-op for another multinational tech company in Oregon. Even though I was on Co-op, the firm sent me to tech meetings in five major cities, including Honolulu and New York City, where I was the main contact for tech vendors.Michael Bruce

Went to the Graduate Open House there today, I have to say that I were impressed. Everything was well organized: the university tour, the application workshop, multiple aid desks to provide information on every aspect in a student life like financial aid, scholarships, a specific info about the differents college… One thing that I enjoyed most was the exposition on Cuba in Northeastern University Gallery. Worst school I’ve ever attended! IT service has no phone number to reach out. School health insurance never reply your call. International student advisors hard to reach out. Student health center reply your email 3 month later. NEU just admitted as much students as they can each year to make money, and lack to staff to support any students.Belle

Here for the summer. Campus facility is very bad. Drinking water and tap water on campus is suspiciously yellow (go to cafeteria or drink filtered water). Air condition is bad everywhere except in Mars Science. Public transit is very inconvenient. Gym is horrible, with no AC.Eligio Esis

Was a student of MTTI's Medical Coding Program that just graduated this passed June 2022. There were a few bumps in the road during the schooling but overall it is a very good school with active faculty members. Just wanted to review mainly to highlight Mrs Rocc. She is extremely empathetic and tries for every student that enters her classroom. The trick with her is if you are struggling or have a question LET HER KNOW. If she knows she will tell you or guide you depending on scenario. And if she doesn't, she will hands down be right there with you looking for an answer to help! She doesn't give up on students. And she genuinely cares. Even now she checks in on me to see how I'm doing in my career path! Also Shawn the Career coordinator. He is very good at what he does! He will guide you through the school year with resume prep, interview prep, job search, and still emails after you graduated to update you on employment opportunities. He responds back to questions and emails quickly and tries for the students of MTTI. Extremely professional and a great addition to the faculty at MTTI.Katrina C

I had a really great experience both teachers were awesome! I started off not knowing anything about bikes and by the end of the year I restored a whole bike in two months. The teachers were very patient and listened to me whenever I was having trouble. They helped me learn things step by step and went over everything multiple times to make sure everyone understood all the details. The class work and notes were very clear and they gave us a good amount of time to study before each test. The textbooks and shop assignments were very helpful and made everything a lot more clear. It helped me a lot learning in class then going into the shop and doing job sheets and being hands on. They always made sure everyone was on the same page and never rushed. I took the residential and commercial electrical course and came in as a no nothing and left as one of the top students, which I had never done before and I have to thank my instructor Rick and skills instructor Dennis for guiding me through this process. I couldn’t have done it without their knowledge and guiding and believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Going to a school in where you’re actually invested in what’s going on makes learning so much easier because you actually want to be there and are invested. I also want to thank Shawn for making the job search process a breeze and helping me find a quality career. All in all MTTI is a great school filled with hands on learning and instructors determined to see you succeed. Anyone considering enrolling should do so you won’t regret it.Dimitri Graca

I am currently a student at this institute. They are extremely unorganized. This administration is absolutely worthless. They try to have the students waste time as much as possible on things that are irrelevant to education so that the students simply do not have enough time to study. The school makes approximately $30M per semester and they do not reinvest that money into the program. They will take your money in the 1st semester and have you take out a tremendous loan. They pay to get high ratings. The most hilarious thing about this program is this. They charge $30K per semester, however if you work for them as a student, you only get minimum wage. MGH Hospital does not give this institute any special treatment. It is only in the name. U-Mass Boston is actually the program with which MGH Hospital has a relationship. The primary concern I have is with the administration of this institute. I simply do not understand why it is so unnecessarily worthless. They will waste your time and your money. The degree will cost you 2x of whatever you have been quoted. Be prepared for that.Sales Crypt

I found the quality of this institution to be beyond excellent! The professors are not only experts in their field but they are also very prominent and well known in international circles. I am in the PhD program in Health Professions Education and have had the most amazing experience. My advisor has devoted herself to my success and continues to do so, connecting me with prominent scholars and professionals and helping me to think forward and plan my next steps after graduation.
