20 Best Physician Assistant Programs In Minneapolis, MN (2022 Updated)

Think twice before attending this institution. I was enrolled to begin classes in the fall semester. One week before they began, DCTC contacted me saying they no longer offered the program that I signed up for. Again, ONE WEEK before classes began. This left me almost no time to scramble around looking for another school to attend for the fall semester. That kind of behavior is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. The whole process just felt off anyway. They were always slow to respond, they fought every step of the way when I presented transfer credits from another institution. I was somewhat relieved in a way knowing I wouldn't have to deal with them any further. What a waste of time.Adam

Didn’t have the best experience overall. The instructor for the automotive technology class was only genuine once while he was teaching me something. Every other time, there was sarcasm and rudeness when trying to ask him questions. Not to mention half of the kids (quote “kids”) in the class were constantly on their phones and messing around. I wouldn’t have minded, except that we were placed in groups, therefor graded as a group. I wouldn’t return for the fact that I learned more working 3 months on the job than I did going 6 months to school, not to mention it was paid for.Sebastian Dina

Received my second degree here and they accepted a respectable number of credits from a previous college. Someone from admin called me a year or so after graduation and asked if I had gotten anywhere with my degree. When he found out what I was doing and where I had gotten in life he nearly dropped the phone. Thanks DCTC for sending me places in life I didn’t think were possible. My husband & I graduated from what was then Bethel College & Seminary in 1968. My years there are among the best of my life! We were privileged to sing with the College Choir – the best of the best of my lifetime experiences. I most highly recommend Bethel to anyone trying to select the best college to attend. I especially recommend it to music majors as their music program is outstanding! Bethel is a Christian University with a student body consisting primarily of dedicated Christian young people. As with any Christian school, there are a few students who are sent there by their parents with the hope that the school will straighten them out. Fortunately, these students are few and far between! So forever grateful I was able to spend 4 amazing years at this school. I am not sure what the other people reviewing recently are talking about, as I felt the community at this campus is very welcoming and friendly. It is a catholic school so they do teach and emphasize catholic studies, however there are many classes that center around other beliefs. I never felt like my beliefs were being stomped on, and I am not catholic. Also, if you are worried about your social life and getting the college experience, don't be! You can definitely still have the college experience and attend St. Kate's. The campus always has activities going on, and there are many schools in the area. First I want to say my advisor was amazing she was super helpful through all this mess. I was supposed to start this month but they said they were missing things so I couldn’t get in until the next semester when they had everything. but we had already sent them everything we had sent to every other college we applied to. They were the only ones we had this problem with. They then today told me that we weren’t gonna be accepted due to the fact that they don’t accept the accredited bodies that my school was accredited by due to varying standards idk what that means. This school is way too expensive for an OTA degree. You can also get the same online degree at less expensive colleges. I do not recommend St. Kate’s to anyone. Unless you have the extra money to waste. Plus, their requirements are ridiculous. I currently attend a different college online. I have four remaining courses left of my program, three are offered spring semester while one isn't offered until fall. The one course I need that isn't available at my current college is available at Inver Hills which is why I enrolled in the course for spring. Upon completion, the course I take will transfer back to my original college so I can graduate spring. I have worked out all the details with my current college about this arrangement. I need Inver Hills to provide some bits of information and complete a form. I have spent the last week calling Inver Hills to which nobody responds. I have tried calling different departments-financial aid, admissions, etc. to which nobody responds. I have sent multiple emails to which I received only one response telling me to look at the Web site. Inver Hill's communication with students is terrible! This is ridiculous. What are the advisors and admission staff doing all day where they cannot be bothered to answer a phone call, email, or provide information?!Kat Elizabeth

I haven't even started the semester yet and have had everything that could possibly go wrong do so. They transferred my credits incorrectly which set back my registration by a few weeks, after two months my financial aid is still "processing" even after multiple phone calls being reassured it would be through the next day. Having no financial aid means my text book order was cancelled. And a week before classes start they dropped one of my courses putting me short on credits for graduation. No matter what time of day I call any department no one ever seems to answer and we play phone tag for days. All in all my experience seems to indicate that no one really cares about helping students and just goes through the motions. I must ask those who complained about this school why did you enroll? I found my education and time here at Inver Hills highly useful. Why spend 64 credits when you can earn your 2 year degree for 60 credits and half the cost of your tuition at other community colleges? If you make the most of your time in school and do your work on time. You could get a lot out of it and done with a degree with the field of your choice. You can even take an advanced degree such as a Bachelors here. I love that I do not need to go to a main campus and take courses at IHCC. I am back to finish a few credits at IHCC and transfer to Metro State University to complete my Bachelors. Just like you shop for cars, the latest technology, and other stuff why not compare schools? They want everyone to attend classes on campus. Come on. They proudly and loudly proclaim "Saint Paul College – We're Back this Fall". There are multiple new COVID variants out now with record hospitalizations in MN but Saint Paul college wants us all on campus. My wife and I are both working from home. Our employees cared enough about our safety to let us do this, but Saint Paul college wants us all on campus. My wife is taking classes at a private college and they told her all classes will be online, at least for now. No need to risk your health and come in, but Saint Paul college wants us all on campus. Thankfully I did my research by talking to them and decided against going here. Spending a little more so that I can stay at home and take my Lit classes online. Don't bother with this place. If you can, spend a little extra and have the peace of mind that you won't end up in the ICU with a tube down your throat. There, I did my research so you don't have to. Feel free to call them. I havnt attended this school, & along with my experience so far & reading the reviews I may not. I have a degree; however, I work as a nursing assistant. I love my job, but I often see aids being treated pretty poorly. So, as I get older, I thought maybe I could look into being an LP . In this role, I could work fairly with the aides around me…blah, blah, blah. So I requested more information. I recieved no call back, only an email saying I had to put an application in. Eh, no. I want information from you, to see if this is a good fit, so I can decide if I want to put an application in….I guess, maybe within the bigger picture, I did get the information I needed.Jane Hallett

I ate at the City View Cafe at St. Paul College. This is the cafe that is operated by the students in the culinary program. I recently enjoyed the Valentines Tasting menu and it was fantastic. The only criticism I had for the meal was the shell on the dessert was a bit thick (I cannot believe I am complaining about dessert). It was hard to gracefully eat but it was so worth it. The combination of flavors was divine. If this meal was any indication of the talent these students have, we are going to have sone great chefs (hopefully in the Twin Cities area) in the future.Sharon Moen

Bethany Lutheran Church, worshipping virtually (Zoom), physically distancing, but keeping our ties is now conducting the Sunday at 10 am Worship Services from the beautiful Gundale Chapel on Augsburg Campus. At this time limited to only worship leaders on site we are looking forward to when we can safely gather in person. Augsburg University and especially Leif Anderson has been wonderful to work with as Bethany moves out into the community and into a public church in passing on its physical building to Augsburg. Augsburg's support of spiritual and faith growth of its students and community within different religions is a joy to see and Bethany is glad to be a part of that.Lorraine Wookey

The cafeteria is subpar, not only in food quality, but in sanitary means. There is low variety and Augsburg encourages food waste by requiring that students' meals fit certain criteria, because they are paid to do so. As for cleanliness, the floors are sticky, and it is common to find a crushed banana or two on the floor. The tables and floors are not cleaned regularly, if at all, resulting in an unhealthy eating environment, full of bacteria. My mother, sister, and I are all proud alumnus of Augsburg (Class of 97', 08' & '16). The professors are great – they are always willing to help a student. Every year, at the beginning of the Fall Semester, students go out and volunteer around the community. They invite well-known speakers (i.e. Bill Nye, Steve Wozniak, and Jimmy Carter) to campus; both the public and students are invited to attend. They are open to all regions, not just Lutherans. I would recommend this school to anyone, but consider going to Community College then transferring, it helps with the cost.Tiffiney Biorn

When I first started signing up for my MBA I advised them that I had just graduated with my bachelors degree. My goal was to start August 5, and I submitted all my necessary paperwork and cooperated as such. When it got to my transcripts I was advised I could not start because the conferral date was not on the transcripts. The enrollment specialist told me to reach out to my previous school. I did and it was a hassle. I called the enrollment specialist at Capella to advise of the updates to only find out that Capella’s registrar team had already been in contact with my school. I wanted to start on the 5th as it was very discouraging to go through the process to be turned away at last minute. 1). Total waist of time as I took time out of my day to complete orientation and do what they advised of me. 2) I asked to speak with a supervisor who was very vague and could not provide the information needed. 3) I again called Capella to try and escalate the situation, but the manager never returned my call. I feel as if they had me sign up because they were the ones to get paid for each student to enroll and failed to educate me properly in the beginning, which is very misleading and discouraging. Since no one wanted to comply and take responsibility I will be escalating this to the BBB as this is not my fault and I should had been able to start in the promised time given and should have been educated properly.Tearra McCray

The worst university ever! They made me waste my time and my money from the first day, every time I communicated with them each counselor told me something different, and more than a month passed and I did not have an accurate answer on the status of my application, after a month a person from human resources let me know that I had to do my transcripts equivalency again on another website because the one I had already sent twice to them waiting for they review it (and that they themselves told me it was okay to do it that way) was not valid for them to take me into account to start the course this past October. 1- First time the transcripts were not encrypted, so they asked my to ask the institution they send it again but encrypted this time and I did it and sent it again. And after that they let me know that didn’t work for them. So I wasted my time, my money and above all the opportunity to start on the desired date. A very bad job of the staff. Very bad communication with the students who want to start there, and they also contradict each other. They all say different things and waste your time. They are also very rude. I hope that no one has this bad experience, nor misses the opportunity to start the course on the date they planned, and due to the horrible work of other people you lose opportunities in life.Claudia Espinosa

From the beginning of my Master's level school search, Capella stood out. I had a great recommendation from a friend already, but in researching complete online programs to work with my schedule, Capella checked all of the boxes I needed. I had a wonderful experience with my admissions counselor and continue to have great interactions with all communication. I am happy with all faculty thus far and feel that I am learning exactly what I need for my future as a school counselor. The course load is what I expected it to be and the time I spend on classwork is time well spent. I feel very confident that I will be prepared to enter the field of school counseling when I graduate. The very first thing Capella does once you are enrolled is to start you in a class to help navigate your program and get you familiar with the online format. This helped immensely and calmed my nerves for entering into a graduate program online. I feel very well cared for and have not had a negative experience yet! I’m currently going to Summit, Now Summit is amazing. It truly is, They will try and help. However, I don’t think that this is the BEST option for most people with children, or bills or that have to overall deal with not being able to work 8:30am – 2:50pm. I’ll explain why. First, Summit is free. That’s not a lie. They do provide you with steel toe boots and a computer to start. That’s it! See, Summit is only free because they only take part in grants from FAFSA. You cannot apply for loans, Summit doesn’t take part in FAFSA loans. This is conflicting with schooling. You’ll have to pay $2.50 every morning (RUSH HOUR) to get to campus if you don’t have a car and take Metro Transit. The 19, and C-LINE run directly in front of Summit. It is also $2.50 to leave campus, (RUSH HOUR) totaling $5.00 a day. Good luck! So, they give out discounted bus cards also….discounted. You have to pay out of pocket to get it. They do give out grocery cards I believe $400 worth. That is week 3, same with Bus Card. They will not give you notebooks, backpacks, pencils, or the required pants they tell you to have. Did I mention they do not allow for you to apply for FAFSA loans? So if you’re following, after they take your Grant money you get $0.00 for start up help. You get $0.00 to pay rent with, buy groceries etc. things that a college would normally give to any 18 year old. In other words, there’s a 18 year old getting a better education than you at the community college (Minneapolis Community & Technical College) less than 1.5 miles away, and of course. They do get FAFSA, Grants & Loans. Easily over $3,000 just to help you focus on SCHOOLING. Now, I’ve shown up to classes and the teachers are on Thanksgiving break. That’s FINE! But if the student doesn’t show up for that class no one is teaching, You’ll get a tardy or whatever they call it. Splendid! 2 stars, because it is FREE, it is a trade school. No you will not get FAFSA loans while schooling. They give out $2,500 week 18. 18 weeks and you’ve made $2,500. That is a joke. My rent alone is $1,145.00. They will offer you work study! It’s 2 hours a day at $15.00 an hour. When applying to Summit do not even think you’ll get any financial help from the government that goes directly to you. You will have to pay for transportation. You will have to pay for all your materials. You will have to pay. Pell Grant clears for $6,045 at most. Summit used all my Pell Grant and I didn’t get a penny to help with expenses! Thanks Summit! Glad to put myself in a hole so deep, it’s hard to see light. Thanks for lying to me about Financial Aide during my FAFSA appointment. Had I known I wouldn’t get financial help to sit in a classroom from 8:30am-2:50pm, I would’ve directed my wife and Newborn daughter to a different path. Not this one, Not by a long shot! One last thing, for you women out there with kids. I know one with 7 kids, when she expressed how she needed extra help and that after 2:50PM she’s completely done with schooling because she needs to focus on her kids.This was the response she got; “Don’t excuse yourself with excuses.” 👍Sunny Muhammad

Overall a great school and every staff who works there, especially Dr King, truly is living their dream (helping students better their lives). Ms. Crystal keeps track of every student, which is a really good thing because it shows how committed Summit is to their students. I was referred to Summit by my brother who had completed his electrician program and is now working as an electrician. I took a different route though, I signed up for their IT program. I was excited to start. But I soon realized their IT program wasn't what i thought it'd be. We learned about ITIL which the professors explained over and over again that it was highly recommended by other IT professionals that they do not teach us ITIL, yet the professors at Summit decided to do so anyways. I feel like the IT professors at Summit taught ITIL the way they thought was right, even when it was not correct. The whole IT program consisted of presentations which i understood because if an IT tech wanted to present an idea to their boss, they would need presentation skills. But I didnt think the whole program needed to be focused on presentations. Some of the IT professors werent on the same page. Needless to say, I dropped out of their IT program and started a different IT program and i learn so much better now. Summit is a great school overall. I think they need a lot (and I mean A LOT) of improvement in their IT program though.M Y

I went to this Community College back in the Mid-2000s. When I first started, I scored very low on the English/Math/Comprehension Reading so I had to start with the prerequisite course before I could entered the college level courses. After a year and a half, I struggled with the academic (English/Math/Comprehension Reading) and all the teachers I had at that time would just advise me to go to the computer lab/learning room for help and never did help me improve on a one-on-one basic. I felt like I was never appreciated in those classes. At that current time, D2L was starting in place so portion of the classes' discussion/homework were online. I still remember other students never helping me and always correcting or making fun of my errors in writing. There was a teacher's conference one-on-one meeting with every student and I still remembered it until this day. The last words from that teacher was, " With how you are doing in this class, you will not make it and I would have to fail you." I dropped out of Century College soon after and owed a couple thousand dollars in debt. Long story short: Then I decided to transferred to InverHills Community College (IHCC) and that was where the difference came in. The feeling and care for the students were so different. Teachers' there at InverHills Community College were able to help and assist me to improve my academic issues that I had. I still remember a teacher staying 30 minutes-45 minutes later after class just to help me everytime. I graduated at IHCC with my associate's degree then proceed onwards to finishing my Double Major Bachelor's Degree at MetroState University.John Bradley

Apathetic faculty providing misinformation at an obvious cash grab. The counselors are useless and ended up providing me with false information that delayed my education while also costing me thousands of dollars. They absolutely refused to take any responsibility and side-stepped my inquiries every single time. While I did have some excellent instructors, it was always a toss up what type of instructor I would get. Four times out of five I ended up with an instructor who either didn't care about the class they were teaching or just plain didn't have the aptitude to teach the class. Most times I ended up teaching my courses to myself. There really seems to be no standard of education that the faculty strives for. I would not recommend anyone to attend this college. Before I get a response from anyone at Century I'll make it known that I have no interest in filling out any sort of suggestion card or survey. Enroll here. I'm highly satisfied with my experience at Century College as a student. The post-secondary education community here has gone beyond my expectations to support my continued education as a transfer student. I'm thankful for the experienced instructors, who have given me a wealth of knowledge here. The support staff are excellent, including TLC, Writing Center, Math Center, Advising, Counseling, Information Technologists, and Librarians. They connect students with excellent resources outside of the classroom. The resources available here are comparable to any private institution, and cost per credit is the most affordable on the market.Louise Brask

Saw a PA about my lower back pain; he clearly had no idea what he was talking about. I had to suggest courses of action for care to which he then agreed upon. Every answer he gave me sounded like he was questioning himself. He told me to rest and if it wasn’t better in a few weeks we’d do an injection. A few weeks later after the recommended rest, I messaged the same PA saying I wanted a steroid injection. After some back and forth, he agreed. When the radiology place called to schedule, they informed me that the PA had ordered an ablation procedure that required 2 test injections, instead of the steroid injection. After the 2 test injections, my insurance company denied the ablation because there wasn’t enough evidence in the report by the PA of lumbar joint pain. I went back to TC Spine (after scheduling with an INCREDIBLY rude front desk person) I saw a surgeon who was friendly but basically said he has no idea what’s wrong and I have to just keep going through the pain. I went to Summit Orthopedics and it was night and day from TC spine. Everyone at Summit was caring and took me seriously, presenting options for care. Every doctor and PT I have seen since going to TC spine has questioned why they would recommend an ablation procedure before a steroid injection. Big huge swing and a miss in my care from TC Spine and I will never go back.Sami Kleiner

I had T6,7 fusion with Dr. Dennis several years back. I was one of his last patients when he retired. He is and was a total God sent! I can't thank him enough for what he did to help me! I know he couldn't get the vertebrae off of my spinal cord so he decided to still fuse on cord for stability and I'm going strong when it pertains to my upper back. I wished he was still around to perform my lower back fusions. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Dennis! I love you so much and appreciate all you did for me and so many, many more! I first met Dr. Garvey back in 2011 I was scared and in a lot of pain! It’s because of him I’m walking today. Whenever something happens and my primary Dr. isn’t quite sure what to do because of how severe my back was before surgery I get ahold of Dr. Garvey. Everyone who works with him including the receptionist are so friendly and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. The only complaint I have is he’s up in the city I hate the city’s but I trust Dr. Garvey.Ellie Tolzmann

it seems like a good place by how it looks on the inside and out, so I don't question its legitimacy. But the way communication is done is very iffy. It doesn't make me wonder if anything is dubious is going on, but it's very blatantly disorganized. they're not good at getting back to emails and phone calls, and I went in to talk to someone in person and even that was disorganized. the community speaks very highly of it, so I'm still going to give it a shot with the classes, but I am very skeptical of how this is going to go. Edit: they scheduled a class on veterans day causing people to miss a day into training and certifications because of that day. veterans day isn't new, and I feel it was a very negligent for them to not plan that out better. They also don't keep up with their website, flyers, and updates. This is all really poor communication, on their end. They don't even care to give a call to let you know building is closed when in fact exam is scheduled and after taking off time from work when i arrive its closed. and when i call them they were so careless and the lady who picked the phone try to tell me pearson due should have notified you and should have known we are closed … she says the person who can help you not working this week and call next week ? is this customer service ? "Profit over Patient" that's Allina's motto. Your rights & wishes are totally disregarded. My son has 2 stents in his stomach placed by MNGI to drain a cyst surrounding the pancreas. The surgeon left the stents inplace. The patient requested the stents to be removed immediately but the surgeon Dr. Rossi refused the patients wishes & order. (stents have history of clogging or breaking off & causing death). Patient was deeply concerned but concerns feel on deaf ears. His primary Dr. Micah Johnson literally ducked his head & refuses to take charge & act like a primary doctor & order MNGI to remove the stents. Dr. Johnson I believe is afraid of Allina & what they inforce thier doctors to do. "Profit over Patient". Plus, he's afraid of losing his job. Allina has removed doctors who buck thier system. & orders. The patient now has gone with these stents past the stents life & fears for his life. Patient now is seeking health coverage at another care center not Allina. Were he will receive quality care from a medical staff that is not "Profit over Patient". Patient wishes only to be treated like a human should be treated, with dignity & respect. Not just "Profit".Mark Borgan

My experience at Allina corporate was pretty good. I needed my infant sons medical records in order to acquire a replacement SS card for him. As a minor, this was the only ID the SS office would except. I spoke with the records department in person and was told it would take 24 hours to complete my request. Not a great system they have in place and it was aggravating to drive to Minneapolis from Hastings twice in two days, but that’s life. Employee whom I dealt with was friendly and knowledgeable and good at her work.James Berreth

This experience has taught me that age does not matter once you put heart soul into what you want to do and accomplish in life. I have had the pleasure interacting with some awesome instructors who pushed me in reaching outside the box, and Ms. Fey is one of those instructors who not only pushed but gave me feedback on my assignments that at first caused me to feel as though I was not doing a decent job, but she said something to me that I will never forget and that was, "it is not all about the grade but what I gain in the knowledge of learning the material and succeed in my future endeavors. I would also like to show my appreciation to my advisor Mr. Mike Holdfelt for being there for any questions or concerns that I had throughout my journey here at Rasmussen University. I joined Rasmussen University in 2019 for an accelerated program in Healthcare Administration. At that time, my Admissions Advisor, Ashleigh Voigtschild, guided me through the program requirements and explained the courses and enrollment process in detail. I was able to transfer all the classes I took from my previous educational institute. Further, I was connected with the Advising Manager for this campus, Michael Hofeldt, who was also my Academic Advisor. He helped me tremendously with any questions and concerns I had. Everyone I interacted with has been nothing but communicative, professional, and helpful. The professors, online tutoring services, Rasmussen's online library, and other helpful tools and resources embedded in the system, along with my hard work, helped me excel in the program. I would recommend this institute to anyone who is serious about changing their lives and stepping into the professional world.Hajira Siddiqui

MUST READ IF YOU ARE GOING TO SCHOOL FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION***** I enrolled for Early Childhood Education. The professors are trash. None are on the same page, despite the fact they are supposed to follow the same rubric standards. They are not helpful, and treat you like you’re the problem despite when you have evidence they were the ones in the wrong. The summer classes were just repeating the same exact information and it felt like a waste of time like you were not being taught anything. I sent an email to my student advisor to let her know I disenroll effective immediately and Melanie never even bothered to email or call to ask what the problem was or to see why. I feel like I was scammed. Do not go to this school, completely disorganized and a disgrace. Also if you want to open a home daycare you do not need a degree! You just contact your county social service worker to get set up!Darien Menyaoui

This clinic is the most horribly managed health clinic. I often have to call several times to get my prescriptions refilled. They say things like “I’llsend a note to the nurse to get your prescriptions refilled and have them call you back when it’s done.” They never call! Then when I call back they say “We don’t have any record that you even called.” I call weeks in advance of need the prescriptions refilled to give them plenty of time to end up having to call every day because I’m out of my meds. Nobody should ever get to the point where they are out of their meds! It’s ridiculous! They constantly pass the buck saying well so and so must not have done whatever thing or blame it on the patient rather than take responsibility for dropping the ball and trying to do better. I’m so fed up! I wish there was a way to report them. So sad that they are like this. People deserve better! They don’t even deserve 1 star.Mary Fitzgerald

I have received multiple services from the Dental Clinic. I feel the clinic has well intentions for the community, however I feel there is a lot going on behind the scenes that someone should look into maybe the treatment of it's employees from management is what I am directly referring to. Their policies virtually seem to corner the employee which may explain their high turnover. Being released or let go from a job for filing a complaint against another employee doesn't seem correct and comes off as retaliatory. With this being an FQHC hiring from the community that is very very concerning. Definitely needs a deeper look! Thanks again for readingMychael Tyler

Southside Vision Clinic is the absolute worst medical experience I've ever had. The office hours are not only absurd but during their hours of operation they still seem to be closed. The staff continuously sends my calls to voicemail, when I am simply requesting my information to send to another clinic. The office was recently damaged with sewer water making it unsanitary and uncomfortable. I would never recommend anyone to go through this clinic because it is simply a complete waste of time. Overall my quality of life has decreased because I have not gotten the eye care I need and the frustration has raised my blood pressure levels.Winny Tea

My review is to the emergency department. I went in as a walk in. After trying 3 other clinics with no luck. It was a little of a wait but was able to be seen by Dr. Adamzaq and Ana. Treatment is not guaranteed when you walk in and is explained by the team. They also only focus one problem at the time, if you expect to solve all of your issues in one emergency visit it’s not going to Happen. But it’s amazing how quick they move to ensure they see and get out of pain everyone they see. They genuinely care to provide excellent care. On the other hand their hygiene department needs improvement, they have a 2-3 month waiting list. And they need help answering phone calls.Hellboy Darkness

I'm in the process of having a considerable amount of work done on my teeth. I've been going in every 2-3 weeks for the past six months or so and have about 3-5 more appointments to go before all of the work is finished. All of the staff have always been kind, considerate, non judgemental and make sure I'm comfortable. Their offices & equipment are newer & are always clean. They do regular sanitizing of all surfaces. Southside Dental is where my six year old granddaughter had her first ever dental experience & they were Amazing with her! I highly recommend them.Kendra Seth

When I was going to school before COVID, it was really great. I am on my last semester here now, and it's been a struggle. I used to be able to go to the tech departments study room to hang out with peers and get help from tutors. Now, it's practically impossible to get a hold of school counselors, there is MAYBE 1 tutor available, and it ultimately feels like none of the staff really care to much about their jobs. I would have given this school a lower rating, but I understand that this is probably the case for most schools right now. It's just a shame that the year I decided I wanted an education, COVID hits and all of a sudden I no longer get the same services, benefits, attention, and resources I used to get.Joshua Smith

Just joined the COTA program and am loving it. Very nice teachers who really care about our sucesss. It's a lot more work than doing generals but if you know what you want to do it's worth it! Biggest downside to the college is their advising and financial aid staff can be very unhelpful at times and bounce you around from person to Person with no good answers..I have gone to financial aid window a few times and been given a flyer or sent to the bookstore..very frustrating and not helpful. I went to Anoka Ramsey for generals and they had a much better more personal and clear system for helping students. But once all that got figured out I've enjoyed all of my teachers and classes.Lauren Shultz

I can't speak for other programs and their staff, but the Automotive Technician program is outstanding and the Instructors are as well. They are always seeking ways to improve and stay current with the industry. Lessons learned from their experiences in the field are passed on through a great hands on learning. I'm a big believer in hands on learning in fields such as this one. Room theory on the subject to be learned is engaging and easy to follow along. Then, lectures and knowledge is applied in the lab. Great course. Highly recommend above other schools such as UTI and those like it.Zachary Karna

Do your research on employable fields, obviously, and go from there. The size of the U allows anonymity for those who want it, or intensely personal experiences through volunteering, groups, serving on boards, research opportunities, etc. I did all of those things while doing my undergrad at the U, and went on to happily accept an offer to do grad school there as well. I worked my butt off, but did end up landing an amazing job. I will be paying them appalling amounts of money well into my mid-to-late 40's, but that problem extends far beyond this one school. I have some of my best friends and memories from the U, as well as a great education. Highly recommended.Maureen Laufenberg

I graduated from this University. It is one of the top ranked research institutions in the country. Their pharmacy school is ranked second in the nation and believe me they deserve it. Excellent instructors and facilities. You are treated with respect by your professors. The campus is beautiful and the student body friendly. Minneapolis has a reputation as the biggest small town you'll ever know. Large metropolitan area but the people are friendly and down to earth. I love this place.Cary Miller

If you don't get weeded out in your first two years, you will enjoy the upper level courses. The best years were in junior and senior years where I interacted closely with accomplished faculty and their research. They don't give away degrees at this school. The University demands that you be resourceful and if you are used to being babied you will not survive this school or life, for that matter. I have the U of MN to thank for giving me the career I have.Nino B.
