4 Best Dental Assistant Programs In Omaha, NE (2022 Updated)

I was looking into dental assisting so that I could build a strong foundation in the dental field before continuing my process of going into dental hygiene. This program was amazing at helping me do so since the classes were very small and we got a lot of hands on clinical experience as well, so I know when I start actually working in a dental office I won't be nervous working on real patients since that is what I have been doing here. Dr. Bob and Sharlene Wilson run their office well and in an organized manner and the instructor, Candi, is very helpful and fun to be around and learn from. Heartland dental assisting is an excellent program definitely worth every penny! All of the staff were extremely nice, vary caring, and super understanding. It really felt like home I had fun every time I came in it never felt like school, and they really set you up to succeed. The curriculum Is easy to understand, you cover a lot in the 10 weeks and you get to practice hands on!! I had the privilege of attending this school over a decade ago. I was offered multiple jobs immediately upon graduation and took one at Emergency Dental which is part of the school. I was a valued team player, and was given responsibility to help train the new students at the dental office through the school in their clinical hours, and eventually offered a job as an instructor through the school as well! I love this profession, and I LOVE the school. Traditional College is not right for everyone, which makes this school an absolute gem for those of us who learn by doing. Hands on experiences, labs, and interactive lectures that accommodate all kinds of learning styles. Of course there is still bookwork, and tests but it all comes together in a unique experience to each student. Do the work, be responsible, and you’ll go far. We are here to help you, but, you only get out, what you put in. I’d love to help you get started in your career in the dental world! My instructor worked with me one on one to make sure I knew dental procedures. She took the time to make sure not only myself, but other students were ready to handle the dental world in real life. She has taught me to be professional and gave me the knowledge to help with patient care.
