20 Best Radiology Programs In Washington, DC (2022 Updated)

Word of advice: try and transfer out of this ghetto school as soon as possible. It'll save you the headache. TAKE ONLINE CLASSES! That way, you will not have to deal with their crap. The only good thing you'll find about this school is the cheap tuition, some good professors if you can find the right ones. So far, I managed to have good ones. And a few nice students along the way. But the unprofessional, unorganized with the admins, staff, etc is a nightmare. I'm speaking from experience with the financial aid and trying to sign up for classes. They act like they don't know what they're doing. Not to mention, you try to be friendly and they give you attitude like you did something wrong. Plus, the staff and admins are incredibly immature and straight up bullies. When you ask for help, they will act irritated, rude or expect you to it yourself. You know that you are going to be around students all day long, and if that is something you cannot handle or deliver civil professionalism, then why are you working here to begin with? Oh yeah, because they just hire anybody, and just hungry for a paycheck. Oh and also, people just tell you different answers or just straight up lie to you. If I had the choice, I would not spend another semester here for another minute. They really need to do something about this ghetto, unprofessional, unorganized, low class school and hire better admins, staff, etc too. I'll be so glad when I'm able to leave this school because I will not miss it. I'm sticking to my statement that Virginia schools are better. Also, another thing to add is that the advisers do not know how to do their jobs! They are just there for the title, so know what YOU want and YOUR plan, because these advisers will just tell you anything. In addition, they will act so conceited to make you look stupid. That's why I'm going with my own plan, and I can't wait to leave this school in the spring of 2018. It has been nothing but very poor. They just want your money. This school is nothing but a joke. I hated this college including all staffs, administration and president of this college I had many issues with back when I was attending this college. Yes, I graduated in 2004, made very high grades and achieve my goals, but the President of this college did nothing about my situation. She failed to do her job claiming that she will not bar a student for harassing me. She is very lucky I did not sue her before I graduated. Other people has complained about allowing non-visitors attending to this school for no reason. This brings a major concern about safety. I would advise no one attend to this school. It sure has very poor administration. I do not care what that president said, she is a very poor administrator. I am glad I am moving out of this state and I will be a excellent administrator this president of this college. We need to hire new administrators in this college and make changes in this college and other schools. I wonder why there are so many bad reviews about this school. It's not as bad as I thought or as I read. Yes, I did have a bad impression at first because I was supposed to take four courses, now I'm taking three because of their carelessness. But that's the only problem I've encountered here. My professors are good. I read bad reviews about the financial aid also but there was no problem with my financial aid and everything went smoothly. Overall, this school is not so bad. I applied here and got in but communicating with my admissions counselor was very difficult. I asked her several times about financial aid and if I would receive any. When I DID get a hold of her she just told me that she's been very busy and to call back later. Which I did, she did not answer, and instead of answering my question she left me and my high school counselor a voice mail asking us to call her once again later. While the food was descent, the service was so so. Once the cashier finally paid attention to us and we were able to order, she was very friendly. Today I visited the hospital during a severe nosebleed at 5:45 am this morning. I was told to have a seat. Approximately 40 minutes later, I was final sent to triage where my vitals were taken and then told to have another seat back in the waiting with no help with the nosebleed. I got up a few times during the next 2 hours to tell the receptionist that I was having trouble breathing and swallowing due to the clotting in my nose. I was told they could render no help until seen by a doctor. I was there from 5 am until 3:45 pm with no food, water or mediation and I was not the only one. At 3:45 pm I received a room where I was given a prescription for over-the-counter saline drops and discharged at 6 pm. Most people left the hospital today because we could not get help. The Sunday before, I went to the same hospital for the same issue which is unusual to me; the service was great the nurses assisted with my issue and pulled a resident to assist me in stopping the bleeding. I received some sort of treatment and was out in 5 hours. Not sure what happened today but it sucked. 12 hours for saline drops ridiculous!Kim G

For the past 2 months, I have been fortunate enough to be seen at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. I am new to Washington DC, so it is the first time I have experienced the level of care that goes on there. Because I have several physical issues to deal with, I am at the hospital a couple of times a week. The Doctors have been able to diagnose and begin treatment for .a couple of major physical issues that I have. The Physical Therapy team that is working with me is showing me great kindness and patience. There is a confidence and optimistic feeling among the staff that permeates the hospital. You can’t help but feel better after spending time with this crew. I have never felt so comfortable in a hospital before, or looked forward to going to it! I am so grateful for the professionalism and the knowledge that the doctors and nurses have. I am looking forward to healing in a better life because of their care. So to the doctors, nurses, therapists and the rest of the staff, please know how much we appreciate all the hard work that you do for us. You are greatly appreciated and loved! I went to the emergency department so I have no knowledge of the rest of the hospital. I should also say that I was having major issues when I arrived and was sent back very, very quickly. I could give it a poor review because my nurse disappeared on me after telling me they needed to do a test, it took a very long time to get anyone when I called, and the other people in my room were seriously struggling. But ultimately every single person I talked to (maybe 12?) was incredibly concerned, compassionate, and kind, and it felt like they truly cared. They were clearly overworked and understaffed but it seemed to me that they were doing their very best. Emergency departments are wild and I don’t blame them for not being totally on top of everything/everyone. Especially since I was just chilling quietly. So I’m not basing this review on the organization (which seems flawed) but the people within it, who seem wonderful. And because of them, I would go back.Allie Callahan

The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!Henok D

Worst administration I have ever had to deal with. Not only do they never respond to email or phone calls, they can't even keep track of ELECTRONIC applications, that required my daughter to submit 3 times and be forced enrolled late into classes due to their incompetence. But they also can't even have the literacy to read the applications correctly to charge the correct rate to students. They went ahead to charge not only my daughter but several other students out-of-state resident rates when all their applications illustrated DC residents. Like how can you not even read what's on the applications! How many other students were charged nearly 3 times when they should have been charged as a DC residents scares me on the level of corruption and neglect this body demonstrates to it's it's attendees.0 Then to not even have the decency and competence to even respond to emails and calls to try to correct this is just completely absurd, no wonder UDC is a laughing stock of a school to attend they can't even serve as a place to get extra credits for actual schools. How neglectful can you be to students and applicants, like seriously!Edgar E

Okay So I applied about 3weeks to a month ago and I’ve yet to receive any papers informing me if I was missing any documents or etc. I’ve called at least 5 times a day for about two weeks straight leaving voicemail after voicemail and no one has yet to return my call not only did I call multiple times I have also emailed them multiple and no response. The office gets the job done, they have you in and out with care and courteousness. From the nurses to the technicians everyone asked was I alright and comfortable. Even if it was a visit which most of us hate going to a hospital or doctors office they managed to do their best to make it an experience like no other. I love that you can pre register online which makes the appointment go smooth. They ask that you get there 30 minutes for, which I did just in case I needed to fill out any extra information. I waited for my appointment time and then went back and did the necessary step to prepare me for the mri. They provide a locked cabinet to put your personal belongings in. Every step was explained to me before it took place to make sure I understood and was comfortable. The atmosphere was very clean and every was very nice and friendly.Tiara Temple

I was diagnosed with colon cancer. I had exhausted my finances with copays. My oncologist ordered CT, I need this before I start chemotherapy. CRA wanted copay upfront. I explained my situation and CRA would not bill me. They wouldn’t even accept billing my card a few days later. Prayerfully, I’ll find a radiologist who will bill or atleast accept payments. The school has motivated me to become my best self. The teachers and staff are so wonderful and helpful, the programs offer a variety of career paths, and i wouldn't go to any other school. 12/26/21 UPDATE Needed to come on the record and say that my original 5 star review is only because the teachers tell you to write a 5 star review in exchange for a good grade, credit, or extra points on an exam. Don't believe all the good reviews on here. I graduated April 2020 from the Medical Assistant program and have yet to receive a certificate of completion despite multiple attempts to contact the registrar. There should be no reason for them to withhold my diploma as they already received all my completion documentation AND i qualified for FAFSA so they already received all the money from my student loan servicer. Career Technical Institute is a fraudulentand needs to be closed down.This business targets low- income residents because CTI know's that some of us low-income residents don't understand student loans and how it can play a part in not getting a job or leasing an apartment, etcetera. Also students don't have knowledge that a student loan stays on their credit report. This school cares about money only. Career Technical Institute combined my grant and student loan. I was told that I was going to get help in getting a job which never happened. I never received my diploma because I couldn't pay my loan off. Sadly, I can't give 0 stars to Career Technical Institute. Career Technical Institute is not acreddited with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).Jamelia

I think these different reviews are confusing. But I think I know what the issue is. Some reviews are based on Hospitality and some are base on IT. I can tell you right now if you're dealing with IT, this is the absolute worst place to go to start a career. It's just really a waste of time and money. Even if you have to pay more money you may as well go to a real accredited institution and I can tell you without a doubt this is not one. They focus and take advantage of mostly low income African American students misleading them about finances and what they will be able to gain from the courses. My husband had an appointment here for a CT Scan. To confirm this AR is located inside the BWMC. Admissions (main lobby) was friendly, caring, and went above and beyond- to welcome us with a smile! Once we arrived at Advanced Radiology- our friendly experience changed. We buzzed ourselves in using the wall button. It was so loud-it just about scared me out of my shoes! Once inside we placed our folder (provided from admissions) on the counter. There’s a sign directing you where to place your file. We were greeted quickly by Laura. My husband had an arm band placed on his wrist- after confirming his DOB. We were then asked to have a seat. Shortly thereafter Debbie entered. I only know her name because Laura kept repeating it during their conversation. After Debbie dropped off lunch- they loudly discussed what they were eating, and talked about various food trucks. I even know Laura likes lamb gyros! All of this while country music blared in the background. My husband and I were the only people in the waiting room. As you can see we waited in a dark waiting room. They didn’t have all the lights on (only by the entrance door and the hallway to the bathroom). While we waited Debbie said “Who are these people?” Excuse me??? How rude can one be? She didn’t check us in, and had nothing to do with my husbands scan/appointment. Her rude behavior was not warranted! Please send Debbie to a customer service refresher. The CT technician was very friendly btw. If the lights were on, and the atmosphere was different-I would’ve rated this location at least four stars.Farrah

This was my son’s first experience with MRI. He’s 17. The intake folks were terrific. They were kind and efficient and helpful. The MRI techs were different. Although they were cordial, they appeared very busy and rushed whenever they had to interact with us. They did not ask if he’d done this before or talk him through the process, etc. Just rushed in and out with every encounter. In between the rushing, I could hear them chatting together about their dogs and personal lives. Just gave me a bad taste. Also, my son received ear plugs instead of headphones with music, as most other MRI clinics do. I do appreciate the need to keep things moving due to scheduling but please don’t forget you’re dealing with humans. Probably won’t schedule any future MRIs at this location.Tiffany H

It is still difficult to enter the building after the traumatic experience when I had a breast biopsy yrs back and a new procedure/equipment was being introduced. There were at least 5 people in the room while i was exposed and told to lay on the table on my stomach. They talked around me like i was not a human or even present. Then when I was told to get up, I started bleeding so much it went to the floor and i was rushed out The rest i can’t continue with. I had an MRI on 7/8/22, the facility was nice and I was in and out easily. They get their money upfront and won't provide service until they get their money so I did mention to them that I want to ensure it's claimed to my insurance company so it will go toward my deductible. Today, August 3, 2022 and I still don't have the service claim sent to my insurance company. I have called 3 times and they are vague about some processing they are doing for review on my claim, they don't know what, why and when I ask to speak with supervisor they give me the run around of someone calling me back in a day or two . I still haven't heard back from anyone. I spent almost 2 hours on the conference call with my insurance company to get to the bottom of it and no resolution. Even my insurance company was asking them for a manager or supervisor to get on the phone and was questioning why I was getting the run arounds. Billing in this place is very poor. they get their money upfront but if they owe you anything, well, you better know it's going to take forever to get your money back. I will be looking else where for imaging and ask about their billing department to get familiar. Community Radiology, if you see this, please do yourselves a favor and don't write back with a nice comment that you care about this feedback and to call you back. You all need to reach out to me with my several attempts and every call that's being recorded on your end. With one lady name Robin who told me the claim was sent on 7/26 to my insurance company and when I called yesterday someone else said I'm sorry, we haven't sent it yet. I have been at this location previously and I am sad to say that your front desk is actually in shambles. I spoke to 3 people on the phone prior to my schedule MRI (which was cancelled) but I was TOLD that I could go ANYTIME to get a foot x-ray done. So I showed up at 7:35 a.m. and I was told that X-rays start at 8:30 a.m. There were not that many people around. However, it was 8:50 a.m. and I had to approach the window and asked what was going on. I saw patrons check-in, get taken back and then leave. Soon, the room was full and I was left there waiting. The FD lady made a mistake so I had to wait half hour to be taken back. Then, I found out that she scheduled the wrong x-ray. On the good side, the tech was very quick, prompt and professional kudos to that. As I walked out I got nothing but stares and not even an apology for making me late to work. As for something that was only going to last 30 minutes… and that's the reason I went there early. Does CRA make it a goal to hire incompetent people? or not have the decency to train them properly. I worked in the medical field for 12 years and although we made mistakes we always apologized and asked what can we do to make your day better. None of that was ever present. I am well acquainted with lots of doctors and this is not ending here. You will expect and get more from me. CRA Rockville should be avoided. Seen 10/5/2022 4pm. They violated Americans With Disability Act and Affordable Care Act sect 1557 and other regulations by failing to provide access to qualified interpreter service-a young staff woman stood in middle or wait area telling Hispanic man in English for full 8 minutes that he needed a doctor to sign his RX. He did not understand and left upset. Four other staff members behind the counter observed the interaction. Patient’s lives depend on your compliance with the law(s). They also need to read up on HIPPA about patient confidentiality. Second, the same female employee above took me back for a chest x-ray. I asked her to disinfect the chin support that she instructed me to put my chin on and she refused. I told her it was Covid protocol and basic patient safety. An older coworker (assume supervisor) a few feet away called out 'it's not required.” The ‘tech’ balanced a paper towel loosely on the chin rest without swabbing, 3 series were done and I left. I also question her certification and whether she is supervised. This location should be closed until proper training is done to with compliance checks to mitigate illegal actions and assure patient safety. Your patient’s lives depend on it.RUSS KORNACK

Today, I had the Worst radiology experience in this white oak location, this review is for the suite 100 not 105. The office Receptions who worked at window 4 was very so rude, first the lady told me she needed to call the insurance for something, which she didn’t know the number so she had to ask her coworkers to find the number for I had to asked her what happened.I arrived at the time check in which was 9:15am and my appointment was scheduled at 9:30 so I got there around 9:12 am to make sure I didn’t need to fill out anymore paper, because I did my pre check in online before my appointment day. After her telling me my insurance will not cover for the exam, she then stated to me that I might receive a bill to my address I said ok no problem and then she had the nerve to ask me if that was fine, like I had any other options. After telling me about the insurance they told me to have a seat that someone will call me shortly, after seating down everyone that got there after me was seen before me, which I understood because the lady at window 4 told me that everyone have different exam so the time and room is different. But then after that they repeatedly ignored me until I went again and asked her when was I going to be seen and she told me since I was doing ultrasound I have to wait and my appointment was at 9:30 I was seen by a nurse at 10:30am due to the room Not been available for my ultrasound. I hate this location and I will not be retuning for exam at this place ever. I Always go to the Greenbelt location but since they didn’t have appointments available that’s why I chose white oak and after this experience I will not be returning here.Jeannie S

I am disappointed with the service they provide to the patient. Today I had an appointment and when I was in the room to do the mammography exam they told me that my insurance did not cover the exam. I called my insurance and my insurance said to me they gave me a bad information, they NEVER CALL TO DO INSURANCE VERIFICATION my insurance does cover the exam that I had TODAY, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, POOR COMMUNICATION AND NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL.I work in a doctor's office and we have never treated a patient like they treated me, I felt resentful and discriminated against and the worst thing was that I had to undress, wait and then get dressed again and waste my time driving 30 minutes away. Be careful. Something shady is going on. The check in folks are rude, unorganized and will try to overcharge you even if you have insurance. CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY FIRST AND SEE WHAT YOU SHOULD PAY. I ended up getting a refund but that could have been avoided if the lady at the check in counter took the time to actually listen to me that the copay they insisted I pay was not accurate. Thanks to Dr. Kalantar, who did a fusion lumbar on my surgery four months ago, I’ve fully recovered. I can’t say thank you enough for his and Dr. Mcgrail’s care. Dr. Mcgrail recommended Dr. Kalantar to take over and did the fusion surgery on my L4-L5-S1, which was successful. I have been going to physical therapy for the past couple of months and have regained enough mobility to perform actions without any limitation. I highly recommend Dr. Kalantar for any back surgery because he is very caring and explains everything thoroughly to you before you decide what is best; and after that , he is careful by step to take care of you on the road to recovery. Dr. Ferguson, my Spine Surgeon, was so kind and caring as he explained a difficult surgery to me. He and my son share a physical therapy background and so it was nice to have him concur with my plan to talk to Andrew about the possible surgery. It is very scary to hear what is involved with the surgery that I need. He made me feel reassured and did not pressure me in anyway to make the decision to have the surgery. diagnosis. He patiently went over the procedures diagnosis and the recovery time twice as I was exhausted from not sleeping much die to the pain in my back. I really truly appreciate his care.Barbara Thompson

My visit to Georgetown was altogether agreeable and (from a medical standpoint) helpful. Everyone we encountered, even those who simply told us to "go to the end of the hall, take two rights and then the elevator to the second floor" were instantly responsive, completely helpful and always friendly. At our destination the receptionist, nurse and doctor could not have been more agreeable and professional. My experience with DAT was amazing I’ve learned so much and discovered a lot of new opportunities for myself that I didn’t quite believe I could do. Honestly, I enjoyed my time. My biggest grievance was that the Disability Support Services didn't specifically target any particular disability. They offered "support" that was not particularly useful for my mathematical disability. Besides that, I met so many great professors who were inspirations for me. The events available to participate in were fun too. I liked Visiting Rep Stage up until that Joseph Ritsch said something offensive to me. Besides that, I felt that Howard Community College provided me with an opportunity to meet new people, enjoy great food, and I guess expand my horizons. Despite the many personal struggles I faced at this community college, I am glad that some professors were understanding and actually took the time to explain things thoroughly to me so that I would not fail. Overall, HCC is a good place to begin ones journey towards a higher education!Nigel Young

Not your average community college, it feels like it could be a private university if they added some dorms and I love the architecture, its very modern. I love it here all of my professors have been great. Just beware of the math department, my experience with math at this school has been a little rocky, I've only had a couple of good professors out of all the classes that I've taken.James Williams

Howard University is in the process of changing, improving and increasing their level of services they offer their community. GoodLove this place. Had a good experience here. Enjoyed the homecoming Saturday with my daughter. I missed my high school's homecoming but enjoyed Howard's. Sorry DCs Dunbar had to go to the Mecca.Great institution for higher learning. Homecoming 2019 was fun, except for the score of the game.This campus was really nice. The college presentation was concise and thorough. The presenter seemed knowledgeable and engaging.It seems to be a great place offering a lot of opportunities for young adults of color. Our tour guide was a young lady who is a senior at the school and she was so articulate and presented the information in a way that conveyed her knowledge of the school and also how much you really enjoyed going there. Today I went to drop off my niece who’s continuing her second year of pre-med. the experience was amazing. I love how supportive the staff is. They have smooth transition process during moving in season. They were very well organized and had keys, moving carts, parking permits and guidance everywhere. I noticed that minorities are the majority at Howard. Diversity is embraced and everyone is welcomed and respected. I loved how they have sanitation stations everywhere fondue to Covid-19. The application process is easy and they financial aid staff is very helpful. Howard university os affordable and well known school. The dorms are spacious and private. Kitchen is well organized and the bathroom is huge. Campus was a little crowded because it was moving in day, but it was so organized that by 2pm everyone was situated and the streets were cleaned. I went to the dental school to be evaluated for new dentures. The students and professors are very knowledgeable. They treat you gently and respectfully. As they evaluate and work on you, they explain everything that they are doing. I've been going there off and on since the 1980's. They have walk-in service also. Call for information of days and times. Best of all the fees are very very reasonable. And if you need financial help they try to help you obtain it. I am a current student at Trinity Washington University and I definitely don’t feel the same way about this school, as i did a few months ago when I started. The school isn’t the worst but I would not say that you get the feeling of a good college experience. I am currently thinking about transferring to another school. So that I don’t create a long review for others to read I will give a bullet overview of what does on/why i want to leave: – The administration as a whole are not very cooperative, nor do they know how to really help you. Advisors just repeat the same information that you could have found in the Trinity website. – The food is NOT good. I have seen dining hall workers take food from the dining hall and take it over to the deli which is one building away and charge more for it. They give you a better sandwich if your using flex dollars, but they give a basic sandwich if your using your meal plan. – Security is not consistent, they pretty much let anyone on campus and don’t ask the necessary questions before having a car proceed to drop off/pick up or parking. – There are no water fountains in the freshman dorm, which i feel is a health hazard. I feel, if they can get a dollar out of me then they will. It’s either $1.25 – 1.75 for a bottle of water in the freshman building, and Laundry is $1.50 to dry and another $1.50 to dry. My first semester of freshman year it was clear that the dean didn’t like my professor so she would try and get us to say things negating about her, she would observe her teaching more than i’ve ever seen, and before the second semester was to start she quit. Trinity is nice in the brochures, and online, but if you come here you will soon realize unfortunately everything is not as it seems.ANNA

I really thought coming to this school I was going to thrive and get my degree. However after coming here my experience is bad, the counselors here don't know how to help you. There are multiple things I could say about this school, however simply put this school is horrible. After barely finishing my first year here, I have fallen into a deep state of depression. Do not go here unless you live off campus, and even then make sure it is your last option .I have been going here and am finally about to transfer to Montgomery college just to get away from this school. Please listen and do not go here.n Jjo

I have nothing nice at all to say about this awful school. Well, the professors are good and caring. The school administration is the worst! although I am only a few semesters away from graduating with a 3.8 GPA or better, I absolutely regret going here. I wish I could change my alma mater. I am ashamed of being a "soon to be" graduate from this school. I will NEVER recommend this place to a prospective student. I have NO desire to ever participate in any Trinity related alum activities… If they ever reach out to me, I will do all I can to NOT use profanity when saying "HELL NO!"Xavier Hodge

The worst university ever, my experience at this university has been draining and miserable. Some off the professor are rude and highly unprofessional. I had one professor a couple off years ago name Samuel Walters tell me that he doesn't have to respond to my emails, and if I reported him they wouldn't even listen to me. I will never forget that, it was odd to me as well because, other professors' I had encouraged students to email, and come in during office hours for assistance. I reported this to the dean, and she told me that professors' are not obligated to respond to students' emails. I couldn't believe it, in addition I wrote the president off the school who is a joke in my opinion, and he never responded. Anything, goes at this University. I blame myself, for returning to this school I was told things have changed, and it has not. Different departments loose papers, I had turn in my vaccine exemption forms August 02, 2021 and was told it was never received. When, I inquired about the documents again, the representative had told me they forgot to submit the documents to another department. But, by then I was already dropped from my courses. At this point, I said forget it, I am glad I transferred to another University that's extremely professional, the transition was great. The staff are rude as well, I remember almost getting cursed out by a lady in the student health department, because I simply asked if my health waiver was received, she was so rude. I honestly, despise this University. Returning, to this University as a readmit student was not worth it, it's beyond me because, UDC reached out to me to come back this past summer and it's still a joke. The women bathrooms, are a joke it's been like that since I started a couple off years ago. Some, off the doors don't lock, the library needs to be remodeled. I remember part off the ceilings in one bathroom was completely missing. Elevators were not working, and some parts off the building were not cleaned, the math tutoring lab couple off years ago was, leaking and ceiling was completely gone. I believe, some individuals work at this University because they can display their dispicable disposition. It really, amazes that the student center is appealing. But, if you go to other departments off the campus the conditions, are horrible or layout is outdated. I blame myself for being at this University for so long, never again.nina

The most terrible school I have ever been to. Both the main campus and the Community college are the same. A lot of slow, unprofessional, and rude staff who keep yelling at students when they are not even doing their jobs properly. I submitted a certain paper to the Financial Aid office and they told me they lost the paper after weeks that I had to pay about $1700 out of pocket. During the 2020 Pandemic, I tried to contact them as I was having difficulty to waive the Student Insurance that is provided through the school because I already had an insurance coverage; no one answered my call until it was due. And now Miss Gaskon told me that I have to pay about $1300 for the coverage I never needed. Mis Gascon was there in 2018/19 when I had the same issue; she helped me waive it then. I could not go to her office in 2020 be a of Covid restrictions. I tried to solve the issue communicating with them but nothing got better yet. I would not recommend anyone to go the UDC unless one needs a headache. I cannot deny that there are some great Professors such as Prof. Sonnie Abebaku. However, individuals are very helpful to us, it’s overall experience at the university that makes a difference in our academic lives. So far, my overall experience is just TERRIBLE!Henok D

I agree that administrative work is little slow but when it comes to education and professors, I would say they are really great, knowledgeable, kind and caring. They always try to help you to learn and never let you down. They always support brilliant students in the class and on the other hand they never abandon weak students too. Some people complain that school building architecture is ugly but just keep in mind the UDC construction completion dated back to 1851. So, I don't let this to impair my judgement about very good professors and education in here.Mani Shehni Karam Zadeh

I have very talented colleagues and friends who graduated from Georgetown University, so I always wanted to visit this school. The campus is very beautiful, especially with the fall foliage. It’s a nice half-day trip to visit the university, the shopping area (mainly on M Street), the canal and the waterfront park. The football field is a bit small, but overall, it’s a beautiful campus!Da-Wang Wu

I love seeing this campus from the walking across the key bridge but this time I decided to visit the local university near me. It was very classic and historical campus. Nice grounds and great castle like halls. Love going to TedEx talks at this university as well. Great campus and good university. Come explore the campus if you are in the Georgetown area!Brian Copes

I do not come to school here but it's a must place to visit and see in person!!! The buildings are so beautiful and massive. It's breathtaking. The surrending place to grab food is amazing and you can bring it back and either sit in the rocking chairs or picnic tables they have or bring a blanket and lay under a tree and relax!! Everyone knows this program is malignant though we'd like to elaborate. A malignant program is a program that treats its residents unfairly, has a toxic unproductive learning environment, pits residents/groups of residents against each other, and does not listen to resident feedback. I am/we are fourth year residents at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology and we see disturbing trends. The Mallinckrodt is not so much malignant as it is racist. For white residents, things are fine and the sky is pretty for the most part. Some toxicity bleeds through. For the minority or first generation resident with no connections who seem vulnerable, they are harrassed, intimidated, bullied, many times by the weakest, most insecure faculty, and predominantly by the program director (Dr. Gould) who is a part time interventionist who needs to keep up an appearance that she is doing her job. If you are not a white person, please avoid this program. Until at least the program director is fired. And on top of that you have the narcissistic immature self declared vice chair of education (Bhalla) going arnd harassing residents he doesn't like. The end result is a chaotic unprofessional situation no one wants to be in.Jorge Gomez

I'm writing this review on behalf of my husband and everything he's gone through. WAU has not handled my husband's issues professionally since the time he started there in 2010. He graduated in December 2014, after his professors cleared him to graduate. It was only four years later, when he went to renew his teaching contract and was receiving an "intern" pay salary that we discovered WAU was not releasing his transcripts because they had him in their records as not graduated. He was missing a 100-level BIO class. This was the first time we had heard of it, and his advisors as well. After trying multiple times over the course of a school year to contact people and resolve the issue, we still aren't in the clear, even after he passed a CLEP exam. WAU has been extremely difficult to work with. He has not received timely responses to his phone calls or emails, he's often left in the dark over the paperwork he needs to complete or have completed by other departments, and this whole situation should have been avoided in the beginning by the registrar's office not clearing him to graduate if a 100-level BIO class was the issue. Unfortunately, this is not unique. We both have had friends who have "graduated" from WAU to find out, when their transcripts are needed, that they have not graduated because they were missing basic level courses not relevant to their careers. WAU will not pardon this, even though it is clearly an institutional issue, so past students are left without diplomas until they finish the courses YEARS later. I do not recommend WAU, and have been so highly disappointed in their lack of professionalism, timeliness, and attention to detail every time I or my husband has worked with them.Ashley McMullen

This school is one of the worst school I have seen, the administrative staffs are nonchalant about one’s future and keep running the business to the ground, they neglect their responsibilities and the school gives no career assistance. Good employees with excellent communication skills had their contract terminated since the school downsized. Also, foreign students are neither offered relief, grant or scholarship funds. In addition, one can never get in touch with a contact person either through calls or emails as they will never respond. I will advise one invests in a better school especially if you are an international student as you will benefit from the outcome. Attending this school is a big regret, since they’ve continuously proved me right, they waste time in preparing immigration documents, never respond to emails or calls and you might end up losing a good job offer.Lastly, the administrative staffs have no God-like characters and forget they were once immigrants. This is my experience therefore, I won’t advise international students to attend this school since we are seen to be non-existent. Nevertheless, the academic staffs are really nice.This is my awful experience, can you guys try and improve especially during this COVID season.Kate Jefferson

A former student had to leave Washington Adventist University because they were being discriminated against their race. They went to a different Adventist University. I am glad that Washington Adventist University did not receive the rest of money since they went to different Adventist University. They are pretending to be Christian while doing the work for the devil. They are all about money. They are liar, selfish, wicked, ungrateful, and jealous. They refused to help the students. I am looking forward for them to be punished on Judgement's Day.Virgin Tama
