Very well at allowing students to understand what is being taught, and provide all the basics when it comes to starting your college credits. The entering staff are knowledgeable in helping you find assistance in areas you aren't familiar with such as tuition, loans and grants. The book store has all the stuff you need to succeed. They have several cafes on campus. The student center is the campus hang out. They have pool tables ping pong and a wide variety of other clubs and activities to get involved in. The mini processing plant on site is a great hands on learning tool they have RIGHT THERE on campus. All of the professors are very knowledgeable and understanding. If you want to learn and earn college credits this is the place. They have an adult learning center for people to get their GED. They're performing arts center for people that like to perform or do arts. Like drawing and painting. Have a nursing program that is top notch. All your basic studies are covered by experience and helpful staff. They have all sorts of activities, and clubs. This cosmetology where they offer haircuts and manicures. They offer instrumentation as well as process technology. They have a judicial class for those that would like to learn about the criminal justice system. They do scrolling all year round even on weekends If you have a 9 to 5 job and can't make it to regular classes. There's athletic program basketball and volleyball, they have a swimming pool weight room and banquet halls for rent. They have several lecture halls on campus as well as outdoor picnic area or study areas. There are some campuses one in Baytown, McNair, and Liberty. So their service area can be reached. They also have helpful Access student resources answer questions about programs and are always willing to go that extra mile and help make student success their number one goal. I must say, the teachers are helpful and the classes are small-yes- but the support staff for the college itself (business office, counselors office, financial aid, ect) are the absolute RUDEST people I have ever met! I work full time, so I try to do most of my business with them via Email, Telephone, or Fax. When you email any of the support departments, they NEVER reply back, once you call them and mention "I emailed y'all a week ago but I never got a response back…here is my question" they just give you the run around, transfering you to 3+ people just to get a vague answer. Just today, I got cut off by the business office when I simply asked if I could pay for tuition over the phone. The "counselors" in the counselors office don't even remotely help you with your degree planning, each one of them will tell you something different so you are basically left to figure it out yourself and hope you get it right. I have talked to all different kinds of directors/administrators about these issues and they NEVER seem to be resolved. Point to my review is this is a good college just to get a degree behind your name, but be prepared to hit a ton of roadblocks/red tape along the way.Kayla W

Love the school, very understanding teachers & other faculty! I graduated from here my first semester of my senior year in high school before deciding to attend UT! Everything was okay all the way up until the 2020 graduation parade. When announcing my name, the announcer made a very uncomfortable mark about my dads corvette mentioning “Nice car where’d you rent that for the weekend?” I didn’t really notice until my sister played her video back after the parade. The car wasn’t rented, that’s HIS CAR FULLY PAID FOR! I didn’t like what he said and if I could see him face to face again any day, I would tell him African Americans can have luxurious and nice things as well! Some comments you keep to yourself! Just attended a concert in the music hall at the Stillwell humanities building on the Texarkana College campus. The concert was given by a soprano named Shaina Martinez and a pianist named Mary Scott Smith. The style was classical, operatic, and the show included songs by Puccini, Debussy, Andre Previn, Ricky Ian Gordon, and others. The performance was outstanding, and the concert lasted about an hour. There was a printed program provided by the college, and it listed every song and composer, except the encore. There were about 75-80 people attending the concert, and about 30 of those were college students.scott campisi

The person working the front desk of the financial aid office is extremely rude and condescending. She also made it very well known how she felt about the military and GI Bill students. If you have the misfortune of having to endure that lady (you will know her when you see her. It's been a pretty good experience so far. They seem to have a lot of compassion for their students. Especially those who have learning disabilities like me (ADHD). They do a great deal for you. I attended Community Care College in 2019-2020, receiving an Associates (AOS) degree in Business & Industry Management. It had been 25 years since attending high school, and I wasn't exactly the most studious student in the 90's! But, having many career-life years ahead of me, I knew I needed to stay relevant and not become antiquated in my education, knowledge, or on my resume. Take it from me, you're never too old to further your education, better your circumstance, or change your career. Proud to say I was a 4.0 Presidential Honors graduate! Enrollment was made easy by their admissions & financial aid, and the instructors were engaging! I also appreciated how they regularly recognized student success. I completed my program 100% online, so it was easy to work around my full-time job and family. I had enrolled into the evening Medical Assistant Program, and was very impressed before I even signed up. All the staff or very friendly (and not that fake friendly, either), helpful, and encouraging. They go out of their way to help you with whatever you need. I had Ms. Toni, who, in my opinion, is one of the best college professor's out there. Every week was a new subject, every day was a quiz, but the way she taught every subject was in a way I could comprehend, and that's saying something, considering I have a learning disability, which you would have never guessed considering I graduated with a 3.95 GPA. Ms. Toni is more than willing to do one-on-one tutoring if needed, and there is a lot of resources that they give you. The Financial Aid, and Career Services are all very simple and helpful. Toni Bethel of Community Care College is such a wonderful teacher. Going back to school at 33 was a scary experience for me. She took me under her wing and gave me the best educational experience I have ever had. If I didn't understand the lesson, she would stay before or after her shift to personally help me. She made sure we all understand what she was teaching. My family experienced some medical emergencies while in school, she gave me so much emotional support during that time. I graduated with a 4.0. all because she is an excellent teacher. She truly cares about each one of her students. She gives her whole heart to teaching. Why do I fill out a PDF to get a transcript sent to another college? Most Colleges (Including Austin Community College and the Alamo College District) have a web application that you use to request your transcript. You can pay through the app and then the tool sends the transcript. You staff told me to fill out a PDF and send it in and will take one to two weeks unless I want to come in and pick it up. It is 2022 going on 2023, maybe you should look into that. It will most likely reduce to work on your staff.Jon Wachter

The staff is very irrespectful, and many professors try to hard to make the college an experience just like the bigger universities. When I was looking into going to Ross I was a little apprehensive because I wasn't sure if this program was really any good. From the minute I walked in the door all my apprehension was gone!! The admissions staff made me feel right at home and walked me through the process step by step and answered all my questions. The financial aid staff was wonderful and answered all my questions about my financial aid and got it processed quickly. The school director was absolutely the best!! She takes time to actually sit you down and find out how you are doing in your courses and she is available to fix any problems you may have. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable about the subjects they are teaching you and are also available to answer any questions and offer whatever help you may need. Career services literally will not stop looking for employment for you until you have a job in your field. Honestly so disappointed. A complete lack of communication from day one. Today should be my graduation date, and I can't even get an email response about anything. The education I received was so far off track from what I was told I would receive (Billing and Coding) and I think I might be qualified to answer phones and make minimum wage now that I am done. I get plenty of communication about sharing on social media but cannot even get a response about what I am to do next now that my qualifications for completion are met. Updates needed for the sake of the teachers and students as far as efficacy goes. Machinery such as autoclaves and centrifuge could stand to be updated as well. All staff and personnel at Ross is absolutely wonderful and I have and will continue to sing this school's praises. I actually attend the other campus, but have had to stop by here for books or to see the proff. So far it seems like a very organized campus. I've come at different times of the day and there's always parking (sometimes further away, but I carry an umbrella for the sun) Once there were mariachi playing outside. The employees are always very helpful & professional and most of the students appear to be engaged in their environment. The bathrooms have always been clean when I've gone. I've taken 3 courses so far and the classes have been very engaging. This is a career change for me so I'm older, but I don't feel out of place.Gracie G

I would not recommend this university to any of my friends or family, if zero stars were an option this is what they would receive, yes they did expand the university but made things worse. Graduation ceremonies are held opposite of their campus area, for instance if you are attending the Brownsville campus, your graduation ceremony will be held in Edinburg and vice versa. The cost of attending has sky rocketed. A couple of my friends who earned a double major had to fight tooth and nail for their respective degree majors'. To make things worse their parking is atrocious, even to get a visitor pass, you must pay!? What. The. Hell. Man! Lastly, they care nothing for their veterans – this university only works if you either know or are related to the person who is offering the job, if I'm being honest, our military veterans sacrificed more than any regular civilian ever would and therefore should be consider first and foremost amongst people who are not veterans. Very little effort put in by the staff to do anything more than waste their students' time and money. Impossible to get hold of any of the advisory staff when it comes to things like tuition, curriculum, or international student programs. My SO has been going to this college on an education visa for years (more than she should have needed to to begin with) and sank a lot of money into getting a proper education, and the lack of effort to facilitate this for both her and other students- domestic or foreign- deeply disturbs me. It's been nothing but a constant source of stress and a constant hemorrhage in her wallet. Apparently this school is on probation for their overt lack of quality/effort but because members of the school body have good connections it's been kept open. You get what you pay for. They offer some of the lowest tuition rates in the state, but that's the only upside. Facilities are poor, parking is rarely available, and there is a severe lack of course availability. Communication has been very poor, and we've struggled to get information from the college nor any assistance with enrollment. I had to make a complaint with the President's office just to get the help I needed. Plus, their employees are rather nasty and sociopathic. They have little-to-no concern for their students, and they're not afraid to show it. There is a lot of room for improvement here. I was worried when I started in 2017 that I had told all these people about my new goal in life and the first semester already feeling like giving up and letting everyone that cheered me on down. But I kept pushing and moving forward and it got easier and easier and ATA and the teachers really encourage you, the first semester was really hard for me but there was so many teachers that checked on me and helped me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Been in the Limited Medical Radiography Program with Medical Assisting, and it has been AMAZING! Love the small classes! & The Instructors are by far the most involved with every student and are dedicated to them as well. Very passionate in their teaching. All of the staff from ATA from Admissions and Financial Aid and Student Services are also very dedicated, helpful and GREAT! Last but not least The President! He is super uber Amazing! He visits the classes, greets every student, personally hands out the Honors or President Awards to the students who've earned them. Also looks for better ways to improve ATA. I have been attending ATA since may 2017 and I am proud to say that I will be finished December 15, 2017. The staff at ATA are truly amazing and a blessing. As a PSJA alumna and current staff member, I am so impressed and proud to see all the incredible learning opportunities offered by PSJA ISD to students in all grade levels and even parents. From a full day of PK and the Dual Language Program to high school students graduating with Associate Degrees and parents having access to free classes, PSJA is going above and beyond when it comes to providing education opportunities to families in our community. As the oldest of six kids who have all gone and are going through PSJA schools, I can honestly say that I am grateful for the caliber of education we received and the tremendous impact it has had on all of our lives. In addition to helping my sisters and I graduate from high school with countless college hours, thanks to PSJA my youngest sister recently graduated from PSJA North ECHS as a Certified Pharmacy Technician and is currently able to work in a well paying job while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science from UTRGV. As if that weren't enough, both of my parents have also been able to continue their education by taking the free ESL, GED and Computer classes offered by the PSJA Parental Engagement Program. Signed the Enrollment paperwork the first time and the start dates were wrong. By the time they sent me the enrollment paperwork to sign that had the right dates I had decided to not go to school there for various reasons, mostly because CCI doesn't work with any bank for student loans, they expect you to take out personal loans and lie to the banks about what you will use the money for (highly illegal). Told the school I would not be attending there and continue to get emailed almost every single night at midnight to sign my enrollment paperwork. I told the front desk staff 2 times that I would not be attending and to stop sending me emails and they continue to email me for weeks. Additionally 3 YEARS LATER they decided to send me to collections for $80 claiming I didn't pay the enrollment fee when I know I did because I paid it the exact same time as another student and they didn't send that student to collections. And since I didn't keep a paper recipient from 3 YEARS AGO then I have to pay through collections. Keep in mind CCI clearly had my email and phone number to contact me over a 3 year period to pay the enrollment fee, for the school I did not attend by the way, but instead of doing that they would rather send you to collections and hurt your credit score, over $80. Not once was in contacted about owing any money to the school. Let's just say I am so happy that I ended up not attending CCI, blessing in disguise.Danica Johnson

This is the most unorganized, unprofessional, unethical school I’ve experienced. They treat their students like elementary children, lie about funds, and demean you like you know absolutely nothing. I had a 4.0 the whole time I attended, yet there was a problem every single day whether it be with the unorganized clinical instructor who contradicted herself daily, or from student services, even the DON. All they want is your money they could care less about helping you through nursing school, or making sure you have what you need. As long as they’re paid, they don’t care. 95% of the staff are rude. My class didn’t start clinicals until mid level 2, when it was advertised and told to us that we would start WEEK SIX OF LEVEL 1. They try to blame it on covid, or the clinical sites, when in fact here just unorganized. I went to school here for Medical Assistant in 2016, enrolling was super easy and the staff were helpful with fafsa when I had no clue how that worked. I loved that it was a short fast 9 month program , and in class I definitely liked that the first 2 hours was book work & the other 2 hours we did all the hands on work! I had a great experience here having Ms. J as a teacher she made sure we did everything the right way & that we understood everything . This school is a joke when it comes to the Diesel Heavy Truck program. You will not learn what you think you need to for the Diesel field. The recruiters do a good job selling you the dream and lying about everything. You will not be certified Diesel Technician, you will get a diploma saying you completed the 1 year course. $23,000 down the drain, and if you don’t finish paying the school by the time you graduate you will not receive your diploma. This program is a joke your better starting off at a shop we’re they will train you. Half of the stuff they have in the shop does not work, They don’t have the proper equipment in the shop they seem to get a lot of pass down equipment from the automotive side. Half of the time class in class you go over basic math such as plus,multiplication, and division it’s a joke. They expect you to learn from a book and not give you the proper hands on training they should. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this program to anybody if I can go back and start over I will. Guaranteed this program is not ready to be even teaching, I never see the head instructor working or teaching anything in this course he’s always in his classroom or just leaning on a table. Only one instructor that knows what he is talking about in his teaching methods everybody else is a joke, But even then all that money is not worth it for that one instructor whole diesel program is to get you ready for a entry level job in the field, no shops are looking for entry level tech your better off starting in a shop believe me when I tell you “don’t” again I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone.Frank Ram

Would not recommend anyone going here to get there CDL or any classification for that matter. The CDL instructor is racist. She kept telling us stories of her bad experiences with minorities. The whole time we were in class all Paulette would do is talk about how much more money she gets compared to the other instructors. The entire time we were training in the truck she was in her car talking on the phone. I walked in with just as much knowledge I left with. The women at the front desk would put me on hold then never return to phone. All around terrible experience. I don't know where to begin. Being frustrated and feeling as though I am giving the runaround, trying to get my diploma and trying to get my official transcript from a school that never answers a phone call during business hours. I never had to rely on a voicemail message to get back in contact with me due to miss understanding of phones calls. I have set up a payment arrangement back in May 2021, and I was told that if I miss a payment out of six months I will have to start all over again. I have been making payments and unfortunately was told that I missed three payments but look at my account and I see they're taking money out of my account. But still won’t give me my diploma. The staff is very rude and have not sympathy or compassion about the students other are trying to make something out of themselves in life. Talking to the staff is like hopping and excepting. Staff that not willing to work with you to try to help me. I've been only help by Miss Sherry, which I was told no longer works there. She's been the only person helping me getting my diploma and trying to get everything situated. I feel frustrated disappointed disgusted and hurt that I can't even depend on the school that I thought would help me succeed in life. This is hurtful and I would not wishes upon no one else. I work so hard live alone have no family here and you're telling me that I can't get any of my transcripts or I can't get my diploma because you guys messed up on your end and you're making me suffer which is not right and unacceptable. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Every campus that I have spoken to someone on the phone has been rude and dismissive and not willing to help… I attended the nursing program in 2016…completed one semester…and had to withdraw from the second (before it started) because My son was having health issues. They told me to come back whenever I wanted that they would gladly accept me back into the program where I left off… which was absolutely not true! When I tried to go back….i was told I could be accepted into the current semester…Which would have been fine except….they were changing the curriculum the following semester…Which if I would have gone back would have forced me to start all over again…. Also, When I asked If I would be able to have a financial credit for the first semester that I completed because they changed the curriculum, I was told to speak with the head of the nursing dept and then she told me that was a question for financial aid who then referred me back to the nursing dept head…and they both said that they couldn’t help me. Don’t waste your time nor effort here. $24,000 down the drain for absolutely nothing! And not only that, But when you try to have your transcripts sent, it takes forever to actually get a hold of someone…and with the rude staff on the phone at every single campus it’s ridiculous!Melissa Kloess

I’m so happy I came across the Arizona College of Allied Health on google. I requested to receive more information about the college and not even a few days later I get a text from Justin. Justin was very nice and gave me so much information that helped me decide this was the college for me. Before I came here I was at Community Colleges for the last 5 years completing only prerequisites not even in a program yet. When Justin told me I would graduate next year in July getting my DA diploma I was beyond excited. I can’t thank Justin enough for all his help. I just got done with my first track passing all my classes. I could have not done it without Ms. Vosteen. She is the best teacher I’ve ever had at all the schools I’ve been to. I am going to miss being in her classes but I am so excited to continue my journey. On Wednesday, October 19th,2022 my 11yr old daughter went in for 4 teeth extractions and was shaking in nervousness. Her legs were trembling, her lips were trembling and it broke my heart. The young lady noticed my daughter shaking in fear and coached her on her breathing and slowly I noticed my daughter was calm. So thank you thank you for staying by her side and coaching her. The dentist was very efficient and talked to my daughter through the entire procedure. Thank you thank you so much! One day later and my daughter is ready to go back to school. My mother went in to get work done, they kept her partial for two weeks to get a new one and when she went in to get the new I e they ended up giving her the old one. Completely disappointed in their services. Would not recommend. Update* the response this office just left is inaccurate, mother was told different. The treatment plan that was verbally given to her was way different. Y’all tried to hide her partial from her and distract her when giving it back. If you think that the elderly can be taken advantage of you are very wrong for trying to take advantage of elderly patients. Omgosh I'm so glad that I chose Dental Park!¡ This place is 100% fantastic! All of the staff here is not only friendly but super knowledgeable. They really put me at ease. I need serious work and they were so kind in dealing with my situation. The dentist is very personable, has great bedside manner and very intelligent! I will never go anywhere else. I started school back in July 2021. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my education. The instructors and staff were always so welcoming and kind. If you or someone you know would like to study in the medical field I believe this school would be a great fit. My classroom experience was very memorable. Professional and caring are the words I would use to describe the staff. My instructor was educational and at the same time she made learning fun! The environment is welcoming and the staff is always there to help you anytime you have a question or if you need any extra help. I am a student in the MOA program and my experience at concorde I would say it has been amazing.The staff are always willing to help the students to help them succeed and answer any questions they have.If anyone ever has a bad day Stacie and Mari are always open to donating some of their time to the students and help them talk about any issues that they need help with in their personal life.The instructors are very aware of their students and make sure that each and everyone is passing their classes.If you need to find a job in order to survive while attending school Ms.Danielle is always open to helping those who need to find one.Since my second MOD I have been a member of the lamplighter program which is a student leadership program where students help one another including their peers in class and help mentor them as well as help them in anything they need.We lamplighters are always at the service of students and staff if there is ever anything they need help with. The dental hygiene program here is absolutely wonderful. Our teachers and program director are amazing. But I am giving two stars because of the issues I’ve had with financial aid. It feels almost impossible to get an appointment with them and everything is so confusing. I understand everyone is short staffed but I have been trying to get ahold of my financial aid person for a month. Not only are they hard to get ahold of but they have said things such as “you need to get a job” if we ask to take a loan out for living expenses. Don’t they think we would get a job if we could? The program is full time there’s absolutely no time to get a job. I’m honestly just hurt that they treat us that way when we spend 73k on this program.Leah Broyles

I took a night class. The instructor always wanted to go home early. so instead of teaching us hands on, he just read over the instructions. When i and several others in my class took the tour, they said we would practice on dummys before we drew blood on each other. They lied. "The equipment doesnt work" is what we were always told. Towards the end of your last mod they crammed both badge tests and extern sites. We weren't notified if we got into our externs until the last day of class. Really nerve recking to the students who had to quit their jobs or try to notify their jobs of the schedule changes. The extern hours change constantly.Heather Gallagher

This is a career field in which has great job security as it is a job that is very much in demand and needed in society today as long as people still have mouths, gums, and teeth. Therefore, this is a great option if one is considering a career. This was one of the best decisions of my life and I am glad I went to this school. The transition from graduating to obtaining a job only took me two weeks and I was able to obtain a job during my first interview. The instructors are more than adequate and are very attentive to their students' needs. They are very clear as what is expected and required of the student in order for success. The program may be intensive, but the instructors are there to help the students succeed. There are no bad questions when trying to learn. The instructors here genuinely care about their students and their student’s success. They are very passionate about their profession, more than sufficient, and highly educated in their occupational fields. They helped me with job placement and even helped prepare me for the interview process. You can count on this school and the professionals to provide the knowledge and the proper tutelage to the student to maximize their potential and successfully prepare the students to start working in the field after graduation.Rhonda Davenport

Being a recent graduate of Texas Academy of Dental Assisting, I can assure you that joining this program is going to benefit you in many ways. TADA only lasts 3 months! That means your next big career step can happen within weeks of you joining this program. Along with having lecture every class period, you also get to participate in hands on training during clinical. I was more than pleased with my instructors at Texas Academy of Dental Assisting. Not only were they informative, but they were also extremely personable. These instructors made class so so enjoyable. Between my instructors and my classmates, whom I have made great friendships with, I looked forward to going to class every week. Graduating from TADA felt extremely bitter sweet. Although, I was proud of myself for making it through, I was sad that I would no longer see these familiar faces every week. If you are looking for a program that can help you grow as an individual as well in your career, look no further. I 10/10 recommend Texas Academy of Dental Assisting. It is such a wonderful experience to spending 3 month with Texas Academy of Dental Assisting. Love the course setting that letting me gain clinical experience ahead of time. It is such a good starting point for a career changer like me. It’s not that easy to get into the field without any knowledge on things like what a dental office needed or what a dental assistant’s life like, especially under the COVID. TADA gave me the chance to learn and getting familiar with all of those procedures, terms, and requirements as I worked in an actual dental office. During that period of learning, I can have a big picture of my future career and able to put all my effort to the right point instead of on a wrong path. I love all my peers my teachers and staff, and definitely Dr. McDonald and Sheila. They are experienced and full of joy and kindness, always willing to answer my random questions and help me practice procedures with grateful patience. I was privileged to have Albert the hygienist give me my cleaning today…what a great experience. I am very anxious during any type of dental work and Albert ensured I was relaxed and talked me through my cleaning. I know for some a cleaning is easy, but for me I'm on pins and needles….Thank you Albert AND the dental assistants who were very kind. I’ve being going to Dr Grey since he first started as a licensed Dentist at a different facility. But it’s not just Dr Grey that keeps me coming back. The entire establishment is organized, friendly, helpful, and caring. Each employee is a vital part of this dentist office from the front Desk, dental assistants, to dental hygienist. This is my second time going and making appointments are fairly easy in getting. Front office is friendly, they help you with any questions you might have. The dentist I saw was Dr. Champion she was nice however her bedside manner needs some work in asking her patients if they have questions since mine were always answered by the assistant. Dentist would finish procedure and leave immediately. I had pain that day and she just told me its because I needed root canal but 1,400 is alot of money for procedure and she could atleast prescribed me something for swelling? She did fillings and just wish she could explain to me how it would help my teeth or even show more interest in patient care. I just like my doctors to show care and explain to us all the important things on how to prevent etc.H Cano

This is a great place! No wait times as in waiting for hours to finally see you even with an appointment. Here is not the case. In and out with an hour and my teeth feel clean! Staff were very welcoming, the hygienist was super awesome, the dentist was very friendly and listen to my concerns dealing with my teeth.
