Our children have been taking classes at Curtain Call Studios for almost 3 years now. Our daughter started, nervously, in Tiny Triple Threat. In no time, Ms. Kara had her so comfortable in class that she never wanted to leave. In fact, we then signed her up for 2 more classes later that year and the next year, Combo Dance and Showstoppers. Ms. Kara has been such a great teacher for our daughter, giving her a strong foundation in ballet and tap. This year, our daughter has moved up to Broadway Dance, which continues her lessons in tap and ballet, and introduces more jazz lessons. She has gone from a shy, nervous kiddo in class to begging to take every class they offer! Private voice and private acting lessons are next on her to do list! Our son joined the fun when he and our daughter both took private piano lessons with Ms. Abigail. She was so patient with our talkative and wiggly 5-6 year old boy! Ms. Keara makes it SO easy to be a Curtain Call Studios parent! She is flexible with families and truly values the learning for each student. The whole team works hard to instill a love of performing in each child. They provide showcases, Masterclasses with Broadway professionals, and seasonal recitals that truly highlight the arts education the children are receiving. Ms. Keara also works hard to ensure the safety of each student with cameras in each studio room that she can monitor from the lobby, and parents can keep an eye out too! Curtain call is so different from any other dance/ theater studio in Ft. Myers. The classes they offer prepare kids for the entire theater performance. One of the many reasons we love curtain call is the amazing instructors! They are highly qualified professionals that connect with the kids and make learning fun. My oldest attends the theatrical jazz/ tap dance class and absolutely loves it! They work hard learning actual technique, yet have so much fun at the same time! She also takes private voice with Ms. Kara and we quickly noticed how dramatically her singing improved. My youngest daughter, who never felt comfortable at any other studios/ classes just loves it here. She attends tutus and tap shoes on Tuesday and loves it! I am amazed watching her at home, showing off her moves while telling me the appropriate names. Ms. Kara challenges them with more advanced tap steps, keeping them challenged and engaged, making it so fun! She also takes private piano with Ms. Abigail and within a few short months was learning to read music, and playing with both hands. We can’t get over how wonderfully she plays, and practices on her own because she’s found such a love for it. I thank Ms Abigail for that! Curtain Call Studios is awesome! My son takes piano lessons and my daughter takes voice lessons there. The teachers have extensive knowledge and experience in their respective fields. Our children are given excellent instruction and opportunities to perform and gain experience. Their workshops are amazing as well. They bring in top notch talent. My 6 year old daughter loves Melody Lane. She's been dancing for the last 4 years, but in the last 3 months we made the switch to Melody Lane and we're seeing so much growth in her dance. She LOVE, LOVES all the teachers- Ms. Sami, Ms. Kat, Ms. Jara, Ms. Ginger. We started the year not planning to tap, but after one class with Ms. Ginger she's proclaimed tap class is now her favorite. The studio is well-organized, Ms. Nanci at reception does a great job of greeting all the parents and keeping us up to date with any changes to the schedule. The teachers teach all the classes and they're on time and on schedule every week. The studio is a friendly, family style environment where siblings are welcome to hang out during class. There is even a quiet homework room for you to use while you wait. I loved that my daughter was able to try every class for free first. The class fees are reasonable. I was amazed the first month when I paid my tuition and it was less because classes were prorated due to a shorter month. I'm even more impressed that after Hurricane Irma the studio credited everyone for the days the studio was closed. I take Jara's fitness classes and Ginger's Adult Tap! Both teachers are the best I've ever had! The fitness classes are fun and extremely fulfilling. Each class is better than the last. As for Adult Tap, I have zero dance experience and wanted to try something new. It's been a great experience and Ginger has been very patient and encouraging with me, which I'd say is perfect for someone with little or no experience. She also knows how to keep the other adults that do have more experience equally engaged and challenged! This studio has the most incredible teachers and treats everyone like family. Melody Lane Performing Arts Center does it again! Their shows never disappoint. Professional directing, outstanding choreography, fabulous tech crew… and incredibly talented actors/vocalists. Even if he’s not acting, Landon has such a love for Dana Angeloro Alvarez and her team that he plans to help out behind the scenes. Our daughter loves Robin Dawn Academy! We tried other studios before coming to RDA and while they were fun, our daughter wasn't really learning much. RDA was different from day 1, the studio is very well organized, classes start and end on time. The classes are still fun but they provide the proper technique and instruction that was missing elsewhere. Classes are taught by highly skilled professional dance teachers, not students or 'helpers'. In one year, we saw amazing progress in our daughter. She went from being a back row dancer to a front row star! She gained so much confidence, she was a different dancer! She loves the variety of classes- jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, acro, silks, aerial, and tumbling. She joined the competition team and loves hanging out with all her dance friends. We highly recommend RDA. We wish we had started with them from the beginning. I always thought that because they were the best in the area that they were more expensive, I was surprised to find that I had been paying more for less at my old studios! Definitely consider RDA if you're looking for dance, performing arts or just looking to get your child a little more activity. The new studio is amazing, it has plenty of space and classes. After trying a couple of other dance studios in the area that did not meet our needs and expectations, we found Robin Dawn Academy. We had heard of Robin Dawn’s extensive experience and impressive reputation for producing top-notch dancers in a friendly and enriching environment. Our daughter started at RDA almost 4 years ago and we are so thrilled we found this studio! The teachers are extremely talented, professional and a pleasure to work with, and the students and parents have become like family. Our daughter competes on the RDA competition team and absolutely loves it. She has grown so much in dance and as a driven, hard-working, responsible young lady, and the friendships she has formed are invaluable and will likely last a lifetime. I enrolled my oldest daughter at Robin Dawn after touring several of the local dance studios in the area. Coming from Miami where there are so many excellent Dance Studios to choose from, RDA was the only one that I would consider. My oldest daughter was 4 when she started dancing there and she continued dancing there until she graduated high school at 19. The teachers at RDA helped shape my daughter into a beautiful and talented dancer but have also helped her gain a discipline and work ethic that continues to help her in all aspects of her life. I totally appreciate what they’ve done for her and am happy with the choice that I made back in 2004. Something tells me that I will be back someday to bring future grandkids to the studio.Josey C

My daughter took an acro class last year and is taking hip hop this year. She is enjoying it very much. Last season her acro teacher had personal issues and had to leave prior to the recital. However, the studio handled it well and practice continued as planned. The recital seemed a little chaotic at first, but they pulled it off. It was a hit with the kids and the parents. I am new to dance, so the expense of it is a bit much for me regardless of the studio. This is our second studio, and we have been pleased. My only issue is the physical space in the waiting area for parents. It is a little awkward and can get tough to maneuver when it's full. Maybe as they grow in business, they can move to a bigger facility. 🙂Melissa Odom

Absolutely love this dance studio…it feels like home here. My daughter has been dancing here for more than 3 years now. The staff is amazing. The office is well organized and super helpful. A truly wonderful, creative, healing ,and rejuvenating Peace festival💖☮️✌️🕊️ This was our first peace festival. (Both Chewy, my 9 year old furbaby, had a great time. Wish we could have stayed longer! Made lots of friends and discovered a lot of new art and healing modalities. Everyone and everything was filled with great, positive energy. The music was lovely ( vibrating on many key healing frequencies), art was fantastic ( very diverse and extremely imaginative), a true feast for the eyes and senses. Picked up a few gifts for my mom and sister in Canada.( The little succulent growing crystal troll), some "holy smoke" smudge sticks( yerba & white sage), and some fabulous soaps made with lots of love and antibacterial properties that smelled like heaven. I've been coming here for a long time so I really should have reviewed this place sooner. You can't beat this place if you want to catch a quality, intimate, live performance of some of the best plays out there! This is a very small venue which means there is no such thing as a "bad seat." It's located at the end of the Biltmore Hotel and you can park for free at the Biltmore and just walk down. They sell snacks and wine at very affordable prices ($5 for wine! Yeaaah!) and seriously, I have loved every production I've seen here. The artistic director, Joseph Adler, is amazing. He knows how to pick a good play for a South Florida audience – he never disappoints. If you are a theater buff, you've got to check this place out! You won't regret it!Elena Izquierdo

Wow. I've been to just a few Gables stage shows. They push the envelope! Both were off Broadway productions. Both were timely against current events. Southwest Florida Christian Academy has been a fantastic school for my son who transferred from public school when he was entering into the 6th grade. The academics were much more rigorous as we anticipated, however the parent and student app Ren Web allows you and your child to be informed of all the upcoming assignments/tests/presentations, etc. I love that there are parent meetings run by the school counselor to help parents navigate the complicated issues of raising a child in Christ during a very scary social time. SFCA has a fantastic athletic program that emphasizes academics come first, study sessions are provided to athletes with extra support to ensure they maintain a B average at minimum. SFCA has been a blessing to my family! Their staff treat you like family and I feel they go above and beyond. I have a child in middle school & one in elementary. Middle school is always a difficult time no matter where you go. However, if ever there is any issue the staff is quick to assist. I’ve always been satisfied here and couldn’t ask for a better place to send my children. I highly recommended SFCA and promise you won’t be disappointed! Yes, I’m sure there is snobs as someone said but that’s everywhere. Honestly, personally I’ve never encountered it myself. If I could rate SFCA a 10 star I would. Tons of Parking including Valet. The theater is about the size of a HS auditorium. The Balcony's are beautiful and I don't think there's a bad seat in the house and the concession area has a full bar, 1/2 bar and soft drink and water bar as well all surrounding a beautiful staircase and a beautiful hanging bead chandelier. Neat little theater, looks like good shows often are here. Tons of free parking on campus. A little congested after shows. Pretty large upper balcony section all with good view of stage. Staff and crew were friendly and lots of them. Beer and mixed drinks along with sodas and water, soft pretzels, etc. Typical theater pricing. Would go again. This is a well laid out venue that offers quality shows at reasonable prices. I'll usually take my dad on "bonding buddy" trips here so we can catch the latest entertainment on stage. The seating is spacious so I never felt crowded. They do have a bar in the lobby but prepared for a $20 rum and coke. I have watched shows at Florida rep for a very long time now. MOST conservatories never fail to disappoint! I've watched a few summer intensives, and last night I came to watch footloose. I was hoping this would be an amazing show, as I loved the original footloose. before you read this section of the review, I want you to know I am not one of those "angry reviewers". I'm giving my sincere opinion and feeback. It seemed like the cast was casted more on their ages. It seemed like a lot of older girls. The key characters were missing the talent. Now I understand that this is an older show, but the characters should be casted on talent! I won't mention who to save embarrassment, but some of the girls who sang the songs couldnt sing very well or were extremely loud. Loud in an overdramatic way. Theatre you're supposed to be loud, but this was a screaming song loud. As I said, the cast was definitely based on the girls ages. I saw some boys and girls in ensemble that could've fulfilled the key character roles much better than the older kids had. I understand you don't want to put younger kids in the principal roles, but some of those principal's should've been in ensemble regardless of their age!!! Please don't take this as offense, I was in theatre myself for a long time. I'm just very disappointed in how this was casted. Maybe because they're all new staff? I honestly don't know.Jan

We saw Lady Day yesterday. The cast did an amazing job. Ebony Pullum was first rate in her singing and her portrayal of Billie Holiday. This could not have been an easy part to play and she did it with passion and compassion. If you know anything about Billie Holiday, you would expect this to be a somber play. If you were already weighed down by hurricane Ian, this can be a heavy subject. However, if you want to see an great performance, and hear some classic Billie Holiday songs sung just as she did at the end of her short life, you should see the play. Kudos to the cast and to Florida Rep for making this happen under these difficult circumstances following the hurricane. Thank you!Jan Johnson

Just saw Million Dollar Quartet, an impromptu jam session with Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Perkins in December 4, 1956 which also included story of Sun Record Studios. The play was outstanding, actors were marvelous in portraying the actual musicians and just a thrill of fun! The theater itself is lovely, as you come inside a sundry of little shops carrying clothing and accessories to the right, and to the left the lobby and entrance to stage. Stage is not cramped, plenty of seating, good view, and well air conditioned. First time coming and looking forward to future visits. Worth it!Claudia Stevens

I shop at the store all the time and I will not be going back. I spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars there on regular basis buying items to ship to other countries that need supplies. There’s one woman who’s there all the time and she was very rude. I just wanted to do an even exchange for a notebook because I grabbed two notebooks with the same pattern by accident. I realized that the receipt fell out of the bag because the bag had a hole. she told me there was nothing she could do. I asked her why she couldn't just do an even exchange without the receipt she told me no. As her manager was walking out the door she yells across the store rudely asking if we can take back an item without a receipt. The manager is like "I’m off duty ask so-and-so" who is standing right next to her. The lady who was managing on duty was very kind and wanted to do the exchange but the rude employee wouldn’t allow her to do it and reiterated that I needed a receipt. I went back out to my car couldn’t find the receipt. Then I realized I have an app that has all my receipts. When I went back into the store the same rude lady wouldn’t except the digital receipt because she said she need to put it in a drawer. How can you take my original receipt from me if I need it for other items that are on the receipt or for tax purposes? Doesn’t even make sense. I was furious over $1.25 why they couldn't do an even exchange without a transaction. So many people don’t care to understand the simplicity of just being kind any more.Dr Barrientos

David the manager is amazing! I called on Sunday & spoke to him about teacher appreciation balloons that I was looking for at multiple stores . He listened to me & looked them up & actually had some in the store . My phone went out & he called me back ( great customer service). I told him I would head right over to buy them for my daughter’s school. When I got there he had them blown up for me & ready to go!! I’m a busy mom of 3 so I greatly appreciate him understanding that . I also must say his store is very clean & organized & all the workers were very friendly! I went in to get cash back and the lady said we do up to 50 but we just open so I don't have that in my drawer then she kind of like well no I don't think I have it made me feel very awkward so I walked out but that's not good customer service I had to walk all the way to the gas station if I was an elderly woman and couldn't walk that far it would be sad I get it it's early but you have money here it's a business you're supposed to have good customer service when they walked through the door and they totally don't I felt very awkwardKaitlyn Edward

What a spectacular performance by such an amazing group of talented Individuals. I attended tonight’s 7:30 show of The Odd Couple and loved it. Not knowing this theatre even excited I was blown away by the cast, set, costumes and the inviting surroundings. My fav character was Olive and her sarcasm but everyone bounced off each other with wit and laughter as if they’ve known each other for ever. It made me feel like I was at my own girls night. The Belle Theater is located right in the middle of Cape Coral and is a perfect location for the community to visit. The education program helps young children and adults grow and develop their talents. It was a great experience!! it was the first time going into the Suncoast and It was the first time I have been actually inside one, the teller automated system was nice you actually speak to a human on the prompter you can do all your banking with ease and feeling more secure! One. Of. A. Kind. Experience. The title speaks for itself. There isn’t a long enough review to do this whole experience justice. Prepare to have almost half your day blown away so quickly and wonder where the time went, and wanting for more of the food, the acting and the phenomenal service from professional staff. The 5 course meal and constant drink refills on the original train from the late 1800’s or so has you wondering if this food really belongs on a train. As you finish your meal on a moving train, the acting of each scene is meticulously planned so you can enjoy your meal at your own pace and try to figure out the mystery murder! They do different acts every season. From the moment you board the train to the moment you step off the train, you feel like you were transported to the past and back. Took this as a recommendation from family member, and was very disappointed in the entire experience. My husband and I spent $250 on two tickets to be seated on an unstable train and made it half way to our destination. We were told of a 3 drink max and had to wait 30+ minutes between drinks because the chef was “preparing” food and beverages, though the menu clearly states the food isn’t prepared in the train (and drinks are not included in the price of the ticket). The portions are incredibly small and quality of food is subpar at best. The show itself is cute, but will not be returning to this expedition. Very unfortunate considering the price.Sara Einstein

I celebrated my 28th birthday on the train and it was a very fun experience. I would recommend going on it at least once. The food was great. Matt and Erica were great servers and very diligent with requests. The actors were funny and super nice. I gave 4 stars for small reasons. I could hear the actors in a separate section of the car. The only thing that separated us was a curtain so it kind of ruined the ambiance of the show for me. Another small thing was the ending; didn’t make much sense, but that’s just me. Interesting… I am reading in below comments about their 'hygiene practice' in this particular store in Cape Coral.. well after going in there to pick up my order I was kinda shocked how dirty their apron and the surrounding was.. yes.. I do understand they work with tomato sauce and flour but boy – they had the entire menu on their apron from last week?! Covid numbers above 5000 in Cape and surroundings and none of them wearing a mask.. But that was not the funny part.. the real interesting thing is.. after your order you do get an email from PapaJohns asking you for feedback – well I answered every question at the end they ask you if you like to be contacted about your survey.. yep – sure contact me.. well 10 days later you get another email saying – 'do you still want to be contacted..' 🙂 really.. well.. now more than ever.. YES please contact me.. this is again three weeks ago.. Why I'm telling you this..? Well.. my recommendation; save the time to fill out the damned survey if no one gives a xxxxx – instead fill out a Google review.. I guarantee, over time that works much better.. 😉 BTW – the pizza 'Works' with the original crust is a 5* pizza.. and it tastes even better if it is produced in a bit cleaner environment.. as the saying goes.. I have tried for two weeks in a row to order from this Papa Johns. Last week, I had friends in town and we placed an order only to find out 20 minutes later that the server was down and my order had been cancelled. So we drove to the store and was told that they couldn’t accept orders in person either. So, this week, I have a house full of family and we placed an order and received a confirmation and an estimated delivery time. Almost 40 minutes passed and we “tracked my pizza” only to discover that my order had been cancelled AGAIN! I called the store to find out why and I was told that their ovens have been down since yesterday but the repair man never showed up to fix them. THEN WHY ARE YOU TAKING ORDERS???? So, with a house full of hungry people, I now have to find an alternative for dinner (and quickly)! Clearly, this particular store’s owner does not care about its loyal customers. I wish I could give this store 5 negative stars. Poor management and poor customer service. I ordered a pizza and bread sticks at 6:30pm and was told it would be at my door in 40 minutes. 1 hour later, nothing. I called the store and they said it was on the way. Another hour later, nothing. I called the store and they said they wrote my address and phone number wrong and my food had been sitting there the whole time. At 8:45 I called the GM and was told they were going to make the food fresh. So it was going to another hour before I got my food. 3 hours for a large pizza and bread sticks. I refuse to ever set foot on campus here again. If you're expecting knowledge and experience in an environment that will have a beneficial formative impact on your life and career out of this place, don't waste your time; I'm flabberghasted by how ineffective they are in their teaching methods, as well as what an incompetently run establishment it is altogether. I'm not one to expect a great deal from a school of any kind; the only criteria I feel needs to be met is that the material being taught is fundamental and objective and that the instructors have a sense of etiquette and integrity; this school achieved far from anything of the sort. The material being taught was always incredibly subjective and pandered to the notion that the only appropriate means of finding a career in art is to produce work for museums. Critique of art produced would invariably insist of challenging incredibly subjective matters such as the meaning of the work and avoiding "kitsch" status; any information on the fundamental qualities of illustration that will actually enable one to make headway in the industry are seldom mentioned and usually brought into light as a footnote as though they aren't of paramount importance. It's as though this school would rather dance around the notion that art is a service and perpetuate a ludicrous fantasy that museum curation arrangements with a probability of transpiring tantamount to being struck by lightning should be a focus in your art career; it's complete drivel.Thomas Duck

Reasonably priced art lessons. Small but interesting gift shop. The classrooms are well-organized and bright in a well-kept facility. Lots of activities for those interested in the visual arts.Dennis O. Johnson
