Review Summary
The teachers here are amazing and wonderful and do not get enough credit for all the little things they do. I was in the vet tech program. All the instructors for vet tech actually are RVT which is cool, cause they have seen so many things and worked in the field for so long, they are all so very knowledgeable. Most of the employees who worked in the office are also very helpful and kind. No one in the entire Carrington College Pleasant Hill location regarding faculty (including staff, office workers, janitors and teachers) gets the recognition they deserve. Everyone i met in the time during my program all went above and beyond what they were paid to do or had to do because the instructors and teachers really care about you and really want you to reach your goals. Any problems or issues you may be having the teachers will always help you or they will find someone who is better equipped to help and understand your issues or problems. The 2 years i spent here because thats how fast you can get your degree and diploma in a 2 year period went back so quick and i would completely do it again. All the teachers have there own way of giving you the information you need but it is your job to study it. My teacher was awesome so there were times when the teacher would stay later then needed just to help me and other studys or review any information that we werent completely comfortable with yet. It's nice to know that the staff, instructors and teachers really want you to know this information and will not get pass anyone who doesnt know there information. You get to work with so many beautiful animals both which students, and teacher bring in from there homes as well as the labs we attend to practice on larger animals such as horses and cows. It was all just one big thrilling event. All teachers, instructors and staff deserve a raise for the wonderful things they do just on a daily basis to help others that goes unnoticed. During my time here at the Carrington College Pleasant Hill campus i also worked there as a student worker. All staff members are overworked and underpaid. The higher up management people who get paid to do a job that they pan off on the others who are lower in ranked get all the opportunities as well as all the recognition for things they have no part in. I have seen multiple people quit or be fired for what others have done which is not right. The CEOs or whomever is at the top and makes the decision for everyone under them needs to pay more attention to there employees and actually realize what they are doing and know what they are worth. The instructors and teachers do not work here because of the pay or recognition that they so rightfully deserve and need, NO. They work here because they love the people here, because they love the students here, it's because they love what they do and they want us students to make sure we love it to. They do not want us paying so much money and taking all these classes if it is not something we actually want and like to do and are good in it. If all the little dogs got paid more and well enough as well as proper trainer for new employees and not just throwing them to the wolves making them feel overwhelmed and adding boatloads of paperwork to a single person already under stress and having a shoulder looked over every minute wondering if they are messing up because no one was there to properly train them, then the employees at carrington college pleasant hill campus would probably stay longer and would not leave due to things being mislooked at. Thank you for your time. I will always love and miss all the teachers i had, all the instructors who taught me something and all the staff members who became my friends both in and out of the work place.satin williams

My teacher for the Dental Assisting course is top notch. Encourages questions and helps students not just learn the information to pass the course but understand the information in order to have a successful future career. For anyone considering a career as a dental professional, Carrington has an A+ program.Whatssit Touya

I was blown away with their warm welcome and great team work! You can feel the good energy and positivity around them! They really care and made the process so easy. They are very considerate to your feelings, health and safety. They were very polite to me when I stepped in and forgot to put my mask on and they were quick to ask if I had one. Their tech was also very polite and patient with me. All around great experience!Nina Jorgensen
What I was at first worried about how my bone scan would go. I realize now my worry was so wrong. The front desk girls are so professional and friendly they helped to ease my worry. I realized I was in great hands with Andrew. He was very knowledgeable in what he was doing as well as explaining to me what was going to happen. The staff is so much appreciated as well as great at what they do.Lori Koehne

"The Concord branch is housed on the fourth floor of a professional building. The campus facilities are updated, with state-of-the-art equipment. Apart from Concord’s main building, we have a separate classroom for our Radiologic Technology Program. The classroom, located at Alameda Hospital, offers a Radiology Department Room for laboratory use. This radiographic imaging facility allows students to practice setting up modern CT equipment and to conduct the necessary experiments in fluoroscopy on an energized unit."
Review Summary
I’m a graduating student of LVN, i highly recommend Gurnick academy, i had the best experience in didactic classes and clinical with Sir Norman, he, I must say is the best clinical instructor. He provided us a high quality education, He showed us professionalism, his strong work of ethics inspires me to be like him in the future, he doesn't tolerate negative attitude, but he is very considerate to students. You can see the passion and he really wants his students to learn and develop for the better. He pushed beyond what we think is our limits, he developed our critical thinking, he taught us to think outside the box and at the same time encouraged us, he is very knowledgeable, you can ask him any question about any disease process, pharmacology, psych, skills etc. and he can answer all of it and able to explain in a cellular level. For the past years of enggaging myself into this education, I have observed that Sir Norman is the type of person that never let his students down. I've also learned that studying is a process not just to shake everything inside you but to also bring out the best in you and that is what I've obtained from sir Norman. He taught us about professionalism and about putting our patients on top of our priority. He possibly made us one, despite of the diversity we are in. Different nationalities, different traits but we managed to pull it off together. With high regards, Mr. Norman equally have the respect of other doctors and with that, I learned the art of integrity and consistency in my craft. This school have provided me knowledge more than the physical surface but invades in and is transparent to the inward, my virtues, my emotional being and the mental preparedness to the actual field of nursing. I now think that I am ready for the world. I have been eqquiped and been ready as ever for this. I will be forever grateful for the times this school have provided me to grow and ofcourse to everyone that has been a part of this wonderful journey.PMikhail Capulong
It is a great school to learn! They will not let you down and will help you if you are having a hard time in certain class. I had maximize my clinical time because of Mr. Norman Elizaga, he is very professional and knowledgeable, he taught us a lot of things in nursing that i did not experience with any other instructor. He will challenge you until you become a competitive student. At first i was having a hard time with some of my classes until i was put in his clinical group and got my mind set up in concept mapping, that way my classes went easier and became understandable. I then started getting As in my didactics. He changed how my thinking process works as well as my critical thinking in nursing. He is very professional dealing with students. He is the master of wound care! I have seen his works and how professionally he interacts and manages his client’s wounds. Someday I want to be as great as him dealing with wounds. He helped put me on the best path for success. I always thank the Highest Power for letting me meet and be trained by sir Norman. When you decide to go to Gurnick, hope that he’ll be your instructor, trust me, YOU WILL BE IN THE BEST HANDS! ms. Debbie Galloway, ms. Maria Perez and mr. Scott Wallace and of course Dr. G! They will help you as well and they will not let you down. All the Instructors I mentioned worked their hardest just so i can understand the curriculum well. Ms. Debbie gave me so much emotional support whenever she notice that i am about to give up, Mr. Scott helped me get through my anxiety. These Instructors will not just give you knowledge but they pour their heart in this and they will take care of you. That is Dedication! You guys are the best! I am now almost graduating and i will never forget all the things you guys have done. Thank you sir Norman, ms. Debbie, ms. Maria, dr. G, sir Scott! I am very confident that because of all the help that you have given me, i will become a good nurse. Thank you so much! Kudos!Angelica Joyce Marquez
I attend Concord campus and they have decided, at the end of our program, to change to graduation we are having. The previous classes have had a graduation with the program they are a part of. We have been told they are going to make us wait for months and graduate with the entire college. We worked hard to become nurses and to have to sacrifice all we have worked for to have a mediocre impersonal graduation that we are paying for as part of our tuition is unethical. We have sent numerous e-mails in the past 3 weeks (6/21/22) to Jason Frank and Joe K. with no response. They will not acknowledge us, not even in the hallways. We are done in 3 months. To not know what is going on with a celebration we worked so hard to achieve is very unsettling and I do not feel valued as a student here. We are being bullied into something we don't want.DeAndria Thomas

Went to this school in 2018 for phlebotomy and I am highly disappointed with the lady who does the placing in externships. I loved the program itself, the teacher Steve Condon who helped me throughout the program. But to be dropped out of the program because I missed one of my immunizations on my check off list due to the lab I went to making a mistake. I turned in everything else on the check off list before the due date. I even communicated to the front office lady that It was going to be in a couple days later and to let the lady doing the placing in externships know so I wouldn’t be dropped. Then a week letter I get the email I had been dropped from the program, which really devastated me because I stressed paying for this school just to be dropped. She then said she would accept me if I came in every single week and said it would take 6 months to be placed. But I had to work to pay my bills, I couldn’t take off time from work like that if I was already planning to take time off work for an externship if I got one. I get there’s a lot of students ahead of me waiting but almost 2 years later and never heard back ever again.Melissa Medina
Very Professional and Knowledgeable Staff i have gained much confidence in myself in regards to getting back out into the work force after 10yrs. of being away from the medical field. Very up to date classes and equipment used for teaching as well. If your intrested in Medical Assisting or Phlebotomy i would recommend taking the MA with PHLEBOTOMY FULL PROGRAM including (Administrative Medical Assisting, Clinical Medical Assisting,Phlebotomy and a FREE EKG course) it will take you about 1yr. including 2 externships but it was well worth it you will have so many different job opportunities to apply for and areas in a clinic or hospital you can apply too. i don't take my NHAs until this year and I've had job offers and been on interviews already just based on my schooling and the experience in school i have gotten. in the end you will be certified and state licensed in 4 different hospital professions. which you will need as an MA in the future. Thanks CCMC in advance see you in Febuary for my first NHA.Mia Poole (miashimhi)
found ccmcc on GOOGLE for phlebotomy and was not disappointed. originally i was supposed to go to a diff school but apparently they had accredidation issues. well fear not ccmcc does not have that problem. the facility is clean, proffesional, and the staff is helpful and friendly. i have friends who have gone to other schools and they do not even compare. its like fine dining compared to fast food, do you want lobster or a bigmac? their mantra is "once a student always a student" and i have returned many times to bone up on my skill and stay fresh while i wade through the void that is the job market. side note: steve condon is the man and mindi dont play but her smile will light a thousand rooms.dee gee

Review Summary
This is not a good program, very confusing. You need to find hidden assignments. It is bogged down with information but nothing you can understand clearly. If you need a question you need to have a person email you to then tell you to call the school. Omg its horrible. You need to read over 6 hours a day much more than 20 hours of work.Danielle S.
