A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . I think cause it a community college a lot of them are mad cause they can't teach in a four year college through out of the community colleges in NY LaGuardia is the best . That being said she is the third professors that I had that sleeps walks through their class and I had another one that did something that weren't cool and I didn't show up for her class and never got an apology from her. I say if you over 30 years like me this college is not for you. Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. The only reason ppl go here and are willing to grossly pay for an education is the location. I went to school here and will say it is far overpriced for the education you are given. Some staff are great and really care about the education they are providing. Others just read off a powerpoint and have no interest except for a paycheck. Pace is expensive, doesn't help the students getting internships and when the students get one on their own, Pace takes the credit. After graduating, the students don't get a job. One of their alumni just got a good job and due to she owes money, they don't give her transcripts and are retaining her title. Is not possible for Pace to help when the students really need help? This is a good school. However, the quality is almost identical to the CUNY school I attended before coming here that costed significantly less. Additionally, the lack of diversity (granted, because of how this is a private school) is also lacking. Love the QC CUNY campus along with free QC Red/CUNY black shuttle bus for students that has certain pick and drop off points . I really can’t explain what I went through with the staff, so unprofessional and the attitude is horrible I always try to be as nice as possible but the way they treat people is awful. They literally screamed at my mom who does not speak any English for not having her vaccine card with her although she had picture of the vaccine but her phone was dead they yelled at her and did not try to help her enter the building at all. Once I came and approach them they was talking to me with awful attitude and yelling at me!!!!! although I respect the policy but they always could help in situation like this making everything 10X harder and unprofessional behaviour. One of its kinda school Historic place as it is more than 100 year old school CUNY’S most iconic campus so far As building is quite old, construction is going on still it’s worth taking a walk here Lush green gardens and beautiful library plus awesome walkways and old concert hall and other buildings. Library staff is too friendly and easy going and so is the library too They have open tables with solar panels which is awesome Lots of environmental hazards are there which can be dangerous. If I could, I would easily give York a ZERO RATING! NOTHING against the professors I’ve come across, but the school, policy and registrar/bursar staff and policy are ridiculous. I have been charged, during the pandemic I might add FULL. I clearly withdrew from summer classes and was literally ONE day passed the 100% refund date. After, I spoke continuously with bursar who kept sending me back to registrar. ALL professors assisted in submitting documentation showing I DID NOT CONTINUE in the ONLINE courses. Although I submitted required, and accurate paperwork documenting the WHY I could not complete the summer session, this greedy school is charging me ONE HUNDRED PERCENT for courses that their own records reflect that u withdrew from. Again, let me reiterate this was at the time of a Pandemic. I am now not able to register or do anything until this balance is paid. I think this school is deplorable, too much of the staff is unprofessional and not helpful At all! They’re dismissive and there is never any considerations or flexibility offered. If you can, avoid this school. Majority of the staff are unprofessional, lazy and do not seem to take their job seriously. Imagine emailing your professor and days, or even up to week plus passes by with no response. Some professors to avoid, Darrell Morris- extremely unprofessional acts as if he's paying us to be there and not the other way around. Does not actually teach anything, except the one time he was being evaluated. Does not respond to emails. Never comes on camera. Samuel Olagun- jeez where do I begin. Just do not take him. Arrogant, condescending, rude, unresponsive. Evan Owens- spent most of the semester focused on his graduate work than our class. Gave the same grade to everyone in our group project even though 2 people did no work. They earned a free A. Overall the school is a nightmare and I am so happy that I have never had to step foot on this campus. They act like they are doing you a favor instead of their jobs. Lovely campus and easily seen from the street. The school is close to public transportation. The campus houses a high school and an elementary school. The grounds can use some work and some more public art installations. The cemetery is gated but plenty of history ardorns the head stones. The indoor exhibit of The Tuskegee Airmen is worth visiting the campus. The stundent art galley is the best. Ask security for accessibility for people with disabilities. Security at the gate will ask of I. D. He is very pleasant and awesome with directions. Most staff/faculty are helpful too. Better to get assistance from the more experienced staff. They are quite knowledgeable. The food is pricey for college life, but the chicken Marsalis, peas & rice, Mac & cheese and green beans with show string beans cut carrots was a tasty pleasant delight. The logistics of the buildings are identified in letter quadrants to help navigate your way through the buildings. For example 1B 106 would be on the 1st floor in the "B" section. As F-1 visa international student, I would say that ASA College is a great place for our educational and career goals. Professors are responsive and very collaborative as well as helpful. During my education in ASA College I was able to make friends with students from different parts of world. The most of them are my lifetime friends now. Classes are not too big. Therefore, providing a tremendous opportunity to study and excel your knowledge and/or skills. ASA College gave me the opportunity to get my first degree in Medical Assisting in the USA, and also to gain useful experience through work in the admission office. Do not waste your money. This school is a rip-off. My daughter took the EKG and Phlebotomy courses and throughout both courses only received one day of clinical in each area and they were not full days of practice since the school does not use manikins and the students had to practice the phlebotomy on each other and they could not stick each other but so many times…smh. Upon completion, my daughter received the run around trying to get an internship, and during the one internship interview that she went on the doctor told her that she really did not have anything for her as she was just asked to take another intern who was a relative of someone at the school, but she didn't what to tell my daughter no over the phone. She just had her waste her time and gas so she could experience an interview and tell her no in person…really? The school looked like a waste of time from the beginning and I should have gone with my instincts and gone to a reputable program.B. Manuel

I did my ultrasound course from here and my experience was great . Dr. Ayub and his lectures was awesome and he is always there for you in any guidance or questions even after completion of the course. The good thing is that they give hospital internships placement which actually enrich our skill and opportunities to learn varieties of cases and makes you confident. After the completion of the course they also help you for job opportunities which is really helpful as a beginner. I want to say that the Allen School of Health Sciences wasn’t my first choice. I only wanted to get more information about the school. My daughter recommended this school to me. I came and spoke to Ms. Hunter about enrolling in classes. I passed my entrance exam with flying colors and enrolled in their four-week course. I paid off my tuition before classes started. Something came over me before starting that kept saying “I’m going to be a failure” and that I shouldn’t bother to go. I called the school to cancel and spoke with Ms. Zabida. She was very strong and shocked about my statement and said she was going to have Ms Hunter call me. I spoke to my husband who told me that a quitter won’t win and a winner never quits. Soon after Joy gave me a call and said “Ms. Bucknor you can’t quit, you have to reach your goal.” I then spoke with one of the directors, Robert. Rob gave me some great advice and we ended the discussion with “Happy Holiday and I will be seeing you on campus next week.” It made me so happy to speak with them. The nervousness did not go away because it was a long time since I sat in a classroom chair. I even had difficulty sleeping. But, with the help of my classmates and my instructor Ms. July I succeeded and completed the program with an A average! I want to thank my teacher, classmates, and husband for all the support. My experience at Ace Institute has been very successful. After completing my internship I recieved a job offering a week later! Now I am a full time Diagnostic medical sonographer. I’m so proud of myself, I just finished my externship and I’m a graduate of Ace Institute of Technology I started the program in November. I was looking for a school that understands me and able to work with me. From the first time I met with the Director Dr. Gigii she was amazing she motivated me throughout the whole program. I came in with a fungal infection on my scalp and was prescribed antibiotics , I called 3 times and told them my insurance was unable to cover one of the medicines and receptionist did nothing about it. I went for a second opinion and I was told I needed another type of medication for the infection so I was diagnosed with the wrong thing. PA usually spends less than a minute talking and looking at your problem. Location is very nice and clean. Front desk staff are nice but the PAs are always in a rush. It has been two months with multiple visits, only slight improvement to my skin problem. First visit was ok, skin condition improved somewhat. Second visit reversed it with different medication. I have been coming to this facility for many years- for mammograms, ultrasounds and MRI’s. And I am VERY happy with the service and care at this location. I highly recommend you call the office the week of your appointment to ensure that all insurance authorizations have been approved. And it’s best to have a copy of the referral needed for the procedure. Sometimes doctors’ faxes don’t go through as expected, and you want to avoid any and all types of issues on the actual date of your appointment. Fill out the required forms via text before your appointment date. This will save you a LOT of time in the office- and you will be seen more quickly. In terms of the clinic- it is clean and well organized. And the staff is very friendly. I am claustrophobic, and yet, I’ve been able to have MRI’s of my cervical spine and lumbar spine completed at this facility successfully. The MRI technician… I never got his name… but he is SO kind, warm and reassuring. He’d make sure I was comfortable, felt safe and was ready before he’d begin the MRI. It takes about 10 minutes and you’re done. If you’re afraid of the MRI machine, too, just hold on to the bulb that he hands you to squeeze should you ever panic or begin to feel uncomfortable. He will quickly stop the procedure and come check on you. Thank God I’ve never had to use it. I close my eyes as soon as the bed begins to pull into the machine, and I keep them closed. There’s nothing to look at in there anyway. 😋 During that time, amidst all the loud banging and clanking- I talk to God. I sing my favorite songs (in my head). I think about what I want to buy myself as a gift for following through with this appointment. Anything that keeps me calm. Before I get a chance to start overthinking and feeling scared in there, the time is up. And we’re done. I’ve had Stand Up MRI’s done at other locations and they take way longer than they do here. I HIGHLY recommend getting your MRI’s done at Lenox Hill Radiology. And when you’re done, you too, can reward yourself by going shopping at one (or more) of the many shops nearby. 🎉. The automated answering service or automated voice when called does not mention that there is a cutoff time for walk-ins. I arrived at 4pm and was told while I was on line for registration that they were not accepting any more walk-ins. I stayed on line to ask what time was cut off and to speak with as supervisor. I was called into another room and the clerk called someone and asked were they still accepting and the woman on the phone said they were. The technicians who took the X-rays were very welcoming and helpful. They made me feel very comfortable and less annoyed about what happened earlier at registration.Sharon Smith

Horrible customer service. I arrived 30 min early and front desk denied to see me because "the technician had left" which I didnt believe, mind you I had a scheduled appointment months in advance so they knew I was coming for service. I confirmed my appointment the day before and not one courtesy call was made to inform me they couldnt see me for whatever reason. I spent money taking a taxi because I was in pain and all the front desk girl said that was not her problem! Worse customer service experience ever! Please provide training for your front desk staff because its horrible. Would definetly not recommend!Brian Boy

I went for an eye examination that went smoothly. The doctor and the nurse treated me very well and answered any questions I had. Absolute no complaints about them. The receptionists however were very rude to me. I went to the bathroom while I was in the waiting room and asked the receptionists if I was called while I was gone. They gave me a nasty attitude and told me they can’t tell me that information and I have to wait. I didn’t mind waiting, I just had a simple question. I was given an 8:00am appointment . I arrived at 7:30 . The doors were closed . A staff member arrived at 8:07 , asked us to wait another 10 minutes , because she needed time to get ready . We all waited outside the building. We were also given the same appointment time . This is very unprofessional behavior that needs to be addressed. My husband found New York Ophthalmology was professional, helpful, kind and friendly. The doctor's were approuchable and gentle. Most impressive to him was by day two he could see again after having trouble for the past 12 Year's. The facility was clean and staff helped with everything from you being picked up home early, comfortable while waiting, being sure you was safely brought back home after a small snack and juice so you'd be steady on your feet. I live in the bronx and had to get a root canal and found one around the same area since i work so many hours. I had to make it work with the time i had and not doing the correct research i ended up with a horrible dentist literally two blocks away from Dr. Gonzalez office who just rushed each procedure and i ended up paying for my crown out of pocket because of my insurance, which is understandable. Long story short he left me with a permanent tooth that looked like i had a cavity after he filed it. I then left that office and did the correct research and found Dr Gonzalez office which was a few blocks away all that time. I called to make a consultation about getting the work i had done checked out and possibly getting it redone & on top of that i had a another root canal to take care of on the other side of my mouth. On day one of meeting Dr. Gonzalez i explain my entire story and he took the time to listen to me and understand what i really wanted and how i had felt with my previous dentist. He immediately took action and said the work could be done & that it wasn’t hard to fix but that it looked bad for sure. Staff was very polite and flexible with my schedule. My time was valued and Dr. Gonzalez at no time made me feel like he was rushing, or was unprofessional. I got a deep cleaning & also got my teeth whitening as well before the final crown was placed and teeth were looking brighter then ever. Only took me about a month to get my problem solved due to my schedule. But once the final two crowns where placed i was left happier then ever. Both crowns look natural and i cant even tell that they aren’t really real. I left happy with the service over all. Dr. Gonzalez really takes he’s time and delivers his work. Definitely recommend his services and will continue to go there for my annual cleaning.Michelle urena

I have been going to Dr. Gonzalez for a long time. I first walked into his office in pain had a infection and he saw me the same day. I was in my twenties and I am in my sixties now. He has been my children's dentist and we still go there. He is a great dentist very professional and I have sent others there and they are still going to him. This should let you know how good he is. Dr. Bhuiyan is the best doctor that Parkchester have! I have been to many doctors around the area and they are not as caring as he is. I was referred to this training center for the EKG and Phlebotomy program, I must say I have no regret. Excellent services provided by the front desk staffs and Instructor (Dr. Singh), also the programs are very affordable. The environment is very clean and well kept. Dr. Singh is by far the best instructor I’ve came across in my learning experiences, his was of teaching is very easy to comprehend and to pass the EKG and Phlebotomy courses that he teaches. This school is great, their teachers are beyond this world. I took some courses with Dr, L Singh and he was beyond wonderful. I also took some courses with Ms.Henderson on the weekends which taught us so many things that go beyond the practice.
