20 Best Paralegal Programs In St. Louis, MO (2022 Updated)

Please do not attend this school for it's transition to teaching graduate program. The professors did not prepare for their classes and provided low quality education to the point that I could not justify continuing with this program after paying in over $4,000. When attempting to get them to appeal the final $800 for the semester I left the program they simply refused to give any leeway or acknowledge and error on their part and sent me collections with an additional $350 fee. With no recourse beyond their own appeals process that unsurprisingly found no problem on their end, all I can do is complain on their review boards. On the plus side, the do have a beautiful campus and I can not in anyway speak to the quality of their undergraduate program.Daniel Gore

While well established as a great Franciscan university, Marian remains up-and-coming in terms of their MAT program for teachers. I had a wonderful experience in terms of the contacts made and networks formed while attending. However, much remains to be done to increase the rigor and requirements for that particular degree. Still, Marian University will soon open the second medical school in the State of Indiana. They are also adding a seemingly much finer tuned doctoral education leadership program.Tim Lankford

Here visiting for a campus tour with my daughter. So far what we have seen is amazing. Marian University is a great place. The buildings are contemporary except for a few historical sites that were preserved. Other than that, it appears to be a great place. The people were friendly as we visited as well. It's hit or miss with the staff. I'm transferring about 60 credits in from elsewhere and just needed residential credits to graduate. I've been trying to get a degree audit since I started in March. I took 6 credits in the spring, am taking 3 now and 6 more in the fall. I can't get an answer as to whether I'm in need of any credits in any areas to graduate. I never had this problem at any school. When I asked for an audit, they told me, "You just completed your first semester with us. Transfer credits are posted after the students complete a semester with us. Look for those to show this Summer or next Fall." I already completed a semester. I'm on my last 2 classes. This should've been done by now. This is how people waste thousands of dollars on classes they don't need while still coming up short for their program. It's a bad policy, and they shouldn't do that. Update: I'm about 3 weeks from graduating. Taking classes on campus rather than online makes a huge difference in satisfaction levels. I'm changing my star rating because the teachers are pretty good. I'm still a little annoyed with how unresponsive the staff was while trying to get info together for my last semester of college, but it worked out. Three more weeks of class, and I'm blowing this popsicle stand. The school is what you pay for. Some things could definitely use some improvement. I had to pull out of my fifth class, which I didn't sign up for, 2 days too late to get a refund. I wasn't even aware that I was in it till I saw an email about late assignments. I paid the amount they requested after they said it was my fault, at which point they sent me a check for that same amount and then told me that I owed it to them again. It just seems to me as if the entire process is just overcomplicated. I was furious when they signed me up for a class without informing me. I got over it, but when your going to school with a GI bill you don't have the luxury to go back and forth with classes like that. I had explicitly told them that with work, school, and family I couldn't manage more than 4. My experience with the school other than that instance has been well. The instructors have been great and the classes have been educational. The buildings themselves are "rustic" but the staff works within those confines to create the best experience possible.Timothy Taylor

I went to this school after leaving from my four year college just to save my income and somehow, this school did helped me succeed easier after getting my Associate's Degree in Computer Engineering! Both main campus and the technical education center campus are welcoming regardless of what field you're studying for. Whether you prefer day courses, online courses, or night courses, the time and budget will be worth your time as long as you maintain things properly. I hope that in the near future, there will be better services and new expansions being developed for the students of tomorrow.Jonathan Ruiz

Talked to an advisor 3 different times. The first time was a short call had no idea what was going on, okay whatever. Said he would figure things out and scheduled another appointment. Second call his man concern was me attending the webinar and informed me I could only take 2 classes for the first term and a total of 15 credits for the semester. News to me but okay if that's how its gotta be; okay, asked him with less than a month before classes why am I not in any classes yet? He said he would figure it out and get the ball rolling and made another appointment for August 12 to be sure everything was figured out. Third appointment still no classes, and no call. Talked to a different advisor and she told me he would call me back. Finally got from my advisor on the phone 2 hours after appointment where he began with saying I could only take 12 credit hours this semester till I got a gpa for maryville. Towards the end it was now only 9 credit hours for the 1st semester. What! Jack said depending on my gpa this semester I may be able to take 18 next semester. Really? The online master degree in nursing has group work for every single class and almost every week. That doesn't seem so bad until you realizes that there are students all over the country in different time zones working 12 hrs shift. It is difficult to get everyone together on the same day and time, not mentioning the huge impact it has on your grades. So your grade is going to depend on everyone else. That for me destroys the Independence of online school that most working adults are looking for. Not mentioning all the drama that involves group work. The semester costs around $5,500, and I think that is too much money to have your grades jeopardize by inconvenient and excessive group work.Katia Nicholaw

If the admission representative I spoke to today is a reflection of what to expect from Maryville University, I would suggest you look elsewhere. I requested information so I can determine the best path to a graduate degree. I was mocked, scoffed and laughed at by the representative. I'm a vet and am finishing up my first semester at Liberty. So far I have had nothing but good experiences. I was nervous about going back to school after being in service for years, but the transition has been fairly easy with all of the help lve received.My instructors are very personable and go out of their way to help me with any problems I may run into. Professors are very professional and, unlike many schools, encourage students to form their own opinions. I have never felt as though any political agendas or doctrines were being forced upon me. Non Christians are treated equally well as everyone else, and are even welcomed to challenge or question anything they may disagree with. Divinity professors are more than willing to listen to other opinions and will clearly explain anything a non believer might want to know about Christianity. The campus itself is beautiful and full of fun things to do besides schoolwork. I am actually learning, rather than simply connecting dots to get a degree and that is exactly what I hoped for. Since I've gone to the school I've got to see politicians such as Nigel Farage and Donald Trump Jr., musicians like Jeremy Camp, sports stars like Brett Favre, world class entrepreneurs, and experts such as economists who advised the president. I’ve got one year to go to graduate from this place😭 Being a student at this university has been quite a wonderful experience. To be honest I think it’s one of the it’s not the most state of the art schools in the world. It’s impossible to get bored here. I will say though one thing about this place is that if you come here on fire for Jesus then you’ll find people on fire for Jesus but if you come here to party then you’ll find the party people so make of it what you want. Yes there’s been some drama here in the past few years but there’s drama everywhere and Liberty has been able to manage it pretty well I’d say. I absolutely love every single professor that I’ve had here, they’ve gone above and beyond to help make sure that I get an education of quality. Set up a campus tour. It was 3 hours which entailed visiting the dorms and dining areas. To include the fitness and recreation center. As well the Jerry Falwell Library and Vines Center. We walked the campus for a few hours and then we rode the bus for the remainder of the tour. Everyone was friendly. The student tour guides did an excellent job. The campus was huge. It was well maintained. They have three dorm options. One to include apartments that house seven people. Freshmen are able to bring vehicles on campus. Wide selection of dining options. Chick Fil A, Dunkin Donuts and many others. Dining options in same building as library.LaTrenda

This school is good but the instructor in the fundamentals class is no help I reach out to her at the beginning of the semester for help. she told me that she don’t get paid enough to be coming up with no 200 practice questions and told me to use my resources. They like to belittle you and say I got my degree aren’t you trying to get yours. I hope the dean see’s how horrible these first semester instructor are including the lab instructor nasty attitude and who teaches a class without power points and one instructor speed through lectures.megan youngblood

I've been attending this school for a year now and it's horrible. The technology used in class is way outdated. They need a total upgrade because they place looks rundown. The professors are nice people but horrible instructors. I guess that's why they're teaching at a community college. The students there are very ghetto and immature. And all of my classes' subject matter is way to easy for a 9th grader to comprehend. It's definitely not a college level school. That's why I'm transferring to SLU next semester.The Legend

William Woods University is so amazing I cannot even begin to describe how much I love it. I found the University because of the fabulous Equestrian Program but have been able to find and experience so much more while attending. Having the ability to be a college athlete, a student, an equestrian, as well as involved in multiple other clubs and organizations is something that no other University offers. The Woods is truly unique, not only because of its programs, but because of the wonderful, friendly atmosphere that is felt the moment one steps on campus. School was a complete scam. The President and Financial Aid Director were in cahoots to charge all that money. Only one credit transferred. My counselor had to work to get me two. Everyone i know from there got jobs in different fields, including me. They do not help find work the Fashion Merchandise program was a joke. The head of the dept literally told me i was fine where i was at. Terrible place watch out… Added notes I was even accosted by the Financial Aid Director at my job. After seeing me I was mailed a bill saying I still owed and when I paid that's when I got two credits to transfer after two years of school. There's nothing to reach out to you about. I absolutely love SIBA! They have a supportive, nice, accommodating, and informative staff. A large number of their staff currently work in the fields that they are teaching in and they keep the curriculum interesting and current. As an older student who has done college before, I knew that I needed to get a better education and find a better job to take care of myself, but I also didn't want to invest in 4 years of schooling. Do not let the size of this school fool you. It may be small, but it is a powerhouse! My sister recently graduated from here, is doing fabulous, and has already landed her first job!!! She only had positive things to say about her program, her instructors, and the quality of the education she received. Since they have instituted 6 sessions Columbia College has proven they are not about the students. By making this move they force students to take student loans or lose part of their Pell grant due to not being enrolled full time. They try telling their students that 6 sessions per year will benefit them. Being a student that is currently enrolled and have been for a few years now I can tell you it is of no good to the student. Not only does it cost us more but instead of having any type of break between already accelerated courses we only have two days off. This is ultimately going to lead to more stressed out students and lower GPA's. There was a time I recommended this College to everyone I came across. Now sadly I make it very clear Columbia College is the worst college you could attend. It is a joke. Rolla's new policy if we don't offer something you need in seat take it online. Not mentioning that not only are online courses significantly more expensive but the work that is required for these is beyond reason. I am talking at minimum double the workload of an in seat class. The teachers are great, administration from the main campus down is terrible. This is no longer a student centered college no matter what their website portrays.Sean Dahlman

I'm currently enrolled at CC. This is the best college I've ever been to. The faculty is understanding and very helpful. They actually care about your education. My advisor was by far the best. She helped me through some very tough decisions and helped me to make the best financial decisions. I visited the enrollment center 3 times to change classes due to my own reasons and all three times they were understanding, helpful, and encouraging. I also went to the enrollment services about my financial status multiple times throughout the year and they were always there to help. They showed me my financial plan exactly including scholarships, loans, and grants. They explained everything to where I could understand and even printed me copies of my plan. BEST COLLEGE containing the VERY BEST PEOPLE! The other reviews that had one star and rude comments, it's because of their stupidity and closed mindedness. I had a terrible experience at this school. I would highly recommend not going to this college. They do not care about how you as the student does. All they care a bout is your money. You will NEVER hear back from any of your online teachers. I tried emailing a teaching with a question 3 times and not once did I hear back from the teacher. If for any reason you need to withdrawal they will not except it. Even if you withdraw a day or 2 after the deadline, they will make you pay every cent, even if you had good reason for the withdrawal. If you want to attend a college that cares about your needs and your success I would highly recommend choosing a different college because the only thing they care about at this college is getting your money. terrible people place full of liars and conmen! i had gone a few years back got student aid and had a bunch of things come up and had to drop out so i dropped out within the time frame so i wouldnt have to worry about paying anything back. cool few years go by and out of no where they are claiming i owe them money now and i argued this no one cared to look into this at all and now they take my state taxes every year to pay it back and they refuse to give me my transcripts to attend another college.. absolutely do not waste your time with them its a money sink they dont care about the students they dont care about education they have zero professional pride. honestly goto a proper college get a proper degree because these people dont care about anything but a paycheck. they do absolutely no investigating at all with anything ive got lists of things that happened where a proper investigation should have been done and they didnt. Having attended a number of 4 year universities, I am rather impressed with the quality of the instruction here … and at a fraction of the cost. As traditional private four year universities hunker down and concentrate on obtaining federal grants, and begging for scraps from alumni while generally ignoring the students, this school's mission is primarily educational. Sure the food isn't gourmet, and all the students aren't hand picked from private schools via house recruiters … but, in honesty, this school is more academically rigorous than many private universities, and without all the fluff that costs a pretty penny in tuition. In addition, unlike private universities, one can take classes here just for fun without breaking the bank; many such classes and certifications are offered for those wishing self-improvement and to learn without academics raining on their parade. I particularly recommend the Horticulture Program, it is both top notch and unique.Andrew Covey

I'm wrapping up my associates soon. Meramec is a pretty good college. Advisors are ok, very hit and miss but my advisor was great. Admissions people were not as great. Financial aid is good. Professors are 80% good and 20% bad. The bad ones are REALLY bad and drag down your experience here. Use "rate my professor" or talk to other students to find the good professors. I had a class with a professor that told us he hated his job and we could tell because that class was hell. I doubt many universities are any better because every place has at least a few bad professors. Do your research, advocate for yourself, sign up for good courses, and you will do great and save a ton of money.Katya R

I appreciate Rasmussen University for having an abundance of resources and many professors and other staff members who demonstrate they want students to succeed. I especially have enjoyed being a peer educator, being privileged to work with Tammy Hopps who is an excellent supervisor and leader, and also being able to work with other peer educators who care for their peers as much as I do. I transferred from a local state college, which I considered sticking with to save money, but in reality, not much is saved when you compare the timeframe for graduation. At the state college it would take me an extra 2 whole years to receive my BSN, whereas at Rasmussen I save 2 years of time because of their second-degree BSN option. I am very pleased with the quality of technology – at the state school blackboard and other resources were slow and did not work as well on my cell phone, whereas with Rasmussen I can easily access everything I need from my phone when I'm on the go. It's inspiring to see so many single parents and married parents in school, some of which also work full time or part time like myself while completing their degree. I had such high hopes when enrolling at this school. However my experience hasn't been favorable at all. I am a current student and I was disappointed because even though I was able to enroll and start classes I really felt unsupported on this journey. I'm realizing Rasmussen may not be the school for me. I REALLY thought I would be supported and encouraged. I was made to feel that Rasmussen would be rooting for me through my academic journey. Instead I am bombarded with emails and calls telling me what I already know… I owe money. No calls or emails about how I can be helped to budget so that I can pay more toward the balance. I'm only being told: what I owe, to get the balance down to $500-$1000 and to take out loans; which will only put me in debt and it's too early to be taking out loans when I've been in school since September of 2021 and have 2 more years. Also this school doesn't cater to single parents, limited income and individuals that HAVE to work. This school ONLY has day classes for the nursing program and as I said before I HAVE to work full time.Sherria Clark

This morning I called the university for the North Orlando Campus for the Nursing program and spoke to the director of Nursing who was discusstingly rude on the phone. I called to get information, He had no patience and told me Not to proceed a career in Nursing because it was Not for me. This was a university that I was so excited to be a part of and be a graduate of Nursing. The director needs to be Fired because he is giving the university a bad reputation. I love Columbus State and this is why: Before Columbus State: Growing up, I was never interested in the information taught in school, because I did not feel like it was applicable to the real world. After a year at a private college, I was originally apprehensive to restart college at any college. I was also scared of a community college. I grew up in Michigan, and I felt like our local community colleges had negative stigmas attached to them. Luckily, my older brother took me into the application office in Delaware, OH to take the entrance exam. I believe I tested out of an english and/or a math class. While at Columbus State: I would like to note that I always attended C-State as I held a part time job (10-20 hours a week). I originally attended an EMT-B class at Columbus State. The class was more challenging than I had anticipated and was pretty time consuming. I received a B in this course, but found employment immediately in the field and felt confident in my skills. A year later, I returned to C-State with the desires to go to nursing school. Thanks to ample meetings with advisors in Health and Human Services, I decided to take some prerequisite nursing classes as there was a waiting list to apply for their nursing program (while I worked part time as an EMT-B). During this year, I found more confidence in my work and studies, feelings of support and encouragement from staff, and rewards from hard work. I was also able to sign up easily for academic accommodations for the first time in my life! I loved my time at Columbus State within this year! I never thought I would love school or receive my first 4.0 GPA in the spring and summer semesters. For the first time, school finally felt fulfilling for me. After Attending Columbus State: I decided to leave C-State after a full academic year, and I pursued a BSN degree through another local school. I often look back at my time at C-State and regret that I did not take more classes here while saving a decent amount of money! I would suggest night classes if you are willing and able. I found that students were more likely to be hard working, more mature, disciplined, and also employed. I also found professors who taught night classes were often from OSU and more understanding. Generally my teachers were all very competent, funny, and held experience in the world. The only negative experience that I found was dealing with C-Stat's Police department staff and accessing their gym/locker room. Students must sign up manually for the gym locker rooms every semester at C-State's Police department and then wait for several days for your card to be accepted from security/police. This system seems dated and non-productive. I feel like this process should be easily automated. This issue led to a negative experience I had with a police officer that identified as Sergeant Diamond. I felt like this officer escalated my personal situation while being disrespectful and patronizing. Another time I was eating a meal in my car between classes when a police car pulled up to me and asked why I was parked between two spots in an empty parking lot and then asked me to pick a spot. I'm sure the police department deals with things they don't want to. I could have been lucky and experienced two poor attitudes on hard days, but I do not feel like the police department is fulfilling their mission that states they want to provide "exceptional customer service" for their students based on my only two experiences with them. I would take a look at how the police staff is trained at C-State.Connor Hill

I have enjoyed Columbus State and majority of the people I’ve met here while on track to my BA but this college needs some serious restructuring. The biggest thing I wish Cstate would look into is their faculty. When I go to ratemyprofessor.com and see many of them at a 1 to 2 star rating, that concerns me. I have personally had good and bad professors here and majority of the good ones were adjunct professors, the bad ended up being tenured faculty. I wish the college would look into the gripes students have and start to question whether or not they should be hiring adjunct professors to replace them. The only other major issue I’ve had is from advisors. The point of the advisor is to advise the student on their education path, but when I have a genuine question or concern, interrupting/having a snarky attitude doesn’t come off as professional to me. One last thing, please talk with the finance department about putting a budget together for another parking garage. I don’t go during peak hours anymore but when I did parking was atrocious. It will be 6 weeks this semester (Spring 2019) before CSCC releases financial aid refunds. I cannot believe they get away with this! OSU is 9 days after the start of the semester! Some people rely on these excess funds to survive another semester of school! This should be illegal and I’m pretty sure it is because according to federal financial aid funds are to be released up to a max of 14 days after the start of a semester! Insane to make people wait 6 weeks+ to receive their refund. Also, parking is obnoxious here any time of day. It also seems to me that each department does not have a good linear structure of teaching so each professor is just kind of doing their own thing whichever way they feel like doing it. Some classes are too long some are too short. It really feels like no one is in control here it’s just a free for all I guess. Employees are not friendly in any way shape or form. Great small college. At LCSC you really get to know the faculty and students personally. Most students in my program are in all my classes each semester. This let's you build close and lasting relationships with individuals going into your field. Professors care about students and want them to succeed. One down side is that there there may only be a single live offering of a class each semester in certain programs.Samantha Newell

I was very impressed by the professionalism shown by the women's athletic department, personnel. Both individuals answered all my questions and treated me with respect. Received my BS in Business Administration here, for a very reasonable price (by college standards) . Let's be honest though, $3,000 after books to sit in a classroom for 2 days a week per class – that seems a little steep. I feel that my education was of the same quality, or better, than I would have received from the University of Idaho or Boise State.Ryan Hermann

The financial aid process is terrible and I have encountered many road blocks. It took me months just to sort out the paperwork with financial aid. My first semester IN CLASS was good. I enjoyed the class and the teachers were great. I tried to enroll in summer classes and found out I did not have financial aid. It would have been nice to know that this process must be done for each semester. I tried to get financial aid for the fall semester only to encounter another road block. The financial aid office states they need proof of citizenship. I have already provided documents stating I am a naturalized citizen and they have it on file. This is the same document they used to approve me for financial aid my first semester. Suddenly this documentation is not proof enough. Keep in mind I have not been contacted by the school stating this has been an issue. I had to call the school to figure out why I haven't been approved. They gave me the usual run around. Getting anything done at this school is like pulling teeth. If you can go somewhere else I would recommend to do that. Also the financial aid office has some bad attitudes… just want to update that my student loan payments are no longer deferred until after graduation. Im currently considered as unenrolled and my grace period has started which means i am required to make payments on my loans while also trying to re enroll back to this school. At the beginning of the year I received a pell grant that totaled my tuition for the entire year and then some. I was then advised that even though I had the money to pay for all of my classes and receive extra afterwards that they would not pay for two of my classes because they are not on my plan for my degree. I am going to a new school in the fall because scc is constantly changing requirements for their degrees and I have 3 classes that I have taken that do not count for anything. So I need those two classes to transfer but they keep emailing me to drop them before it “hinders my financial status”. They don’t pair you with an academic advisor and don’t really help you with choosing classes or advising you of anything beyond your first semester there. I also had a code that I needed for a book for my math class that totaled $60 dollars. I reached out to the financial aid department about this and they said that since the book was through a 3rd party that financial aid would not cover it. All in all this is not a helpful campus. They advertise that they’re a 2 year school but if I stay here it will take at least 3.5 to just get an associates degree. They don’t help with financial aid answers and don’t provide the necessary tools to have a healthy education. I have tried with my daughter to get her Aplus program figured out, and each time she or I go to the admissions desk/department, they seem to not really care and not anxious to help, almost as though they are bothered by her or I asking for help. I would recommend, if you have the option to go to another community college, to be sure to check if the administrative/admissions desk will be willing to help and read reviews about the college you are thinking about choosing. This was my first go around with a child entering college, but for my next 3 we will look for sure at other colleges and other options. If you can get past all the above, my daughter has not had any issues with the professors. So in summary, if you can get past admissions and administrators maybe a good choice. But just be aware you will be figuring things out on your own or plan to be very frustrated and put off due to their processes.The Hawk Seven

Absolutely horrendous. I originally rated the school at 3 stars while I was attending but now that it's over they deserve as few stars as possible. The pros: great Art, Philosophy, and Engineering Technology programs. The cons: pretty much everything else. Parking is a joke. After gouging you on price for a sticker they intentionally oversell (e.g. 130 stickers for 100 spots) they often ticket and/or tow regardless of whether you've got the sticker displayed. Food services is equally asinine. The staff and workers are all friendly and mostly competent but the selection and hours of availability are poor at best and any meal or plan is horrendously overpriced. The computer science department (both professors) recently quit and were replaced with whatever they could find in the bargain bin. The math department, while surprisingly helpful and personable, is woefully underfunded. Maybe the new president will fix things but my time (and a sizable amount of money) has already been wasted.Eric Lawson

My daughter was a freshman here. She got in a little trouble a misdemeanor and was immediately voted off campus and 2 year suspension and even tho she did not have operaters license or transportation. She was told she had to evacuate dorm even without transportation. This policy is the worse school policy i ever seen. I will be talking with Ky. State dept. Of Education. I had one daughter graduate and had a wonderful experience at the school . My other daughter graduates in December and is in the music Dept. She sings in the choir and in the musicals they have . It is a school that seems close knit with the students and cares about there future .Bobby webb

The staff at the registrars office needs a lot of work. They have made the process of requesting a transcript a disaster. As a "catholic" educational institute the school should understand the need of transcripts and do their best to accommodate students in there path of continuing education. The staff needs to work on both their customer service skills and conflict resolution practices. The behavior of the staff during phone conversations and email correspondence has been completely inappropriate. Our firm would separate from individuals with their antics as soon as possible. I have been requesting my transcript since July 28 and my new school has still not received it. It my understanding that my transcript was finally sent on August 8 but I have been given no proof of that. UMSL understood my concerns on the situation and offered to accept the transcript via email. I sent an email to SLU at 10:40 asking them to send my transcript to UMSL via email as soon as possible. After hearing no response, I sent two additional emails at 12:30 and 2:00 but still received no response or indication my emails had even been requested. I finally called the school at 2:30 and the assistant registrar argued with for several minutes about how I was insulting and didn't allow them time to respond. However, she was well aware of the situation and knew who I was before I even mentioned my name. Instead of arguing for several minutes with a disrespectful attitude the correct method for resolution would have been apologizing for my experience and trying to accommodate my needs. After I explained it is taking more time to argue then to fix the situation I was told it would be emailed that day. At 3:30 I received a completely inappropriate email in which I responded with my concerns on how the school handled the situation. In my opinion the school is more of hassle than it is worth. You should always put the education of your students or former students first instead of treating someone with utter disrespect. I have asked to sit down with whoever oversees the registrars office. I have several suggestions on how the staff can improve and work with students in a respectful and helpful matter.Chelsea Langeneckert

It's a private university, so it costs more than others in the area, but if you have financial need or have great grades, you can get a LOT of help. The school itself feels very separate from the surrounding area. It's almost as if going into another city when you step off campus. The professors are wonderful, the reputation is good, and honestly the grounds are beautiful. I don't regret my time here and would happily attend again.Chelsea

I recently finished my first year at SLU and I could not be happier with my decision to go here. I am in the nursing program and lived in a learning community last year. I met so many amazing people and I loved my professors. I had so many great opportunity a this year alone and I will also be attending The schools campus in Madrid Spain in the full.Grace Miklosovic

An Absolutely Awful Experience… It seems to me that majority of the faculty and staff are there to make a buck and don't care about providing an education to the students. After many run ins with the Financial Aid Office, Admissions, Office of Accessibility and Disabilities, and many departments I realized that the whole school was just a big business that was in it for the money and I believe most of the issues that I faced were due to poor communication between departments, advisers, professors and students. I had multiple issues that occurred with class enrollment which was ultimately blamed on me. I was then required to pay for classes that I didn't even take. To notify me of these facts the Registrar's Office sent me a rude email about how these issues are not their problem and students need to be more responsible. I went in to the Financial Aid to pay this with a card and was then told that they only could accept cash or check because their system was down. I was able to pay online but then of course incurred a convenience fee. In other instance where I had issues I was run around between multiple advisers and departments unable to get answers and heard too often, "we don't have record of that." In my last year of school I changed my major from Aviation to General Studies. I hoped to change to a business major but the school didn't make this possible and stated the reason was because I would need to retake the businesses classes I had already taken. Supposedly even though the required classes and classes I had taken were the same title and course they were not comparable as there are classes of these courses specifically for business majors. The Aviation Department has a few nice people in it but has too few instructors and grounds students due to this. The department is very political and seems to only value students that are in the aviation clubs and organizations. I wish that my experience at UCM had been better as I met many friends and made some great memories. But students should only have to worry about passing classes and not how to escape the tangle of policies the school has in place making the whole college experience confusing, expensive, and unsatisfactory. Worst communication ever. Do not stand behind their word to ensure students have the assistance they need. Documented "direct communication" with my student even after he no longer was attending college classes. He literly had not been on campus or had communication with anyone at the university and his mentor documented 15 accounts of communication. When I asked them to explain the communication and brought to their attention my student Haden even been on campus or spoken to anyone. His mentor did not respond. I guess that means he didn't have a response or justification of the false documentation of dates. They talk a good game but in the end truly only care about the money and not the student. I would not encourage anyone to attend this University. Very poor communication and no one wants to take accountability for false information. In the end it is more about geting the tuition money and not about providing the tools the student needs to be successful. As I have begun and ended this journey with UCM I have spoken to several mother's that have had the same experience with their student. Very sad and disheartening. This is the most disorganized college I have ever had to deal with. For one it was a mess trying to even get admitted to get my bachelors degree. Second, after I earned by bachelors degree I applied for a graduate program. They denied me because they said I didn’t meet the GPA requirements when I in fact did. I was borderline at meeting the GPA requirement and I knew this. I waited until my final grades were posted before applying to ensure I would meet the requirement. Apparently the system they use to evaluate applicants does not update appropriately and it listed by GPA before completing the program. And when I shared my concerns with them they had the nerve to tell me that most applicants that get accepted have a higher GPA than mine. I get that the programs can be competitive but I felt that it was very unprofessional to tell me that after I had already been denied. Also, I met the program requirements so maybe they need to raise the GPA requirements if most accepted applicants’ GPA is higher. I gave them two stars just because their tuition rates are much lower than most universities in the area.Anonymous

St.louis is so lucky to have such a prestigious school in the heart of our city. Its so pretty and the campus is is pretty quiet at the moment due to covid but when everyone is on campus everyone you pass smiles and if you ever need help find a building everyone is willing to help point out the direction you need to go. Beautiful campus with all the traditional styled buildings. I really like the new Bauer hall which features a huge glass roof. I went to Sam Fox school to learn more about their Architecture programs. The staff and faculty there are super friendly and answered all my questions with passion.Yuchen Guo

If I could put no stars I would. Okay so I was doing pretty well in the college at first all A's and B's everything was going great! Until I ended up having to help out with rent so I had to get a job, and being a mother also I am one of the few who would NOT want to put that much stress (job, kids, and school) on myself. So I call them and tell tell whoever (if only I remembered her name) my situation and how I won't be able to attend anymore, and she ends up asking me all these questions like why am I withdrawing and questions that shouldn't really be asked because she didn't even say it's policy or anything, she just wanted to know. So I tell her I'm starting my new job soon and she asked me the one question that just actually made me done with her, she asked, "Are you sure you're not able to do all 3?" as in all 3 she means taking care of my child, going to work, and going to school. Let that sink in. It actually made me even more frustrated because she was telling me that if I did now it would cost a lot to pay back, but listen if I have to withdraw I have to. There's no 'Are you sure you want to?' So they said they'd call and tell me the rest of the details so we can get through with the withdrawal process and I haven't gotten a call yet but what I did get was an attendance email from Outlook telling me that I won't be able for eligibility for my financial aid if I miss 14 days. Wow. So, I'm going to call them now because this is ridiculous and I do not have time. But if you do go to this school, please be careful. i know that other people will have a better experience or whatever. But this is not one of them.AiKitty Chan

I was excited to start my online career here. However the guy in admissions that was assigned to me was not for me. He was not personable at all I only spoke to him one time and that was for five minutes he never explained anything just said he will send me an email if assessments that was it never heard from him again I tried email him several times never received a email or a phone call until five day later stating to complete more assessments I had questions and he did not answer them . I tried calling to see if I could get someone new they said no I had to work with him. 1. They don’t offer free counseling to students. I can’t imagine a university not caring about their students mental health 2. The bus schedule to pick students up to bring them to the university is unclear and the coach for Soccer said she never sees it either 3. You don’t have a credit union. Many students don’t have credit and credit unions are a great/safe way to help students open up into that world. UW Green Bay has all of these things. When you’re looking for a job they don’t care if you go to a private college or not. Your experience trumps everything, so consider that before applying.Blue Lagoon

I’ve been doing Penn Foster online schooling for almost a whole year now. I’ve found this online experience a great one. They are very helpful in all ways possible. I’ve struggled so much in the past with schools , I’ve been to over 6+ schools and I started at the point have an IEP/ taking classes for it. I am the mother of two students at Penn Foster who just graduated. They are 15 and 17 years of age. They were placed in Penn Foster due to being bullied by teachers at their local school. My oldest enrolled with 0 credits in Oct of 2019 and my youngest enrolled with 7 credits in June of 2020. My oldest graduated Dec 07, 2020 and my youngest graduated Dec 23. 2020. They loved that they could go as slow or as fast as the wanted. They loved not having a schedule or having to have any interactions with teachers. Their overall experience was great. I have one more student, my 16 year old step-daughter working on it now. She's 41% done. We also have a 14 year old who will be enrolling once done with 8th grade.
