A few years ago I dontated a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of meteorites and gems. Never even got a thank you note. Real nice guys, good job. Please do not attend this school for it's transition to teaching graduate program. The professors did not prepare for their classes and provided low quality education to the point that I could not justify continuing with this program after paying in over $4,000. When attempting to get them to appeal the final $800 for the semester I left the program they simply refused to give any leeway or acknowledge and error on their part and sent me collections with an additional $350 fee. With no recourse beyond their own appeals process that unsurprisingly found no problem on their end, all I can do is complain on their review boards. On the plus side, the do have a beautiful campus and I can not in anyway speak to the quality of their undergraduate program.Daniel Gore

While well established as a great Franciscan university, Marian remains up-and-coming in terms of their MAT program for teachers. I had a wonderful experience in terms of the contacts made and networks formed while attending. However, much remains to be done to increase the rigor and requirements for that particular degree. Still, Marian University will soon open the second medical school in the State of Indiana. They are also adding a seemingly much finer tuned doctoral education leadership program.Tim Lankford

The buildings are contemporary except for a few historical sites that were preserved. Other than that, it appears to be a great place. The people were friendly as we visited as well. I took the CNA ‘Plus’ programme there back in October 2021. For $2395 we never got a clinical! And the facilities and equipment provided were unbelievable! One mannequin with its leg falling out and not even a proper night gown to keep it from being exposed! Sheets were dirty! Equipment faulty, and now we are STILL waiting to take our state licensure exams! If you’re taking the CNA programme, do not take the “plus part” it is a waste of money and time. State Street U is amazing. I attended 22 years ago and stopped by for the first time since then and I was amazed to find, updated buildings, a beautiful store, and a whole new feel. The professors and professionals were mostly great when I was there and though I don't attend, I had a chance to talk to administrators and they are still amazing. It is a fantastic education at a great price. If you are looking for a great community college, look no further than STCC. I had an excellent undergraduate educational experience at Immaculata University and I would highly recommend it. In the professional world, I have run into alumni from Immaculata and I'm finding it no coincidence that these individuals are talented, intellectual, and ethical (perhaps the biggest differentiator). It was very clear to me that the staff genuinely care about the current and future success of the student body. This beautiful private campus is set in the picturesque countryside of Malvern, Pennsylvania along King Road. Once an all girl school, Immaculata will forever hold bragging rights to the first ever women's collegiate basketball champions, The Might Macs! Spending almost 4 years at Immaculata University has been a great experience. This college sits by itself on King Road which makes it nice for no distractions. Immaculata is fortunately right near Exton and King of Prussia Mall, so it is easy to get away when needed. Such a very beautiful campus! Staff and the students we met are very nice and helpful. I'm such a proud mom that my daughter is choosing to attend this Mount St. Mary's University. If you get the chance to go make sure to visit the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, it's a very beautiful place. I just completed the MSN FNP program, however, my diploma/degree conferral is being held until September. As a result, I cannot obtain a license to practice until, at least, September. Most likely, it’s going to be even longer than that. I had a job lined up but, now that I have no way to get certified for, at least, two months, that’s gone. Oh, and, yes, it does state that at the end of the end of a page, after encouraging me to take two different certification exams which run upwards of $300 each just to sit for the exam. There are review courses available but each one runs about $395 if you want a reputable one. So, in summation, I have completed an advanced degree, have incurred the cost of this degree, still have to work as an RN for two to three more months, lost my potential job, and my diploma is, in essence, being held for ransom. Dr. Sara Runge and Dr. Eileen Shanahan arranged a summer Camp for GRAD Cincinnati this week (June 13th-June15th). This is our 7th year working with Dr. Runge and as in previous years the program was very well planned. The students were able to experience the campus life by staying in the dorms and all of the colleges with hands on experiences. The students' presentations indicated they all learned a great deal. They all stated we had a great time. Even though the weather hit a record high, the staff from NKU worked very hard to make certain the students had a fulfill campus experience. NKU staff and professors did an outstanding job providing a 3 day college tour/retreat for our High School students. NKU staff offered our students opportunities to explore their academic interests, participate in hands on activities and visit a variety of labs, which in turn helped spark new ideas for career options and educational pursuits. Students were given opportunities to ask questions, interact with professors, department heads, other staff members, and a student panel which helped them to understand college on a deeper level. I do not recommend this school to anyone. There was a lot of grade school style homework and a broad spectrum of effort put in by my professors. Most of my homework was distributed digitally by the respective text book's website — NOT the professor. This created a huge disconnect when discussing homework issues in class. It was frustrating knowing my professors were not curating our homework, rather, it was being outsourced by a subsidized textbook. Their job is to educate, but remember they are there to make a profit. I could not afford my bill so they sold my debt to a collection agency.J s

My first college experience was here and it wasn't a particularly good one. The building is nice with a very comfortable atmosphere, though the parking lot is a nightmare. There is not WiFi through the entire building, which is infuriating for a student with an on campus class that is also entirely on the internet. Great school. but I think if we're paying $300.00 for a book and paying $8.00 on top of that for shipping a signature should be required from UPS and some type of insurance on it. I really question whether anybody that says UM is racist/riot fueled has ever been a student here. I can personally attest to the acceptance and diversity of the school. I've liked most of my professors, and other students have been friendly. I can honestly say that I've learned a lot from my classes and have been presented a lot of opportunities to succeed. If anyone works hard to get here, Ole Miss has many teachers and programs to reward you for your effort. That's what I look for in a college. We get bad press because we are in the South and it makes us an easy target for the media. They like to play off the stereotype that we are some backwards racists. Ask any student here about the "riot" and they'd probably laugh. I would challenge anyone to find a college that doesn't have any students that discriminate. Ole Miss is absolutely amazing! I love it for undergrad I am enjoying it for grad school and the advisors are one of a kind because they are actually invested in helping the students! I will say that as a commuter paying out of state tuition is not that great, if I can drive there daily I should be able to pay in state tuition. Also, it takes a while to get your financial aid, the office is always working and have people on task but if you can’t get into the office for some reason email, phone calls, and zooms as your secondary option takes much longer. As a parent, teacher, and full time student I rely heavily on my financial aid and each time it is just a hassle, I wish the process was smoother.Katrina McCrackin

Oxford is the best place to live in the south. There's always something to do and a great place to raise children. I loved attending Ole Miss and love my Rebels! I can't really complain about anything. We're close enough to travel to a beach, casino, Beale and Bourbon Street, yet we'd rather be sitting in The Grove on a home game weekend. Ursuline College states the college has the highest academic and graduation rate in their nursing program. Ursuline College is not the only nursing program where students are learning their curriculum on becoming a successful nurse. I've known previous and current students who have graduated from other schools that offered the nursing program for an Associates or a Bachelors degree, and have moved on to successful careers at major hospitals in the greater Cleveland area. My experience here in my first semester has been a disaster. On my very first day, I attended a class called First Year Semester, and I had to drop out of it because during a group session with Dr. Johnson who literally accosted and debased me right in the front of the class, all because I expressed my opinion on the challenges of being flexible when you're working and collaborating with your peers. That has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I am eager to step away from this college, so I can resume my studies elsewhere. Finally, Ursuline College is no better than the average college in the great Cleveland area.Bella Rose

Beautifully landscaped in suburban Cleveland, this Catholic college offers degrees with a distinguished reputation. Recommend the dorms be renovated; however, all other buildings on the college campus are utilized efficiently or re-purposed. The Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland reside on the grounds in their Mother House. A tour is a must to really appreciate this collegiate gem in the realm of women's higher education.Krista Thomas

I recently was enrolled in the graduate cohort for reading and writing. I have been teaching for almost 10 years and found most of the classes insulting. I felt I knew more than the cohort professors and learned very little new. Many of the text books were from early 2000. Considering the vast changes in LA recently, I felt many classes provided information that was not up to curent reading philosphies and/or research. The rubrics were so convoluted that the professors couldn't figure them out or they did not pertain to the topic. Many classes were spent going back and forth over the rubrics only to have them change again. Knowing what I do now, I would not waste the money, but would have done an on-line course for 1/3 the price.K Palmer

As a current junior undergraduate at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT, I am very happy here. I came to USJ as a shy, timid girl without the confidence to speak up in class. I am now a confident woman that isn't afraid to voice my opinion or share my insights. USJ has given me the platform to grow as a person and to realize exactly what I want out of college and out of life. In the past, I have always been unsure what the future would hold for me but ever since I've been at USJ my path has become more clear. I have enjoyed having a one on one relationship with the faculty. They are super friendly, and I enjoy learning and having a friendly academic relationship with my instructors. I have learned to strongly intertwine academic health with a strong belief in the gospel while being at SBU. The SBU answer: Professors teach the classes— not one TA or GA replaces a professor. All of my daughter's professors and the university president KNOW her by name. It's personal at SBU. Writing a review for UNMC is an emotional task for me because they have been there for my mom and family through life, sickness, recovery, health, and even death. In all they've been there for they did right, without judgement or bias, and with care, hope, and support. I live in Kansas, but I know this hospital and all the towers better than some streets near my home. I've interacted with many specialty doctors, nurses, techs, housekeeping staff, ER, security team members, and so many others. We've experienced teams in Kidney Transplant, Wound Care, Cardiovascular, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Derm, Cancer Center, and the Comfort Care Team. I can tell you that these teams are here because they love what they do. If you're considering UNMC as a new place to care for your needs I would do so without hesitation. When my mom moved they were so helpful in her transition to Kansas. Without them we'd be lost. We will miss each of her teams, their knowledge, and their care. It was so hard to leave.Tam E

Very disappointed in care provided. Nursing seems sorely under staffed. Although they frequently have cell phone in hand. Communication between staff (doctors and nursing staff)is lacking. Communication of providers and patients is insufficient. Facility is dirty dusty and run down. And should we talk about HIPPA….nothing to talk about….it doesn't exist there. Hep locks do not get flushed even after several days….negligent much? Showers/bed baths not offered to patient even after 3 days in-house. Are they trying for some nosocomial infections?S B

Today I went to Nebraska medical center and the eye clinic. The people that are very friendly and nice it's clean has three levels. The doctor I seen seem very knowledgeable and was very concerned with my eye condition it was funny when we first pulled up and parked in the first row there was a broom next to the handicap sign made me laugh remind me of handicap which parking. Someone probably had clean snow off their car with the broom and left it there.Karen Beautiful

My grandson attended 1 semester in 2017. The staff appeared to be helpful during the enrollment process. They had him in classes that he shouldn't have had to begin with…. he didnt have a choice to get generals out of the way. They wanted you to take classes that you would have to continue with there so you could never transfer anywhere else. When you set up an account online, if there was a problem getting access, they never assisted you. We ended up with a big bill because staff were never available or returned calls. When my grandson called to speak to them, their lines wouldnt even ring! I personally was present when this happened! He tried to call to tell them he wasn't returning for 2nd semester. Then he received a $980. Bill in July because he never notified them. When I called in May to verify all Bill's were totaled, they assured me it was correct. Then we got that letter in July! So by the time they turned the bill over to Mn Dept of Revenue for collections, they added another $2500. To collect. So the total was over $12,200. For 1 semester! Like I said, the staff appears to be helpful, but when theres a problem, they just arent available to help. Seemed a bit of a scam to me. I personally would steer clear from this institution. It's in a small rural community with very limited employment opportunities for a student to have a part time job. Sorry SMSU for the not so good review, but I feel future students need to hear the truth.D Kruse

I graduated from 2009, and went to a junior college for my first two years. Following that I transfered to SMSU. Once I got to Marshall it was easy to see that I had downgraded. The Campus of SMSU is old and out dated, with poor parking set up. Parking it self is always a risk because of the random parking tickets that get issued. It seems like once a week a person could get a new parking ticket. Class sizes are fair to OK they are not as small as they boast about on the radio, and you are a number at SMSU they are business first organization. If there is a way that they can make an extra dollar or two off of their students they find a way how. Whether its changer around classes for majors so seniors are forced to take extras before they graduate or simply charging extra for classes. SMSU is not the campus the lead people to believe it is. I am from the area born and raised, and had alot of respect for the campus before I went there.. After spending 3 years at SMSU I am disappointed to say i would not recommend this school for everyone… Its a small campus with large campus mind set "SMSU where you are a number"Tim Johnson

I went here a year ago. It was definitely a high school feeling. It had the regular high school clicks. The gym wasn't even that great and was always being used by student athelte. Food was undercooked and it wasn't open the whole day. Housing was awful. The CA never in forced the quiet hours. The dorms and whole school needed updating. Academics was not that great. Professors kept leaving and class got canceled a lot. Class size was average. Financial aid was a pain. It took two to three months just to get a loan thrpugh. I wouldn't recommend to anybody until they do some updating.Zach D

There is literally not one part of this school that isn't actively trying to make everything horrible. They know they can't possibly be held responsible, so they don't care. Dealing with housing is like jumping through 100 hoops that are invisible and on fire. They don't tell you anything until the very last moment when it's too late. Registering for classes is just as hard. I was on track to graduate early and then they change the requirements which made multiple classes not count towards my degree and added new ones that aren't even available. The security is non-existent. The school is entirely aware of the dozens of bikes being stolen over the course of the past year. Still not a single camera watching any of the bike racks and they will fine you if you keep your bike inside. People try to open your door at any time. Whether it be 3am or 3pm. The dining hall is closed for every single break with no other options or awful ones. People live here, a lot without personal transportation. That's why the dining hall exists. They find every way imaginable to make more money off of their students. They will give you 3 parking tickets within 4 hours even with a parking pass, but they be soooo gracious enough to lower the fines after 3 weeks of pending the appeal. I've heard professors talking about how "stubborn" another professor is and how "they will use a textbook and curriculum until it's completely obsolete". They will give you 12 hours notice before you move dorms after telling you it'd be a month. They have partnerships with McGrawHill and probably every other online workbook which means students are forced to pay almost $200 for each class for a membership that teaches students absolutely nothing.Hayden Watts

Baylor is an amazing school. For a few reviews before me we are not all "rich kids wanting to blow daddy's money" or "rude". I personally have a bad background that would not match the first statement. I am not rich. I am blessed to be in this university thanks to scholarships and my hard working mother. Baylor itself is a blessing. Its a rigorous school BUT very well worth it. I love being part of the Baylor community. Its a beautiful campus filled with loving people. Its not "perfect" because nothing is. There will be a few issues like yes there are some kids who don't care and my be rude or blow things off but really if you are a part of it you will see the majority of the campus and the people here are more than amazing and loving. This is a fantastic university for the liberal arts. I have talked to people from other universities and to those that have come to visit me at college, and all of them see a difference in the student body. There is just a different atmosphere. All the people are kind and welcoming and always willing to help in times of need. The professors are nationally ranked and are not only outstanding in their fields of study, but wonderful people as well. Even if you're not looking to go to college, its a beautiful campus to just walk around in. It's almost like a park in some ways. Just give it a visit and I promise you'll be hooked! I loved my time as I attended Baylor for undergrad, and grad school (2008-2015). The campus has changed so much since i first step foot in 2008 (all for the better). Baylor (and Waco) is in a resurgence/growth period. Its an awesome time for Baylor and Waco. I loved my time there even though I'm not religious (agnostic/theist). Great people (students and especially faculty), and community. There was a reason why I came back to get my masters at Baylor. They helped me get through some rough times, and i am better for it now. This is not an honest university. They lie to students just to get their money and do not help students in any way. They even try shady tactics to steal your money like not allowing you to drop all your course within the drop/add period which is odd because that time frame should give you the authority to do so. They try to keep courses on your schedule so they can charge you for it. The financial aid department is rude and can never keep their information straight. You will always get a different answer with them. They are only nice to the students who get duped into giving them money, but if you ask them about your financial aid they get upset as if you are only supposed to be seen not heard. The staff are very unresponsive they do not pick up the phone, return phone calls and do not answer emails efficiently. An example if you ask them how much will it be for four courses and will it be costly. they will answer an answer like how many course do you plan to take. A lot of their answers either don't answer the question, don't make sense or are answering a question with a question. Plus, the cost per credit is very high for the type of school it is. Better schools have a lower cost per credit like schools on the east coast, south and west coast. The President ignores students and doesn't respond to them. Plus, a lot of the staff is lazy. A task that only takes a day or two to complete with take them three weeks. Upon admission they omit a lot of important information to lure you into their program. DO NOT ATTEND THIS UNIVERSITY! THERE ARE BETTER SCHOOLS OUT THERE FOR LESS. CONCORDIA- UNRESPONSIVE. UNREAL.IRRELEVANT.Amy W

This is by far the worst run school I have ever seen. First, the front offices can’t tell if you’re coming or going. They tell you everything is in order but then come back to you after classes are starting and tell you they forgot to submit your paperwork. They also like to have you sign up for programs they have zero possibility of even having get off the ground. So once your registered they pull a bait and switch on you and drop you into a program until your desired program eventually starts. Hint: the program never starts so you owe them a lot of money and never even get the degree you originally desired. This place definitely treats you more as a dollar sign than a student and couldn’t care less about your goals or future. Only that you pay them on time. There is some serious shady business that takes place in this school. Especially in the business programs. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to find out that they will be under investigation for secretly operating as a “For profit institution”. Hint: they will be soon because they have been reported. Also, don’t expect them to offer you any form of apologies, even when they know they mess up. When three students in a program confront the administrators and program chairs about their desire to learn, and the lack of cooperation from instructors, the entire management team runs and buries their heads in the sand. Honestly, my best advice is to cross this school off your list if you value your future, or have any interest in a real education. I'm sure this would be a good school if I was able to actually login and do my work without a problem on a daily basis. But since I have to call the Help Desk everyday to get my password reset so I can get online and do my work, I can't tell. I have no problems logging into any other websites or accounts, and I have dozens of them. But try as I might to do something simple like put in a username and password and be able to get into the site and do my work seems to be a monumental challenge to this school. I've had two classes so far and my experience doing work here is traumatic. I absolutely dread coming to the computer to login because I know it's going to be an hour on the phone with the help desk and they're going to assume the problem is with my computer, like they always do. Someone needs to fix the schools' computer problem and stop blaming students for having login problems.Dino De Rosa

I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good luck finding a place as tranquil anywhere else near the city. There is however one small con and one big con.. the small con is that there aren't that many places to eat and Sodexo runs all the food on campus, and their attempts at ethnic foods are sad. And the aforementioned big con is that there is no less than 3 buildings being built on this tight peninsula right now, and one huge building that was taken down over the year I've been here.. the construction is a mess. Though the new, finished buildings, like the science complex, are great. But if you can take the T somehow, as I do, this place is fantastic.Mikhail M. Nitko

UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute that students can be a part of. I love the new Integrated science center, incubating many New exciting NIH sponsored science research studies. It is an exciting time for UMASS Boston which has a new chancellor with generous scholarship. Chancellor merit scholarship will allow students to get world class education for free.Khuong Nguyen

I am a student here at UMB, the professors are great. The administration is bureaucratic and inefficient and lacks transparency on any basic level. Parking here is dependent upon arrival time. If you get here at 10:20 good luck finding a space in bayside, probably will have to park at the globe. Clinical placement sites for Nursing are good, labs are good, the school is constantly under construction and areas are always being blocked off. Parking will soon cost between 9-15 dollars a day according to emails from the uni. So it’s alright but the university is slowly draining the life of its commuters.Bill Whitney

I would not recommend this school, I am truly and whole heartedly regretful of choosing this school over all of the other options I had. Something about this school stood out to me, and the counselors here try really hard to get you in. I do not identify with Christian faith and I am not religious at all so I initially felt weird about going to this school, but they mention multiple times that they accept all faiths and backgrounds so I felt better. However, upon talking their forced “Christian Worldview” class, the teacher grades with an iron fist for a 101 class and is just awful. My GPA for sure was going to plummet due to this stupid 101 class that they force on you. Honestly it was so ridiculous that I felt the need to reach out to my advisor. I was trying to come up with a solution because I felt some type of way about this. I suggested them placing me with a different teacher, since this teacher has AWFUL reviews going back years yet they do nothing about it. However they pretty much told me I still had to take the class, I could not switch to another teacher (you cannot pick your own teachers by the way which is huge for me now). Their only solution was that “another teacher would review my work.” This turned me off so bad from the entire school that I ended up withdrawing due to principal which messed up my financial aid. They honestly did not care one bit and obviously know there is a problem but do nothing to address it. I was so turned off that I chose to mess up my financial aid and just pick another school, there was no way that I was finishing out my degree here after this. Go elsewhere !!Taylor

I am an Atheist. I chose this college because it had the focus I was looking for, the delivery method was fully online so I could continue to work, and the price was the best around. I did not feel like being of the Christian faith was a prerequisite. My instructors and professors were not pushy with religion, and for a master's program, I felt like I was able to learn what was necessary for the field I was in. I have a Master's degree and 2 focuses now from GCU and I couldn't be happier with my education and experience. The guidance counselors were great, the financial aid process was easy, and I'm grateful for GCU and all they have done for me.April Wittmeyer

Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. The seats of the arena were a tight squeeze to sit down on if you are 1x or biggerEileen L. Smith

If you are a parent thinking of sending your kid here, or a student thinking about attending….DON’T!! Unless you are a parent that likes getting calls once a week that they just heard gunshots or someone they knew was robbed or had their car broken into. Or if you’re a student that doesn’t want to leave campus without wearing a bulletproof vest. They might as well pick this place up and drop it in the middle of Baghdad. Your kid would probably safer. Oh and good luck hoping the KCPD would ever patrol the area around this place and risk their lives. Lol! They even know to stay away.Dominic Foley

Many of my professors didn’t take me seriously because I didn’t follow their beliefs. In one of their classes I failed because, “since you didn’t grow up in a catholic family you’ll never get it.” I was trying as hard as I could, SI’s, tutors, everything, but as soon as the professor knew I was atheist I felt extremely ostracized, not only from the student body but from the staff as well. Rockhurst has a beautiful campus in Kansas City. It is a smaller college campus and it is located close to the Plaza. Although I haven't personally taken classes, I have been told it is a good experience. They are partnering with St Luke's for the nursing program. The security officers that I've encountered have been super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend checking out this college.Kimber Mata
