20 Best Medical Assistant Programs In Los Angeles, CA (2022 Updated)

I love and loved South Coast College. The best thing about it was its staff. From its court reporting instructors to its paralegal program, everything is taught and intended to provide the student with the best opportunity to leave its halls with knowledge superlative to that of students from anywhere else. What are your chances of obtaining a position in the legal office as a court reporter, paralegal or legal assistant? That is probably what I should have asked myself prior to obtaining a "less-than-godly" student loan! I graduated mentally prepared – but financially not quite ready to work at the rate at which most legal firms hire those fresh out of school! Although I work in a field completely unrelated to that in which I was trained (I graduated from the paralegal program and am one of two people now running a surgical company.) At this time, the courts in Los Angeles and Orange County are hiring court reporters, while deposition agencies like Hahn and Bowersock, Regal Court Reporting, Barkley have all been hiring — keeping graduates busily engaged. I've been involved in the occupation for nearly 25 years. Yes, it has been challenged by electronic recording, but that comes and goes. Its what people make of their own choices in life. Today I am seeing this as a great opportunity for anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit who is willing to jump in and take advantage of the varied paths the skill of court reporting can provide including court and deposition reporting, as well as CART (steno-interpreting for the hearing-impaired) and captioning live television. My Business Administration Management class was amazing, I learned so much and I am carrying it with everywhere I go. Some people do not like it and so do. Great school for a community college. I heard it’s the best around. Many students come from San Diego or from the North just to go here. They do a lot of things by hand (compared to other schools that do things electronically). The grounds are well kept. The parking is horrible during the beginning of the semester. More parking will be available as time comes. When you register for a class, you need to pay the same day or you get dropped. If you’ve dropped a lot of classes, the school might give you a hold because the classes are impacted. There is a daycare center. Parking permits and books are relatively cheaper than most.Aurora A

Good School. The campus is breath taking. Views of the ocean in the dining hall and surrounding areas. Tons of plants and trees all around, a great variety. Staff are helpful. Parking is a struggle, unless you don't mind parking in dirt lots but then it's not worth buying a parking permit. As for professors and academia, they could improve. Check professors ratings onlines some teach to only one or two learning styles. The classes are pretty easy. Maybe to easy.Michael

I was a student back in 2018. Came back for the spring 2022 semester, and the "president" Ms.Katrina VanderWoude, has ran this place directly into the bottom of the barrel. I remember when President Larry Frank was here. Good times. He was amazing. I never seen the problems I see now when he was here. Anyone else would have handled the pandemic better than VanderWoude. This used to be my favorite school, I was always saying to family and friends how much I loved trade tech. Well that time has passed. The outside of campus is filthy, the sheriffs are rude, they don't open the gates in the morning as they should, website is hardly updated, bookstore is garbage, no help for students in terms of supportive services etc. Its no wonder enrollment is low. LACCD can blame Ms.VanderWoude for that. The only upside is the professors. And yes I am fully aware Ms.VanderWoude is "Dr" but since lacks respect for students and staff then I will lack respect for her. Trade tech is my home school but I will be switching it to ELAC. That campus has surpassed trade tech in every possible way and I love going there for classes. I hope VanderWoude gets replaced soon for the sake of the campus.Karina Gomez

I am currently in the third semester taking the carpentry program. Los Angeles Trade Technical College is a great school. October will be 3 years that I have been attending this college. I also got my GED through Trade Tech.The majority of the professors and staff are very respectful and kind. Update I finished the carpentry program and found a job in the construction field with great pay. I would definitely recommend Los Angeles Trade Tech Technical College to someone that wants to learn a trade or just take some classes. I transferred here because it offered a program I wanted to take. The first time, the class was canceled due to there being not enough sign ups. Fine. That was Spring and now we’re in the Fall semester. Once again, the class was canceled. It was canceled 1 week before the 2nd session was to start. I now only have 2 classes (a 3rd one was dropped because it overlapped the class that was eventually canceled). My teacher is cool so, no complaints. My online class…. it takes my teacher 2-3 weeks just to grade your work. I’ve done online classes at other schools and was graded within the week. I’m going back to my previous school. Just going to have to change my concentration.Jarmaine M

I chose this college because it was ranked as one of the top ten community colleges in California for online courses. Diversity is great, many certificates and degrees offered, and the counselors I’ve spoke with over the phone were polite and helpful. They wait until more than a month into the semester to process student loans – and the form should specify that it’s for the year. I filled it out thinking it was only for the semester. No return emails from financial aid in the matter. Overall I would recommend WLAC, but their admissions and financial aid offices need to work on responding to students.Jason G

The school was okay. The admission office is terrible. I enjoyed the professors they have great ones. Working here was bad there’s nepotism and favoritism allowed. The staff isn’t the nicest I think student should be respected a bit more and heard. As an employee here I know I tried to help as many students sincerely. The process needs to be more efficient. Graduated here in 2018. Yes the school is not perfect. but it is affordable and offers all sorts of academic programs for students & for those who are interested in learning a new skill. A few issues with the homeless people who easily make their way in the school's restroom and leave all their mess inside. A bit more security is also needed because of the area surrounding the school, but overall it's a good community college. Looking back now, I miss every moment I got to spend here. Beauty and peace would describe this campus. A very serene environment on the hill overlooking a big part of Los Angeles. Large acres of grass with everything looking like in order and clealiness. Towards sunset you get some incredible pictures of the beachfront. People also seeme very calm and helpful. Starbucks and other food and drink places all around the campus. The general unprofessionalism from the administration and the staff left me nothing but frustration and a refund. I was enrolled in a Veterinary Assistant program just to have my instructor “disappear” after the first day with no follow up or any information on her well being. The most information I received was hearing the course was cancelled after asking the faculty NUMEROUS times over the course of three weeks. The school itself is very deceptive and nitpicks their students for arriving a few minutes late from a lunch or if you need to take a day off. Expect to be treated like a child and watched from their cameras. The school has no problem lying to students; our class went through hell trying to get the labs, site visits, the MRI simulator program they installed 2 weeks before our class was over they promised and we paid for. The recruiters will tell you about their "associate degree" but you try to hide that it’s an associate of applied science (AAS) degree which is a degree that takes 2 years but credits and not transferable and don’t count towards a bachelor’s degree. The administration staff is not on your side. Previous classes communicated to us how the school constantly drops the ball and they’ve been waiting 3 weeks for the school to pay the fee so they could take their ARMRIT tests and get their certification. Students who fall behind on their payments have been harassed despite paying what they could and being fully aware they can’t graduate without paying the balance. A teacher we had for a few months did not have a teaching skill set and was often rude and inappropriate to students that asked questions. The school had issues with this teacher in the past and had to re-teach all of physics to the previous MRI class as a result but the school brought him back not only for our class but again for the class that followed ours. We were amazed that after all we went through and the negative history they still brought him back. The school attempts to be fast paced and rush the studying but doesn’t supply good teachers, good books or good resources. The anatomy book for example is intended for massage therapists and physical therapists. At the time of our class there was only a single skeleton missing many pieces. There is no physical MRI simulator here, only a hospital bed and a construction laser line hanging from the roof (See Photo). You’re supposed to lay under it and have someone set up a scan by moving the bed. Our class was promised monthly site visits by the recruiters but only had two site visits. You'd think for the $2700 a month each student pays they could invest a little into the class room and curriculum. I have literally spent my personal time making presentations and tests for the class because that particular teacher was not computer literate. You start off in medical terminology with Caesar who is a great teacher and everything will seem well. After 2 or 3 months depending on if he teaches medicolegal they move you to a different teacher and the trouble will start. Eventually our class did get a good teacher but she quit on the last day of class tired of dealing with the schools BS. Complaints result in the teacher getting in the line of fire because they weren't able to handle it themselves or the school attempting to sweep it under the rug. One class for example had a known drug user who has passed out in class high but they allowed him to return, later in the week he was found overdosed in his car. This place is just one bad decision and one shortcut after another. I was personally shown the door because I had come to the school director with class-wide issues. The owner of the school David personally came to our class and basically told us it is what is and if you dont like it you can go. Which is easy for them to say because the MRI credits don't transfer to other schools so all your money, work and time goes to waste if you leave. If you try and file a formal complaint the owner David and his staff will hold a meeting which you are not permitted to record but Silvia the director will take notes on and leave out any pertinent information that makes the school look bad. If you have a class wide complaint, follow my advice and GO AS A CLASS. They are your judge and jury so you have no recourse besides sending a letter to the ACCSC or filing a class action lawsuit but at least they can’t argue with numbers.Jeremy Boggs

PLEASE READ! DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give this school a rating lower than One star I would. I am a current student here for phlebotomy and the communication with the staff has been absolutely horrible. The coordinator that is suppose to find you site, Brittany Wilson, does not do her due diligence to get the clinics that you are to be attending prepared for your arrival and you are walking into (in most cases) a facility that is not COVID regulated, practicing unethical methods of venipuncture, and requiring you to do administrative work more than the actual internship you are there for. My classmates and I have complained to the management staff as well as Brittany herself and have gotten no where. The school has externship sites that they are not renewing the contract with and do not have insurance covering us going to these sites due to an expired contract. The first site I was placed at was Spanish speaking only, the second was practicing starting IVs and drawing blood with no gloves on, and the third that I was placed I was told that this site was fully aware of me starting on 3/15 with their clinic and notified staff (Leslie Kong, Brittany Wilson, Sylvia Espin) that I have taken off those days per that information. I EVEN HAD THE CONVERSATION OVER THE PHONE!!! CONFIMRING. Yesterday I receive an email stating that the site decided not to take me and my classmate. After speaking with Brittany Wilson no less than two days ago. This is ridiculous. This school just wants to take your money, not give you the proper supplies for education, and is not a reputable business. Nor as an academic facility do they have a library. Im a graduate from NP College I completed the Medical Assistant course. The school was great and the staff memebers are very helpful and nice. My recruiter was Maria Razo she was great and very helpful throughout the whole course i was there. Any questions or concerns i had her or Jeovanni help me.the hours are felxable and The material for each course was well explained and instructed. After the terminology and anatomy comes the hands on which i felt i learned so much from and made it more comfortable when i went out in the field. My teacher explained and showed us each technique well and gave us confidence when we felt like we couldnt do things and when it came for our final my teacher help me prep for the test and passed the first time. Graduation was great also. Over all the school was great and when graduating the school helped me get a job at HealthCare Partners right away and ive been with them for 6years now thanks to them helping me get here. So yes i would recommend this school not just for there Medical Assistant course but there other courses as well so take the time and if your looking for a career go check them out finacial services will also help you to see your payment options.KaT G.

Deep disappointment and anger with the service at the emergency room department. We checked in about 15 minutes before 4pm, and were told that only one parent can accompany our daughter for the visit. About ten minutes later I saw a white husband and wife leaving the emergency room with their child, both of whom had a visitors badge/sticker affixed to their shirts. I brought this up to the security guard and check in counter and was told again that only parent can accompany the child. I felt I had been singled out and prejudged, and others were getting preferential treatment. About one hour after checking in, a nurse came and took our infant daughter's temperature and found it to be 104 F. This constitutes an emergency situation, in fact the nurse indicated that seizures can happen when temperature reaches 104 F, but a doctor did not tend to her for another 3 hours. What is the purpose of an emergency room if not to tend to health emergencies? A 104 fever for an infant is an emergency. We are lucky that her condition did not become worse. All told we were at Childrens hospital for 5 hours, leaving around 9pm, and all staff members we dealt with, including security, check in staff, and nurses, were generally cold, racist, rude, flippant, and curt. When I told security that I wanted to file a complaint, he said I could talk to a supervisor, but then changed his mind and told me to go upstairs to front desk to complete a form. Of course, that’s a classic decoy to deflect the responsibility. No one reads any forms. I am not exaggerating when I say I have received better health care in poor developing countries than my experience at Children’s hospital. We were treated like third-class peasants. Avoid this place like the plague.Shant Minas

Mom came with a 5-year-old baby, a head injury. Another baby is in her arms, breastfeeding. Now they are waiting for a doctor's appointment for more than 5 hours!!!! They are there now, waiting and waiting for help from doctors. Mom is afraid to leave, as a 5-year-old girl hit her head hard. Mom is afraid for her daughter, wants to see a doctor. But it can't! The hospital does not provide medical care. Now 11:55 pm, arrived at 06:00 pm. Give us other hospitals! Kind hospitals where children are loved. You can't humiliate people like that. Where there are queues, I don't want such hospitals. The queue is only one reason people don't want to work well. Give the law, forbid waiting! This attitude towards people should not be in the US. Does anyone know where I can file a complaint? I feel like it shouldn't be. People are not getting medical care. People just sit and wait, for hours. If this hospital were closed, we would go to another one. A hospital is not a waiting room, it is not a train station. Open hospitals to provide medical care. Starting last Monday, I had been vomiting and having excruciating stomach pain. After a week with of going to several E.Rs and urgent care, I finally went to my primary pediatrician. The doctor told me this could not wait and that I had to go to the emergency room immediately. She said that we should go to Children's hospital,. She wrote a note for us and everything.We got there at 6 PM. After 6 hours we were attended by the nurse. She was extremely rude, she called me “boo” as if I was her friend. WE’RE NOT FRIENDS. I felt so disrespected. We showed her the note that the doctor gave me and she said she didn’t need it. all she gave my were 2 tylenols. My pain was at a ten. I screamed and cried I couldn’t take it any more. The nurse said that the wait would be long and said sorry. Sorry would never make up for the way I was treated. We left at 6 AM Saturday Morning. I went to my local hospital and they told me I had to have surgery. This was the cruelest experience of my life. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Especially the emergency room.Sheila Yousefi

PROS: -Nearly all of courses are open enrollment, which makes it very easy to enroll. -There is a range of classes and many of them are offered both online and on campus. -The staff are very friendly and helpful. -The refunds department is very helpful. -Enrollment is easy to work with. -Certificate programs can be more applicable to real world than some undergrad degrees Neutral: -There is a clear distinction between UCLA and UCLA Extension. Cons: -No student ID cards are issued to extension students -Generally excluded from using library, recreational activities, some other resources that require a student ID. -You do not get a student email account -The extension parking permits are only usable after 4:30pm, so if you perhaps find yourself at the school to meet with your professor or student services earlier in the day, you will need to find another parking option. -The Data Science Intensive program is not worth the money. You will likely need to Google all your coursework and homework.Andrew Sein

I am extremely disheartened with the deterioration in student support services. Instead of passing the buck, pretending a request hasn't been received, asking for more steps to be taken, more hoops to be jumped, and employing diversion tactics, how about we all do our jobs and take accountability for our actions or lack thereof. Another problem is the staff doesn't stick. Students don't know whom to contact for any issues. One doesn't always want to bother the academic advisor or DSO. I do appreciate new initiatives. International students were thrown out of the country on July 6, 2020. We are dealing with the trauma of a disrupted life and demolished dreams. The new circumstances are not yet favorable for international students. I applaud the efforts of the school (UCLA Extension with UCLA) to help us cope in this regard even if some instructors don't get it.Rati Tripathi

UCLA Extension has shown themselves to be incredibly disappointing in how they support their students (they don't). With the recent administration ruling, which threatened international students' stay in the states, this institution has given students zero productive updates and guidelines. Nothing on their website. Nothing on their social media. They did not reach out to their students to show any solidarity in this very difficult and scary time. Avoid this place if you can especially if you're a student planning to study abroad. Just by their lack of response /especially/ during a time as difficult as this, they will not support you if anything else comes up. If you're looking for a school that cares about you and your education, and not just your money, THIS ISN'T IT. Find a school that cares.Nina N

If you want to study Information Technology do yourself a favor and go to College of the Desert. Mayfield is a for profit cram them and jam them. The I.T. program is garbage and way outdated. You memorize one chapter a week and take a test Fridays. The “hands on learning” is non-existent. The “computer lab” is a complete joke and really just acts as an adult daycare because they do not give you any format to learn by. The lab “instructor” is a former student of Mayfeild and knows little more than you do. They teach absolutely nothing in the computer lab and most students sit there on social media to clock their hours. Mike Borja picks his favorite students and everyone else is treated as an annoyance to him. They sent me on a so called externship and demanded I log so many hours to graduate. The externship had absolutely nothing to do with learning computers, I did data entry for the HR department at the Desert AIDS Project. After one week I walked out because it was so obvious they were just using me for free labor. Go to College of the Desert. Mayfield is a scam. I must thank the Biden administration for saving me from paying for the mistake called Mayfield College.Kari Colvin

I used to attend Mayfield college in 2019 & was in their HVAC program. I was unfortunately never able to finish because I was t-boned on my way to school. The accident completely turned my life upside down. When I got in the accident they gave me time off of school until I was able to get my Drs approval for my return for the hands on. I forgot how much time they gave me but after many chiropractor, Dr, & physical therapy appointments I was FINALLY able to get her to say I was able to return but by then I had lost my apartment, my job, my car etc. & I had no way to go back & they basically said it was a "personal problem" & not their concern. My instructors Steve & Bill were absolutely incredible, informative & non biased which I absolutely appreciate. I have really great memories of my instructors & I only had 2 more classes so the loss is devastating. It's a wonderful program & I'd definitely take it but if life happens then just know it'll probably be a loss of money. It's very unfortunate. Also the woman that hit me was illegal & had no insurance so although the accident was declared not my fault I lost everything & my program was wasted.Lauren Gilder

Mayfield College, in my opinion, is the best college around. I started off taking classes to obtain my high school diploma. Sam, the teacher for that program was such a big help. I obtained my high school diploma within a month. I took the Medical Assistant course, starting off with Recquel Ruiz, finishing with Monica C. Each teacher has their own teaching techniques for the medical assistant program and they all have one goal in mind which is to see their students succeed and graduate. I must say, the staff, the program, and the atmosphere is phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for a better school to attend. The teachers actually take their time to help the students and care about the students succeeding. The school provides tutoring if needed as well. I have never seen such an amazing staff work so well together than the staff at Mayfield College. I am honored to be a 2018 graduate from there. I highly recommend this school program.Cara C

I have to represent my school! I dont know about the other programs but I finishes the LVN program graduated in Jan. 2015 the nursing department is amazing!! The school really goes above and beyond to train us and give us as much experience as they can. Shout out to Dr. Haney the nursing director!! Love this guy! He is a nurse and guess what also a Physician. We his students couldent be in better hands. Like every school they are not perfect but knowing you have a dedicated and devoted director that is willing to play theory instructor, clinical instructor, and spend his nights and weekends helping you and your education incase his staff fails, thats priceless! He is a role model to all students and staff and proves it if needed. I have the luxury to say a Dr. Was my theory instructor in nursing school and my classmates and I slammed dunked the NCLEX yeeea!! About job hunting I recommend alredy being in the field before you go spend $29k on a program obviously. I was alredy a CNA for 2yrs. And it was easier for me to get a job. Which I got right away by the way! $22/hr start off pay couldent get better for me and my family. I am so thankful to this school. Mr.Lee you are deeply appriciated and loved as well!Carla Espinosa

Staff was very nice. However, the ultrasound program is not accredited. When asked about if and how many students were employed here or near LA after graduation, they only kept saying examples of very few students that got employed in other states and small cities, pretty much anywhere that would overlook the program not being accredited because they needed employees. And even then it took them months to find the job. You can't sit for the ARDMS exam after graduation until after you have a year of full time paid work experience (which will be nearly impossible to find a job with out having done the exam or going to a caheep school.) Do your research please before picking a college for the AAS DMS program. This one wasn't the one for me. I decided to go to an accredited school which was only $1,000 more than WCUI. Worth the money because the school is very nice, modern, and its less of a hassle to sit for the ARDMS exam (which ima able to do quickly with out the paid work experience because of going to an accredited school.)Jennifer Martinez

West Coast Ultrasound Institute has been amazing to me, and every part of my experience they have been positive and given me high confidence that I made the right choice when I picked this school to get my training. The equipment is always available and the staff are super helpful, going above and beyond to help me when I need extra learning, and giving me encouragement when I’m on the right track. Fariba is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had in my life, she knows her stuff! As a lab instructor she is professional, Polite and she has great teaching skills, she cares about her students. When I need help she’s there, in class or out of class. Her instructions are very clear, with her lectures and techniques given to me and the other students to become more efficient sonographers. I know with these facilities and the staff here at WCUI, I’m going to be well prepared for a career in the field. I also just recently passed my SPI board exam. Study! You have to take it serious. Show up, participate, study, study again. I graduated in 2019 Dec. There are some things that I wasn't clinically prepared for once I was on my own. So be assertive when doing clinicals and learn. If you drive be prepared to pay for parking everyday at campus! We had validations but it still cost about 5 dollars. The teachers I had were very knowledgeable and they change throughout the year. Also the teachers gave me references and even job recs.. When I say knowledgeable I mean in the field and nursing stuff not on teaching lmao!! I didnt give five 5 stars because they need a guidance counselor, I dont like one of the receptionist, one of my teachers was very brash, I'm missing some clinical experience, parking, and 3 people I know forsure didn't graduate or get licensed because they couldn't pass ATI. Good college and very helpful education to succeed and pursue your career. Graduated as an MA from Angeles college, CPR certified, and working on getting my phlebotomy license. Currently going to start the LVN program, couldn’t be more excited & nervous but Angeles college really helped me learn more about the medical field. Came in school without knowing anything to learning a lot, thanks to the best instructor Ms. Lopez! A very kind, patient and awesome person. Thanks to her I’ve learned so much and I can’t wait to learn much more in the LVN program. Great staff! Coming to Angeles college was an amazing experience. The staffs are really nice and Ms Lopez is an amazing teacher, everyone there are really helpful and they are willing to work with you on making it an amazing experience. I remember if I ever had any doubts or I needed help they're always willing to lend a hand. MS Lopez was an amazing teacher, she was my MA/phlebotomy teacher every time I had trouble or I didn't understand anything, she would always work with me and help me understand the material. Everyone who works in the front office are really amazing staffs. They help you set up your resumes, they explain how financial aid works, they help you work out payments, they also help with job search. It really is an amazing school.Kathy Ibarra

I do not recommend the school to anyone. I did not take the certified medical assistant exam right away and when I call them to ask them about it they said it was too late and I would not be able to take the exam. This is in fact not true. I found out I have 60 months from the time of graduation to take the exam. I misplaced my diploma and in order to get it they required me to come in in person and pay in cash and then return to pick it up. I need this diploma in order to sit for the exam and I work Monday through Friday 8 to 5. They are completely unwilling to work with me or help me. This is unlike many of the other schools available. I was very young and had no guidance at the time and will never recommend the school ever to anybody.coco cook

What makes this school great is the Job Placement Assistant Advisor Christopher Aono, he's a very Optimistic Guy full of energy always ready to help the Students. Although I only met Mr. Aono for only a month he has been very helpful for placing me in a clinic to do my Externship. From all the other staff he really reaches out from the rest by keeping in contact asking me how am doing at the clinic. Also he has a good Vibe that brings to the school and for him to be the First person to say congratulations to me for graduating and to say that he's proud of me for completing my hours and getting hired is overall great. The class and professor Dr. Rivera was great ! But lack of communication with students is what this school needs to fix on. It can be messy at times how they work. They give out checks and my last one was never given because it was given to the wrong student. I tried calling the school and they would transfer me to different line and it seems like no one picks up the phone at all. They just have you jumping around and it’s like no one can help you out after all and you gotta find your solution to your problem yourself.jenipher reyes

I am so glad I chose to begin my education in health care by participating in the CNA course at International Health Group. I just completed the CNA course with Ms. Carla during this quarantine. Let me tell you, I had the most impeccable experience! Ms. Carla is the most kind, generous, honest, and caring instructor I’ve ever had — even surpassing my college professors. She always came to class with a bright spirit, and a warm smile (although we all wore masks, it was easy to recognize in her demeanor 🙂 ). She made the classroom a safe environment to talk about our studying & practicing concerns, practical life experience, and even how to handle our personal lives in general. I am so great full that I got stuck with such a fire-cracker of a teacher, and I will always remember her and my experiences with her as my embarkation to my nursing career. I had a great experience at this training center yesterday! This facility is friendly, has great equipment, small class sizes, and we were fortunate to have a very knowledgeable instructor, Doctor Sergio. We had 5 people in our class, and we were encouraged to practice our skills as many times as we needed. There was plenty of equipment, and the equipment was new and up-to-date. The prices are better than other centers, but they do not skimp on quality. They even had coffee, breakfast rolls and snacks for us! Wonderful school and very qualified instructors. I initially chose this school because it is close to my house, but I am very glad I signed up for their CNA program. Both the classroom and clinical instructors went above and beyond to make sure we were well prepared for the state exam, as well as the office staff, who made sure we had all the paperwork in order to receive our CNA license. I took an ACLS class at the North Hollywood location and loved it! The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. Not only did I come out of the class learning a lot but I also had a lot of fun. The instructor, Sergio, was extremely educated and was extra patient with each and every one of us throughout the entire class. I enjoyed my training at Los Angeles Career College. I started school in November of 2021 and I am now a CNA. I passed my California state exam. The CNA course was about 6 weeks long and our state exam was done at the college. I find the school professional and extremely accommodating for the students. My class was a small group of about 7 people, but we bonded and we all passed our CNA nursing skills plus the written state exam. We had a great instructor Zianya, who is extremely knowledgeable and sincerely wanted her class to succeed. I would highly recommend the school to anyone who is thinking of making a serious career change in their life. Manana is the CNA coordinator and when I first spoke to her she was sincere and answered all my questions which put my mind at ease. Manana will take good care of you. She is dependable and reliable. I am happy to have attended this school, because not only did I meet great colleagues but also met a family for life at Los Angeles Career College. I am so happy to choose Los Angeles Career College for the CNA program. The instructors had all of our best interests at heart and really pushed for all of the students' success. The theory portion of the course was online but very thorough with the material we had to learn. For clinical we had a very knowledgeable instructor and she was absolutely amazing. She helped us learn each procedure but made it fun at the same time. She was very understanding and kind. My classmates were all super close and we were all supportive of each other. In the office Ms. Manana is full of energy and always smiling. She is a great connection to have, informative, and extremely supportive. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! The office staff was always very helpful and prompt at everything. The instructor Heidi did a phenomenal job. Very knowledgeable, understanding, funny and always had a great attitude. I fainted when I got stuck ,but the instructor was right beside me during it and made sure I felt safe. She not only made sure I never felt embarrassed or alienated from the class, she also made sure to still give us all a great experience. I can not express how comfortable I felt in this class and was able to learn how to draw blood in a short period of time. THANK YOU PROFESSOR! My recommendation? TAKE THE COURSE!
