Only reason I'm going back for a senior year is because I've already spent too much $$ in my previous 3 years. Meal plan is a scam, food itself is laughable and the service provider and school refuse to do anything. I have had many issues with administration including opened packages and repeated accidental charges. Dorms are all run down and are extremely expensive. Most gen Ed classes feel useless and like high School classes. Automotive program classes are interesting but there is a ton of filler and a few bad Profs, I wish it was a 2 year program without gen Eds. Useless seminar classes are required every year. It really feels like this college loves to waste student's money on useless programming and events. At least they aren't good at keeping drugs and alcohol off-campus so we can drown our sorrows!DB Cooper

Awesome campus!! Beautifully laid out among the rolling Kansas hills.. small enough to have that home town feeling yet big enough to get a great education.. people locally are courteous, kind and polite.. justice center is here so it's a little safer I feel, low crime, a lot of local businesses to care for what ever you may want or think you need.. bowling alley, movie theater, hospital with a ER, many fast food places and hotels for family, loved ones to visit.. 35mph throughout the entire town..Jenn “JENN” Smith

The science curriculum that I am in is very challenging and will teach and prepare me for a new career that I don't feel I would have gotten anywhere else. 'Business is Personal' is tagline of the school and everyone makes it sure to follow it completely. MBA itself is difficult and time consuming but from students, professors to career coaches and admission staff put in lot of efforts to help us as much as possible. Concentration wise – SCM and marketing are really good. I cannot speak for other as I am not aware of the details. Financial aids – School offers tremendous support in this if you are eligible and great candidate. Future Forward – The latest curriculum is very new to be reviewed but core strengths are similar so should be great value addition in near future. Placements- Graduate Career Center helps a lot with recruiting events and career coaching. International students have limited opportunities and have to try harder (but it is not specific to school). Additionally, the Student Engagement team pours their heart into ensuring students are getting involved, have access to leadership positions, and feel connected to the school. The Career Management and Employer Engagement team also provides students with a plethora of internship/job opportunities, resume/cover letter support, and interview prep. This business school has a great reputation, and although I knew that coming in as a student, I got way more than what I was expecting from it over my 4 years here. The professors, faculty, and even the alumni will never say no if you need help and they will do the best they can to help you get where you want to be school/career-wise. I personally do not agree with this. Emory is a racist school. Career management center and Wendy Tsung do inform employer who to interview and who to hire. This is mainly based on race, religion and gender within school. Several times it is already decided by the campus recruiters and employers even before they come to campus and perform actual interview. Moreover, company presentation and recruiting event is open for the certain group of people. This is clear discrimination within school. Emory is charging too much money for the MBA. Emory University's GBS is an elite b-school with some of the best, most knowledgeable professors in the country specializing in the various fields of business. The program support and leadership staff are nothing short of supportive and helpful to the class. I had an amazing experience at Booth. The program and culture live up to the mantras of "Challenge everything" and "Independent thought" in my experience. Personally, I was drawn to the fact that there is no one path at Booth — you're not forced into a cohort, you're not told which classes you have to take, you're not assigned to study teams and instead, you have the freedom to chart your own course (within some guidelines of course!) and you gain much wider exposure (e.g., taking classes with 2nd years). Looking back, the LEAD course was extremely helpful and I apply those lessons about leadership and self-awareness everyday now. The student culture is very strong (and different than what many perceive) — it's a bit different from other schools where there's a concentrated campus that everyone lives near and again, things aren't dictated for you. I was incredibly impressed by my classmates — not just their intelligence and career drive but also their passion for traveling and experiencing the city of Chicago. I did not find it to be competitive at all – I think because of the grade non-disclosure but also in recruiting, I had so much help from my classmates. A bit about my experience: I was a career changer. I worked in HR before and worked in consulting afterwards (boutique/startup firm in Chicago). My course specializations were Strategy, Economics, and Marketing. I was very involved with the Admissions team while there, serving on the student adcom, leading tours, planning admit weekend, etc. I also loved the Business Solutions Group where I worked on a pro-bono consulting project for a non-profit education company. In addition to Penn State, consider NYU , Colgate, Michigan, Cornell and Richmond for finance; Villanova, Lehigh, Virginia, Wake Forest and Richmond for accounting. An actuary calculates insurance and annuity premiums. In the insurance industry, actuaries are highly paid. It is a boring profession to most and is essentially a statistics major. Experience during the program The school has everything you may expect from a business school – infrastructure, curriculum, professors, courses except a strong career management center. The courses taught are standardized and professors are well aware of their subject matters. We read what all other business schools are reading such as books, Harvard Business School case studies, company visits, guest speakers etc. The facilities are great and the buildings are brand new. I can't complain at all about the capabilities of the school or students. The professors do a great job teaching and so do the administration of business school in accommodating the required changes or any other accommodations required by students. About professors, classes and curriculum The Career Management Center could do better. They make the required amount of efforts trying to get people jobs and internships. They do their routine jobs with no extra effort to try to go an extra mile. About job placement process The students are way above average than many business schools. The students are smart and experienced. So apparently i never felt that my class was any less talented than many top 25 school candidates i met during the course of my MBA.Jefri Tamba

The number one reason you are considering going to business school is to improve your career situation, get a better job, move industries maybe even move to another country. If so, Kenan Flagler is not the school for you. Career services have issues with retaining talent, which means that the people who are supposed to help the most are inexperienced. The same is true for the administration, for example, the director of the MBA program is new, the head of career services just quit after a year in her role, her predecessor had similar time in the program. Career professionals for consulting and investment banking are also new. About financial aid- GMAT score might get you financial aid from the school, which for many helps the decisions for ROI reasons, but i offer you not to be tempted by the money. From the top of my head, I'm thinking of at least 3 classmates with full rides and no offers meaning the very qualified people are not doing well because of the current situation at the school. Managment: The management is currently putting its effort into it online MBA program and not in the MBA, from a financial point of view it makes sense, the program has an infinite capacity for students with no GMAT requirements which leads to incredible income from that venue but it also means less attention and investment in full-time MBA students. What I like about KFBS: North Carolina and the Triangle generally is a pretty chill location, cost of living is pretty low and the weather is nice. There is a misleading information on the page about students being accepted from different educational and cultural background. The person who is in charge of the program is making a decision based on her personal preferences and likeness of the candidate. Also, age is another factor for non-admission. Dissapointing at times. For example, KU Law sends out 5+ virtue signaling emails to students about DACA from September 6-12. Zero emails about the most devastating terrorist attack in US history. 3 stars because I’m trying to be fair, I’d say that JSOM as a whole does want to help you on your journey and specific staff members will go above and beyond for you. However, that ends at specific staff members. I’ve been attending ut dallas for four years and have had countless bad experiences with Undergraduate and advisors and the people at the desk. I’ve been misinformed, sent in the wrong direction, disrespected, and hung up on on as many occasions as I had good experiences. There’s not a clear direction to contacting supervisors or expecting any accountability either. I really hope that jsom steps it up, an advisor can really make or break a college experience especially when we’re talking about a freshmen for example.Sachin John

I have been in this student center many times and it has many positive elements as well as some areas for improvement. On the positive side, it is generally clean and comfortable. It has a variety of dining venues, and the one that is a hidden gem is in the basement by the bowling alley. The building probably has many additions and so it is a bit of a challenge sometimes to navigate through it and between floors. Fortunately, I am not disabled. It's important to note that the building is open to the public and there is no charge for admission; so, wishing for improvements without having to pay for them directly is myopic at best.Rob Catlett

Call me biased or whatever. Once a shocker always a shocker. The Rhatigan center of the past has been completely renovated and meets all modern college campus food/recreation checklist. Love the way our merchant store shows off the goodies and hoodies. More diverse and muti cuisine food places for students to try out. Always a good place to buy food, coffee, eat, study, hangout, get some general info about WSU, buy books or anything else from the book store, have your union/club meetings, borrow equipment for events, get printouts, hold events, play games at the shocker sports grill, or just sit somewhere and rea a book, listen to your music, watch a movie or to even take . This company came into my place of business pitched this without even booking an appointment with me and bombarded me with all their “fancy” told me my bill would only be the materials used!! LIES!! They charged me weekly OUTRAGEOUS prices. I asked for our bills to be modified as they were just dropping off extra supplies and now we have a back stock of materials that we don’t need right now! They said they would credit the bills back and make the modifications—LIES!! They came out 4 days later and charged us $80 for things we DID NOT NEED!! At this point I was done, after the lies!! I requested per email to the service managers John Dao & Luke Harber {which Luke never replied to an email} to have all my equipment removed on August 19th. & again weekly for 3 weeks— still to date December 20th I still have the equipment and they are now trying to attempt to restart services! On November 2nd Mike Degraffenreid the sales guy came into my business again without an appointment to try to salvage a working business relationship!! After 8 weeks of no communication or SERVICES! So today Dec. 20th a Cintas service rep showed up today saying he was told we had services!! This company does not care about small businesses and are targeting them! I have called several times and they just run me around, there was several emails sent on Friday 12/17 and again with no communication back after I exploded their flaws within the company!! I worked there for a year . As a whole the company itself is a great company to work for, I met several amazing people but for the location I worked for in particular unfortunately it was not . You are overworked, unappreciated and the environment you are in is hostile. The worst part about it, was that they were full aware of the issues and decided to ignore them . They asked why I had not given them a full two weeks notice but why should I tend to their needs when I had continuously expressed my concerns about the issues that were going on in the office and nothing was done about it. We worked understaffed and still got the job done. They expressed how much potential I have and I have such a bright future ahead of me but still they could not "promise '' me a raise , that is what i was told in my exit interview . We went through a general manager and a new one took its place and they promised things would change but on the contrary things stayed the same , or I dare to say worse . It sadden me to leave the company because I loved my job as an account receivable rep. but I needed to think of what was best for my family and I . For the year that I was there I saw how the turn over rate was pretty high, and I hope that the company learns from this and begins to appreciate their employees .
