Please do not attend this school for it's transition to teaching graduate program. The professors did not prepare for their classes and provided low quality education to the point that I could not justify continuing with this program after paying in over $4,000. When attempting to get them to appeal the final $800 for the semester I left the program they simply refused to give any leeway or acknowledge and error on their part and sent me collections with an additional $350 fee. With no recourse beyond their own appeals process that unsurprisingly found no problem on their end, all I can do is complain on their review boards. On the plus side, the do have a beautiful campus and I can not in anyway speak to the quality of their undergraduate program.Daniel Gore

While well established as a great Franciscan university, Marian remains up-and-coming in terms of their MAT program for teachers. I had a wonderful experience in terms of the contacts made and networks formed while attending. However, much remains to be done to increase the rigor and requirements for that particular degree. Still, Marian University will soon open the second medical school in the State of Indiana. They are also adding a seemingly much finer tuned doctoral education leadership program.Tim Lankford

Here visiting for a campus tour with my daughter. So far what we have seen is amazing. Marian University is a great place. The buildings are contemporary except for a few historical sites that were preserved. Other than that, it appears to be a great place. The people were friendly as we visited as well. I started my online program two years ago at Alex Tech in Paralegal and Legal Administration. I was leery at first of the quality of education an online degree could provide. Alex Tech sets up their legal program so that you graduate with two associate's degrees, Paralegal and Legal Administration, in the two year time frame. The professors for both the legal program and the elective classes are quick to reply to questions. The online program provides flexibility that allowed me to work full time while going to school. I don't think it matters what your situation is, I would highly recommend the program to anyone.Rachel Barr

The teachers we toured with truely had our daughters education in mind and when they spoke with her they were truely interested about her career focus and really took the time to point out the great programs that would help her achieve her goals. A great school, the teachers teach with care, the administrators administrate with care. The walls are decorated with art, which the art connoisseur appreciates. I loved being a student and now, working at Crown! I grew up in a smaller town, so the small town feel helped it feel a bit more like home. I also enjoy the many acres of land. I am disappointed they haven't built a baseball field yet, but other than that, they have a fantastic disc golf course, brand new football stadium, and even a softball field. My overall experience at Crown was good, but was very disappointed in my last semester at the lack of care and empathy given to students. While prayers are nice, prayers without any empathy or action behind them don't mean anything. Even more disappointing the lack of care came from so called mental health professionals. It's hard to tell %100 for sure during this COVID-19 days but the times I went there, I saw a student population a lot more relaxed, focused and engaged in their reason for attending college, compared to some other places we visited prior to enrollment. A very nice campus situated on Lake Bemidji; the lake might double as a parking lot in the winter. Low tuition for Minnesota residents with scholarships available based on academics. If you score well on the ACT and have good grades or a high class rank you likely will get scholarship money. The friendly admissions staff is knowledgeable and provides individualized service. Spent a year at the MSUM in Moorhead. Pro's: The Sociology program is fantastic. Dr. Vigilant is very knowledgeable and willing to really explain the 'nitty gritty' of what you are learning. Most of the other teachers are very nice and willing to help. Nice campus, the advisers are friendly and mostly available. Con's: The administration is horrible. Worse than horrible. I have been out of school for over 5 years and they still find ways to screw me over whenever I have to deal with them. From key administrative aids being out of the office for weeks, to the purposeful and never ending runaround you get from every single person from billing, to academics, to student aid, to the school board. They impose random holds on your account and never take them off, even after bringing in at least 3 people to resolve the issue. Its the poster-child for bureaucracy. Good school. Excellent film, theatre, and education programs. A decent price for the full university experience without having to walk a mile to you next class. Knocked a star off because of the numerous classes cut and horrible decisions made by the last president. The dorms, and other campus facilities are undergoing numerous needed renovations. I’m a mature student in the 3rd year of my undergraduate studies at Middlesex Uni, London, UK. Just had an excellent experience from one of the professors from the university who took time to politely respond to my information request regarding one of his excellent and renowned web published articles. My grandson attended 1 semester in 2017. The staff appeared to be helpful during the enrollment process. They had him in classes that he shouldn't have had to begin with…. he didnt have a choice to get generals out of the way. They wanted you to take classes that you would have to continue with there so you could never transfer anywhere else. When you set up an account online, if there was a problem getting access, they never assisted you. We ended up with a big bill because staff were never available or returned calls. When my grandson called to speak to them, their lines wouldnt even ring! I personally was present when this happened! He tried to call to tell them he wasn't returning for 2nd semester. Then he received a $980. Bill in July because he never notified them. When I called in May to verify all Bill's were totaled, they assured me it was correct. Then we got that letter in July! So by the time they turned the bill over to Mn Dept of Revenue for collections, they added another $2500. To collect. So the total was over $12,200. For 1 semester! Like I said, the staff appears to be helpful, but when theres a problem, they just arent available to help. Seemed a bit of a scam to me. I personally would steer clear from this institution. It's in a small rural community with very limited employment opportunities for a student to have a part time job. Sorry SMSU for the not so good review, but I feel future students need to hear the truth.D Kruse

I graduated from 2009, and went to a junior college for my first two years. Following that I transfered to SMSU. Once I got to Marshall it was easy to see that I had downgraded. The Campus of SMSU is old and out dated, with poor parking set up. Parking it self is always a risk because of the random parking tickets that get issued. It seems like once a week a person could get a new parking ticket. Class sizes are fair to OK they are not as small as they boast about on the radio, and you are a number at SMSU they are business first organization. If there is a way that they can make an extra dollar or two off of their students they find a way how. Whether its changer around classes for majors so seniors are forced to take extras before they graduate or simply charging extra for classes. SMSU is not the campus the lead people to believe it is. I am from the area born and raised, and had alot of respect for the campus before I went there.. After spending 3 years at SMSU I am disappointed to say i would not recommend this school for everyone… Its a small campus with large campus mind set "SMSU where you are a number"Tim Johnson

I went here a year ago. It was definitely a high school feeling. It had the regular high school clicks. The gym wasn't even that great and was always being used by student athelte. Food was undercooked and it wasn't open the whole day. Housing was awful. The CA never in forced the quiet hours. The dorms and whole school needed updating. Academics was not that great. Professors kept leaving and class got canceled a lot. Class size was average. Financial aid was a pain. It took two to three months just to get a loan thrpugh. I wouldn't recommend to anybody until they do some updating.Zach D

Baylor is an amazing school. For a few reviews before me we are not all "rich kids wanting to blow daddy's money" or "rude". I personally have a bad background that would not match the first statement. I am not rich. I am blessed to be in this university thanks to scholarships and my hard working mother. Baylor itself is a blessing. Its a rigorous school BUT very well worth it. I love being part of the Baylor community. Its a beautiful campus filled with loving people. Its not "perfect" because nothing is. There will be a few issues like yes there are some kids who don't care and my be rude or blow things off but really if you are a part of it you will see the majority of the campus and the people here are more than amazing and loving. This is a fantastic university for the liberal arts. I have talked to people from other universities and to those that have come to visit me at college, and all of them see a difference in the student body. There is just a different atmosphere. All the people are kind and welcoming and always willing to help in times of need. The professors are nationally ranked and are not only outstanding in their fields of study, but wonderful people as well. Even if you're not looking to go to college, its a beautiful campus to just walk around in. It's almost like a park in some ways. Just give it a visit and I promise you'll be hooked! I loved my time as I attended Baylor for undergrad, and grad school (2008-2015). The campus has changed so much since i first step foot in 2008 (all for the better). Baylor (and Waco) is in a resurgence/growth period. Its an awesome time for Baylor and Waco. I loved my time there even though I'm not religious (agnostic/theist). Great people (students and especially faculty), and community. There was a reason why I came back to get my masters at Baylor. They helped me get through some rough times, and i am better for it now. I have had an amazing experience with Herzing University! I am excelling in my degree choice and I couldn't be more satisfied with my learning experience and the flexibility that the online program gives me.The instructors are all willing to help whenever I have a question, and if they see many students struggling with something, they will post an announcement with some helpful tips on how to proceed through our courses. The learning material is easy to understand, the discussion boards really help me connect with my classmates more than I normally would, the library is full of everything you might need for your studies, and the Coach rooms and Tutoring center are very helpful! I have seen many posts off and on about how students struggled in this school. I have to say the most common thing I see students struggling from in these courses is not doing the assigned work on time, not participating in the discussions, and not following the assigned directions on assignments. We have to take responsibility and do our work (on time!) or we will not succeed, and we should not blame someone else for our lack of trying. Just with everything else in life, if you do not put any effort into something, you will not gain anything from it. I stared with Herzing back in 2013 for my undergrad BSN RN. At that time, school was still establishing itself, therefore, I had some rough time getting through the program, but overall my experience was good. This year I came back for my MSN FNP and let me tell you ))) My experience with Herzing in 2019 is absolutely amazing. This school grew so much! This is not an honest university. They lie to students just to get their money and do not help students in any way. They even try shady tactics to steal your money like not allowing you to drop all your course within the drop/add period which is odd because that time frame should give you the authority to do so. They try to keep courses on your schedule so they can charge you for it. The financial aid department is rude and can never keep their information straight. You will always get a different answer with them. They are only nice to the students who get duped into giving them money, but if you ask them about your financial aid they get upset as if you are only supposed to be seen not heard. The staff are very unresponsive they do not pick up the phone, return phone calls and do not answer emails efficiently. An example if you ask them how much will it be for four courses and will it be costly. they will answer an answer like how many course do you plan to take. A lot of their answers either don't answer the question, don't make sense or are answering a question with a question. Plus, the cost per credit is very high for the type of school it is. Better schools have a lower cost per credit like schools on the east coast, south and west coast. The President ignores students and doesn't respond to them. Plus, a lot of the staff is lazy. A task that only takes a day or two to complete with take them three weeks. Upon admission they omit a lot of important information to lure you into their program. DO NOT ATTEND THIS UNIVERSITY! THERE ARE BETTER SCHOOLS OUT THERE FOR LESS. CONCORDIA- UNRESPONSIVE. UNREAL.IRRELEVANT.Amy W

This is by far the worst run school I have ever seen. First, the front offices can’t tell if you’re coming or going. They tell you everything is in order but then come back to you after classes are starting and tell you they forgot to submit your paperwork. They also like to have you sign up for programs they have zero possibility of even having get off the ground. So once your registered they pull a bait and switch on you and drop you into a program until your desired program eventually starts. Hint: the program never starts so you owe them a lot of money and never even get the degree you originally desired. This place definitely treats you more as a dollar sign than a student and couldn’t care less about your goals or future. Only that you pay them on time. There is some serious shady business that takes place in this school. Especially in the business programs. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to find out that they will be under investigation for secretly operating as a “For profit institution”. Hint: they will be soon because they have been reported. Also, don’t expect them to offer you any form of apologies, even when they know they mess up. When three students in a program confront the administrators and program chairs about their desire to learn, and the lack of cooperation from instructors, the entire management team runs and buries their heads in the sand. Honestly, my best advice is to cross this school off your list if you value your future, or have any interest in a real education. I'm sure this would be a good school if I was able to actually login and do my work without a problem on a daily basis. But since I have to call the Help Desk everyday to get my password reset so I can get online and do my work, I can't tell. I have no problems logging into any other websites or accounts, and I have dozens of them. But try as I might to do something simple like put in a username and password and be able to get into the site and do my work seems to be a monumental challenge to this school. I've had two classes so far and my experience doing work here is traumatic. I absolutely dread coming to the computer to login because I know it's going to be an hour on the phone with the help desk and they're going to assume the problem is with my computer, like they always do. Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is a special institution in northeastern Minnesota. The College is the only dual public and tribal college in the entire USA. The College offers a wide array of career based and university transfer programming. The campus setting is beautiful. The College offers student housing, athletic facilities, and pleasant student spaces. Administration and faculty deeply care about student results. The College is originally diverse in northeastern minnesota…..40% of it's student body is non-white. I graduated in 2010 with 2 degrees. It was a 2 year Tribal College, (had to take the Anishinaabe class), I went for 4ish years I loved it so much! It was affordable with quite a few classes to choose from. When I started, it was a small school with few people in classes, and wonderful instructors that had the time to spend with you if you weren't understanding something. LOVED IT! This 2 yr college is a place of many public events. Right now they are having their last of 4 free summer concerts. Beautiful architecture. Many cultures have gone thru the doors to receive a 2 yr degree and go on to other schools. Their football team..Thunder…has an excellent program..most of the players are from the deep South and experiencing cold for the first time…they house many sports teams. Excellent place. I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good luck finding a place as tranquil anywhere else near the city. There is however one small con and one big con.. the small con is that there aren't that many places to eat and Sodexo runs all the food on campus, and their attempts at ethnic foods are sad. And the aforementioned big con is that there is no less than 3 buildings being built on this tight peninsula right now, and one huge building that was taken down over the year I've been here.. the construction is a mess. Though the new, finished buildings, like the science complex, are great. But if you can take the T somehow, as I do, this place is fantastic.Mikhail M. Nitko

UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute that students can be a part of. I love the new Integrated science center, incubating many New exciting NIH sponsored science research studies. It is an exciting time for UMASS Boston which has a new chancellor with generous scholarship. Chancellor merit scholarship will allow students to get world class education for free.Khuong Nguyen

I am a student here at UMB, the professors are great. The administration is bureaucratic and inefficient and lacks transparency on any basic level. Parking here is dependent upon arrival time. If you get here at 10:20 good luck finding a space in bayside, probably will have to park at the globe. Clinical placement sites for Nursing are good, labs are good, the school is constantly under construction and areas are always being blocked off. Parking will soon cost between 9-15 dollars a day according to emails from the uni. So it’s alright but the university is slowly draining the life of its commuters.Bill Whitney

I would not recommend this school, I am truly and whole heartedly regretful of choosing this school over all of the other options I had. Something about this school stood out to me, and the counselors here try really hard to get you in. I do not identify with Christian faith and I am not religious at all so I initially felt weird about going to this school, but they mention multiple times that they accept all faiths and backgrounds so I felt better. However, upon talking their forced “Christian Worldview” class, the teacher grades with an iron fist for a 101 class and is just awful. My GPA for sure was going to plummet due to this stupid 101 class that they force on you. Honestly it was so ridiculous that I felt the need to reach out to my advisor. I was trying to come up with a solution because I felt some type of way about this. I suggested them placing me with a different teacher, since this teacher has AWFUL reviews going back years yet they do nothing about it. However they pretty much told me I still had to take the class, I could not switch to another teacher (you cannot pick your own teachers by the way which is huge for me now). Their only solution was that “another teacher would review my work.” This turned me off so bad from the entire school that I ended up withdrawing due to principal which messed up my financial aid. They honestly did not care one bit and obviously know there is a problem but do nothing to address it. I was so turned off that I chose to mess up my financial aid and just pick another school, there was no way that I was finishing out my degree here after this. Go elsewhere !!Taylor

I am an Atheist. I chose this college because it had the focus I was looking for, the delivery method was fully online so I could continue to work, and the price was the best around. I did not feel like being of the Christian faith was a prerequisite. My instructors and professors were not pushy with religion, and for a master's program, I felt like I was able to learn what was necessary for the field I was in. I have a Master's degree and 2 focuses now from GCU and I couldn't be happier with my education and experience. Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. Much of the SCSU campus is beautiful & worth a long walk or bike ride. Lovely historic old buildings & newer buildings show fascinating architecture. Plenty of gardens, benches & green space. Perfect for a decent environment on campus. Nice planning by SCSU leadership! Congrats! Unfortunately…. the city of St Cloud didn't have the same insight & planning skills. Some of the surrounding college neighborhood buildings are owned by cheap, incompetent, opportunistic landlords. Many rental houses & apartments are Ugly eye sores….and this reflects poorly on SCSU!! WHY THE HELL did the city of St Cloud not have stronger building, housing rental codes & regulations? For many years the City Council & other city leadership groups failed SCSU. The nearby older historic homes (on lovely tree lined streets) were once very nice….yet were allowed to seriously deteriorate & become a drawback. This has hurt SCSU regarding new perspective students, home buyers, businesses & visitors. Shameful….for years there must have been Very poor, weak, inept leadership in the city of St Cloud!!! I realize there have been some recent efforts to turn this neighborhood mess around. But the pitiful planning & damage was done over many decades….and the city is facing a very uphill battle. St Clous State isn’t too bad if you don’t care or aren’t paying out of your own pocket. The quality education is low. Lack of resource for students to succeed. Decent professors. Cleaning staffs and financial administration are great. Lacks student diversity and safety. Dorm security needs to be more secure, especially in Sherburn Hall. SCSU get most of their money from international Napel students. Student population is 80% Napel. Highly discourage anyone to attend. First semester/year, you’ll wish you never wasted time and money on SCSU. That’s why their graduation rate is so low (below 50%), students transfer out after attending the first semester/year. Academic Advisors are burnt out, and 1 per program with over 100 students. They don’t know what they’re talking about most of the time. Homecoming was fun but not very many participants. The school originally pushing it into October didn't help and then canceling it all together for a large part of a decade. The alumni and students kind of either don't remember or are apathetic towards the concept. The city and the school need to work together with the alumni, student organizations (especially the greeks who have a vested interest in their alumni) to make people interested in coming back every year. My husband & I graduated from what was then Bethel College & Seminary in 1968. My years there are among the best of my life! We were privileged to sing with the College Choir – the best of the best of my lifetime experiences. I most highly recommend Bethel to anyone trying to select the best college to attend. I especially recommend it to music majors as their music program is outstanding! Bethel is a Christian University with a student body consisting primarily of dedicated Christian young people. As with any Christian school, there are a few students who are sent there by their parents with the hope that the school will straighten them out. Fortunately, these students are few and far between! I feel as if most of the reviews given do not do justice to the University itself and to the incoming freshman's coming straight from high school. I chose to go to this particular university because my family engraved this stigma against large universities. "Smaller classes" are better because you will get a more personable experience with your professor. Also, growing up in a Catholic household, this was the ideal school for me. I was also drawn into the University for many other reasons. 1. I was drawn to the nursing program because it stated that all "incoming freshman's with 3.5 GPA's will have automatic admittance into the nursing program". 2. The scholarship I received in the mail blew my mind. However, little did I know that it would still cost me an arm and a leg to pay for me staying there. 3. I will never forget any of the professor's I have taken because they really are the most kindest people you'll ever meet. (most of them at least). I spent one year at UST and I can honestly tell you that I have gained some and lost some. I have gained great communication skills, great study skills, few great friends, and student debt. On the other hand, I lost one year of college, thirty thousand dollars, and valuable knowledge I could have further expanded instead of taking philosophy and theology requirements. I enrolled to UST intending to graduate with a nursing degree. I thought I gained automatic admittance due to my 3.5+ GPA in highschool. However, that was not the case because you must apply to UST first as a student, then apply into the nursing school at the end of the year (which is really competitive because there are only 40 slots and 100-200 students applying?). If I were to have known that I would have just gone to UTA where they do live up to that statement of automatic admittance with a certain GPA requirement. So I basically spent a year paying for graduate school when all I needed were pre-reqs that I could have taken at HCC. I remember signing up for ONE summer statistics class and the price totaled to $4,000+. People at UH spend $4,000-5,000 in ONE SEMESTER with 12 credits. Also, to all the feminist's out there, they pay male professor's more than female professors (for doing the same job). And that does not undermine the fact that the professors make less than the average salary while the president of the university makes more than the average university president salary? hm. With the tuition exceeding $30,000+ a year, it comes to show where the money goes to since you cannot see it on the campus. The library is out dated, the buildings are outdated, however the church is beautiful. I guess a really good thing UST does is how they offer amazing scholarships to veterans and police officers who serve. Another disappointment is the lack of student/campus life. This school seems to be more fitting for older students, not younger incoming freshman. There are not many active clubs or events like you would see at UTSA, UH, or any public college. It somewhat makes you lose the "college experience". However, they do offer retreats and study abroad opportunities. It is really inclusive to Catholicism, however it comes to no surprise as this is a catholic university. If you are financially well off, with money to spare for 6 extra classes (18 credits total) and smaller class sizes then this is the place for you. If you get admitted for free due to financial aid, then even better. Do not attend this school if you are an incoming freshman looking to experience college to the max. This university won't give you the opportunity to explore what you want, instead it will decide for you. And smaller class sizes will not make you pass, it is up to you to take that initiative. No matter how big or small the university is, it is your initiative that makes you succeed. All in all, it is an average school, just isn't the one for me.delol mko

The Cameron School of Business is great for anyone looking for a good quality MBA program in Houston for working professionals. They are AACSB accredited, which was one of my deciding factors in going to school here. Less than 5% off all business schools in the world are AACSB accredited according to their website. The staff is friendly, some of the classrooms could use updating, and the computer labs need a bit of an upgrade. The campus is really nice and was designed by Philip Johnson the famous architect. Overall the programs are good especially for working professionals. However, some of the finance, accounting, and other quantitative courses should be more challenging and require more Calculus, Diff Eq. more advanced statistics, etc. to improve the quality of the overall program.Tom Dantario

So forever grateful I was able to spend 4 amazing years at this school. I am not sure what the other people reviewing recently are talking about, as I felt the community at this campus is very welcoming and friendly. It is a catholic school so they do teach and emphasize catholic studies, however there are many classes that center around other beliefs. I never felt like my beliefs were being stomped on, and I am not catholic. Also, if you are worried about your social life and getting the college experience, don't be! You can definitely still have the college experience and attend St. Kate's. The campus always has activities going on, and there are many schools in the area. First I want to say my advisor was amazing she was super helpful through all this mess. I was supposed to start this month but they said they were missing things so I couldn’t get in until the next semester when they had everything. but we had already sent them everything we had sent to every other college we applied to. They were the only ones we had this problem with. They then today told me that we weren’t gonna be accepted due to the fact that they don’t accept the accredited bodies that my school was accredited by due to varying standards idk what that means. This school is way too expensive for an OTA degree. You can also get the same online degree at less expensive colleges. I do not recommend St. Kate’s to anyone. Unless you have the extra money to waste. Plus, their requirements are ridiculous. After spending 4 1/2 years at UNW my thoughts and experience would take a book to finish. But I'll try to be short. Pros. I loved most of my professors. I had professors who actually cared for my success and are willing to go out of their ways to help. Many of my professors knew me personally and I wasnt just a number in their schedule. Which I can't say my other friends from other colleges can say. UNW pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me realize what my passions are; through realizing how much I disagreed with the institution, but nevertheless I matured. The friends I've made. True and great friends who all felt the same. lol Cons: granted not every student is and thinks the same, but there's enough consensus to make me believe the school does way too little to better itself. Too much of the school thinks they're past racism. Whenever we reach a topic on anything related to culture or race we would have less than 2 days to talk about it while other topics used a week easily. Professors uncomfortability trumps the need to discuss out issues. Teachers have openly say diversity is the issue. 100% of school advertisement would showcase vast variety of diversity and multiculturalism, yet students of color makes less than 5% of the entire body. And 95% of the students in the advertisements don't even go to Northwestern. I know this because I know most of those students and they've graduated years ago. Academically it was subpar for the price of admission. Tuition jumped $10,000 within the time I was there. The school preaches love yet it's hard to find any. As a student of color, for years i felt so out of place. We were referred as a horde of animals, we were unvalued, and were expected to fit into that sameness the school holds on to. I've heard and seen many use their gospel to reject our presence. They're friendly on the outside but could care less about who you are. There's more I can say, but my verdict is this: if you like monoculture, ethnocentrism, expensive decent academics, and want to go back to your tiny town, then Northwestern is great for you. If you're a student of color who wants a supportive community, a student body that strives for cultural acceptance, understanding, and REAL gospel love equaled with high academic quality, go somewhere else. This school needs to adapt to the supply and demand of skills in the market workplace. There are more students than there are jobs demanding the skills that this college and colleges in general is teaching. For example, the MIS program focuses heavily on programming and not enough in other IT skills such as business intelligence, data analytics, business/systems analysis, and quality assurance. Sure, this program and its current state of heavy programming courses has worked well for most alumni's to get roles in both programming and non-programming jobs but that is not the case for some students that do not have that high of a GPA. These students will have a TOUGHER time finding a job in a IT role that they want because they were not given the ability to choose more courses relevant to their career choices as opposed to a student that is more technical savvy and understand technology in general better. Not saying that these students with lower GPAs won't find a job but just that it will be 2-3 times as tougher. Companies are looking for more than just programmers but yet UNW and colleges in general continues to push a lot irrelevant coding courses on them that they will never use. I have been out of this school for a while and not once have I have had the need to use java, xml, and visual basis nor did the roles I have interviewed for (from the IT topics I listed above) have asked for it. A lot of companies are hiring for business/systems analysis, business intelligence, data analytics, and quality assurance but programming is the main focus for this program. This program is still stuck in the 80s-90s. This school needs to start adapting to the supply and demand of the workplace market.James Smith

I loved parts of my time on at Northwestern. I was in choir, played on the men's soccer team, and participated in various student clubs. But let's be real, Northwestern is only a friendly place if you are a white evangelical who is cool with patriarchy and spiritualized ethnocentrism. Do not attend if you are a person of color. They are institutionally racist and theologically conservative. I majored in education ( I now teach in South Bronx) and was not trained well to educate a diverse classroom. I even had professors deny racism was a real issue … In education, are you serious? (Can you say school to prison pipeline ?) The biblical studies department act like the Jesus police, and do not appreciate any perspective outside of selective biblical literalism. There are a few shining stars on staff who think outside the box, but they are literally apart of the underground and cannot speak openly in fear they will be excommunicated and fired. One saving grace is that Ron Ginn got me a placement teaching in North Minneapolis where I found great mentors. Such a sweet and loving man. This is a wonderful place if you are straight, conservative, classist, theologically conservative, white and plan to never interact with anyone outside of white evangelicalism. Be prepared to have loving people shame you with the bible if you think differently or look differently. I appreciate Rasmussen University for having an abundance of resources and many professors and other staff members who demonstrate they want students to succeed. I especially have enjoyed being a peer educator, being privileged to work with Tammy Hopps who is an excellent supervisor and leader, and also being able to work with other peer educators who care for their peers as much as I do. I transferred from a local state college, which I considered sticking with to save money, but in reality, not much is saved when you compare the timeframe for graduation. At the state college it would take me an extra 2 whole years to receive my BSN, whereas at Rasmussen I save 2 years of time because of their second-degree BSN option. I am very pleased with the quality of technology – at the state school blackboard and other resources were slow and did not work as well on my cell phone, whereas with Rasmussen I can easily access everything I need from my phone when I'm on the go. It's inspiring to see so many single parents and married parents in school, some of which also work full time or part time like myself while completing their degree. I had such high hopes when enrolling at this school. However my experience hasn't been favorable at all. I am a current student and I was disappointed because even though I was able to enroll and start classes I really felt unsupported on this journey. I'm realizing Rasmussen may not be the school for me. I REALLY thought I would be supported and encouraged. I was made to feel that Rasmussen would be rooting for me through my academic journey. Instead I am bombarded with emails and calls telling me what I already know… I owe money. No calls or emails about how I can be helped to budget so that I can pay more toward the balance. I'm only being told: what I owe, to get the balance down to $500-$1000 and to take out loans; which will only put me in debt and it's too early to be taking out loans when I've been in school since September of 2021 and have 2 more years. Also this school doesn't cater to single parents, limited income and individuals that HAVE to work. This school ONLY has day classes for the nursing program and as I said before I HAVE to work full time.Sherria Clark

This morning I called the university for the North Orlando Campus for the Nursing program and spoke to the director of Nursing who was discusstingly rude on the phone. I called to get information, He had no patience and told me Not to proceed a career in Nursing because it was Not for me. This was a university that I was so excited to be a part of and be a graduate of Nursing. The director needs to be Fired because he is giving the university a bad reputation. Both of my boys attended this college. It is the gem of the UM system. As others have noted, the class sizes are small and the profs actually do the teaching, getting to know their students in a way that can't happen in a graduate research facility such as the main campus in the Twin Cities. Tuition is very affordable which was a bonus for this single parent. Although there is some typical college town alcohol abuse, neither of my kids came across hard drugs. NO METH!! If you are looking for a progressive, environmentally conscious, diverse group of people, Morris may be just the place for you!Bea Winkler

UMM offers everything you'd want from a small, private liberal arts college, but because it's a public school it costs considerably less. I studied music here, and I couldn't recommend this department highly enough–particularly if you're interested in piano (incredible instructors) or composition (lots of enthusiasm for student works). The campus itself is beautiful, the student community is intimate and fun, and the professors are super accessible. I'd give the place six stars if I could.Mitch Grussing

I attended this University years ago! It was awesome and weird at the same time. They have some really caring professors, the counselors could use a bit of a touch up on understanding and relating to the student needs. This is definitely a college town and everything is far away. So be careful when traveling to the nearest store which was like 7-11 or a gas station convenience store. My dorm was in a coed building and lucky my room was near the bathroom. Dorm size was pretty cool.Nicole Smith
