Philander Smith College is a mold infested rodent infested campus where they don’t put any money into the students or the dorms living situation they only care about the money the washer and dryer is barely work and you can smell mold in your room and in your shower. I also was assaulted at philander Smith College twice in the Staff field to do anything about the situation so after the school year I decided not to come back but when I went up there to get my transcript they tried to charge me $250 for the situation but as a whole Philander Smith College failed me In many of my peers this college is overpriced and the teachers don’t care about your education for real I wish I never attended this college!!!!Douglas Official

This college registration process is "TRASH"! We will definitely be rethinking our "Spring" school selection. I have seen a lot of things go wrong with registration but this takes the cake. If you are considering sending your child to this college you should inquire about how they run this office. The rude unprofessional staff gave us the run around for 3months. She will not get a refund for the room and board we paid for that was not available. She was given a very unreasonable and unrealistic schedule, and now has to sit out for a semester. I'm a very unhappy mother. I would not recommend this school to anyone. Everyone working in the library was very pleasant and professional. My daughter enjoyed the exhibits, reading the president's daily schedules, and letters from citizens while he was in office. Great Gym! Very Highly Recommend! I recently signed up with WestLittleRock Crossfit and loving it so far. Kristen Smith took care of my Introductory Classes for CF and I realized she is one of the best trainers I worked with, very attentive, very detailed specific, and most of all have a zeal to help the trainees and give her 100%. I heard Kristen can even do Goal Planning for each Trainee, Isn't that amazing. Group sessions were simply great, Charles and JD were the Trainers that I worked with so far and they were very Professional, they know how to get the results out of your workouts. The Workout of the day is planned before the session so trainees can know what they can expect from a session, so we can prepare for the session mentally and physically. I cannot wait to be part of this Gym community and looking forward to working with other Trainers as well. WLRCF is absolutely amazing! My wife and I moved to Little Rock not knowing anyone and decided to give CrossFit a try. We weren’t in the best shape ever, but everyone was so supportive and welcoming that it made us actually want to go work out. Destanee guided us through our foundations, and she was and is an absolutely awesome coach! She explains things in ways that anyone can understand and has so much patience never making you feel uncomfortable with your skill level. I take Taekwondo at Master Hong's Taekwondo along with my wife and two kids. My wife and daughter are black belts while me and my son are just starting out. Master Hong is an excellent instructor and works very well with students at all ability levels. He is exceptionally good at instilling discipline in children and knows how to inspire them to try their best in class. His classes are divided into Little Tigers, color belts, adults and black belt classes so there is something for everyone. He also provides added value outside of the standard curriculum with self defense techniques, weapons training, sparring and older style Palgwe forms. The classes are strenuous but he strikes a balance between maximizing the workout and training safely and tells his students to pace themselves if they are overextended. This is very important for older out of shape individuals like myself. His studio is also the only World Taekwondo Federation (WT) dojang in Little Rock and teaches a different more traditional style of Taekwondo than the ATA studios which abound here. It is quite unusual to be instructed directly by a Master of his rank (7th dan), so it is an exceptional value. I highly recommend this dojang for anyone from the beginner to the black belt who just wants to get back into the sport.chien chen

My whole family takes classes at Master Hong's Taekwondo. He's an excellent martial artist and teacher. He is wonderful with kids. It is quite unusual to find a martial artist of his caliber (7th Dan) directly involved in the day to day teaching of students including children and color belts. I also want to mention that Master Hong's Olympic Taekwondo is a Kukkiwon sanctioned World Taekwondo Federation dojang, the only one in Little Rock. Ms. Ebony performed my service. When I arrived, she was already there waiting to welcome me in. She wiped down and sanitized all of the equipment in front of me so I could verify she did it. The past 10 weeks at Little Rock School of Dental Assisting have been 10 weeks that I will remember forever.. It has been such an incredible experience. I came from Colorado as an Instrumentation and Controls tech at a power plant. We hire a HVAC contractor to perform our basic maintenance, which we should be able to perform in house. I had a very limited knowledge of HVAC and decided to take the AC and Refrigeration class from Ultimate Tech Academy. I attend up to three classes a year in various fields to benefit my employer as well as myself. I have been doing different training for over eight years. Ultimate Tech Academy is the most beneficial training that I have ever been through. They had multiple trainers in the five days that I was there, which had various different backgrounds that made the training easier to understand. I could not believe the amount of hands on equipment that they had to train the students on. There was two HVAC classes going on when I was there, which had around 20 students total. There was plenty of equipment for everyone to work on without standing around. This is not a class that you should take if you want your employer to pay for a free vacation. Our classes started at 8:00 am and we did not get out until after 5:00 pm. They also require homework at night. I decided to take the NATE CORE & NATE HEAT PUMP tests, which of course added more homework time to each of my nights. After Ultimate Tech Academy's class I was able to pass the NATE CORE and missed passing the NATE HEAT PUMP test by a couple questions. For me to be able to do so well on the two NATE tests with only one week of training as well as very little HVAC experience is amazing in my opinion. If you are wanting to learn to benefit yourself or you want your employees to get a great training class you cannot go wrong with this course!!Marty Behrman

I was fortunate enough to attend this academy. The HVAC company I work for sent me to the Advanced Diagnostic course which was a week long. I had a fantastic experience that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Not only was the course very informative and beneficial, but they also fed us every day with a menu to choose from! Since I have been back to work I have noticed a huge difference in my self confidence and technical ability. I have increased my sales numbers significantly and I am now making more money every month due to the knowledge I gained at the academy. I came to Ultimate Technical Academy as a green technician with less than a year in the field. After completing this 1 week condensed course I feel that my skill set has been improved 10x. The staff is incredible, starting with the owners Mark and Pat. They are knowledgeable, passionate and very hospitable, they seem to really care about the service they provide and have clearly invested a lot of time into producing this program. I attended that advanced diagnostics program, instructed by Mark, the other lab instructors are really awesome, and they all know their stuff. I have gone twice within the last month and am very pleased. Being a graduate of a cosmetology school myself, this is a much better route. My stylist Lavon did a deep conditioning, hair cut and silk press which isn’t easy on my mixed textures of hair. She absolutely nailed it each time. I have had so many ladies ask me who did my hair! I am sad that I have to get braids for my delivery soon but the moment they come out I’ll be back! The environment is friendly and upbeat. If you check the website on their Covid Policy students and staff are asked to wear masks. With the increase in cases I was shocked to see only 2 wearing a mask. I have even there before and was returning to get my hair done again. I asked the student if she would wear a mask and she did not answer me. These are prime candidates to be infected. There was no ventilation. Students sat in groups. No social distancing. A perfect infection scenario. Unsafe environment and total lack of concern for clients.Kathy Auguste

I graduated from sia tech little rock. I worked hard and at my own pace. The staff where able to work with my individualized education needs. I started sia tech with only 9 grade credits completed. I completed the entire course for my high school diploma in 11 months. Sia tech gave me the opportunity to earn my highschool diploma I otherwise wouldn't have been able. Thanks to there amazing staff and teachers who hands on are able to help each step. Sia tech is an amazing program I highly recommend it to students seeking not traditional high school diploma course's. Don’t go don’t attend if you need financial aide spent months on the phones with the incompetent worker of the financial aide office. Everyday a new piece of information was needed or a paper that was already send in was lost. Over 3 times I had to pay to refax papers that were already send it. Also very non helpful they will sigh in your ear and don’t give you any helpful info just basic information to get you off the phone. I’m a first generation college student who did everything on his own and because of these sad miserable workers in this office I want start college until January. Nothing is as it seems and it was not always glorious, but the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff gave me more than simply a degree. This school has the WORSE financial aid department in my opinion that I have ever experienced, they awarded me someone else's scholarship, did not notify me until a month later, and then hassled me about reimbursement (plus informed me that I would not be able to start the next school year until it was paid). Good luck trying to get information over the phone. Agree with the earlier comment and I've been going here for over 2 years part-time. You will HAVE to go to the school to get any information, ever. You can call every single person on the faculty list for Admissions and Records and will get voicemail 100% of the time on any given day. You will be told wrong information from some advisors so I've been really careful to get second opinions. I was told I needed X amount of credits to graduate by one advisor only to find out that in my last semester I actually needed 7 classes. Had to take all 7 in one semester if I wanted to graduate as planned. I did it but it was hell. Certain professors are not to blame for the lack of admin support. I've had some great professors and good classes but the infrastructure is severely lacking and unfortunately, that is the first impression many get of college. If you are not prepared to take on every little issue by yourself, pick another school.Chelsea Thompson

i only gave 3 for some reasons, first, make sure you do keep communicating staffs here since no one told me about my college transcript ( had to order another one from different college) 2nd, there were no communication at all to let me know whats going on when i found out that there were some conflict according to my email they sent. The process to get in may be a hassle but if you do not give up and fight to get things done then it will be worth it. Make sure your college transcript says your last enrollment if transferred like me. If you are taking classes at another college then there will be conflict here. Just heads upKayla Kolton

Do your basics here. Quick, cheap, and easy. Then transfer over to your 4 year college which will more than likely be UALR. NEVER let your guidance counselor "guide" you. In other words, do NOT allow them to make your schedule without double checking it. 99% of the time you will be put in classes that you don't even need which means it will take you longer to graduate. Don't be a dummy. Get a print out of the classes that you need for your degree and just start putting them on your schedule. Don't waste electives by taking some class you don't need. Take a class that counts towards your degree as an elective.Patryk

Cons: •it’s in a not-so-good area of town, so beware leaving your vehicle unlocked and leaving valuable things in it. •no coin machines, so you’ll have to travel to the nearest ATM to get $20 so you can get $4 in change from a gas station and then you can wash your clothes.Col Lan
