I recently finished my second Technical degree for Metal Fabrication as a returning student. I delayed going back to school for years for lots of reasons, but mostly because I thought it would be as awful of an experience as High School was. Instead the teachers in my program were excellent. I was always challenged by the projects and supported in my learning in equal measure. If you're looking to get into welding or Metal Fabrication, these programs are career fields that need people, pay well, and you can learn them here! Don't sleep on the trade skills that can be taught here. Go to the open houses, see if these are things you're interested in doing. A 4 year degree isn't The guarantee of employment it used to be, but these one year Technical degrees, leading to in demand fields are.Travis H

Very nice tech college. Almost everyone you come across on campus can point you in the right direction. I just started school today online. But tomorrow I get to go to campus. It's a clean sanitary environment. There is currently some remodeling going on, so part of the building you cannot access… yet! AC was on, felt awesome. temperature didn't change much room to room either. All the employees seem to know their job very well and are willing to help. I chose Madison Area Technical College because I know many people that have graduated and successfully got into a job they wanted. This school is also smaller than UW Madison so I feel like the learning experience is better, more hands on, more participation versus a large school such as UW Madison.Shane Toycen

The good profs here are all just professors moonlighting from UW Madison, I'd honestly say you should apply to and go to literally any other UW system school before here. The quality of education isn't bad- but they somehow managed to misplace finances and put 650 bucks into collections randomly – without mailing me any notifications, and without a notifications on the online portal. You won't get competency from any of the administrative staff, expect 5 week long waits to see a counselor for any sort of urgent need. If you are a student with a disability – make sure you have additional copies of any medical documentation, they will claim to lose it. Most of the education staff despises the administrative staff and yeah, I can see why.Bee

I'm a vet and am finishing up my first semester at Liberty. So far I have had nothing but good experiences. I was nervous about going back to school after being in service for years, but the transition has been fairly easy with all of the help lve received.My instructors are very personable and go out of their way to help me with any problems I may run into. Professors are very professional and, unlike many schools, encourage students to form their own opinions. I have never felt as though any political agendas or doctrines were being forced upon me. Non Christians are treated equally well as everyone else, and are even welcomed to challenge or question anything they may disagree with. Divinity professors are more than willing to listen to other opinions and will clearly explain anything a non believer might want to know about Christianity. The campus itself is beautiful and full of fun things to do besides schoolwork. I am actually learning, rather than simply connecting dots to get a degree and that is exactly what I hoped for. Since I've gone to the school I've got to see politicians such as Nigel Farage and Donald Trump Jr., musicians like Jeremy Camp, sports stars like Brett Favre, world class entrepreneurs, and experts such as economists who advised the president. I’ve got one year to go to graduate from this place😭 Being a student at this university has been quite a wonderful experience. To be honest I think it’s one of the it’s not the most state of the art schools in the world. It’s impossible to get bored here. I will say though one thing about this place is that if you come here on fire for Jesus then you’ll find people on fire for Jesus but if you come here to party then you’ll find the party people so make of it what you want. Yes there’s been some drama here in the past few years but there’s drama everywhere and Liberty has been able to manage it pretty well I’d say. Set up a campus tour. It was 3 hours which entailed visiting the dorms and dining areas. To include the fitness and recreation center. As well the Jerry Falwell Library and Vines Center. We walked the campus for a few hours and then we rode the bus for the remainder of the tour. Everyone was friendly. The student tour guides did an excellent job. The campus was huge. It was well maintained. They have three dorm options. One to include apartments that house seven people. Freshmen are able to bring vehicles on campus. Wide selection of dining options. Chick Fil A, Dunkin Donuts and many others. Dining options in same building as library.LaTrenda

If I had another option I would never go to this university. They preach all of these wonderful things but when it comes down to action, they show none of it. Their system that is supposed to help students get their classes organized and keep them on the right track works, but only if you need absolutely no help. I was a second away from getting a lawyer before I actually recieved any kind of direction or assistance. Come to find that there are other people I know that have similar stories of having been given no help and shrugged off or just tossed an answer that is not helpful at all. Had my father not gone to the Dean my degree would have been stunted. It would have taken another 1-2 years to complete with the advice given to me by a secretary that refused to tell me anyone I could go to for assistance. She rather throw my EXCUSED medical absence (which I have only ever had one, and it was to have my daughter) in my face as a reason to show my incompetence and that my lack of help was MY fault. Had it not been for my parents support I probably would have dropped out due to the neglect and disrespect that I have been give from the people at this university. Not to mention they put someone in charge of a girls sports team who had been previously charged at their university with sexual assault. I have so many more examples from others around me that have had similar issues and have been ignored or bounced around from person to person when asking for academic advice or help.Tessa M

Love YSU. While this college has a lot to offer and is exceptionally friendly to ppl with disabilities I wish the department I am studying at was bigger. We only have 3 professors and unfortunately one of them is so ineffective I had to repeat every one of his classes. I learned more from my tutors in his classes than from the professor himself. Head professor is cool and extremely helpful. Also the equipment we use other than the computers are horribly out of date, built and used since the 60s and 70s. Unfortunately due to life circumstances I have to move out of state. Hopefully the next school will be just as rich as YSU and has a bigger department with up to date technology.Imperfect Xennial

YSU is such a quiet and peaceful place to go to school at. Sometimes I liked to just sit on the grass under a tree and listen to the birds and the wind as life just passed me by. The buildings are a complex maze of twists and turns that will leave your head feeling like you just entered the twilight zone, and while some students are rather rude the majority of them are extremely kind hearted. I personally feel that the school could use with a better organization system, slightly more thought out staff and faculty, but other than that it is a very amazing place to learn.Reynard Louernia

I would not recommend this school, I am truly and whole heartedly regretful of choosing this school over all of the other options I had. Something about this school stood out to me, and the counselors here try really hard to get you in. I do not identify with Christian faith and I am not religious at all so I initially felt weird about going to this school, but they mention multiple times that they accept all faiths and backgrounds so I felt better. However, upon talking their forced “Christian Worldview” class, the teacher grades with an iron fist for a 101 class and is just awful. My GPA for sure was going to plummet due to this stupid 101 class that they force on you. Honestly it was so ridiculous that I felt the need to reach out to my advisor. I was trying to come up with a solution because I felt some type of way about this. I suggested them placing me with a different teacher, since this teacher has AWFUL reviews going back years yet they do nothing about it. However they pretty much told me I still had to take the class, I could not switch to another teacher (you cannot pick your own teachers by the way which is huge for me now). Their only solution was that “another teacher would review my work.” This turned me off so bad from the entire school that I ended up withdrawing due to principal which messed up my financial aid. They honestly did not care one bit and obviously know there is a problem but do nothing to address it. I was so turned off that I chose to mess up my financial aid and just pick another school, there was no way that I was finishing out my degree here after this. Go elsewhere !!Taylor

I am an Atheist. I chose this college because it had the focus I was looking for, the delivery method was fully online so I could continue to work, and the price was the best around. I did not feel like being of the Christian faith was a prerequisite. My instructors and professors were not pushy with religion, and for a master's program, I felt like I was able to learn what was necessary for the field I was in. I have a Master's degree and 2 focuses now from GCU and I couldn't be happier with my education and experience. Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. This is my second year at Chattanooga State and I love it. The professors absolutely care about your success and offer plenty of office hours to come by. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to complicated topics like financial aid. Other students seem just as committed to the work as everyone else. The campus is clean and very pleasant to be in. The only downside is the parking. It is worth removing a star. It is a nightmare at the beginning of the semester. Unless you wake up early and arrive around eight or nine in the morning, you will struggle to find a parking spot, which is kind of awful when you don't have class for three more hours. Otherwise, I cannot imagine a better community college here. There are lots of events every month that students can participate in. The cafeteria food is pretty decent and offers a large selection. The library allows food and drink so that you can ear while you work or study. Little things like this make Chatt State super nice. Also, since someone mentioned the online classes, they will keep you very busy. The instructors expect more work than an actual lecture class, but it is manageable as long as you keep track of your time and when certain things are due.Onyx R

I was a student here and I recently transferred to a school closer to my home. My experience at this school horrible(thank to Ms. D. Jackson). I had a issue with another student and I brought it to her attention in hopes she would help solve the issue, but she did the complete opposite. Since she knew the girl's mom, Ms. Jackson decided to team up with her and "TRY" to get me kicked out of the school. I am just glad that the higher ups seen through it all and nothing came of their wrong doings. Just spent a fun couple weeks jumping through admission hoops here. Beginning to end the process was a pain, with uninformed staff, unnecessary phone tag, and an online portal that couldn't be more labyrinthine if it were coded by Daedalus… The kicker? The class I jumped all those hoops for was not even on offer. Now, call me old fashioned, but when someone asks me for a thing I don't have, I tend to lead with the fact that I don't have it. Currently a junior. Tennessee Tech makes you pay $200 for a parking pass and most of the spots fill before 8:30AM. You have to walk super far away and the buses are unreliable. There are no schedules posted for the bus routes so most people end up not using them. All employee parking is super close while students have to walk 10+ minutes to get to campus. Not good for ladies who have evening classes during the fall. It can be quite scary walking by yourself when the sun sets or at nightfall. The biology program is the only reason why I’m finishing my degree here.Hazi

Tennessee Tech is in a class of its own. The quality of education found here is unparalleled by any other institution of its kind. I truly believe I received an education just as valuable as any around, and in some cases for a third or a quarter of the price. I can now say I'll graduate debt free in May with the skills necessary to excel in a graduate school environment. Just remember that in any situation, you only get out what you put in. My child is looking into colleges and interested in Chemical Engineering. Techs campus was very impressive from the original meet and great to the tour and then meeting the professors for my child’s specific choice of majors. The professor Sanders passion for what he taught was obvious and made Tech my child’s #1 pick so far. Got my B.S. here, and am finished with my coursework for my MBA, just waiting for grades to be posted. Saw some of the negative reviews…thought I'd chime in. Excellent School, especially for a Veteran like me. Well organized, and if you need support, ask for it, it will be there. Accreditation is not an issue. If they weren't accredited, they couldn't take the GI bill. I found a job with a Fortune 10 company, and they accepted my degree just like any other. Whoever said that in the review down there is wrong. Very well organized class structures, easy to navigate interface, and hell, they even send you the books for the class you register for- automatically and at no additional cost. Not once did they fail to do that. Professors normally have a PHD or other terminal degree. Took a lot of classes, only had issues with one of them, and she's gone. Some were absolutely awesome. That said, it's adult learning. Not everyone gets an A on everything. Do the work, get the grade you earned based on the syllabus and rubric for that assignment…it's not complicated. I apply the things I learned in my classes to my work as a project manager. The direct relevance of the curriculum to today's business environment is outstanding. IF you are looking for a great online school, especially as a Veteran, this is the place.Bo Scott

ZERO STARS. Fun story…I hurried to get my credentials in, my post 9/11 GI Bill eligibility letter, etc to be enrolled, for less than a week. To my extreme dismay, as I had asked the appropriate advisor multiple times, my VA benefits were NOT fully given to me. The school will tell you that taking their 2 class maximum is considered “full time” status for you veterans out there, don’t let them fool you. You deserve every penny for your time served. To add to that, 1 of the 3 assignments I turned in before kicking this place to the curb, was graded on a persona level…meaning, I responded to what the assignment(discussion board) asked, yet because apparently my professor didn’t like my answer on a personal level, I was given less than a 100. It was a personal belief question and asking other students what made them join the class…who does that? How do you get an 87% on a pass/fail discussion board? Don’t let me review sway you. Do your own research and enroll if you like. If you are a veteran, continue your search elsewhere brothers and sisters. They just want you for the VA payments.Brandon Morton

Enjoyed the coursework – currently working on my MBA – until I reached the Business Ethics course. I am a college instructor and have several other degrees and went from making an A on every single assignment throughout the entire program to barely passing the Business Ethics course due to the instructor. He grades on pieces he doesn't ask for in the rubric and even has the gall to announce to the class that "we should not take offense to his grading". I fully agree with many of my classmates and several other people that have commented here that it's not the best option when choosing schools. There's a reason they schedule you to have this course at the very end when graduation is approaching – if you had this instructor first – no one would continue spending the money to attend the school.Amber Wolf

I completed the MOL Master Organizational Leadership program entirely online as a distant learner. My experience has been pretty pleasant, however some of the course material was out-dated so revisions has been made to the program offering a new specialization track for students to benefit from. My professors were Amazing minus two 😊😊, however I would say that they were bad I just think that sometimes differences of opinions should be respected. I actually excelled in the MOL Program and learned so much about l leadership. My only complaint is that my degree was mailed out to me in a card board envelop which is beyond shocking to me and an insult. I would prefer that my hard earned degree have been package in a hard Trevecca Nazarene University portfolio. First off, in the interest of full disclosure, I am a member of the class of ’75, so this is a truly ancient reflection. I transferred from a junior college in Fla. so I could continue my Aerospace major and receive a Bachelor’s degree. It was a wise decision. Classes were sized right, instructors truly dedicated and the people friendly. I have nothing but fond memories and good things to say about my experience. So what has happened in Murfreesboro since then? Well, according to the more recent alums I have talked to and this website, lots. To you who are now attending, my gosh I wish I had it so good. Dig up some old pics taken of the campus in the 70s. Notice any improvements? And the Aerospace Program- night and day difference. In short MTSU is doing a better job of educating its students and providing for their needs. Oh, to be young again. Of course it does seem there are some real issues that need to be addressed. The complaints about inept administration are distressing. Worse was the comment about crime- knife and gun- yikes! And then there is the common complaint running through all colleges (at least the ones my kids went to). Advisors don’t keep the students on track and the necessary courses aren’t available when they are needed. No excuses regarding the course availability, but by the time a student is a junior they should be able to read the college handbook and figure out what they need to graduate. I mean if they can’t … So, MT, as I believe you now like to call yourself, you have taken many steps forward and a few steps back. Keep up the good work.Al Phillips

Love this campus! There are good and bad professors, they have a lot of food choices, they have activities and events on campus all year around, the advisors in the Psychology department are very helpful especially Amy Foster, they also have a gym/rec center, just so much I like on the campus. There is only one thing I dislike is the parking…there is a lot of handicap parking and a lot in parking lots that are far away from classes that I noticed hardly anyone uses, and I feel it’s taking up a lot of space in the parking lots. Also they need to do Something about the parking in the MTSU lot a so that not a lot of water drains to the middle of the lot where people can’t park due to getting their shoes wet or getting stuck and fix the pot holes in that lot too! I attended class at MTSU last semester. Let me start by saying good luck during registration. I spend HOURS wasting my time to get told things were completer that weren't. I was required to pay extra fees because the school told me I could not begin classes unless I paid because of a mistake they made. During the middle of the semester I took a new job. I had to withdrawal from a class. I was told I would receive 25% of my paid tuition as a refund. This did NOT happen. No one is on the same page at this facility! I will be transferring schools due to my experience. I will state that the professors were good! Everything that happened negative had nothing to do with them. If you choose to go to school here, make sure people are not telling you what you want to hear. Make sure you double check everything!Michael Counter

I have been going to Saint Leo for almost 3 years, and I've had a pretty decent experience. I am a military student, and my online classes with Distance Learning were very understanding of that. However, when I took a class on campus, I had a teacher drop me the week before the end of class due to "lack of attendance" even though I informed him at the beginning of the semester of the days I would have duty. My assignments were all either ahead of schedule or on time for his class, and I immediately went from an A to an F, instead of him allowing the counselor to withdraw me from the class with my A. When I appealed, I was told that they saw no reason why my grade should be changed, since I could not provide copies of my work. Saint Leo uses online sites to submit homework, and once the class is over there is no way to access it. However, that was my only bad experience. I returned back to online classes, and I have received my Associate's. I am pursuing my Bachelor's. Although I am highly upset that I will have to retake and repay a class that I've already done well in, I won't completely judge this school based off one center. Saint Leo has accommodated me to get my degree, and they have several resources to assist you with research and tutoring for your classes. Also, the online advisors stay in touch with you and are very nice and welcoming. If you find that you can't go to school on campus, Saint Leo's Center for Online Learning may be the perfect school for you.Charittey Scott

Received my Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts back in October 2017. I’m still continuing my education with the Bachelors in Business Management program presently. I’m active military using funds through Tuition Assistance and have had no issues with the school. The Navy has been slow to pay on their part sometimes, but that’s not the school’s fault. Ultimately, the Navy pays the school and no problems occur. The past couple of classes I’ve taken they’ve paid on time. I’ve attended classes locally on base and online. I’ve found both to have their advantages and disadvantages, but usually do online. I can complete school work online faster if the class isn’t rigorous. I can usually get ahead by a week online. So being self-paced is a huge advantage. If it’s a subject I need better understanding in, then I’ll attend them locally if my Navy schedule permits it. I’m on sea duty and can be deployed any time, so that dictates my method of course delivery. If I can’t attend in person for a hard course, then I hold off until I can so I don’t jeopardize my GPA. Academic advisors on multiple bases have helped me out substantially though my professional development. I’ve progressed a lot at work thanks to Saint Leo. I hope they can continue to help me progress in my life endeavors. My time spent with Saint Leo hasn’t been a waste and hope they can continue to help others develop.Yesaj A

I graduated from Saint Leo in 2009 and graduated with a History and International Studies degree. I lived in apartment 4 and they were fairly new so at the time, getting them was great. It is now 2017 and I still talk to my room mates to this day. They are my absolute best friends. The education I received was top notch professors were easy to sit down with and chat with, they were all very open and personable. Not only that, because of the connections the professors had with jobs and internship opportunities, it was easy to network with others ultimately achieving your dream job. They really do help and care about helping you towards getting what you need to eventually get where you want to go. Class sizes were small (some ranged from 2-6 in my degree courses). The most people that ever were in a class was probably 25 for classes like Ernie Williams Philosophy class. The technology in classrooms is the best I've used considering my experiences at other universities. Also, can I say how important it is to have access to printing and tutoring resources so easily? The campus is absolutely resort like and looking back I probably took it for advantage, but now with the new construction that have been done…it really is picturesque. I don't regret coming here at all and recommend it to everyone interested in obtaining their degree in person and online.holly smith

I recently graduated from the Transport Training located on the Neosho campus and loved the whole experience. When I first learned that I was going there I was a natural sceptic, but only because I never knew that a "Community College" would actually have so much to offer. While I was there training for my Missouri CDL exam I lived on campus at RoughRider Village. Everyone I ever came into contact with on campus was always friendly and helpful. Crowder allowed me the opportunity to never again judge a school by its name. I had full access of course to all of the many resources that Crowder offers and I used them on a daily basis. The Library was the perfect place to round out my day of training. And by the end of my course, I was wanting it to last another 3 or 4 weeks. The staff for the transport training program were absolutely Great! They were able to make it a very fun and exciting learning experience. And no, it's not all driving. There are many things to learn in order to become a professional driver, not much different that many other fields of study. I was so impressed with the school, that I am currently in the process of trying to get a new set of classes started later this year, by utilizing the Online Programs and partnerships that are currently being offered at Crowder. I would recommend this school to anyone who is considering any of the programs they offer. They also have a top notch athletic program. I encourage you to give them a fair chance when deciding on your school. And for the record I traveled many states to attend Crowder, and will be recommending it for years to come. Lastly I want to say thank you again to all the staff at Crowder, you folks should be used as the standard. And just so everyone knows Ms. Peggy in the cafeteria cooks everything with lots of love. I absolutely loved the cafeteria and all of the many choices they provide daily. So check them out if you really want a great school. I believe you too will be surprised. My experience at Crowder College was great until recently. I have been a student for awhile. I attended on campus at Mac County, and then transferred to online when I moved to Oklahoma because I enjoyed the college that much. The reason I'm posting only two stars is because of how I was treated by a woman named Robin in Financial Aide. As a student in general, I would hope to never be talked down to by any advisor at Crowder College. I have a few mental health issues including anxiety. I'm also on the spectrum for ASD. This woman belittled me, and made me feel completely incompetent because I clicked a wrong button on my FASFA, and instead of explaining this to me politely or helping me fix it, I was forced to write out a letter explaining that I had made a mistake and had issues and had to sign it to return to the Financial Aide office before she would simply fix the small mistake I made. When I brought this to the attention of my college advisor he informed the appropriate people and told me it would be taken care of. This whole experience has made me never want to use Crowder again. I felt embarrassed, belittled, and stupid by this woman. I will not be returning to Crowder ever again unfortunately.Zoie Vickery

Okay, my initial review was based upon the ease of transition from high school to college my child was given. And, for the next couple of months it went well. Without going into specific detail, I watched our confident, adventurous child become a withdrawn, sullen depressed person. When I approached her about that she said she tried to get help from the college, but they told her she was pretty much on her own. They told me the same thing. The only reason she is there now is because the vocational school attached to the college is in her field. We moved her off the campus and into an apartment and she is doing much better. Removed with no explanation other than receiving more loan money than they were supposed to give, an error on the University's part, not to mention if your opinion differs of that from other students and they become hostile the HR will do nothing for you as a student, class times are not flexible and they have put a hold on my transfer credits without explanation. In other words the communication from this university is terrible and would highly suggest against going if you have other options because anywhere that will not drop you in a moment's notice is better than this university.Ben Y

First off, the campus itself is in poor condition. The sidwalks are cracked, and the stairs are worn and a tripping hazard. If you are physically disabled, be warned, there is hardly no disabled access aroud campus. The elevators are used by those who are athletic and can walk perfectly fine, but crowd out those in wheelchairs…. Didn't have a safe campus I got followed home by men so did other girls. I wanted to leave after the first semester because my grandmother was dying and they said it wasn't a good enough reason for me to leave and not finish the year and made me pay for a semester I didn't take. I am very disappointed at this school. I'm about halfway through my online RN-BSN program and I have always worked hard on all my courses. I have managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA up to now, but I don't know how this is going to continue. It has never been easy to do schoolwork while working as a nurse and having family and obligations at home, but I have always done it. The syllabus for the new course starting a week from now outlines a tremendous amount of work. I mean, several weeks will have 4 assignments. This is the opposite of what they advertise online and everywhere. This is not a university for people who are working and trying to balance work, life, and a degree. This is called false advertising. I agree with another reviewer who said, if you want to work yourself to death and not see your family, and not have any time at all for anything else but school – this is the school for you. I'm very disappointed at realizing the amount of work and these many assignments every week. Like I said, I'm not one that is trying to slack and procrastinate, and not do any work, and still get a degree. That is absolutely not me. I'm a hard worker but I still need to sleep at least a few hours a day, and work, and care for my family, and work on school. It is not only school in people's lives. Yes, it is important to get a degree, but there is not only school in life. When they advertise "manageable coursework, this is the school where people who work and can get their degree, at SNHU students have a good school/life balance" Please, stay away and do not believe it. It is not true. The amount of work for this 3-credit course of an undergraduate degree is absolutely insane. I must say that this is not a capstone course. Not sure I will be as successful this term. Very disappointed. I e-mailed my advisor about my concerns. Received an email that basically minimizes my all my concerns and generalizes "I know that all students make sacrifices to get their degrees." "Deans, students, and instructors know that this course is very heavy." Sorry. I am stuck now that I'm halfway through but if you have a choice, look for another university. I regret not choosing Capella University. Very disappointed. Other negative aspects are the fact that instructors want you to follow the rubric, but they don't understand it themselves. Poor communication when you ask for clarification. Poor feedback that fails to point out what to correct. Inconsistencies in grading. The most repetitive assignments that you can ever think of. They require you to repeat the same thing 20 times on the same paper in order to generate more pages or to make the assignment longer. Do yourself a favor and reconsider your choices.cubamorena

I received my bachelors degree in 2020 from SNHU. This experience was not horrible. I decided to continue having researched both SNHU and MSU for my MBA in Project Management. First couple of classes went very well and very smooth. Hit a class where the instructor passed off that they have zero authority over assignments and can’t deter from the rubric. Ok not what was asked but asked for clarification of coachback notes as they were written in a way you can’t understand, referenced things not about my personal paper and instructor couldn’t even expand on what to correct. I can handle criticism but if I need clarification isn’t that what an instructor is for? Not one question asked was answered. Went through the dispute process and the university of course refused to help or do anything. Why would they take ownership and accountability??? And they actually concurred with the notes provided by the instructor that even my advisor mentioned was not clear and not how she as an instructor would reply to a student. This university is absolutely not with using for a graduate degree. I am stuck since I am over 1/2 way done. Wouldn’t make sense to change schools now. Heed my warnings. Run!!David Voelker

The process of enrolling is very outdated and inconvenient. You don’t have a actually portal like most schools do that you watch your process flow. You depend on a advisor and callling all the time to get all info needed. If you’re lucky not to be the one of the chosen few to get picked to have a extra verification done. You have to send it photocopy of id, a utility bill, and notarized document. They requested a notarized document to verify my address then told me I couldn’t upload it, that it had to be mailed. The only reason I found out that document had to be mailed is when I called to ask why it couldn’t be uploaded. Their process is outdated and very inconvenient and really not consistent. I wouldn’t recommend this school for anyone just because of the process now it puts me in the predicament to find a new school to start at the last minute.Trice Bruce

I've been going to this school for about 5 years now, and time and time again I've struggled with dealing with the various financial aid and business departments losing my paperwork so I very nearly couldn't pay for school multiple times. Also there is a huge problem with teachers who either don't care when they teach, or care too much and are so strict no student can pass adequately. The campus itself seems beautiful at first, but things are constantly broken and left that way for months at a time. Their website, both the public one and the one for students, is difficult to navigate and a lot of their information is out of date or useless and it keeps going down without warning. If you are transferring to the school, don't even bother. It is pretty much guaranteed that they will lose your paperwork and many of your credits that you were supposed to be able to keep. Overall, its not very student friendly and I really regret staying here.Sleepy

So I'm on the middle of the road with this college. I had gone here for years, but suffered a seizure back in Spring 2019. This caused me to withdraw from all my classes since I had no way to catch up before midterms, which were happening the week of my return. I now cannot return to classes, and finish my last bit of my associates, until I pay back APSU themselves. Now it's understandable that they hold my transcripts until it's paid, but unreasonable that the payments they make cannot be lower. What made APSU so great, to me, was their art department. I loved all the professors that taught here, and they did care about my well-being when I did have my seizure. Even more core-classed professors did their hardest to work around my recovery. It's just a shame that I cannot return to college until I pay the college themselves back when I am unable to even begin the payment due to my income.Jessica Watson

THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY!!!!!! Not people. I attended a Track Meet for High School students at this sorry excuse of a university and of course they charged money. That's fine. But it was a rainy day and there is a "Club" area that is the only area covered. Being that it wasn't a College event no "Club" members were present so parents and kids were taking shelter there. THEY shut down the Track meet to kick those families out of this area and when asked why THEY stated that's just the decision they made. THEY said this to my face while I'm holding my 2 year old girl in my arms. I was visiting from Michigan to see my son run in Tennessee so I didn't want to just miss it. This shows just how they feel about people at this University. Terrible people here. I wish I got the name of the main coach doing the speaking so I could put her heartless self on blast.Justin Davis

I highly recommend Fortis College. This college truly wants their students to succeed in all aspects. This college has helped me find a job while I was a student. They also work so very hard to get you prepared and employed upon completion of the program. That alone is a huge relief on any student. Every single instructor that I had, truly made an impact and were always willing to go the extra mile. I also wanted to recognize 2 special individuals who helped me along my journey as a Dental Assistant student. Both Mrs.Peterson and Ms.Green have truly been phenomenal throughout my course of being a student. They truly take their time to allow their students to understand step by step what they are learning. I can assure you I asked numerous questions and they patiently helped assist until I understood. Not only are they excellent instructors (Mrs.Peterson Director too), they took the time to get to know us individually and even listened to our worries and even issues that we faced outside of class. They both have kept me level headed when I made mistakes and also made learning fun. Overall, I am grateful for my experience at Fortis College. I am happy to also include that all the hard work and support from the school has helped me obtain my Diploma in the Dental Assistant Program. My experience at fortis has been more than amazing . With such a beautiful and welcoming staff I just had to write a view . I’ve been doing Penn Foster online schooling for almost a whole year now. I’ve found this online experience a great one. They are very helpful in all ways possible. I’ve called a few time and their stuff is helpful and kind. They help so much with the questions you ask and reassurance you need. You go at your own past, fast, or as slow as you want. I’ve struggled so much in the past with schools , I’ve been to over 6+ schools and I started at the point have an IEP/ taking classes for it. Penn Foster online High School, has helped me understand so much and I love how I can learn at my own past. The price is also reasonable. I can stay up till 3AM and do my work. I’ve finished a class in a whole week at times. I’d stay really hard. Not only that Penn Foster always keeps you up to date on thing that are happening with your account. I am the mother of two students at Penn Foster who just graduated. They are 15 and 17 years of age. They were placed in Penn Foster due to being bullied by teachers at their local school. My oldest enrolled with 0 credits in Oct of 2019 and my youngest enrolled with 7 credits in June of 2020. My oldest graduated Dec 07, 2020 and my youngest graduated Dec 23. 2020. They loved that they could go as slow or as fast as the wanted. They loved not having a schedule or having to have any interactions with teachers. Their overall experience was great. I have one more student, my 16 year old step-daughter working on it now. She's 41% done. We also have a 14 year old who will be enrolling once done with 8th grade. Although this is a Nationally Accredited school most Regionally Accredited colleges and university will be able to transfer most of your credits. That is if you are taking a degree program and not a diploma program. After obtaining some super computer skills from Remington College my career path has changed completely. Remington College can give a person the skills necessary to go out and dominate in the workforce over those that simply have a general education background from some American public school. I would definitely recommend Remington College to those that think traditional universities will not work for them.Daniel White

Currently enrolled in the Shreveport campus and although i cant speak for the other campuses, they teachers here are wonderful and actually take the time to do one-on-one time if your failing or need it. The instructors are very knowledgeable in their field and enjoy what they do. They understand that life gets in the way sometimes and they work with you to make sure you are understanding the material and assure you that if you are dedicated and you take it one day at a time than you can achieve anything.
