Does anyone get the feeling that many of these 5 star reviews are ingenuine? I attended Provo College for 2 semesters in 2011. I believe at the time they only offered an Associates for nursing, not a BSN. The tuition was very expensive, but they sit you down 1 on 1 with someone who gets you started on loans. At the time it seemed great that they were so helpful, but l later realized it was benefitting them more than me…which is why they make that part of the process so easy for students. I ended up leaving because the financial aid ended after 2 semesters and I didn't want $60k of debt for a 2 year nursing degree. The other thing that I didn't like was even though I was paying them insane tuition, they would have us come to a classroom for remote learning from Utah State University. This means you might take a math course from them and pay 3 grand, or however much it costs for one class, but you are basically doing it online/remote through USU…but you're paying way more than if you just went to USU. I later went to UVU and was able to compare the anatomy course I did at PC versus what students said it was like at UVU, and the course at UVU held students to a much higher standard. After a short personal experience at this college, and the ability to compare it to the other colleges I've attended, I wouldn't recommend it.Derek Drennan
I am about to finish my first year of nursing school. I have really enjoyed my experience here at Provo College. One of the the many things that I like about this program is the faculty. The faculty really gets to know you and you aren't just another number in the classroom. Each of them know me personally and even call me by my nickname. The faculty really wants you to succeed in the program. Tudors are made available to you if you are having problems in a course at no extra cost to you. Currently as a nursing program we are working on a service project, where we are making blankets for a local pediatrics unit. This is a great program that I would highly recommend! Call the school and schedule a tour. You wont regret it!Michael Woodbury
Provo College is such a great school!! The faculty, staff, and program administrators are totally invested in the students. I felt a genuine sense of caring from everyone there the first time I visited the campus- even the campus president took time to introduce himself and get to know me a little. The nursing program is amazing – all of my friends in the program had great internships, passed the NCLEX test the first time and have found fantastic jobs they love. The other programs are amazing also. I can't say enough good about this school!!!Staci

Review Summary
School here is nice and if you need something cheap, but UVU reinforces the comment that "University education is becoming less valuable." Half my professors were either teaching here their first time, didn't speak English, or had no expertise in their subject. I passed 2 years of credits by watching videos and drawing pictures during class: not because I'm smart, but because there was no content. Like in high school, many of the professors have 30% percent of their grade centered around attendance. Not participation, but attendance. So yes, I ignored class because everything I needed for an A was provided online. I'm typing this now during Philosophy class, and I am not missing anything. Books are hardly ever used but are "required" according to the professors. They gather dust on my shelf. Most problems here need to be fixed across the nation not just UVU, but I am a very frustrated student in my twenties because I don't know where my money is going. Teachers aren't happy with pay and all have second jobs. The building and resources are really really nice but I rarely need to use them since the internet was invented. UVU in general education has the same quality as Khan Academy except here, there is a physical address they want you to come to. There is a good range of food options but mostly crowded into the same building. Parking is ridiculous and there is no reason to pay $90 a year for the clustered insanity that the school created. Use the darn money to hire a civil engineer for God's sake. Once you pass general education and focus in to better classes, the rooms get nicer and the teaching quality doubles. Don't come here if you're not willing to graduate. Location is fine other than the city planning on the busiest road outside. If you're coming from the south east your drive will be dangerous, traffic is terrible and construction has been in effect for 4 years now. Very annoying. Train station is very convenient and is likely your best choice if you have a transportation method to your nearest station. Students who work feel punished because rent in the area is high, and pay low. Scholarships are handed to those without jobs first, those who aren't working for rent and tuition are the ones handed money from the school. Afternoon/Night classes are poor in options and schedule so working at a volatile job is ever more of a punishment. (Data from a few friends and strangers) Many activities, but the activities most advertised in my buildings were focused for helping women, about guest speakers, for the LGBT community, or cost $15. So I've never been to one, though free lectures and speeches are common. Overall, UVU focuses on medium-to-low education and welcoming everyone with open arms. But once you're here, you may want to transfer to BYU or drop out entirely.Isaac Benge
Coming here was the best decision I have ever made. Every single professor cares about my learning and the fact that the average class size is 23 (I’ve never had a class over 25) makes it so my teachers know me, know my name, know what type of student I am, and some even came to my wedding! I have also been incredibly impressed with the resources. You would have to TRY to fail at UVU, because they truly make it so easy to succeed. From job resources, free tutoring, professor office hours, financial aid and scholarships, and everything in between I honestly feel like every single person I talk to wants me to succeed. The campus is amazing and INDOORS like seriously it is the best part of campus. Shorts in the winter and pants in the summer. Sure parking can be hard, but you are 100% going to find that at any university and it is really only bad after 10am so if you have classes before that you will be fine. The social life is great and the activities are fun and well attended. Free food at all times and tons of on campus food options. I honestly feel like the education I received is worth a million times more than what the tuition is (one of the lowest in the nation for a university). UVU focuses on Engaged Learning, or learning by doing, and most my classes don’t even have textbooks or tests, just projects and resume building it’s amazing. Add that to the fact that it is open enrollment and you can see why it is the largest university in the state. Seriously. Come take a tour at least and see how awesome UVU is.Justine Rupprecht
In all honesty do NOT go here, if you have a better option do not come to this college, it is a over glorified high school. They aren't too expensive which is nice, but they charge many other ways, you must pay to take tests if you are not there the first day, they offer no flexibility when taking classes especially if you are working full time. The professors are 50/50 you either get great ones that work with you, answer quickly to your emails, and are awesome. Or you get awful ones that only two kids pass their class, they will put you on academic probation which I don't get because I am paying to go to school here, so why does it bother them if I failed one class because the professor was awful. In all honesty if you have a better option DO NOT GO HERE! I have never been so frustrated with a school before in my life.Kyra McMillan

Review Summary
Pretty awful education experience. The vast majority of professors are terrible teachers. In fact, it's apparent they care more about their research that the school funds, than the actual students and the material they are teaching. So many teachers seem to have the mindset that "Oh, if these students aren't as passionate about this topic as I am, they are going to fail." Of course, there are a few incredible teachers, but they are few and far between. Not to mention, that a large population of the students act extremely entitled and judgy. Kinda of ironic, considering the school is owned and funded by a church that claims to have the most accurate understanding of Jesus Christ. Attending the school is incredibly cheap, however, to which I will praise. The opportunity to make it through school without any debt is a massive help for many. That being said, plan on changing your major multiple times, because almost every program is extremely competitive and very very difficult to get into. This is a school where dreams are quite literally crushed under the weight of academic pressure and prestige.Jacob Heiner
AMAZING!!! BYU runs one of the largest, if not the largest, comprehensive summer youth sports program in the country. They consistently draw student athletes from all over Utah, the Intermountain West, The Unites States and even have a number of international athletes every year. We have sent our own kids for 5+ years in multiple sports. They love it!! They love the week long sport specific camps, the housing option, the friends, camp counselors, student coaches, meals at the Canon Center and ice cream at the creamery store. Try it, you won’t be disappointed :).Ben Johnson
This is a large campus with a number of different facilities. I love that there is no charge for the Bean museum or the Paleontology museum. The creamery makes just about the BEST I've cream I've ever tasted. The Wilkinson Student Center has a bowling alley and am extensive good court and more. Love the Arts center and basically find there is too much here to tell about, but it's worth a visit just to explore the campus. Love the bell concerts at noon.Leona Keesling

My child has been at MHA since 7th grade and is now completing his 1th grade year. We made the change to online learning because my son lacked motivation, didn't seem challenged, and I felt too much time was spent at school and not with family. I have had people tell me that online school is lacking and that my son will have issues when he transitions to in-person classes for college. That he will struggle socially. They were wrong! My son had a 4.0 going into this year (11th grade). Because of what people had said, I was worried when he decided to take some concurrent enrollment college classes and a few in-person classes at the local high school this year – including debate with involving also being on the debate team. He not only handled those non-MHA classes, but he aced them. He also received 4.0s in his first college classes. With the college credits and his honors classes, his GPA is now over a 4.0. He is leading his debate team and is competing at the state championship this weekend. He also was awarded a fully expense paid trip to Washington DC this spring by MHA . MHA has given him so much more than he could of gotten anywhere elsewhere. It's allowed us to still travel often as a family, it's taught my son how to be self-reliant and he's a more confident and happier child today. He loves learning!! He’ll be applying to universities this summer/fall, and I have no doubt he's well prepared for higher education. In response to another reply: MHA never bothers me with any excess communication. I get a weekly email that shows my sons grades and how much time he's spent on classes.Besides that the only occasional emails are notifications of events. Occasionally I get a call or email from a teacher sharing something my son did worth praise- I love that! If they make time for that, I‘m positive I would hear from the if he was struggling.Rebecca G
Mountain Heights Academy got my son through high school. They not only "got him through" but thoroughly prepared him for his next step. I so appreciate the principal allowing him to transfer in under extenuating circumstances and especially the special education department (he had an IEP) and teachers for taking him under their wing, figuring out his needs, and helping him learn how to communicate and stay on track, not getting behind. Also appreciate the counseling department who helped him learn about his adult options (school, work, etc). We appreciated the variety of classes offered as well as the way they were offered. For my son, who much prefers being outdoors than indoors, Mountain Heights was a great solution. I really can't say enough about how impressed I was with the counselor who meet with him regularly to explore his options, really taking time to help him figure out what he wants to do after high school and then teaching him how to do it, how to reach out and contact people, what the next steps are. He went in as a reluctant, quiet student who was just trying to fly under the radar to survive but has emerged confident in moving forward, confident in his choices, steady and grounded, knowing how to advocate for himself and feeling hopeful about his future. It's a wonderful thing to see and such a relief as a parent to have that kind of care and support from a team of administration, teachers, counseling, and special education. Thank you so much!Jill Wilson
I was at my wits end on what I could do to help my son be successful in school and not be bullied or targeted while doing it. I found Mountain Heights Academy by way of a friend and enrolling my son in this school was by far the best thing I could have done. The teachers and administration are great to work with, very helpful and focus on doing what is best for my son. The teachers go above and beyond to make sure that his successes are often and they celebrate even the smallest of accomplishments. I could not be more happy with an online program as I was with this school, and recommend it to anyone who needs something different for their children than traditional brick and mortar schools. You can not go wrong with this school, the staff or the administration.Monica Myers

I was very happy with Kris Jackson she did my tour and always answered me when I had any questions. I started in January of 2021 still in the mist of COVID. I had a good experience, be prepared NOTHING IS EASY you have to study study study. I feel like most of the teachers there really do want to see you do good and will genuinely try to do a lot to help. I struggled a lot but there is always tutoring and someone willing to help. With every school comes drama that has nothing to do with school but just to know. There’s a lot of commitment when signing up so just know what your getting yourself into. The school teaches you a lot you need to know and has plenty of resources if you need more help. Only thing I wish I knew was more things that we could’ve been taught for the “real world” like a lot we get taught we need to know but there is some small things we have to know like trying to find veins by ourself or little tricks other than that I had a good experience. I would recommend if you are able to commit to a long hard program it is very rewarding in the long end.Emily Pham
As a former graduate of VTI and soon to be practicing veterinarian medicine for about a year I cannot thank the staff and mentors enough for caring and teaching me the skills that I use in everyday practice. They were always so thoughtful and there when you needed a helping hand wether it was something as big as tutoring before all classes started or as small as just small words of advice to keep students going through the program. The classes are geared towards exactly what you need to know and all the teachers seem to be very knowledgeable in which subjects they teach. If you are as lucky as me throughout the program you may even adopt your own 4 legged bestfriend you met during kennel duty!! 🙂Haidyn Craig
The Vet Tech Institute is an incredible school that teaches the reality of the animal career field. It teaches self discipline, personal instinct to trust, and an incredible amount of respect for the workers in any animal field. The staff are so incredibly patient and truly show their passion to teach and to love the animals we work with on an everyday basis. Being able to work with animals everyday in class only better creates a self confidence that has to be grown. This institute ensured me a successful career working with animals that no other school could do. I happily recommend it to anyone who is driven and ready to put in the work!Kelcey Harris

I love this School. I love how the classes are small and if I ever needed help there was always someone willing to go the extra mile for me. Now a lot of past reviews were before they got almost a entirely new staff. The administration and instructors that are here help me feel supported any time I had an issue going on with school or at home someone was always willing to listen and guide me. I have been going here 18 months and will graduate the end of this year. There have been a lot of changes that have made it was a little chaotic but Crystal and Jaimee have been doing a lot to help students out that truly seek it. When the general classes switched online I freaked out like many not thinking I was competent enough to do online classes but I have succeed. Any time I had a question on a online class a instructor at the school was willing to help me if they couldn't they would find someone who could. I go to the instructors and staff here about any question I have no matter how small they never make feel bad for asking it because they understand we are students that are here to learn. Now I did here horror stories about some instructors that I never ended up having because they did leave before I had their classes so I can not speak on how those other instructors really were but the ones that are here now are very supportive and the ones I had the last 18 months were awesome.Audrianna Millan
Broadview University is not what it used to be. This place has gone down hill since the new dean, Amanda Babcock, enter its halls. I have watched really great teachers leave for better opportunities and I miss them dearly. Now they hire less than third rate people to teach and can't even do the class themselves. This doesn't apply a few good teachers who have been there a long time. But keep all your other options open before coming here. I stood up to right a wrong situation, and today I have learned that they punished the student I was trying to protect. I can no longer support such an unjust school. Because I tried to do what is right, a good person believe that their dream is now lost. I only wish I knew how to convince Matt Gephardt to investigate this school for their malpractices.Tony Meredith
If I could give zero stars I would. Broadview University is NOT regionally accredited! I was told, when starting at Broadview that they were accredited, and that all of my credit hours for courses taken would be transferable, should I go on to a different university to complete my Bachelors Degree. They lied to me, and now that I am going back to school, at the University of Utah, I've been informed that none of the credits I received for classes taken for my Associates Degree at Broadview count towards my Bachelors Degree. Don't go to school here. It's not any cheaper than going to another university, and at least at a real university your credit hours will count for something.Carolyn Larsen

In 15 years with multiple pets and vets (in both SoCal and UT) I have never found as amazing of a vet as Dr. Kate at Powder Paws. We live about 30 minutes away and our closest clinic was booked out almost 3 months for oral surgeries and several weeks for just an appointment. Our vet recommended seeing if Dr. Kate had any availability. It was literally the best thing he could have ever done, we were able to be seen within days and surgery scheduled that week. Dr. Kate listened to all of my questions and spoke to me with kindness, not with the brush off that many vets have given. Everything about the procedure was explained to me in detail. I left feeling assured that my 12 year old Bella would be in great hands. On the day of surgery, Dr. Kate called me personally afterwards and detailed how it went, going over all the steps taken and post op instructions. The office is modern and clean, and has a separate cat vs dog side which as a cat mom, is super important. They’re also a certified “cat friendly” clinic. Everyone we spoke with at the front desk was super warm and welcoming, both in person and on the phone. I was charged a fair price and felt like I was not nickeled and dimed for unnecessary fees like at some national owned chains like VCA. Bella is doing amazing post op and I know she’s going to feel better with all those bad teeth out. Thank you, Dr. Kate and everyone at Powder Paws that took care of us. Don’t tell our cats, but they’ll probably have to take a 30 minute car ride now up the mountain now that we’ve found you guys 🙂Campbell Smith
I'm from out of state and needed to get in right away. Powder Paws saw to it that this happened and from the phone call to make our appointment to leaving the visit, I was above and beyond impressed. Even the receipt process was more thorough than I have ever seen. Each part of my pets visit was explained in detail along with charges, who my pet had been seen by and what they recommend next. Unfortunately the process for my pets care has only just begun but fortunately, Powder Paws will be there to see she gets everything she needs. I am EXTREMELY appreciative for their whole staff and the excellent care given to my pet. Will definitely recommend to anyone in the Salt Lake/Park City area!!!Julie Carnosso
From the minute I called to make an appointment, through to the end of my dog's checkup, everything was phenomenal at Powder Paws. We live in LA but I would definitely come here for all of my dog's checkups from now on. Brandy did the intake over the phone and even called our vet back in LA to get his records. She was incredibly professional. Chloe did our intake the day of our visit and was extremely friendly. And when Jess the vet technician and Dr. Kirkpatrick came in, they took the time to discuss everything and made me (and my doggo) feel so well taken care of! You won't find a better veterinary clinic.Sharon Cerrell Levy

The worst group of teachers & counselors I have ever experienced. When a student has trouble passing classes they take over and over and over…says something about those teachers. I only know of one person graduating in 5 years from this school. I do not recommend this school, it's a waste of time and money.Linda Sorenson
It's a difficult program and not for everyone. That being said I love the small class sizes and hands on learning that I have received. I appreciate how the whole staff including the financial aid department are available to help you succeed. I am so happy that I took the opportunity to get my education here.Ginger Pospisil
Terrible program, the cost is easily 4x more than anywhere else and the knowledge they offer is no more than a basic 6 week long course. They say that you can receive college credit at their program. That is a lie. If you are looking to be a vet tech I would stay clear of this "school"Mark Glass

We were new to Park City and our beloved 13 1/2 year old Golden Retriever was failing. We took her for a walk and she collapsed. The closest vet was Bark City. We got there with no appointment and they took us in immediately. They gave our pup a thorough physical exam and offered us their best diagnosis. We knew the day was coming when we'd have to make this tough decision about putting her down. All I can say is that I couldn't have imagined better care given our circumstances. They handled all of us with compassion. We were so grateful for their help in this very tough process. When I told them we would be back because, we will be getting another dog. Dr. Ashley Hechler said "well, I hope not." It was then that she told me they were a veterinary specialists hospital and they treated dogs with major problems. And yet they helped us! We won't forget their kindness, ever. Thank you again Bark City. Thank you.Claire Allison
Our dog Ollie had knee surgery yesterday with Dr. Stephen Jones at Bark City Veterinary Specialists, and he doesn’t even ski. Dr. Jones and his surgical staff, particularly including Aubree, took fantastic care of Ollie before, during, and after the surgery. A lot of investigation went in to the decision to have Bark City do the surgery. Ultimately we decided this organization had the right surgeon and the right staff and equipment to ensure that the surgery would have a positive outcome. We’re only in day two of recovery so far, but we feel secure that Ollie will fully regain the use of his left back leg and go back to his active life once again. Just as important as finding the most knowledgeable vet was our certainty that Ollie will have great follow up during the eight week process until he regains full use of his knee. Park City is fortunate to have one of the most up-to-date animal surgeries in the US.allan ainsworth
Our puppy got into a accident that could not be repaired by our regular vet. He recommended Dr. Jones to us. He told us that he was keeping in contact with Dr. Jones and that he was more than capable to help us. We set up an appointment and right away the technicians and other staff were very helpful and got us in right away. They answered all of our questions and even were patient with us trying to get our finances together. Dr. Jones honestly explained the injury and what he is going to do in surgery. We felt that our dog was safe and in good care. Dr. Jones was amazing to answer any questions or concerns we had. Even after the surgery, they gave us detailed instructions on how to aid his recovery. We are so grateful for Dr. Jones and the staff in helping our puppy. Thank you Bark City!Mari Padilla

I don't write reviews, I usually let bad service be and move on but this is bad. This Vet has messed up multiple times with my dog maple. First I picked her up from getting spayed and her wound was wide open. Yes, WIDE OPEN. They also mentioned to me at this point that they had accidentally vaccinated her again, even though she had been vaccinated a couple weeks prior. “But don’t worry, we won’t charge you.” Now, my dog maple has juvenile cataracts, her eyes swell and hurt her terribly. Like she’s visibly in pain. They won’t fill the prescription for an anti inflammatory drop, because they want me to go to the pet ophthalmologist, again (which is easily $500 a visit) to make sure she indefinitely needs the drops. EVEN THOUGH the ophthalmologist has already told us that she’ll need the drops for the rest of her life, with or with out the cataract surgery. Which is $10,000 with a 20%-30% chance she’ll still go blind, so we opted not to do that yet. If we miss a dose her eyes start to swell immediately and paying $500 every 6 months for the other vet to tell me nothing has changed is asinine. They’re taking the choice of health care from us as pet owners and care takers and it stinks like profit driven BS. Edit, Maple is also running out of said anti-inflammatory drops and we can't get more in time, even if we did CHOOSE to go see the ophthalmologist. Next week her eyes will swell up and she'll lose the rest of the eye sight she does have. I'll be moving all my business somewhere else.Randall Laird
I don't often take the time to write reviews, but I was really impressed by this vet. I couldn't get my cat an appointment at my regular vet until 2:00 the next day and I was really worried about him. Payson Family Pet Hospital was able to see us in a couple of hours. They were so kind to us and brought a water dish to see if they could get my cat to drink. It's the little things that make this vet above and beyond other vets. Wait time was ok. The vet tech Megan and Dr. Cannon explained things in a way I could understand and were very patient with my million questions. I could tell they wanted to get the whole picture of my cat's history and current condition with their thorough questions. I truly felt like my cat was in good hands when I left him there that night. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for my sweet kitty, who passed away the next morning, but I am confident they did everything they could to save him. Both Dr. Cannon and Dr. Conrad called me to keep me updated and to express their condolences. The receptionist, Erica, was so sweet and took so much time with me explaining my options for private cremation, etc. I'm so grateful for their kindness to me and my pet during this hard time. I will be bringing all my cats here from now on.Karina Feuerlein
My 'regular' vet has refused to see us twice now in an emergency. They did that were just too busy and couldn't shuffle the schedule at all. They actually recommended we call Payson Family Pet Hospital. I had a great experience at Payson, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The doctor was super friendly and explained everything as we went along, and she had a great bedside manner with our cat. You could trek she really cared about animals. Even though it's a little further away, I think I will be making Payson Family Pet Hospital our primary care provider for our pets.T.J. O

I found Vet Med Consultants through googling how to laser bladder stones for my dog, Tiki. My 5 year old Yorkie was diagnosed with a bladder stone through our vet and recommended surgery. I wanted to find a minimally invasive procedure for my dog as he had a bladder stone removed surgically 2 years before. It was such a big surgery and I didn’t want to put him through that again….I wanted to find something that would be the least painful and invasive for him. I called them to get more information on Bladder Stones Laser Lithotripsy and Amber was so beyond amazing. She answered my many, many questions and walked me through what would happen. We drove up 4 hours to get there and the office was so nice and clean. The staff were so sweet and comforting. They again walked me through what would be happening and told me Dr. Watkins would call me before the procedure. Dr. Watkins was so caring and nice and answered all my questions and concerns. He walked me through the entire procedure so I knew what was going to happen. When we went to pick up Tiki, I got paperwork of what procedure included, what stone they found, and post care instructions. Dr. Watkins and Katrina, the technician, explained post after care and medicines. What I love is they print out and email you this information to have on hand which is great I as sometimes I forgot. They also sent all of Tiki’s information over to my primary vet. Tiki was up and around the next day like nothing even happened!! This procedure is night and day between surgery removal for bladder stone. Again I can’t praise Vet Med enough for taking care of Tiki! I just have to say thank you again to Dr. Watkins and his staff for the amazing care of my precious fur baby and I highly recommend them!!Aspen
Dr. Watkins, Amber and the rest of their staff are fabulous! Our Golden Retriever puppy was born with Ectopic Ureters – a problem with her anatomy causing her to leak urine all the time. We saw our vet who recommended a vet specialist who then recommended Dr Watkins for his expertise in correcting her abnormal anatomy. Dr Watkins spent a lot of time with us and answered all our questions. He explained why our puppy was continuously leaking urine and then he described in detail the options for treatment, including risks, benefits, and outcomes of each option. Usually this involves a big surgery, but he is specially trained to do this procedure through a scope and we were able to take her “home” to our hotel the same day! (We stayed in a hotel for an extra day, “Just in case.” Our puppy did so well that we were headed home the next day.) We drove over 1,000 miles to Salt Lake City since no one in our state was trained to do this procedure. Dr Watkins and his team were definitely worth every mile of the trip! We highly recommend Dr Watkins and his staff at VetMed Consultants in Holladay, Utah!Kristen Saathoff
We called in asking about a cancer consultation for our fur baby Penny. From the moment they picked up the phone, they treated us with sympathy, understanding and giving us hope. They were able to fit us in for a CT scan to assess the degree of damage and the amount of spread much sooner than anywhere else. The vet also stayed in the office later than I ever would have asked him to in order to go over the scans with us and comfort us when it wasn't the news we were hoping for. We've had great vet experiences elsewhere, but none compare to the love and compassion of this office. While we are sad about our baby's diagnosis, we couldn't ask for more from this amazing team of people! Love, Penny and her parents.Brittney Loose

Looking for a new vet. This practice has many good reviews, and I'm sure they provide is good service from a clinical standpoint. However, having looked over some recent reviews (and responses!)– common courtesy could certainly be improved. I normally take negative reviews with more than a grain of salt— unless there is a pattern. These negative reviews complain about rudeness. Well, you can't please them all, but if anyone is wondering, just take a look at the owner's responses. Some are defensive, some are actually aggressive. Being able to accept feedback for what it's worth and avoid attacking in response is a sign of maturity and in this case, professionalism. The way the owner replies to negative feedback goes a LONG way to giving at least some credibility to the negative comments. To the owner: Trust me, you'll do yourself a favor if you can consider what people say, take it for what you think it's worth, and then let it go. You've got enough good comments to give people good impressions. Dragging a pet owner through the mud to prove they're the offender doesn't really do yourself any favors. It just makes you come-off as vindictive. Some people are just going to be difficult. Be nice, and forget it. If it's worth explaining in detail, write 'em a letter. You'll look friendlier and more patient that way, and everyone likes a friendly, patient vet.Marci Curran
I have taken my cats to this vet for over 6 years. In the beginning they were good. You always saw a vet with each visit. They are expensive but I believe you get what you pay for. I have noticed that the past several visits we have only seen a tech and not a vet. This was unsettling but we have continued to go there. Today we had the most horrible experience of having to have a dear loved pet put to sleep, which my pet is well known to the staff. They put us in a room and sent in a tech that hardly knew what she was doing. She couldn't answer our questions and handled out pet like he was an object. She made us help put him in a tight fit plastic box and our pet then had to watch us leave without him. I can't forgive them for this. I don't know how other people feel but I am now looking for a Vet Hospital that helps people understand what is happening and shows some sensitivity.Karen Whipp
When looking for a new primary vet I was able to get into Petcare in a reasonable amount of time. Once in the office everyone was so nice and their doctor seemed really invested in treating the animals. I have been very impressed with the communication with office staff and the technology available to them. They make it so easy to make appointments or get a hold of anyone. Pricing is very reasonable. My pet has some special needs going on and I look forward to working with Petcare to get him feeling better!Natalie Christner

If you’re looking for a vet that is good at by up-sales, that will recommend un needed treatments & exploratory surgeries this is your place. If your looking for a shiny new office, & have a lot of excess money that you need to spend, & don’t care much about your pets treatment this is the place to visit! If you care about your animal, have a normal middle-class budget, & just want someone you can trust to tell you the facts, then I would NOT suggest going here. I took my lab here to have some growths removed from her body, nothing serious, all cosmetic. While on the operating table, Dr. Doub placed a heat blanket under my sweet lab and left her there without checking on the temp, the blanket managed to burn her severely to the extent of a thermal burn ( the same kind you would get from holding a welder on your skin). You can see in the images the exact spot the blanket was under her, as the metal coil in the blanket makes an S or U pattern on her flesh. We waited to have the analysis done by another vet to confirm that this was In fact what the burn resulted from as I didn’t want to blame Dr. Doub for this, if it was not from her. One would think after severely burning an animal to this degree they would get out in front of this and reimburse the original cost of the surgery and insist that all the follow up care bills be sent to them, and not the customer. Unfortunately Dr. Doub did none of this. She referred me to her insurance company to file a claim which we promptly did. We spent upwards $20k in vet bills, e collars, medial stuff for the wound, & loss of wages as we had to stay home caring for our dog. I have a new appreciation for what victims of burns go through to heal them. She had 7 surgeries in 3 weeks being put under anesthesia each time (this is not healthy for anyone, & we prayed she would not pass away during surgery). They had to put her under to go in and scrap the wound out and to remove the dead skin. To our horror the burn was massive, like the size of football at least, if not bigger (see the scar in the images). Ive been trying to get repaid for this for the majority of the year, but have not had any resolution. I see her reply to reviews in the most immature and childish way, so I would love to see her reply to this one? This is a clear cut case of negligence by Dr. Doub & her operating staff which resulted in a sever burn on my lab. Anyone using Union Park vet should study the utah animal laws to better inform them of the complete lack of recourse you have if/when Dr. Doub is left alone with your animal and harms them. Every time I see my sweet lab I see this massive scar on her, that continues to open up. I am partially to blame for this as I used Union Park Vet because they were within a mile of my home, I didn’t do any background check online for reviews, but if I had to do it again, I would have studied the reviews online for vets and found one that had some good reviews. Selfishly I chose to go here because of the location, and new shiny building. As others have said, the office is nice and clean, but when you receive your bill or quote, you will understand how its being paid for. Union park is by far. The most expensive vet in the valley. She is trained very well on is her sales skills, and uses software to email you every time you pet needs some BS treatment or shot. If she makes a recommendation on a ‘treatment’ and tells you “ If it was my dog, I would defiantly do… (insert extremely expensive un necessary procedure/treatment) that is a red flag to let you know to leave and not pay anymore money. Theres so many good vets out there with good reviews that are cheap! Don’t make the same mistake I did and think that an expensive vet, means the best care, it could not be further than the truth.Kenny Milne
I started coming to Dr. Doub after another vet in the valley had misdiagnosed one of my dogs when they were just a puppy with scabies. The other vet had told me I had to bring both my dogs in for chemical baths twice a week (which would permanently make them smell of sulfur) burn all my clothes, towels, sheets, and furniture. I called Dr. Doub for a second opinion, she ran a couple simple tests, and prescribed one small tube of ointment for his rash. 2 weeks later he was totally fine and his fur was growing back. Since then we've trusted her with the care of all 4 of my dogs. My red heeler Indy isn't the most socialized or trusting of strangers and he RUNS to Dr. Doub and her staff when we arrive. I've never felt like I'm being up-selled or pressured into anything unnecessary with my pet's care. She even caught my newest rescue puppies parasite infection just by spotting the way her stomach was sitting at their first visit and caught it early on. I recommend UPVH to all my friends and can't speak highly enough of the care and quality they provide.Ethan B
i called the first time to bring in my frenchie who was having some back issues, the vet came out (curb side) and talked to me about all of the options available to me answered all of my questions. a couple days later, i got a text message from someone in there staff checking in on my dude. i decided i wanted to bring my doodle and frenchie to have shots updated and a check up. the tech came out and knew my frenchie by name and i just think that was awesome. after having a conversation with the tech about getting them on heart prevention we found out that my doodle had heart worm, i was able to communicate with the doctor about his treatments and she was wonderful about answering all of my questions and concerns. i absolutely love this place and will continue to bring my boys here!Ashley Darling

TLDR: Dr. Lynette and her team (our tech was Stephanie) gave wonderful care, we’re knowledgeable, and didn’t price gouge! Full Summary: We saw Dr. Lynette today for a check-up visit and a dental exam. I’d had concerns about my cat’s dental health from the last vet I’d seen at Midvalley Animal Clinic so I wanted a second opinion. Our vet tech, Stephanie, was so cheery and friendly which was an awesome intro to a new vet! She was very gentle with my cat and kind when she took our info and concerns in the exam room. Dr. Lynette came in shortly after (which was amazing since normally there is a wait time) and was also so kind and knowledgeable. I appreciated the care and caution they had with a cat that was very scared to be at the vet, their explanations of everything, & their honesty! This is the first vet I’ve been to where I don’t feel like the main goal is to upsell and make more money. They actually informed me of what would be unnecessary charges and procedures for my cat and made different recommendations. Long story short, I’m so pleased we were recommended here and will be returning!Emily
I was able to get in due to a cancellation fairly quickly. This was my first visit and from the time I entered the office till the time I left I was highly impressed with the care, compassion and professionalism. We saw both Dr. Lynette and Dr. Vanessa and they were both fabulous. Both times Abby was our vet tech and she was also amazing! After my initial appointment I was scheduled for a week later follow up, but the next morning I knew I needed to get him back in. They worked with my complicated nightshift schedule and got Moe in that next day. I have been to many veterinary offices and I can say by far this was my best experience. I highly recommend you take your pet to neighborhood vet. Moe says THANK YOU! He’s getting back to his snuggly self!Shelby Green
So yesterday was our first visit here, they squeezed my dog in on virtually zero notice and checked him out and updated his vaccines- all for a great price. Then, he woke up early this morning vomiting over and over again. They squeezed him in on zero notice and took amazing care of him AGAIN. The people who work here are beyond kind and truly care for the animals they see. They’re patient with nervous dogs and comfort worried dog parents. Not to mention their prices are more than fair. Also, they found out it was my birthday the first day we came and I was offered an ice cream sandwich and m&m candy. I will never, ever, go anywhere else for veterinary care. 10000/5 stars.Dot Ivie

Making the decision to make a career path or career change was daunting for me but honestly the staff at V school made it feel easy and we’re very supportive. After making the decision to start a Bootcamp I was still a little skeptical about the whole process but after beginning the curriculum with zero experience (other than the course pre work) it came along at a steady pace. Day after day it’s up to you to put in the work but the staff and student success mentors are there for you, it’s their job to help you succeed! Not to be cheesy but the staff are truly just good people, very positive, extremely helpful, and intelligent to say the least! My student success mentor was an amazing person who always kept positive vibes, always supported us, and made sure we were sticking to our career prep plan to help us ease into this career change. Overall, I would do it again even if I could turn back time. Also, the self paced curriculum was another bonus for me!Joseph Gambill
Awesome program!!! The course is centered around the latest trends in coding. It ensures you know everything you need to develop a Full Stack App, in fact you complete the course with few awesome projects that you can put in your portfolio. The Instructors and TA's are all very attentive, patient, and encouraging. They have high standards but give you the tools to meet those standards. All you have to do is follow their plan, do the work, and learn. One thing that really helps V School stand out is how their schedule is flexible. I found myself quickly sailing through some sections where I already had experience and/or easily understood the concepts. But I was also able to spend more time on other sections where I wanted to make sure I really "got it" before I moving on.GVD
Being a part of V School has truly been a life changing experience for me. Not only have they helped me land my dream job, but supported me every step of the way. The V School community is unlike anything I have ever experienced. The instructors, students, and student success mentors are always willing to give help and feedback. It would be amazing if that was the only support offered, but they go above and beyond that. Literally every person in V School is there to help you succeed. If you are thinking about joining the V School community, just do it! It can truly change your life like it has changed mine.Brax12 Dav15

Review Summary
I took the Full-Time course from DevPoint Labs a while ago and just realized I totally forgot to leave a review. The course was absolutely fantastic! Great staff, TA's, Instructors, and Administration all worked tirelessly to help us learn not only how to code, but how to think like a developer for whatever languages we eventually end up using and supported their students every step of the way, including after graduation through a network to gain mentorship as well as being a mentor to nearly 600 others and past/present staff. The unique approach that DevPoint applied to their teaching methods ensures that topics covered stick with you quicker than any other learning method I've used throughout all my years of schooling. They also update their curriculum as soon as new updates to any language in their stack or new methods of doing something become available, sometimes the night before a class is taught. I've never seen anyone be so quick with keeping their curriculum up to date! The decision to go to DevPoint Labs was very last minute as I was looking for a new career. I dropped everything for three months and it was by far the best decision I have ever made. Having gone to college for Digital Media (graphics design, video production, audio engineering, and basic web development), I feel that those skills on top of what I have learned and continue to learn from DevPoint puts me in a position I could have never dreamt of prior to joining the program. Plus I got a certification from the University of Utah! I highly recommend DevPoint Labs to anyone looking to change their career for the better. Coding isn't as hard as you'd think. The thought process and thinking like a developer is, and they teach you that wonderfully here!Jace Gold
I just finished the course with DevPoint Labs about 2 weeks ago. My experience was fantastic! The team did an awesome job at providing a course that was professional and challenging while also creating an atmosphere that was relaxed and personal. If you take this course you will for sure learn how to code, but you will also learn a ton about the culture and world of programming. Our instructor, James Yeates was an amazing teacher! Our lessons were never (and I repeat NEVER) dry or boring or repetitive. Every day I learned something new, and something practical that I was able to use in my assignments later on that day. The curriculum moves quickly but not so much that you can't understand what is going on. Our class was also small enough that we were able to slow down or go a little faster depending on our collective learning speed. I really can't say enough about this course. I was on the fence before I signed up about whether I should do the part-time or the full-time course and I can't express enough how glad I am that I did the full-time course. It's a sacrifice of time and money, but the payoff is more than worth it. This course literally changed the direction of my life. The amount of knowledge I gained in 3 months is enough to give me the confidence to go out and truly be a web developer. I definitely would recommend this course to anyone who is looking for an opportunity to change career directions and become a developer. You WILL NOT regret your decision.Landon Whitesides
Going into DevPoint Labs was extremely difficult for me as I had no prior coding experience besides a few html and css lessons. Yes they do require you to complete a pre-course before starting which I did, but I recommend giving yourself a couple of months to soak it all in because when you start the actual bootcamp it goes very fast and you will feel lost. Having said that I still had a wonderful time getting to know my class mates, working in a team environment and learning a LOT of new skills. The instructor and TA’s were extremely helpful if I had questions on anything they were always there to help guide me in the right direction. The other nice thing about DevPoint is that once you’ve completed the entire course you still get to keep all the course information to go back and look through. You also have the ability of sitting in on lectures after the course is over which awesome. I'm glad to have completed this bootcamp and i'm happy to say I'm now a DevPointer for life.Rachel Wadsworth-Smith

I would leave negative stars if possible. The humane society took away my dog today because their opinion towards use of a prong collar to train to walk without pulling on a leash. They do not agree with the use of this type of collar. They needed to learn the fine line between animal abuse and animal discipline. Animal abuse is drugging a dog and putting it in a kennel. Animal discipline is finding the proper tools to train as to what you want it to do. Obedience classes and trainers use this type of collar with great success. Animal discipline is teaching the animal rules of the home and working with the animal to finD what works and setting clear rules. To make a dog great it takes three things. #1 obedience #2 love ❤️ #3 love ❤️….NOT DRUGS AND A CAGE!!! I WILL NEVER AGAIN TRY TO ADOPT ANOTHER ANIMAL FROM THEM AGAIN.Jimmy Burton
I'm so grateful for the Humane Society! I came in looking for a full grown cat that already had a developed personality, While he was a bit anxious at first, he settled right in at home. The humane society did an awesome job reminding me that the first 3 days, first 3 weeks, and first 3 months can be challenging. Animals, just like humans, take time to adjust and it takes time for the relationship to blossom. I found the sweetest best friend here. I work from home and never knew how much joy having a cuddle buddy all day could bring! Always adopt not shop!Julianna Braley
Lovely people, lovely place! I adopted my sweet bunny here and I couldn’t be happier. She came spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and well cared for. All of the staff members were so kind and helpful. Lauren was helping me and she was so willing to answer all of my questions. She was very knowledgeable as well! I wasn’t planning to adopt so quickly, but they have such sweet animals and I just fell in love. The shelter is very clean and I can tell that the workers really care about the animals. The Humane Society of Utah is a great organization to support!Emma Staffanson

Dr. Boehler is truly amazing. Unfortunately, my rabbit’s issues were untreatable and we had to euthanize him, but I’m so grateful for the sympathy and care I received from the staff at Animal Care Daybreak. The doctor called to speak to us personally multiple times, and she always gave very thorough explanations of her diagnoses and procedures. We were once late to pick up our rabbit from an appointment, and she still took the time to go through everything with us. All of the vet techs and receptionists were very kind and knowledgeable. I never felt like they were pushing unnecessary services on us just for the money. I’m so grateful that Dr. Boehler was honest in recommending euthanasia for my rabbit’s chronic issues. He was in so much pain, but she could’ve kept us coming back regularly as an easy cash grab. Instead, she recommended what was best for our pet and she let him pass peacefully. I will always bring my pets here. It was a heartbreaking experience, but it brings me peace to know that Franklin passed away in the hands of people who truly cared about him.Emma Staffanson
I had the pleasure of meeting both Dr. Cassie and Dr. Ian. They are empathetic, sharp, and honest (a trifecta that can be hard to come by in vets). My husband and I took our sick cat, Romeo, in for some tests and a dental procedure. The staff went above and beyond in communicating updates of his status. When Dr. Cassie noticed some abnormalities in Romeo’s bloodwork, she didn’t hesitate to recommend us go to an emergency clinic. I give her props for noticing it and alerting us so we could get more intense care. She even called in so the emergency clinic knew we were coming and had the medical history all ready to go. After more tests, we sadly learned that our Romeo was terminally ill. When it came time for us to put our little guy to rest, the doctors and staff took us in with so much support, kindness, and patience. The staff said all the right things at the right time. My husband and I were emotional but they validated our feelings with grace. We are so grateful to have taken a chance on this facility. We will certainly be taking our other cat here from now on.Keegan Hayes
Extremely disappointed with my first and only experience with Animal Care Daybreak. Very poor communication. My dog received vaccines that were not authorized and not discussed with me at all. I was never able to meet the nurse or vet. I understood the drop off process but I thought I would at least be able to discuss the concerns in person at some point. The office staff advised it would be an estimate of 2-3 hours for exam and blood draw. It wasn't til 6 hours later he was seen and 2 more until he was cleared for pick up. My results have been in, yet I cannot get a single individual to give me information. I just keep getting told I'll receive a phone call. We are headed into day 5 and still no answers. Unfortunately this experience has shown me I cannot trust nor rely on ACD for simple testing therefore I will establish a relationship with another clinic who I feel confident can handle my pets care.Jenet Haley

I came in having been trying to find a veterinarian that could see me on my work hours. Really though trying to get into a vet these days is impossible. Even doctors offices allow for a few emergencies. That being said I’d been to one pet urgent care, abs while I feel that they did adequate care, they did not follow up and really on the first phone call the other place had put me off on the phone call. The veterinarian I have used in the past suggested Valley Veterinarian and because of all of the recent bad experiences I’d had recently, was nervous and overwhelmed to say the least. But as soon as I walked in the staff was caring and concerned for my well being as well as my pets. It caused the floodgate to open and I was sobbing. You know when you are in a quality business and the Is is top notch. Thank you for everything you did for us. You made me feel at ease and I felt safe knowing she was in good hands. I wasn’t rushed even though it was busy and a walk in. I can definitely say that I will be back. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love always LeeAnne and Ellie dos:04/27/2022Leeanne Hadfield
A little over two weeks ago what we thought was a lipoma not to be worried about on our pup turned a strange color and started bleeding. Our 14 year old Pyrenees has been going to Lehi Animal Hospital since she was a puppy. They couldn’t fit us in that week, so they recommended Valley Veterinary Hospital. The first vet we saw was very kind and recommended antibiotics/painkillers, but did prepare us that we were approaching the end. We had two more weeks with our old girl and today had to say goodbye. Both of the vets we saw were so kind and answered all of our questions. The vet that administered her euthanasia walked us through everything very patiently. Even letting us weigh all of our options despite us knowing it was her time… just to calm us I’m sure. They created an environment where I didn’t feel rushed in any way as I said goodbye to our sweet girl. Thank you Valley Veterinary Hospital. I know it can be extremely difficult to pursue a career in this field, so I want to assure you that you made a positive impact on my life today.Hannah LaVin
We were referred to Valley Veterinary by my regular vet for an emergency surgery for foreign body removal they were unable to perform. Valley was accommodating, and got me right in. I have a 1 year old cane corso who has a bit of a stranger danger personality. Every staff member handled him with care and understanding, but my pup actually LIKED Dr Park. That spoke to me. He took his time with us and explained everything thoroughly and in easy to understand terms. He was patient with me too. 🙂 He not only performed surgery, but took the conservative route by moving the obstruction through the bowel by hand instead of making an incision in the intestine. This reduced the risk to my fur baby ten fold and I appreciated it. They were honest with their billing and saved me money. Because of this great experience, I will be utilizing this clinic for my Veterinary needs with him. Highly recommend!Brianna Star

Review Summary
I’m not a dog person. My wife is, and I love her for it. She opens my mind to new aspects of my heart I never thought PAWSible. She wanted a dog SO badly, but I’m allergic. So I resisted for 5 years of marriage until I realized puppies just bring her a happiness that I rarely experience in my life. She doesn’t believe in puppy mills, so she wanted a rescue dog. So we got Grub. "We'll give him the BEST years of his life" we thoguht…idiots. Between 8 to 10 years old, Yorkie/Poodle mix, I named him a Porkie, and yes, he came with a name, so cool, we kept it….Grub, Grubbo, Grub Dog. There is a PetSmart and Banfield Hospital literally blocks, about 3, from our home. I’ve heard bad things about Banfield from friends. I ignored them. They’re super close. Large business. They NEED to care and hire the best veterinarians…right? No, super incorrect. Everyone told me they charge 4 to 5 times what they should, but I didn’t care. They’re close I said. They’re a huge corporation I said. They’re more expensive because they’re BETTER I said. Boy, am I silly. The support staff is great, but “Dr” Taylor Jay Tuskin is in over his head. We brought Grub in for routine tooth extraction. He had problems previously. Can’t blame “Dr” Tuskin for that. What I will blame him for wholeheartedly is for the following: He stated the infection on his mouth was on the wrong side, literally(we only knew this after he BROKE my dog’s JAW and brought him to an actual veterinarian and stated he is in correct. He also did obviously not take ANY x-rays or he would have seen this. If he’s breaking dog’s jaws, then he shouldn’t be doing the procedure in the first place. He said AFTER that this is a risk with small dogs, but also ADMITTED to the fact that he should have explained this BEFORE the procedure. So I get a call at work from my sobbing wife. “Frankie, “Dr” Taylor Jay Tuskin BROKE Grub’s JAW!!!” She bawled. I’m not happy. Also, mind you, I purchased a $580 annual care plan. I called them to let them know that my distraught wife is coming in and told them exactly what needs to happen. They need to get a REAL doctor to fix this, TODAY, they will not charge me for a cent for “Dr” Taylor Jay Tuskin breaking my dog’s jaw. And they will refund EVERY cent they have charged me for their fraudulent fees. When “Dr” Tuskin called my wife, “I’m so sorry, I SHOULD have told you with small dogs, broken jaws is a risk.” He SHOULD have told us. He should not be doing surgeries that he is obviously not trained or capable of. My idea is Banfield doesn’t care. Grub went to a real doctor and now it will take 8 weeks for his wired shut jaw to heal. Contemplating legal action. Depends on how much more my wife cries and whether or not Grub can live through all this medication. $2,200 extra on top of Banfield visits that they claim they will charge us for. Am I trying to disparage them? YES! Duh! They suck! Don’t kill your pet or put them in pain by bringing them to this place. I have a million more words to write but I’ll let the pictures do the talking.Frank Mansuetto
I have taken my dog, Champ, to Banfield since he was 5 weeks old and have always been pleased with the care that the nurses and doctors give him. The entire staff provides excellent service and they all seem to be genuinely passionate about helping animals. Champ is now 2 years old and wasn't feeling well so I took him to an ER vet on Friday. I was told that he had a bowel obstruction and that if surgery wasn't done ASAP, he would die. The ER vet gave me an estimate of over $4,500 for the surgery which I couldn't possibly afford. I called Banfield in West Valley and within minutes I was told that Dr. Myers could operate on him in the morning. She was able to get him in for surgery within less than 24 hours, on a Saturday, and did an incredible job. I was desperate to save his life and had no money other than Care Credit. She worked with me on the cost so that he could get the care he needed. She also texted me updates throughout the day Saturday and even responded to me when I asked some questions on Sunday. She offered to see Champ for an outpatient follow up appointment on Monday free of charge just to check on him and make sure he is doing well. Their hours are 8:00 am to 7:00 pm which is great because I work until 6:00 pm and don't have to miss any work to take him in. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend the West Valley Banfield location and Dr. Myers to anyone and everyone! Dr. Myers literally saved my sweet boy's life!Shalice Ruesch
I have been taking my dogs here for 14 years. Up until the last year or so I was completely satisfied with the care we received from our plans. In the last year my lab pup got a cut on her foot that became infected. I called and asked for antibiotics to help her heal up. They refused and I had to schedule an appointment 3 weeks out. Then more recently our cat has an eye injury. Again they wouldn't see him for over a week. They prescribed an ointment. No improvement and the prescribed another ointment. Another week passed and they refer us to a specialist and tell us he'll likely have to have his eye removed. We get there and within 5 minutes he's seen and they… Look in his eye and find a fox tail. Remove and he's back to normal within a few days. We're done and will not be renewing any of our pets plans. In search of more caring care for our pets.Joshua Carter
