To be completely honest, she is one of the main reasons I want to attend Plaza. I have never seen a program/admissions assistant so eager to assistant you in making your career goals become reality. I visited as a new patient for a student dentist. It’s a new building with new equipment and most importantly clean environment. Everything takes much longer for a full overview of me teeth since she’s a student being examined. It’s nothing like having a normal dentist visit. She checked my blood pressure, pulse, even sited a small mole on my neck and gave me skin awareness and skin cancer advice. Then neck and jaw was checked and each tooth’s gum is measured and then x-rays! This was all done under the general supervision of professional and thorough Senior Dentist. Then time was up! I started going to NYU dental clinic in October 2017 for a dental evaluation and any work that may be needed including one implant on the upper right quadrant which had been missing for several years. Five years and many visits later and I need more work than ever, and we are still nowhere close to replacing the tooth I originally came in for. Now that clinic has broken at least three other teeth that later needed to be removed and I’m now walking around with three missing teeth, and one half-broken-off tooth in need of extraction. With no treatment in the foreseeable future as their students will not even work on my teeth through no fault of my own. I often see ads for how great NYU College of Dentistry implants is, but they don’t tell people that it will take years to actually get one if ever. The students pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a dental degree at NYU and the school charges patients through insurance and private payments so they can practice but it treats the patients like dental training manikins. It takes weeks and sometimes months just to get an appointment and you have a bunch of follow-up appointments that could the rest of the semester to work on just one tooth. They take my blood pressure before starting a session, which has always been low as I exercise regularly and run 17-20 miles a week but all the damage they caused to my mouth required even more work than before and they wanted me to pay for the damage they caused. This resulted in a spike in blood pressure one time and asked me to leave and see a cardiologist which I did and after a battery of tests was told I was perfectly healthy. It's the first time to go to dentist in the US and I was kind of nervous but my students were very nice and gentle. And sane students are in charge always you go.(If they graduate then different student will be.) Usually a junior and a senior student are one pair. And it is appreciative price not like super expensive dentists. Treatments may take time since students give you the treatments mostly with supervised the dentist professor only at the beginning or the end so I recommend you if you can be patient and give them enough time. Just one thing, I went here for a filling treatment and I didn’t feel any pain at all and I didn’t know what kind of filling procedure they will give me. Then the senior student gave me TWO anesthesia shots which were UNNECESSARY!! I couldn’t tell my filling was good or not because of numbness around my teeth and mouth so I had to go back one more time to adjust on different day. My mouth was uncomfortable during the period. So it’s better you ask them every time BEFORE they do treatment for your teeth.日福米豪

I have been trying to get an appointment here for over 2 years. Each time I call, I am told different things and that's only if they pick up. I was told by their staff I was indeed a good fit for their disability dental clinic. I was told they don't take medicaid despite it saying it on their own website. When I pointed that out to the receptionist, she snapped at me about how that's not in her control. I was just letting you know so someone could take it off the website if its not true and then people wouldn't call and waste your time asking if you take medicaid. But to add on to that, another receptionist said you DO take medicaid. This place is very confusing and disorganized. I really needed your services and the crazy thing is, I still do! The longer it takes, the more afraid I will be of the dentist. I just wish if you weren't gonna help, You would've been upfront, honest and not let me suffer in pain for a return call that never came. I really had faith in you.Angel Baby

After an agonizing search I landed on Touro College and definitely no regrets. I was “assigned” 2 gentlemen students (I apologize but I can only recall the name Kevin). They’re both super great! The whole staff is very attentive and answered all of my questions in detail. They worked personally with me to not only make me feel super comfortable but financially, they “investigated “ my prior dental searches as to not repeat any unnecessary procedures such as X-rays. During hard times like we live in today a smile can mean so much! I personally have always valued having a healthy mouth and good looking teeths and I wouldn't have been able to have it without Dr. Husam's help. Before finding Empire Dental I met multiple dentists that wanted to over treat telling me I needed multiple fillings and a full deep cleaning. I knew right away I didn't need "multiple fillings" and that I should go look for a second opinion! I am from CT but I heard great things about Dr. Husam and I commuted all the way to NY and I was not disappointed. I was fully examined (teeth & gums) and I only had one cavity and they did a thorough dental cleaning and did not over charge me for a "deep" cleaning.I was happy with my cleaning and my teeth looked healthy and whiter even without any whitening treatments! I LOVED HIS WORK and told him I was interested in porcelain veneers, but the doctor recommended Invisalign first as it's the most conservative treatment. I had spent thousands of dollars throughout the years and even had braces for 3 years but I was still unhappy about how my teeth looked. I have to say that Dr. Husam had my interest in mind and is an ethnically knowledgeable dentist, which are rare to find!! Right now I am in the process of Invisalign, and I am very happy throughout the process. Mask or no mask is important to have a healthy and good looking smile for oneself and to go out in the world with a bright smile! Thank you Dr. Husam and staff! PS. Dr. Husam is fantastic as soon as I walked into the office the atmosphere felt calm and comfortable. I previously had a horrible experience at a traditional orthodontics where I had braces and wasn't happy with the results. At Empire dental I got a deep cleaning, one of the best experiences I have had. After going to Dr. Husam, I started my Invisalign treatment and started to see a noticeable change in my smile. Dr.Husam provides a one-of-a-kind service to all his patients that make them feel at home. As of now, I'm done with my Invisalign treatment and it has made a noticeable difference in my smile. I have to say, I love coming here – to a dental office. Yes, to a dental office. The office and staff is amazing, and I always feel comfortable. Dr. Almunajed was very educational, and showed me many things I was unaware of with my gums especially. I do have insurance, but at this office, I did not feel they were trying to milk me or the system. I had out of network benefits, and the office was able to make me use my insurace benefits seamlessly. I cannot say enough good things about Sky Dental. We've been patients for almost 4 years now. My son is 6 and has been going to Dr. Jackie since he was 3 and often asks if we can go visit Dr. Jackie! We actually followed Dr. Jackie here from another practice that we were not very happy with and immediately transferred our own dental care as well once we met the office staff and the doctors. Dr. Rhieu is knowledgeable, patient, takes time to explain procedures and answers questions in detail. The office staff could not be any more professional, nice and accommodating. The practice has grown a lot since we joined, but that personal touch is still there. Everyone knows our name and always has a smile for us. We always get a call back or email reply to our questions within minutes. They also always review and email the cost of any recommended procedure and my copay and insurance information with me ahead of time which is extremely helpful. The clinic and waiting area are spotless, inviting, comfortable and have more of a spa feel than a medical office. I used to dread going to the dentist and now I really look forward to my visits. Hands down the second best dentist I have been to (first is my hometown dentist I been for majority of my life back in WA State) in my life! But, THE best dentist I have been to while living in NYC. This was my first visit to this office and I was amazed on how beautiful, warm, and welcoming this office space and staff were. From start (front desk staff), middle (dental assistant and dental hygienist) to finish (Dr. Newman), everything was done so efficiently. The best dentist experience I've ever had. First of all, the building is gorgeous, not that it matters, but still. Secondly, the staff. Everybody is genuinely kind, helpful and knowledgeable. 10/28/21. Updated to include photos. My 4-year old son got a tooth cleaning and checkup at Transcendental. Rachel did the cleaning, and Dr. Marjan looked at his teeth. He had a great time! 10/6/21. I brought my 9-year old daughter into Transcendental NYC for a cleaning and to get her tooth extracted. Both were great. The tooth extraction was our first time with Dr. Marjan, who just took over from Dr. Seiden. We had a truly wonderful experience. Dr. Marjan was really concerned whether my daughter would be too stressed or scared of the extraction (and the laughing gas), and Dr. Marjan even offered to refer my daughter to another dentist that would put her under during the procedure. I told her we'd be fine, and my daughter did really well with the laughing gas. The procedure ended up taking less than 30 minutes, and the office staff put on my daughter's favorite songs to play during the procedure! I would recommend that you give Dr. Marjan a try, as she sees both adults and kids, which is a plus in a dentist!!!Michelle Liu-Watts

Going to the dentist to have a tooth extraction isn't something that one would look forward to, especially if you're the nervous fearful type. That is what I am, having anticipated a stressful, painful session. I experienced the exact opposite. Dr. Marjan explained what she was doing as she proceeded, consistently asking me if I was ok, explaining the aftercare, taking my questions with patience and empathy. Additionally, the staff is caring which added positively to the session. In following Dr. Marjan's instructions for the following days, I had no pain at all, not during, immediately after or in days following. From the initial call to book an appointment, I knew I have to experience their cleaning to determine if they will be my go to dentist or not. They were so communicative, supporting, and welcoming. Koppelman Dental is a great office. I started going back in 2017 when I needed a root canal done and I was terrified. The doctor took time to explain what he was doing and comfort me the entire time and it ended up being a good experience. I decided to change my dentist, and I 100 do not regret choosing this dentist. The receptionist is so welcoming, super sweet, and professional. The dentist made me feel very comfortable, and my teeth have been the best since I came here. I used some have some Tartar on my teeth which I struggled with for years. Sachar dental is the best dental office! The service is fantastic, efficient and on point! I completed my Checkup, Cleaning and In-Office Teeth bleaching here and it was the best experience ever! Coming from a horrendous dental experience where I had started 2 implants, but was told my insurance didn't pay for implants after the fact, which turned out to be a lie, Dr. Edward's is a breath of fresh air. I am 71 years old, and no dentist ever placed sunglasses on me to protect my eyes from the overhead light, but Dr. Edwards did. His staff Stephanie called me back immediately after checking my insurance and gave me the break down of my out of pocket expense so I could make an informed decision. They let me pay in payments. His assistant Genesis lubricated my lip when my lips started drying, and gently gauzed any drips along my chin. Dr. Edwards is gentle, injections barely hurt at all. He explains everything, even explained a feature of my palate that no doctor ever took the time to let me know. My new implant needed a slight adjustment that wasn't evident until I chewed on the first food after, and they fit me in right away to make the adjustment. The hygienist, Aliki, gave me a thorough deep cleaning without pain. I actually look forward to coming to the dentist. Oh, and I was able to text them at their number when there was a delay in the subway, and they assured me that they would fit me in even if I was late, and they did. Doc Edwards is the best in the game. I've been to dentists all over in my 35 years of life and no dentists was more to the point, friendly and provided exactly what I needed to a clean healthy mouth and smile. He didn't try to push unneeded work that I've experienced in the past with other dentists which was a great relief. His cleaning of my teeth my smooth and comfortable. But most of all Matthew Edwards is and was a great person. He was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable, he also asked questions and I felt like I was with a friend I've known forever. Shalman dentistry is the reason why I feel less intimated by dentist appointments and empowered by the dental care I’m receiving. I am grateful for their quality attention and service. Due to a mistake on my part, I missed my first appointment and I was very appreciative of their grace and understanding. I made to sure to arrive early to my rescheduled appointment and they assisted me immediately. No wait time at all and I always appreciate being assisted at my actual appointment time. It’s a small team and they’re all delightful people. I enjoyed my interactions with every staff member. I was extremely grateful for every question Dr. Shalman answered for me during my first visit. I also really appreciate how the entire staff seemed to prioritize my overall dental health instead of just focusing on the one issue I came in for. This dentistry office gave me a reality check about my dental health while also reassuring me that with their support I could work towards restoring my dental health. When I went in for my second scheduled appointment, I couldn’t remember what it was for. When I arrived I was reminded that I was going in to meet with the Dental Hygienist, Crystal (hope thats the correct spelling), for a deep cleaning. This ended up being such a special dental visit for me all because of Crystal and her team. While finishing my deep cleaning, Crystal noticed that one of my front tooth looked chipped and said that Dr. Shalman could give me a filling to fix that. I told her I’ve hated that chipped look all of my life and that no dental professional has ever offered to remedy it in any way. They were able to fix my front tooth the same day! I chose to receive this surprise service as a birthday gift. I’ve always wanted to do something about my chipped tooth, but it didn’t happen until I met Crystal at Dr. Shalman’s dentistry. Wow, this was probably the most pleasant dental experience that I’ve ever had. I was extremely satisfied with my very first visit to Aesthetic Dentistry of Manhattan. My original dentist in Parkchester closed down, so I switched to Co-op City. It was always a negative encounter and experience with various Drs. leaving the Dental Office. Dr. Gause seems really knowledgeable, and thorough. I only went in for an exam, as I’m starting afresh. He measured my teeth, my smile, tested my bite, and checked for cancer by feeling my neck for swollen lymph nodes. I was very impressed. I’m a Flight Attendant so being on the go always is hard to make appointments, and find good dentists. I’m 28, and I’ve never had any dentist do such an amazing exam. This is the best dentist I have ever visited. I cannot recommend this place to enough people. The office is super clean, the staff is kind, welcoming, professional and thoughtful and accommodating. I love Dr. Gause. He takes time with me each visit to discuss what is going on and you can tell he actually cares about his patients and isn't just rushing through to get to someone else. Devin has taken care of me the last few years for cleanings and he's so fast while still being thorough that he actually makes going to the dentist tolerable. Today I had my first visit with aesthetic dentistry of Manhattan. The office is beautiful and clean. Devin did an amazing (painless!) job with my dental cleaning, as well as making me feel comfortable and well taken care of. Both Devin and Dr. Gause explained my examination thoroughly, and together we developed a care plan that would work for me. I've never found going to the dentist easy. It isn't just that I'm afraid of pain — it's fear plus the whole awkward business of getting fingers and tools stuck in my mouth, and the embarrassment and shame I carry about not taking good enough care of my teeth. Put that together with the cost of care and it can feel too easy to just avoid the whole thing. But I'm not avoiding any more, because I have total confidence in my kind, compassionate, and very professional dentist. Dr. Davidson and her staff know to put one at ease. What an amazing practice. Dr. Madalyn is incredible, professional and efficient at her job. She gives great advice/tips and knows how to explain exactly what the issue is in a way I can understand. I had a very difficult time getting my records from a previous dentist (tend, ugh) and Vanessa at the front desk took care of it for me no problem. It was totally my error and responsibility but she handled it professionally and quickly. I have been going to Dr. Davidson for a few years now for everything from routine cleanings (absolutely the most thorough ever) to Invisalign (very patient with my long journey) and a tooth extraction (including emergency call for antibiotics to save a family vacation for me) and implant. If I could give this office 6 stars I would! From the minute my husband and I arrived for our appointments as new patients the entire staff was very welcoming. Drena at the front desk greeted us both and check in was super easy as we had done all our paperwork prior to the visit. I came in for a full evaluation and cleaning and was surprised when the hygienist Sarah explained I needed a bit more then a cleaning. She was BEYOND kind, thorough and walked me through every step of the procedure taking her time to check on me and make sure I was comfortable and okay every step of the way. My husband had his cleaning done with Monserrat who was equally as amazing! Our cleanings were AMAZING! They took their time and did the work we both needed. We both were visited by Dr.Reich who was so great! He also explained in detail everything that needed to be done, walked us through the current plan and the future plan for both of our dental plans! I have never felt so informed ever! I was with the same office for 4 years and have never felt so good about a visit. Lastly, Linda the practice Manager visited us both, walked us through the procedures again to be sure we understood everything as well as all of our insurance questions. Such a great office to be around! I was amazed by the positive atmosphere spread though out the office. Dr. Reich and his team were super friendly and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. The front desk staff were super sweet and amazing, especially Drena. She makes you feel at home with just her smile! Dr. Reich made sure that I was feeling relaxed and comfortable. When I was having problems with my teeth, I left Dr. Reich office a voicemail and immediately received a call the very next day. Even though he was out of town on vacation he still helped me out by prescribing me medication and recommending another dentist to go to in case of emergency. He even gave me his personal cellphone number if to call if I had any more issues or concerns. It was so nice to see him care this much for a patient while being away. As someone who is terrified of dentists and had avoided going to one because of this , let me tell you arch dental was the best decision I ever made. Every staff member makes you feel at ease and comfortable from the second you walk in the door. They are accommodating to crazy schedules and are a breath of fresh air to deal with . Both the dentist and the hygienist were very understanding of my fear and did everything in their power to make me feel comfortable. They allowed me to take multiple breaks and gave me options for pain relief and sedation so that I could get everything done. I can’t say enough good things about the people at Exchange Dental Group. They are so kind and are incredible at their jobs. I called them because I needed my wisdom teeth removed quickly and they scheduled a consultation for the next day, scheduled an appointment for the day after that, and easily completely the procedure. Dr. Shanin performed the procedure and he was incredible. He explained everything ahead of time, answered every question I had, and expertly completed the procedure. In the following days, they even checked in on me to see how my recovery was going. Liza, the treatment and financial coordinator, emailed me several times to check in and always responded quickly when I had a question. My favorite dental office so far. I came in to treat a bad case of TMJ pain and was very happy with the results. The team was extremely nice and had the proper experience to recommend the best path to treatment. I received a custom molded bite guard which fully removed my TMJ pain. I also came back for cleanings and to fix some cavities, which went smoothly as well. This place can get pricey, but the front office always notifies me of the potential charges before proceeding.Sunny Singh

The exchange Dental Group is the most superb of all dental facilities. The doctors are graduates of prestigious schools, talented beyond imagination and caring beyond norm. Dr. Zibuts is outstanding , always patient and always gentle in any and all procedures. The hygienists are well taught, experienced and a pleasure to deal with. I have no idea how this office got 4.9 stars. I felt obliged to write down my real experience. Last year, I went to the office for a regular teeth cleaning and was recommended to do two regular filings and an inlay filing. In less than a year, one regular filing and the inlay both fell out! The same thing happened to my colleague. He was recommended to replace the crown. In less than a year, his crown also fell out. Both of us has stopped visiting this office. The office I currently go to only has 30+ reviews and an average score of 4.5. But the doctor is 10x better. To me, the doctor at this office are very aggressive but unfortunately unqualified. Google review can be manipulated. I highly recommend you ask for a second opinion when doing anything other than regular dental cleaning.K Z

Detailed, thorough, considerate, and easy. The friendliness and courtesy of the staff and Dr. Randhawa made my fear of visits to the dental office a thing of the past. Totally felt welcomed and comfortable in the hygienic space. Left with a bunch of practical and easy to assimilate tips to keep my teeth healthy and clean.
