20 Best Surgical Tech Programs In Rochester, NY (2022 Updated)

Wanting to further my education as an adult and being excited about coming back after 25 years since my first attempt enrolled in College my expectations were to seek help in enrollment, having all typical questions answered that every student has about financial aid, classes that can accommodate my FT work schedule, meeting with my student advisor and such. It was a very upsetting and disappointing experience to say the least. I would never recommend this school to anyone and I warn you in advance when considering. My student advisor Teneshia Soriano was the worst! I tried to meet with her on many occasions and she was never in the office past 3pm. Life requires us (most of us) to work FT jobs before even attempting an education, but when a school cannot understand that evening classes are imperative to adults returning to school it’s a big red flag. I could not be helped by the financial aid office, the business office, student advisor, and worst of all John Ryder the Director of Student Affairs. Both of my daughters are currently attending classes, some on-line other's in person. Both girls have had an easy time with the entire process of finances, aid, enrolling, supplies, resources and support etc. Specifically because of the staff we've been working with in several different positions have truly been their for the students and parents. They have made the process easy in my opinion and we're more then helpful and mindful to a moody 18yr old. The nursing program does not care about putting good working nurses into the health care industry. They only care about how well you can do on written exams, not actual performance in the field. This school has made it very clear that they are only out for money. I watched a loved one put everything they had into this course just to be given up on over a single point. How does a college have a faculty that can't answer any questions pertaining to activities that go on campus. there are 4 kids to a room and marijuana smoke fills the air. You complain to faculty that you were not around anytime that this is found by staff with proof of your where abouts each and everytime. I don't smoke at all. I have a scholarship to go to this school and they kicked me out due to no one coming clean about the marijuana. I don't think I was treated fairly. I don't go here nor do I know anyone who does. We visited for a wrestling tournament. The gym they used was utterly disgusting. Dirty as hell. Garbage was shoved everywhere. There was a baby bottle!!! This is right when they opened. You are going to tell me there is no custodians or even volunteers to clean it up knowing there are visitors coming?? This college misguides students frequently. Be careful what your advisor tells you and they tend to swap your own major without your permission. I’ve lost thousands of dollars due to the unmanaged people that work here. This place has a low tuition cost for a reason. This is a really good school if you’re all about your academics. I’ve had my good times and my bad times here at MCC. Overall on the academic side of MCC I appreciate all of the hard work that most of my professors have done. There are professors here that definitely need to be more qualified with what they are teaching as it has affected my grades when I’ve taken their courses. I am an Honor student here at MCC with a GPA of 3.30 and have never once had an issue with organization skills until my 2019 spring semester. A couple of the professors have been unorganized, no syllabus and sometimes they have other priorities when they have to teach a class in other words they put another professor in place when they have to go to another job. Although these were a couple of issues within my time here at MCC I enjoyed the experience of learning new knowledge for my future career. I really liked a lot of my professors but a couple of them have been a little rough. If you communicate with your professors about your issues that you’re having it really helps and shows that you’re determined to do your work and it shows you care about your work as well. Environment wise I’d have to say it’s not healthy (mentally/physically) and or good for many people. There have been students who have left garbage all over the place and don’t clean up after themselves which leads to maintenance having to clean it all up. With my time here I have helped maintenance clean up other people’s messes so they don’t have to worry about it as much. Also the amount of vaping, drug use, and underage drinking in the lounge is unacceptable and nothing has been done to take care of this issue except shutting the lounge down. I feel as if this does nothing but illustrates that they can go elsewhere within the college and do these things. An authority figure should really take this into consideration and do something about this because it affects others who have nothing to do with these people and it ruins people’s Health. You can smell weed from a mile away and if people have asthma or a health condition this could affect them physically. I do not appreciate this at all and I wish something was done about it. The other big issue environmentally is the fact that the main cafeteria can get very loud and some students have no manners and do not respect others around them. If they are asked to quiet down they do the opposite It has gotten to the point where a lot of people have complained and yet nothing is done to prevent this from happening again. The college needs to have some control over what students do and take action on these issues. I wish that there could be some changes here and I hope for the best for everyone at MCC. Overall it is a good school for your academics but is definitely not a mentally healthy place environmentally. Even if you try to get away and go somewhere else for privacy somehow drama follows behind you. A Tip would be after your classes go home if you can or go to the back of the library in the quiet study room. So I will start with sharing my positive highlights of the fall semester during covid. Some teachers were empathetic to the situation the entire nation went through. Prof. Muldoon did such an amazing job touching base and gaining clarity of students frustration and technical difficulties during this time. Prof Diane. Hillyer OMG if I were ever to be a college professor I’d want to have her passion and dedication. She’s a math angel, truly loves her job and her videos were perfect! Now chemistry online and labs online were a joke!!! The professor did not make enough office hours, used YouTube videos from other teachers, used repetitive templates for each week lesson with no data. If I wanted to learn chemistry that way I could’ve honestly gone on Edx.org for FREE and probably have learned the curriculum better. I might of missed 1 assignment and handed in 1 assignment 10 mins late and didn’t receive the grade or support needed. But unfortunately as a paying student I just have to deal with it, 2k down the drain! Funny thing I am also a teacher during covid and actually work in the building with student and never would I have ever made my students feel isolated like this professor did. I’ve never seen or heard my chemistry teachers voice but I’m pretty sure they got paid every two weeks while there’s probably many qualified teachers that could have done a way better job. I was warned about this professor but I learned the hard way. The school overall has a nice faculty and I feel like the majority do care. This is unfortunate when professor get so accustomed to a repetitive lifestyle because blackboard actually graded my exams so again not sure what some professor did during Covid behind the scene and so-called virtual teaching. I was a potential international student and found Manchester Community College a great place to go. I called the first time and wasn’t able to talk to the responsible for international students but left my phone number and email. Umesh sent me an email saying he would give me a call. He did, two days later and was rude and impatient since the moment I picked up the phone and was acting like he was doing me a favor to call me. He said I should go back to my country and take my visa there instead of changing my status here, which is not up to him, was questioning how I was gonna become a student and more. I can’t even explain how rude and disrespectful he was to me who was just trying to make an appointment to go to the campus and get more informations in person about fees and the I20. Since they have instituted 6 sessions Columbia College has proven they are not about the students. By making this move they force students to take student loans or lose part of their Pell grant due to not being enrolled full time. They try telling their students that 6 sessions per year will benefit them. Being a student that is currently enrolled and have been for a few years now I can tell you it is of no good to the student. Not only does it cost us more but instead of having any type of break between already accelerated courses we only have two days off. This is ultimately going to lead to more stressed out students and lower GPA's. There was a time I recommended this College to everyone I came across. Now sadly I make it very clear Columbia College is the worst college you could attend. It is a joke. Rolla's new policy if we don't offer something you need in seat take it online. Not mentioning that not only are online courses significantly more expensive but the work that is required for these is beyond reason. I am talking at minimum double the workload of an in seat class. I'm currently enrolled at CC. This is the best college I've ever been to. The faculty is understanding and very helpful. They actually care about your education. My advisor was by far the best. She helped me through some very tough decisions and helped me to make the best financial decisions. I visited the enrollment center 3 times to change classes due to my own reasons and all three times they were understanding, helpful, and encouraging. I also went to the enrollment services about my financial status multiple times throughout the year and they were always there to help. They showed me my financial plan exactly including scholarships, loans, and grants. They explained everything to where I could understand and even printed me copies of my plan. BEST COLLEGE containing the VERY BEST PEOPLE! The other reviews that had one star and rude comments, it's because of their stupidity and closed mindedness. I had a terrible experience at this school. I would highly recommend not going to this college. They do not care about how you as the student does. All they care a bout is your money. You will NEVER hear back from any of your online teachers. I tried emailing a teaching with a question 3 times and not once did I hear back from the teacher. If for any reason you need to withdrawal they will not except it. Even if you withdraw a day or 2 after the deadline, they will make you pay every cent, even if you had good reason for the withdrawal. If you want to attend a college that cares about your needs and your success I would highly recommend choosing a different college because the only thing they care about at this college is getting your money. I appreciate Rasmussen University for having an abundance of resources and many professors and other staff members who demonstrate they want students to succeed. I especially have enjoyed being a peer educator, being privileged to work with Tammy Hopps who is an excellent supervisor and leader, and also being able to work with other peer educators who care for their peers as much as I do. I transferred from a local state college, which I considered sticking with to save money, but in reality, not much is saved when you compare the timeframe for graduation. At the state college it would take me an extra 2 whole years to receive my BSN, whereas at Rasmussen I save 2 years of time because of their second-degree BSN option. I am very pleased with the quality of technology – at the state school blackboard and other resources were slow and did not work as well on my cell phone, whereas with Rasmussen I can easily access everything I need from my phone when I'm on the go. It's inspiring to see so many single parents and married parents in school, some of which also work full time or part time like myself while completing their degree. I had such high hopes when enrolling at this school. However my experience hasn't been favorable at all. I am a current student and I was disappointed because even though I was able to enroll and start classes I really felt unsupported on this journey. I'm realizing Rasmussen may not be the school for me. I REALLY thought I would be supported and encouraged. I was made to feel that Rasmussen would be rooting for me through my academic journey. Instead I am bombarded with emails and calls telling me what I already know… I owe money. No calls or emails about how I can be helped to budget so that I can pay more toward the balance. I'm only being told: what I owe, to get the balance down to $500-$1000 and to take out loans; which will only put me in debt and it's too early to be taking out loans when I've been in school since September of 2021 and have 2 more years. Also this school doesn't cater to single parents, limited income and individuals that HAVE to work. This morning I called the university for the North Orlando Campus for the Nursing program and spoke to the director of Nursing who was discusstingly rude on the phone. I called to get information, He had no patience and told me Not to proceed a career in Nursing because it was Not for me. I will be completely honest. I did some PSEO courses here and thought it was a nice campus. There is some struggles and problems with the school, but nothing to make this not a choice for a college. Teachers are nice, most of the students are fine and just do there own thing, there is a couple of clubs and activities, and the class sizes see to be reasonable (smaller than JMHS). What a joke… My wages are currently being levied for a semester I did not even get to attend! The Financial Aid/Counselor I worked with helped me sign up for all the classes needed for that semester but did not inform me that I had no available financial aid. By the time, I discovered this (3 weeks into class) it was too late to withdraw without paying full price. I called multiple people at the school but all refused to help or did not know how to help. Terrible when it comes to visitors and what information they tell you. My sister is currently in this place and apparently I can’t visit her. When my mom called them, they told us “only two set visitors can show up to visit the patient.” Nowhere on the pamphlet did it say that. The pamphlet says “immediate family members are welcome to visit during the day” and “other family and friends may visit Monday-Friday”. Also, they said it’s a rule due to covid. Everybody in our family is vaccinated including my sister (the patient) + we haven’t been near anybody with covid at all. Thanks to the hospital to telling us about this policy, my brother and father have wasted just about 3 and a half hours of their day going to visit, told they can’t, and driving back. Also, what happened to the no electronics thing? Everybody was told she was not allowed near electronics, but all of a sudden, she’s allowed to have a zoom meeting via iPad? Spent 6 hours at this hospital. They don't seem to do anything but COVID. I told them multiple times I didn't have COVID but they wouldn't be convinced so they sent me home with no diagnosis, convinced they were right. Got my negative test result from them this morning but that doesn't help my 101 fever. People need to trust that a hospital will actually do their job instead of just assuming they know. I give this school ONE STAR. Why, let’s see, first, they stated I had an insufficient balance on my account. When not understanding why and trying to appeal it I had NO CHOICE but to pay $1836. And the only reason why I had to pay that balance off was because they were holding my transcript. Lastly, I moved across state and decided to pursue my career to live more stabled for myself and my family. I requested a transcript to be sent to the college I’m attending now, and it took a week for them to just send my transcript. Not only that, but they put FALSE INFORMATION on my transcript. They applied a school that I never attended to. Now, I had a deadline to put my application in for the nursing program in the new school I’m attending. I had to call CCC to fix this situation. They agreed they made the mistake and decided to send in a new transcript. So, I asked them to overnight it since it was there mistake. In my eyes, I thought it would not be an issue, but it was. They told me I had to pay for the overnight shipment. NOW, TELL ME WHY I WOULD DO THAT IF YOU GUYS MADE THIS HUGE MISTAKE! Finally I spoke with the Director of Admissions. She said she will take care of it. I finally felt a sense of relief, but that was a short while. After calling my primary college to see if they received the updated transcript, they told me NO, they have not. Again, calling CCC I asked them if they sent out the transcript overnight. The director told me yes. That moment I gave up. I waited until the following day. The Next day came and I called my primary school and again, NO, they did not receive it. So again, I called CCC and what happened, THEY NEVER SENT IT OUT! Now at this point I’m extremely angry but, trying to keep calm. The director told me she will have it sent out the following day. Now, I called to get a tracking number to be sure they sent it out and they are not picking up. I’ve tried to call since early morning around 8:30am and it was close to 3:00pm and still never received a call. The director was supposed to get back with me on that tracking number and nothing. BECAUSE OF THIS SCHOOL, my chances of getting into the nursing program is a 50, 50 chance because of a missing transcript that CCC MADE A MISTAKE ON SO I ADVISE PEOPLE BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO GO TO THIS SCHOOL JUST READ WHAT TRULY HAPPENED TO ME. The staff at CCC are very diverse. I graduated 10 years ago and I had my share of the terrible professors and some excellent ones. My main gripe is the financial aid office. I don't know how many times I had to go there and whatever I went there for didnt get fixed. Each person does their own thing and they don't run it by the others. The library is large and the staff are very informative. They'll help you locate what your looking for. There is a computer lab that has long hours to assist students that need to write up papers or just check an email. The student staff can help you with a program if you ask. Just make sure to sign in. Kevin McGarvey is an amazing English professor. I worked alongside with Bernie Castro and he is the one to ask about IT (I learned a lot from him). I know Frank Phillips is no longer staff here as he's retired but he was one of the best professors there is. With that being said, one of my professors was arrested. So, they can be hit or miss. When you truly value your education you'll work extra hard for what you want. Don't let others deter your dreams.Aria Davis

I originally went to this college as a kid and I did not take it seriously. As a result, I failed and went out into the real world. I learned a lot of life lessons that I didn't have to. After I got fired from my job of ten years, I went back. I was focused this time and college changed my life for the better. I made some good friends and I am on a career path that I really enjoy. I know the professors aren't the greatest, but you can still learn from them and be a self starter. Stay humble and have an open mind. Don't let anything distract you from your goal. Keep on top of your financial aide, apply for grants and scholarships, do your classwork and go out of your way to make your portfolio better. That's the mantra I followed and it worked. If I could put no stars I would. Okay so I was doing pretty well in the college at first all A's and B's everything was going great! Until I ended up having to help out with rent so I had to get a job, and being a mother also I am one of the few who would NOT want to put that much stress (job, kids, and school) on myself. So I call them and tell tell whoever (if only I remembered her name) my situation and how I won't be able to attend anymore, and she ends up asking me all these questions like why am I withdrawing and questions that shouldn't really be asked because she didn't even say it's policy or anything, she just wanted to know. So I tell her I'm starting my new job soon and she asked me the one question that just actually made me done with her, she asked, "Are you sure you're not able to do all 3?" as in all 3 she means taking care of my child, going to work, and going to school. Let that sink in. It actually made me even more frustrated because she was telling me that if I did now it would cost a lot to pay back, but listen if I have to withdraw I have to. There's no 'Are you sure you want to?' So they said they'd call and tell me the rest of the details so we can get through with the withdrawal process and I haven't gotten a call yet but what I did get was an attendance email from Outlook telling me that I won't be able for eligibility for my financial aid if I miss 14 days. Wow. So, I'm going to call them now because this is ridiculous and I do not have time. But if you do go to this school, please be careful. i know that other people will have a better experience or whatever. But this is not one of them.AiKitty Chan

I was excited to start my online career here. However the guy in admissions that was assigned to me was not for me. He was not personable at all I only spoke to him one time and that was for five minutes he never explained anything just said he will send me an email if assessments that was it never heard from him again I tried email him several times never received a email or a phone call until five day later stating to complete more assessments I had questions and he did not answer them . I tried calling to see if I could get someone new they said no I had to work with him. 1. They don’t offer free counseling to students. I can’t imagine a university not caring about their students mental health 2. The bus schedule to pick students up to bring them to the university is unclear and the coach for Soccer said she never sees it either 3. You don’t have a credit union. Many students don’t have credit and credit unions are a great/safe way to help students open up into that world. UW Green Bay has all of these things. I had an appointment with Stacy today. She took such good care of me. She was so attentive and kind. I had some filler misplaced by someone I thought was an experienced and very well known injector in Hollywood. I've been extremely discouraged and upset since the procedure. I've been to several other doctors in the area, basically begging for a solution, and no one gave me any hope since the product was one that is "non-dissolvable." Within minutes Stacy assured me that she could help. She helped dissolve this horrible embarassment and completely restored my happiness. I could not be more grateful. This office is amazing. I have had both my consultation and pre-op for my upcoming BA surgery. Dr. DeRoberts and the entire staff are so warm and welcoming. They do a great job at answering all your questions and truly listen to you and the results you wish to achieve. I live approximately 3.5 hours from this office and I have absolutely no problem traveling this far for their services. It is well worth the miles / price of gas. I saw Dr.Montague for the second time today and as with my first experience with him I was blown away with how kind, caring, and professional he is! I’ve been getting my lips done for a couple years now and recently my regular doctor was out and Dr. Montague was filling in (so thankful, or else I wouldn’t have known about him!) and he did my lips for the first time and I loved them! So even though switching doctors is highly frowned upon, I just had to switch to him permanently! He is as gentle as he can be, I had less bruising, and the shape is just perfect! I feel very thankful to have such a talented doctor doing my lips! Will be going back for many more injections I’m sure! Would absolutely recommend him to anyone. I thought about having a rhytidectomy for 4 years before making an appointment for a consultation. From my first encounter, it has been an exceptional experience. The staff is very professional and the facility is welcoming. Dr Lee is approachable and very easy to talk with. She makes sure that you understand everything. I felt very well cared for. My results are even better than I had hoped for. I can look in the mirror and not feel the disconnect between my appearance and the way I feel internally that I was having before. Going to the surgery center for a skin cancer Mohs procedure, I was focused on just getting though the day and getting out. As soon as I was walked in and saw the spa like interior of the building I started getting the idea that they are aiming for a luxurious ambience not clinical. When I was taken into the ultra clean and modern treatment room I was pretty impressed with the transparent to opaque window. The actual procedure and everything surrounding it was 100% confidence inspiring. Dr Ibrahim was wonderful and the assistant and his resident attending physician (my terminology might be off there) all combined to make me feel more than cared for. My procedure took quite a long time since they had to go back 4 times to get it all but it was as relaxing and calming as I could possibly imagine any medical procedure being. I left seriously impressed with the skill and caring nature of all the staff. The facilities are also top notch.Chris Ransdell

I've had medical procedures performed on me for seven and a half decades, from the usual childhood tonsils and appendicitis to the usual second childhood shoulder and knee replacements and other catastrophes in between. Most of these experiences have been good to excellent, some have been terrible. My experience at Rochester Dermatologic Surgery stands head and shoulders above the rest. Dr. Ibrahim was skilled, personable, reassuring, and explained the procedure in excellent detail. As a matter of fact, all staff with whom I had contact were exceptionally personable, helpful, considerate, and caring. Whether it was looking at pictures of Dr. Ibrahim's bike, discussing dining experiences at Simply Crepes, or places to walk in Rochester, the time passed delightfully. It was almost spa-like. From the second I entered to the second I left the office, every person I encountered was welcoming, positive, and professional. Everything was exceptionally clean, bright, and organized. The nurses and doctor explained every detail of what my surgery would entail. They made the procedure almost totally painless. I was checked on frequently while the tissue was being examined (35-40 minutes) and offered water and my choice of tv programs to watch. The doctor returned with the results (good news), and I was gave me detailed instructions on the care of my skin. The nurse then reviewed the post-op instructions and walked me out. Bassett hospital Is one of THE WORST hospitals you can possibly go to! Everyone I know calls it the butcher shop because of the way they treat their patients! I went their own time because I had suffered a chemical burn to the eye! I waited over 2 hrs to get the chemical thoroughly washed out and by then of course a lot of damage had been done. In the beginning I did not understand the severity of the damage. I was given some ointment with instructions for when and how to take it (by a general dr) well a few weeks later I started to rapidly lose my vision (was after hrs and I didn't know they didn't have eye professionals on for emergencies) I called Bassett up (at 1am) and frantically told them about my rapid vision loss. I was then told that there was no one on and to stop calling because I "only was looking for attention!" And "we don't have anyone here who can see you and we wouldn't call anyone in anyway! If it's that much of an emergency come in at around 7 when we have someone on who will see you!" By then it was too late! I had completely lost my vision in the right eye, which I used to have perfect vision in. By the time I got in and had all the tests done I was told that I needed to go to Albany to have my issue looked at. After about 10 hrs and 1 eye tap (similar to a spinal tap but in the eye) I was admitted to Albany Med for 2 weeks! And the doctors there were telling me that my eye was dead! And that if I would had gotten the issue treated sooner I could have prevented this! Thankfully after 4 surgeries and 7 years later my vision came back but it will never be the same again! Also I went there again fairly recently due to a kidney issue they again tried to accuse me if only being there for attention! Turned out in my sample there were small kidney stones! And another visit was for a wisdom tooth that broke. I went to get an antibiotic and some pain killer and one of the doctors were nasty when they asked me if I had a primary care doctor which I don't. There are so many other stories I could share about Bassett neglect towards their patients but here are mine. Use them at your own risk!jamie terpenning

I don’t even know where to begin. My husband’s grandfather has been in and out of this hospital a few times in the past month due to heart issues. This place is literally the most unprofessional and unorganized facility I have had the displeasure of speaking with. The nursing staff is beyond rude and are way too busy to speak with family. This visit alone we have been told multiple times that the staff is too busy to talk to the family. The staff doesn’t make sure that the patient has the call bell in reach so the family needs to call the nurses station to let the staff know that the patient needs to be tended to. This facility has gone down hill for sure. What is the point of having a medical POA or emergency contact list when no one updates the family for any reason. When you call to ask to speak to someone about a complaint you are put on hold and no one picks up on the other end. You are told to call during business hours. When you call during business hours you are told that no one has time to speak and it would be better to call later. When your family is in the hospital you should feel comfortable that they are safe and getting cared for. That is definitely not the case for this health care system.Nicole Crawford

Went to Bassett with breathing problems and a constant cough.. they acted like they were all concerened in the ER with my low o2 reading and high pulse rate and decided to admit me and thats when the care began to dwindle away. I spent over 24 hours just for them to say every result from xray, CT SCAN w/ contrast, ekga ad all the blood work came back normal. After I had to ask them about the results before they mentioned anything. 24 hours after receiving the tests. Doctors act like your just another number. In and out as fast as they can. When they switch doctors after a shift ,the communication is horrible as the new doctor knows nothing . Now I'm left coughing constantly and looking for a better hospital as my O2 levels are still below 90!Jeremy Campagna

I’m finding a new vet. Stat. So, when I brought her in for her first appointment and got her nails trimmed, they cut her and made her bleed and sent her back out to us without putting something on her for the bleeding. Strike One. When thought my dog is pregnant, they told me to Google her prenatal care what I asked for advice. Strike two. Today, I brought her in for a vaccine and nail trim. The tech was TERRIFIED of my VERY FRIENDLY pitbull and only trimmed 1 nail, said she trimmed 3… and was just completely unprofessional. I will be finding a new vet office STAT because they’re Extremely Judgmental when it comes to handling Pitbulls, no matter how friendly they are. If I could rate ZERO stars, I would.Cherea Smith

Never ending sales pitch about some weird monthly plan (versus just fairly pricing their services?). I expressed I was put off by the concept of this plan and that it sounded shady to me, and they WOULD NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT IT even after I gave them all the reasons I was not interested. They even mentioned it one last time as they were ringing me out!! Any company that is so pushy about locking you into a monthly payment is up to no good. Worst of all, the vet seemed oddly disinterested in me and my pet during the physical exam which felt rushed. Will not come back here.Kim Van Dam

Friendly staff. Our 2 pups are high energy so they always get us in to a room promptly. We have seen all the Vet's there and they are all wonderful. They always send time talking to me and ddressing any of my concerns and explaining things to my husband and I. Chester and Cami are not scared to go to the Vet because they thi k it's the "treat store" since they get so spoiled while they are there. We are always able to promptly get our dogs in when they have issues and we have never had any problems here. (Cami and Chester waiting patiently to see the Vet.)Melissa Duprey

I was referred to Dr. Park for my son to get his 1 tooth extracted, and bc we would not "consent" to allow: "whatever is necessary", without prior review with parents. He refused treatment bc we wouldnt allow him to capitalize on his time. Disgusting. He wanted to jack up the medicaid or basically it wasnt worth his time. "to prevent further coming back".. stop it. Its a scam… they were doing the most when we were tryin for the least….. Thank GOD i can FINALLY afford real dental insurance. Medicaid dentists… keep you in line by only offering 1 office in a 200 mile radious.."sorry maam no app. avail for 3-4 months". They would only see him if it was an EMERGENCY… now they wanna do all this stuff in one fail swoop WITHOUT discussion prior.. WE HAD MONTHS TO PREPARE THIS VISIT.. WE JUMPED THRU SO MANY HOOPS… but not once did they mention what they were tryin to do. Shame. my current priviledge is gonna help me, but what about all those kids who cant go anywhere else… who's parents maybe dont know to advocate for themselves for more control over their care… ughk.. this was a travesty.. terrible doctor, terrible principals and worst practice i EVER experienced… god help medicaid pts in nystate🤬Jennifer Stenuf

My daughter went through severe hand surgery with Dr. Ketosis and he did not even give her anything but numbing medicine in her hand. She has carpal tunnel and some very bad cysts in her hand, while she sat there dealing with the pain and watching him dig in her hand! What the hell is your problem doc you think that is not painful?! While tears ran down her cheek he tells her "Well it doesn't help your watching" . REALLY DOC?! She had carpal tunnel surgery on her other hand and they gave her an IV so she fell asleep and woke up with it already done. I just don't understand why a different surgeon would be so evasive but I DO NOT ADVICE ANYONE to use this doctor!!! Very dissappointed and concerned motherHeather Simpson

This place has gone above and beyond, from the moment you walk in and through the while time your here every person you come in contact with is nice and friendly, it doesnt seem like theres any stress level, beyond the mask you can tell people are all smiles. Being a surgery center patients and family are nervous and just being here has made mine and my husbands nerves go away and we feel at ease. Its comforting, peaceful, calm, clean, quiet and just an amazing place to have such a great experience. I cant thank the staff enough for all they did for us and all of the great care. I wasn’t sure what to think about Rasmussen because I’ve heard mixed reviews from my coworkers. I was pleasantly surprised to find out this is the college to go to school if you’re a parent wanting to be a nurse. I am married and have three kids under 8 years old and I work in the hospital full time, and I’m succeeding. From my fellow coworkers, I KNOW this is the fastest program to get your nursing degree. I love my professors. I absolutely love the diversity of my professors and fellow students. I know that some have complained about the professors intelligence level. My professors are all very educated. Sometimes if English isn’t the first language, anybody would speak a little slower. This gives you an education you wouldn’t get anywhere else because you’re learning from people who are different than you but usually more intelligent as they had to work harder to get their degree because English was not their first language! Or at least equally as intelligent. People also on occasion complain about the price. I have done the math and at the speed I’m completing my degree, I will have saved more because I’ll have the degree at least a year prior to my fellow coworkers going to more affordable schools I also had Sara Packard as my advisor and she was phenomenal. She almost always replied back to my emails within an hour, and I asked A LOT of questions. Without Sara, I would have never been able to start up as quickly as possible without her quick start worksheet list of things I needed to complete. Thank you so much Rasmussen!Amber Broring

This is my second week at Rasmussen. It is challenging, but no school is easy. So far, the best thing I have encountered at this school is the support that the school incorporates together to help the students. My admission went well because I got a lot of help from my admission advisor, Brittany. She kept me alert and on track throughout the entire process. I strongly agree to listen to her advice if you plan to get your admission process completed on time. Another thing I'm pleased to have is Personal Support Center. Just like Brittany and the admission process, I got all my technical issues solved through Personal Support. Both of these two parties are well-hired for the job. You will like the support team here if you go to this school. Supports and admission definitely earn 5 stars.k yang

DO. NOT. GO. HERE. If I could give this school zero stars I would. The nursing administration and program is a joke. All they care about is swindling you out of money. They intentionally kept me from being able to retake an exam so I would have to retake a course again. Visit the BBB website and read for your self, the aren’t accredited by the BBB and they literally have a 1.19 rating out of 5 and after reading the filed complaints from other previous students it’s easy to see why. There are multiple classes that 40% of your grade is dependent on ATI exams, not the course content, so you can literally pass the class portion but still fail the course due to ATI. It’s a joke.Jaime H

The place was great to go, even as a large group of 9 people. We are first were a little crowded but when the second portion of the escape room opened up there was no issue for us to move around freely. There were so many puzzles going on simultaneously that none of us felt left out or bored. The areas for us to keep our stuff felt very secure and didn't intrude with the game at all. There were many hints to the puzzles left throughout the room and oftentimes we were overthinking things. Loved this experience and it's great for all levels of puzzle players. 10/10 would definitely go back, especially with how late they are open at night. Their photo booth options were great as well, very unique to other escape rooms I've been to.Circle Cole

We are from NC and do escape rooms all the time and this place was so different and so much fun! The scavenger rooms are good for letting little kids join in and Gabriel helped our 5 year old daughter feel included in solving and finding. Plus there was some confusion about our booking online and the friendly staff and manager fixed everything so we wouldn’t get over charged. Overall, it was a great experience and everyone there was amazing. We liked it so much we brought the rest of our family the following day and ended up doing all the rooms.Sarah Gardner

We had a great time at this escape room. We had two adults and 6 children ages 9-11 and they had an absolute blast. We did the infirmary room. There were enough puzzles to figure out that we all were dividing and conquering and the kids were able to solve so many of them. All of the kids are hopeful to visit again and to tackle the game room! Thanks so much for a great time! We went as a birthday gift for my daughter, but after being there and seeing the birthday party space, I can definitely see using it for a party in the future.Hannah Hermanson

I went in to get my mirena IUD today. Was pretty nervous about the whole thing and although I’ve been doing over a years research on it, I was so nervous talking to the nurse (Jasmine who was great) about it today I forgot everything I knew about it, she was very helpful and comforting in telling me effects, the procedure, anything I needed to know about it. The procedure was very quick just painful cramps (they were not fun cramps) the doctor and nurse helping me were great with conversing and keeping me distracted. After (and a bit during) I started feeling pretty loopy considering how stressed my body was then just flying back to normal, so they were moderate of me and kept me there for a bit until my pain meds kicked in, giving me water and crackers to nibble on. I was a bit embarrassed how bad my cramps were and how dramatic I was being but the girls reassured me it was normal and made sure I didn’t leave until I felt safe and comfortable (as comfortable as you can get after having your uterus yanked.) I now sit at home in my bathtub feeling very relieved and dominant of the thought that planned parenthood is such a wonderful place as I always have. They have helped so many women who can’t afford women’s healthcare for so many years in so many ways. Thank you pp for making this an easy, relieving trip. And thank you for all the work you continuously and courageously pursue.Madison Pritchard

The nurses are wonderful but the lady I experienced at the front desk was very rude and condescending. After I told her what I was there for, a free 12 month prescription that I was prescribed by a nurse, I was met with, "no, you have to pay." And "mmm, I dont think so." After a minute or two looking at my file she said, "hmm. Okay. Free because of income. " She then called me up to the counter and said, "actually you have to pay. Its under 10." I make less than what I did when I was prescribed this medication. I asked why and she said my income changed. Then says, "okay its $15." So first it's no, then it's free, then it's under $10, now its $15? I left feeling irritated and definitely embarrassed. Please don't make me feel less for not being able to pay. Keep your comments to yourself before figuring out the entire situation. And actually figure out the entire situation without throwing dollar signs at me out of nowhere.Jaimee Burrell

Awesome staff, Jasmine was my first nurse (or nurse assistant) and talked me through choosing new birth control. I felt so comfortable, my doctor was incredibly supportive and informative and helpful. (I hope someone will tell them all of this! I was there october 26th). The receptionist was great too because I had lost my insurance card and she helped me look up all of my information.Alexandra B
