20 Best Physician Assistant Programs In Miami, FL (2022 Updated)

Its a bit hard to rate an entire university. I'll preface this with the fact that I'm rating from a students perspective and won't be factoring in cost to attend in my review. First, the university is big and beautiful. All the old brick buildings give a nice general vibe to the campus. Uptown is also a nice social hub for the weekends, fit with bars, restaurants, and Bagel and Deli. There are plenty of people on campus to befriend and plenty of clubs to find like minded people with. Second, the classes. I've had great classes so far, not finding any "bad" professors. For context, my classes have revolved around computer science and math. Mileage may vary, I haven't taken every class. Third, the food. The included meal plan gives access to meal halls which have a wide array of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some items, like cereal or pizza, are guaranteed every day of the week, with other entrées being cycled out each day. Its good at first,, but these dining halls are functuonally mean to be eaten at daily. After a while of that, the food quickly becomes just edible. The Armstrong center has a bunch of restaurants that require payment like normal, however they don't accept meal plan swipes or their equivalent value, something I've seen in much smaller universities. This food is actually good, but eating here isn't sustainable for the aforementioned reason. Paying at these locations means you're really paying twice. Once for the food, and again for the meal swipe you've essentially wasted. For this reason, I've taken a star. Lastly, I feel safe on campus. Their transparency with active police activity sent to your email along with their crime and fire reports each year indicate this campus is a pretty safe place to be. Its in basically the middle of nowhere, the campus being its own town. In fact, Miami University outsources their own police department to the town its inside of.Jack Duvall

No matter the season, this campus is a beautiful place to be! It has all the feelings of being in a Hallmark holiday movie.. the campus is absolutely gorgeous..The Fall foliage, to the flowers that are planted along campus during the spring and Summer.. or the gorgeous art and architecture that is around with the beautiful winter snow.. We were there because our daughter graduated. She really enjoyed the experience. Miami is a beautiful well cared for campus. The staff was always very pleasant and helpful to me. We love staying at the Marcum Conference Center. If we had to do it all over again WE WOULD!Caroline Rivers

A magnificent Santiago Calatrava masterpiece sits centrally as the main campus building. Thematic symmetry is maintained throughout the 170-acre project. "IST", the main building is a photographer's dream. Ambient light is so ample here that it would force even the most amateur of picture taker to take out their phones & start taking pictures. A relatively new STEM University in Florida, the site, the design, planning – all point to a grand education enterprise for the future generations. WiFi is readily available. The dorm buildings claim design and architectural milestones of their own, same goes for the "Student Wellness Center" (gym with swimming pool). The cafeteria has buffet style service for full meals & fast food. A futuristic aura presents itself from the very entrance of this campus. Jogging trails, bike Lanes and acres of green – all make for an inviting scene from the beginning. There are ample parking, with designated areas for the visitors. More is being added to this campus daily. A casual campus visit makes for a wonderful experience. Our son is going to join this coming weekend for the 22/23 academic year and we have been extremely please the the excellent on-boarding program and personal attention provided by the staff to have a most smooth start into the student life. Excellent materials provided. Regular on-boarding trainings. And – on top of that it was is great to receive personal calls by the staff to prospective students and parents "just to make sure that all is ok and that any open questions are answered". A university full of opportunity! I am a junior in the Electrical Engineering program. Due to the small class sizes, I know many professors personally and work with them on projects. Clubs are fun and offer a multitude of leadership positions for those interested. I never had a chance to visit barry university before enrolling and I wound up not liking the area. The area outside of it is very ghetto and the dorms are smaller than what is shown on the layout online. I didn't feel safe in the general area so I withdrew from the university during the grace period where I should've gotten a 100% refund on classes and an 80% refund on housing. It's been almost two months since I signed and dated the form where I only agreed on paying 20% for housing and 0% for classes. I had not gone to any classes and now I am moved out and enrolled in a different college. I am still being given hell on this process where they were only responsible for calculating the 20% on housing that I owed and signing a withdrawal form. It's taken them two months to do these simple tasks that should've been made a priority and I was told it would be. I am now being billed for $7,050 for classes. For what classes? I hadn't gone to any and withdrew during the grace period. I have copies of my withdrawal form stating what I signed for and printed copies of the official website stating the corresponding dates and percentages for refunds and billing. They are now either going to resolve this issue right away or I will be in the process of sueing the university. This is ridiculous. The only person I can say actually had done their job was my academic advisor who also agreed that this process has been a ridiculous money scam.Miranda Moran

What can I say: I love Barry. Even though I live way up here in Jax, I commuted down there for classes once a month. It was worth it to me. I’m in the PhD nursing program and I can say it really changed my life. Dr. Jessie Colin, who is also my chair, is the most intelligent and remarkable person I have ever met. The 5 stars is for her and how she is running the doctoral program. Thank you Dr. Colin! The rest of the nursing faculty are also wonderful. Lovely women (too many to name). I’m so glad I made the decision to come to this school. I’ve learned so much that this post would be too long to describe it all! It’s an intellectually challenging program, so be ready to learn. This school in general really focuses on social justice. If you are not open minded to multi-culturalism and discovering new ways of thinking outside of the norm, this may not be the school for you. I tell people this because I know how the culture is in America today (ignorance is bliss). You have to accept to live the ‘Barry Life’, which is being open to culture and seeking justice for those whose voices might go unheard. Like some say on other reviews, yes, the area in which the school is in is kinda sketchy. And be prepared, the student parking is awful. The biggest parking lot is a couple blocks away and you have to take a shuttle to get to the campus. It’s a small campus but quite beautiful.904 CZV

Barry University is the worst. I was enrolled for one semester in 2013. The way the school system is set up is terrible. NO ONE is on the same page, rarely will credits transfer, teachers do not truly care or seemed interested in making personal relationships (mind you this is a PRIVATE college), and lastly…getting your transcripts sent to other colleges is the HARDEST. They go through different programs like "Transcripts on Demand" so there's no help from Barry because they don't even know whats going on in the transcript process. They just buy some company to come handle all of their students and transcripts for them. My transcripts are now late being sent to two different colleges and its been over a month since I sent my consent form (since when do you need a consent form to sent transcripts…usually you pay a fee and that's that). I love Columbus State and this is why: Before Columbus State: Growing up, I was never interested in the information taught in school, because I did not feel like it was applicable to the real world. After a year at a private college, I was originally apprehensive to restart college at any college. I was also scared of a community college. I grew up in Michigan, and I felt like our local community colleges had negative stigmas attached to them. Luckily, my older brother took me into the application office in Delaware, OH to take the entrance exam. I believe I tested out of an english and/or a math class. While at Columbus State: I would like to note that I always attended C-State as I held a part time job (10-20 hours a week). I originally attended an EMT-B class at Columbus State. The class was more challenging than I had anticipated and was pretty time consuming. I received a B in this course, but found employment immediately in the field and felt confident in my skills. A year later, I returned to C-State with the desires to go to nursing school. Thanks to ample meetings with advisors in Health and Human Services, I decided to take some prerequisite nursing classes as there was a waiting list to apply for their nursing program (while I worked part time as an EMT-B). During this year, I found more confidence in my work and studies, feelings of support and encouragement from staff, and rewards from hard work. I was also able to sign up easily for academic accommodations for the first time in my life! I loved my time at Columbus State within this year! I never thought I would love school or receive my first 4.0 GPA in the spring and summer semesters. For the first time, school finally felt fulfilling for me. After Attending Columbus State: I decided to leave C-State after a full academic year, and I pursued a BSN degree through another local school. I often look back at my time at C-State and regret that I did not take more classes here while saving a decent amount of money! I would suggest night classes if you are willing and able. I found that students were more likely to be hard working, more mature, disciplined, and also employed. I also found professors who taught night classes were often from OSU and more understanding. Generally my teachers were all very competent, funny, and held experience in the world. The only negative experience that I found was dealing with C-Stat's Police department staff and accessing their gym/locker room. Students must sign up manually for the gym locker rooms every semester at C-State's Police department and then wait for several days for your card to be accepted from security/police. This system seems dated and non-productive. I feel like this process should be easily automated. This issue led to a negative experience I had with a police officer that identified as Sergeant Diamond. I felt like this officer escalated my personal situation while being disrespectful and patronizing. Another time I was eating a meal in my car between classes when a police car pulled up to me and asked why I was parked between two spots in an empty parking lot and then asked me to pick a spot. I'm sure the police department deals with things they don't want to. I could have been lucky and experienced two poor attitudes on hard days, but I do not feel like the police department is fulfilling their mission that states they want to provide "exceptional customer service" for their students based on my only two experiences with them. I would take a look at how the police staff is trained at C-State.Connor Hill

I have enjoyed Columbus State and majority of the people I’ve met here while on track to my BA but this college needs some serious restructuring. The biggest thing I wish Cstate would look into is their faculty. When I go to ratemyprofessor.com and see many of them at a 1 to 2 star rating, that concerns me. I have personally had good and bad professors here and majority of the good ones were adjunct professors, the bad ended up being tenured faculty. I wish the college would look into the gripes students have and start to question whether or not they should be hiring adjunct professors to replace them. The only other major issue I’ve had is from advisors. The point of the advisor is to advise the student on their education path, but when I have a genuine question or concern, interrupting/having a snarky attitude doesn’t come off as professional to me. One last thing, please talk with the finance department about putting a budget together for another parking garage. I don’t go during peak hours anymore but when I did parking was atrocious. It will be 6 weeks this semester (Spring 2019) before CSCC releases financial aid refunds. I cannot believe they get away with this! OSU is 9 days after the start of the semester! Some people rely on these excess funds to survive another semester of school! This should be illegal and I’m pretty sure it is because according to federal financial aid funds are to be released up to a max of 14 days after the start of a semester! Insane to make people wait 6 weeks+ to receive their refund. Also, parking is obnoxious here any time of day. It also seems to me that each department does not have a good linear structure of teaching so each professor is just kind of doing their own thing whichever way they feel like doing it. Some classes are too long some are too short. It really feels like no one is in control here it’s just a free for all I guess. Employees are not friendly in any way shape or form. Currently attending and have been struck with how little people here care about their students’ education. I’ve called for advisors to help me with transfer papers and financial aid to ask about my scholarship money (they never refunded it back to me) and I’ve been hung up, transfered to other lines, and even worst… gotten a voicemail saying they’re not available even after calling 5 times during different days and hours. It’s as if the faculty here doesn’t work. The professors are mediocre, really lazy and most have an accent that is hard to understand. Never answer to emails either and don’t help their students pass. I’ve gotten all As and one B but that’s due to how much I tried and stressed myself since I didn’t get any help here. Currently working on my transfer out of state to get out of this school as soon as possible.Adriana Alva

Ever since the pandemic, it’s been difficult getting a hold of different departments and professors. When you sign up for a class, they usually cancel the class for the semester for various reasons. They don’t communicate changes in policy i.e. when you enroll for a class and your funding doesn’t come through, they no longer automatically drop you from the class so they expect you to pay for that class, even if you didn’t take it. Apparently they no longer automatically drop you for non-payment. It’s an unethical practice. Students should be notified of this policy change. The only bright side of this school has been the Access program. They’ve always answered calls and provided help.Kim Sanchez

Glitchy system that logs in when it feels like it, making me pay for classes I DID NOT TAKE and sent me to collections. Staff may lack 3rd grade education let alone college, the only thing they can direct you to is the bathroom. Appealing anything takes several tries and a firework display over Bayside spelling out "stop screwing me i.d. #000000000". Best thing I could've done for myself is not even bother with MDC. Take i.t./networking related classes through Netacad directly. Save the hundreds of dollars, time, and headaches.Javier C

I have had the misfortune of hiring now 9 girls from UT on a rotating schedule( when they have availability). I know a total of 12 girls that have either recently graduated, are in nursing programs, or 2 that are currently in masters programs, the 9 that worked/Ing for me are either recent grads, in their masters program, or a rising senior… So… now of these girls, even though they are nice have any queslificariona to work.. 6 out 9 which 3 of those 6 are or were in honors programs. Have no clue what they are going to do after school. Most complained about the treatment and the overall vibe of the campus. The 4 out of 12 girls that I know are graduated and with a Bachelors degree in Nursing or teaching can’t even find a job and are working in low level paying jobs… practically a step up from min. Wage. This university does not produce graduates that have a impact on the world. The quality of person who is going here 8 out of 10 is not the person you want working for you… This is a school for people who are good test takers but not ready or prepared to be in the real world at all… Go to bigger school that’s not private – private universities answer to know one which is not so good.. especially when it comes to the quality of graduates they are producing and putting out into the world. Which seems subpar at best. Save yourself the hassle, go to a public university. Like USF is bigger, better diversity, better teachers, bigger endowment, better statics with the type of person they produce back into the working world. Beautiful school in a great location, however, if you're looking for a good school with good academics DO NOT COME HERE. The nice look of the school and large dorm rooms is about all it has to offer. As a freshman I went through three advisors in one year without any notification of having mine switched, and I also told my current advisor that I am transferring several times; but I keep receiving emails from them telling me I still have to register for next semester. The advisors here are not really that helpful at all. When you contact any facilities they either take weeks to respond, or do not respond at all. The grading scale is also very odd, so take a look at that as well. My first semester I had all A's and one AB and that brought my GPA down to a 3.8, when in most colleges an A- will bring your GPA down to around 3.9. The wifi is almost nonexistent unless you're using a computer in the library. Please do not invest your money here and go to a more accredited and student friendly college, so you do not have to waste time and stress looking to transfer out of here like many freshman do.Morgan Lowe

My daughter played soccer for Saint Thomas University. It wasn’t the most organized, but she enjoyed her time playing. There was normal girl drama that I wish females didn’t have to deal with, but it is what it is. She walked on, and transferred in from Texas and was never really welcomed as a recruit, but she made the best of her situation and was a key starting player for her team. While attending the University they hired a new dean. I had some contact with him, and I understand he is trying to turn things around for the university. They need to hire better quality professors, and better quality staff. I had the pleasure of working with Alex Matolcsy | Financial Counselor/Collector in Office of Financial Affairs, and he was the one consistent person who always had the answers and replied to emails in a timely manner. I love STU. The classrooms are smaller than other universities so it’s easier to learn and get one on one with the professors. When it comes to student life, CAB has it covered. Students have a variety of activities to participate in as well as many extra curricular activities. The campus is also heavily guarded by campus security, 24/7 so it always feels safe.Nadya Hanna

Great university and very nice campus! Saint Joseph's University (SJU) is a private, coeducational Roman Catholic Jesuit university located in west Philadelphia. This school is the bomb dot com. One of the admissions officers, James, gave us a review of what they look for upcoming students, overview of the school, as well as costs. Yes, he answered any questions that we had. Hailey was out your guide for the campus tour and she was from VA just like us. She and my daughter connected during the tour and my daughter was able to ask her various questions during the tour as well as the other students. Be prepared to do a lot of walking on the campus tour, so dress comfortably and wear some comfortable shoes. We happened to tour on a day that the heat index was 121 degrees, but the campus kept us hydrated with cold, bottled water. Honestly, I thought I knew quite a bit about the school. Yet, I learned so much more. Don't count them out because they have a lot to offer for everyone. It's not too small and not too big. A great medium sized campus in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Don't forget to check out Hawk Hill. Most of all, remember that the Hawk never dies!!TheHawksTV

St. Joseph's University, unfortunately like many colleges around the world, is run by corporate types who care nothing about education and ethics. They continue to hire part-time professors who are low-paid and receive no benefits. There are no requirements for incoming 1st-year students, and professors are pressured to retain poor students so that the college doesn't lose their sky-high tuition. Incoming students are offered various government loans and financial assistance to get them in the door. This is the reason students carry terrible financial burden into adulthood–and the tuition costs just keep rising! The SJU administration does not support the professors, the students (unless they are exceptional basketball players), vigorous academic education, or the integrity one would expect from the Jesuits. I attended Florida National University for my Bachelor's as well as my Master's and it was well worth it. My experience started with the excellent teachers that care about the student as an individual. I was happy with all my instructors but there were two instructors that stood out the most. Dr. Bullen and Dr. Gonzalez are both great instructors who guided me in being able to accomplish my end goal which was to graduate with as much knowledge as possible. Through their guidance they motivated me and passed to me much of their vast experience. They played a big part in guiding me in my academic journey and if I had any questions or doubts I could always count on them to be available to answer any questions in a satisfying manner. My Name is Manuel Insua and I can tell you Florida National University is the best school I have ever attended. My experience as student was very good. I was considered one of the top student in my classroom, I graduated with 3.87 GPA. My name always appear in the Dean list with 4.00 average. Of course I studied very hard. The professors were excellent. The priority of this school are always the students. They frequently check the student how they are doing. The only thing that this school needs is to be more organized with the clinical should not interfere with your classes. I went back to Florida National University to work as a professor. But two frustrated students from Kaiser University file a complain and my classroom was cancelled after the second week. I have really enjoyed being a student and I recommend this school to anyone, in my case for the Ultrasound program at South Campus, where people know you, care about you and are willing to mentor you. Staff is super nice people that do their part to make it happen for you. Instructors always were willing to help and instruct give guidance whenever needed, they are very well educated and always ready to provide services for any students to be successful, and you can tell that they enjoy what they are teaching. They were above what I expected. The only complaint I have is that the program is no accredited and you have to take an extra test before present to the ARDMS, but at the end you prepare more. Overall, being a part of Florida National University South Campus was such an amazing experience. I found myself learning something valuable from every class that I took.Carolina Vigna

I can't say anything about the school's academic program, because I only attended for a very short period of time, but their admissions and financial staff are the least trust-worthy bunch I've ever dealt with in an institutional setting. The first time I visited the school, it was for an informational tour where I met up with the admissions office's assistant dean. He asked to see my transcript and resume, and immediately offered me admissions on the spot. Both my boyfriend (who accompanied me) and I were shocked. I was a very good student, and have gotten full scholarship offers before, but have never had a college that accepted me before I even filled out an application. While I was still trying to take everything in, the assistant dean of admissions went to talk to someone and then came back and offered me a scholarship package that would have covered most, if not all, of my tuition. He also gave me an admissions paperwork and urged me to fill it out before leaving. I was still pretty much undecided, but in the end decided to take him up on the offer due to influences from family and friends. Lo and behold, shortly after classes have started, I found out that the scholarship they actually assigned to me was minimal because they said I had missed the deadline for the scholarship for which I was promised. Thus, requiring me to obtain a loan to pay for the bulk of my tuition. I went to speak to the assistant dean of admissions who had promised me the larger scholarship, because I didn't understand why I "missed the deadline" when I had filled out all the paperwork he said was needed for admissions, financial aid and scholarships the same day of the tour (including FAFSA and all other forms he gave me that day). Aside from apologizing and telling me he didn't know what happened, he couldn't do anything to help me get that scholarship he had promised. I told him I couldn't afford that much loan and, in the end, he advised me to back-date and submit a withdrawal form so that the tuition would be zeroed-out (since I was only 2 days past the refund deadline). He assured me that the backdating would take care of my tuition and I wouldn't have to be responsible for it. Once again, I listened to him. Of course, things once again didn't turn out as he had said. After I've withdrawn, I got a call from the financial office to meet with a financial personnel, who told me that the tuition could not be written off because the withdrawal form could not be back-dated, even if it's approved or advised by the admissions assistant dean. I explained to her my situation and how I had enrolled due to a promise of scholarship, and that I had to withdraw because I couldn't afford the tuition due to the scholarship didn't come through for reasons that were not my fault. She called the assistant dean and he confirmed everything that I've said, yet she still denied the tuition forgiveness just because it was 2 days past the official refund period – this in spite of the fact that everything that has led up to my withdrawal was due to misinformation given to me by their administration. There was no compassion. It's all about money. During the entire meeting with her, I did not cry, but tears were streaming down my face. When I walked out of her office, fleeting thoughts of jumping down the second-story railings crossed my mind over and over again. I wanted to use my death to protest and to voice the incredible anguish that the University had pushed upon me. Thankfully, I quickly remembered each time that I still had a very sick mother waiting for my care. Whether the assistant dean had the best intentions in mind, I do not know. All I know was that if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have enrolled in that school, and I wouldn't have withdrawn (if I was going to have to pay for the tuition anyways, then I might as well stay to earn the credits). I was young, I was naive. It was shameful of the school to mislead and then refused to take any responsibility – putting all the burdens on a young person with a mentally-ill single mother.W T

This is the 1st college of pharmacy in the USA. However, Usciences market themselves as being the best college of pharmacy in the USA, although the rankings says otherwise. They are not the best AT ALL. During a tour years ago with my son, the school claimed that they are better than Drexel and Upenn (ivy league). They said their equipment was more advanced , their education is better, research opportunities, etc.. Who are educating the tour guides?? Usciences offer limited majors. Only in a few sciences. What about the other sciences? Technology, mathematics, engineering, etc? The school is misleading and I wouldn't recommend this school. They want to be something they are not. If they don't offer more majors soon, they will shutdown. I also agree with some of the other comments. The staff talks a lot of politics.. Also, a lot of Philadelphians or people living in the surrounding area never heard of the school. This is probably due to the limited majors.Thomas B. Smith

University of the Sciences is an amazing school for anyone looking to pursue a degree in the field of health care, or the general sciences. From my own experience as a student here, we began working together as a health care team and learning about our future professions from day one. When I initially came into this school I wanted to eventually go into their graduate program. The admissions advisor told me that I would have a higher change if I got my undergrad there as well. So I did. I graduated with a 3.4, the teachers were amazing and then I go to apply for my graduate program. Due to covid the interview was over the phone. The gentleman that interviewed me asked me why I wanted to go into mental health and I explained to him how in the past I had a substance abuse problem (I wanted to be as honest as I could) because I had been saved and I felt like my purpose was to be a vessel of god and help others. The minute I said that to him he answered “I AM SORRY BUT I DONT KNOW HOW I WILL BE ABLE TO PRESENT YOU IN FRONT OF THE COMMITTEE” “MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE SOME TIME OFF”. He did finish the interview but weeks later I received a letter saying that I was denied admission to the school. I was already in the school, so I called and no one understood why I wasn’t accepted. My advisor was confused, my teachers and myself. When I asked why I wasn’t accepted so that I can work on it and fix it no one knew. They said the committee looks at different things and decides. I had classmates with lower GPAs that were admitted, I had one friend who had failed a class and was admitted and I wasn’t admitted simply because I have a past with mental health. I asked to email someone so I may get an answer as to why this happened. They didn’t even send me the proper letter stating I wasn’t accepted into the program. No one ever got back to me and honestly it shattered me because here I am paying 3 times the amount of a state university to be discriminated by my past. I personally did not like the college. I decided to leave after one semester because I didn’t feel the Christian culture as I should have. They don’t cater to commuter students. And the professors that I had didn’t care if you learned or not. The people in student services were rude to me and it showed me their true colors. They are nice when they want you to apply and mean after you apply. They lie and say they have scholarships to offer you and then in the end you have to take out loans. They chose my classes because I was a freshman and I didn’t like most of my teachers. They also put me in the wrong math class and when I transferred out it took so long that I already miss majority of the work and had to drop the class altogether. I wouldn’t recommend this college at all. They were expensive for no reason. I also didn’t like that they force you to do community service. When offering to the community it should be our choice because it will be in good will and our own choice. I got scammed by getting a 10k grant and got stuck with owing the school WAY more then was suppose to. I don’t attend this institution, I happened to be visiting a friend the day I went to this school. I felt compelled to write a review because I was really impressed by the effort this school makes to create a really nice environment for the student. The staff is super warm and nice, I was given a short tour which is the reason why I decided to write this review. My friend tells me that the teachers at this school are very dedicated to the learning process of the student and are always trying to find ways to make the learning experience more enjoyable. I would even recommend this school solely by the hunch I had as soon as I walked in, you can tell as soon as you talk to their personnel that they are genuinely invested in creating a great experience for anyone that decides to join them. I Took a medical assistant course with FVI and went straight into there nursing program they are truly very student oriented and advocate for there students from allied health to undergrad courses. I had the pleasure of being enrolled by Lina and I was happy that she is someone who is straight to the point with things and helps you breeze through the process to be able to start your class without any problems. Lina was great in answering any questions and giving resources available for our success. I’d recommend anyone interested in joining the nursing program to look for Lina.Dianne Novoa

If I could break this into 2 sections, i would give 1 star to the first section and 5 to the second section. First section of our visit was labor and delivery. My wife and i had a scheduled c-section for September 21 2022 at 8.45 am. We arrived to the hospital at 6.30 am to be ready for it. Our Dr advised us that there were a couple of emergency C sections so we will be delayed. Understandable no problem till then. Our C-section was performed at about 10 am. Everything went great. However, after the operation was done we were put in the recovery room where we were supposed to stay for 2 hours postpartum. But, we ended up staying in the recovery area for more than 12 hours in total, meaning my wife was on a stretcher for that long, not even a hospital bed. All the patients that were next to us were transferred to rooms before us even though we were the first ones to arrive there in the morning and the first ones to have our baby delivered. At some point post operation my wife spent nearly 5 hours without a nurse checking her pad. I had to be the one to call the nurse and tell her she hadn’t been checked. I spoke to our nurse and to the nurse in charge about our room situation and nobody could give me a straight answer. “We’re checking on it right now”, i was told at about 3 pm. We were moved to our room almost at 7 pm. Horrible experience for my wife and myself. A moment that was supposed to be all happiness was diminished by the bad handling of resources from the hospital and staff. Now the second section were I would give 5 stars will be once we got into our room. All the nurses were super attentive and helpful. The nurse that received us was in shock when we arrived because my wife still had the catheter on after close to 12 hours. The labor side hadn’t given her liquids and she told us that my wife should have been trying to walk at least 2 hours previous our arrival to the room, and tried to go tot he restroom. In summary the chaos of the first part of the day was amended by the second part of the visit. However, there’s no excuse for the bad treatment we received on the labor side.Carlos Escudero

valet will disappear at 7 pm so be careful not to be there a minute passed 7 pm, my aunt had to go on a long and dark scavenger hunt for her keys and car, other than that the nurses and staff were very nice, my mom’s surgery appt was at 8 am but wasn’t brought into surgery until 12:15 pm, we were overall very happy with the surgery and hospital, they allowed me to stay overnight with her in the room which had a beautiful ocean view but the bathroom smelled awful, the recovery room took about 2 hours to let me see her but I think it’s bc another patient had an emergency while in there, the hospital food was warm and fresh, FELTON and MARVIN were very sweet and patient with my elderly mom. Our overall delivery experience was great. Ashley was our labor and delivery nurse and she was amazing, she listened to us, she was attentive and hands on. Dr. Guell also was a great partner and made the delivery experience manageable. Everyone at the hospital was attentive and caring. Our Lactation consultant was Annette and she gave us great tips. I just hope we should have seen her sooner. We asked for a Lactation Consultant as soon as we got to the hospital but we didn’t see one until a day later from when our baby was born. They should allocate more resources to lactation consultants. Aside from that, everything was great and easy.Ingrid Molina

A little over a month ago, I wrote a review on here about a situation that was happening between this school and myself: I was receiving calls and emails from them in regards to a balance that I was unaware of due to some mishaps during Covid where the grant vouchers I turned in weren’t utilized and the balance remained. I was beyond frustrated and when it got to the point where they said I’d be I collections for a debt that wasn’t my fault. I became angry and explained the situation here. Not even an hour later, the school reached out to me about getting in touch with the new Campus President, Dr. Dean Vines, to speak more on the situation. When I tell you Dr. Vines was extremely warm, understanding and apologetic about what was happening and personally took the time to listen. He took it upon himself to reach out to me and look into the situation personally, even though this occurred back in 2020 before his time at Concorde. I am very grateful for him taking the time out from his busy schedule to not only correct the problem, but met with me in person to hand me my transcripts and diploma that I had yet to receive from them. Thank you Campus President Vines! You’re an incredible addition to an otherwise great school. I am so glad that Concorde has you as their guide. For me going to the theater is always very pleasant, and if it is to the Adrienne Arsh Center even more. This place is magnificent even from the outside because just the building is beautiful. The Arsht Center is one of the best theaters I've been to and performed at. The acoustics of the place is phenomenal. Anywhere you sit inside the theater, you will be able to hear and feel the performance. The way the theater is made allows you to look at the stage perfectly. If you are watching an orchestra concert, I don't recommend sitting in the first rows since you won't be able to admire the WHOLE orchestra. I suggest sitting further up. The way they presented the Massage Therapy program to me during enrollment had nothing to do with how the course actually is. They also need to decide if they want to teach in Spanish or English. The professors teach in Spanish mixed with material written in English (power points, text book etc) which causes confusion during study time. The online classes are rushed, and unclear, and many times a lot of the questions asked during tests didn't make sense because of language barriers or didn't even reflect what we were studying. I feel that if you are serious about preparing for a career in massage to enroll in a more serious and professional school.
