The classes offered here are great, however the financial aid office is really unorganized and gives you the run around. I have literary spent a whole semester running back and forth filling our paperwork and checking to see if they’ve received my financial aid application. It’s almost the end of the semester and they still tell me that they don’t have anything on file, after they’ve told me that they just received it three weeks ago.Luis Arroyo

I took several courses at Merritt, initially thinking it would be easy, just because it's a community college. I was VERY mistaken. The courses I took were rigorous and the instructors had high standards of expectation. The curriculum was no skate. My experience there was great and I would recommend this college to anyone. By the way, DePaul University in Chicago accepted my Merritt credits without blinking.Meb Bem

The website is so complicated and ambiguous it takes at good half hour to find what you need. When you finally get their the function usually doesn't work! The campus signs and layout are horrible. If you're going to Merritt for the first time, give yourself at least an extra hour to find your way around! For a higher institution of learning, someone needs to fix these issues…R Cole

What used to be a quality, albeit an expensive education at a quality institution has degraded into nothing more than a typical private college, pay your money get your degree. A lot of the instructors are less than knowledgeable about subjects that most persons in the same subject field at a four year degree level would know. Complaints against faculty that are legitimate and provable are met at first with a sweep it under the rug mentality and if a student continues to push the issue, with outright and blatant retaliation. Classes are changed with no regards to the syllabus, instructors are often unreachable, lacking in knowledge and less than professional. The old adage of you get what you pay for does not hold true for this less than stellar, so called educational institution.Compulsive Reviewer

I started the program with Ms Perez as my lab instructor and ended with Ms Patrice. I'm older, laid off from a 25yr career and didn't know what to do with my life let alone where to start. Ms Perez and Ms Patrice made learning so easy, fun and amongst all, they made it interesting and made me feel excited to keep attending. The process at Unitek is easy to complete due to the communication level the staff has with their students. My career advisor, Ms Lisa is great! Ms Lisa Literally held my hand through the exiting process, kept in touch throughout my externship, made sure I was staying sane throughout the process of going to extern, working nights and taking care of my family. Walked me through my application process for a job, held my hand through the interview process, kept in touch throughout the whole process until I got an offer letter!!!! My experience with everyone at Unitek was great, but my experience with Ms Lisa is one that needs to be recognized!!!!Chris Fusi

I had a wonderful experience with Ms. Patrice my laboratory instructor and Ms. Perez. Both have mentored me & helped me become the MA I am today. Ms. Lisa Haynes in Career Services is a hard worker & goes to bat for her students. I received a job offer during my externship, that was too good to pass up as a new grad, thanks to her guidance. I recommend taking your MA in the day class as the PM class lacks structure & professionalism with one particular teacher…that is the only reason I left off a star. The school itself has a fully functioning lab for clinical experience, is safe, clean, holds dinners or gives treats for student morale and tuition is less than other schools in the Bay Area.Jennifer Wills

Minorities please think twice about going here , if you hang out with minorities please think twice about going here if you’re related to minorities… PLEASE think twice about going here . At orientation the owner of the school told the whole nail tech class to not be “ghetto” at this school and looked at me and another African American student directly in our eyes and we asked her what she meant and she didn’t elaborate but repeated herself another time. There have been so many incidents of harassment and making up rules as they go . The principal and owner are related so there’s no point in requesting meetings or looking for resolutions because they will team up with eachother and the best part I was kicked out WEEKS before graduation , the OWNER stated that she did not think I wanted to be successful because she knows my Type I wonder what that means ….. please run far away from this school .Adore Anala

I've been coming to B.A.B.E. for a few years now, they're the only place I go to get my hair done. I've had great experiences with all of the students and instructors, and my most recent appt I had with miss Justina. I went in with a hot mess of a grown out asymmetrical cut, and knew I wanted a long pixie. Justina really helped calm my nerves about such a drastic and dramatic change in my hairstyle, helped me sculpt a true work of art, and I have to say I will DEFINITELY be requesting her services again. Had made an appointment my very first time coming here, staff was excellent as well as my hair done by Amanda Barber. The teacher walks around and helps everyone achieve what they need by giving them tips as they’re working. I was very impressed with the professionalism and enthusiasm of the place. The teachers here are amazing and wonderful and do not get enough credit for all the little things they do. I was in the vet tech program. All the instructors for vet tech actually are RVT which is cool, cause they have seen so many things and worked in the field for so long, they are all so very knowledgeable. Most of the employees who worked in the office are also very helpful and kind. No one in the entire Carrington College Pleasant Hill location regarding faculty (including staff, office workers, janitors and teachers) gets the recognition they deserve. Everyone i met in the time during my program all went above and beyond what they were paid to do or had to do because the instructors and teachers really care about you and really want you to reach your goals. Any problems or issues you may be having the teachers will always help you or they will find someone who is better equipped to help and understand your issues or problems. The 2 years i spent here because thats how fast you can get your degree and diploma in a 2 year period went back so quick and i would completely do it again. All the teachers have there own way of giving you the information you need but it is your job to study it. My teacher was awesome so there were times when the teacher would stay later then needed just to help me and other studys or review any information that we werent completely comfortable with yet. It's nice to know that the staff, instructors and teachers really want you to know this information and will not get pass anyone who doesnt know there information. You get to work with so many beautiful animals both which students, and teacher bring in from there homes as well as the labs we attend to practice on larger animals such as horses and cows. It was all just one big thrilling event. All teachers, instructors and staff deserve a raise for the wonderful things they do just on a daily basis to help others that goes unnoticed. During my time here at the Carrington College Pleasant Hill campus i also worked there as a student worker. All staff members are overworked and underpaid. The higher up management people who get paid to do a job that they pan off on the others who are lower in ranked get all the opportunities as well as all the recognition for things they have no part in. I have seen multiple people quit or be fired for what others have done which is not right. The CEOs or whomever is at the top and makes the decision for everyone under them needs to pay more attention to there employees and actually realize what they are doing and know what they are worth. The instructors and teachers do not work here because of the pay or recognition that they so rightfully deserve and need, NO. They work here because they love the people here, because they love the students here, it's because they love what they do and they want us students to make sure we love it to. They do not want us paying so much money and taking all these classes if it is not something we actually want and like to do and are good in it. If all the little dogs got paid more and well enough as well as proper trainer for new employees and not just throwing them to the wolves making them feel overwhelmed and adding boatloads of paperwork to a single person already under stress and having a shoulder looked over every minute wondering if they are messing up because no one was there to properly train them, then the employees at carrington college pleasant hill campus would probably stay longer and would not leave due to things being mislooked at. I took the online course with the in-person skill check. The online part was put together nicely, containing slides and videos that were easy to understand. The in-person training went by very quick and smoothly. My instructor was Wendy and she was very nice and knowledgeable. It was easy and informative and I feel well trained after the class. The online training is great and easy to use at your own pace. It reviews with you and has a lot of information. The test itself was great. I needed help finding the site and was able to quickly get help on the weekend by phone and once inside the instructions were easy to follow. Great BLS CPR testing course and facility! Convenient combination of online testing and in person skills evaluation. It was nice to be able to take the skills portion without anyone else in the room and they had a lot of available time slots. Great directions after sign up and quick to respond to emails. I really enjoyed the online portion of the class. I was able to do it at my own pace and take breaks when I needed to. The skills check off was a little stressful only because I didn’t know what to expect. The computer talks you through the whole process and I finished in 20 minutes. This school only cares about the money you pay them. I remember the director contacting me so many times in a week to pay my past due. I was still waiting for my VA benefits to kick in. Then I was told if I don’t pay by this date, I will be removed from the program. So I applied for a loan to pay off my past due. After that I was never harassed again. I expected a lot from this school. From great didactic instructors to clinical instructors. But that did not happened. I only had one good didactic instructor. My clinical instructor was lazy and always complaining. The leadership did not care about you. Just their well being as a school. Your grades don’t matter. Also they did not care if you are a military veteran. There were times that I had to clock in using my phone which is not allowed, but my clinical instructor was always late so I couldn’t clock in using a computer. I was removed from the MRI program because I was DISHONEST. Instead of helping you to improve, they just remove you from the program because they got what they needed from you. MONEY! No kind of remediation whatsoever. Just after your MONEY. You’re better off with Unitek where they care about their students emotionally, spiritually, and personally. Being a nurse is way better than being an MRI tech.👎Ervan Valdez

I applied to the Gurnick Academy ultrasound technology program ( San Mateo campus ), At first I was getting constant email reminders to complete documents before the deadline date . After I completed everything I had an panel interview set up , the interview went well overall but I was asked a certain question that I didn’t completely understand and when I hesitated ( and felt nervous ) the interviewer rudely responded with frustration at my delayed response . At the end of the interview they informed me that I would receive a response within 3 weeks. Within a few days I received an email demanding that I complete a financial aid form within that day “ just in case” I get into the program even though I hadn’t received an acceptance letter. Well.. 3 weeks passed and I sent a follow up email kindly thanking everyone that attended the interview for there time and consideration . I didn’t get a single reply back from that email , a month after the interview day they emailed me informing that I didn’t get in and should try applying next year . The negative reviews I read after the fact are correct , it seemed like they were only after money .Amani Abdaw

I am writing this review as a new grad from the LVN program at Unitek's Hayward Campus. I chose Unitek as the location to take on my nursing education after attempting to go through the community college route. The CC route can be long and dragged out as many of the science course are impacted. I knew I wanted to be nurse and Unitek was my express ride to that goal. Classes were very informative and every class was directed to nursing concepts and skills. This kept me engaged throughout the whole program because the goal of being a nurse felt more tangible because I could directly see how what I was learning would be applied once I finished. My theory instructor Mr. X was PHENOMENAL. He created an environment that was conducive to the success of his students. His lectures were not only interesting but his passion and knowledge was more than evident. In short, he wanted us to be successful, knowledgable and confident nurses. My skills and clinical instructor Mr. Singh and Ms. Lisa were incredibly smart and resourceful. Mr. Singh taught clinicals as if we were hired nurses and wanted to be sure we understood how to do things as well as WHY which I think was priceless. He also taught us about the real scenarios that could potentially happen in the real world as nurses that you would not necessarily find within a textbook. The LVN program all in all was a rigorous program however the school provides resources to each of us as students that would help us be successful. My recommendation to any prospective student is to build a rapport with the people around you including your classmates (i.e. create study buddies and study groups) to help you and use your resources (ATI and ATI textbooks.) I graduated June 30th, 2022. I passed my nclex-pn in 75 questions on July 26th 2022. Unitek works!Sherelle Davis

The whole staff, admissions, financial department, and student services(Leslie) was amazing and very helpful in helping me navigate throughout the process of getting into the Unitek Program as well as achieving completion. Yes it get's harder as you go but always listen to the professors who will ensure that you are learning as much of the material that you should be learning to be successful and hopefully pass the NCLEX-PN. Taking this program is all about discipline and just like at work and school you will feel pressured throughout because of deadlines, but learning to organize, prioritization, and finding your learning style and adjusting to where you can both feel focused and prepared both mentally and physically for tests and all other course content is very important to be successful in this program. I went to Unitek to get my LVN license and finished a little over a year ago. There might be hiccups here and there, but the teachers at Unitek really make it a great program. Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Heidi, Mrs. Woodard and Mrs. Brown are some of the best teachers I’ve ever had. They’re always there to help you with any questions you have and they go the extra mile to ensure you have all the tools you need to succeed. They will sacrifice their personal time after work hours to help their students. I just started my BSN program and I remember so much of what I learned at Unitek because of these teachers. I started this program unsure what to expect, however I was quickly emerged into an informative, challenging and interesting medical assisting program. My instructors Mrs Soto and Mrs El Arbi were great teachers who pushed us to be out best and to further our education each day of class. Overall Unitek college was a great experience for me. Both of my teachers were there for me and answered emails in a timely manner. I don’t think I would’ve gone to the school because I do live about two hours away but Futuro health paid for it that’s why I went here. I believe everything went smoothly just until the end with my externship I had a place in mind and my coordinator basically just told me to take the first externship she chose me. It took us a while because she is not from the state and everything that she was looking was about three hours away from where I currently live. If there is one thing I could probably change from this place it would be to make it more of a in person learning because everything was pretty much on the computer except for labs one day every two weeks I did feel like I learned but I feel like I would’ve learned more if there was more in person learning then over the computer. I do feel like some teachers don’t really pay attention to the stuff because there were some places that I would leave blank and I would still get 100% on them. When they say for profit they are not kidding around! The teachers have their favorites. Miss Chua has a thick accent makes learning difficult on top of her accent she sometimes gets really worked up in her lectures and begins to kind of shout and speak faster than i can follow. They lack the skill of communication. I think the only staff that knows how to properly communicatw is Sera but she is in admissions i believe. Miss Chua has made me feel like I am not a valued student and does not try her best to accomodate students. For example if you are late for an ati test she will pick a time and it doesnt matter if it fits with your work schedule outside of school. Emails, and calls do not seem to work with this set of instructors especially her. I wish Unitek would change some of their policies regarding communication between student and staff. I also wish there was more diversity on campus, SSF location lacks diversity and frankly i do not think they even celebrate other races…Hailly Green

I reached out to know more and actually start and get an education , i started talking to an admission representative named Ariel Edwards and set up appointment i unfortunately wasn't able to make it due to getting sick & taking care of my youngest sister and i had , i let her know ahead of time about my situations as well but when it came to rescheduling asking for a later time she completely ignored me & stopped talking to me , the least she could have done was straight up say she didn't want to help me anymore really unprofessional . At the end i turned to san jose unitek and My experience was amazing , i am currently enrolled and ready to start classes , for anyone wanting to enroll in a unitek college i definitely recommend san jose , they reach out to you day by day , let you know the different times you can go when setting an appointment & don't leave you hanging .Ashley Ramirez

Not a question but just a desperate comment. This is so depressing I tried to contact the program director as recommended by the business manager here. She never reached out to me and all I was told is that my money was not going to be refunded because I decided to not continue with the program. Well after ALL of course I don't want to continue with the program all this lies being told to me before you guys took my money. You must know that $1500 is a lot for anyone in my situation that's why I begged to get it back since I borrowed it now I have to pay it back and on top of that my mother is very sick. Not that you care because is not your mother but there is things I could use this money for and I am just so desperate because I can't borrow more money since I can't pay this $1500 back. I personally had a good experience at Unitek, the instructors Ms. Sarah, Ms. Suttle and Mr. John always had good feedback and I felt that they cared about us getting the subject/task we had to learn. I was pleased with the practice I got to do, though we could have done more practice of urinalysis, snellen chart, hearing tests and others I can not quite remember at this moment. Amanda Garff with career services was awesome! She was always there when I needed any help with a question or with my resume. She goes above and beyond for students. One thing I did not like, was the fact that before we went onto externship, there was not much communication from the extern coordinators to students going out, we did not know our assigned site, or our schedules or the person whom we had to report to until 2 days before our start date! I know myself and other students were kind of upset that we really did not know our schedules so that we could coordinate child care for the ones who have children.I S T

Each and every one are dedicated to make sure you are prepared for anything needed for school and your career they are helping you build. Graduated from this college years ago. If you're a woman – I caution you! In the time I was a student here, THREE (3) different instructors made moves at me. I reported to Dr. Ochoa one instructor (Dr. Miranda) after putting his hands on my shoulders, repeatedly asking me to kiss him, and asking inappropriate questions, i.e. "Do you have a boyfriend?" It was after Dr. Miranda was removed that I discovered that there were other female students who Dr. Miranda was inappropriate with, they were just too uncomfortable reporting his behavior. I noticed that the other two (2) instructors left me alone after that (and probably left alone any other students who were being targeted). Guess they realized they would be next to lose their jobs and immediately changed their conduct.Sy Guzman

I really enjoyed the respiratory therapy program at Concorde. The instructors REALLY care and go lengths to making sure you thoroughly understand the material. If I ever needed further explanation, I was able to email my instructors for extra help, which I enjoyed. The respiratory lab has all the ventilators that you'll see in the hospitals, and we were welcome to study them as we needed. Towards the end of the program, we spent a lot of time preparing for the board exams. The exams aren't easy, but I passed them on my first go :'-) The best part of it all is that they stay in touch after you graduate to see where they may be able to refer you for work. This place is simply great. Graduated over 5 years ago and everything has been exactly what i was told. I graduated, got my RDA license immediately, got hired instantly, and have climbed the ladder ever since. Ron was the best when he help sign me up. Even though she didn't enroll me, Yvonne was also extremely helpful in gathering all the informatiom i needed to feel comfortable with my decision. The experience of getting an "Education" at this institution leaves much to be desired. I have gotten my education and quite a bit of experience from this place and in my time I have seen: -Lazy professors -Unethical Administrators -Dean of Equity complaining about how her office isn't big enough -Terrible education (When a professor makes you watch a 30 year old documentary and calls that an adequate representation of modern happenings, professors simply telling you to use Quizlet, Professors telling you that you are poor now and will always be poor, professors telling the students that she believes they are selfish animals, Professors brining their personal lives into class, Professors being petty, ETC ETC) -.Abrogating their motto "We Care About Your Success!" They serve themselves only and work to perpetuate their administration. We are merely statistics for them to use to accomplish their selfish goals. -People in Student Government having sex in the "Honor Center" -Students moral being low -People in Student Government who steal from the school each other among other illicit activities… -The School funding silly building projects rather than doing things to materially better the lives of the students. -Having workers laugh about how they poorly put together gym equipment that costs well over 10 grand -hearing Professors say they are overwhelmed and can't help you -Having the Administration Straight up LIE and then Obfuscate any responsibility. -Student News Paper: When I dealt with them they proved to be self-serving hypocrites. -The campus police turn a blind eye to the vagrants who pollute the area with their filth and drug paraphernalia: They even burnt down a section of the Lake a while back, because they where living in Marshes. They have since relocated to the bushes on the border of LMC and the Trails -Trails just outside of the school are an easy route for drugs, crime, and opportunists. I am glad to be done with this part of my life, I luckily have taken other college classes in other Universities; thus, I was well suited for the free for all LMC offers its students. With that said i have seen many Good people come into LMC and walk out with nothing to show not because of some fault of theirs but because of the wretched environment and culture perpetuated at LMC by the ADMINISTRATION and its ILK!mansa shaka

Overall this community college is excellent. Most of the teachers are willing to spend time helping you if you need it, the campus is very clean and offers a lot of different jobs for students, and there are quite a few learning communities for a rather small campus. The Brentwood Math Lab is better than the Pittsburg Math Lab though, in my opinion. The cafeteria isn't all that great, but if you have a car there are tons of other food options on Century Boulevard just down the street. Many people don't know that there is even a Nature Preserve in LMC with a lot of California native plants, and it is located between parking lots B and C in the back or Southern part of campus.Mary Abusafieh

Greatful to this school. Through here I was able to go an get my RN. Many good teachers over the years, some have already moved on, but good place to go. My only complaint is their points system for the nursing program. Preference is given to those that have a bachelor's degree or higher. I agree with higher grades and licenses i. The medical field getting preference, but giving preference to someone seeking a career changes over someone that has yet to start a career seems unfair. I had a very unprofessional young speech tutor named Hayley Callaway, and her male associate, who I assume was a professor, who laughed at me when I had a bad anxiety attack while trying to perform my speech after tweaking it to her specifications. It was due that day and I wanted to make sure it was perfect. Ironically she also specializes in working with the disabled/ those with disabilities, so thats another slap in the face. I took my speech to an older professor, who exclaimed "who edited this" as if to say they didn't do their job. When we tweaked it again, it was pretty much the same, when I first started on it. Go figure. My only gripe is that some tutors are slightly pretentious, especially the younger ones. Also some bias towards older students or those who may or may not be at the same level of education. I would suggest screening beforehand. Most of them can be rude or they tend to goof off occasionally. Besides this, CCC is pretty great. The campus is great, the facility members are great, the faculty is great and the location is convenient. Minus a star for unprofessionalism and nearly making me have to take the class again when I was so close to graduating. Edit: I already graduated…Joshua Jackson

Do not waste you time at this school ! You will be much better at dvc. The fact that the summer time the only have limited time for counselor drop ins no appointments only 15 min appointments and they try to rush you without answering any questions. There are always new teachers in classes that are lost at their own major. Then we have the fact that there are no cameras in parking area if you get your car hit like I did there is no proof if you have a late night class this is also a bad neighborhood. All around I’ve had many frustrating nights where I want someone to guide me on my journey to success and graduation and yet it cannot be done. I’m mad at how many times I have been hung up on because the counselors office isn’t in a good mood. Almost every department is ran by students with bad attitudes and no professional or peoples skills. I wait on hold for at least 10 minutes before speaking with someone if I even get to do that. All around if you are serious about your education. DO NOT COME HERE ! Everyone is so unhappy and they hate there job. No smiles.Shayan Edouard

There have been some hiccups here and there, but they typically handle the issues far better than their sister school DVC. The downside is that because it is a smaller campus they have less courses to choose from. However, the staff here are more personable, actually do their job and have gotten issues (financial aid, admissions, eops, and priority registration) resolved for me in a timely manner. The thing that needs to be improved are online forms and better communication with sister schools. On the InSite app not all of the forms are present and on the website the forms area is disorganized. I also found that DVC might name some of their forms different than what CCC does. Ex. DVC’s “Academic Program Confirmation form” is named “Declaration Form” at CCC.E

This review is from the perspective of a new student trying to take a single summer online class. I registered for the class in late spring, but it didn't even show up in Canvas (their online learning platform) until the summer session actually started. The instructor hadn't "published" the class, meaning I couldn't attend. I contacted him (Higginbotham is his name), on the day the class started, and he told me that the class didn't actually start until two days later. He assured me that the materials would be available and the class would be up and running by then. Two days later the class is still not listed as published, and the school's help desk can't help me either. The help desk diverts me to someone in India — are you freakin' kidding me? You aren't Amazon, why can't I speak to someone at the college? I consider myself a pretty tech savvy person, but I can't figure out how to attend my class at this school.Patrick Lindsay

CCSF is a great place to start a career or to get back to finish an education. They offer many opportunities and financial support to all students regardless of race or status. They have many programs that will help students to transfer to four year institutions or specialize in a certain career. The academic counselors are great people who really care and go the extra mile to help students to succeed on their careers. Many professors are great people and they make sure that their students are understanding the concepts. If their students are struggling on the class they are willing to help them out. It is a shame that CCSF does not get the credit it deserves.Rodrigo Cruz

Went to the bookstore to pickup items purchased online. Tip: the pickup window is outside of the bookstore to the left, and NOT inside the bookstore. I had an issue with my digital pickup, where Cengage Access code wasn't working, so I informed the representative, and he is supposed to get back to me via phone. There isn't any parking in front of the bookstore, because it's reserved for staff. Be prepared to park across the street, and walk a couple of minutes.Leonard Suguitan (Len)

First time at this college and I have dropped the only class I was taking. I feel very disappointed about CIS teacher. I tried to find help with a counselor but he put a lot of excuses since I am Spanish speaker. I felt descriminated by teacher and staff support. Also, the Admission and record staff were so impolite. I am a Napa Valley student but they didn’t have introduction to computer classes on fall semester, so I went to Solano college to get some advantage in my study planning. I waste my time and my money and for sure I won’t return to this college and I don’t recommend this college. No one can refuse to help an student because he or she can’t speak English as they speak. If a student could know what is his task, he/she wouldn’t need to be in that class.Rosa Chinchilla

I have been attending Solano Community College since 2019. I honestly love this school and what it has done for me. The teachers are great and they also offer a early learning development for children. My child is attending it and I can't be more happy with her teachers and the amazing learning skills she has developed since she started. I highly recommend this college to anyone at any age. You will want to continue to learn here and you will find who you are meant to be. I have found a better me here and with the help of my teachers I am growing in so many ways. I hope my daughter's will attend College here and do what they love. I am currently a new student-athlete at Solano Community College and so far everything seems very promising. The Females Basketball coach has ensured me a great learning experience. Along with that a team mate has already helped me out and got me started with my online classes, so for me, my experience so far has been very inviting. My schedule is well organized, my classes seem like they should be interesting, and I am on my way to success due to this school and myself of course. Now speaking about the canvas tutorials. they are very information however a little boring at times and more so a tutorial for the teachers I'm assuming, none the less very informational.Chaneli Johnson

My experience here at DVC has been pretty good so far. I've had my ups and downs when it comes to classes but they are related to my diligence to complete the assignments. I've experienced nothing but respect from my professors and friends I've made there especially in my past Japanese courses. If you're into Japanese culture or would like to learn a language, I recommend taking the Japanese courses at DVC. Also check out the music department. I've been taking the intermediate guitar/ensemble course for the past couple of semesters and my experience has been great since then. You'll like the instructor, he's kind and patient and willing to help wherever you need it.Squeebosh

I enrolled at Diablo Valley College in the Fall semester of 2016 as an "adult learner". I hadn't been in a formal educational setting since high school, 20 years earlier. I was a bit apprehensive at the notion of returning to school after so long but that faded quickly. Everyone I met was very eager to help me find my way and be successful. I can't speak more highly about everyone in the Student Services department, the faculty and staff there, as well as the students. The environment is very welcoming and supportive.Ramiro Ibarra

I enjoyed my time here and I've had some great teachers. The parking is insane but you can generally pick up on the perfect times to go after a while of going there. The worst part is the financial aid office. They have given me trouble for years. It will take you a good 2 months to get your financial aid in order even if your information is exactly the same. They have lost my papers many times. If you don't have financial aid I think it's a good school, but if you are applying for financial aid, good luckHildreth Hamann

This is a great community college! I don't understand why this college gets shamed. I feel like the professors and other staff members are friendly. It's affordable compared to a University obviously. This is a great college to go to, to get your general education out of the way as well as your AS-T. I don't regret choosing this college over a University otherwise I would be paying more and not getting the benefits I get at this college. It's never too late to go to college. I enjoyed my journey here and will miss my teachers and the students I built relationships with. Wish all of you luck and never give up your dreams! *** Update: I was quite disappointed that I did not get my honors medallion after I graduated. This message goes to the students who did not receive their medallion at graduation but then received their degree afterwards that says, "Honors". When I went to get my degree, the admissions office checked it and noticed, 'honors' was on my degree. I asked why I never received my medallion and they did not know. I contacted my TRIO counselor Roseby and he contacted the Vice President of the college to make sure I got my medallion. I'm happy I got my honors medallion but I'm disappointed I could not wear it during my graduation. So if you did not receive your honors medallion but have 'honors' on your degree, you are entitled to get your honors medallion because you earned it!***クリスティーナ

The college is fine but the security here is next to none. How do I know this, because my bike got stolen twice, they literarily when inside the campus and cut all my locks to stole it. So this a warning, don't leave your property unattended for long period of time, especially bike, because it will get taken some day. Nobody picks up phone calls. Operator isn't even helpful. Get circled around and can't even speak to anyone… Really horrible customer service provided to students… Also they don't even bother to respond to emails with questions… Sent followup email and no one responds. Don't attend this school… You are on your own and counselors and admissions and school don't care about you.Paul Y
