My son recently graduated from this college. He transferred in from a 2 year college so he was only there for 5 semesters. Things started okay but went downhill. Communication quickly became a problem. We had issues from professors, finance and counseling. It became so bad that to get anything done we had to cc the Dean in any messages that we sent. I also know of someone else who had to do the same thing. The last semester was the worst. He was enrolled as a full time student but when the bill came through it was in correct. We got loans for the first amount but had to get additional loans after the semester ended. No one sent an email we had to check the account because my son never received an email or his diploma. When we were notified by the finance department they told us we had to fix it. Numerous emails were sent to many different people but nothing was ever fixed. We finally resent the emails and cc’d the Dean and it finally got fixed. The college also changed the advisor without notifying us that it had changed. My son had to find his own internship and figure his classes out on his own. My daughter had the same issues with communication. She was signed up to go but never heard back. She then got a call from the advisor asking why she never showed up. The advisor had enrolled her in classes but never told her. She ended up not going. If you choose this college they will take your money but you will have to do a lot of work to make sure they are on top of things.Todd Crossett

I graduated from Roberts last year and I had a great experience. I do agree with some reviews that communication is not always great, but as long as you are proactive and take an active approach to your education here, you'll do wonderfully. The staff and students are very respectful and the professors seem to really care about you and your overall success. It is a nice size campus, not too busy and not too small. I went to undergrad here and loved it. There were always opportunities to learn outside of class, meet people through activities, and my professors knew who I was. A wonderful place to go to school and a great place to visit. The students here are almost all very kind, sweet, accepting, supportive, and open-minded people. They are slightly diverse in terms of demographics, and quite diverse in terms of personality. The college offers a diverse range of majors and excellent classes. It has particularly great music, performing arts, nursing, and physical therapy programs. Class sizes are not very big, with very few lecture hall-style class settings. The teachers are mostly very kind and care greatly about what they do. Tuition is very high, but depending on your program, it can be worth it. The campus is beautiful! It is full of nature and a mix of collegiate gothic and more modern buildings. It is small and dense, but not crowded. It is also very safe. Risk of theft or damage to property is very rare, but the latter is more common among lowerclassmen. There is so much history to uncover. It is located close to good places to shop, eat, and visit in Pittsford. The academic buildings are clean, well-lit, and mostly fitted with modern amenities. Bathrooms in some buildings are very clean, some are quite unclean. The lowerclassmen residence halls can be somewhat loud, are typically slightly unclean, but have many events to attend run by the RAs. There are dorm or suite-style living choices. Upperclassmen residence halls are mostly clean, almost always very quiet, and have dorm, suite, apartment-style living choices. Living arrangements are for full-time students only. The food in the Dining Commons is pretty good. It has a pretty diverse menu with some options tasting decent, some great. Other food locations around campus have a somewhat limited menu range and the food is mediocre. Some alternative dietary accommodations are met, and more will be made if requested. Facilities staff are mostly not friendly, but not unkind. The staff in the Dining Commons are mostly pretty friendly and very kind.Graeme Lechner

I received counseling services from John Aceto at Nazareth College. This man is sexually inappropriate! I met him to work on my shyness, and for the entire session he tried diagnosing me other issues. He told me I drink coffee everyday because I have "Caffeine-use disorder." That rediculous disorder is not even in the DSM! Then he diagnosed my father with Bipolar disorder, based on my childhood memories. He never even met my father in person. After the session, he began rubbing his hand on my back, telling me that he wanted to "help me out." I felt violated. BEWARE of this man! He will rope you in for other issues and try to take advantage of you. I expressed my concerns to the director, Megan Clifford Papponetti, and she black mailed me. She threatened to have me suspended, and that is exactly what she attempted. She shared my confidential assessments and sessions with my Ex and even to my professors. My professors were concerned about me, saying that they received a strange call from Megan "bragging about the information she found out about me." That was PERSONAL information that I trusted with the Nazareth College Counseling Center, and I was humiliated. Nazareth College, you should be ashamed of yourself! The education I'm receiving at Syracuse University is second to none the professors are great and most of the friends I've made here are Syracuse University students friends that I will probably run into later in life the friends you make here are Syracuse University students from around the world, and some here in your own hometown, friends that you will make for life the professors are great they give you the tools you need for success in today's economy and in life and your own personal success. I had great professors and excellent guidance. I think. I mean, it WAS the first half of the seventies! Seriously though, I got everything I paid for, and more, from this great institution. I went to Nyack College in the city for one year and switched to a CUNY school after as I felt the quality of education did not match the HIGH costs. I remember when I was first applying to the school, I was so nervous about taking out such high loan amounts to pay for one year. I kept communicating this to the admissions person, but he kept telling me that no one could take away my education and convinced me to take the loans. Since they have instituted 6 sessions Columbia College has proven they are not about the students. By making this move they force students to take student loans or lose part of their Pell grant due to not being enrolled full time. They try telling their students that 6 sessions per year will benefit them. Being a student that is currently enrolled and have been for a few years now I can tell you it is of no good to the student. Not only does it cost us more but instead of having any type of break between already accelerated courses we only have two days off. This is ultimately going to lead to more stressed out students and lower GPA's. There was a time I recommended this College to everyone I came across. Now sadly I make it very clear Columbia College is the worst college you could attend. It is a joke. Rolla's new policy if we don't offer something you need in seat take it online. Not mentioning that not only are online courses significantly more expensive but the work that is required for these is beyond reason. I am talking at minimum double the workload of an in seat class. I'm currently enrolled at CC. This is the best college I've ever been to. The faculty is understanding and very helpful. They actually care about your education. My advisor was by far the best. She helped me through some very tough decisions and helped me to make the best financial decisions. I visited the enrollment center 3 times to change classes due to my own reasons and all three times they were understanding, helpful, and encouraging. I also went to the enrollment services about my financial status multiple times throughout the year and they were always there to help. They showed me my financial plan exactly including scholarships, loans, and grants. They explained everything to where I could understand and even printed me copies of my plan. BEST COLLEGE containing the VERY BEST PEOPLE! The other reviews that had one star and rude comments, it's because of their stupidity and closed mindedness. I had a terrible experience at this school. I would highly recommend not going to this college. They do not care about how you as the student does. All they care a bout is your money. You will NEVER hear back from any of your online teachers. I tried emailing a teaching with a question 3 times and not once did I hear back from the teacher. If for any reason you need to withdrawal they will not except it. Even if you withdraw a day or 2 after the deadline, they will make you pay every cent, even if you had good reason for the withdrawal. If you want to attend a college that cares about your needs and your success I would highly recommend choosing a different college because the only thing they care about at this college is getting your money. My daughter just graduated from Cal U. She had an excellent experience and enjoyed her 4 yrs there. She has continued to a masters program at Pitt and has had no trouble finding work or getting accepted into other programs. All universities function in a similar way and it's up to the student to take advantage of all the opportunities that the school offers. Very nice but small University. Very clean and there were lots of campus police around. The cafeteria was limited on options. They could definitely do better with that. Probably the worst options from any of the 10-15 campuses we've visited. Only other downside is it's literally in the middle of nowhere. Nothing is around. Being in a less urban area, it is usually easier to find parking than the university where I completed my undergraduate degree. I really can’t explain what I went through with the staff, so unprofessional and the attitude is horrible I always try to be as nice as possible but the way they treat people is awful. They literally screamed at my mom who does not speak any English for not having her vaccine card with her although she had picture of the vaccine but her phone was dead they yelled at her and did not try to help her enter the building at all. Once I came and approach them they was talking to me with awful attitude and yelling at me!!!!! although I respect the policy but they always could help in situation like this making everything 10X harder and unprofessional behaviour. One of its kinda school Historic place as it is more than 100 year old school CUNY’S most iconic campus so far As building is quite old, construction is going on still it’s worth taking a walk here Lush green gardens and beautiful library plus awesome walkways and old concert hall and other buildings. Northeastern was an amazing experience for me,  a wonderful, interdenominational community of learning.  I was able to take classes online, but the majority of my classes were on campus. I believe there are stories about Bank Street which other parents, potential parents and even students should be aware. I was a parent at the school for 10yrs and was involved in various school activities. At one time I was on the Director of Diversity’s (DoD) Parent Advisory Board (PAB). This was a group of parents organized the school year after the The Post wrote a less than flattering article concerning the then DoD in July 2016. Prior and during various meetings of the PAB, the new DoD provided information to be used as a guide to think about being more inclusive of differing views: “The Dangers of Echo Chambers on Campus” by Nicholas Kristof and a YouTube video of Obama’s farewell address from Chicago. Both the article and the speech talk about the dangers of retreating into our selective bubbles especially in our neighborhoods and learning institutions. “..we become so secure in our bubbles that we accept only information, whether true or not, that fits our opinions, instead of basing our opinions on the evidence that’s out there.” Obama said. Great article and a great speech but just words. Bank Street doesn’t stand behind those words and doesn’t stand with people who do. When you want to truly help people, you tell them the truth but if you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear. At one of the PAB meetings, the philosophies of Dr. Thomas Sowell, Harvard Grad (magna cum laude), MS Columbia and PhD Univ. Chicago and Jason Riley, Editorial Board of the Wall Street Journal were introduced. The introduction was greeted with “We know those philosophies and we reject them; we reject them” by one of the parents. I doubt he really did. It would seem that the words from all the articles above were simply dismissed by a group of primarily whites “rejecting” the works of these influential black men simply because their writings did not fit the School's narrative. I can not understand people who say that minorities should be represented more broadly yet become irrational and repressive when a person of color represents a view differing from their own. I contacted Mr. Riley and he agreed to speak at the school and I even offered to pay his fee. At first, the DoD and the Dean offered to approve the engagement with the stipulation of a “balanced dais”. I asked both the Dean and the DoD if they'd be on the other side to which they declined and offered no recommendations. Funny how the two people who push the racial agenda were not confident enough to defend their curriculum to that of a well-educated, well-researched black man. How do you market yourself as a teacher of critical thinking while suppressing differing, well-researched views? Even the idea of inviting Mr. Riley to speak at the school was ultimately rejected after other parents petitioned against his speaking. The mob, which Nicholas Kristof had written, won. Separately, after the NY Post article, several families who were thought to be possible contributors to the write-up were ostracized and verbally chastised by some members of the community. I never understood why Bank Street’s administrative staff didn’t stand up to support those being mistreated. Although they talk of community, they left those parents, some of whom had been at the school for years, to fend for themselves against the mob. I never got the chance to ask the Dean how he felt when he found out that some parents from the School’s Parents of Kids of Color group petitioned against his hiring simply because of the color of his skin. They wrote a letter to the Hiring Committee to petition for one applicant over the other specifically because of race. What would have been the reaction if a group of parents had racially profiled a non-white? I also found the school weak in languages, sciences and athletics. All this after paying over $500k in after-tax tuition plus tutoring (which you will need) and donations for your child to attend K-8. There's more, but I'm limited in space.Slinks

This is the greatest outpatient program ever, not only do they help you get clean and stay clean ,they also help you with your mental state and your everyday life situations, anything they can help you with they will . The staff is super amazing and you will get plenty of reminders of up coming appointments. VRP made a HIPPA violation by issuing information that I did not request and sent that information to another party. My request was specific and was for my personal use and when I confronted them about it, they tried to justify their actions. I then told them that I was filing a complaint and was discharged because they said that was a threat. I never felt they were there to help me but instead I felt they worked against me. I am a service connected veteran who was there through a community care referral from the VA. If you are looking to get better, stay far away from them, especially if you are a veteran. I am working with the VA now to take them off the list for community partners. The chief medical officer called me and tried to justify his staff’s actions. Harold Koplewicz is a poor choice for you to take your child to at the Child Mind Institute. Very unfortunate considering how hopeful I was that he was legit given his background. I saw him regarding my 13 year old son, and Koplewicz was determined to find anxiety in my son even where there was none. His determination to find problems in a child that may exist, I can see no other reason, other than to create a need for more sessions is very evident. Koplewicz showed no ability to determine truth from fiction. He is more focused on building rapport and conversation than he is about doing his job which is to empower children. He does seem very motivated by billing fees. He writes lengthy recap letters that go nowhere and then charges $1000 dollars for these recap letters in addition to his hourly fee which is another $1100 His personal corner office on park avenue is the size of four offices combined, so he has a lot of overhead, and covering that seems to be his main priority.Adrian C

I’m not sure how this place has 5 start reviews! Since I’m new to the area I took a look at the reviews and made an appointment. The first time I was seating in a room for over 2 hr. No one came. I called and made a fallow up appointment to get the results of the test they order. As I’m trying to make the appointment the person helping me start to have a personal conversation with someone at the center. I wanted 15 minutes, then finally she told me I have an appointment at 3pm Monday the 30th. I walk in today at 3pm. I approach the front desk and there were 3 ladies gossiping, as if they were in their block! So I told them that I had an appointment. One them tells me that my appointment is at 4pm. So I told them I have an appointment at 3, not 4. Other lady then told me with a nasty attitude “ she’s not telling you we can’t see you, she’s telling you your appointment is at 4”. By far one of the worst clinics I’ve ever had to go too. One of the nurses said there was absolutely nothing wrong with me without even checking my vitals , blood pressure or temperature first , what a JOKE . She had a big attitude , tried to dismiss me like if I was a waste of time without even getting my blood pressure or vitals first , then one of the Board of Directors OR whatever he wanted to call him self also tired to dismiss me I tried my best to be polite about the situation . Took my son out of school to have his dental cleaning seeing that this health center was 1 block away. The receptionist just kept eating and whenever I asked a question as to why we were waiting so long yet we are the only ones here she had so much attitude. I notice however she was nice to the Spanish people that she knows. Very unprofessional and slow!!!!!!!!! She completely ignored us sitting there otherwise and proceeded to argue ith us…… terrible!!!!!!!! Two other co-workers helped to gang up on us when we tried speaking up about our experience!!!! Updated again: It just keeps getting SO MUCH worse. One thing after the other I am being surprised with or told I haven't done or that something else is needed, when I was never informed of any of it. If you're enrolling here, good luck. I hope you don't have the same experience I have had. I stand by my original comment that this is by far the WORST college experience I have ever had, and I've moved a lot and been through 4 other colleges. EDIT: *Avoid Valerie Tober as an advisor. She is extremely discourteous, unreliable, and unpleasant. She made the process just that much worse. She treated me as a burden and was condescending to me for almost the entirety of having to work with her. This is the absolute WORST admissions process I have ever dealt with. If there were another college closer, I would have dropped this facility and chose to go elsewhere. The only people that were knowledgeable or help with anything was Zoey in admissions and Monica and Dean with IT. I'm thankful for them but extremely dissatisfied with the rest of the people I have had to deal with. It has been a nightmare.Josie Bullard

Don’t go here. This school is not military friendly. Had a B+ in a class when I had to go to the field training for two weeks. I told the professor at least a month in advance. She told me I failed for not attending for those two weeks, that I had to be present like anyone else. All work was completed in advance. I reported the incident to her supervisor because I know military are an exception to attendance as long as they have a memorandum from the commander “which I did”. Once they realized they couldn’t fail me for attendance they needed justification for already failing me. The professor was old and she didn’t know how to navigate the online portal for issuing assignments, she accidentally duplicated more than half the assignments and verbally told all students to ignore the duplicates which had due dates and would appear is incomplete. She used those duplicates to fail me and justify her actions.Paul HERNANDEZ

This is my college and everyone else's for whomever resides in Jefferson County. I am proud to have graduated from here. The professors are both knowledgeable and experienced professionals that won't take slack from the nonhackers of the world. They will help those who need support. They will guide everyone no matter your situation. I recommend anyone searching for somewhere to go to learn about what you may want to do later in life to come and join us. They offer matriculation services to other institutions within the SUNY system. This is a major plus to commuters of any area. Come join us!Jonathan Davis

As a non-traditional student, I've been through a few different schools and failed each time. Dominican has been an absolute godsend, and they've done everything in their power to ensure my success, even if it was just something as simple as giving me a call to make sure that all was well. I can't sing praises of the staff enough; the education I've received has been of amazing quality and their Bachelors degree program has given me the skills to succeed in the professional world with an edge. Whether you're a traditional student or someone looking for an online degree program, Dominican is truly where it's at if you want a school with values that will value YOU, and not just your dollar.Melody Mansour

This review pains me to write as this school is my alma mater. I would suggest against hiring interns through Dominican's internship/career development programs as it is poorly supported and their career development department will not follow up with employers. In addition Dominican promised us reimbursements for hiring through their internship program as part of the careernet grant but are yet to deliver. The program was originally applied for on August 7, 2015 and we are yet to hear back from their career development department.Ed Krause

Dominican University is a small campus near Chicago. They have a great Social Work and Library and Information Science programs. The school is very nice and some of the staff are friendly. There are many student organizations to participate. The only fault is that they don't offer Greek life like Lewis University and DePaul.Jackie Ramirez-Ceron

Definitely the best venue! Wonderful 40th Anniversary concert with Jessica Vosk of the Broadway Hit Wicked! If you haven’t seen a show at Wharton, you’ve got to experience it. Great acoustics. Friendly staff and volunteers. And performances that will leave you awestruck. They also have a great gift shop that will have you rolling! There is even a piano in the passage from the parking ramp to the center that you can feel free to play! Definitely one classy place!Gordon Satoh (Monumental Pens)

Always a beautiful place to go for a walk or run! Grounds are kept up well and lots of space to enjoy with nature to see. Recommend exploring the bird sanctuary at Baker Woodlot and Rajendra, Lewis Landscape Arboretum, MSU Horticulture Gardens, and enjoying the trails alongside the Red Cedar River.Micah Plimpton

We spent a full day on Campus, including a tour. The art museum was amazing, blew us away. The 5th floor has some of the most spectacular views. Awe inspiring views with the changing colors of leaves and the lake etc. Oh, and it's free. The gardens were fantastic and we could have spent hours there. We walked around central campus and then had our prospective student tour. The guide was excellent and very informative. Made a stop into the bookstore to buy some gear. Great selection of clothes, especially upstairs.Lance Perry

Ithaca is beautiful and Cornell's architecture is marvellous! The mesmerizing waterfalls, the pretty Fall and the my favourite- snow in and around campus are main attractions. The campus is clean, well connected by TCAT buses and almost every part is wheelchair accessible and has braille. It's an amazing place to be in!Shivakshi Gupta

I was supposed to be in the accelerated online MBA program but unfortunately when they enrolled me in classes they failed to put my in the fast track that I was told I would be in when I was accepted. I was told I would be done in October now I am being told that is impossible. I was told I could have been done sooner if I mention this in the summer that I wanted to be enrolled in extra classes. So being told from the start that the accelrated was 14 months ending in October and then verified this was true in the September when I was considering a new job was not enough. I guess you need to check in daily about enrollment with multiple people? They take 0 responsibility for this mismarketing. They continue to say it's my fault for not asking to accelerate the accelerated program in April, had i known that at the time I would have. I talked to others that were also told that it was a 14 month program August-October and were schocked when I told them this news. I was told in a call today though that if this financially hurts me that I can wait two semesters to afford it, which when you don't have a job due to this error I don't see how two semesters makes money appear, I guess I missed this in my finance courses from here. This is a huge set back for me at my job and financially they don't really seem to care that they made a massive mistake and are taking no steps to help fix this. They also enrolled me in the wrong specialty and signed me up for the wrong special topics course, many of my classmates had the same mistake happen. It has been about a year since I notified them that my speciality was wrong and I am not told the change is pending. I also found out a special topics course in the first fall semester was never enrolled in correctly, and that is why I had two in the spring semester unlike any one else. Again they tried to blame that on me and said I withdrew from the special topics, I never did. The courses themselves and the teachers were fine. If you do this program constantly check in and don't trust you are correctly enrolled in courses or that you will complete it as promised. There are also a ton of group projects in almost every class along with asynchronous components the teacher scheduled. I had to take a lot of time off in order to do the group assignments and meet with the teachers. It is a huge hassle and everyone is on a different schedule. You can't say a program is on your own time with this amount of group projects. If you want somewhere you can trust and somewhere you can br proud to graduate from look elsewhere, I wish I did.Nicole G

If you are going there And are wanting to join Athletics I would truthfully recommend looking for a different college. This college Is struggling financially with athletics and had to cut programs in order try and make the other programs better which has not worked. Even when being on saint mary's campus things seemed rubbed down. When I would go to the dining area to grab gluten-free stuff the fridge that had all of the allergen food would be empty, so a lot of the time I would either have to buy my own food or I would just end up not eating at all. The campus is very old And if you like the old kind of scenic vibe then you might like this campus, but the thing I only really found good about this college was the scenery and the bluffs, the rest was okay but not really the best, and now switching to a different college has showed me a different side of what Saint Mary should have been like.Katie Domack

I was accepted for the online MSW program in June, didn’t have anyone return my calls or emails until late October. I attempted to speak with the financial aid department & have never received a reply back. I left countless voicemails and sent emails for help with no reply. I received two phone calls letting me know my issues are being worked on and then they were resolved. Here’s a shocker, they were not. The registration/student center department can’t even call you on the phone at the exact time they rescheduled you for because they couldn’t even make it to the original meeting. The online program is complete joke and waste of time. If I was able to travel there for assistance when I needed it or could simply depend on their departments over the phone I’d probably enroll in courses.Jacqueline Lopez

College is supposed to be one of the best times of our lives, we are constantly reminded to enjoy our time here, and are told there are resources if we are not happy. The current predicament however is that many of us do try to seek help for the issues we may face on campus but are met with little to no assistance. Yes, we have tutors, we have a health and counseling office, and all of the required necessities a college has to provide, but what students don’t have is a real voice. I have personally served on student senate and have seen exactly what “being a student leader” here at keuka really means. Being a student leader requires you to not talk bad about the college, to keep secrets, and to only serve as an image of student government. In reality the student senate only decides what student clubs, organizations, and events get funded and I wouldn’t even go so far as to say decide. During my year term as a senate member we only refused money maybe twice and said yes to the many other requests. We did not get to make any important decisions, we only served as place holders for the formality of senate meetings. So therefore, if the student government doesn’t actually get a say, and the rest of the students don’t have a voice, what can we actually do? I thought on this question for awhile before deciding to write this paper with many of my peers, and I came to the conclusion that all we can do is hold the college accountable. Now if this is currently being read by whoever it is that’s in charge of covering stuff up, goodluck silencing all of us, you can’t cover up this one. Keuka College seems to care far more about its image than its students. For instance, last year students got in trouble for talking bad about the college on twitter when freedom of speech allows us to talk about what we don’t like and what we want changed. Just as a few examples, the college has kept the buzz about a sexual assault committed by a campus safety officer, multiple other cases of sexual assault, numerous drug and alcohal scandals, the issue with insects, the food poisoning cases from the Geiser, a student suicide, and much more under wraps out of fear of ruining their image. On top of all of these issues, and the main reason we decided to write this, many students are here on a 4-year academic scholarship that many don’t realize (until it’s too late) requires students to stay here for all four years or they have to pay back every cent. This means that many of us can't decide if we want to transfer, and we are therefore stuck here unable to live off campus and forced to get worthless parking passes and meal plans that make us sick. The saddest part is that they cover all of this up strategically by hiring mentors for incoming students that are required not to discuss any of these issues and advertising the college as a safe and great place to attend. This means freshman are kept in the dark till they pay their deposits and arrive to find out just how unsafe the campus is, how bad the food is, and the numerous other issues. This has created a cycle of trapping students here paying a ridiculous amount of money for a less than quality experience.The Wizard

my experience at keuka college was pretty interesting. it was overall a good experience though. although, i do wish i could start college already. i know for a fact that college is not going to be so easy to get through considering the amount of money i have to pay for it. i think i'm going to be stuck but hopefully everything pulls through. i am working during the summer so i can hopefully same some money for college. college is important to me and i think this college is great for me. i already have my roommate in mind and hopefully we actually become roommates because shes really cool. so maybe this college experience won't be so mad after all.aaliyah mckune

Stayed in some of the dorms with 100+ youth for a church trip. The dorms were okay, with no air conditioning, but were decent. Overall the campus is beautiful in summer, VERY wuiet and peaceful and entirely overlooking the large lake. The weather is fantastic in summer and the campus hosts many groups that stay in the area. The cafeteria was very good, with very helpful, patient and professional staff who were very good with our group. Overall a 100% pleasant experience to visit.Blake B.
