How does a college have a faculty that can't answer any questions pertaining to activities that go on campus. there are 4 kids to a room and marijuana smoke fills the air. You complain to faculty that you were not around anytime that this is found by staff with proof of your where abouts each and everytime. I don't smoke at all. I have a scholarship to go to this school and they kicked me out due to no one coming clean about the marijuana. I don't think I was treated fairly. I don't go here nor do I know anyone who does. We visited for a wrestling tournament. The gym they used was utterly disgusting. Dirty as hell. Garbage was shoved everywhere. There was a baby bottle!!! This is right when they opened. You are going to tell me there is no custodians or even volunteers to clean it up knowing there are visitors coming?? This college misguides students frequently. Be careful what your advisor tells you and they tend to swap your own major without your permission. I’ve lost thousands of dollars due to the unmanaged people that work here. This place has a low tuition cost for a reason. I will be completely honest. I did some PSEO courses here and thought it was a nice campus. There is some struggles and problems with the school, but nothing to make this not a choice for a college. Teachers are nice, most of the students are fine and just do there own thing, there is a couple of clubs and activities, and the class sizes see to be reasonable (smaller than JMHS). I think it is a good campus and should be considered an opinion and not thrown to the curb when looking for local colleges.Burner Account

What a joke… My wages are currently being levied for a semester I did not even get to attend! The Financial Aid/Counselor I worked with helped me sign up for all the classes needed for that semester but did not inform me that I had no available financial aid. By the time, I discovered this (3 weeks into class) it was too late to withdraw without paying full price. I called multiple people at the school but all refused to help or did not know how to help. Though some teachers care quite a bit the majority could care less about you and more about there personal life. Scared to walk around without being robbed. Worst school I have ever been too. Terrible when it comes to visitors and what information they tell you. My sister is currently in this place and apparently I can’t visit her. When my mom called them, they told us “only two set visitors can show up to visit the patient.” Nowhere on the pamphlet did it say that. The pamphlet says “immediate family members are welcome to visit during the day” and “other family and friends may visit Monday-Friday”. Also, they said it’s a rule due to covid. Everybody in our family is vaccinated including my sister (the patient) + we haven’t been near anybody with covid at all. Thanks to the hospital to telling us about this policy, my brother and father have wasted just about 3 and a half hours of their day going to visit, told they can’t, and driving back. Also, what happened to the no electronics thing? Everybody was told she was not allowed near electronics, but all of a sudden, she’s allowed to have a zoom meeting via iPad? They just broke their own rule which was already stupid in the first place. This whole place is a disaster.AverageBoi2356

Spent 6 hours at this hospital. They don't seem to do anything but COVID. I told them multiple times I didn't have COVID but they wouldn't be convinced so they sent me home with no diagnosis, convinced they were right. Got my negative test result from them this morning but that doesn't help my 101 fever. People need to trust that a hospital will actually do their job instead of just assuming they know. I do NOT recommend this school! Honestly I was excited to go here and looking forward with completing this course. I went here for the EMT Basic Program. Let us start from the beginning. On the website they have a price of how much you would pay, but when you get there they tell you something completely different. Then they say the offer financial aid for EMT or payment plans, but when I asked to do it they said they don't do financial aid yet it says it online. So I offered to do a payment plan and they said that I couldn't, so I said okay then I won't attend. All of a sudden it's ok we can do a payment plan, that should've been my cue to not attend. Next the clinical person David, is really unpleasant. He talks to you as if you are beneath him, he is just rude. The course is rushed, if you did not go to school before or have a degree like myself, I don't recommend. The pace is too fast and they teaching is all over the place. Third they have this computer course online which is basically the computer reading what's in the textbook out loud. Unfortunately, that is why I failed because I missed two readings that had little quizzes in them. Which made no sense to me because I like to read the book myself than off the computer. Also, because of that they gave make up courses and two exams to take and said if I passed it, they would allow me to pass the class. I PASSES THEM AND THEY STILL SAID THEY COULD HELP. I should have read ALL of the reviews on this "school." I was really super excited about coming here but they are all about the $$ and don't care about your education. The clinical clearance coordinator, David Izso, is NOT friendly at all. He called me multiple times about a vaccination that I had to wait to get due to doctor appts being booked out and was talking to me if I was a child. Very unprofessional. They terminated me on a Friday, 4 days before the next semester, and a holiday weekend for failing ONE class after allowing me to take a makeup final for another class knowing I was already going to be terminated. They booted me off my portal, I had no access to ANY grades, my agreement signed through the school email, or even access to the other portal where I was messaging my professor. I have friends in nursing SCHOOLS in NYC that are allowed to pay and makeup a class failed after the first time. This school, no. They want me to apply again to just take more money from me. They hounded me everyday to pay my balance but when you want to speak to someone in regards to grades they just send you to voicemail and terminate you. I do not recommend CAHE. I graduated from the paramedic program yesterday and I wanted to just share some information with anyone reading this. I joined the Full-Time Paramedic program and have had a wonderful experience. The program is rigorous but I found the course load to be very doable. The program leadership (David Skolnick and Joel Abraham) really works with each individual student to ensure they are able to succeed and become competent prehospital providers. They had many opportunities to do clinical rotations at various agencies throughout NYC and upstate NY. About 1 quarter into my program, they updated a lot of their equipment as well. Overall, I am very happy to have been trained by CAHE and highly recommend it to anyone looking to join become an EMT or Paramedic.Shulem Rosenbaum

Staff and facility was nice enough. Billing has been very shady and nontransparent. Chief complaint is that I asked for an out-of-pocket cost for a procedure and agreed to do the imaging for that cost. Unfortunately, the receptionist gave me the wrong number and also billed it through insurance. Dealing with the disconnect between billing and the imaging site has been a nightmare. Every time I talk to both I get different answers and numbers. I cant tell if its lack of organization, training, or if they are just being purposely misleading. Good Luck Edit: I was called by billing and told I wouldn't have to pay the extra amount which I was grateful for and content. They then called me back and told me that they would refund the original amount, which I didn't ask for but was generous. I call back a month later and I still owe the extra amount. Will never use them again! From scheduling errors to the awful reception area I am very upset. There is no line at reception (everyone crowds together at the door) but don't go to the receptionist window without permission. There are 3 receptionists but you are not greeted. The older lady will snap at you and tell you to back up. They appear to be working but not taking care of the patients in the room. Scheduling messed up my appointments 3 times. They are useless. The only good thing about this location is the tech, however, you may get conflicting information from them.Laurie Mault

This is the second time I have dealt with Borg & Ide. Everyone is professional and treated me respect which in these times is sometimes hard to find. When I was told that’s where I had to go, I was relieved. I have gone to another facility in the past and will not go back. That was prior to the pandemic. I can’t even imagine what it is like now. After my abdomen ultrasound, they left me in the waiting room for over 30 minutes. They didn’t know I was finished and ready for the CAT scan of my lungs. A very poor system of managing your patients. You wasted my time. You subjected me to more germs by having me sit in the waiting room for over 30 minutes. One lady threw up at the check-in desk. I had to go back to the check-in desk to inquire about my appointment because so much time had gone by. The clerk didn’t even know I was finished with my ultrasound. No one ever told her. I was a bit nervous about my scheduled MRI- I was welcomed with a smile. Was called back early even, by Dan who also had a great big smile. Dan told me exactly what to expect, super professional and compassionate & caring at the same time. Answered all of my questions – with respect. I was treated as a whole person who mattered. I can say my MRI was a fantastic experience because of Dan and the team. Highly recommend this facility. I’ve had more than a few MRIs, this by far was the most positive experience of all. The only negative is that the building isnt clearly marked as to being Borg Imaging. Once I was sure of being at the correct address, the entire experience was great. Beginning with the secretary who checked me in from the start to the assistant who took me back and the woman preforming the procedure, the experiences were all top notch . I was of course a little nervous but this was put at ease every step of the way. I highly recommend . Wonderful people. This was the most comfortable easy mammogram I have ever had. I wish I could remember the Tech’s name because she was amazing. She did not allow the machine to rapidly crank down on my breast. She hand cranked it which was much more comfortable. She saw that in my previous exam they had to shoot another film at a different angle so she just went ahead and did that while I was there. Had a terrible time! It took 3 sticks in my arms to get an IV going. This is the first time. Usually with giving blood, they get the vain the first time. The MRI machine seem to be ancient or not up to date with another MRI that I took. I'm sure the cost is the same for update machines at other MRI locations. It was the worst experience I've had in medical exams. Not looking forward to being in that machine again.husle boy

They notified me day of my appointment that they don’t have the correct type of machine for my test and have to reschedule me for another two weeks out. I had already taken off from work and have delayed travel plans to await these results. Needless to say I’m not happy. First of all we never have been to this urgent care. And they were really awesome. And the nurse that took us back right away gave my daughter and bracelet and sunglasses to try and calm her down.. and the PA was super nice and patient. My daughter took a nasty fall. They sent us to strong after to be safe. And now I love strong because they take care of my son with cancer. But to be honest this urgent care did more for her then them. You can definitely tell they are overwhelmed and overworked and I feel bad. But I am very grateful for the two ladies that helped us here.Courtney DeFazio

I have had to go to the urgent care twice. I don’t live in Rochester anymore but helping a family member out and each time I have a great experience. The staff are kind and informative. If I call with a question they are helpful. They check in to ensure I am doing fine a few days after my appointments. This is an honest review. This is a great Urgent Care. It’s clean, great location, and they have snacks. I had sore throat so I didn’t take any but the fact they offered nice snacks was a bonus.candace M

Staff is friendly. Location is short staffed. Saw hiring signs and hope people apply. As a travel nurse I always get my drug screen there. I have used other WellNow locations over the state. I will always go back for my physicals. I urge those seeking drug screens to arrive at least an hour early. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone trying to better their lives. They promise you a job at the end of your course and then claim that there are no jobs available. The teachers use their time to threaten you and accuse you of talking, not paying attention or just deviant behavior while you sit their silently and then all faculty staff say “well it’s a free program” they also threaten to remove you from class and tell you to “get out” if you have questions or you bring up things that you’ve learned before that challenge what they’re teaching and ask for clarification. There was a teacher who would actively blame me for the things the girl next to me did. If she was speaking in class, eating or even sleeping she would accuse me of being the one talking or the one that was influencing this grown girl to behave the way she did. While I sat there quietly and did my work. Don’t do it if you have anxiety or depression cause this place will push you to kill yourself having to survive here. They also remind you that you’re a charity case that they have blessed with the right to attend to school.Alana Hernandez

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mesfin for a lower back issue that was getting worse as time went on, so much so that I could stand/walk for short periods only. I found Dr. Mesfin’s staff to be friendly and accommodating and I experienced no long wait times. Many well-intentioned laypeople warned me not to have the recommended surgery, but I felt I had no choice if I wanted to live a fuller life. I needed stabilization of my vertebrae (rods and screws), placement of a titanium disc, and opening up where my nerves were being crushed. I couldn’t be happier I went through with it! The surgery changed my life immensely. I am SO VERY grateful for the current technology and the skill with which Dr. Mesfin applied it.valerie walton

Dr Mesfin and his staff have been a pleasure to work with. I had severe nerve pain in my leg and could barely walk. Dr Mesfin performed a quick surgery to relieve the nerve tension from a herniated disc. I was up and walking within an hour of surgery with absolutely zero nerve pain in my leg. I experienced very minimal pain after surgery. Knowing what I know now I would have never waited as long to get surgery. I am amazed on the progress I have made since surgery with little to no pain. Dr. Mesfin has now twice given me my life back. I was fortunate enough to be seen by him when I was in the E.R. for a neck injury several years ago. I could not lift my arm above my shoulder and was in constant pain. The surgery he performed resolved everything and just a few months later I was completely back to normal. I have never been taken on time, at my appointment time. I always book the first appointment of the day, arrive early to check in and be in the waiting room before my appointment. I still wait 20 – 30 minutes, all the while I can see and hear the techs in the kitchen area chatting. The techs are courteous and explain the procedure every time – too bad they can't BE on time. After the procedure today, I was asked if I wanted to wait for my results. I said I would, since I didn't have the opportunity to speak with the radiologist since the start of the pandemic. (find it interesting that the doctors didn't see patients during that time, but the techs were front and center just inches away from the patient during the procedure) I wait for Thomas A Summers, MD in the "results waiting room," only Tom is a no show. Instead an assistant hands me a form letter with boxes checked. The same form letter I receive in the mail. Guess old Tom doesn't have time for patients and their questions/concerns.WJ Name

Windsong really needs to up their inclusivity game. The gowns they give you for a mammogram here are ridiculous unless you're 125 lbs and a cup size A or B. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm a DD and I had to sit in the full waiting room with a gown on that barely closed over my chest and was far too short. I even asked for a different one when they took me to the changing room, and the one I got was not much better. As if this appointment isn't nerve wracking enough, now I have to sit in a waiting room with skin showing, holding the gown shut? Unacceptable. Not everyone is small chested, people. You need to get plus size gowns. Like, immediately. Ladies, just FYI, this place doesn't cater to larger chested women and their comfort or privacy. I'll be going elsewhere next year based on a recommendation from a friend where things are more personalized and comfortable, rather than an overcrowded, insensitive mammogram farm with really long wait times. I had my appointment as referred by my primary doctor. I went to my appointment and they said I needed to have extra mammogram images.i went back to the room 2 separate times. The reason for going was to get a breast ultrasound/biopsy. The wait was extremely long. I was there from 11am until almost 4pm, which is ridiculous. The staff was friendly, but seemed very unorganized. All I know, is I'll never have a biopsy ever again. My body, my choice. Also, my paycheck. Very disappointedMary Diamond

Horrible. I was with my grandpa because he burned his eye after suffering from a stroke. He couldn’t hear well and was a little confused. The doctors talked low so he was unable to hear, and became impatient when he couldn’t understand. They left us in the room for over 2 hours. Finger Lakes Community College is a phenomenal place to go to college, and/or stop by to visit. The people who work there, from the staff at the One Stop Center and Professors to the Custodians and Maintenance Staff, are all friendly and welcoming. Some students and staff may seem standoffish at first glance, but once you get to know them they are very kind people. The custodian and maintenance staff constantly attend to necessary tasks around the college, from bathroom restocking to problems with technology, they work their hardest to make sure that the college is in pristine condition. If you come across an issue with safety, want to talk to someone you know you can trust, or even need to check the lost-and-found, the campus police are always there to help. Granted, the staff changes during the day, so talking with the same officer, each time, when you stop by may not be possible. However, all officers at the Campus Police office are very knowledgeable, level minded, and open to helping those who seek their assistance. If you're thinking of enrolling into one of their college programs or majors, do it. You can always talk to a staff member at the One Stop Center if you wish to change your career or field of education in the following semester. Keep in mind, always consult a financial advisor in the One Stop Center before you drop a class, especially if you're acquiring financial aid from the government, such as FAFSA (US Government financial aid program) or TAP (New York State financial aid program). They will tell you if dropping the said class(es) may harm your financial aid accomodations. For those who have disabilities, diagnosed or undiagnosed, visit the Third Floor of the library in the college. You have to go through the Second Floor entrance due to inaccessibility through the First and Third Floors, however, it is very much worth visiting. Once you exit the Library elevator, or the staircase, head to your right. Once you reach the door frame, turn right, head straight 20 or so steps, and turn right again. You will find the Disability Services office there. The people who work in the department are beyond welcoming, no matter what reason you're there. Melissa Soules is one of the most trustworthy people in that office. She will help you with whatever you may need resource wise. Whether it's testing accommodations or something else, she will be able to point you in the right direction of the resources you need. I'm going to leave this as is now, so visit the FLCC website for any further information or guidance regarding the college. I'm still in my first semester but so far I am extremely pleased with FLCC. I attended another junior college and a university years ago and neither held a candle to my experience here as a SUNY Online student. The administration has been amazingly efficient for a college and the instructors are knowledgeable and highly responsive any time I've had a question. Honestly I have been surprised, in a good way, by the difficulty of the coursework as well as the very high standards of the instructors. If you are considering any of the computer science programs here then don't expect it to be an easy win. I've had to put more effort and time into this semester than I ever have previously with coursework. I live in Queens so I've never been to the campus but I can't recommend the CompSci department highly enough if you really want a challenge.Jarod Armstrong

Concert was great. Unfortunately the crowd standing constantly blocking the veiw of others, needs to stop. Plus, talk about bait & shoot. IF CMAC was as concerned about the crowd standing that should be sitting as they were making money on booze. That would be an example of true professionalism! Current Admissions counselor/coordinator and director is rude, not helpful, nor understanding. They ignore application and take months to get back with you. This shows that the school is money hungry. I would recommend looking at other nursing schools that really care about prospective and current students.Keal N

The college experience was great, My RA position truly prepared me for the real world and helped me to understand and appreciate the world around me. But I can only give three stars because the school of business/enterprise let me down. As an accounting major, I aspired to work in Government or Not-for-profit post graduation. Once the professors realized I didn't want to work for a Public Accounting firm, they wrote me off. I am succeeding today, solely because of my RA position. And for that I am forever grateful. Went to the stadium, my son won some tickets. We sat in the last row of bleachers on the home dugout side. The ushers were friendly, we were escorted to our seats upon asking directions to our seating area. Many activities happened in-between innings, t shirts were tossed and lucky members of the crowd got to play games on the field. Big focus on alcohol, many areas to buy your beverages of choice. One food area seemed to close early, pretty normal sight in our travels past COVID-19. Bathrooms were clean, well stocked. Food was good, my son says it's his 4th best burger he has ever had. He bought one before leaving. The reason for the 3 star is the dead mouse under my seat and the red bugs on the cement wall infront if the seats. It's a outdoor venue, I understand, but seeing the ushers collect trash makes me wonder if the stands get swept.Kylee Playz

Wow this place has garbage staff. They specialize in making education difficult or even damn near impossible to register and navigate their trash course listings. I’d expect more from a community college with so much money. They dare call themselves a “pioneer” in online education. Hogwash! Listen, don’t listen to me—check it out for yourself. Went to the County Folk Art Festival on a Friday night this time. Not too crowded, and lots of Fall craft items for sale. And a few Christmas craft items too. I saw a couple of things that I kind of liked, but I must have been more hungry than I thought. I bought some very good. Amish snickerdoodle cookies and a couple of nice chocolate sticks. Of the more than 50 top universities we toured around the country, Rochester was my favorite. Not only was it outstanding for its serene and spacious campus and its architectural richness, but for the people. The friendly staff who greeted us, the advice of their genuine and truly supportive admissions counselors, the welcoming and enthusiastic professors we met were all top notch. Ultimately my child chose a different university, but I would have been happy to spend more time visiting this campus and the surprisingly lovely city surrounding it.Mags
