We were working on our project (Our Green Hope) today where we used 3000 reusable bags to make the largest mosaic. The worker at the campus were friendly and supportive. After finishing the project, all the 3K bags were given for FREE at Kroger to encourage people to start using reusable bags instead of plastic grocery bags. Extremely odd layout for lots compared to all other land-grant universities I’ve had the opportunity to visit. Parking lots are all across main public roads, which is inconvenient. Professors are decent, with a major inconvenience of not being allowed to write their own material for classes (especially the mathematics departments, they are all forced to use the same program and note guides for everything). This is paired with the university not wanting to have multiple exams, so they lump mathematics exams all together for a subject into the wee hours of the morning, before all other classes. Obviously this has a negative result on performance for all the classes, but they saved money not changing the numbers 5 times! Also, be warned that the advisors are not there to help you, but seemingly to lock you into paying for classes regardless of whether you want them or not. There are holds for the next semester that are automatically placed on your account after the withdraw with refund date for a semester has passed, so that if you want to drop a class later on, you need to get the hold removed (even though it’s for a later semester). I have yet to hear of an advisor that will do this without trying to insist that you meet with them during office hours, even if you clearly state that you know what you’re doing and you just need the hold removed. Just for comparison, the community college I earned my AA degree at had advisors that were available to assist you, but they did not place advising holds on your account, and you could add/drop classes on your own. The professors also got to write their own note guides and exams, which was highly beneficial to learning, largely because that meant you got to take exams during normal class times, and not 6:30 in the morning. The Brookings area also has a disappointing lack of attractions to keep you busy, the city owns the only liquor store, and the cost of living here is fairly high. All in all, if what you’re majoring in is only available here, then suffer through it, be aware of these traps that exist, and get out the other side. One of the better looking universities in the area, but recently it's gotten more expensive, the great professors have left or only teach 1-2 classes a year because of finding issues and out of classroom experience is tough. Honestly, I would only go here for an ag-degree. The others (art, comp sci, engineering, math, etc) fall short and nursing is very cutthroat (2 years of classes and you get one B means your not accepted). Engineering professors care, but experience outside the classroom is vital and its tough to get an internship or full time job outside Brookings without a connection. The only place to work is Daktranics but they aren't student friendly I've found year to year, classroom material differs, not covering necessary sections or professors hurry through concepts or examples to finish in time and expect you to fill in the gaps. Graduating in 4 years is tough, even 5 is hard with 16 credit semesters and summer classes. There also aren't enough quiet places to study. The library isn't big enough and don't have power outlets everywhere, voices echo in the dorms, classrooms are locked at night and weekends so you have to call campus police to let you in, coffee shops and the common areas don't have big enough tables to actually study; so good luck. Another thing is the lack of parking and car pooling into campus if you live off, the "required" dining plans the first two years where one meal costs $7-12 but you're only allotted $10 a day, the random closures at the gym, few jobs are available for students but tuition is high enough that you need 20-25 hours a week to afford next semester after government and school loans. Overall, it's decent looking school in the area, but there are some serious issues and I would have looked elsewhere if I knew these problemsBen Petersen

This university is like a trap once you enter you will be a hostage, they will tell you come we are affordable, and you think it is nice 4 year, it is NOT you will never graduate less the 7 year speaking of most degrees. Such a very beautiful campus! Staff and the students we met are very nice and helpful. I'm such a proud mom that my daughter is choosing to attend this Mount St. Mary's University. If you get the chance to go make sure to visit the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, it's a very beautiful place. You can walk through a outdoor Sanctionary and it is connected to the campus or you can take a short drive up.Pam Wyatt-Prattis

Overall, an okay community college experience so far from 2019 to 2022 (I took some summers off). The registration process for me was a nightmare. OpenCC upon some of the other processes were buggy, nonfunctional, or unclear. Despite this, I have to give them slack as when I was applying they were revamping their websites significantly. There's a mixed bag of good and bad staff. Some professors will be insanely rude, not understanding, and sometimes not even lecture properly on the topic at hand. Other professors will be really kind, understanding, and actively willing to work with you. Always look up the professor on Rate My Professor!!! Eservices, Canvas, and Counseling are atrocious. Eservices has been buggy at times or down for multiple hours. Canvas is usually a decent online learning tool, but sometimes it can get buggy and is not always accessibility friendly (as seen by not having a dark mode for example). I recall a time when Canvas was down due to the host servers, which are owned by Amazon, were completely offline. Counseling is not always helpful in guiding you to where to go next, will sometimes not even answer calls nor emails, and can get really busy (even with the switch from the old building to the Welcome and Support Center). I suggest looking up some information yourself on ARCs website first before talking to counselors, such as course catalogs or what classes you might take for a specific associates degree. I wish that counseling would still give out PHYSICAL course catalogs, but it is what it is. Finance is usually okay for parking passes, but other services is like pulling teeth. Communication on what is going on campus varies from good to poor. An example of this is when the pandemic began around midterms and there was the report of two people being exposed to Covid on campus, which caused mass panic and multiple people just walking out of class. Parking can sometimes be an issue, so be prepared to walk a little bit. Also, you will need a parking pass from a kiosk or buy a parking pass permit for the semester. Bathrooms could use some work. I recall a time where after flushing the bathroom started to flood. Food choices were fairly solid. If you were going to Starbucks or Subway during lunch, lines would get long. Only food offered on campus now is either from the student store, the cafeteria, the Oak Cafe, or the few vending machines on campus. Off campus, there's quite a few food places around, such as Lis Mongolian BBQ, Chik Fil A, and In-N-Out. The bookstore has been unorganized in the past, but is relatively chilled back and clean nowadays. Be warned that some things will be overpriced, but that's normal for college. Also, don't be shocked if there's a hassle with ordered books or book returns for refunds.Emily “Emma Anne” Branecki

It's almost like 90% of the people who work here will be rude over the phone and tell you to do everything online. They have messed up most of my paperwork, resulting in me having to resubmit residency forms, application forms, proof of ID. Somehow they put me as out-of-state which includes a 900% markup per credit. I went from expecting a $150 bill for a single class and ended up with a $1200 bill. No one wants to help sort it out. No one wants to answer the phone. The website is difficult to navigate. Honestly, I have had a single positive experience with one person in Admissions, and everyone else has been pushy, rude, dismissive, and argumentative. I am considering switching to literally any other school in the district. My partner attends SCC and it's laughable how smoothly they handled his transition back to school, compared to mine. Edit: it should also be noted that I had applied to ARC 4 times since 2013 and never received a welcome letter. I had emailed asking why I applied and was not told anything, or emailed, called – nothing. I got no response. Called last month because I was at my wits end and I am told "I can't give you a student ID number because your application was DENIED." I asked why and she told me she couldnt tell me. I asked for a supervisor who immediately told me "we have the wrong SSN for you, so none of your applications were accepted because it didn't watch our records." My CORRECT SSN, was being rejected. In 8 YEARS NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THIS. Just like they didn't tell me I was listed as out of state, despite submitting residency information multiple times. This school is a JOKEI Illyria

The college is great..,.. the bookstore however is 1 star at best. The school district sub-contracted it out and the new facilitators understand that they have a built in market from people having to use their financial aid or other assorted vouchers from various Govt entities and as a result they practice poor customer service utilizing people that are quite adept at rapid fire litanies telling you why none of the delays or shortages are their concern or problem. In fact in my opinion 90% of their employees that deal with the public are nothing more than thugs and bully's. They take no responsibility for faulty instructions in how to use the new book site with vouchers and tell you that they are "saaaawrrrrry" when they tell you they can't locate your books and give you a date when they will be in. Once again, in my opinion, they are nothing more than petty tyrants and bullies that should have their contract terminated for lack of accountability on their part. I'm a vet and am finishing up my first semester at Liberty. So far I have had nothing but good experiences. I was nervous about going back to school after being in service for years, but the transition has been fairly easy with all of the help lve received.My instructors are very personable and go out of their way to help me with any problems I may run into. Professors are very professional and, unlike many schools, encourage students to form their own opinions. I have never felt as though any political agendas or doctrines were being forced upon me. Non Christians are treated equally well as everyone else, and are even welcomed to challenge or question anything they may disagree with. Divinity professors are more than willing to listen to other opinions and will clearly explain anything a non believer might want to know about Christianity. The campus itself is beautiful and full of fun things to do besides schoolwork. I am actually learning, rather than simply connecting dots to get a degree and that is exactly what I hoped for. Since I've gone to the school I've got to see politicians such as Nigel Farage and Donald Trump Jr., musicians like Jeremy Camp, sports stars like Brett Favre, world class entrepreneurs, and experts such as economists who advised the president. I’ve got one year to go to graduate from this place😭 Being a student at this university has been quite a wonderful experience. To be honest I think it’s one of the it’s not the most state of the art schools in the world. It’s impossible to get bored here. I will say though one thing about this place is that if you come here on fire for Jesus then you’ll find people on fire for Jesus but if you come here to party then you’ll find the party people so make of it what you want. Yes there’s been some drama here in the past few years but there’s drama everywhere and Liberty has been able to manage it pretty well I’d say. I absolutely love every single professor that I’ve had here, they’ve gone above and beyond to help make sure that I get an education of quality. Set up a campus tour. It was 3 hours which entailed visiting the dorms and dining areas. To include the fitness and recreation center. As well the Jerry Falwell Library and Vines Center. We walked the campus for a few hours and then we rode the bus for the remainder of the tour. Everyone was friendly. The student tour guides did an excellent job. The campus was huge. It was well maintained. They have three dorm options. One to include apartments that house seven people. Freshmen are able to bring vehicles on campus. Wide selection of dining options. Great school for engineering and decent for nursing. Business school will depend on your work and the professors you choose(from 1-4 ⭐️). The support sucks. Try calling financial aid or student accounts and you know how living in purgatory feels like. One hour of waiting on the line is typical and if you wanna use the outdated mymav website to get help without calling them, good luck 😉 The number in the picture below belongs to student accounts department who will drop you from all your classes when u owe money so you need speed dealing with them. I suggest you’ll go there physically even if you’re infected with Covid19 as you have a better chance of reaching them in person. And the pictures following the call are from when i went to student accounts in person and the line for service goes into a second building. If I could give this university a zero star, I would do it. As an international student, I have millions of terrible experiences with this university. The graduate school and the international students office have been really really rude. They will try to frustrate you using any way they could. Also, the insurance requirement for international students have been so unfair. They will charge you lots lots of money for the insurance for the summer time even though you are not enrolled in any classes during the summer. Also, the staff working in the graduate school have been so rude and know very little. Some of the graduate and undergraduate classes have been so meaningless and do not worth the money.yaqing cao

Atm a lot of construction is going around the university. Either adding new school building, dinning areas, or apartments around the school. The gym is great, great gym equipment, indoor track, and classes that you can sign up for if you do not like working out alone. Building are easy to locate but if you have trouble finding them people will be nice to direct to the correct locations. And as you can see most reviews are "google user" so I wouldn't be surprise if the staff is actually rating the school themselves, but this school is horrible. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and could care less about the overall wellbeing of the students as long as you pay tuition. The campus police are nonexistent they partake in activities I'm almost positive should not be happening. One of my friends was assaulted and the swept the case under the rug, never filed documents, and never followed up with the case. The financial aid staff takes money from out-of-state students and applies it to in-state students accounts (ie. workstudy, loans, etc.) because that is 90% of their student population. The department staff never answer phones, emails, and their office hours are false advertisement. The bursars office has lost money and payments sent to them and their reply is "sorry" followed by never answering the phones again. They have personally lost housing payments of mine 2 years straight which resulted in me losing housing and or paying double. This school almost lost its accreditation and really they should have because half of the students don't go to class but the professors past them anyway because of their "friendships." This is by far one of the biggest mistakes and bad choices I have ever made in my life. Had I known the undermining and the unprofessionalism this school advocates I would have never committed to it. I have been here since my freshman year and due to their "credit equivalency" scheme I could not transfer. The tuition is definitely not worth the education you are paying for. The professors are more concerned with being "cool" then actually teaching and the administration staff is more concerned with being paid then actually helping the student body. I hate the school after graduating I never will return (Now I understand why Oprah didn't), I hate the staff, and the president has yet to follow up the duties of Dr. Shields who I believe made the biggest changes now TSU is back where it started from since her departure. I graduated here back in Fall 2017 with my BBA in Accounting. It's a rocky road dealing with staff; even during slow times outside of registration. I used to work in the college system, so I understand the workflow of how I am supposed to handle being a student (which offices to go to for help, who to ask help from, keeping track of specific documents I need to turn in, etc.). However, it was difficult to get help when needed. Some staff can be very rude and unhelpful if they ever answered their phone/email. I would also go to the main campus offices to try to talk to someone, and there were several occurrences where offices would be randomly closed without putting it in their voicemail or webpage. This is not helpful when you work full-time and have to take off work to go to campus. Aside from the nightmarish organization of student services, this is a really great university! Most of my professors were very passionate about their teaching, and actually showed willingness to help you if you are struggling or congratulate you if you are doing well. Going into upper-level accounting courses were tough, but rewarding, and I felt like the professors and classmates were there to support me all the way. What's also great about this university is how affordable it is. I managed to graduate here with no student loans. It's hard, but doable. I also appreciate the accreditation is the same as other local large universities. So if you are looking for an affordable and good university, check out TSU. Currently attending this school and I do not like it one bit. This school is full of some of the most racially bitter people I've ever met. On more than one occasion I've listened to discussions that include how all whites are such bad people and how cop killing to them is a good thing? I don't know what kind of stuff they're smoking but obviously it's screwing with their brains! Last semester I had 3 teachers so absorbed in politics in their class that I could hardly see through their BS to actually learn anything. I don't know why but the teachers can't seem to stop preaching how right their political party is over everyone else's. God forbid your opinions differs then you get alienated in class as the gun nut or extremist for saying something like "I don't like the President" I've actually been called racist for stating my opinion on how I don't agree with the President's policies. Funny thing is I'm not even white I'm a light skinned Hispanic but to them it doesn't matter I'm a white racist to them. So yeah this school is not welcoming at all It's sad to say this but if you're Republican you don't belong and if you're not willing to have other people's politics shoved down your throat then don't go here. School is for learning, it's not for having other people's beliefs shoved down your throat we all have different opinions and beliefs and this school fails to understand that. Great place to learn, with a safe environment. The grounds are well taken care of, and the staff is very friendly, as well as patient when teaching. Very well at allowing students to understand what is being taught, and provide all the basics when it comes to starting your college credits. The entering staff are knowledgeable in helping you find assistance in areas you aren't familiar with such as tuition, loans and grants. The book store has all the stuff you need to succeed. They have several cafes on campus. The student center is the campus hang out. They have pool tables ping pong and a wide variety of other clubs and activities to get involved in. The mini processing plant on site is a great hands on learning tool they have RIGHT THERE on campus. All of the professors are very knowledgeable and understanding. If you want to learn and earn college credits this is the place. They have an adult learning center for people to get their GED. They're performing arts center for people that like to perform or do arts. Like drawing and painting. Have a nursing program that is top notch. All your basic studies are covered by experience and helpful staff. They have all sorts of activities, and clubs. This cosmetology where they offer haircuts and manicures. They offer instrumentation as well as process technology. They have a judicial class for those that would like to learn about the criminal justice system. They do scrolling all year round even on weekends If you have a 9 to 5 job and can't make it to regular classes. There's athletic program basketball and volleyball, they have a swimming pool weight room and banquet halls for rent. They have several lecture halls on campus as well as outdoor picnic area or study areas. There are some campuses one in Baytown, McNair, and Liberty. So their service area can be reached. They also have helpful Access student resources answer questions about programs and are always willing to go that extra mile and help make student success their number one goal. They have campus security to keep you safe and well-lit areas for evening classes. They offer welding and logistics, also support a wide variety of students from all over the world. I must say, the teachers are helpful and the classes are small-yes- but the support staff for the college itself (business office, counselors office, financial aid, ect) are the absolute RUDEST people I have ever met! I work full time, so I try to do most of my business with them via Email, Telephone, or Fax. When you email any of the support departments, they NEVER reply back, once you call them and mention "I emailed y'all a week ago but I never got a response back…here is my question" they just give you the run around, transfering you to 3+ people just to get a vague answer. Just today, I got cut off by the business office when I simply asked if I could pay for tuition over the phone. The "counselors" in the counselors office don't even remotely help you with your degree planning, each one of them will tell you something different so you are basically left to figure it out yourself and hope you get it right. I have talked to all different kinds of directors/administrators about these issues and they NEVER seem to be resolved. Point to my review is this is a good college just to get a degree behind your name, but be prepared to hit a ton of roadblocks/red tape along the way.Kayla W

Love the school, very understanding teachers & other faculty! I graduated from here my first semester of my senior year in high school before deciding to attend UT! Everything was okay all the way up until the 2020 graduation parade. When announcing my name, the announcer made a very uncomfortable mark about my dads corvette mentioning “Nice car where’d you rent that for the weekend?” I didn’t really notice until my sister played her video back after the parade. The car wasn’t rented, that’s HIS CAR FULLY PAID FOR! I didn’t like what he said and if I could see him face to face again any day, I would tell him African Americans can have luxurious and nice things as well! Some comments you keep to yourself! Much of the SCSU campus is beautiful & worth a long walk or bike ride. Lovely historic old buildings & newer buildings show fascinating architecture. Plenty of gardens, benches & green space. Perfect for a decent environment on campus. Nice planning by SCSU leadership! Congrats! Unfortunately…. the city of St Cloud didn't have the same insight & planning skills. Some of the surrounding college neighborhood buildings are owned by cheap, incompetent, opportunistic landlords. Many rental houses & apartments are Ugly eye sores….and this reflects poorly on SCSU!! WHY THE HELL did the city of St Cloud not have stronger building, housing rental codes & regulations? For many years the City Council & other city leadership groups failed SCSU. The nearby older historic homes (on lovely tree lined streets) were once very nice….yet were allowed to seriously deteriorate & become a drawback. This has hurt SCSU regarding new perspective students, home buyers, businesses & visitors. Shameful….for years there must have been Very poor, weak, inept leadership in the city of St Cloud!!! I realize there have been some recent efforts to turn this neighborhood mess around. But the pitiful planning & damage was done over many decades….and the city is facing a very uphill battle. St Clous State isn’t too bad if you don’t care or aren’t paying out of your own pocket. The quality education is low. Lack of resource for students to succeed. Decent professors. Cleaning staffs and financial administration are great. Lacks student diversity and safety. Dorm security needs to be more secure, especially in Sherburn Hall. SCSU get most of their money from international Napel students. Student population is 80% Napel. Highly discourage anyone to attend. First semester/year, you’ll wish you never wasted time and money on SCSU. That’s why their graduation rate is so low (below 50%), students transfer out after attending the first semester/year. Academic Advisors are burnt out, and 1 per program with over 100 students. They don’t know what they’re talking about most of the time. Double check your transfer credits with the head professor of the actual department.Asia Love

Homecoming was fun but not very many participants. The school originally pushing it into October didn't help and then canceling it all together for a large part of a decade. The alumni and students kind of either don't remember or are apathetic towards the concept. The city and the school need to work together with the alumni, student organizations (especially the greeks who have a vested interest in their alumni) to make people interested in coming back every year. Downtown was dead too. School and City should benefit from each other.Jim F.

Extremely racist school. I attended here for 3 years (2009-2012). It was a legacy of my family to attend and graduate from here and I regret it. Not only did I not graduate, I felt unwelcomed as a Native student. I even participated in Native student organizations and spent a lot of time at the cultural center because that was the only place I felt comfortable and accepted. South Dakota is just a racist state all around. I regret listening to my parents. I should have went to the school I was also accepted and had really wanted to go to. These white ppl can keep their precious athletics department! Even the frat parties were racist and sucked! The varying architecture of all the buildings on campus was nice though. Went for one year and never went back. The general required classes are similar at other places, but other places actually care about you. I went to another college before this one, and USD refused to allow me to transfer the credits because they were from out of state. The admissions were nice, but whoever decides what credits transfer couldn't care less about you if you come from out of state. Their biology department needs major help, because they had to change teachers often and even hired one who couldn't speak English. This is the worst school I ever attended and would not recommend.Meulin Cat

As a 4th year student who will be graduating in Spring 2018, I will be terribly sad to be forced to leave such a terrific school. UGA has provided me with all the opportunities I could ever want. I was looking for a college that would have all the resources I would need in order to go to Optometry School and UGA has exceeded my expectations. The classes here have truly prepared me well for the next 4 years of my life. I am grateful to have gone to such an amazing school. If you’re looking to go into the healthcare field and want to be best prepared for graduate school, UGA is the right way to go. Also, the campus is large and beautiful! After UGA, I will be attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham College of Optometry. So luckily, I won’t be too far from UGA. This is an outstanding hometown, family-styled University. The programs at Grambling State University are an excellent part of the Louisiana University System. Although I am an esteemed alumnus of the rival Southern University and A & M College, it still takes nothing away from Gambling. I’m excited for her but I wasnt impressed with the dorm furniture. My daughter didn’t have a mattress, broken drawer in dresser, had a half broken outlet cover (very dangerous) and a ripped up dorm chair. I know they can hire folks to help fix some things, but overall I enjoyed the campus. There are a lot of buildings in process of being replaced and they have some nice buildings and a lot of dorms. Philander Smith College is a mold infested rodent infested campus where they don’t put any money into the students or the dorms living situation they only care about the money the washer and dryer is barely work and you can smell mold in your room and in your shower. I also was assaulted at philander Smith College twice in the Staff field to do anything about the situation so after the school year I decided not to come back but when I went up there to get my transcript they tried to charge me $250 for the situation but as a whole Philander Smith College failed me In many of my peers this college is overpriced and the teachers don’t care about your education for real I wish I never attended this college!!!!Douglas Official

This college registration process is "TRASH"! We will definitely be rethinking our "Spring" school selection. I have seen a lot of things go wrong with registration but this takes the cake. If you are considering sending your child to this college you should inquire about how they run this office. The rude unprofessional staff gave us the run around for 3months. She will not get a refund for the room and board we paid for that was not available. She was given a very unreasonable and unrealistic schedule, and now has to sit out for a semester. I'm a very unhappy mother. I would not recommend this school to anyone. I live near this college and me and my wife and kids love to take walks threw it. It's so beautiful and peaceful. Also you have campus police always around so you feel safe at all times. And the bell tower is a nice sight to see. But hearing that thing go off at 11:00pm at night I could go without.Shawn Dronet

I wish I could give this school ZERO stars. Some teachers press play on a recorded lecture during our "class," and thats how we learn. Other teachers read verbatim off of the slides. There is only one competent teacher – Mary Castang, but she only teaches the begining nursing classes. The teachers were very unprofessional and often didnt know answers to students questions. They are very power hungry, and will get in arguments with students who find mistakes or have questions about the material/books. The books are written by regis professors – an obvious conflict of interest and are required for the class. The clinical instructors are VERY untrustworthy, and will cover their back in an instant, and put the students at risk. Even though they are supposed to protect students, and teach them during clinical. The dean for the nursing school terrible, and should really be looked into. She claims to care about the students well being and wants them to suceed. Of course this all happens virtually or in a big lecture hall in front of all the students. When met with individually she acted as if she was listening and responded with a gereic response she probably tells all students/ has a list and chooses one that matches what the student says –> all she had to say was "I dont care," and literally reapeated that after I tried to explain. All very degrading and emotionally traumatizing when nurses in school are already loaded with busy work from class, and clinical work assigned by the clinical instructor and from the class teacher. Lisa Zenoni comes off as the sweetest lady during orientation, and seems super supportive of students succeeding. After school starts shes very passive aggressive, and gets very defensive when she is confronted about being wrong. All in all, if admitted to the nursing program, be aware of every rules in the student guide, and dont follow the directions of the clinical instuctors as those rules dont match the regis rules and those are grounds for dismissal. Understand the teachers and how they teach and be ready to teach yourself. As for the students, the younger students who went throught the regis college are very rude to the transfer students and try to get them in trouble due to the fact that theu are usually smarter, do really well in all the classes, and are very motivated. Be very careful where trust is,placed as it is easilt used to get students in trouble.maria trick

Disappointment at every turn. I'm a student at Regis, was using my GI Bill here. I've seen a lot of my classmates (BS Computer Science) not able to find the classes offered needed to graduate on schedule. The course offerings are pretty sporadic, graduating on time is unlikely. I was pursuing a certificate in Information Systems Security along with a BS in Computer Science, but the Advanced Unix course that was required for the certificate is offered once a year and often doesn't even run. Now the certificate has been withdrawn. The advisors are helpless. The closer you get to graduation, the harder it is to find the classes you need. I have been advising my veteran friends to attend other schools. The professors here are top notch. They are the only reason I can give Regis two starts instead of one.Zach Zachareas

If you don't already have a job in the computer programming world, do not bother going to Regis through their online computer science degree program. The program has many errors in both the content, the instructions, and even in the grading of assignments. The cost of their program is incredibly expensive, unacceptably so with the errors they have in their own coursework. You also spend all of your time reading and teaching yourself since there are little to no videos available. This is fine if you have experience in the field already or are fine with reading a textbook, but if you are looking for someone to actually teach you this is not the location you want to go. My daughter just graduated from Cal U. She had an excellent experience and enjoyed her 4 yrs there. She has continued to a masters program at Pitt and has had no trouble finding work or getting accepted into other programs. All universities function in a similar way and it's up to the student to take advantage of all the opportunities that the school offers. Frankly, I see Cal U as an extremely good value that all students should consider before getting into crazy debt at other universities.Eddie Aguirre

Very nice but small University. Very clean and there were lots of campus police around. The cafeteria was limited on options. They could definitely do better with that. Probably the worst options from any of the 10-15 campuses we've visited. Only other downside is it's literally in the middle of nowhere. Nothing is around. I believe this is a good school. I think I got a good graduate level education here. The tuitions are reasonable. Being in a less urban area, it is usually easier to find parking than the university where I completed my undergraduate degree. Another nice feature is that alumni can get extremely reasonable rates for continued membership in the fitness center.Michael T Goodside

Loved my college experience at UB. Quality academics, quality student life. There is great diversity which will help you with life after college. Food is good, not great, but what do you expect when you are cooking for the masses. Wish people cared more about the athletics. They have made north campus and the apartments surrounding it nice. The alumni base from what I can tell is Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, NYC, Chicago and DC. I also love the city of Buffalo. Downtown offers a lot to do for a mid size city.Joe Segrue

This place is like a palace. Massive, I visit it there on a trip. It took me about 3 hours just to walk around the whole school. Also visit the inside as a visitor. Its a amazing university that offers many course. Lot of friendly people. Adviser will always help student even though their is a lot of student. Amazing Lab as well. The first few weeks wasn't bad as I met new people and made new friends. However, as I expected its academic standards to be at the level of prestige, I was only left with dissapointment and regret in the end. As I wanted to live in scottland rather than London, I turned down the offer from the LSE and its well known edge prestige at the same time. Despite my expectations of edinburgh uni education, the academic intensity in Edinburgh was low with lack of encouragement of studying. I am an international student paying so much fees and I learnt nothing at this university except for the 3 weeks of the exam season. I try to learn but my friends go out a lot and the school never encourages learning. It feels like I am spending money on social life…… I dropped out and I should have just went to the LSE despite not liking the busy London. Thus, now my view is that, after experiencing the Edinburgh uni, I'd rather be stressed with heavy academic work at LSE (which I was trying to kind of avoid) than wasting my tuition fees on not learning anything for the whole year. This is my personal review so take it with a pinch of salt though.Junghoon Kim

The worst university ever. I can't imagine why they give you uncountable pages of readings a week while the tutors teach you nothing about how to write an essay. I was here for two years after my time at Nova CC. I was with the Schar School of Policy and Government. It was a fantastic experience I wouldn't trade for anything. The professors are all experts in their fields with PhD's. Everyone in my classes were respectful and engaging. For a social life it was average, you have to make your own friends by joining clubs or living in dorms with your door open. Be polite and talk to people. Infrastructure wise there is a huge effort by the university to modernize. With the Peterson Medical building, Nguyen Engineering Building, Fenwick library, exploratory building, and the new Robinson building that is being built in the middle of campus, it's gonna be great. For now the construction may put people off but it will become a great school for students and graduate students alike. 4/5 would do it again. Not really but still.Ameen Karim

The George Mason University is better than I expected going in. Many Norther Virginia High School students don’t really want to go to this school because they think it is not that good and they do not want to stay home. This is a great place to learn especially is you are on a budget. Stay at home and commute, it is a great way to save money while getting a good quality education at a university. This school is great and although there is not much on campus culture, there are many things that make the school amazing. Great academics (I was in Family and Child Studies so I could eventually do Early Childhood P-3, and I know the Musical Theater and Dance programs are amazing. Also the Visual Communication Design BFA) but I have complaints about dorm life. I was put in a dorm room with a smoker even though I have a chronic illness and explicitly put on the roommate application that I did NOT want to live with a smoker. She came in every night smelling of smoke and it was not… a good situation. Not much to do on campus either as far as activities (personally, as I'm not one for sports or many of the clubs they offered) I did appreciate that there was an ice skating rink so close to campus! But I went home every weekend. Disability Resource Center is AWESOME. If you need support or accommodations because of a disability or chronic illness I strongly suggest checking in with them!!!Laura Whitney

Now that my son is graduating I can write a review. The school administration, professors, and overall staff are unresponsive and ill informed. Takes weeks to get answers and then they are conflicting. Graduation ceremony multiple posts graduates need to be there for 11 no 12 no 11. Guests can arrive 60 minutes early. Guests stand In Parking lot 7 . No one there directing people to opposite side of building for entrance. Graduates just standing around in the parking lot again no direction. Not sure why I would expect anything more it's been 4 yrs of an incompetent administration what's a few more hoursAl Burbank

We went there for a sports clinic . Nice facility and staff. The campus seems well maintained and up dated. The training was professional. I’m not certain about the academics, as we were not there to take a class. The campus is a bit sprawling and it took a bit to figure out where we needed to go…all in all- the road signage is adequate. There is a Yogi Berra stadium which looked interesting.eric j
