I appreciate Rasmussen University for having an abundance of resources and many professors and other staff members who demonstrate they want students to succeed. I especially have enjoyed being a peer educator, being privileged to work with Tammy Hopps who is an excellent supervisor and leader, and also being able to work with other peer educators who care for their peers as much as I do. I transferred from a local state college, which I considered sticking with to save money, but in reality, not much is saved when you compare the timeframe for graduation. At the state college it would take me an extra 2 whole years to receive my BSN, whereas at Rasmussen I save 2 years of time because of their second-degree BSN option. I am very pleased with the quality of technology – at the state school blackboard and other resources were slow and did not work as well on my cell phone, whereas with Rasmussen I can easily access everything I need from my phone when I'm on the go. It's inspiring to see so many single parents and married parents in school, some of which also work full time or part time like myself while completing their degree. I had such high hopes when enrolling at this school. However my experience hasn't been favorable at all. I am a current student and I was disappointed because even though I was able to enroll and start classes I really felt unsupported on this journey. I'm realizing Rasmussen may not be the school for me. I REALLY thought I would be supported and encouraged. I was made to feel that Rasmussen would be rooting for me through my academic journey. Instead I am bombarded with emails and calls telling me what I already know… I owe money. No calls or emails about how I can be helped to budget so that I can pay more toward the balance. I'm only being told: what I owe, to get the balance down to $500-$1000 and to take out loans; which will only put me in debt and it's too early to be taking out loans when I've been in school since September of 2021 and have 2 more years. Also this school doesn't cater to single parents, limited income and individuals that HAVE to work. This school ONLY has day classes for the nursing program and as I said before I HAVE to work full time.Sherria Clark

This morning I called the university for the North Orlando Campus for the Nursing program and spoke to the director of Nursing who was discusstingly rude on the phone. I called to get information, He had no patience and told me Not to proceed a career in Nursing because it was Not for me. This school is some sort of racket, I would recommend looking elsewhere to receive your degree. The school’s “academic advisors” are actually the program directors and professors, so they have a personal interest in what classes they put you in and won’t let you choose or advocate for yourself. Because of this, they are also not interested in solving problems you may face because then they’d have to take responsibility for them. The TAs barely know what they’re supposed to be instructing you in, and will get flustered if you have a question and do the work for you instead of actually teaching you to be self-sufficient. Additionally, the course descriptions are severely lacking and you will find that the instruction for nearly all classes feels very clandestine and disorganized. There is no transparency or way to make an informed decision at this “school”. For those living on campus in student housing, you may experience mold, insects, and furniture caked in animal hair. The school will not put effort into remedying this. The cafeteria food is abysmal after the first week of classes. There is a large foreign student population at this school, FIT may be relying on their newness to the States in order to maintain their poor standards. For those of us who value receiving a first-world and excellent education, I suggest NOT ATTENDING FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.K Washington

First. This place has its ups & downs. But one thing’s for sure, they provide quality education as good as Ivy leagues. 80% of Professors are great at teaching. Some will even be the reason youre passionate about you’re major. Downside to this place is the QS ranking(doesn’t exist on there). But they make up to that by being well known in the community & having connections with big engineering companies. I graduated may2020 with an Bsc in ME. & am now getting my masters at UCI in MAE. Let me tell you I study with students from berkely & UCSD & I am just as knowledgeable as they are or even better at times. One of the downsides is the extremely expensive university housing which you’re forced as an international student to stay in for 1 year. Wish FIT imvested a bit more on better parking lol. Best 4 years of my life. Even though Melbourne is extremely boring. Orlando & miami are 1 & 2:30 hours away. Don’t ever estimate the quality of education FIT is providing. Florida Tech has been my home away from home. The energy the place and the people have is unique and would say that I am as happy as I can be here at Florida Tech. Ever since I started attending school here I felt like my education and wellness was more than covered. It has given me connections and friendships that will last forever and I will forever be grateful to have chosen Florida Tech. My professors have always been caring and helpful and I have never felt like I didn't belong here. I loved the community and how many different clubs and organizations they have, so socializing has been an easy part as well. It is a fantastic place to study if you are interested in the aerospace industry. The campus is beautiful and well maintained, and the facilities are top notch. Computers in the IT labs dual boot to Linux for research as well which is useful for many situations. Yes you will pay the price, you are also paying for the name itself so plan ahead. If you get no scholarships it is probably not worth it unless you are actually planning to be a pilot (and in that case, get your PPL before you come here, that's the way to do it). In cases like engineering degrees (not aero), there are cheaper options, albeit with less of an aerospace focus. They do make efforts to stay up to date with where the industry is moving (like the new data science program + courses), and provide access to relevant industrial projects through the Micaplex and professor's projects. The standards are higher than other universities – it can be hard to transfer credits sometimes (even basic Calc courses sometimes, so be aware, there is actually an application process for credit transferal). I personally found the food horrible minus a few on campus places. The Sodexo food servicing they use can be really gross, although it may have changed since. Make sure to get involved with some research when you are here and take advantage of minor courses of study to gain more depth in your studies. If you are debating whether to attend, do spend a few days in Daytona to get a sense of what it's like. There's an airport, the main ISB strip mall sort of vibe, and… a beach. The place ignites with people for the race events and spring break, but otherwise is a fairly average Florida beach city that has an oversized main route. You will want a car or some way to get around, there is only so much to do on campus. Areas like mason ave are surprisingly close and full of riff raff and crime. Alright, I've been in industry for almost 30 years now and I have come to a conclusion that I will not hire from Embry Riddle and I have couple of other universities blacklisted as well. Why I say this? 1) Of the ~370+ folks I have met from this university not one can survive in a technical role. The students are very high level and when asked to go in deep I have yet to meet anyone that can. 2) Most end up in management roles. This is not a good type, it's mainly because it is hard to execute technically and the arrogance is equivalent to a Texas A&M or UT Graduate. Again all negative connotations. 3) The students only have merit as a FAA private pilot; when it comes to building real planes and avionics they fall short of knowing anything except to test a system with zero flaws. If an issue arises they have to go to someone who has technical and flight experience. 4) I see these folks as paper pushers and requirements writers. Most candidates do not know technical so they end up as technical writers or paper pushers for engineers that understand and execute to engineering abilities. I could blast this school on its poor graduate standards, but its a private institution that is after you money. You have been warned.M K

Before you make decision attend this school. Think about these: 1. Spedning 1 hr everyday just to find a parking spot to attend class. 2. You have to pay extra 600 bucks just to use the newly built parking garage on top of the $225 parking permit. 3. For those not willing to spend one hr finding parking: You may receive $50+ fine for every improper parking just because they sell more parking permits than the spots they have. (Imagine you are exhausted from all day class, then the first thing you see on the way home is another parking ticket, you know how does that feel.) The school is not helping you focus on study. 4. You can totally find a better aeronautical school with this tuition rate unless someone else is paying for you. For international students: Definitely not a friendly school for international students as they have the nearly worst international student service department across nation. When I initially came into this school I wanted to eventually go into their graduate program. The admissions advisor told me that I would have a higher change if I got my undergrad there as well. So I did. I graduated with a 3.4, the teachers were amazing and then I go to apply for my graduate program. Due to covid the interview was over the phone. The gentleman that interviewed me asked me why I wanted to go into mental health and I explained to him how in the past I had a substance abuse problem (I wanted to be as honest as I could) because I had been saved and I felt like my purpose was to be a vessel of god and help others. The minute I said that to him he answered “I AM SORRY BUT I DONT KNOW HOW I WILL BE ABLE TO PRESENT YOU IN FRONT OF THE COMMITTEE” “MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE SOME TIME OFF”. He did finish the interview but weeks later I received a letter saying that I was denied admission to the school. I was already in the school, so I called and no one understood why I wasn’t accepted. My advisor was confused, my teachers and myself. When I asked why I wasn’t accepted so that I can work on it and fix it no one knew. They said the committee looks at different things and decides. I had classmates with lower GPAs that were admitted, I had one friend who had failed a class and was admitted and I wasn’t admitted simply because I have a past with mental health. I asked to email someone so I may get an answer as to why this happened. They didn’t even send me the proper letter stating I wasn’t accepted into the program. No one ever got back to me and honestly it shattered me because here I am paying 3 times the amount of a state university to be discriminated by my past. I personally did not like the college. I decided to leave after one semester because I didn’t feel the Christian culture as I should have. They don’t cater to commuter students. And the professors that I had didn’t care if you learned or not. The people in student services were rude to me and it showed me their true colors. They are nice when they want you to apply and mean after you apply. They lie and say they have scholarships to offer you and then in the end you have to take out loans. They chose my classes because I was a freshman and I didn’t like most of my teachers. They also put me in the wrong math class and when I transferred out it took so long that I already miss majority of the work and had to drop the class altogether. I wouldn’t recommend this college at all. They were expensive for no reason. I also didn’t like that they force you to do community service. When offering to the community it should be our choice because it will be in good will and our own choice. I got scammed by getting a 10k grant and got stuck with owing the school WAY more then was suppose to. The number one reason you are considering going to business school is to improve your career situation, get a better job, move industries maybe even move to another country. If so, Kenan Flagler is not the school for you. Career services have issues with retaining talent, which means that the people who are supposed to help the most are inexperienced. The same is true for the administration, for example, the director of the MBA program is new, the head of career services just quit after a year in her role, her predecessor had similar time in the program. Career professionals for consulting and investment banking are also new. About financial aid- GMAT score might get you financial aid from the school, which for many helps the decisions for ROI reasons, but i offer you not to be tempted by the money. From the top of my head, I'm thinking of at least 3 classmates with full rides and no offers meaning the very qualified people are not doing well because of the current situation at the school. Managment: The management is currently putting its effort into it online MBA program and not in the MBA, from a financial point of view it makes sense, the program has an infinite capacity for students with no GMAT requirements which leads to incredible income from that venue but it also means less attention and investment in full-time MBA students. What I like about KFBS: North Carolina and the Triangle generally is a pretty chill location, cost of living is pretty low and the weather is nice. The academic staff is great and I enjoyed many of my classes. If you enjoy sports the local sports scene is cool.Jefri Tamba

It’s honestly sad that you can tell a lot of the people employed here were educated here as well. Let me tell you of the nightmare that was my initial experience at Warner University. It starts with enrollment and everything is fine, then I receive my first schedule and realized I had two classes scheduled at the same time, this confused me so I spent weeks trying to get in touch with the proper person to solve the issue. Next off to financial aid after filling out the required paperwork months in advance I still have to make 2 repeat visits as well as a stop on my first day due to “incomplete or missing paperwork” otherwise known as lost. I then am told a week before classes start that I owe $4000 and missed my first payment a week ago and to be sure to get it in before the first day of classes. This confuses me and of course after weeks of trying to get the appropriate folks to answer the phone I am told that I was enrolled as an “on-campus” student. This also confuses me as I had filled out the form stating I would be a commuting student, and so I ask and of course there is no responsibility taken I am simply expected to fill out yet another form in duplicate. All of this would be understandable if it weren’t for a hit or miss teaching faculty and the fact that the school’s “business office” (what a joke!) has been jacking me around on receiving a refund on the payment I had to make before classes start but later found out was unnecessary. So I am stuck as a broke college student waiting on the inept staff of Warner University to provide me my refund so that I may finish my semester here and be done with their backwards mindset.Best Wishes

Our daughter was so excited to attend a university for her first year and within 1 month begged to come home because the school is not what they claim. It’s dorms and even apartments are left unlocked at all time and the campus isn’t safe for anyone. Some very bad things have happened and students are not made aware to take precautions. The school will say the students can use the gym but get kicked out because staff will not take the time to supervise( required to be in the gym). Staff told my daughter they are not paid enough. If you get on a basketball scholarship make sure it’s varsity because the JV team is a joke and they don’t get uniforms or anything for that matter. Track coach is awesome but no track on campus. Security is never seen and no help. My daughter is leaving after 1 semester and get get home fast enough. She feels unsafe and Holland apartments on campus never answer calls or try to help with anything.Ann in the office is the only level headed worker on campus. The teachers are great but the cheer coaching was a nightmare. My daughter and her boyfriend will continue their education someplace that actually has the school under control and can handle safety issues in a professional manner and keeps the students safety a priority.Theresa Grieves

Biggest gripe with school is that it is NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL. Unless your getting a degree in education you might want to go somewhere else. Most education majors graduate with jobs., Business and all others are unknown to me because for the past two years i have been there I've seen or heard nothing about internships or anything. Freshman building is awful, small faculty which makes financial aide and other papers forever to process which are crucial to your college success. Although they are small the are friendly. I would like to start by saying that I began my education with USF which was great for the college experience. Ultimately I chose South University because of the accreditation, better fit with my hectic life and because my coworkers at the hospital suggested it as a reputable place to pursue my Masters in Nursing. I enrolled with the online school first thinking that was the answer but I was not happy at all with the lack of customer service trying to get in touch with people was very difficult and I believe that the online courses do not prepare you for the in depth nature of what you need to know as a nurse practitioner. I took some time off before eventually giving the Tampa campus program a shot which was the best decision for me. Customer service overall was excellent, the classes are only one day a week so it still fit my schedule and the professor interaction was what I needed to feel like I was actually learning something. I also was very impressed at how accessible the school administrators and the director of the program are. It is not to say that there won't be bumps along the road but I couldn't have made a better decision for my life and my education.Vincent Papolo

I have been attending the Tampa location and It has changed my life in a positive way. This it the first nursing program that I have found here in the south where most of the administration including program directors are African American. That means a great deal to me because I aspire to equal success in life. I also have been exposed to the best encouragement that I have ever witnessed during my entire scholastic journey. I am looking forward to continuing my education including post graduate degree at this institution. I would have never had the drive to continue forward at this institution if it was not for the exceptional staff that are always readily available to help guide you through your experience. School rating: 1/5 They are very money oriented and not very helpful. They have a tendency to make things up to get you to sign up. The program is super expensive. They kicked me out because my GPA dropped bellow 2.5. OT Program rating 0/5 I was attending the Occupational Therapy program and had a very bad experience. Five students out of sixteen made it to the last semester, which was above average. All you will be required to do is learn how to write papers. If your GPA drops bellow 2.5 you will be kicked out. The worst professor by far is Kevin Bobos 0/5. He brags about never giving a student a good grade. He is the least educated of all professors and seem to suffer from inferiority complex. Submitted my University of Florida application to attend online in May 2021 to start January 2022. I currently have a bachelor's degree from another school and wanted to start working toward a second one. I was assured that I will be good to go and able to meet my goal. Then I get this phone call last week (Oct 2021) from the school of business denying my application, although I did not apply to the school of business. I applied to the University of Florida online to take lower-level classes. Unfortunately, my application was misinterpreted wrong and this unprofessional advisor from the school of business tried to get me to attend the University of Miami. Decided to transfer after my private pilot a couple months ago. After COVID, management became extremely unorganized and through sources, the flight school started to lose students since are pushed to an extreme, unreal standard. Instructors sometimes even push to unset flight lessons because they want to feed off of their student’s hours. I recommend this flight school if you have a very high amount of money to spend on training, and a high tolerance for an over-the-top, strict lesson plan. Best decision I made was to transfer, as I could notice the downward spiral early. You are placed under a magnifying glass and every member of management staff I’ve met had a tense personality, and do not belong anywhere near someone who loves to fly. Look north for Melbourne flight training, or Embry Riddle if you want a part 141 school.Claudia pay

I was an student from England, that initially attended FIT Aviation for my EASA time-building. They are an approved EASA ATO therefore, I undertook my EASA ATPLs and Multi Engine CPL here. The training I received was truly outstanding and second to none, I could not recommend FIT Aviation enough, top notch school. The aircraft are maintained to the highest and most professional standard I have ever seen, the instructors are most friendly and welcoming, they truly care for your progression along whichever course you may be undertaking. FIT Aviation is also very well organized (which I was most impressed by). I hope any future pilot will see this and will take an opportunity to visit FIT Aviation, you will not be let down! If you want to waste your time and money then good luck with this school, i had more than 7 horrible instructors only one of them was really great. The biggest problem is the lack of professional training in flight and ground knowledge you always feel like you are lost. If you are an international or scholarship student they get really greedy trying to take an advantage of you. Mr.Gibbes the chief head is moody one day he smiles in your face the other day he won’t even talk to you. I am currently a student at Keiser University Clearwater campus. The staff has ALWAYS gone above and beyond to support and help me through my journey. I have been attending since Jan. 2017 and I will be graduating in Dec. of this year with my Associates degree in Science and will be a Certified Surgical Technologist. From the first day I came to Keiser I always felt at home, the teachers and staff always make sure everything is okay and check with you frequently to ensure your success. I have been here for a year for my prerequisite at keiser. This school has lack of tutors and resources to help students. The school doesn't care about the students well being, even if your child has health issues. With in the year I was in so much debt with student loans! They will blame you for not knowing there were an tutoring class that is open one day a week, but no one tells you anything when you are asking for help. The guidance counselor never call you back ( Stephanie Stinson) you always have to hunt them down to get answer. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this school, unless you want to be in debt.Lamesha Murray

It was OK, I transferred to SPC which is working out better for me. I think Keiser University has some good programs their classes move very quickly so it could be tough to keep up. I did like the campus in Tampa there was a computer lab on every floor and it was nicely built. I would say its one of the better accelerated schools because the credits are transferable and you will graduate with an actual degree . However , they are expensive because they are a private college. Due to the classes being faced paced I felt like I didn't absorb as much information .lauren Pinto

There are very few Universities that I am aware of, that are as committed to providing an exemplary education to students who, but for their economic status, would not receive such an education. As I understand it, IUL's mission is to change the dynamics of the educational playing field by reaching out to under privileged young men and women, who believe that they live in a world that has forgotten about them. IUL gives these young education-seekers the opportunity to receive a top notch undergraduate and/or graduate level education. Graduates are then positioned and poised to pursue careers that they had only dreamed might be available to them. I am very proud to be a professor at a school that puts their students ahead of their endowment. A school that understands their responsibility is not to make money, but to educate. A school that puts its money where its mouth is, by using the tools available to teach everyone and anyone, from any country. I shudder to think what most ivory tower residents likely think about the value of an education at IUL. Why? Because they come from schools that provide but a limited examination of the real world around us. As such teachers and leaders at these colleges possess but a limited understanding of the realities of life on our planet, having been educated themselves at these schools. Their reach only goes as far as the valedictorians of local high schools, while they intentionally exclude every other student, with the notable exception of other students who are legacies or who comes from wealthy families that are willing to pay much more than the cost of tuition to have their children educated at so-called prestigious institutions. However, we cannot fault the ivory tower residents who operate these money-making-machine Universities, as this is all they know. They've been brainwashed into believing their way is the right way and they're role is to perpetuate the same old message – that they are better than others and that as such they are deserving of more of the planet's resources than others. And so they take up the same cause as their teachers and their teachers teachers before them by convincing each generation of their natural and god-given right to a larger share of the pie than others, and so goes this simple message forever. Having never experienced anything but a direct path to comfort, their eyes are unequipped to focus on anything but their needs and wants. Those needs and wants supersede those of everyone else. Why? Because their belief system is deeply ingrained. They deserve more because their fathers' or their grandfathers' have worked hard to attain Estates who's rightful owner is their progeny. Why? I am unfortunate enough to be a student at Palm bay academy and i can confidently say that it is a terrible school. the students there are rude and disrespectful, with no consideration for their classmates and their teachers. students are being bullied, girls are being sexually assaulted, and a slap on the wrist is the only punishment. As for the food, its not uncommon to find plastic, tinfoil, and even hair, in the meals (which are not filling)they serve at palm bay academy. sometimes the chicken they serve is under cooked. in addition, the resources at this school are dwindling, and Palm bay academy doesn't have enough money to restock. The library, is literally, crawling with roaches, and the bathrooms are decorated with profane graphite, and the uniform policy displays sexism in its darkest form. Two teachers have left this school in the middle of a semester and I cannot blame them. Parents claim that ever since they sent their kids to palm bay academy, their academic grades have been getting lower and lower. don't make the same mistake they did. Going to graduate this summer semester. My experience here at usfsm was in every sense of the word, magical. The thing I love about going to such a small campus is that you are afforded so much more individual attention than you would be at a larger institution. This also means that there are significantly more opportunities for students to take advantage of. I went to Japan on a business scholarship for 2 and a half weeks (essentially for free) that is specific only to usfsm. I founded a prominent film club on campus, and even became student body president, designing and approving a $1.7 million dollar renovation of our student space from the ground up. I was shy in high-school, and the type of students here are too, but if you take the time to get to know everyone, they eventually help bring out the best in you and everyone else around them (even themselves). As for the comment that was made about advising, things are kind of in a bad spot right now, but I'm confident that under the leadership of Chancellor Stone things will be ironed out fairly soon. But overall, the small class experience, individual attention, and sheer multitudes of unique opportunities makes USF Sarasota-Manatee a force to be reckoned with.Alexander Benishek

USFSM proclaims to have a personable experience. Though this maybe true for some students; it wasn't for me. My experience as a new transfer student was VERY unpleasant, from the academic advisors to financial aid. I even reached out to admissions for help because I wasn't getting the resource and tools they represent at USFSM; still no help. I feel as though new students should have proper guidance in their first semester at least but everything they stated in "open house" has yet to be true. If your looking for a college that care for their new students and students in general, you won't find it here; in my opinion!S H

this is a small, private university in DeLand, Florida, between Orlando and Daytona. there are a few residence halls and academic buildings, a student union with a dining hall and study spaces, a wellness & recreation center, and a physical & mental health center. there’s also lots of greenery around the campus, making it a beautiful place to walk through.Manal Ammagui

We toured this college for my son, he loved it but we couldn't make the costs work, I expect he would have attended their business school otherwise. Very modern campus, the business related areas we toured were modern. Admissions staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly.Scott Malin
