20 Best Acting Programs In Las Vegas, NV (2022 Updated)

Went to see Shania Twain on September 9th for my birthday on my birthday. Absolutely disappointed. Started 30 mins late. Couldn't see her at all sitting or standing, seats were very bad not staggered my mum had to stay seated for most of the show as did women in front, Even if it was shown on screen behind her would have been better No air con in arena far too hot. I went to the toilet there was TV on there could see more there, didn't think show could get worse it did when we left it was a sham no organisation my mum was scared my husband got her I just barged people out of the way. Venue should not be used for singers. If it is, then everyone should stay seated (don't know why people need to stand) Shaina was fantastic. She should be in different theatre. Zappos Theater is a great concert venue. I saw John Legend’s concert in this theater, it was an amazing show. The acoustics and lighting were incredible throughout the show. The seating was exceptional, the view was amazing since the venue is intimate and the theater is very large. I really enjoyed the concert and would definitely see another concert at Zappos Theater.Derrick Grant

We went to Vegas just for the Shania show. Had excellent seats in the VIP section. Except the lady seated next to us took a bath in cologne. We both have reactions to such. My mom and I attended the performance of The Band's Visit at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts last weekend. She is a long-time season ticket holder and we have great seats for this stunning venue where traveling Broadway shows perform. Parking is $5 in the garage and it is a short walk from the parking garage to the venue. They even offer golf cart shuttles for those who may need extra assistance. The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is located next to Symphony Park, which is a beautiful, small open rectangular space with sculpture at each end and benches for quiet contemplation. If it is a nice day (and it was), you can even have a picnic in the park before or after the performance. Doors to the venue opened 1 hour before showtime and the doors to the seating area opened 30 minutes before the show. By the showtime at 2pm, the venue was over 95% full. I highly recommend seeing Broadway shows at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.Austin Rosenthal

My family and I have attended two different shows at The Smith Center (Wicked and Six). During both events, we didn't experience anything negative about this place. Parking wasn't an issue, the staff were super friendly, prices for snacks were "reasonable," and the entire establishment was clean…including the bathrooms. During Wicked, we sat in the orchestra area and thought the seating was perfect for us. During Six, we sat in the center gallery area and felt the seating was complimentary in seeing the entire choreography. Not sure if there's a "bad seat" in this place, but I'm sure there are some that are less desirable; however, I haven't confronted those yet. There's nothing more to say except if you attend an evening show here, try to get there early and go up to the balcony – great ambiance! The attached photos are from the balcony area. SHEN YUN!!!! If you haven't seen it, you have to treat yourself. Shen Yun is Chinese translates to the beauty of divine beings dancing in the heavens; and that's exactly what you will see when you go. The production is staged at the beautiful Smith Center near North Premium outlet mall. The production is approximately two hours and fifteen minutes with a fifteen minute intermission in the middle. The production has variations of dance in the Chinese culture that are followed by gorgeous costumes full of colors. The orchestra played beautifully. If you missed the production this year, be sure to add it to the calendar for next year!!Epiphany

Really productions is one of the best or even the best Acting School here in Las Vegas Chelsea and Dan are very inspiring and extremely helpful to help you towards your acting career. They definitely will take care of you and even go beyond their reach to make sure that you’re satisfied and believe it or not countless people from Los Angeles actually come all the way to Las Vegas to come work with them so I think that speaks a lot and this isn’t no ordinary Acting School you’re definitely get a lot of hands on experience and even credit on your IMDb. You got to learn how to read a script and after that you get a star in your own mini film where you practice acting out and eventually actually filming. The films are actually edited and posted to film festivals and the best part is you get credit every time you doing these I highly recommend for anybody interested in ActingDavid Vargas

Beautiful campus, but the head of school struck me as unhappy person, antagonistic and with no qualms about contorting her face in disapproval when she disagreed with my views of education, failing to ask me for any clarification–just instant disapproval. While the head of the middle school was more friendly, talking with him was an exercise in patriarchy. I was surprised to learn that he does not have an advanced degree, and that the middle school is trying to raise reading skills and scores, but with no clear plan yet on how to do it. The few teachers I met seemed like earnest people, but perhaps they are hamstrung by the director's lack of experience.Stephenie Swindle

My daughter has been at The Adelson Educational Campus for 6 years now and I will say that it has been a wonderful experience. This school is nurturing and has been attentive to the child at every stage of early development in education and social skills. One of those show which is A Must when you visit Vegas. The price is up to value . It is funny ,it has great performers from all over the world. Sometimes it is so scary , but very impressive !! Wow. What an entertaining show. I couldn’t believe it when it was over as I was so thoroughly engrossed in the show. The seats and sight lines were perfect and I doubt that there is a bad seat in the house. Another impressive aspect of this show is the music- all performed live and in sync with the show. The Voice Actor's Studio is an amazing experience! I took the 4-week Beginner's Voice Over course having absolutely no previous knowledge, and boy was I blown away! Milla, our audio expert, was super down to earth, extremely genuine, and above all else, patient! She always took time after class to answer any and all questions or concerns that we come across. I often saw Milla taking extra time to encourage fellow students along the journey! Super cool! Brent was our instructor, a professional actor who works in video games and animations! On our first day of class, he spared no delay in making us feel comfortable and at ease. He kept the lectures fun, engaging, and interesting, but also provided his own hard-earned advice from years in the industry. His teaching style was so heartfelt, and his feedback and advice was bursting with genuine care and concern for his students — you could see the passion he exuded when providing insight, advice, and feedback on our reads during booth time. What is booth time, you ask? For anyone curious, booth time is a period of class in which students read scripts aloud in the Voice Actor's Studio recording booth! The gear is of the highest industry quality, so when you actually get on the microphone, you can really hear your voice in a totally different light! For those of you who are new to voice acting and have never been inside one of these beauties, the recording room literally feels like you are entering a spaceship from Star Trek when the door closes! The best part is when the headphones go on and the dead silence takes over — then it's just you, the mic, and the script in front of you (or in my case, a pair of chattering teeth as I tried to mumble out my first few words)! I admit that I struggled on the first day, but Brent and Milla were 100% there for me when I reached out to them for advice. They immediately emailed me back with a great list of suggestions on how to improve, which I began to slowly implement. Then, something magical happened – something started to click! Then it was off to the races! In the weeks that followed, whenever I encountered an issue beyond what was covered in class, Milla and Brent would immediately respond with their expertise to steer me back on the right path. They offered advice on everything from understanding noise floors to practicing more efficiently! On our third week, the owner, Melissa Moats personally visited us at the studio to teach a segment critical to the Voice Over industry — Marketing and Business! It was amazing to hear an industry pro of over 20 years share her hard-earned wisdom. Every single one of the reviews describing the kindness, enthusiasm, and passion Melissa exhibits for the people she meets is absolutely true! I left that day feeling more motivated and pumped to continue practicing harder than I ever have in my life. Move over, Tony Robbins! From my three weeks of attending the 4-week Beginner's Voice Over Workshop, I've learned that this is far from simply a "classroom" that one simply visits along one's journey and then forgets about. Just recently finished the 4 week intro to Voice Acting beginner course and have already signed up for more. Melissa is an amazing teacher with great insight into the industry. She creates a friendly encouraging environment to learn and hone your craft while also providing industry specific critique to ensure you grow in the right direction. Your several classmates become a great aid as well as she encourages us to help one another and teaches that we are not competing but cooperating in this business which dissolves any rivalries or cliques before they can start. I've never been in a more inviting learning environment and have never felt more free to be my true self. If you are unsure about whether or not this a good path try the introduction class for one day and work your way into the 4 week beginner course. Even if you feel that it wont work for you there is no denying that you will have a blast and create long lasting friendships. I almost forgot to add the specialized training courses she offers with special guests. I recently did a course with Melissa Disney who just did the voice over announcer work for the billboard music awards. She gave her own personal insight and helped us learn about animation VO and how to prepare for this life as a career. There are amazing improv classes run by Brent and many other specialized classes that cover everything from advertisements, video games, telephony, marketing, and many many more that will assist in whatever direction you decide to go. All in all. If you want to learn about Voice Acting or learn more about it and you live in Vegas there is no better place to spend your time than the Voice Actors Studio. I’m honestly not even doing this for the competition. I’m making this review because this place means so much to me and it’s the least I can do right now. I started going to this dance studio when I was 5 years old. That was 18 years ago. I first started out in Ms. Heather’s ballet class. Then I started taking tap classes and musical theatre classes on top of ballet class. I liked to keep myself busy as a kid. This place was like my family. Ms. Heather and Steve has made a huge impact in my life. I don’t know where I would be now without this dance studio. Ms. Heather shaped me into the woman I am today. She was tough and she made me cry, but it was so necessary. She taught me the discipline I need to not only level up in dance but to level up through life. She taught me to never give up no matter how much it hurts. (And trust me, going on pointe hurt!). I’m sad that I haven’t been going to the adult classes but that’s for my own personal reasons. Ms. Heather always welcomed me into her studio with open arms. And Steve would still call me by my name with his French accent no matter how long I’ve been gone. I've been going to Backstage Dance studio for longer than I can remember! It has helped me in my career and in my life. It is my lifeline to dancer friends. No one judges you there, so you feel like you're home. They also follow all the protocols of the pandemic and beyond, to ensure the safety of all those who enter through their doors. Their teachers are all professional dancers who performed all over the world. Their knowledge is profound, and they pass that knowledge to all those who take their class. This small, intimate theatre has excellent sight points and good acoustics. The Accidental Death of an Anarchist was a zany, satirical production about Italian politics in the 1970's mixed with commentary about America in 2019. As is always the case in these instances, nothing in the USA is ever worth praising and our leaders are despicable in every sense of the word. Unfortunate, indeed. Had the cast resisted the political commentary, the production would have been equally hilarious and thought provoking. Great acting, terrific energy, and exceptionally clever dialogue. A challenging undertaking that revealed the immense talent of the cast.Judith Haiduk

I LOVE this venue! Intimate but not cramped, and the location is PRIME. I love this part of town with its funky vibe, great restaurants and bars, cultural offerings. I just saw "Witch" there last night and it was INCREDIBLE. I was not prepared for all I saw but it was STUNNING. I laughed, spellbound at the actors' performances in this witty and charming piece. The Cockroach Theater is a cute little place. It's the most intimate theater I have ever experienced – you are literally immersed in the play. Right now, Project Neon (Highway Construction Project) is making getting in / out of the arts district a challenge. The box office was a bit hard to find but I persevered. You have park and walk to it. You can not see it from the street. There was a trainer and she was so concerned for making me wait and she was actually very congenial and kind. Went to an orchestra concert inside the Artemus Ham and it's totally underrated. It's a reasonably sized concert venue and the staff there are friendly. It's a complete difference than attending a show on the strip.Lisette Gonzales

Very disappointing. Charges 100 an hour, added on an extra $50 for the deposit he did not mention. During my session he and his girlfriend discussed other business twice until I said something. I was rushed because he had to take his girlfriend somewhere. We went through pieces of my film footage and he did not add peak performances that showed off my acting skills the best, as he agreed to. He had technical difficulties for at least 20 minutes and although that was the case I still paid him for that whole two hours of time I was there while experiencing technical difficulties with his software. Then I realized after I left that he sent me the wrong Reel. He reassured me he would be sending me the correct one within 30 minutes, but two hours later I still didn’t have it. I didn’t get a chance to watch the real completely until later that night. When I realized he left out my best performance clips, I immediately left him a message and text. And he never responded. I was impressed with the professional and warm experience that I had with every interaction with Rob Anthony Production. The detailed email of my appointment prior to the date of arrival made me feel that I was working with someone who had been in the film industry for a long time. The program is a good program.. the kids enjoyed it. The downfall is the price. If yoi find it gets too expensive to continue you cant get out. A contract is in place to keep that money coming whether you can afford it or not. And to boot, i paid 200 a month for 2 girls for 4 or so months, the very last month came out Aug 2 and the show is Aug 7. So a full month price with NO CLASSES in the month. So not cool to charge and entire month fee and schedule the show the 1st weekend of the month. Done with Hollywood Kids, I dont recommend unless you have a lot of money to spend on it.Tina Gleason

The staff treat all the kids with respect and make everyone feel special. My son has truly benefited from his attendance here. All the kids get a chance to participate in things and there is no such thing as "bully" here. It truly is not tolerated BY THE KIDS or the Staff.Rosanna Kent

An honest review… If you are offended by raunchy humor, vulgarity, cuss words BOLDLY describing male and female genitalia and what people do with it, irreverent religious humor, and seeing both male and female performers in thong underwear, do NOT go to this show. Note: there's zero nudity unless you consider the backside of a performer in a thong "nudity". If you are NOT offended by any of the above, you will be treated to a raucous evening of singing, dancing, humor, and some of the most incredible athleticism found anywhere. We were simply amazed by the actors and their performances. Was the humor overly vulgar? Yes, based on my tastes it was but those are simply my tastes. By contrast, we went to the Michael Jackson cirque du soleil show the night before and I found it overly serious and dull while trying to celebrate a hero of the music world while avoiding the fact he was a pedofile. While I can fault the writer of the script of Atomic for being overly vulgar, I cannot help but be amazed at the talent and effort the performers put into entertaining us. We loved the show and all the 1-star reviews are unfair to the performers who have gone above and beyond to produce an incredibly funny and entertaining show. Well done actors — well done indeed and thank you for the laughs. Have a few drinks before you go and if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen as this isn't a Disney show!Alex Bixby

We’ve seen Absinthe four times and Opium once so we were excited to see Atomic Saloon with friends. It did not disappoint! The comedy is raunchy (which we love) and the acrobatic acts we’re great. The intimate settings are something Spiegelworld does well to make you feel like part of the show. There is no bad seat at any of these shows. One of our favorite parts of these shows (unintended) is watching people who did not research the shows before attending. Sometimes, they look horrified and their expressions are super entertaining. If you like super dirty comedy, appreciate hot bodies doing fun and unbelievable acrobatics and belly laughing out loud, this show is for you!Donna Lee McBride

The show was ok. Not the worst, but not super impressive either. Not sure it worth the price of the tickets. We saw Absente before and was a way better show. The one star is most for the room, it was small and filthy! The air is all trapped. Felt like a dirty motel. Everyone sits close to each other in a super smoky cloudy room. To add insult, we always wear masks, but since no one worn mask that night in the room, so we didn’t either and two days later, we both have symptoms and tested positive for Covid! This is THE Perfect place for super spreader event, not sure even mask would have helped. The organizer should alert people to mask up!P L

Love this venue. Of course the valley was 100 degrees and Spring Mountain Amphitheater was 72. We all ran back to our cars and got blankets and any sweaters jackets or shirts we might have had left in the car. The Mary Poppins production was amazingly professional, just as we have seen in previous years. The voices clear and on pitch. Loved the Banks children. They did such a great job. Frankly everyone did a great job. Amazing voices and professional acting. Whoever is backstage doing the props and the scenery should be commended. They truly did a great job with little funding. I was happy to give additional money when they passed the Hat. The tickets are cheap and a great event. An opportunity to take your children and your family. One of the gems in the Vegas Valley. Great family activity. Top quality performances and the venue is awesome. As a tip, the venue is split into two sides, one with chairs and one where you can setup blankets and basically have a picnic. I always try to get on the blanket side and you need to get there EARLY. The gate opens 1hr before show time and then parking opens 1hr before the gate opens. I went recently and it was a sold out show. I got there and parked 15 minutes before the gate opened and there was already a pretty decent line of people forming. We ended up being about 3/4 of the way back in the blanket side. Had I gotten there 15 minutes later, there would be have been probably zero space on the blanket, definitely way too far back. I would have preferred even getting there a little earlier.Jeff Smith

I enjoyed the play and seeing Chuck Wagner. We were provided chairs on the floor level instead of on the raisers due to my disability. The only complaint I have is there was NO handicap parking. Their excuse was "it's a business building." My answer was, "so what." They could have created a handicap section. If they are going to continue to use this venue, they need to get the owner to put in handicap parking. They are serving the public and they are not in accordance with the ADA. Main complaint is the show tried to be “woke”. I don’t want to be lectured with a lesson on equity and rights when I see a fun variety show. I want to be entertained and have fun. The only real non-musical dialogue in the show was a preachy history lesson on equal rights that didn’t fit the theme of the show at all, wasn’t additive to the show and felt forced. Besides that, it was mostly super upbeat and fun and good talent, the Elvis actor was good but looked nothing like Elvis. I loved the little video at the end. I liked that it was on the shorter side so it only got boring for about 5-10 mins: other shows like Cirque du Soleil I feel like should be 30-40 mins shorter than they are, this one seemed only approx 8-9 mins too long. The value was good at approx $100 per ticket for good seats.Andrea Miller

Wow! What a show! The singing was fantastic the dancing fun and unique. We enjoyed it and enjoyed the tributes to some of our favorite songs too! The other entertainers were also fantastic. One of them almost had us rolling out of our seats with his fun comedy and all he really was supposed to do was juggle haha. The location is strange though and the 30 minute wait, before you can be seated in a crowded bar area with barely any seating or standing room, in the theatre is a huge negative though. If not for the exceptional entertainment i would not recommend.The McCreas

Wow, these performers are fabulous. The set and costumes are top notch. They deserve a better theater for sure. The dancing was awesome, singing was good. One of the ladies has the most beautiful, powerful voice, I'm surprised she isn't a headliner somewhere. Three generations went to this show. My kids loved it, no inappropriate dress, etc (really skimpy but more than some on the strip). The history of Vegas, using performers was delightful. Impressive show!Christiane Sanburn

The website says you need to reserve your spot before you come. This includes getting in the main entrance and of course the paid attractions will need tickets. The website wasn’t working for me to reserve a spot. It’s also not by hour, it’s by day. We got there and there’s a line if you already have tickets or need tickets. We needed tickets and it was simple. Sign in on the tablet and you’re in. We walked around both stories inside since it was free. You’ll have to research each attraction to see if you want the full experience. Which ranges from $5 to $50 tickets with average of $15. Definitely a lot of mystery and you’ll want to check it out. I would suggest to reserve an entire day to spend at Area 15. Most experiences suggests for at least two hour to tour the entire space. It’s also hot indoors especially when we layered on clothes from being 50 degrees outside so we had an ice cream and just people watched. Be prepared to have an awesome time with neon lights and electric music both inside and outside. 4 stars for website not working and for not answering the phones.My Le

Overpriced and toxic! We are not shocked by prices but this place exceeded Manhattan cocktail prices. $20+ for a single cocktail?! I don’t think so. We paid the price, they were good, but you are being gouged! We don’t understand the ID check? They checked out ID to enter and stamped our hand. Our ID was checked four more times around the building. We ended up with three different ID stamps on our hand?! So confusing and frustrating. Also, it’s frustrating that you can’t leave an area with your drink! This is Vegas…. You should be able to walk around with your cocktail. Especially after FOUR ID checks! The bar tenders tell you that you can walk around with cocktails after 10pm but the door security tells you something different. So frustrating! The most frustrating part… “skinny” attractive women were allowed to do what they wanted. No questions asked. Several times across the building women were able to take cocktails anywhere they wanted with no ID check. This place is toxic and overpriced. We will not be returning!Scott Greife-Wetenhall

It was a lot of fun, with a lot of features that stimulated your senses. Their food at The Beast and the ice cream booth in the main floor were absolutely delicious. It was a dun experience and definitely worth a visit, just to see the artwork in the front, the lights and displays inside, as well as the food. The only negative part is that each attraction inside of the main entrance are unreasonably expensive, and the only arcade there is 21+, which sucks when you want to bring your kids. If there was an option for other nonalcoholic or maybe a non 21-year-old arcade, then it would be the perfect place to take your family. Visited on
