Honestly, should have listened to everyone discrediting this school. Cheaper ain't better. This school has stressed me out and I've only been attending for one semester. They keep changing my aid amount, will not reimburse my refund and all together have made my college experience a nightmare in hell especially with me working full-time. It always something new going on with my financial information for the following semester and new requirements that were completed prior to me attending resurfacing. Who has the time to keep re-ensuring that they're getting the money they already previously accepted? It doesn't matter how early you send your FAFSA in, they will find a way to have it reprocessed so late that you won't recieve the amount you already accepted. Honestly, I want to withdraw this semester but my grades are so high it would be no point.Jazmyliena Martin

Very poor experience, people don't care about the disabled students, they had charged me over $1k for not helping me get into my classes and they've abandoned me in 2010. One star for absolute failure. Edit: 9/14/2022 this so-called trio program from Owens community college isn't helpful not resourceful of how am I supposed to go to college, they sign me up late not knowing I'm missing out on my assignments and these advisors in the school are lazy and rude like they don't care for the disabled students such as myself. Attended Owens and completed an Associates degree in 2001. Returned to a local area 4 year college to complete a Bachelor of Science. Due to the high cost and mediocre experience. I chose to take as many transfer classes as possible at Owens. A full time semester was a fraction of a 4 year college semester. Pretty rigorous course material and most importantly, courses are well structured, you could actually work ahead following the syllabus. Students and staff are pleasant. Have my 4 year degree, and returning to Owens for certificate programs to fill in the gaps from said 4 year college curriculum.Brent A.

There are sooooooo many colleges and universities in Northwest Ohio that would be a better choice than Lourdes. I got duped into coming here on the false pretense of discounted tuition and quick graduation. Nearly 3 years later, I'm still more than a year from graduation, I have not gotten one single penny off my tuition, as was previously promised, and the tuition has climbed by 150%… Transferring out to UT, something I should have done a long time ago.Patrick G.

Looking to get ready to take your NCLEX RN! Take this course in person! I was out of school for two years within them year I kept trying diff programs and attempting the NCLEX. Finally I knew I needed something to put me back into a routine, getting out the house to study and refresh my knowledge and all things I have learn from studying to talk it out and understand! If I could leave a zero star that’d be cool. I called to get basic information. Wanted to know transferable credits of and ADN degree to BSN degree. Was told o needed to “Speak English” (mind you I’m as English and American as it gets) I asked what he meant by to speak English and he said he didn’t understand was an ADN or BSN is. There’s more polite ways to ask about something you don’t understand than to straight up tell someone “I need you to speak English for me” like sir! I need you to speak more professionally for me. Disgusted. Btw don’t press “2” option or you’ll probably be talked to like a dog too.Kyra Yates

I’m currently an attending undergrad since 2019. I’ve only had one major issue and that was my academic advisor originally slotting 18 credit hours my first semester. But I got a new academic advisor and I’ve had no other issues. All of my professors have been nice even if they were strict with teaching methods. I could even say I’d miss a few of them cause they made classes with them super fun. Their Covid-19 response was also great and their testing centers were quick and easy to attend. The campus is also really nice in the spring/summer when it’s not too hot.C. H.

Denise, I added to this review, please read if you see this. I graduated from Mercy a few years ago. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever gone through. I did graduate and got what I went there for but students are repeatedly disrespected by teachers and the clinical instructors. The skills lab was a joke. I'd go in there to ask questions and I was told several times to find a book and look up the answer instead of doing their jobs that they are paid for and help a student with their knowledge. If I couldn't find the answer, they'd hand me another book to look at while they continued to have conversations with their co-workers. Most clinical instructors were mean and made you feel stupid, even in front of patient's. I may have a RN after my name but I regret going to this school. I'll never forget some of the cruel things several teachers have said to me and how unhelpful and unsupportive the staff was. After I graduated, several of the teachers got fired and I wasn't surprised. I don't recommend going to this school. Nursing school is hard enough and this school isn't worth the added stress. EDIT: Hi Denise, not sure if you will see this, I appreciate your response. I just want to add that the teachers, clinical instructors, and staff, need to realize people are not only students but also paying customers. I feel Mercy lacks in customer service when it comes to students. This surprises me since having good customer service skills is an important aspect in nursing for patient satisfaction. I agree with a previous review that stated, " students are treated like burdens." I never once heard words of encouragement from the staff at Mercy. A lot of negative and unkind remarks. I also got more help from the students working in the skills lab than the nurses who worked in the lab. I feel the staff at Mercy needs to be educated on the importance of customer service skills. If there are multiple student complaints about an educator, take it seriously. When I was there, one of your clinical instructors actually got me to cry in front several students and hospital staff. I felt I had no one to report this to, worried staff would turn against me.Google User

Don't be discouraged by the 1 star posters. My daughter attended Mercy College and we couldn't be happier. The staff is great. The people that had trouble in school had several resources to help them do better. My daughter constantly scheduled tutoring sessions. Mercy prepares the student, but the student has to be prepared for the challenge of nursing school. Remember nurses have human lives they are taking care of. Does anyone want someone getting low grades to be their nurse? I don't. No school prepares their student for the NCLEX (test to become a registered nurse) better than Mercy. We were so happy with Mercy that our son is now attending Mercy this fall (BSN program). Great school!Dee M

My experience at Mercy was more like a nightmare. The students are treated like burdens, instead of the paying consumers they are. There is a huge lack of communication between instructors and lab staff, which leaves students unsure and ultimately unsuccessful. Educators are supposed to give students the tools they need to become successful, this is not what I received during my time at Mercy. You can study hard, ace exams, and practice in the lab everyday, however one poorly proctored lab check off can fail you for a whole semester, and if you try to appeal, it is just your word against theirs. I do not recommend Mercy if you hope to graduate , and get that RN behind your name.Miss Me

If I could give this school ZERO stars I would!!! When inquiring about the program, they will call you continuously, until you step foot on their grounds. Once you become a student, they will act like you are an issue, harass you about payments, override/cover up your complaints or issues that you report to the “higher-ups”. Which by the way they are “ALL FRIENDS” outside of RMA. No sense of professionalism, and not organized. When students voice their problems or concerns, faculty will send out retaliation emails to the students. Any changes that occur, you will not receive clear or proper notice in a timely manner. Your completely on their time. During the RN Program, I was asked to do a Kaplan Entrance Exam, ATI during the program, and HESI Exit Exam to “Exit” the program. Students will be successful in the entire program, but when it is time to exit the program, there isn’t any proper preparation/remediation for the HESI. It’s definitely not a Nclex Prep Class at all! Matters that do not have anything to do with HESI, will be discussed in this class. Do not go to this school! Please reconsider!Ruby Williams

Tomorrow should have been out last day of class ..should have received our certificates..this place couldn't even get us through clinicals and kept our tuition…they picked the wrong person to steal from…it's not over by a long shot..not one person graduated…no money was refunded…it's going to be a hard road..but we do what we have to do….I'm so sorry for all the young people who got taken by this place ..don't give up yet!!!!!!! ……….today is aug30..and I'd like to let you all know that I obtained an attorney …..received every last penny back from Richards academy ..as I said I would..why hasn't any one posted that all of Richards medical academy caregivers and cna's had to go to blessed homes this month Sept 2022 because he was shut down..don't know for what or how long ..but they all had to go to maumee blessed homeTerri austin

These reviews are fake and must be friends of Richard! This school is horrible! They discriminate against American students vs African students. The african students are allows to miss weeks of class and skip payments while the others are stalked by Pauleen she will tell the whole school your business, Jean is a lier, don't trust Joseph and Richard is definitely not there for the students I tried to report them to the board of Education with loads of proof. They're all friends and all connected, so I'll be hiring a attorney from Michigan, because this school is illegal and discrimination amongst other things I reported to the board is against our civil rights, HIPAA violation I can go on.
