I am an alumni. B.S. Chemical Engineering 2008, M.S. Biomedical Engineering 2012. I chose CSU as my undergrad school over Case Western because Case is ridiculously expensive and I received a full scholarship to CSU. My mother told me I could choose whatever school I wanted but if I passed the scholarship up for 40k+ a year in debt she would kill me. Thanks mom, you were right as always! The Chemical and Biomedical Engineering departments are outstanding. Great faculty, small class sizes, professors that legitimately care about the students but also won't put up with BS from students that aren't taking their own (or their classmates') education seriously. The head of the BME department at the time had a major impact on my life. He personally took interest in helping me get a full scholarship during the second year of my M.S. (Choose Ohio First scholarship), helped me land a Teaching Assistant position AND a fantastic internship. THANK YOU! CSU is not perfect though. I had some bad professors (and also excellent ones) in the math and physics departments. That is hard to avoid at any school. Many of the school departments are much, much bigger than mine so you may lose some of the personal interest from professors when your graduating undergrad class is more than 12 like mine. I tried to make use of the career center multiple times but they were not helpful in job searching. Also the Fenn College of Engineering (now the Washkewicz College of Engineering) building is woefully old and dated. It's so bad that in my second year in 2006 a metal fence had to be put about 10 – 15 feet in front of the building facade so no one would be injured by the crumbling concrete. I wish I was joking. The engineering labs were also filled with old equipment, the classrooms were missing technology that is standard in other schools like projectors. Note that this was all before the very generous donation from Mr. Washkewicz so I hope things have improved. The only other complaint I have is that my graduation requirements changed a couple times during my B.S. and I had a VERY difficult time finding out if I was on track for graduation. In fact I wasn't sure that I was going to graduate until I got confirmation about a month before graduation! Even with these complaints I had a great experience at CSU, which is why I went back for my M.S. after briefly considering Ohio State University. It was my professors and department that made the decision easy, they had a great positive effect on my life and I owe a lot to them.Jim

I'm a business student currently in my third year at CSU (transferred from Kent State) and have nothing but good things to say about this school. The campus is beautiful and right in the center of Downtown, giving you easy access to tons of interesting things to do in Cleveland. The general vibe of the campus is very laid back and friendly, and despite what other reviews seem to say, this is a very liberal/progressive and diverse school with many students of all walks of life. I feel I have received a perfectly adequate education at CSU, as someone who cares mainly about getting ready for a career and moving into the business world. There are good professors and bad ones, but the majority of them have been very likeable and knowledgeable. Many of my business professors have lots of real world experience and many years working in their field. I cannot comment on the other departments, but the business school is excellent and has many career services available to students. As a commuter student I love the RTA pass they provide, so I don't have to worry about driving and parking downtown (yes, their parking situation is pretty terrible here). Finally I'd like to say shame on the idiots who are giving my school 1-star reviews because of a faux pas made by the administration. The first amendment comment was misinformed, but it's far from supporting the offensive poster. Anyone trying to paint CSU as anti-LGBTQ because of that poster debacle is ignorant.Steven Barnes

I love Cleveland State. I am a biology pre-med major and the department is great. However, if you live in the dorms, don't plan on getting your mail anytime soon. It takes at least 10 days added on to the normal mail time to receive any type of letter or package. I ended up just getting a P.O. box at a local post office. The education and clubs are great. There are so many great opportunities here to take advantage of. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants to live in the city and get a great education.Madison Chapanar

I love Columbus State and this is why: Before Columbus State: Growing up, I was never interested in the information taught in school, because I did not feel like it was applicable to the real world. After a year at a private college, I was originally apprehensive to restart college at any college. I was also scared of a community college. I grew up in Michigan, and I felt like our local community colleges had negative stigmas attached to them. Luckily, my older brother took me into the application office in Delaware, OH to take the entrance exam. I believe I tested out of an english and/or a math class. While at Columbus State: I would like to note that I always attended C-State as I held a part time job (10-20 hours a week). I originally attended an EMT-B class at Columbus State. The class was more challenging than I had anticipated and was pretty time consuming. I received a B in this course, but found employment immediately in the field and felt confident in my skills. A year later, I returned to C-State with the desires to go to nursing school. Thanks to ample meetings with advisors in Health and Human Services, I decided to take some prerequisite nursing classes as there was a waiting list to apply for their nursing program (while I worked part time as an EMT-B). During this year, I found more confidence in my work and studies, feelings of support and encouragement from staff, and rewards from hard work. I was also able to sign up easily for academic accommodations for the first time in my life! I loved my time at Columbus State within this year! I never thought I would love school or receive my first 4.0 GPA in the spring and summer semesters. For the first time, school finally felt fulfilling for me. After Attending Columbus State: I decided to leave C-State after a full academic year, and I pursued a BSN degree through another local school. I often look back at my time at C-State and regret that I did not take more classes here while saving a decent amount of money! I would suggest night classes if you are willing and able. I found that students were more likely to be hard working, more mature, disciplined, and also employed. I also found professors who taught night classes were often from OSU and more understanding. Generally my teachers were all very competent, funny, and held experience in the world. The only negative experience that I found was dealing with C-Stat's Police department staff and accessing their gym/locker room. Students must sign up manually for the gym locker rooms every semester at C-State's Police department and then wait for several days for your card to be accepted from security/police. This system seems dated and non-productive. I feel like this process should be easily automated. This issue led to a negative experience I had with a police officer that identified as Sergeant Diamond. I felt like this officer escalated my personal situation while being disrespectful and patronizing. Another time I was eating a meal in my car between classes when a police car pulled up to me and asked why I was parked between two spots in an empty parking lot and then asked me to pick a spot. I'm sure the police department deals with things they don't want to. I could have been lucky and experienced two poor attitudes on hard days, but I do not feel like the police department is fulfilling their mission that states they want to provide "exceptional customer service" for their students based on my only two experiences with them. I would take a look at how the police staff is trained at C-State.Connor Hill

I have enjoyed Columbus State and majority of the people I’ve met here while on track to my BA but this college needs some serious restructuring. The biggest thing I wish Cstate would look into is their faculty. When I go to ratemyprofessor.com and see many of them at a 1 to 2 star rating, that concerns me. I have personally had good and bad professors here and majority of the good ones were adjunct professors, the bad ended up being tenured faculty. I wish the college would look into the gripes students have and start to question whether or not they should be hiring adjunct professors to replace them. The only other major issue I’ve had is from advisors. The point of the advisor is to advise the student on their education path, but when I have a genuine question or concern, interrupting/having a snarky attitude doesn’t come off as professional to me. One last thing, please talk with the finance department about putting a budget together for another parking garage. I don’t go during peak hours anymore but when I did parking was atrocious. It will be 6 weeks this semester (Spring 2019) before CSCC releases financial aid refunds. I cannot believe they get away with this! OSU is 9 days after the start of the semester! Some people rely on these excess funds to survive another semester of school! This should be illegal and I’m pretty sure it is because according to federal financial aid funds are to be released up to a max of 14 days after the start of a semester! Insane to make people wait 6 weeks+ to receive their refund. Also, parking is obnoxious here any time of day. It also seems to me that each department does not have a good linear structure of teaching so each professor is just kind of doing their own thing whichever way they feel like doing it. Some classes are too long some are too short. It really feels like no one is in control here it’s just a free for all I guess. Employees are not friendly in any way shape or form. Honestly the only good thing about this school is how cheap it is. “You get what you pay for.” 🤷‍♂️614 Realness

My daughter is a student, she and other students in her major, Grahpic Design, are having problems. The issue is that the registrar/academic services messed up the audit sheets the students receive when they enroll into their courses for their major. The ProPractice course is actually offered both Fall and Spring semester but because the sheet doesn’t say that, and only says it’s offered in the Spring, all the juniors that are required to take the course sign up in the Spring. This causes more students than there are seats. All because the registrar/academic services made a mistake on the papers. They have classes in a variety of subjects and plenty of equipment. The vending machine food is better than average and they sometimes show movies. You don't have to be enrolled as a full or part time student to take classes. There are some classes available for high school students.Naima Omar

My teen had an appointment under DR Saba Memon. She practices cookie cutter medicine. I feel like she is following a checklist. She told me what my child is diagnosed with, and she will only start treatment if I jump through hoops, and make more appointments. I left feeling like she does not care at all about my child. I came for help and she refused. She discounts what the parents say and think. She is very dismissive and the other doctors disagreed with her. She did not take what they said into consideration. UT health should do something about her. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she inferred that she has no boss and her word is final. She told me he has ADHD, and I can provide documentation from his PCP and his therapist. I would like to know how to file a formal complaint. This level of care is unacceptable. I was seen at the neurology clinic at the University of Texas Health Science Center when I was considered a candidate for neurosurgery. I had to have a few tests performed before the neuro-surgery to make sure I fit all the criteria and that the brain surgery wouldn't have a catastrophic effect on me. All the neurologists I worked with were excellent, supportive, thorough with the exams and explanations, and very nice to me and my family. I Would highly recommend to others, especially when it comes to epilepsy treatment.S-man Colly

Staffs are useless. I do not want to pay a penny to them. They just blame students for every jobs they are mandated to do. They do not work if you do not check. Do not believe them but keep chasing it. All administrative works need to be done by yourself. Do not ask them because they do not know. Rather, ask other students. I enrolled in the Adult Cosmetology two year program here and from the start my experience was mediocre. During my time there I had teachers come and go, I had 3 teachers through out the program. The first 'instructor' for the first year was more interested in being your friend then a teacher. Talked poorly about other students when they were not around and was more interested in getting her own hair colored the majority of the time instead of teaching. She favorited students and had a lack of caring. Our second instructor was there for a couple months and I had sadly learned more from her in those few months then I had with my first instructor. Our third instructor was the best by far, if only we had had her from the beginning. Now the school itself is shady. A few students and myself were prepared to graduate in July until the head of the Adult Education program came to us and said we had to be done with the program by June, 4 weeks prior. If we did not finish that was on us. I would not recommend this school to ANYONE. Find a better school that will provide you with the best education possible and is worth your money.Marissa Walczak

I was in the cosmetology program graduate in 2019 and I’ve been recommending Polaris to everyone! Best schooling I’ve ever done. my instructor ms.hasan was the best teacher I’ve ever had,she really cared about her students and making sure everyone got everything and made sure you brought the best out of you. She a very caring and loving person and I would not be the stylist/person I am if it wasn’t for her. Every program here is amazing and sets you up for success. I was pursing my Bachelors Degree but had to leave college due to unforeseen financial difficulties. I was looking for a job in the IT field but no one wants to hire you unless you have years of experience. I had heard about the Per Scholars program and decided it would be a great option in getting the experience I needed in order to obtain a job that would pay enough for me to go back to college. I attended the orientation which was very informative. Passed both reading and math TABE exams, filled out all the forms, submitted all the necessary documents, and took both assessments for their engineering programs. I have yet to hear back from the program on whether or not I passed the last assessments. Its been over 2 weeks! I've emailed, called, left messages and haven't heard back from anyone. Classes start next month, and I'm stuck! I've turned down numerous jobs thinking this program would be great for me. I appreciate programs like Per Scholas trying to uplift communities, especially minority communities, but this really is a shame.deKKo 213

I am A+ certified and working on my Network+. I am an alumni from Perscholas. The admissions director does a fantastic job at recruiting people who are determined and hard working individuals. My classmates were very helpful and diverse. I recommend this program to anyone who has a passion for IT and wants a great career. The course is 15 weeks. Not only do you get hands on IT training, but you also get business development. You have a separate instructor who helps build you resume and confidence to get you interview ready. So, I am giving it 5 stars for the performance, not the overall vibe. The actors, and shows, are tremendous and very entertaining. But, why is it necessary to serve alcohol at a youth theater show? Is that really the example we want to send to our kids? Seems a little ridiculous, and kind of disappointing. Also, can we not go an hour without looking at our phones? That's what intermission is for. It's distracting, and more than a handful of people around us whipped out their phones during the performance. The kids work so hard, the least we can do it give them are full attention. Very rude and quite selfish. These were middle age adults that should know better, not kids, by the way. With all that said, The Beck Center rules and is a treasure to the area. My daughter and I have seen probably a dozen shows over the years and enjoyed every one. Highly recommended, and please support our local arts, on every level, so places like this will continue to thrive.M L

Super Saturday was an awesome way to spend the morning! We brought our six-month-old baby to be around other kids and it was packed!! Lots of dancing, instruments to see and hear, art making, and even instruments to play. I cannot wait to go back as she gets older. We went to see Shrek the musical at the Beck Center. Very nice place. About the size of a large movie theater. The show was good, the seats were comfortable. We had a good experience. My only complaint is that there aren't any hand rails on the wall. I have a son with a disability and getting up and down the steps without have rails was difficultMike Jackson

I had a total hip replacement surgery this past June. It pains me to read the bad reviews about C.C. as the doctors there literally " gave me my life back". I am very healthy otherwise but had very advanced osteoarthritis in my right hip. I was not able to walk without a cane and was in 24/7 pain for over a year. Dr. Nicholas Piuzzi in the orthopedic department was amazing as well as his staff. I was discharged 25 hours after surgery. I live in Erie, and the hospital set up my home OT & PT. My recovery has been much quicker than most over 65 and I attribute most of it to the surgical procedure. (minimally invasive robotic assisted) and the high skill of the doctor. I don't know about any other departments, but I was impressed with the skill and compassion and attention of all the departments. Did I come across someone having a bad day, sure, but I don't feel that's a fair assessment of the overall facility and staff . You are also sent multiple surveys to report rude or dismissive people. Overall I highly recommend Cleveland Clinic. My husband has an appointment in another department soon and I expect we will receive the same exceptional quality of care I received. My whole family in Erie goes to the Cleveland Clinic.Louise Zimmer

This is one the best medical facilities in the world. My parents loved the Clinic and I have doctored there for about 60 years. My wife is currently doctoring there. You are treated well by everyone there. If an employee perceives that you may be lost in this huge institution an employee including the doctors themselves will direct you or guide you to your destination with a smile. They have their own sworn police department so you feel safe anytime you visit their campus. Lots of gorgeous outdoor spaces and huge hallways inside so it feels like a mall with shops, restaurants and other facilities. Very efficient scheduling. In one 7 hour day my wife had three diagnostic tests and saw four doctors. Check out the menu if you are a patient. Not your ordinary hospital food. Absolutely the worst. Zero problems with Dr. Mangie but as soon as I was switched to Dr. Ku, nothing but problems. Jen from surgery scheduling is incredibly rude. She will constantly reschedule your appointments without confirmation because there are more important patients. She acts condescending when you can't drop your job to make it to the same day appointment she set up after the hospital forgot yet another test needed for surgery. My mouth is pouring blood every day & I've repeatedly been told that there's nothing they can do but apparently wait months for treatment. Completely incompetent staff. Very clear all the money goes only into making the building look nice.Ashes Nicole

I give the Air Show 5 stars+. It was fantastic. The logistics by the organizers are negative 5 stars. Parking is a disaster. Getting in was terrible as you only have the marginal road to get in at Gate 13. On top of that it was credit card only. That was fine until their machines no longer worked and it changed to cash. Problem was not everyone had that much cash and the line got longer. They should have had all parking prepaid online or at least walked up and down the Marginal Road and collected the fee. Leaving was worse. No gates were open and no one was directing traffic. It took 1.5 hours to get out of the field to the marginal road. Burke Airport is run by the county and the Sheriff's department was no help in directing traffic. Once on city streets, the Cleveland police took over and did and excellent job. The show was fantastic and we have some excellent pictures. If we go again, park and walk well away from the airport not dealing with that nightmare. We will sit on the hillside or at a bar on Ohio City and watch.Bruce Valentino

Hands down the most unorganized event with the poorest communication and traffic planning my family and I have ever seen. I would give 0 stars if I could. They closed access to the event hours before the 3pm communicated deadline. Even for handicapped parking there were no available options. Families with small children were walking on the side of the road several blocks away if not more trying to reach the access gate before it closed but we saw those that did reach the gate were turned away (the second time looping around, we made it to the road where the gates were but it was a stand still and no one was allowed in). While we were waiting in standstill traffic on the road outside the event, a security guard let his buddy in front of us in by coming around in a golf cart and leading him out of line, around, and into the gate. With the no refund policy. This is unacceptable. We traveled over 3 hours for my dad to see his bucket list item of watching the Blue Angels fly. I will tell absolutely everyone to avoid this event.Lauren Hogan

I 💙💙💙💙 my BLUE ANGELS 💙💙💙 I got my tickets I was so excited about going however it rained on Sunday and Monday so I didn’t get to see no show at all. I am so disappointed 😢 every year the blue angels come I don’t have the the $ and the one year I had the $ I don’t get to see them. I get a kick out of seeing then go to their jets show how obedient they are. All I got out of this was a walk through looking at who had the longest line for food! 🤦🏽‍♀️ No matter what tickets you buy you get the same show in the same weather! And No refunds not cool! You're not going to get some sort of faux westernized spirituality here—but you will get really authentic yoga teachers that are human just like the rest of us. If you want a truly challenging class (it's Baptiste style) with genuinely kind teachers that will actually remember your name, this is the spot. The Studio Cleveland is a BEAUTIFUL space. The moment I walked in I felt a peace come over me. Each room is more beautiful than the next. I went to Studio Cleveland for a Master Reiki class and a first level IET Class, both taught by Mary Shannon Prada. Her knowledge is unending. Whenever I have a question, she is always there to guide me. She wasn't just my teacher for those training days, which is so rare these days. Her energy is full of love and support. I love this studio! I just started coming here and I really like all of the teachers. They are so kind! The Studio really has a community feel to it, by offering tea, books to read, and a couch to chill on, and in my opinion, that makes for a high quality studio. You have a very extremely excellent instructor. He is one of the only reasons I came there. Then there was other that was also very nice. He never was rude or anything. But then you have two that are total foul-mouthed, rude and totally ignorant towards people. One thinks he is God's gift to the world and is the best at it all and he truly isn't. Then you have another one that thinks going on break and talking about the class that he is instructing and saying that if he was in a gun fight, he would shoot us all and use us as sandbags. Very very unprofessional and should not be able to be working there anymore. Then this instructor would make people feel horrible because of having a bad shot and not shooting inside the silhouette. He then would write to even embarrass the person even more Lawsuit in big letters and circling the shot that was not where it needed to be. Both of these instructors made other females in class feel very uncomfortable. In another class from another time, there was no teaching at all. It was because it was a call full of paragon workers and then they just gave the test as soon as you walked in the classroom. Then sat and talked and other stuff not even dealing with the class or even security. They all just sat and cussed for the first 2 hours of the class and talk politics. Then the one instructor was part of the class and he was not the instructor for the day because he was requalifying for his certification also. But when on the range, he was trying to be an instructor also. I have been questioned each time when going into class as to why I am shooting what I shoot. I have to explain it is the most comfortable gun for me just like the gun that they shoot with is the most comfortable for them. I should not be questioned. Just because I am a wheel gun girl doesn't mean I can't shoot it. I am a wheel gun girl for a reason and it has to do with my health. I shouldn't have to explain that each time. The owner is a great guy. He has worked with me when I was away after paying for my class due to taking care of my father that was passing away with cancer. I'm glad I decided to go here instead of taking a chance with some of the others out there, this group is thorough and won't just send you on your way if you pay. You are working with a great team that will prepare you for how to safely use a firearm and the laws pertaining to gun ownership. Bruce is a great instructor, along with Ashley, Doug and Matt. They definitely take what they do seriously yet at the same time they are all very kind and will go out of their way to make sure you are doing everything properly ( following through on trigger pull, stance, focusing on front sight). The CCW class here is first rate. Bob the instructor was very engaging and kept your interest the whole 8 hours. He managed to take a very serious topic and make it fun to learn. And despite the serious nature of class, he has a great sense of humor. The shooting portion was very interactive and also first rate. Kayla, Bruce, and Ashley were phenomenal. They were all very patient and provided phenomenal instruction. The shooting simulator was amazing. If you want to take a CCW class, I highly recommend this one. Easy to book online. Pre-class videos were very helpful in preparing for the class. Had some trouble finding parking before class, there is free parking on street & small parking lot but it was all full, so I was late. The Professor was friendly, professional and helpful being my first time getting certified. Definitely recommend for anyone working in a gym, studio or personal training setting.Becky Thayer

I want to say I HATE CrossFit Cleveland – mostly owner Staci. I hate that she FORCED me to exercise and completely change my eating habits that has, quite literally, forever transformed my body, mind, and spirit!! CrossFit Cleveland has saved my life!!! I am 58, overweight and have heart disease. I joined their Executive program almost 2!!! years ago. I could not do a sit-up, a step-up, or really much of anything. Staci, through her Nutritional Mentor program, and Bill through his tremendous coaching skills, grabbed me – kicking and screaming – and guided (pulled) me through my transformation. I was not (am not) easy and Staci and I have had many crying sessions along the way, however, with her 1:1 coaching, texts, "motherly" nudging, recipe exchanges, food tours, cooking demonstrations… I find myself looking forward (most of the time) to my classes AND meal prep is now just part of my life routine. If I can do this… ANYONE CAN!!! I have lost weight and inches, my legs look great and I genuinely feel good for the first time in my life. So… I don't hate CrossFit Cleveland, I LOVE them and I love every member of that gym as we are all down to earth, welcoming people who come together to encourage each other. I have been going to CrossFit Cleveland since June of 2021 I walked in at 241 pounds heaviest I’ve ever been, So I entered the gym world in fear of how everyone would see me, or judge me. The first few minutes of meeting Staci and Bill that fear quickly went away they opened the door with welcoming arms!! They have pushed me along with the coaches and all the members on a daily!! . Some people think the gym isn’t for them just because they have that fear of judgment? well I assure you CrossFit Cleveland and everyone that attends CrossFit Cleveland are there with a helping hand and nothing but good and positive advice. I've been a student at Viva for nearly three years and I can't recommend it enough to anyone interested in learning partner dancing. The studio is fun and sophisticated, with plenty of mirrors and floor space for lessons and parties. The friendly and qualified instructors bring their own special talents and styles, presenting them in a digestible manner for students of all levels. Getting to know the staff and students at Viva has been such a pleasure…not only am I improving my dance skills and having fun, the social aspect of making new friends and sharing in a common interest has been so rewarding. The opportunities to get involved are also diverse…I've participated in performance teams, group lessons, private lessons and parties for latin social dances. We enrolled at Viva Dance Studio in preparation for our wedding first dance. We are not natural dancers but Parker helped us find our groove. We have enjoyed every opportunity to be back at the studio until the completion of our first dance. Not only did he put together an awesome choreography for such a special dance, he also had lots of helpful pointers to share that we never even thought about. We enjoyed working with Parker and we enjoyed every single lesson. We came to love dancing even if we were not dancers and we enjoyed performing our first dance on our wedding. Parker is surely very talented and very inviting which made working with him a lot like fun than stressful. We highly recommend Viva Dance Studio and Parker. When I arrived into the parking lot the appearance is that it needs work done. There's bricks crumbling by the steps, There's a koi pond by the entrance that smells like sewage. Upon entrance There's a grocery store that smells lime dead fish. Back by the elevator floors are dirty elevator is dirty , do i had to go to the 3 d floor when I got off the floors are gifts there too. As I approached viva la dance There's a restaurant There's so it smells like food and might I add they have kitchen supplies sitting a grew feet from viva la dance so it make it look trashy. Viva inside was nice but the could provide more tables. They do have a kitchen but no stove. Kerry was very very helpful and always carried a smile, just a all around happy guy and [cute].Kwuan Hill

We bought the distraction training package for our dog, Potato, which is 4 day classes, one home visit, and 2 years of group classes and individual training follow-ups, as needed. Initially, it sounds expensive, but for what you're getting (especially over 2 years), it's well worth the initial cost. Our dog has come a long way over the last couple months and we are very happy with the results so far. She has more work to do, but thinking back to the days before training and comparing it to today, she has made so many positive changes in that short amount of time and gets better and better every day. This includes how she walks on a leash, her interactions and reactions to other dogs, people, and wildlife (critters are still a work in progress!), and how she responds to our commands overall. It's pretty amazing! The biggest thing to take into consideration when deciding if training is the right thing for you and your dog is whether or not YOU can put in the time and effort to continue your dog's training after you leave the facility. As owners, it's just as important for us to learn and reinforce what our dogs have been trained to do. Coleen and staff have been great partners in our training and Jeni the groomer is a sweetheart. If you have a dog with behavioral issues and you're willing to put in the work outside of training class, then Sit Means Sit is an excellent way to go! We are very happy customers!Mark L.

I had a fantastic experience 2 years ago and was all geared up for a repeat. The cost was the same as my initial board and train, but for only 4 day classes. Ok. I tried it. While my dog has improved, it just wasn't near the quality I expected. Underwhelming to be honest. Also, when I returned for my follow up class, the instructor had NEVER met or worked with my dog and had no plan for the class. I left after 5 minutes. For 2k….I don't expect to tell you what to do with my dog. I was unfortunately disappointed this time around.lindsay gomesz

I was very skeptical when I found out they use the collar to train but they educated us on it and it turns out, it’s not harmful at all and actually a very effective way to communicate with the dog! Moe was trained by Josh and I can’t recommend Josh more! He took very good care of Moe and they were both very excited to see each other every week. Moe has improved greatly (be prepared as an owner to put in the work too!) and I would recommend Sit means Sit in a heartbeat. You definitely get what you pay for!Jared Wolfert

I drive past this location to go to the sauna that’s in downtown Cleveland. The sauna doesn’t operate more than half of the time, they have ridiculous rules that you have to rinse before going into the sauna that 1. Doesn’t work. As you walk to go to the sauna in ful gym attire because you want to relax your muscles and i don’t know. Pay money to go there every month. The lifeguard will (at a full run) stop you from going into the sauna. Honestly it’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.Sarah

If you are joining this Lakewood location of the YMCA to use of the pool, sauna, or hot tub as a differentiator against other options, I would pass on this location. These areas are closed at least once every 4-6 weeks for several days at a time due to mechanical failures that are never permanently corrected. It is a cheap gym option, but you get what you pay for at that price it seems.Neil Schroeder

I love how nice and helpful all the staff members are. It is so nice to walk in and be greeted with a smile. The facility is always clean. The fitness instructors, lifeguards and trainers always seem to love what they do. The pathway child watch caregivers are very sweet and great with are kids. I had Stanley come out to clean my kitchen carpet and it was so poorly done I called and had them come out the following week to try and do a better job. They came out Oct 2 at 0900 and these pictures are from 6 hrs after the cleaning. Had a manager come out at 10:00 and said he would redo the carpet again but I thought it would make it even lighter. He said it probably would. So he said an assistant manager will b calling me. 15 mins later Curtis came out the assistant manager and basically said I probably did this damage because they don’t use chemicals strong enough to change the colors. Even though the 1st guy said it would probably change the color to lighter. Go figure. I’m suing for a new carpet. They should stand behind their screw ups and not blame others. Service today was the second time that the company was here in a three day period. The first team had done such a poor job that I had to make a complaint. The manager that I spoke with was very polite and understanding and eager to help get the job done correctly. There was no back and forth, no request for additional payment and no attitude. When you call this office, prepare yourself for the most unprofessional receptionist. She talks over you, and hangs up without even attempting to reach the person I asked for. Before I can finish the reason for my call she blurted out "we have that information" and hung up. Then when I tried to call again, she kept forwarding me to the company voicemail. I would have left a message if I didn't think she would get it and delete it. In my frustration I called like half a dozen times before she placed my number to a message that no one is here to receive your call and it hangs up. She knew she was unprofessional in the manner in which she handled the call. She then ignorantly assumed I would act like her if she answered and that's why she wouldn't take my call. I wanted my experience to be public so the company is aware of how she is handling incoming calls. How is it she can act this way, is this a reflection of the leadership here? If she doesn't like forwarding calls , maybe she shouldn't be the one answering them. This is definitely not the first time, she was too comfortable in her behavior for this to be a one time experience.Gabriel Zambrano
