I do not recommend this school to anyone. There was a lot of grade school style homework and a broad spectrum of effort put in by my professors. Most of my homework was distributed digitally by the respective text book's website — NOT the professor. This created a huge disconnect when discussing homework issues in class. It was frustrating knowing my professors were not curating our homework, rather, it was being outsourced by a subsidized textbook. Their job is to educate, but remember they are there to make a profit. I could not afford my bill so they sold my debt to a collection agency.J s

My first college experience was here and it wasn't a particularly good one. The building is nice with a very comfortable atmosphere, though the parking lot is a nightmare. There is not WiFi through the entire building, which is infuriating for a student with an on campus class that is also entirely on the internet. Great school. but I think if we're paying $300.00 for a book and paying $8.00 on top of that for shipping a signature should be required from UPS and some type of insurance on it. I work here as staff and find the working environment pretty good. My bosses have been good, my coworkers are dependable, and the students seem well behaved and conscientious (most of the time). The new buildings are nice, and the harbor walk is kind of amazing, and the beach is very chill. Good luck finding a place as tranquil anywhere else near the city. There is however one small con and one big con.. the small con is that there aren't that many places to eat and Sodexo runs all the food on campus, and their attempts at ethnic foods are sad. And the aforementioned big con is that there is no less than 3 buildings being built on this tight peninsula right now, and one huge building that was taken down over the year I've been here.. the construction is a mess. Though the new, finished buildings, like the science complex, are great. But if you can take the T somehow, as I do, this place is fantastic.Mikhail M. Nitko

UMASS Boston has a Beautiful campus on the waterfront! It is building two Brand new buildings as student housing with a dinning hall on the first floor, overlooking the Boston harbor with a million dollar view. UMASS Boston has a collaborative research program with Dana Farber Cancer Institute that students can be a part of. I love the new Integrated science center, incubating many New exciting NIH sponsored science research studies. I am a student here at UMB, the professors are great. The administration is bureaucratic and inefficient and lacks transparency on any basic level. Parking here is dependent upon arrival time. If you get here at 10:20 good luck finding a space in bayside, probably will have to park at the globe. Clinical placement sites for Nursing are good, labs are good, the school is constantly under construction and areas are always being blocked off. Parking will soon cost between 9-15 dollars a day according to emails from the uni. So it’s alright but the university is slowly draining the life of its commuters.Bill Whitney

Went on a visit with my grandson with a preconceived perception of an intercity campus as I know them from intercity campuses in the NJ vicinity. I was pleasantly surprised by Wentworth with both the campus and it's facilities. Not some some armed containment area to keep students on campus, but rather free and open both in and around it. Note that Wentworth isn't some White enclave in the middle of crime, destuction, and filth, but rather a charming, not overwhelming campus, in a large city environment geared to provide a superior education to all who choose to attend. FYI, Boston has a population of some 250,000 college students so attention concerned parents, if little Madison or Josh can't get a date there's hope for them in Beantown!Fred Pucylowski

I was blown away by this school. I had low expectations being it is a very small school with a very high acceptance rate. I had never heard of the school and my daughter put it on her list as a "safety school." After attending the open house I hope it rises to one of her top choices. The campus is very quaint and comfortable. Felt very safe. It is surrounded by 5 other colleges. Very short walk to any class. It is an excellent school. I was accepted to Northeastern University, to the University of Massachusetts and many other good colleges. It boiled down to the school’s teaching setup. The school offered smaller class sizes and more one on one instruction. And then it was finalized by asking a few headhunters that if I had four identical resumes which school would stand out and it was Wentworth. Case closed.Jeremy Gold

I went for the Five Week Summer Program! Let me tell ya now, it’s a college to remember. Amazing people and outstanding classes. You may never want to leave (I cried everytime I had to leave for the past three years lol). On a serious note, not once did I ever question my color there. Roxbury Community College is a top community college in Boston with accessible instructors who are devoted to their students learning and mastery of the subjects. It is more important to learn the foundations than be pressured and focusing on competition for grades at some notable colleges in the area. I am also interested in furthering my writing career for children and young adults by the Children's Literature course. And courses on Images of African Americans in the media. I am applying to an MFA program in creative writing at Spaulding University and need letters of recommendation. I hope to get a tv show on Nickelodeon. This will help. I might take Linux computer programming or Java II. I plan to enroll in Biology I Biology II at BHCC. There is an Energy class. If I have time I will take this on Saturday mornings. I also plan to take Organic Chemistry and apply to medical school using computerized anatomy coursework. I am considering taking Arabic language classes here. I am also going to read the book on legal document preparation. I do not have time to take everything, so I can read the book and keep improving being self taught is important. Absolutely not. I know rocks that can gain more intelligence in a lifetime compared to the amount of anything you'll gain here. They don't even offer flexible tutoring hours for students employed by the school. What? are you kidding? Say its a conflict of interest. A conflict of who's interest? Cause its truly conflicting the interest to learn when you cant make a buck and get help with academics at the same time. Highly unprofessional staff, hand to God I thought they were common transients you pass by in hallways and streets. Also the graduation rate there is half past depressing and that alone is a reflection of the interests the professors have in teaching a community anything college related. Please be aware of this college. Worst college in USA. Took money out from Income Tax return without even attending any class. Please be very aware before you visit this college or sign any papers.My wife went there to check about the courses they provide and see the college. She never went to that college again and never did any class. After couple of months we received a bill that we owe money. Called the college and the front desk said that you have to talk with the billing department. They told us that you have to come to the college and sign the paper. My wife told that her foot is broken and she have 4 kids so that is why she cannot come. She Also told them that she will send doctor and hospital note that she cannot drive.They hung up the phone on her. She sent so many email and calls but no reply. Spoke with billing department that I really need that money for my kids. They guy I spoke said that i can not return the money. Went here during 2013-2014 for my associates in marketing, its an alright college. Tho my only bad points I remember from this is the intern job finder guy was really rude and I had other people who told me they had him too and he was rude to them as well. another bad point was one of the class counselors who made me take an unnecessary course and told me if i didn't take it i wouldn't get my degree only to find out that they lied and i didn't need to take that course (no refunds of course). Last bad point I remember was one of the job counselors who said they would help me find a job pretty much ghosted me after our first meeting. They gave such a wonderful speech about how I was going to get a lot of help finding a job and that i wouldn't be disappointed. well disappointment city here i came first class. total ghosted and never heard from after the second week of trying to talk to them. gave up trying to finding a job threw here. otherwise its an alright place but seriously have enough parking places that people taking classes here and no teacher saved parking spots for teachers who arent even there and we can see are sitting empty for most if not the entire day. Edit to respond to the owner: Sorry but I will not be using your "job finding services". After the first guy Matt Coulter if i remember his name right, was really rude and pretty much did absolutely NOTHING to help me when I had a problem with my internship. Then the job helper person I got to help me find a full time job litterly GHOSTED me, IE: never returning any phone calls, emails and was never there even tho I told they were there on the days they would be in, on 3 separate occasions I wasted my time trying to meet someone who just happened to "not" be there. This place was the worst college to go to. The counselors don't really help you. They just sign you up for any course they can just so they can quickly boot you out the door not caring to help you find classes for your major or even find a major at all. For the Danvers campus in particular, it's a very snobby, predominately white(and prejudice), unfriendly atmosphere. A lot of them also flow over to the Lynn campus so they bring their snobby attitudes there. The students are worse than the instructors though the instructors can be pretty stuck up themselves. That's just the type of community Danvers is. You will find most of the people who have the edge at this school AND of course speak highly of it are the predominantly white population. I took a Bio 101 class once, and the instructor said in front of the class that blacks usually don't do well because they come from a poor background and lack proper education. It really is not a good place to get your education. Also, a lot of classes they have wont transfer to another college such as their Bio 101 course. You may not know that, but be sure the classes you take are transferable. Be sure to follow up on Rate My Professors website to know if you have a good instructor or not otherwise it's a hit or miss on having a great successful academic year or not. The staff can be very unfriendly on the phone or in person when you go to any of their offices. When you attend this school, you better have direction on what you want to do because No one there is really going to help you unless you have a really good instructor. I transferred out to a better community college and it was one of the best choices I've ever made.Maximum Achievement

I have done four semesters at NSCC in the Criminal Justice program over the past two years. North Shore was a decent place for me to start my college education, as I feel like going to a full-fedged State University for four years is a massive scam and waste of money. Professor Koshivas and D'Agastino were great and I learned a great deal in their classes. The Danvers campus is very clean and modern and much nicer than the Lynn campus, which gave me the feeling of being in a dirty train tunnel. My issues with the school pertain to its administration. I had multiple issues when enrolling for classes during each semester. It seemed like no matter what some piece of paperwork would be lost. Once they even lost proof of one of my scholarships, luckily I had copies. When it came time to cut the check for the semester there would always be an issue with the amount. Sometimes we overpaid, sometimes we underpaid, it was as though they never got the final amount right on the first try. It was frusturating to deal with. Another issue I had was with the WiFi in the school. I would be in the library during the period between classes on my laptop trying to get work done, only to find the connection suddenly stopped and I could no longer connect to the internet. Some days were worse than others with this, it was very unpredictable as to when it would work and when it would not. I won't end up graduating from North Shore as of right now as I'm going the military route instead. However, there are some very good professors at this school, just be prepared to deal with a mediocre administrative department if you decide that North Shore is for you.Millard Fillmore

Most of the bad reviews are coming from people who had ONE bad experience at like the book store or whatever or i gEt tHiEr aDs oN hUlu, though the veteran who shared his story probably has a decent case to make. Anyway I got a business degree from this college and if you actually try you can do really really well here, with great professors and programs like the honors program which gives high level learning at bottom dollar, and wonderful faculty like the folks at PTK, disability services, or the Fuller Center. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to work on regarding graduation rates, the food, no one card system, etc but I couldn't give this place anything less than 5 stars because of all of the wonderful people who give 110% here, especially in those departments I mentioned. If you live in Worcester don't spend 30k a year to go to Assumption, you'll save so much money to come here. Seek opportunity, study for your tests, respect your professors and faculty, and most importantly, do your damn homework; I guarantee you'll be a success at this place if you do all of these things.Clark Kent

The qcc "police" are some of the most unqualified and unempathetic people in the area. There is no doubt they have no training, no expertise in law and zero idea of what they are doing. Harvard is one of the most prestigious universities in the World and every one wishes to visit it once in a life time. I had this chance to go there and walk around this beautiful institute. The good thing is that it is open for all and everyone could go around and visit. I saw many tourists there enjoying walking and taking photos. I have to be honest about this. Good college when it comes to campus design, some Professor's teaching skills, and assistance for school related issues. Although, the school teaches bad ethics. For example, sports lack discipline. They will teach there athletes to run score boards up. Up by 20 in a basketball game with 3mins to go, they will shoot more three point shots than Steve Kerr. The most alarming thing is faculty will participate in Hazing students. I've watch this with my own two eyes. Call them out on it, and they will just deny it, at least my professor did. I am currently a student there, who help form a club, in order to help students get there basic needs to become a successful student. So just remember, good campus design, some Professors have good teaching styles, good for resources, but terrible place to learn good ethics. To me learning good ethics and applying them is one of the most important, or the most important thing to learn as a student. Would not be the first school I would want to send my child to. I do recommend this college as an affordable and easy starting point but be ready to encounter many hurdles in your way and a lot of incompetent staff. Make sure to double check everything you do here, especially the financial aid part. I attended the reunion this weekend as a husband. It was an overall pleasurable experience. The campus itself is very nice and meticulously maintained. Bathroom facilities adequate but nothing extraordinary. The BBQ on Saturday afternoon was nice because it was on campus in a very nice area. Music a bit loud for mid afternoon. Food, not great. I really liked the coozie they gave out. The class party Saturday night for the 10 year peeps was fascinating. It was inside a recreation center which seemed like an odd choice given the plethora of really nice areas on campus. The food selection there I thought was good but many in the group strongly disagreed with that sentiment. The tortellini was on point even tho it seemed to light a bit of a fire under my seat if you catch my drift. I was a little disappointed at all events that I had to pay 7$ for a bud light after already purchasing tickets. I will say we popped over to the 5 year reunion and wow, what a treat that event was. Overall it was a nice weekend, BC seemed to do my wife well as she is very smart. Her friends are also very cool. So I would recommend the college. We may send our kids there if my plan to hit the lottery multiple times comes to fruition. Mods for life.Joseph Moran

North Bennet Street School has now had more than five years to offer a peaceful truce to this dispute. They have chosen instead to sit silently or offer weak excuses. As a result, their unwillingness to resolve this issue has fostered hatred, rancor, and malice against me on the part of their "happy" and "successful" graduates and clientele. One has to look no further than the rebuttals to my reviews to see how this reviewer has been portrayed (by people who are ignorant of the facts of this dispute) as stupid, unreasonable, incapable, and possessing a host of other undesirable traits. As I continue my training and form relationships with colleagues and with skilled, award-winning and highly respected artisans and craftsmen in the field, they are impressed by my work ethic, enthusiasm, determination, ability and dedication to this craft. When I share with them my bitter experiences with NBSS, they are shocked and appalled that an institution with "such a good reputation" would behave in such a shameful manner. This "charitable", "philanthropic", tax-exempt, non-profit corporation, whose mandate is to benefit the community and stand out as a beacon for what is just and what is right, has failed miserably in this regard. Proof of one's character is in one's deeds. Their hurtful words and deeds will stand in perpetuity as a witness against them. NBSS's own actions will forever point an accusatory finger at its self. Quoting someone who has completed a similar course, he/she stated, "Any school worth anything will know that to achieve perfection in a jewelry piece is to work long hours after the teaching is over. The fact that they did not allow you to take the work home is ridiculous." I was not allowed to take the work home, not allowed to stay adequate after-hours to work in the studio, and not allowed to hire even a school-approved tutor (even at my own expense) to complete my projects. This commenter goes on to state, "One of the first lessons in jewelry school was that you will be painfully slow at first, and that speed will only increase with practice and repetition." This is a concept NBSS' instructors and administrators simply could not seem to grasp. I don't doubt that others have had wonderful experiences with NBSS. I too have read about the stellar successes of others after the completion of their courses there. I wrote this review to speak of MY experience. MY complete disillusionment and betrayal.A. From day one meeting Rob ( admissions) to tour the school( pre Covid) to now 4 months into my Carpentry program everyone has been absolutely incredible at helping me achieve my goals and get better at what I absolutely love doing – Carpentry and woodworking. I have never been part of such an amazing community where we are driven and connected by our passion to create things by hand and learn as much as possible from our amazing instructors who are a sea of knowledge and help each other. Yes standards are high but for anyone who's into their craft that's not an issue. You show up early, do your work, be responsible and respectful. NBSS is preparing you for the real world. I’ve been in the Locksmithing program since September 2020 and have had an awesome experience thus far. Rob Dwyer is very personable and was extremely helpful throughout my entire application process. Bob at the front desk and Kristen at the gift shop are super nice people and I look forward to coming in every morning and greeting them. The program head, Barbara Baker, is an amazing teacher and has taught me so much in so little time. She takes the training very seriously and not only expects you to put out the best work that you possibly can, but she will motivate you to do so. Through her instruction, I have gained a large amount of confidence in myself and my abilities both in and out of locksmithing. My time at the school has gone so well that I made the choice to apply for their carpentry program and continue growing my skillset here.Viet Phan

I came to minuteman as a junior, and I can assure you that this school is unbelievably easy. I have gotten straight A's in all my honors classes. Now, I am a senior and I am in two duel enrollment classes, which tend to cause an educational purpose to the school. The school provides no college support, causing the students to fend for themselves. If you are looking to proceed a job in a trade, This school will help you attain knowledge to help you start off that career. A ton of kids do drugs in and out of school, the discipline tends to lack tremendously. You will be bound to make friends easily, at least that is through my perception of the social aspect of the school.A horan

The SPED director, Amy Perreault, is completely incompetent. My son has an intellectual disability. He hugged a girl he liked who sat next to him class. They suspended him for 3 days. I asked them to change his classes, but they placed him next to the same girl again. Then, they wanted to suspend him for a week. He has an intellectual disability. He doesn't understand his feelings and what he is doing. The SPED director put him into a situation to fail and then punished him again. If you have a special needs child, be careful. The facility is very nice but the actual experience is awful. It feels more like a Boys and Girls club rather than a fitness center. The kids literally just stand around and take up space without actually working out. No one has any type of gym etiquette, weights are left everywhere, people dont always wipe things down after they use them. Personal space isnt really a thing there even when it can be unsafe. Im giving it two stars because if you come after 8pm most of the children have already gone home and thats when things kind of resemble a proper fitness center.Jason Xavier

I've had a wonderful experience at the Y but it is extremely upsetting that their child watch still isn't open in urban areas when it has reopened wealthy suburban areas. It doesn't feel equitable and dramatically impacts my ability to go to the Y. I even emailed with Marvin Morel, Membership Experience Manager, and he just ghosted on the subject when I pointed this out. But that aside, the facilities are wonderful, children's swim classes have been awesome and the guy in charge there is so nice, and my experience with Jen for personal training has been amazing.Rachel Peranzi

I used to belong here when I lived in Boston, but moved away a year ago and I’m just now returning for a weekend. I stopped back in the club and am reminded how awesome a fitness facility it is. All of the equipment is well taken care of, the facilities are clean and well designed, and the lighting and vibe are great! The locker rooms are always well stocked and clean too. I had access to Lynx by virtue of staying at the Park Plaza. To say I was pleasantly surprised by the gym is such an understatement. I will stay at the Park Plaza my next time in town just for access to the awesome gym!! I was so appreciative of the oly lifting equipment – and especially of women's barbells. It's rare to find that outside of a barbell club or CrossFit gym! The amount of options were just amazing. I rode the Peloton and lifted in the rig area. Honestly the best gym I have been at while traveling. Has everything plus more with respect to the actual equipment! Everything is super clean, and it is obvious you care a lot about making everything about the experience amazing. From the washrooms filled with all sorts of extras like if you forget hair elastics, to hairdryers, or feminine products. You clearly care about the whole experience. Honestly it’s hard to put into words how important this gym is to me. I moved to the USA in early 2018, knowing only 1 other person. We now have what I would consider to be a large family full of friends who honestly, give me a reason to wake up in the morning! Beyond the social benefits of this sanctuary, I train 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day and it’s partly because I love staying in shape but mostly because I can’t choose which of the trainers are my favorite… buuuuuut If I had to whittle it down, and it pains me to say because I love them all, I would give my highest recommendations to both Chris Nasty and Nano. These guys have invested time both on and off the clock into making sure that I’m always pushing the boundaries of my mental and physical fitness. There extremely personable and I’m honored to have the opportunity to call these guys friends. Thank you EBF for what’s been an amazing journey. I've literally tried and quit every gym/studio in Boston with the exception of EBF. The classes are motivating, high energy and something I look forward to attending. The trainers are all amazing and do a great job of making you genuinely want to try hard and do your best without feeling an intense pressure to perform. Obviously boxing is a huge part of the gym and those classes are awesome but I also love the variety in the classes. I can do my cardio intense days (Road x Classes) and then get a really good lift in at any x Strength class. EBF does a great job of creating a really fun community to be apart of and I highly highly recommend anyone considering it to give it a try -Train 360 is a great one to start with!Allie Birrell

Everybody fights has been a great experience for me! They offer great workout classes that are fun and engaging. Love hitting the heavy bags! They also offer a great environment for beginners that want to learn some real boxing and spar for the first time. All the instructors bring a positive attitude and atmosphere to the gym! Shout out to Miguel, awesome & passionate trainer! If you have never liked working out at a standard gym like me, I recommend you try this boxing gym! At the beginning of the quarantine, as I was about to turn 50, I told my friend that this was a turning point- either we needed to keep ourselves strong & healthy or we’d let ourselves go with no turning back. Although there were good intentions, I had little motivation to exercise with all the stress of work, childcare, housework etc. 24/7- not to mention a profound loss. I didn’t quite let myself go but it was definitely status quo at a not-so-great status. I had good intentions but couldn’t stay consistent. So much easier to grab a treat for breakfast or takeout for dinner and even more easy to sit on the couch and binge watch a show. Fast forward one year, with life seemingly going back to normal, I decided that I needed to refocus on myself and my health. At age 51 and running around after an 8 year old, I also need to keep myself fit for her and set a better example. I came across an IG ad from Aum Training Center and started an inquiry about their training services. Coach Chris called me soon after and had such a kind and engaging manner, I decided to meet with him to get more info and check out the studio. I immediately felt at home. Chris was completely down to earth, the studio had the warm energy of a yoga studio and none of the pretension of a gym. We had a great conversation about my experience with weight, fitness, yoga and running, then set realistic and attainable goals. Chris matched me up with Coach Ozzy who I immediately connected with because I got a very familial vibe from him. He was very flexible in scheduling as I had a very limited time window. He also provided me with delicious healthy recipes and reminded me that, rather than “dieting”, actually eating healthy meals is the key to success. Ozzy knows how to test my limits without pushing me so hard that I give up. One of my favorite things about him is that he is respectful of my own knowledge and integrates that into the plan. An extra bonus is that have great conversations too! Each workout is filled with music, laughter, and sweat! I started working out with him twice a week and being more conscious about food intake. Within weeks, I felt better, slept better and began noticing a change. Clothes began fitting differently and I had to start digging into the back of my closet for smaller sizes. Circling back to my friend, who has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders and greatest motivators. He will now be joining me at Aum and we’ll be working out together with Ozzy. Looking forward to continuing this journey and staying healthy together with a pact to never let the other let themself go! I’ve never felt especially comfortable in a gym and have always wished I was in better/more functional shape. After a lot of stops and starts with lifting and fitness, I made it a goal to start with personal training in 2022! Researching around, Aum had tons of great reviews and I took a shot at the consultation. Chris was instantly engaging and helpful, he took care to talk through my goals with me and walk me through what I could expect if I started with Aum. I ultimately wanted to work on strength and aesthetics- I’m a skinny dude and my nutrition is adequate so I didn’t need to fully reaudit my diet but these are absolutely the people I’ll go to when I’m ready to upgrade there! I’ve been lucky enough to do a three month session with Nicole who strikes an incredible balance between being knowledgeable, motivating, and fun. My anxiety/embarrassment about not knowing what I was doing was gone in a session and I was EXCITED to come and train twice a week. I learned what it felt like to have a great workout and focused on my form and body awareness which have translated into results and success in my non-Aum workout. Sessions were challenging but never discouraging and I always left in a better mood than when I came in. The facility is well maintained and they’re always trying new/cool equipment, I was almost always the only client in the gym (which I loved since I got to pick the tunes!) and I never felt crowded or rushed. The team is flexible and proactive with session scheduling and the app works really well to track workouts outside of the facility. Highly recommend this place, just be mindful and transparent about your goals and they will work hard to get you there! A+, Aum has really improved my life!Kevin Hupp

Chris is by far, the best personal trainer/coach I have ever had. Starting from a very thorough initial consultation, he spent an hour getting to know my fitness and nutritional goals. He keeps all the workouts exciting, challenging, and varies them with every session. He is extremely passionate and engaged with each of his clients. I travel quite often for work and he provides me with different travel workouts that can be easily done at any hotel gym. In addition, he asked me for images of my apartment gym so that he can give me a customized workout using the equipment that’s available to me at home. He also provides feedback on my nutrition by checking my food logs. By taking my work schedule into account, he has given me very creative and realistic suggestions regarding my diet and fitness. His approach to fitness doesn’t just involve the physical component, instead it’s a more holistic approach that considers my overall wellness. Even though I am a private client who trains one-on-one, he makes every effort to introduce me to other clients and trainers to make me feel like i’m part of the community. He also came to do a boot camp for our office as a team building exercise and my staff loved his enthusiasm and creativity to make it a fun day promoting health and physical activities. Kit helped me put together a presentation for a technical conference I was presenting at. Going into it, I had quite a bit of anxiety around presenting a technical topic in front of a bunch of people who were experts in the field. Working with Kit helped me reign in my ideas and present it in a way that could be well received by my audience. Further, working with him helped reduce my general anxiety around public speaking. Throughout the course of us working together, he always made the time to get the necessary practice. Every time I left one of our sessions, I felt like I had the necessary constructive feedback to work on improvements for the next iteration of the presentation. I attended the Boston Speaks Public Speaking Workshop in July 2022, and it was WONDERFUL! Kit did an amazing job out of the gate to set the tone for the workshop of it being a place for us to learn, practice and "take the stage". His method of teaching kept me engaged for the entire 4 hours with fun, out of the box exercises, personal examples and ways to apply what we were learning immediately. With a combination of effective communication skills and an energetic personality – Kit is an excellent group facilitator. I am excited to put what I learned into action soon at an upcoming meeting. I'm a new registered nurse, and am still on the hunt for a job. I needed a BLS class because mine expired! It would be ideal if I had already found a job where the hospital would pay for my BLS, but this was my situation. Jonathan was a great instructor. Because this is my fifth CPR class (my third BLS), I was rolling my eyes about having to go through the skills yet again. Jonathan was efficient in teaching the skills and testing us all within 45 minutes. Taking the rest of the class through online modules was so convenient. I highly recommend this class for anyone, but especially for those who are taking CPR for the third or fourth time.Pearl Miran

Great class Would recommend it for any healthcare provider in need of a BLS certificate. Our instructor Jonathan provided each student with the oportunity to practice their skills in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere. I was delighted that the manikins had rate monitors to simulate the proper depth and speed of compressions. That was a feature that I had never seen before and drastically improved my technique. Also, I was delighted to have received my AHA certificate in 36 hours, which was a relief since my BLS card was expiring in a few days.charles Lacey

Great BLS class! The instructor was very knowledgeable and the class was very educational and comprehensive. The students were working as team members as first responders and health care workers performing CPR on mannequins. The mannequins were great as they were providing an immidiate feedback on how effective the compressions are! If the rate and the depth of compressions were appropriate to the guidelines, two green dots would appear on the mannequin’s shoulder. I would highly recommend this class!Evelina Davtyan

I really really love coming to Swet! I've tried most of the classes and have had nearly every teacher, and they're all really lovely and supportive and friendly, and are really focused on safety in the silks. I've always struggled to find a form of cardio that I enjoyed and could stick to, and this is the one thing that I found I could do 4+ times a week! It's been really great for getting me back in shape post-pandemic. I've been going to classes regularly for about 2.5 months, and it's amazing to feel the difference. I've lost a bit of weight, but more importantly, I'm sticking to it and I can see myself getting stronger. It's crazy to think how in my 3rd class, I couldn't keep up halfway through, and now I can do all sorts of flips and lifts. I love being able to track myself making progress and getting stronger by developing skills in the silks — it's a super motivating way to get moving. It's a little intimidating and a little bit difficult at first, but you can go at your own pace and take a break in a rest position if you need to. After about a month of regular practice, I started to really feel the difference! Note: the easier place to start after beginner classes is the Aerial Yoga and Aerial Pilates classes. Aerial Fitness, Core + Arms, and Barre are much more fast-paced and really get your heart pumping/make you sore the next day! I've brought friends to beginner classes, and they always really enjoy it as well. Highly recommend trying it out, even if you're just beginning a fitness journey!Jobelle Mesa

Having been to dozens of fitness studios in Boston, SWET remains my #1 favorite. Walking through the South End to get there is a joy, and being in the studio is an incredible experience each time. All of the instructors are professional and knowledgeable, and somehow still surprise you with each class. The variety of classes they offer also keeps you on your toes! Aerial hammocks provide a method of movement that is truly unique in the way it allows you to move your body. The silk allows you to access muscle groups you are mostly unable to access or at least unable to access in such depth that you walk out of each class feeling renewed and open. 10/10 experiences at SWET, I highly highly recommend!Sacha Sergent

I joined Swet a few months ago right before moving out of the neighborhood and only wish I had tried it sooner! I've continued going because of how much I like it. The environment is incredibly welcoming. The instructors are friendly and knowledgable. It is small enough that you start seeing familiar faces after a few visits and get individual attention and assistance when needed. I've primarily taken the row classes. They are well run, challenging, and the time flies. I've tried a few aerial yoga classes as well, which is brand new to me. The beginner classes are a great introduction. The instructors really make sure everyone is comfortable. I highly recommend trying it out!Kelly Mackey
