The emergency room doctor was awful-incompetent and non caring! My husband was brought in by ambulance as I believed he had suffered a stroke. The emergency room Dr. tried to tell me he got dizzy because he ripped off a bandaid – kinda like when someone sees blood and faints! I was speechless-I asked him if his father or wife had the same symptoms would he send them home and he said yes he would. I told him I wanted my husband to have an MRI first. He said “Well, you’ll be waiting all night. There’s a lot of other people waiting for an MRI.” He told us he’d give us a few minutes to decide. He came back to the room and I said “ the CDC guidelines post the symptoms of a stroke and my husband has all them! He then said “ok, you are staying the night then.” A few minutes later a wonderful Dr. came in and from there my husband was put in the progressive stroke care unit and everyone there was absolutely fabulous. I give them FIVE stars!! My husband did stroke in three parts of his brain- thank God, I didn’t take the “advice” of the emergency room doctor. He shouldn’t be working as a doctor!1 star for the emergency room Dr.Claudia Nelson
My mother was seen last night in ED Mission Hospital. We had a terrible experience. The laboratory and Radiology ( X-RAY) turn around time is a disaster. As a Trauma hospital the Turn around time for laboratory test results must be available <45 minutes. It takes >4 hours to get all the results back. My mom was negative for COVID they didn’t even test RSV or Flu. She has fever for 2 days didn’t even test her for Lactate for possible Sepsis. At the end they test her for Flu. …omg its positive Flu A. Can’t you imagine it takes them > 4 hours to rule out FLU A ( the test takes only 20-30 minutes) all i hear from the receptionist is “ we are very busy” … are you guys out of Ratio? Hows your patient experience? I think your patient length of stay is Terrible. Should we discuss this with CDPH to check your hospital performance as a level 1 Trauma hospital?Randz R
The worst ER room I’ve been to and I’m from a higher population city. They misdiagnosed me until I demanded tests, were snarky that I was upset, down right rude, after the results of tests were severe they were apologetic. After being referred to a surgeon I was unable to see them because I was out of area, I returned with worsening symptoms, and everything on my sheet they gave me to return to ER if I was experiencing. In extreme pain with a worsening symptoms they left me in ER waiting room for over 6 hours. I left to be miserable at least in a bed. Awful management, they don't listen to women, barely give exam or run any tests. The nurse said his only job was to get me out of there. Do not go here your life depends on it! Oh when I got a room it had no bed- I was sat in a waiting room chair in an ER exam room with a cervical injury.Jackie Lenz

Review Summary
Our caregiver is our personal super hero and we adore her. And our family and friends feel the same way because of her genuine concern for our well being. We admire her willingness to assist two people with opposite needs at the same time. She is so smart and we rely on her to solve household problems and tech issues with our computer. She is a wonderful bilingual conversationalist, keeping us aware of current events and popular culture. Six days a week she arrives with a big smile and eager to work making our lives easier. She prepares our meals, handles household chores like laundry and maintains our small garden. She also does a physical therapy routine and takes walks to help us maintain a healthy lifestyle. She has our complete trust handling our errands such as banking, shopping groceries and picking up our prescriptions. She is flexible with her hours allowing us to accept appointments and invitations away from home. Then accompanies us to medical appointments, community events and social gatherings with friends. We are delighted with Home Instead for selecting such an exemplary employee that allows us to remain safe, healthy and entertained in our home.Sharon Bonino
We feel like our caregiver Cheyanne was literally an angel plucked right out of heaven to take care of my Mom. With my Mom almost 80 years old and diagnosed with Parkinson’s 8 years ago, keeping her safe and her home has been a challenge. We called Alyssa at Home Instead who promptly scheduled a home visit. Within 2 weeks she had matched us with our caregiver, Cheyanne. After her first shift we all knew we had really found a match made in heaven with Cheyanne and my Mom. When my Mom had hip replacement surgery Cheyanne was willing to work longer shifts and added days. During this stressful time I can’t adequately put in to words how grateful we are for Home Instead, our facilitator Alyssa, our scheduling and billing contact Michelle and our honorary little sister, our angel, Cheyanne. Thank you! From the McIntyre and Garcia families.Chad McIntyre
I worked for this Home Instead location for a year and a half, and I highly recommend this company to any individual who seeks to use their caregiving skills for optimal good. The office staff were always kind, understanding, and most importantly responsible during the uncertain times of the pandemic. The new owners show their dedication to retain and strengthen the quality of care by continually training caregivers, providing health insurance, and offering options for retirement savings. I will always look back at my time with Home Instead contently because I made so many positive memories with my one client. I am truly grateful that I did not have to worry as much about my health or financial situation during the pandemic because I chose honorable work with the right employers.Valerie Hutchings

"Hospice Care You Can Trust"
Review Summary
Gemma at Vision Viejo was professional, experienced and compassionate. I can't say enough good things about my experience from beginning to end. My father's death was made a graceful, kind and loving experience with in-home hospice care. And from the generous time Gemma spent answering all my questions while I was interviewing various hospice agencies to her first meeting with me and my mom at the hospital, to every step of the way in the following days. Gemma was a bedrock for us. If my mom was web-savvy, she'd be posting a 5-star glowing review as well. We are also impressed by Jay, a home health aide, who bathed and shaved my dad with the most pleasant demeanor. My mom and I can't thank you enough, Gemma, for helping us and showing us how to approach death in such a humane, loving and authentic way. I am so grateful to have said good-bye to my Dad with so much more love and life (and even some laughter!), because we were guided by her experience and knowledge and calm. I give my highest recommendation to Vision Viejo!Anchi Mei
I cannot recommend Vision Viejo Hospice enough. My “healthy as a horse” 102yo Grandma Dorothy took a horrible and sudden turn over this past week. As she hadn’t been to the doctor in forever and absolutely refused a hospital, despite being incredibly ill, I reached out to Vision Viejo and Gemma. Gemma was able to arrange an in-home evaluation within a few hours. By that night, we had my grandma comfortable and her suffering had ceased. She even made it to her 103 birthday the next day. Unfortunately, she continued to decline but passed peacefully, surrounded by family and love. I couldn’t have asked for a better goodbye to the most the incredible human I have ever met. Without Gemma and Vision Viejo, my Grandma might have left this world in agony. Thank you, Gemma. With all my heart and soul, thank you.Erin DeMars
In Feb 2021, I was in desperate need of hospice care for an ailing older family member. I had flown in from out of state to see if I could help with making some in home care arrangements, as he did not want to leave his living situation. The very first time I called, I got immediate attention from a live person. They have met and exceeded every need he and myself had hoped for in his care. Everyone has been so kind, patient and understanding. I was given resources and guidance in navigating a move and transfer to eventually bring him home with me. They handled any problem day or night, no matter how small and communicated continually. If I ever needed their services again, I would not hesitate to call and employ this exceptional group of people.Paul Truesdale

Review Summary
We are very thankful for Acti-Kare’s in helping my in-laws. During the beginning of covid lockdown, we were in search of help for my in-laws, who live in a retirement community. The agency was recommended by friends. At the time, Lori ran the service and we had great experience with her. She loves what she does and really cares about providing top service to people who they care for. Every household has its unique needs and we are no different. She’s very responsive, flexible and a great listener. She tailored their service to exactly what we need. The staff from the agency is very professional, we had no issue with her. She’s punctual with good hygiene. My in-laws were very satisfied with her service. we only needed 6 month of service. No change of staff during the period, which is nice. I had several pleasant conversions with new owner Tarun as well. He’s very nice and genuine. Overall, we are very happy that Acti-Kare was there to help my in-laws during this difficult time. Thank you Lori! Thank you Tarun! Thank you Joyce!Wenbo Shao
At our initial meeting, we met Tarun who was highly professional, courteous and client-oriented. He provided us with a list of qualities we could expect from our caregivers. He made it very clear that I was to notify the office at any time we felt we were not appropriately being cared for. Our caregiver is excellent! She is dependable and self motivated. She takes great care of our dad and helps with basic household chores. The company has been very cooperative with necessary scheduling changes. The service has been a wonderful much needed break for my wife and I who are busy working from home & homeschooling our kids during the pandemic. Thank you Acti-Kare for your assistance.Harshad Dave
Very well managed and professionally run company. Owner took the time to understand the needs of my mother-in-law. Caregiver assigned to assist my mother-in-law was very patient, sensitive and professional. New owner of the company is actively involved in day-to-day business to make sure clients are getting the best services and care. Would highly recommend Acti-Kare of South Orange County if you are looking for responsive, compassionate, reliable and outstanding care for your loved ones.Raj Sharma

Review Summary
We’ve had a horrendous experience. Our caregiver never showed up and our father fell and was on the floor for two days! Thank goodness our other caregiver scheduled and (not Armada )showed up on their scheduled day. Apparently, the account rep forgot to put him on their schedule! Despite emails, discussions, confirmation and texts! We are in complete shock and our father is now in the hospital. Getting a response without having to chase down the account rep is the norm and absolutely horrible customer service. We are still waiting to hear back from management and it’s going on 3 days!Kathleen Delaney
Amada took amazing care of my parents! The caregivers were so kind, compassionate, professional and helpful. The administration really listened to what we needed and matched us with perfect caregivers for my parents. It took so much stress away to know that my parents were happy, content, safe and well cared for when I couldn’t be with them. We are so grateful!Diana Taylor
DR is a caring and compassionate person! And he has developed a team at Amada that really cares about their clients! They also treat their caregivers very well who in turn provide high quality care to their clients and clients' families. You can trust that DR and team will help you and your family!Matt Ushler

Review Summary
In-home care agencies are a dime a dozen, but every once in awhile you come across a sliver dollar. Care Partners is that silver dollar and undoubtedly the best in in-home care providers. I have been a professional in the senior living industry for more the 13 years and have never come across a home care agency that has the professionalism, culture, passion, and expertise that Care Partner demonstrates daily with this clients, team and community. I believe that their team members are the heart beat of their business and their culture is one that creates a positive, supportive, and fun environment. I strongly suggest you visit their office to experience what I a talking about. I know they will welcome you. As a successful geriatric care consultant and memory care facility owner I have used Care Partners for my clients, facility and personal family and friends. I trust them GREATLY! My experience shows that they have high expectations for their caregivers and they provide them with the support and training to be successful. I cannot say enough about Care Partners at Home. Rodney, Randy and Ben are passionate about senior care and the services their provide. If you have read this far into my review you really should call them…REALLY! Thank you Care Partners for service our families and seniors. You inspire me!William Young
I just wanted to take the time to say what a wonderful and professional team this organization has. In my experience in Healthcare I have encountered many organizations but not like Care Partners At Home. Angie is the Case Manager and she is very thorough and communicates to her patients and families. Monique is the Client Coordinator and she makes sure to provide the right staff member for each family. Ben is amazing! He meets with the patient and families, he evaluates if they would benefit from their services and if not he and his team work hard to guide them in the right direction and he is such a good resource for anyone that encounters him. Even Rodney who is the President engages with patients and families. In my experience its very rare when even leadership can connect to those they serve. I know if my patients and families choose to have Care Partners At Home provide them services they are in good hands.Jessica Diaz
My family and I were very blessed by the excellent care my mom received in the last month of her life before passing on 5/20/21. She battled metastatic breast cancer and was a warrior in every sense, and the Care Partners was a perfect fit for us. Tifany was fabulous from my very first call to her… she was kind, compassionate and helped us tremendously. Anjanette was my mom’s caretaker and we LOVED her!! She was so gentle, respectful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor! We all looked forward to her visits! My mom loved her and my dad appreciated her company. There are a lot of caretaking companies out there, so it was tough to decide on one. I’m so grateful for the Care Partners and HIGHLY recommend them!!Stacy Azevedo Nicola

Review Summary
Visiting Angels Newport Beach was a lifesaver for me and my mom – possibly quite literally. She had entered advanced age remarkably physically and mentally fit. But then she took a sudden turn for the worse. She was a single woman living on her own and we were not at all prepared for how much help she needed. A friend recommended Visiting Angels. I called while my head was still reeling from a number of doctors visits and did not have a clear idea of exactly what we needed or how to begin. I was also living hours away and so I had to conduct business with them in a hybrid fashion – sometimes from afar and sometimes in person. The outstanding owner and staff of Visiting Angels Newport Beach swept in and created options and solutions for us within hours. Its clear that for them their job begins with caring. My mom was scared and confused. I was too in different ways. They swiftly helped us both feel safe again and that the situation was manageable. The caretaker they ultimately provided was perfect. She helped my mom in ways the doctors actually couldn't. In this case, the moment ended up being a catalyst for her moving into an assisted living facility. But before that ever happened, her most acute symptoms were vastly improved by the time she spent with Visiting Angels of Newport Beach coming into her home. They also explained their fee structure simply and clearly and stuck to it. Everyone involved was thoroughly trustworthy. And it seemed as if I could reach them at almost any time day or night. I couldn't give this business a high enough rating. That's why this note is soooo long. Thank you thank you thank you.Matt Bretz
We have been using Visiting Angels – Newport Beach for one year for my 88 year old mother who has dementia. My mother lives with us and the caregivers come 5 days/week so my family has gotten to know them well. The office staff (Keith, Anna, Kristi) and the caregivers have been excellent. We have three caregivers on a regular schedule. The caregivers are all professional, warm and competent. The office staff communicates clearly and quickly to my scheduling requests or changes. COVID protocols are followed and communicated clearly. When we first began working with Visiting Angels the office staff listened to us regarding the needs we requested for my mother (mostly safety, nutrition/food intake, socializing, monitor medicine intake) and matched caregivers to my mother's social personality. My mother has responded well to the caregivers and really enjoys her time with them. Keith, the owner, came to our home to discuss my mother's needs. We have been very happy with Visiting Angels – Newport Beach, will continue to use them and highly recommend them for caregiving needs.Eileen McCarthy
I can't say enough about Keith and his team of care givers at Visiting Angels of Newport Beach. They are, without a doubt, some of the most kind and caring individuals I have ever met. Keith and his brilliant daughter came on board to help us when my mom only needed just a few hours a week and stayed right with us all the way until she needed full time care after she fell and became ill. They were professional, accommodating and understanding and helped us come up with a good plan to care for my mom. I would recommend them to anyone who needs some help with an aging parent all the way from just a little bit of help to full time care at home. They are angels of the highest order!Claudia Moore

Review Summary
I have worked professionally with 24Hr HomeCare for the past 3 years. A family member of mine recently went into hospice and our family needed additional help quickly. It is an extremely stressful time and after 2 weeks of 24/7 family care, we all needed some respite. It was 6pm on a Saturday and we needed a caregiver to stay overnight that night. I called 3 companies in my area including 24Hr HomeCare. One company couldn’t send someone out until Monday and seemed like a call center service. They were going to have someone call me back on Monday to discuss further. The other company seemed like it was run by a few individuals and also couldn’t send someone on short notice. I called 24Hr HomeCare and Sarina worked through the obstacles and sent someone by 8pm to help carry the heavy load. I have no qualms about recommending this service.Sam Shefrin
Haven't used them but when I was at Costco yesterday I saw a caregiver, Theresa S, (I was so impressed I asked her name and who she worked for) be so loving and caring to a lady she was taking care of. The lady gave her more money than was needed and she had her take it back and put in her wallet with all the other ones, cleaned the table, had her hold her purse, and watched every minute while she was getting her something. Honesty, cleanliness, and caring is what I saw. If all their caregivers are like this, WOW, I'm impressed.Lois Halbert
Had to use this service for a ride home after surgery. They were very, very helpful from beginning to end, which included full explanation at the beginning, timely reminder as it got close, home visit to meet and fill out a bit of paperwork. And the day of service went as smooth as can be, all done with no prepayment. They waited until it was done to charge me, which was a very fair price. Couldn't ask for more.James Marinaccio

Review Summary
I want to thank the entire staff at Atria Del Sol in Mission Viejo. We moved my father in a year and a half ago after an extremely difficult year. Atria was exactly what he needed! He made friends and enjoyed lots of TLC which was greatly appreciated. He recovered so well that after a year and half, he decided to move into his own apartment! I could have never imaged he would regain all independence! During the pandemic, they kept all the residents safe and did everything they could to stay positive. It was a very challenging time for all of us, especially the seniors. I could not have asked for a better team to keep my dad safe. They kept him occupied, eating healthy, and offered so many activities on site, even when they couldn't leave their rooms. Reika was also so sweet and positive with all the residents. Finally when my dad could has elective surgery, Joanna and her team did a great job making sure he healed properly and quickly. The front desk staff was amazing and Nina was one of my dad's favorites. There were so many wonderfully kind staff, I cannot name them all. If you are looking for a caring staff that give just the right level of care in a beautiful facility and grounds, I highly recommend Atria!Kristine Nelson
We made the decision to place my mom here 5 months ago since she was no longer able to be alone and take care of herself and we work full time. I went to numerous places and Atria, by far was the best. The people have been fantastic to me and to her and I never have to worry about her because I always know she is in excellent hands. I visit her frequently and the ladies that work there always dote on her and make her feel special. If I am worried about her and need her to be checked on they do it promptly and communicate with me. She has settled in really well with the community and she is now more involved in activities and outings and I couldn't be more pleased. Before her husband passed, she would just sit in the house day after day and never go anywhere. Well, that's not the case now! Thank you from the bottom of my heart all you folks at Atria! Jennifer, Ana, Jeremiah, Irma, Asal, Rena, Marie, Julia, Flor, Luis, Kat, Peyton, Divina and everyone else who does a wonderful job there! Please forgive my memory for not recalling all your names!! You guys rock!!!!! If you are looking for wonderful upbeat care in a beautiful resort like setting, please don't hesitate to reach out to these folks! 🙂Marina Songer
We were looking for a short term care facility for my husband in between hospital stay and home. We looked into several facilities and chose this one mainly because of Jennifer who was the sales representative. Jeremiah answered all of our questions and was very helpful the entire stay . The transportation was great to my husband‘s dialysis three times a week and doctors appointments . Perry, the driver, was extremely nice and professional . Physical therapy was great, five days a week with very professional technicians. My Husband was very confident with Judee, Nicole and Kristy. They worked him hard to get him ready to go home . Our at home physical therapist couldn’t believe how well he was doing. This was our first experience with anything like this so we were a little apprehensive at first. However, everything was clean. The staff is professional and very thoughtful and respectful. Every visit I was greeted with a smile when I walked in. The Receptionists were very thorough to make sure that temperatures were taken and masks were worn. Covid rules were very strict which I appreciated. Thanks to all of you!❤️Cindi Shively

I can not say enough Wonderful things about CareWorks Health Services! My mother needed a caregiver and was not really on board with having a one. At 86, She felt she was ok on her own… Thank G-d We found CareWorks! All of the staff are amazing and really listened to my Mom's needs. Nezira is incredible!! She has literally saved my mothers life! She is so attentive and makes sure she is eating the right foods and that she is drinking enough water. She treats my mother like her own family and truly has her best interest! The staff are so nice and professional! Before CareWorks, I had hired another company to take care of my mother, and that was a disaster! They sent out different caregivers each time and a few times had their office manager come out! One time they sent out a young lady, who just sat on the couch & didn't know how to do the laundry! My Mother was teaching her how to do laundry!! Bottom line, I love CareWorks and would totally recommend them to anyone who needs care for their family!!Sandi Rikelman
I have had several hip replacements which have a tendency to dislocate. This occurred again several weeks ago. I am a caregiver for my husband, who has problems. He should not be left alone for an extended period of time. He does not drive. We also have a small dog. In need of immediate assistance, I called 911 and Careworks. This agency had a caregiver to our home also immediately. The hospital was able to put the hip back in place. Careworks gave my husband and dog assistance for a period of 24 hours and also picked me up at the hospital. Their immediate response was wonderful. They appear to be extremely helpful in case of emergency. Thank You, Anh and your very capable staff. Gina RoyaltyGina Royalty
I had used Accessible Home Health Care for close to 4 years when I first moved my mother to California. Ann was extremely helpful to me in getting the right caregivers for my mom. The caregivers she provided were extremely competent, caring and gave full attention to my mother's needs. I felt my mother was given the best help I could ask for. Ann and her staff were very kind and understanding with the needs of my mother and I felt at ease that my mother was being taken very good care of. I extremely recommend Ann and her Care group if you should ever need assistance with and elderly family member.Sandy Geller

Our in-home caregivers take on the tasks that can seem overwhelming, such as cooking, laundry, cleaning and running errands. But we do more than that. We understand that what you want most for your loved one is help, hope, comfort, companionship and compassion. You want someone who genuinely cares. And that’s what we do. Because caring is our calling."
Review Summary
We partnered with FirstLight in the care of my elderly mother. Our initial contact regarding the levels of service and our expectations confirmed for me that we were dealing with the professionals that we wanted! Shortly after our call, someone met me and assessed what we were facing and actually stayed in contact with us until we were ready for in-home care that was a few weeks away. The care from their professionals made ALL THE DIFFERENCE in my mother's recovery. Each member of their staff was compassionate, attentive and encouraged mom to challenge herself. They continuously monitored her and their client portal is updated daily with a high-level report sharing observations. Some of the family lives remotely and this was extremely helpful so that we always knew what has happening. The differentiator for me is that they helped me to be mom's ADVOCATE which is critical when dealing with acute health issues. Mom's outcome Exceeded all of our expectations and she no longer requires their assistance! We have a new group of friends for life.David Campbell
We needed care with short for my grandmother who had a stroke. Not only was the care very good, most affordable of its kind, and made easy as far as transition is concerned, but they went above and beyond in every area of possible concern. We got short on money and needed to discontinue service and even that transition was wonderful. They cooked wonderful, kept her place clean, were good at working along side different family members with different concerns, communicated with us constantly, leaders often checked in with grandma and us, flexible with finding caregivers that met our needs, and stayed professional while also being very genuinely caring. Their conflict management wether dealing with confusion that comes from strokes or a caregiver who has a concern was also very good. God bless First Light and all who read.Hopeful Servant
I can't rave enough about the quality of care which FirstLight provided for us in a sudden and very difficult situation. My husband was returned home from over a week at Salem Hospital where we were unable to visit because of COVID, which he fortunately did not have, but we were thus unaware of his decline. At the last minute Molly was able to secure 24/7 help for us, desperately needed. And the quality of the helpers was extraordinary – intelligent, compassionate, well-trained, considerate guests in our home, some in college to be nurses. The one who was with us when he passed away was an angel – we had to comfort her almost more than each other! We will always remember her. The North Shore is very fortunate to have such a 5-star resource to help in difficult times.Ruth Sigler

Review Summary
Considering my experience with other lesser caregiving agencies that I've hired for my now 96-year-old mother, Salus is far and away the gold standard. In the three years that we were with Salus, we had the absolute best caregivers who were devoted to my mom and her needs. One was with us for more than two years before she reluctantly had to retire from the profession for personal reasons. We considered her like part of the family. She helped us through the worst of the pandemic and the challenges of keeping my mother safe from the virus. My mother never caught the virus, thanks to the little quarantine bubble we established with Kaye, our caregiver. I'd also like to add that the administrative staff at Salus are true professionals. Quincie, the case manager at Salus, is someone who is so thoroughly knowledgable about the industry, and who helped us navigate all the ins and outs with the longterm care insurance company, paperwork, and other aspects of elder care. Renee, a staff member at Salus, was very pro-active and caring. He kept in touch with us by phone and we are so grateful for his kind assistance. Not once did we ever have a problem or conflict with Salus. Everything always ran smoothly with them, and we were definitely in good hands. Highly recommended.Karen Anderson
Salus Homecare was a blessing for our family during some very difficult times. Every step of the way they were supportive, flexible, and professional. Quincie Novella our case manager was easy to work with and always available when needed. I also would like to recognize and express my sincere gratitude to the other staff members Jennifer and caregiver Nine (Nina) who went over and beyond in caring for our mother. Their attention to her every need was evident and greatly appreciated and allowed us peace of mind until the end. I would greatly recommend this amazing group of people if you have a loved one in need of assistance.Greg Stafford
Salus home care was a Godsent. When I found out my mother was being sent home on Hospice, I knew she needed a lot of additional care since I lived states away and had a newborn. Quincie, the case manager, was so kind and quick to action. They had a caregiver at my mothers house within 24 hours. I continued to receive amazing support throughout this painful process from Quincie and Jennifer. The caregivers, Nanette, Marisol & Rihana were outstanding and so patient, kind and dedicated. I really couldn’t have made it through this last month of my mothers life without Salus and their team.Kacey Curran

Review Summary
We are so thankful to Care to Stay Home staff for the transitioning of my father coming home!! Our father had a major surgery and had a hard recovery at the rehab center. But it was time to come home, and we were so worried how mom who is also 80 going to care for dad, since I live in Northern California. The staff at Laguna Hill Rehabilitation referred Scott at Care to Stay Home to us, and within 15 minute, Scott called and not only resolve our issues of how to care for dad, he also referred us with all the resources we needed to prepare for dad’s homecoming. Scott came to our house the next day to help us evaluate what we need to do to prepare mom and dad’s home to make it safer for them. And he helped me find all the people needed to train us to care for dad, where to purchase the things he need, and of course set up the care and the schedule for the care dad need when he comes home. A few days before discharge, he made arrangement with Laguna Hill Rehabilitation, so our care taker Cora can get the specific training from dad’s PT and OT. So, when Cora comes, the transition will be seamless. And it was seamless. Cora came 2 days before coming to our home to meet us and answer any questions we may have. And she was so experienced, caring, and funny that mom and dad both love her. The transition was so beautiful and good. Dad is doing well in getting better, and the weight on mom’s shoulder was off. And I was able to go home to my husband and kids, knowing mom and dad will be good. We are very thankful for the services and experiences of the staff at Care To Stay Home: Scott, Jolie, and Cora. They help us navigate this new stage of our lives.Amy Kotsubo
I am so grateful for care to stay home. I have been so impressed with their entire team and so happy that their company exists. They truly provide an extraordinary service that helps those who want to stay home remain at home. My grandmother suffered from dementia. She needed somebody to be with her who could assist her throughout the day. It got to the point where she needed somebody with her all the time. I am so grateful that care to stay home was there to help us along the way. We were so happy to have their care managers in constant contact with our family. We were updated when they were changes in schedules and changes in our needs. They were available for any questions or general issues that came up with our grandmothers care. Their team made it easy for us to rest assured that my grandmother was getting the best care possible. I cannot say enough great things about this company. I would highly recommend them to anybody needing in-home care services. They are trustworthy, dependable, and truly an outstanding help to our family.Jessica Wells
We have very much appreciated Care To Stay Home and all their staff from day one. They helped me out of a last minute jam to find caregivers for my mother before I returned to my home out of state. Some of the caregivers became her closest interactions over the 3 years prior to transitioning to a skilled nursing facility for our next stage in this process. When staffing became difficult during COVID, Care To Stay Home always had someone with my mother for that days shift at a time when it was not possible to move her closer to us and be safe about it with our jobs as teachers. Even hard to fill weekend shift were covered so my mother was with a caregiver everyday. Thank you Scott, Jolie, Daisy, Gerry, Rosa, Milli and all the others who filled in and for what you have done for my mother and us, it is greatly appreciated.Curtis Fisher

"An elegant and simple plan for the future. No more than you need. And no less than you deserve. Beautiful homes, attractive amenities, helpful services, and convenient access to active senior living in Mission Viejo should you ever need it. If you’re ready to expect more from retirement, then you’re ready to learn more about the value of Reata Glen."
Review Summary
We have lived at Reata Glen for six months and moving here was one of the best decisions we have ever made. One of us is in their 60’s and one the other is in their 70’s. We are very active, and our friends and family were questioning our decision to move into a continuing care community at this stage of our lives. We, however, had seen the benefits of a continuing care community when some thirty years ago one of our grandmothers moved into one. We watched her go through all the stages from independent living to hospice care, and we knew that this type of community offered the best way to age. You can enjoy many more activities and people than you would likely have in an independent retirement life, while having the security of knowing your future needs will be met. In fact, there are so many interesting activities and excursions here that we can’t come near doing even everything, that interests us. Reata Glen is a beautiful development with many options from 1-bedroom apartments to a few three-bedroom, stand-alone villas. All units are on a single level, which is great if you have or develop mobility issues. One of the best things about Reata Glen is the people. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. In the first few days after moving in, we had met many of our neighbors. People stopped by our house to introduce themselves, often bringing cookies or flowers. When you meet new people there is often an invitation to dinner, which is easy since we all have access to the restaurants here, and we each use our own food points – no worrying about splitting checks. Another great feature is the Residency Counselor, Christy, whose job is to help new people learn about all the services and activities, to answer questions and to assist if there are any problems. She was very helpful, and her enthusiasm helped make our transition easy. Each small group of units has an Area Rep who is the area representative to the Residents Counsel and who organizes monthly meetings, dinners and social activities. The Area Rep also helps new people settle in. There is a large staff to provide and manage the many services here, and they are uniformly friendly and helpful. Nancy, the marketing representative who assisted us as we made our decision to move here, was extremely patient and helpful. There were no high-pressure techniques, only an effort to understand what we wanted and to help us understand how Reata Glen could meet our needs. All the staff, from housekeeping and maintenance staff to the department heads and executive director have been friendly, caring, and professional. Until we moved in, we didn’t realize what a relief it would be not to have to worry about things like finding an electrician, buying and changing water filters and, probably most of all, cooking. The food here is very well prepared with a lot of variety. The pandemic had affected the structure of the dining facilities and has impacted the ability to maintain a full staff, but Reata Glen has made extraordinary efforts to keep the dining facilities open and to increase their take-out capacity. That approach is typical of the approach we have seen to the few problems that have arisen – don’t just patch the problem but try to find the best possible solution. We have always found that moving is always a difficult decision and a challenging process, especially as we get older, but we think that moving to Reata Glen has fulfilled our hopes and improved our lives.Webb Burns
When we were in our sixties and long-time empty-nesters, we sold our family home of forty years along with all the maintenance woes that went along with it and moved to Orange County into a “55 and Better” retirement community of 284 homes. We lived there happily for twelve years, at which time we heard of plans to build Reata Glen less than 10 miles away. After attending an introductory luncheon at the Talega Golf Club and learning what a CCRC was all about, we put down a refundable deposit. Although we enjoyed senior living our house had stairs and a large yard and we were now in our eighties. It was clear to us that Reata Glen was where we belonged. It would be approximately five years from ground-breaking to move-in giving us plenty of time to downsize and sell our home. We moved into Reata Glen on May 28, 2019. We were referred to as “pioneers” because we were one of the first to do so and we’ve never looked back. We picked a large sunny apartment on the ground floor and settled in free of all home-owning responsibilities. We have made countless friends and enjoy a plethora of activities and amenities available to us. A year after we moved in, a state-of-the-art medical center was completed adjacent to our clubhouse. The Orchards Medical Center offers Memory Care, Assisted Living and 24-hour Skilled Nursing Care so we have the peace of mind knowing that our long-term care is taken care of. We consider our move to this beautiful Life Plan Community as a gift to our six children. They will not have to physically care for us when the time comes, as we did our parents. We know we made the right decision when we chose Reata Glen. It is everything they said it would be…and more. Our friends say living at Reata Glen is like being on a cruise that never leaves port.Barbara Trafficanda
We toured and researched various other communities and chose Reata Glen. Our surroundings are beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the residents are active and fun. It was a big decision but we have no regrets. We were overwhelmed with the move but were soon welcomed by neighbors, and greeted by our fabulous area rep Karen. Christy helped with the transition and all of the staff has been so helpful. There is so much to do here! There are many clubs and more casual gatherings, there are many beautiful areas ( inside and out) where we can relax, read, or write or visit. There is a well-appointed gym, the pool is always warm, and there are exercise classes, dance classes, and classes to address any physical needs. Reata Glen sits on a beautiful 60 acre campus. We were delighted when we saw out first deer grazing on the mountain! The weather has been lovely, with the breeze coming up from Dana Point via the San Juan Creek. It’s quite idyllic year round. And they feed us! Shawn and his staff prepare and serve lovely meals and always with smiles. Although we have a kitchen we do very little cooking…. No lists, prep, cooking, or cleaning! We use the microwave to make popcorn! We wanted to relocate to a place where we could live out our lives in comfort. We chose Reata Glen because it offers living arrangements across the continuum, of needs. If and when we need more there is Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, or Hospice available. In conclusion, this has been a big decision, but also a wise one.John Hendricks

I just have started working with this company since May. I'd say it's great people to work with and they do try to improve, making sure they are going above for everyone's happiness. They show that they really want the best for the clients and for the employees. It's quite the passion to see and makes me glad to be part of that team! I always didn't have the help when I was younger so I'm glad to be part of the change. Being able to provide the service and feel needed by clients is a nice feeling because I will do my best. It just made me love what I do and I learn every day as a caregiver 💕whiteangel 98

Review Summary
The entire process has been welcoming, positive, and very helpful. Georgi returned my inquiry call within 10 minutes. After researching I decided to take a tour. It was a weekend and a tour was not officially scheduled, but everyone working was so happy to answer questions and show us around. I loved what I experienced. The Orchards was clean, professional, and quiet. Everyone including staff and residents seemed happy to be there. It seemed like the perfect place for my family member to recover fully and build strength after a hospital stay in order to eventually return home. The admissions team went above and beyond to expedite the transition from the hospital to skilled nursing. Once there, I have felt all aspects of care have been top notch. The nursing team, admissions coordinator, social worker, physical, occupational, and speech therapy have been caring and very good with communicating. They have been available and helpful in all respects. It feels like a family in the way the staff coordinates to care for their residents. I’m very pleased with the experience at The Orchards.Cheri Ryan
Kind and caring staff. Very friendly and helpful. Nothing is perfect, but this is about as good as it gets. Taking time to get ti know the staff really helps the experience. The interiors are clean, well taken care of, and new. Nice TV’s. Clean bath/shower rooms. Shared rooms have closets separating the residents, instead of curtains, which gives more privacy and a quieter space on each side. The food is actually pretty good. Modern tech details like EV charging stations outside are cool. The grounds with courtyards are beautiful. The drought tolerant landscaping is very nice. The view of the hills is relaxing. It makes you want to buy into Reata Glen, the independent living development associated with The Orchards. I swore I wouldn’t let my wife go to a Skilled Nursing Facility after our last experience with one nearby, and with my mom’s unacceptable experience in another SNF. The Orchards really is different, and was a very pleasant surprise.Derek Voien
I had to find a place for my 84 year old Dad after he had a fall and from the moment I called I knew the Orchards was where I wanted my Dad to be. Roxana was so helpful explaining how everything works. All the nurses and staff are so caring and kind. And the facility is top notch… with state of the art equipment and very clean. They even have a anytime menu with all sorts of yummy food. My Dad is a very picky eater and the Chefs came in to find out what he likes and dislikes in food.. They have a full gym to help build back his strength so he can return home. As far a skilled nursing facility go this is an A plus place. We feel so fortunate to have my Dad at The OrchardsSuzie Weber

Upon the death of my father, my family was faced with finding a safe, caring environment for my mother, involving relocating from another state. I did not know where to start. I was fortunate to look at the website for Senior CareHomes. I requested assistance and immediately received contact from Kate Allado. She was essential in the process of finding homes that were in the areas that would be best for our mom and family. She provided excellent service and within a week we were able to move mom into the environment we were hoping for. There was no high pressure involved from SeniorCareHomes, just very needed and appreciated information and assistance. I will be forever grateful for this essential service Kate provided and will reach out again if we have any future needs. I highly recommend Kate and SeniorCareHomes.Patricia Smith
Kate Allado at Senior Care Homes had the expertise and advice that we needed when looking to relocate our mother to a new home. She was quick to respond to all our questions, and was extremely knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. It was a pleasure to work with Kate and, because of her, we quickly found a lovely residential home that could meet the changing needs of our mother. I would highly recommend Kate Allado to anyone who is searching for senior living options for a loved one.Jan Long
Kate helped me find a quality residential care home for my mom who has Alzheimer’s. Within days of talking with Kate she was able to provide a full list of homes for me to check into. She asked the right questions up-front and really listened to our wants and needs. I highly recommend Kate and her service to anyone looking for care for a loved one. Five stars!Laura Harris

Why did Fr. Jack Sewell deny Holy Communion on tongue? "…In the United States, the body of Bishops has determined that "[t]he norm… is that Holy Communion is to be received standing, unless an individual member of the faithful wishes to receive Communion while kneeling" and that a bow is the act of reverence made by those receiving (no. 160). This norm is supported by an Instruction by the Holy See regarding the Eucharist: "In distributing Holy Communion it is to be remembered that 'sacred ministers may not deny the sacraments to those who seek them in a reasonable manner, are rightly disposed, and are not prohibited by law from receiving them' (Code of Canon Law, can. 843 § 1; cf. can. 915). Hence any baptized Catholic who is not prevented by law must be admitted to Holy Communion. Therefore, it is not licit to deny Holy Communion to any of Christ's faithful solely on the grounds, for example, that the person wishes to receive the Eucharist kneeling or standing" (Redemptionis Sacramentum, no. 91). Those who receive Communion may receive either in the hand or on the tongue, and the decision should be that of the individual receiving, not of the person distributing Communion." I love the happy go lucky friendly atmosphere that both priests bring to the community. They're one of the big reasons why I decided to stick to this church. Thanks to them and all those involved with the RCIA program, restoring my faith (journey) has been smoother then expect it. I recommend this church for all that all looking to restore their faith, build relationships, as well as seeking a loving community. I thank the Saint Kilian Church for being open-minded, understanding, and patient with me. God Bless all!Edith Pelletan

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the professionalism and responsiveness of the Amada team that has worked with me to ensure that my husband, Duke, is well taken care of during the various phases of his illness. The field team of caregivers has been exceptional and coordinated very effectively by William. He has been accessible and empathetic to my needs throughout my interactions with Amada. My ability to understand the way the healthcare system works and the interface with long term insurances has been very dependent on the guidance of Scott and Caitlyn. Both have been keys to working through the "hoops" that we must jump through in this situation. The impact of this professional, friendly management and field group has been a smooth handling of the care requirements. I would recommend the Amada team to anyone who is in need of a professional, caregiving company.Linda Krum
If your senior has a very minimal situation and needs only basic care, then this service might be able to handle it. But in my experience they were in over their heads from the onset but were just too greedy to admit they were failing. All they wanted was insurance money. Their caregivers are generally well intentioned, but by no means trained to deal with anything other than physical illness, but not physical illness combined with mental illness. Unfortunately management did not understand or care about the upfront advice they were given regarding the implications of mental illness, and instead plowed ahead for months without accepting responsibility for lacking skills in the area which mattered most.Rebel Ely
Amada has been very helpful in finding good, responsible care givers for our 96 and 99 year old parents. Catalina was able to find care givers for us in an emergency, and worked all hours of the day and night to make sure we had someone appropriate for our parents' needs. Starla is now staying with our parents weekdays and has done a remarkable job at listening to them, assisting them where needed, letting them do things on their own when possible, and observing things that need to be handled in order to assure our parents a safe, comfortable and stimulating living environment. We are very grateful and would recommend Amada Senior Care.Mary Ann Schulte

Review Summary
UPDATE: Our mother died peacefully in her sleep this week. Everything I said below is truer than ever. Chapters has become family. As a loving family would do, they were devoted to our mother, accompanied us to medical appointments, came to know Mom's wants and needs, made her laugh and gave her comfort. Josh suggested hospice care (Sea Crest Hospice Services – they were wonderful) at just the right time, and Chapters worked with hospice to fill the last months of our mother's life with dignity, affection and joy. 🌻🌻🌻 My brother and I moved our mother to Chapters 6 months ago and we constantly marvel at what a great decision we made and how lucky we were to learn about this beautiful board & care. Josh & Renee Radabaugh and all of the caregivers treat every resident with respect and affection. Each resident has different needs – our mom has dementia, other residents may have had a stroke, chronic illness or just the desire to live in a lovely, well-maintained home where family and friends are virtually always visiting – Chapters meets all those needs and more, with holiday and birthday celebrations, the Radabaughs' effervescent young daughter and Delilah, one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet.Deborah Wities
Renee was an invaluable resource in helping us place our Dad in a high-quality RCFE. She met with us multiple times to get to know our family, our priorities, and the needs of our father. She screened and visited multiple facilities for us, making recommendations based on her expertise, which enabled us to focus on touring and interviewing only the facilities that would be a good fit for us. She continually educated us on the process so that we would know what questions to ask and what to look for. Throughout the process, she checked in with us regularly to answer questions, provide information, and offer loving support. We are currently in the process of moving our father to the home we selected. My family is so grateful to Renee for everything she has done for us and we highly recommend her services to anyone facing the difficult decision of placing a loved one into full time care!Carol Brown
For the first time, I had to be one of the responsible parties to help place a friend or family member into an assisted living solution. I am so fortunate to have been introduced to Renee of Chapters RCFE. Renee was very responsive, calling me back on a Sunday which was crucial because we had planned doctor appointments Monday 8 am. Renee listened to our story and related to my situation in a very reassuring manner. Her experience and caring were self-evident. Even though our situation was not an ideal solution due to proximity and current availability, Renee was invaluable in setting us on our course. Had our situation been a bit different then I would have used her care services with full confidence that I would be doing the best for my closest family friends. Thank you Renee!Scott Pringle
