My Business Administration Management class was amazing, I learned so much and I am carrying it with everywhere I go. Some people do not like it and so do. My instructor was so brilliant and I am so proud and thankful for him. With his support and all of SJVC workers, instructors, and all around everyone, I was able to get threw this pandemic we are still having and graduate with a 4.0 and being on the deans list. I am thankful for you all. Anyone who wants to go to college for Business or just in general, go to SJVC. They got you covered and they support your every step and decision. The classes offered here are great, however the financial aid office is really unorganized and gives you the run around. I have literary spent a whole semester running back and forth filling our paperwork and checking to see if they’ve received my financial aid application. I took several courses at Merritt, initially thinking it would be easy, just because it's a community college. I was VERY mistaken. The courses I took were rigorous and the instructors had high standards of expectation. The curriculum was no skate. My experience there was great and I would recommend this college to anyone. By the way, DePaul University in Chicago accepted my Merritt credits without blinking.Meb Bem

The website is so complicated and ambiguous it takes at good half hour to find what you need. When you finally get their the function usually doesn't work! The campus signs and layout are horrible. If you're going to Merritt for the first time, give yourself at least an extra hour to find your way around! For a higher institution of learning, someone needs to fix these issues…R Cole

Overall, an okay community college experience so far from 2019 to 2022 (I took some summers off). The registration process for me was a nightmare. OpenCC upon some of the other processes were buggy, nonfunctional, or unclear. Despite this, I have to give them slack as when I was applying they were revamping their websites significantly. There's a mixed bag of good and bad staff. Some professors will be insanely rude, not understanding, and sometimes not even lecture properly on the topic at hand. Other professors will be really kind, understanding, and actively willing to work with you. Always look up the professor on Rate My Professor!!! Eservices, Canvas, and Counseling are atrocious. Eservices has been buggy at times or down for multiple hours. Canvas is usually a decent online learning tool, but sometimes it can get buggy and is not always accessibility friendly (as seen by not having a dark mode for example). I recall a time when Canvas was down due to the host servers, which are owned by Amazon, were completely offline. Counseling is not always helpful in guiding you to where to go next, will sometimes not even answer calls nor emails, and can get really busy (even with the switch from the old building to the Welcome and Support Center). I suggest looking up some information yourself on ARCs website first before talking to counselors, such as course catalogs or what classes you might take for a specific associates degree. I wish that counseling would still give out PHYSICAL course catalogs, but it is what it is. Finance is usually okay for parking passes, but other services is like pulling teeth. Communication on what is going on campus varies from good to poor. An example of this is when the pandemic began around midterms and there was the report of two people being exposed to Covid on campus, which caused mass panic and multiple people just walking out of class. Parking can sometimes be an issue, so be prepared to walk a little bit. Also, you will need a parking pass from a kiosk or buy a parking pass permit for the semester. Bathrooms could use some work. I recall a time where after flushing the bathroom started to flood. Food choices were fairly solid. If you were going to Starbucks or Subway during lunch, lines would get long. Only food offered on campus now is either from the student store, the cafeteria, the Oak Cafe, or the few vending machines on campus. Off campus, there's quite a few food places around, such as Lis Mongolian BBQ, Chik Fil A, and In-N-Out. The bookstore has been unorganized in the past, but is relatively chilled back and clean nowadays. Be warned that some things will be overpriced, but that's normal for college. Also, don't be shocked if there's a hassle with ordered books or book returns for refunds.Emily “Emma Anne” Branecki

It's almost like 90% of the people who work here will be rude over the phone and tell you to do everything online. They have messed up most of my paperwork, resulting in me having to resubmit residency forms, application forms, proof of ID. Somehow they put me as out-of-state which includes a 900% markup per credit. I went from expecting a $150 bill for a single class and ended up with a $1200 bill. No one wants to help sort it out. No one wants to answer the phone. The website is difficult to navigate. Honestly, I have had a single positive experience with one person in Admissions, and everyone else has been pushy, rude, dismissive, and argumentative. I am considering switching to literally any other school in the district. My partner attends SCC and it's laughable how smoothly they handled his transition back to school, compared to mine. Edit: it should also be noted that I had applied to ARC 4 times since 2013 and never received a welcome letter. I had emailed asking why I applied and was not told anything, or emailed, called – nothing. I got no response. Called last month because I was at my wits end and I am told "I can't give you a student ID number because your application was DENIED." I asked why and she told me she couldnt tell me. I asked for a supervisor who immediately told me "we have the wrong SSN for you, so none of your applications were accepted because it didn't watch our records." My CORRECT SSN, was being rejected. In 8 YEARS NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THIS. Just like they didn't tell me I was listed as out of state, despite submitting residency information multiple times. This school is a JOKEI Illyria

The college is great..,.. the bookstore however is 1 star at best. The school district sub-contracted it out and the new facilitators understand that they have a built in market from people having to use their financial aid or other assorted vouchers from various Govt entities and as a result they practice poor customer service utilizing people that are quite adept at rapid fire litanies telling you why none of the delays or shortages are their concern or problem. In fact in my opinion 90% of their employees that deal with the public are nothing more than thugs and bully's. They take no responsibility for faulty instructions in how to use the new book site with vouchers and tell you that they are "saaaawrrrrry" when they tell you they can't locate your books and give you a date when they will be in. Once again, in my opinion, they are nothing more than petty tyrants and bullies that should have their contract terminated for lack of accountability on their part. I hate this school but I did get a good education. The teachers care about their students (most of them anyway), but everyone else just cares about money! When I came for summer o I had already been accepted and was excited to attend largely because of the low tuition costs. Then I get to course advising they tell me that I’m required to take a 1 credit hour class and if I take more than 15 credit hours I have to pay an extra $ 700 for each credit hour over! Either that or I would have to take 13 credit hours and be off track for graduation. Then I decided college wasn’t for me but I was so close to getting my associates I decided I’d switch my major to that and take two summer classes. I applied for graduation a little month late butveas charged an extra $50 on my application and the semester ends tomorrow and they still haven’t approved me! I emailed them and they are dodging the question and not being helpful. If you live in Kentucky I’d recommend going here because it’s cheap for you but if you’re out if state go somewhere else.Kylie Liefer

Murray State University is a fantastic regional university that offers many great undergraduate and graduate programs. Murray State offers many great benefits compared to other universities across Kentucky and Tennessee, such as smaller class sizes, friendly faculty and staff, decreased tuition and expenses, and a diverse student population. As a current undergraduate student and employee of Murray State University, I have been very satisfied with my overall experience at this university and would highly recommend this institution to anyone who wants to continue their higher education at an affordable yet educationally valuable school.Rachel Farley

I came here on a full tuition scholarship and spent most of my time on academic probation. Why? Because when I went to the enrollment adviser and told her that I was probably going to fail computer science, she told me that if I dropped the class that I would not be full time and not eligible for my scholarship. After I failed the class, she told me that I could have made up the credits over the summer. This tanked my GPA, but maybe she felt bad about the bad advice, which is why I probably kept my scholarship even though I was under the GPA. This school is basically a good place to go if you know what you want to do and just need a degree to do it. All in all, this is a decent school, but you have to be focused and advocate for yourself as advisement is sub par. If so, you will be fine. The clubs and activities are great. Food sucks! Dorms are decent. It could be better, but it could be worst.Danielle Lewis

It's not the worst school, but they just don't have anything that really justifies their tuition price. They're not significantly cheaper than other schools in the area and it's not a big name to people. The nursing program is supposed to be one of their best programs available but no one even talks about or recommends it. I work in healthcare in Wayne maybe 5 minutes from the campus and I feel it's pretty telling that every doctor I work with would sooner recommend Rutgers, Seton Hall or Montclair State. I never had much issue with any professors but the school's counseling and academic advisement teams are a joke. Overall, I don't think it would be a bad place to get a degree but probably wouldn't come back. Other schools nearby seem to have more to offer, a higher standard of quality, and most importantly they come with a name people want to hire from.Justin G

I would not suggest this college for people who are full time working adults. Very limited class times offered, hardly any night classes and 90% of classes are not offered online…even general education courses! They are also very unwilling to work with you if you cannot make a class during any of the times they offer. Most schools will allow you to take the class at another credited college and transfer the credits…WPU does not, not even for general education classes like math! I asked about taking three different classes at another school because of their limited class times and I got the same exact answer EVERY time…it must be taken at WPU. Why does a basic level math course have to be taken at WPU when you accepted my math class transfers from another school when I initially transferred in?!Jessica Henry

From my first experience there it is very overwhelming while it confusing to move through the campus and find were to go at first, once you visit continuously it becomes much easier. CBU is pretty rad, and I want to respond to what I've seen in a couple reviews here. The first of which is people saying the location in Riverside sucks. I'll admit Riverside is not super tight, but there is the mission inn and a drive in movie theater and a few other things which are pretty cool within a few minutes of campus. The best part of Riverside is it's less than an hour from the beach, an hour from the mountains, and hour from LA and 45 minutes from a few theme parks. So if you have a car and aren't super lazy, your weekends should be fun. And there's always fun stuff going on campus too, (dive in movie nights at the pool, intramural and NCAA sports games, concerts, carnivals etc.) so if you have a good attitude you can have fun hanging out on campus. People are saying CBU wants your money. Of course they do, so does every other university that is in business. However CBU will really work with you to help you afford the school. Get good grades, maybe go out for a sports team or the music department and you'll get even more money. You have to work for it though, they don't give out serious amounts of money to anyone. If your parents are in ministry (pastor/missionary/work full time at a church) you're in luck too cuz they have scholarships for that too. It's a Christian school… Yep. I wouldn't say intolerant though. You will be taught what they believe to be Christian values and you can only expect that. There's like 7,000 students too so I'm sure there are rude intolerant ones there too. I think you will find rude/intolerant people no matter where you go but it most definitely is not the essence of the student body. CBU has a uniquely welcoming and loving community, and that's something I've heard from Christians and non-Christians alike at the school. Both are welcome to come but both also are required to go to chapel and follow the rules. I don't agree with all the rules but most of them are a pretty reasonable balance of trying to give freedom to students and adhere to Christian principles (coming from a non-conservative Christian background). That's part of making the decision to go to a Christian university, and realistically it's probably what's best for you anyways. If anyone has anything bad to say about the food I don't know what world famous chef you had cooking for you your entire life before here. The caf has killer variety, Chik-fil-a is freaking Chik-fil-a, Wandas has great breakfast and the best steak quesadillas, and El-Monte is as good as Chipotle. CBU does give real world experience. I know as a business major there are some awesome professors that are all about real world experience. Dr. Weniger and Alderson are a couple that come to mind. You get out what you put into your classes and almost every single professor at the school is very open to spending time with you helping you out with homework or just life. Academics are pretty top tier, but professors do come and go and though most are great, some are much better than others, so do a little time looking round rate my professor if you want the best ones. CBU is great. Sure there are other universities that are great too (not to many that compare that are in Southern California though) but CBU is a well rounded school academically, socially and spiritually. No school/student body is perfect, that's just life, but CBU is a solid choice to spend 4 years growing academically and spiritually into who you are going to be the rest of your life.Jake Roque

Okay, so I went to this school originally considering a nursing degree. It's hard to have many nice things to say about this school.. The school looks nice, but the neighborhood area is crap. You have to drive kinda far to see or do anything nice. It's hardly in Riverside, CA. Feel more like Norco, armpit of California. They put most of their students in cheap housing. Much of it was temporary when I was there. Other housing was old folks homes. Weird cheap, and kinda gross. The major feature of this school is this: They want your money. That's all. It's nothing spectacular in any way, and based on the price, it's a really bad deal. They "award" small scholarships to practically any student for any reason. They try to bring in a bunch of students through their music school. A music degree is NOT WORTH 100k- 150k of debt. And please remember folks, if everybody gets a scholarship, it's not actually a scholarship. THINK about it.. They just want your attention and your money. ALSO, Please be aware they will be raising the tuition on you every year, by lots of money! If you start at 30-35k, You will probably end at 40-45k annually. It's probably costing something around or over 40 or more thousand per year now. And YOU WILL pay more than you think by the end of the year. It's a Christian school, which is fine if you're a Christian. They are relatively intolerant conservatives though. Very serious/ oppressive Christian all over the place. Many of the students are sheltered, and having moved on to a regular university, I can tell you it doesn't represent the real world experience, or normal people, for the most part. Regarding this: Don't bother going here unless you're a rich serious sheltered Christian. If that's what you value, then maybe you'll like this place. Some of the people are fairly friendly, and the food in the cafeteria was good WHEN I was there. That more than a year ago. Some of the teachers were alright as well. I mostly took science classes, for reference. In summary, if you're not a young Christian who has no desire for real-world experience,then don't go here. The price is so not worth it! It's an institution for profit! Go to your local community college and earn entrance to a great University! Even Ivy league schools are looking to replace young dropouts with students that did well in their community colleges! It's just not worth it. If you're a thinking person, you'll start hating this school not long after you get there. NOT WORTH ITMichael D. Bear

I loved all 4 years at this school! As a freshman, I lived in the dorms and met my group of closest friends that I still hang out with to this day. I loved the food and had to be careful with dessert in the cafeteria otherwise I would have packed on the calories. The school does a great job of setting up events that target every student and gives great deals for other off-campus events like cheap Lakers tickets, cheap tickets to theme parks, and other giveaways. I am Mexican and I have never once felt like I was discriminated against at this school, if anything there are plenty of people at this school who make an effort to talk about racial injustices among students. As far as the incident in Ontario, I just want to say that you can find that level of ingorance at any university and even more so outside of that setting. Two girls made a stupid decision to throw a drink on a guy and they happened to be CBU students. If I’m being real here, CBU does not turn many people away when it comes to the application process, so any person who has higher than a 2.5 GPA will most likely get in. CBU does not necessarily focus on whether you are a Christian or not because they’d rather have you here at this school than at a school where the chance of hearing the gospel is much lower. Now back to the point, CBU is honestly such a great school and if you’ve ever visited, you notice right away that the atmosphere is one that you can’t find in many other places. People treat you with love, respect, understanding, and kindness. CBU is a school that truly looks to serve the students in any way possible and that’s the truth. Don’t let others who are are upset about what happened in Ontario tear down the idea of coming to this school because you will definitely see that the number of students who will treat you with love and respect far outweighs the ones who would pour a drink on you for sitting during the national anthem. I live near this college and me and my wife and kids love to take walks threw it. It's so beautiful and peaceful. Also you have campus police always around so you feel safe at all times. I'm a male, late 20's student at USF, and this has been my experience: 1) Rigorous – Having had a decent amount of life experience before coming here, I expected it to be easy. I was wrong. As someone who has always been good at math, the math classes were all challenging and required a lot of time and effort to do well in. The same goes for their science classes. I had attended another, easier university before coming here, and the difference was huge. 2) Political/Religious – Being a catholic university in the middle of a very liberal city, there is a good chance that someone will at some point try to shove religion or liberal politics down your throat, with a higher probability of the latter. As someone who doesn't care for politics, I'd prefer if they were left out of the classroom. 3) Small class sizes – All but one of my classes have been under 30 people, with many being less than 20. There are personal, 1-on-1 classes for music lessons in guitar, piano, vocals, etc. There are ample staff to handle any problem and any and all issues I've had were solved quickly. Compare this to a state school with class sizes in the 100's and there is really no comparison. 4) Expensive – With an annual price tag of about 50k, plus the astronomically high San Francisco cost of living, it is incredibly expensive to go to school here. I came here largely because I had a full-ride scholarship, and would have seriously considered other options if I didn't. 5) Amenities – There are several large libraries, excellent quiet study areas, private music rooms with instruments, and the campus itself is quite beautiful. With the tuition comes a free public transit card and gym access, at a very nice gym. 6) Overall quality – The quality of the school overall is very high. I can't say how it compares to the likes of top schools like Stanford, but many of USF's professors have come from those big name schools. The combination of talented, intelligent professors and personal 1-on-1 attention make it a great place to learn and study.Tyler D

I transferred out of the University of San Francisco real quick. The school is expensive, the education is ok but the material is too easy, and the social life is garbage unless you're undoubtedly liberal. The professors were very nice and helpful, but anyone from the administration building is out to get you, ultimately this place is just a big money pit. They'll find a way to fine you and take your money even if you haven't done anything wrong.Alex Douthat

Beautiful campus in the heart of the city but otherwise, a school filled with professors that don’t really care, poor accommodations for students with disabilities, extremely expensive, campus police focuses more on giving you parking tickets and people’s conduct rather than ensuring vehicles are not broken into. My daughter just graduated from Cal U. She had an excellent experience and enjoyed her 4 yrs there. She has continued to a masters program at Pitt and has had no trouble finding work or getting accepted into other programs. All universities function in a similar way and it's up to the student to take advantage of all the opportunities that the school offers. Very nice but small University. Very clean and there were lots of campus police around. The cafeteria was limited on options. They could definitely do better with that. Probably the worst options from any of the 10-15 campuses we've visited. Only other downside is it's literally in the middle of nowhere. Nothing is around. I believe this is a good school. I think I got a good graduate level education here. The tuitions are reasonable. Being in a less urban area, it is usually easier to find parking than the university where I completed my undergraduate degree. This school only employed extremely right wing, openly racist, often under-qualified staff when I was attending from 2003 until my graduation in 2006. The accreditation from this school was not recognized by any State schools or other colleges, so I had to remain at this bigoted institution unless I wanted to spend the time and money to start my education from scratch elsewhere. A very nice campus in the OC. I went on a tour for counselors here about a year ago. This is a nice place if you want small classes and a nice living enviroment. Your professors really get to know you and you get plenty of connections before you graduate. Also, plenty of study abroad opportunities. I think that there is no actual reviews of students. Just a bunch of paid 5 stars with blank reviews. Looks 🐟🐟🧐. People ask questions when spending thousands on a non accredited college. IVC is just down the street and it’s cheaper. School like this bankrupt all the time. And they make fake promises like job placement.G

HOT Mess. Vaccination Mandate rescinded. Jeopardizing everyone's health in hopes that more students will attend. Butchering of Food Security Program to make it unusable and pointless. Campus construction underway. ZERO signage. There are NO services available after 5. You can't even access the cafeteria area. If you're taking an evening class I hope you bought your own food, that doesn't need reheating or you can afford to buy something off site. Day 1 Air conditioning failures. Water fountains dysfunctional already. SMC is not at all ready to have students back on campus. And SMC does NOT care. Or rather SMC CARES… ALL ABOUT PROFITS. The campus here at SMC has gone quite the transformation in the past few years. The Science building and the Welcome center are completely new and look great. The only problem with the campus is the parking and lane infrastructure needs an upgrade. The lines of cars around campus affect the local community in a negative way. As a local resident, I think the campus should invest in buying more parking and perhaps adding turning lanes. Ubers used to block Pico for blocks but they fixed that. The campus is beautiful and even boasts a fourth of July fireworks show in the summers!! I just wish they would invest in the local traffic and help us regular folks out.Madie Parbaz

I am a homeless student. I have had many issues getting my financial aid money. Since the semester started I wake up on the street in tears. I feel very defeated with this process. They withhold aid for weeks on end after classes have already started. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL! They recently had an audit and I gave all bad reviews mainly because of financial aid. I’m exhausted, not motivated to engage in my full time course load. This is why some people make bad decisions in life. A system that does NOT have my best interest as a priority. There's a reason this was the highest ranking Christian school in the latest US News and World Reports rankings. It's a fantastic Christian school, a fantastic liberal arts school in general, a genuine college community. Everyone I know who went there left Westmont as a gloabal-thinking, critically-minded, erudite individual. This isn't a place where kids go to college to party, skip classes, or sit in a 100-300 person lecture hall. I never had a class over 45 students and most of my classes were more like 10-20. The professors here are brilliant men and women, many of whom could easily be teaching at prestigious research institutions but who instead chose to contribute to the wonderful, thoughtful liberal arts program at this school. I loved every minute of my Westmont experience. I'm a better person for it, and I have better friends and mentors from my college years because it's truly a community that cares – about their peers, about the world, and about asking smart questions about life, faith, and our own imperfections. This is not a Bible-thumper college. It's a high quality liberal arts college that hearkens back to the foundations of Christian renaissance style education. It's a very challenging school academically. If you are lucky enough to get in here and have the means, don't think about it twice. Go. I had a full scholarship to USC and chose Westmont instead. It's turned out to be the best decision of my life. The gorgeous Montecito location is just a wonderful bonus!Rachel Weeda

VISITOR warning! dont believe there lies about it being an open campus. It's a small school and everyone knows everyone. A visitor will stick out. Trying to enjoy lunch in there cafeteria a few years ago brought security and interigration of why I'm there. Security gave my info to the vice-president or dean or someone who sent me threatening certified mail and then contacted SB city college who had security waiting outside my class! SB city college said "we're sister schools" An attorney said it would cost 10K to find out who was lying about me and the attorney said Westmont was constantly being sued. Transferred to Westmont from a state university, and I've never regretted the decision. Classroom sizes are small, allowing you to learn more directly from the professors instead of T.A.'s (common in large universities). Also, the relationships you build with the professors are definitely powerful for networking after graduation and finding jobs. Two things I did not like at Westmont College. 1. Dining Commons – only one choice to dine on campus, not really allowing much of an option. They do serve a large variety of food choices, but are still the monopoly on campus. 2. Tuition costs are ridiculous. Thank God for scholarships and grants, because taking this tuition cost on loans is terrifying.Andrey Kitsen

I applied to the nursing program in 2021 and was not accepted- which was fine- but the call I received from the Admissions department is what really left a bad taste in my mouth about this school. The woman who called to tell me that I didn’t get in did so with the purpose of “selling” me another major. Her words: I don’t really see you getting into another nursing program in the state… your grades just aren’t high enough… but we do have other good bachelors programs. Outside of her statement being rude and unnecessary, it’s also untrue as I finished my master’s with a 4.0. Yes, I have a masters degree and this admissions person tried to sell me a BA in psychology or health admin. A degree that would be literally useless to me. I was more offended by the blatant attempt to make a quick buck than I was by her talking down to me in such a way. Needless to say I didn’t enroll here, but I did get into 2 other nursing programs in the Bay Area. I guess my grades were “high enough.”AJ E

We went to San Rafael to get our covid vaccines today. Afterwards we ordered food from Sol restaurant to pick up. My daughter had attended Dominican University about 18 years ago. They have beautiful lawns On campus, with picnic tables and trees and flowers over there, so we went and had our lunch there. It was beautiful as usual. Squirrels running up-and-down the trees and people walking their dogs and jogging…. The trees swaying back-and-forth with the breeze… And with me with great company, my husband and my Mom. Once Upon a Time, Domincan was where all the CA Catholic School Girls went for college….there was also an impressvie International contingent…Chances were that an aunt, cousin, sister attended the all girl school before. Held in very high esteem and the good Sisters were an impressive lot. The campus was charming, nicely appointed and safe. Time move on and the school went Coed and DC became a semi commuter school.Kerry On

ASBN Nursing Accelerated BSN Program (16 months): The Truth. There are no lectures, just tests. They tell you to buy a ton of books, give you slides with audio in place of lectures (and some of them are pretty bad where the speaker doesn't speak English well or is reading from a book). Pros: They have a "block" system which is fast paced, and you only have to go on campus roughly 25% of the time for tests, labs, or reviews a couple of days before the test. Most courses work like this: you get a 50 page syllabus and are told to read 25-30 chapters (essentially like 2 text books in total) and the tests really don't stick to what the syllabus says they are testing on. This creates students to have test anxiety and not know what to study until 2 days before the test; which they cram and have to pass with a 90%. Pro: they say you need 90% on exams, but you get a couple of chances to retake it (also you get group exams that give you 3-4 percentage boosts when you take the group tests. Pro: some of the instructors are great, but some are absolute garbage–hit or miss. Pro: It's a decent price, and the facilities are decent, but the financial aid people never give you straight answers–it's about $65K for the whole program. Don't get caught up in the confusing price sheets they give you. Cons: the Clinical rotations schedules are always late, and the Clinical Department that arranges the schedule is constantly loosing your paperwork for immunizations and physicals. Don't think they are considerate with your time as you literally find out 7-10 days prior to having to work 12 hour shifts at hospitals across town. The recruiters are absolute and complete liars. They get paid to get you to enroll so they will lie and say anything to get you to attend. They say this program is manageable for people who work–no way unless you have a flexible schedule at the last minute. Second BIG CON: you do not receive grades!!! When you graduate good luck getting into an NP program with transcripts that say Pass/Fail; they claim to give you a letter to compensate for that, but some grad schools will not accept it. Hit or miss is the labs there too; sometimes they teach practices that you find out are never used or out of date. Another big CON: bragging about the NCLEX pass rates is a complete fraud, as they won't let you graduate to take the NCLEX unless you pass the ATI exam with 90%. That ensures their numbers are high. The support system there is an absolute joke too; they lock their doors to the instructors offices and it's a "CLOSED DOOR" program. They act like students have plague. Good program if you can read from books and learn yourself.Arnell Cornfelt

(For Reference: I am a nontraditional student, and currently enrolled in the program.) This program is an amazing experience. I highly recommend it to any potential future students. Roseman University does everything in their power to set you up for success. The university guides the student through their program with the help from the faculty, current students, and alumni. By utilizing all three resources, Roseman University manages to adapt and continually grow. The faculty go out of their way to make sure they are available for the students. Many of the faculty stay way past office hours to answer questions during the blocks they teach. Also, the faculty become your mentors throughout the program. They are there to answer any question, and help direct you for what comes after Roseman. I am consistently in contact with my mentor. Having a mentor is hands down my favorite part of Roseman University. Roseman University encourages the students to learn for each other. From day one, Roseman gathers the individual strengths of each student to make well rounded teams. The teams do not compete against each other. The teams are there to help teach and guide each other. Plus, who doesn't like an automatic built-in study group? You will also have opportunity to work side by side with some of the alumni during your rotations. Many alumni still live and work in Las Vegas. They will know exactly what you are going through, and will offer you great advice. Overall, if you are looking for a great university to continue your path in Pharmacy….I can't think of many better than Roseman University.Cory Wages

My advice STAY AWAY! This school pretends to care about quality but the results are very poor. Don't believe me, ask around….anyone who gets treatment here is often told they will complete treatment in 2 years but it always goes on for 3 or more. Once you are that far in you are almost trapped and to go to another orthodontist to get your kids treated correctly will cost you double. They don't offer you any refund for giving your child poor care. My child was in treatment there for over 4 years and in the end I told them to take the braces off because we were burnt out so after all that time he still didn't get the smile that we were promised. I went to another "real" orthodontist, not a "student" and found out that we would need another year or more to fix everything they had not fixed. Don't buy into the fact that their fee's are low, you will be wasting your time and money.Micheal Marchesi

Lovely campus, with almost 9000 acres! Huge trees and grand lawns frame Gothic architecture which themselves house state-of-the-art labs and lecture halls. Duke's research grants are famous for being generous, even for undergraduate students. Keep in mind, though, that the admissions rate is very very low, so you probably won't get in.Ameya Majmudar

I am surprise people are voting Holy Family University 4 or 5 stars. I guess these rating are NOT based on the quality of the education. AS A PARENT who toured the campus with my child during an open house , I felt that Holy Family can't compete with students from the other schools in the area. Yes, they offer small class sizes ,personal attention, but what else? You don't here a lot about Holy Family graduates in Philadelphia or its surrounding area. Villanova, La Salle, and St.Joseph's are stealing the spotlight from other catholic colleges. Upenn, and Drexel are the large private schools. Temple is a large public school. You could find graduates from those 6 colleges working in MANY different fields around Philadelphia. What is Holy Family's problem? I think they have a problem standing out from the crowd. Like someone has mentioned, Holy Family is too calm. They are afraid to push boundaries, try new things, and compete with the other schools. The school is too relax. It's a calm peaceful university, that DON'T make things happen, but instead THEY WAIT for things to happen. Holy Family is VERY similar to Rosemont ,Cabrini and Gwynedd Mercy, three other failing colleges in the area. They don't have a strong alumni network and programs with a long legacy of success. You CAN'T BLAME this on the school's small size or the school's late founding, 1954. MOST OF THE BLAME SHOULD be place of Holy Family's administration. Not much is done in the president's office. You hear about their nursing program, but you also hear about better nursing programs in the area. What makes Holy Family Different? Most online reviews are commenting on the grading system. I don't understand why this university is hurting their students. Let's be honest, most students at Holy Family were not bright in high school (look at admission stats), so why would the school want to change the system. This grading system should NOT be an incentive for students to work harder. Based on everything I said, I would not recommend Holy Family. If you want be in the philly area, go to a good school. The worst university ever. Do not waste your time and money sending your child here. They do not practice Catholic Values At all. The instructors are not even qualified to teach, they do not teach anything. They teach everything from power point that student already have copies of. Most of the instructors do not have PH.D's. If students have problems, the faculty sides with instructors not helping students at all. The university is overrated. The name is just a cover up to attract Christian students. Since transferring to Holy Family University in 2014 I've come to realize that this was one of the best decisions I have made in my collegiate career thus far. I have never been more satisfied with this university in terms of education, faculty/staff, and the students I have met and ultimately became close with. Holy Family is more than a University, it is a place that, should you put your mind to it, can open doors for your career and future. As graduation quickly approaches I look back on these past two years and realize that the education I gained, not only scholastically but emotionally and spiritually, will be the the ground work in creating a successful future for myself. When I first started signing up for my MBA I advised them that I had just graduated with my bachelors degree. My goal was to start August 5, and I submitted all my necessary paperwork and cooperated as such. When it got to my transcripts I was advised I could not start because the conferral date was not on the transcripts. The enrollment specialist told me to reach out to my previous school. I did and it was a hassle. I called the enrollment specialist at Capella to advise of the updates to only find out that Capella’s registrar team had already been in contact with my school. I wanted to start on the 5th as it was very discouraging to go through the process to be turned away at last minute. 1). Total waist of time as I took time out of my day to complete orientation and do what they advised of me. 2) I asked to speak with a supervisor who was very vague and could not provide the information needed. 3) I again called Capella to try and escalate the situation, but the manager never returned my call. I feel as if they had me sign up because they were the ones to get paid for each student to enroll and failed to educate me properly in the beginning, which is very misleading and discouraging. Since no one wanted to comply and take responsibility I will be escalating this to the BBB as this is not my fault and I should had been able to start in the promised time given and should have been educated properly.Tearra McCray

The worst university ever! They made me waste my time and my money from the first day, every time I communicated with them each counselor told me something different, and more than a month passed and I did not have an accurate answer on the status of my application, after a month a person from human resources let me know that I had to do my transcripts equivalency again on another website because the one I had already sent twice to them waiting for they review it (and that they themselves told me it was okay to do it that way) was not valid for them to take me into account to start the course this past October. 1- First time the transcripts were not encrypted, so they asked my to ask the institution they send it again but encrypted this time and I did it and sent it again. And after that they let me know that didn’t work for them. So I wasted my time, my money and above all the opportunity to start on the desired date. A very bad job of the staff. Very bad communication with the students who want to start there, and they also contradict each other. They all say different things and waste your time. They are also very rude. I hope that no one has this bad experience, nor misses the opportunity to start the course on the date they planned, and due to the horrible work of other people you lose opportunities in life.Claudia Espinosa

From the beginning of my Master's level school search, Capella stood out. I had a great recommendation from a friend already, but in researching complete online programs to work with my schedule, Capella checked all of the boxes I needed. I had a wonderful experience with my admissions counselor and continue to have great interactions with all communication. I am happy with all faculty thus far and feel that I am learning exactly what I need for my future as a school counselor. The course load is what I expected it to be and the time I spend on classwork is time well spent. I feel very confident that I will be prepared to enter the field of school counseling when I graduate. The very first thing Capella does once you are enrolled is to start you in a class to help navigate your program and get you familiar with the online format. This helped immensely and calmed my nerves for entering into a graduate program online. I feel very well cared for and have not had a negative experience yet! Worst school ever! Do not send your child here unless it's the last thing you have left to do. I attended here for one year and said NEVER AGAIN! For one the admissions process is horrific with fees for EVERYTHING! Secondly the financial aid ladies are rude and incompetent. Thirdly the dorms are old as hell and students deserve better! I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay there. The dorms always have problems with air conditioning and the wifi is a joke. Fourth the maintenance people who come to your dorm to clean DONT CLEAN!!!! They spray some stuff and lift the toilet seat up and walk out. And you saw that I didn't type wipe anything down so it stays dirty! Fifth the cafeteria people have attitudes and act like they can't do anything when they work for the students NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!!! There's one guy named johnny that works there who is a manager and he locked me inside of a gate in the grill and nothing was done about it. He was rude and disrespectful then denied it because he's not man enough to admit when he's wrong. Sixth! The police here are good for nothing because if something was to happen the head chief will laugh and say well what did you do to MANY OF THE WOMEN THAT HAVE BEEN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED HERE AND ONCE AGAIN NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!!! I'm a veteran using my GI Bill, (only relevant for the perspective of fellow vets) anyway, the professors are amazing, they really want their students to succeed and will make themselves available to you, they are very understanding, and the way they teach is easy for their students to grasp information. Keep in mind, this is for serious students who show up everyday and act like they in turn want to learn. I've had a great experience my first semester here as far as my courses are concerned. The cafeteria food is good too. Onto the cons: the traffic enforcement ("police") suck. I took a class at the time of day when the parking lots are for the most part vacant, and I received a ticket for parking in the staff section EVEN THOUGH it was an accident (I didn't see the sign) but also that I was literally just ONE parking spot over from the commuting students. Sheesh. Also, the staff do put holds on your account for a lot of little things, I don't get a rude vibe from the staff but they aren't very helpful at resolving your problems, at the very least slow to solve them.Claudia Davis

At Fayetteville State University, I received three degrees including two graduate degrees. I have several mentors and received a valuable education. However, the support staff leaves something to greatly be desired. I have been hung up on several times, no answers to the phones, no replies to e-mails. Then, they blame me for not continuously calling back to get a hold of someone. The customer service level is horrendous and they really do not care about the students or their needs. They are incredibly disrespectful and sadly makes me feel unappreciated as a student. I wish the students and faculty the best of luck as they try to overcome the lack of service and poor support from their "support" staff. Their condescending and lack of compassion are heard loud and clear every time you call or e-mail. If you want a quality education and great faculty, you will find it here, but I pray you never have to work with the support staff especially in the Bursar's Office.Samantha Lauer

Extremely disorganized and do not care about you or your problem unless you virtue signal. They don’t even pay some of their employees who handle sensitive documents. School has only self interest; considering they have multiple offices not even located on campus (they’re embarrassed being there). They can’t keep a straight and secure staff, it’s really an embarrassment to the community. They even asked for more funding last election with 4 series of funding already. They’re in more debt than they can shake; thank God for the federal bail out money they took from the rest of America. Community college is something most people take for granted. As a Yuba College alumni, I received a high-quality education at a cheap price. What most people don’t know is that the units you take here can transfer to a 4-year university, which is extremely helpful since it’s expensive. Another aspect that makes Yuba College an excellent choice is the quality of education. In university, you are one of hundreds of students and here I got to interact with my professors, easily join clubs, and was part of programs that wanted to help students advance in their careers. my two nieces have had nothing but issues. The staff does not follow thru. loses their paperwork all the time. The Professors do not make an effort to help the students. when the Dam was going to break and we were all evacuated. She had a final, but had no access to a computer and the professor refused to let her make it up and failed her. We went to the dean and no one would do anything about it. That was just wrong. Counselors set them up in all the wrong classes. Takes to long to get out of there.Mary Anderson
