A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . I think cause it a community college a lot of them are mad cause they can't teach in a four year college through out of the community colleges in NY LaGuardia is the best . That being said she is the third professors that I had that sleeps walks through their class and I had another one that did something that weren't cool and I didn't show up for her class and never got an apology from her. Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. I took Acting & Gymnastics classes growing up as a kid @ KCC; along with taking other performing arts enrichment classes @ Brooklyn College also while growing up, although Brooklyn College wasn't affiliated with my high school like KCC was. KCC has a great campus for a CUNY two-year college (one of the nicest in the CUNY system being right on Manhattan Beach) and is also the partner CUNY institute with my High School alma mater, Edward R. Murrow whom it operates the CollegeNow! program with. I spent my Junior and Senior years at Murrow taking KCC college-level courses taught by both Murrow faculty, and visiting KCC faculty (at Murrow) as well as commuting to the KCC campus from Murrow for additional classes that could only be taught on-site @ the KCC campus. It was EXTREMELY academically enriching to be able to enjoy a college level curriculum whilst still being in High School; and that was due directly to KCC's collaboration with my high school. My GPA went up as a result of the CollegeNow! program during my last two years at Murrow as did my SAT scores. I have KCC to thank for that. 👍👏👏👏👏Ben Schaeffer

Kingsborough CC has a very nice entertainment program, well-run and well-sited, with both indoor and outdoor venues. This year's 4-part post-pandemic return to their July outdoor series has been a real winner for the 3 weeks of it so far, with decent weather enhancing the winning combination. Performers have commented on how well-received they are when they come to perform there, from an enthusiastic staff that really respects their art, to receptive audiences. That reputation has allowed audiences to see a number of top-notch acts more than once there, as the artists appreciate that respectful treatment. There have been other events there, all of which were interrupted by COVID since it came around, so there will be needed time to get those back on track. There are cautionary protocols in place even now: those attending must provide proof of vaccination, with masks optional. Not sure of masking will or will not be required once the indoor events resume, but it certainly appears that the staff has kept up-to-date with everything necessary.N H Tanner

The only reason ppl go here and are willing to grossly pay for an education is the location. I went to school here and will say it is far overpriced for the education you are given. Some staff are great and really care about the education they are providing. Others just read off a powerpoint and have no interest except for a paycheck. Pace is expensive, doesn't help the students getting internships and when the students get one on their own, Pace takes the credit. After graduating, the students don't get a job. One of their alumni just got a good job and due to she owes money, they don't give her transcripts and are retaining her title. Is not possible for Pace to help when the students really need help? This is a good school. However, the quality is almost identical to the CUNY school I attended before coming here that costed significantly less. Additionally, the lack of diversity (granted, because of how this is a private school) is also lacking. I really can’t explain what I went through with the staff, so unprofessional and the attitude is horrible I always try to be as nice as possible but the way they treat people is awful. They literally screamed at my mom who does not speak any English for not having her vaccine card with her although she had picture of the vaccine but her phone was dead they yelled at her and did not try to help her enter the building at all. Once I came and approach them they was talking to me with awful attitude and yelling at me!!!!! although I respect the policy but they always could help in situation like this making everything 10X harder and unprofessional behaviour. One of its kinda school Historic place as it is more than 100 year old school CUNY’S most iconic campus so far As building is quite old, construction is going on still it’s worth taking a walk here Lush green gardens and beautiful library plus awesome walkways and old concert hall and other buildings. If I could, I would easily give York a ZERO RATING! NOTHING against the professors I’ve come across, but the school, policy and registrar/bursar staff and policy are ridiculous. I have been charged, during the pandemic I might add FULL. I clearly withdrew from summer classes and was literally ONE day passed the 100% refund date. After, I spoke continuously with bursar who kept sending me back to registrar. ALL professors assisted in submitting documentation showing I DID NOT CONTINUE in the ONLINE courses. Although I submitted required, and accurate paperwork documenting the WHY I could not complete the summer session, this greedy school is charging me ONE HUNDRED PERCENT for courses that their own records reflect that u withdrew from. Again, let me reiterate this was at the time of a Pandemic. I am now not able to register or do anything until this balance is paid. I think this school is deplorable, too much of the staff is unprofessional and not helpful At all! They’re dismissive and there is never any considerations or flexibility offered. If you can, avoid this school. Majority of the staff are unprofessional, lazy and do not seem to take their job seriously. Imagine emailing your professor and days, or even up to week plus passes by with no response. Some professors to avoid, Darrell Morris- extremely unprofessional acts as if he's paying us to be there and not the other way around. Lovely campus and easily seen from the street. The school is close to public transportation. The campus houses a high school and an elementary school. The grounds can use some work and some more public art installations. The cemetery is gated but plenty of history ardorns the head stones. The indoor exhibit of The Tuskegee Airmen is worth visiting the campus. The stundent art galley is the best. Ask security for accessibility for people with disabilities. Security at the gate will ask of I. D. He is very pleasant and awesome with directions. Most staff/faculty are helpful too. Better to get assistance from the more experienced staff. As F-1 visa international student, I would say that ASA College is a great place for our educational and career goals. Professors are responsive and very collaborative as well as helpful. During my education in ASA College I was able to make friends with students from different parts of world. The most of them are my lifetime friends now. Classes are not too big. Therefore, providing a tremendous opportunity to study and excel your knowledge and/or skills. However, BMCC also suffers from a large rise in remedial education, lack of freshman retention, and overcrowding. Due to its larger base of capital compared to most other two-year colleges, expansion of new campuses during the rebuilding of Fiterman Hall was possible. I am starving, housing insecure, financially unstable, and unable to make ot to class or properly study because of financial struggle, inability to be alone a place quiet to study because they won't house, and depression. In the end they want to fail you out so you can pay them fees later, I guarantee. WORST.SCHOOL.EVER!! I hope they close down for good VERY SOON! There's no motivation or inspiration at all in this school whatsoever. The counselors and teachers are horrendous!! For every 5 teachers there, only 1 teacher is decent! They hold back their students far too long from achieving their true potential and don't even get me started on the atrocious time consuming and full of adversity enrollment process!! If you're still stuck taking a remedial/non credit class; instead of being able to register online LIKE IT SHOULD BE FOR EVERY STUDENT, you're instead forced to go all the way to Valhalla to register for classes EVERY semester until you've passed ALL their pointless non credited classes! Very excruciating and appalling for any student! Their counselors are always putting down students, not one can potentially uplift you when it comes to succeeding in school. Miserable place. Professors don’t care. They have people who don’t speak English teaching the math department. Those in the financial building are miserable, uninformative and rude. Nobody communicates!! Financial Tells you one thing and the counselors say something different. Totally unorganized and made my college experience a miserable one. They prioritize minorities and even questioned me on why I’m not on financial aid. Teachers WILL fail you if you don’t agree with their POLITICAL views. Community college is supposed to be affordable, but they manage to shake you down for every little penny. I was pretty skeptical about going back to school during this plandemic and now that I’m back in school, I wish I would’ve saved my money. The website says lab classes will be conducted online but it’s actually remote. If you want to pay full tuition for a partial education, then this is the place for you. The people who work in the administrative building specifically the Bursar’s office don’t care. The administrative building is physically closed so the only way to communicate is via email. i had a great experience at LINC and i would recommend this course to anyone looking to become a CNA. I had a pretty full schedule with work so I really appreciated all the available class times to choose from. Our evening instructor Ms Cecilia and Ms Stephanie is more than great they are AWESOME They are very knowledgeable and makes the class enjoyable. Front staff Ms Angie was always very friendly and helpful every time I went to practice, someone was always in the office—and i practiced for the few weeks after finishing class to prepare for the state examination I felt that the training I received here helped me to successfully PASS my state exam on the first try!Natalie Green

My teacher Mrs. Staphane and my other instructor at Linc Health Training Center, were professional, knowledgeable and were there to answer all my questions if I didn’t understand anything during my CNA course. I know they will do the same for you because they want their students to understand the lesson and succeed. The best part is, getting hands on training for your skills. The schedule for classes are flexible. You can get a class schedule that will work well for you. I highly recommend this school to anyone that wants to do CNA. Wish I could review higher but am absolutely shocked at the lack of support this school gives to their alumni. My daughter graduated with her masters. Her last class was August 10, 2019. Columbia did not provide her with her transcript for her to apply for her license for over 70 (SEVENTY) days! She was unable to even APPLY to take her licensing exam for 70 days, and actually longer because now the state she lives in has to process that paperwork! Nursing residency starts November 11. My daughter is still waiting for the paperwork to get processed so she can apply to take the licensing exam. She may not be able to become a nurse until after March 2020 – 7 months after taking her last class from this school. Absolutely ridiculous. Think twice before attending this school! My best friend of 42 years is a thriving and active member of the Atria Riverdale Community. Following considerable research including reviews, professional referrals, etc., on March 11, 2021 the unanimous decision of friends and loved ones, Atria Riverdale was selected. Atria Riverdale received excellent recommendations from various personal friends who were familiar as visitors. The amenities are lovely. The setting is warm and comforting. The administrative staff are attentive and responsive to concerns, issues, recommendations, and requests. Atria Riverdale is genuinely an impressive community setting with diverse staff, services, residents, and activities. My friend and others refer to residents as “neighbors.” That serves to promote a sense of community; rather than institution. My friend has been a resident for less than two months, however, I fully anticipate that things will continue to progress in the best possible manner. We did our best to select the most appropriate setting, Atria Riverdale is definitely the right “fit” for my dearly loved friend. Five star rating requires more time. I would not recommend this place even if my loved one can care for him or herself. My mother who had Dementia was a resident and within two month’s she sustained a fall and had to be hospitalized. She was often left numerous times wandering or would be sitting soiled with urine soaked diapers! and without bathing or clean clothes!! It was only when I started to visit her every day that they would shower my mom and act like they were doing their job! The staff before was way better than the staff they so call have now director Lauren and assist director Deirdre are awful!! They don’t attend to the needs of the residents it’s all about the money and forget wellness they don’t do nothing ! How many times my mother complained and cherchill and shenika Martin did nothing! They don’t need to be operating at all! Do not bring your loved one’s to this facility.T P

I recently moved my mother across the country from Southern California to the Atria Riverdale after my fathers passing. I can honestly say that they care. Thank so much to the Atria Riverdale Staff, particularly Lissette, Natonya and Ann, for your amazing and conscientious as well as respectful care of my mother. My father has been at Pinnacle for 2 yrs in long term care. His RN floor Mgr, Chris is caring and notifies me of any concerns. The RN nurse, Helen, cares for him with compassion and professionalism. The floor Aides care for him with dignity. Colin, Recreation Director facilitates my weekly video chats with my dad bc I do not live close enough to visit as often as I would like. If there is a delay in the call Colin will make sure that someone eventually makes the video call. He has been taken to Red Lobster for lunch, the outdoor patio, to a staff fashion show, Religious services and recently I received a video of dad enjoying an outdoor BBQ. I truly appreciate the care, affection and entertainment Recreation provides. Donna, his Social Worker returns my call, emails promptly. The Cons: you could spend your day calling his floor and no one answers, room floor sticky and dirty and his floor needs updated beds. He will not be using salon services again for a haircut bc they only seem to buzz all his hair completely off even after asking them to leave it longer. The staff at Pinnacle are hard working and care. I appreciate ALL they do. Thank you.B. R.

My sister has been a resident at Pinnacle Multicare for nearly two years. She expresses that she is happy in this environment. She is treated very well. She enjoys the good food. My Dad has dementia and had orthopedic surgery. He needed rehab. A friend recommended Pinnacle MultiCare. I am so grateful, from the admission process down to the day of discharge, it was a great experience. The staff was kind and informative and I never felt like I had to worry about whether he would be well cared for or not. The medical Staff communicated changes in condition and plan of care and the Nursing and Rehab Staff was phenomenal. He had been in other Rehabs, but this is by far the best. The Bronx Garden Rehabilitation Center is not a pleasant facility to stay. Some nurses are nice and some of them are attentive to the patients , but for the most part, it feels as if staff is only there to get their paycheck. You have to be on top of them as a means to get the services that you need. The doctor at the facility, Aldo Navarro, is very unprofessional and arrogant. He changed mi medication regimen drastically, without knowing my medical history. He refused to see the report I tried to give to him with my diagnosis and the medication prescribed. However, he moved his hand and in a very unprofessional way he ignored my request. I have been having withdrawal symptoms since he drastically changed my medication such as nauseas, headache, my insomnio and anxiety has exacerbated and at night I wake up agitated and with palpitations. In addition, he made to me a very inappropriate comment about my shoes and put in dough the diagnosis of three of my doctors. He said that I do not have fibromyalgia because somebody with that illness is not supposed to wear the kind of shoes that I was wearing.He mentioned that my doctors licenses should be reviewed. He has not prescribed to me the medication that I need to address my vertigo attack. He has over medicated me with the medication to address my stomach problems. I have been neglected about my medication and other services that I need. Navarro is narcissistic and he is not interested in my health.He is interested in having the last word. This not about my medical needs, is about power. This issues have been discussed with the Social Worker of the facility as well as with te person that run it and the problem has not been resolved. On the contrary it has been worst. There is a complot against me because I complaint about how the facility has violated my rights and the medical neglect I have been suffering. PS. On 9/30/22 Aldo Navarro without informing me increased the velanzapine, medication for depression to twice a day, when I am supposed to take one pill only once a day in the morning. On 10/1/22, Aldo Navarro without informing me stopped the Lorazepan . It means that I do not have any medication to address my anxiety. Still I am not Receiving treatment for my vertigo. He has not give to me the omega 3 which is necessary for the triglyceric. The facility and Aldo Navarro continues to violate my rights.His place rotten. And there is a saying in Spanish that say : Among firefighter, do no stop on the horses.you do no the meaning, go to Google. On 10/ 4 2022. They try to intimidate me because I have. Finally, they prescribed th Clonazepan which isgood for because helps me to sleep better md d with my mood. They are trying to intimidate me because I have no place to stay. They trying to play with my mind. On 10/;22 I made a mistake and tried to take a picture of the doctor which is illegal. Immediately, the staff came to me to review my cámara. Which I showed and admitted that imIdmamd apologize for that Later , the social worker came to me with a document stating that Imwas going to be transferred to the Franklin Shelter. I was I in that shelter and that there is no5 a shelter that is hell and people vanadalized my clothes and stole all of my properties. I told her that I am not going to go that shelter. . She asked me to sign the papers of course I did not do it. I feel unsafe and that my life is in dangerous. As I mentioned before they cover one of another and they are not going to be on my side. All this problems began with the doctor Aldo. Navarro who refused to provide the medical care that I needed and instead makes things as his convenience. on 10/5;2022, Aldo Navarro stopped the Zolpiden which I take for insomnio. No one informed me. I am not able to sleep without the medication. I am nervous, anxiety and with no hope.it is 9:30 and I have not received any medication for diarrea.Blasina Soto

Please DO NOT leave your loved ones at this facility if they aren’t able to fend for themselves . My mother is currently here and the doctors are incompetent & never there, they are short staffed, the director tries to sells you dreams & is probably unaware of what is occurring at the facility. This is NO place if you want your loved one to recover & have a strong chance of survival. My mom has Scratches and Bruises on her that can’t be explained, her hair was cut in a manner in which I wouldn’t see. They say your not allowed to see their body only there face while your visiting your loved one to make sure nothing is going on and when you do see it your suspicions are confirmed. They don’t clean the patient properly even when you bring supplies. There is no open line of communication between the necessary staff and family which is imperative & when you do call they are very defensive and get upset when you call to check on your loved ones. Stay far away from this facility. They don’t care about the patients and your family members will not thrive in this place. Dr.Bryant Chauncey has no medical knowledge & is there to only get compliments but her lack of medical knowledge is horrible. NP Reva is unable to communicate, has no medical knowledge of anything. I wouldn’t trust an animal in her possession. I don’t even think she’s a nurse practitioner or has had the proper training other than in her country. This rehab was requested through the social worker. I understand that staff shortage and health issues are a problem but that front desk staff are very unprofessional. I witness family members drop things off and noone came to pick them up. I asked the gentlemen what his name was he said he doesn't give out his name and told me all I have to say is the time in which of my complaint and they will know who was at the desk. I explained I was there for a staff member he kept saying no visits. Finall after I wait he called and noone picked up the phone .. 9/13 On 9/11 I was informed that no visiation because someone tested positive for covid. I asked why wasn't the families informed of that because now you are exposing people to a unsafe environment. Second fl supervisor Judy is not a informative person she never informed me that I needed to call when I wanted to visit. I verbally said i was coming back she never told me to call. Meanwhile they put a mask on my aunt but there was a resident in a wheelchair roaming freely with no mask. My aunt was getting therapy for a stoke they just stopped it. Noone calls to tell you progress. I have witness many complaints as I waited to see my loved one. Its sad noone wsnts to work just get paid.Gilda Stanley

This is my college!! Love all the campuses, plus the professors are super friendly. My list of how awesome Mercy College is, goes on and on! I'm writing because I read a comment saying the college is overpriced for a community college level. Lol, 1st off, Mercy is a 4-year nonprofit private college. The financial aid and scholarships offered covered my cost of attendance. Mercy College has opened a door for me to obtain a secondary education for little to no cost.Terry Linwe

I'm happy I found this place. I'm going for the medical assistant training that starts on March. I thought they forgot about me but it just takes some time for the classes to start. I applied last year like around November. Best part is that classes are free. All I have to pay is 40 dollars for books and 17 for the kit. Thank you guys for helping people in need.Gabby's Life!!

I give it 0 stars. After my Mother had a horrible experience with constant falls at Concourse Rehab/Nursing home, I had her transferred to methodist. Worst thing I've ever done to my Mom, a week into her being there, I received a call my Mother tested positive for COVID. I guess you can imagine how myself and the Family felt. Now I have to live with the fact that I was coned by the advertisement and reviews. I was informed the CNA's that attend to the residents, are the least experienced for the care needed for the patients, and their not MANDATED to be tested in the manner they have the public to believe. To add insult to injury, when I'd made the statement that my Mom was more than likely exposed to someone without A MASK and sick, I received a conversation full of HEMS and HUH's stammering. They also had the audacity to no even give the family a courtesy call while my Mother was in the hospital. The summary is, ALL and I mean ALL nursing homes are the same, its the Capitalism on the Elderly by way of billing Medicare or Medicaid. It's more or less a Mill to legally embezzle the government. Please take the time to think about your Loved ones before exposing them to strangers who could be danger in disguise. I ask that anyone thinking Nursing homes PLEASE be proactive in your thinking. I'm making certain that this isn't just a review for google, but in my own personal BLOG. This is of the up most importance to broadcast. Myself and Family are totally confused about this entire situation of my Mother contracting COVID. She's currently on her way into HOSPICE. Dementia and COVID doesn't go together. If I could give a place zero or negative stars, I would do so. After a week in this place for so-called short-term rehab, I walked in for my visit to find my husband unconscious and sweating in his chair. His blood pressure had gone down to almost nothing, he was dehydrated and his sugar was sky high, and no one had checked in on him. This was after a week during which each time I came to visit I found him sitting in a diaper full of poop, often for hours at a time. Worse, obviously, when I couldn’t visit. When my husband told the doctor on his weekly visit that he had had persistent diarrhea, the doctor did nothing. My husband fell out of bed and the nurses did not document it. The PT workers and one orderly were the exception—lovely and caring. However, PT was extremely minimal and only five days/week, if that. Stay far away from this place.Michelle Bisson

My aunt was here for a couple days and wound up back in the hospital. I would give this place 0 if I could. The CNAs are terrible. The nurses are no better. The directors only worry about getting you in and billing the insurance company. PT is very mediocre and they don’t want to put in the work. PT attitude is very negative. They should be pushing the patients to do good and who would want their loved one working with people who act as if there is no hope for their loved one. The night staff is worse than ever, lazy and don’t do their jobs. They don’t even check on the patients at night. These people never pick up the phone but they know how to bill insurance for all the work they don’t do. The state should really be bought in to investigate this place.Kim Dee
