20 Best Radiology Programs In Philadelphia, PA (2022 Updated)

Wanting to further my education as an adult and being excited about coming back after 25 years since my first attempt enrolled in College my expectations were to seek help in enrollment, having all typical questions answered that every student has about financial aid, classes that can accommodate my FT work schedule, meeting with my student advisor and such. It was a very upsetting and disappointing experience to say the least. I would never recommend this school to anyone and I warn you in advance when considering. My student advisor Teneshia Soriano was the worst! I tried to meet with her on many occasions and she was never in the office past 3pm. Life requires us (most of us) to work FT jobs before even attempting an education, but when a school cannot understand that evening classes are imperative to adults returning to school it’s a big red flag. I could not be helped by the financial aid office, the business office, student advisor, and worst of all John Ryder the Director of Student Affairs. I walked away with a huge bill and no help from anyone. RCSJ is the worst!Alethea Rodriguez

Both of my daughters are currently attending classes, some on-line other's in person. Both girls have had an easy time with the entire process of finances, aid, enrolling, supplies, resources and support etc. Specifically because of the staff we've been working with in several different positions have truly been their for the students and parents. They have made the process easy in my opinion and we're more then helpful and mindful to a moody 18yr old. I do hope my girls continue on with RCSJ as it's close, affordable and the credentials of course!!Brian Reilly

The nursing program does not care about putting good working nurses into the health care industry. They only care about how well you can do on written exams, not actual performance in the field. This school has made it very clear that they are only out for money. I watched a loved one put everything they had into this course just to be given up on over a single point. I went to Delaware County Community College part time for four years after high school. It's one of the best decisions I ever made. I really didn't know what I wanted to do right out of high school and I didn't want to go to a super expensive university and still not be sure. I started out with general studies. I just finished my Liberal Arts associate's degree there this past spring. I enjoyed my time at this school. I got to take a lot of different classes to really figure out what I like and what I dislike, and it's way more affordable to do that here. The campus is beautiful, especially the STEM center. There's lots of helpful services and the professors I had were great. I'm now transfering to another school to study graphic design and I feel like DCCC helped me get on the right track. I would highly recommend this school to everyone!Natalie Cellini

The cost isn't horrible and the classes are similar to classes offered by four year universities. The problems I have lie with the administration (financial aid, career center, cashier office.) They do not know how to deal with students in a timely, concise manner. I was unable to get in and complete a single course for the last two years due to administrative problems, even though I had been with them previously. I went here from fresh out of high school from 2016-2019 and graduated there with my associates. Such a Beautiful campus and I had a very great experience at DCCC, I’ve had some pretty good professors during my time there although some did seem to only be there for a check. During my time here I was also in the KEYS program and they have such wonderful staff very helpful and friendly. They have a nice library and the food in the cafeteria is really good too.Nicole Flood

As the mom of a college student who had to leave a private, out of state institution for medical reasons, I came into contact with BCCC when my son was ready to obtain further credits. The administration was so very helpful, from applying for appropriate courses, to registering and payment. My son has not yet graduated, but the experience at the local community college was excellent. BCCC also has programs in which high school students with special skills or talents can participate in college level work. Both the high school and BCCC were extremely helpful in this regard. High school credits were obtained with no tuition payment. Finally, I am a sunset photographer. The high hill on the campus overlooking the baseball field just off Swamp Road is a very nice vista for sunset shots!!Carol Geibe

First off the price is great. The campus is really nice. I liked the professor's a ton. There were some really good teachers. When I transferred out most of my credits went to Penn state without an issue. I see a few reviews on here talking about bad teachers. This is not a BCCC problem, it's a college problem. I had just as many bad teachers if not worse teachers at Penn State as I did at BCCC. Expect it, accept it, and work harder in those classes. It's only 16 weeks folks. If you are looking to see if college is for you or just starting back up with your education I think it's a great place to start.Mike Carson

The campus itself is clean and the security is friendly. As for the professors I had in my two year stint here, many of them were awesome people and very helpful as teachers. I feel I have learned a lot from having knowledgeable teachers such as Professor Beers in the math department and Professor Bresnen in the music department. All in all, for the most part the staff here seems to care about their students' success and I have had many more pleasurable teachers here than I expected.Dan

Please read regarding the 46th ranked PCOM PA program! After attending PCOM PA program, I made it out by the skin of my teeth, literally!! I spoke with numerous PA colleagues from other programs and my experience was horrible compared to theirs. I applied to PCOM because I knew of the name PCOM hold but that really only applies to the DO program, the PA program is explained below. The PA program is run by people who could careless about you as a student. I say this factually because I have heard them talking about how they only care about their PANCE 1st time pass rate. What this means is they wouldn’t care if they lost over 75% of the class as long as those that finished passed the PANCE 1st time. Professor say differently but they don’t mean it in their actions. The averages on tests are low 80's, they provide NO CURVE or grade BOOSTERS and you need to keep a 3.0 to progress through program! Even the employees in the learning center, who offer tutoring and study techniques say that the PA program is not well managed is over kill and loses many students. For example in 1 term we have a 10 credit class but sit in class for 16-18 hrs a week for it. Then we have a 10% exam that covers 16 different ppt that are minimum of 60 slides each all taught and tested on under 14 days. Finals were comprehensive – 100Q test that covered 90 ppt all about 60 slides each. That is 5,400 slides of information! Again that is just one class and all the 2 credit classes are very similar. They have a Pathology class for the PA students but its not directed to PA, its the EXACT same lectures and tests the DO students get but PA students get 1/3 the time to learn and digest info. Each of those PPT range from 100-150 slides each. The best class though in the program is the Pharmacology. That professor actually seems like she cares about you as a student and writes straight forward Qs to test your knowledge. I get that PA school or any Masters program is challenging and should require a little more thinking and work. But at PCOM they teach you the same curriculum that the DO program gets but you have to do it in 1/3rd the time. They never test you on Keyword or Hallmark information that the PANCE tests you on. PCOM tests you on the pointless information that they find within the required reading of a 2000 pg textbook called Current medical diagnosis & treatment, which is a medical reference book not a textbook. To me I think they literally flip to a page and with eyes closed placed their finger on a spot and then write a Q based off the word their finger landed on. When it comes to the clinical rotations they have the most strict guidelines ever and rarely if ever give students their suggestions they would like! Out of my whole class, I think only 1 person got a rotation they suggested and there were about 60 students who have ability to submit. PS this is Pre Covid, I doubt they let anyone now post covid. I submitted 3 and got 0 I wanted, including my elective!!! Finally you have to do a RESEARCH PAPER in this program. The research professor is very belittling in how he talks to students. The research paper is a waste of time and pointless in teaching you how to be a PA. It solely is to make the PA program look good by them posting it on their webpages. They could make the class way more enjoyable and not full of busy work, but the rumor around the program is that the professors purposely want to take you to your breaking point not help you excel. I’m glad I barely made it through and ever have to deal with PCOM again, I'll never donate or be a rotation site for them! I hope by sharing my view of the school this makes people question even applying to PCOM. We need PAs out in the world, go to another school as being a PA is not about jumping through a million hoops and doing countless busy work assignments that PCOM mandates all while being continually put down and belittled by various professors in the way they talk to you.B J

I was recommended to see Dr. Todd Kelman by Dr. Robby Pullen to look at an x-ray taken of my right hand. He wants me to have an MRI to reach a better conclusion than the x-ray shows. We shall see what the final outcome will be. Today, I had an appointment to see Dr. Kelman for an injection on my right hand. Hopefully this will bring some relief. The swelling had decreased somewhat, and because of other medical issues, there is a limitation of methods to be employed. Arthritis is not only painful, but also a nuisance. I'll check with Dr. Kelman in a couple of weeks to see how everything is progressing.Harold Tucker

I left a message about changing pharmacies and expected to wait a while for a call back, but the delightful Fatima reached out to me within 5 minutes of my call and was already working on transferring my prescription. Manor College is a really great place to get started with many, many different programs to get your foot in to the door and get wonderful experiences in any field you are thinking about going into. Its a smaller campus, so you get to know people a lot faster. Classes are a wonderful size so you don't feel crowded, and it makes getting to know your teacher on a more professional and personal scale. The staff at Manor are the most wonderful and helpful people you will ever meet, they actually get to know you and make sure you are staying on track of all of your assignments, and staying on track with courses so that you graduate on time. Manor has a wonderful basketball and track team, along with many other programs such as Student Senate and CAB (campus activity board), which I joined my first semester and plan on joining again. They have many, many different activities that they plan throughout the school year to make sure everyone is staying involved and getting to know other students and make new friends. They are very inclusive with many different types of people and talk about many different types of religion and ethics so that everyone gets a chance to feel special and then the other students stay more informed about other people lifestyles. Our president, President Peri is the most wonderful man you will ever meet and always make sure you are doing well, and getting to stressed and when ever you see him he makes time to just catch up with everyone and get feedback about everyones lives and classes. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at Manor College. The beautiful campus hosts the bright eyed individuals seeking to further their education and the dedicated faculty and staff do their best to provide an excellent experience for all students. The small class sizes foster strong connections in and out of the classroom, and almost everyone gets to know you by name. One would think that a relatively small school wouldn't be able to pull in talented professors and bright students, but all of my professors during my time here have many experiences and are amazing at what they do. The campus life office is dedicated to everything that happens outside of the classroom, and they have so many events for students, some of which I have been directly involved with, and you can tell that everyone deeply cares about what they do here. Manor is going to grow exponentially in the future, with a fantastic new President in Jonathan Peri, a man with a vision so great and connections so deep that Manor will most likely become not just the premier two year catholic college, but one of the premier four year catholic colleges. My son graduated from Manor College a couple of years ago. It was a very positive experience for him. He has ADD & Aspergers Autism; he didn’t want to tell the faculty so that he was treated the same as any other college student. The staff here is very easy for a student to talk to & gave my son any help he asked for. My son graduated with honors with his associate degree in accounting. For a small community college it is wonderful. Beautiful campus with a creek running behind the dorms & has resident Canadian geese which wander freely on the campus. It is located in the suburbs outside of the Philadelphia area. The college is affiliated with many other colleges & recently has started to offer bachelors degree programs besides their associate degree programs. They are known best for their Vet Tech program & their dental programs. They have their own farm & community dental center which are great for the students practical experiences.Evelyn

Are you a working individual looking to earn a degree? Don’t go to Harrisburg Community College. This college uses Technology that is not easy to learn and I am good with Computers. Want to speak with a Advisor, well my advisor lives in South Carolina so I can only conduct a meeting via Zoom, the college is taking ALL personal interactions away. And working individuals…well i hope your not trying to spend any time with family and friends because I leave my 40 hour week job and I do school work for 5-8 hours a night and on my weekends. Forget about spending anytime with my wife and three children….I am taking 3 classes. Don’t ask the teachers a question, they just refer you to the syllabus…well clearly I am asking you a question because I didn’t understand it. I am military, yesterday I had duty and i didn’t get my project submitted, I logged in tonight to submit the project and the instructor removed the instructions, and locked the drop box so I couldn’t submit the assignment. I could keep going but I don’t have time…if your a working individual, don’t fall for the things they tell you.William Bricker

If I could give this institution a lower than one star rating, I would. For a community college, the course costs, books, and fees seem to be immense. I had professors who took half or more of the class periods to talk about themselves, personal topics and politics. I’ve also had professors assign English paper topics about personal things and I imagine he laughed at the student’s papers later in his free time. The required intro to college class professor had us playing with popsicle sticks and jars of rocks and sand. The certifying official for the VA office submitted my paperwork incorrectly. I dropped my classes and incurred debt because of how poorly the education at HACC is. They seem to be all about the money and not the education or students. I can’t even request a transcript for my new school because of “debts” to HACC. I no longer live in Pennsylvania and I am now attending a MUCH better school, and I am very glad. I would never recommend this school to anyone. This is not a good school, don’t waste your money and time.SMK3181

Most professors are nice but my overall experience was bad. I went here to try to accomplish a 2 year degree but every time course selection came around they didn’t have the classes I needed so I got stuck taking hardly any credits each semester. The majority of advanced classes are online only. They offer almost zero advanced courses in a classroom. So happy I made the decision to transfer. Not to mention how every time I scheduled a meeting with an advisor it either got cancelled without notice or they changed me to a new advisor who could not give me a single piece of useful advice.Kate

I have just graduated from Gwynedd in the fall of 2021. When I first started, I was terrified. What college freshman wouldn't be scared? It was a brand new environment and I didn't know anyone. After a few weeks I felt right at home and now, 3.5 years later, I couldn't be happier with my decision to attend Gwynedd. The school has given me amazing opportunities to expand my knowledge in a family-oriented environment. The professors truly care about each student's success no matter what course and they're more than willing to help students get the help they need. Advisors are awesome as well. If it weren't for my advisor, I wouldn't have pushed myself as hard and I wouldn't have graduated early. I will never regret my decision to attend Gwynedd for many reasons. The school gave me everything I could've possibly wanted and needed. As a commuter, the location was perfect. The drive was no more than 30 minutes and the area around Gwynedd is comfortable. Gwynedd is primarily commuters and I think they did a really great job of making sure those students were involved with as much as possible. Events are held in the afternoon or evening so commuters have the option to participate and join in the fun. Gwynedd did an amazing job at providing the college experience to commuters while they also having the comfort of their own home. Overall, it was the best of both worlds. I also had the privilege of being a student-athlete at GMercyU. As a D3 school, Gwynedd offers an incredible opportunity for students to perform well academically while participating in the sport they love. The coaches each play a huge role in the success of the student-athlete body by monitoring grades, attendance, and participation. They're completely understanding when students need to focus on their classwork and they acknowledge that academics come first. Gwynedd places much emphasis on the athletes to help keep the school spirit up. Each team is extremely supportive of the others and they are always more than willing to help out with school events. My time at Gwynedd has been part of the best 3.5 years of my life. Everyone on campus, whether it's students, faculty, or staff, is extremely welcoming and friendly. The campus community is one big family and I'm extremely thankful to have been a part of that. There are so many ways to get involved on campus, from athletics to clubs to honor societies. Look elsewhere! I went to this "university" many years ago when it was still a college. Based on the reviews, it seems nothing has changed since when I went. I was an adult student for secondary education and the program was the worst. Once you're locked in to their program, that's it – your credits are good no where else. There were at least twenty people in my secondary education class – at the final, only three of us were left – and not because of the students, but because of the teacher. The students I spoke to who were just out of high school said that the campus life was non-existent and boring, that they hated it here (that hasn't changed, either). The classes are spaced so far apart that you can either stick around and be bored for hours or drive home and waste gas. After reading the reviews and seeing nothing has changed in all these years – that they didn't care to change, why would you go here?Nemysis OnEarth

Although I do not have any experience with the education provide by this Christian institution, as a local I am displeased with the un-neighborly and un-Christian way Gwynedd Mercy security officers, or "public safety officers," handle individuals who are lead onto the campus by the local park trail. I understand this is a private university and they can ask people to leave if they are intruding, but simply riding my bike through an empty campus to avoid dangerous traffic on Sumnytown Pike seems like a bit much. Not to mention when I asked one of the officers, "so I need to go get hit by a car on Sumneytown rather than ride here without any issue," and he replied, "YES!" I am surprise people are voting Holy Family University 4 or 5 stars. I guess these rating are NOT based on the quality of the education. AS A PARENT who toured the campus with my child during an open house , I felt that Holy Family can't compete with students from the other schools in the area. Yes, they offer small class sizes ,personal attention, but what else? You don't here a lot about Holy Family graduates in Philadelphia or its surrounding area. Villanova, La Salle, and St.Joseph's are stealing the spotlight from other catholic colleges. Upenn, and Drexel are the large private schools. Temple is a large public school. You could find graduates from those 6 colleges working in MANY different fields around Philadelphia. What is Holy Family's problem? I think they have a problem standing out from the crowd. Like someone has mentioned, Holy Family is too calm. They are afraid to push boundaries, try new things, and compete with the other schools. The school is too relax. It's a calm peaceful university, that DON'T make things happen, but instead THEY WAIT for things to happen. Holy Family is VERY similar to Rosemont ,Cabrini and Gwynedd Mercy, three other failing colleges in the area. They don't have a strong alumni network and programs with a long legacy of success. You CAN'T BLAME this on the school's small size or the school's late founding, 1954. MOST OF THE BLAME SHOULD be place of Holy Family's administration. Not much is done in the president's office. You hear about their nursing program, but you also hear about better nursing programs in the area. What makes Holy Family Different? Most online reviews are commenting on the grading system. I don't understand why this university is hurting their students. Let's be honest, most students at Holy Family were not bright in high school (look at admission stats), so why would the school want to change the system. This grading system should NOT be an incentive for students to work harder. Based on everything I said, I would not recommend Holy Family. If you want be in the philly area, go to a good school. The worst university ever. Do not waste your time and money sending your child here. They do not practice Catholic Values At all. The instructors are not even qualified to teach, they do not teach anything. They teach everything from power point that student already have copies of. Most of the instructors do not have PH.D's. Tuition is very expensive and under-qualified instructors all always discouraging students and putting them down. If students have problems, the faculty sides with instructors not helping students at all. The university is overrated. The name is just a cover up to attract Christian students. The faculty members and instructors, do not follow the Christian principles in the way they act and conduct themselves, specially toward students. Parents be aware, do not let the name fool you – Holy Family. Not Holy at all the way the faculty member and instructors conduct themselves. Since transferring to Holy Family University in 2014 I've come to realize that this was one of the best decisions I have made in my collegiate career thus far. I have never been more satisfied with this university in terms of education, faculty/staff, and the students I have met and ultimately became close with. Holy Family is more than a University, it is a place that, should you put your mind to it, can open doors for your career and future. As graduation quickly approaches I look back on these past two years and realize that the education I gained, not only scholastically but emotionally and spiritually, will be the the ground work in creating a successful future for myself. Dear Karen, I just wanted to let you know that we met with Dr. Su yesterday and she interpreted all of the test results and provided an explanation of the diagnosis. We have a CAT scan and follow up with her in August to confirm the biopsy findings. My husband and I feel so blessed that our heart, instincts and prior experiences led us to Fox Chase. Growing up on Borbeck Ave., Jeanes was "our hospital". I remember holding on to my mother's apron as we ran my baby brother down Barnes St. to the ER because he had croup. Some nurses saw us coming and one opened the door as another grabbed the baby. I remember my grandmother being on the second floor recovering from surgery for adhesions, and she called my mother to tell her she was chilly. My mother gave me a sweater and I took it down, going in the side door by the gift shop and up the stairwell to the 2nd floor and right to the nurses station. I was too young to visit my grandmother, but staff allowed 11-year-old me to warm my grandmother in another way. Being wrapped in warmth is how I felt yesterday. We were welcomed at the registration desk where the paperwork was completed seamlessly. We were then led to waiting area #2 where the escort checked us in and handled our paperwork at that location. That entire process took 20 minutes. We then waited in a comfortable area for just a few minutes beyond our scheduled appointment time. When my name was called, a pleasant nurse took us back for vitals, then another, just as pleasant NP, did a brief hands on exam and extensive interview. After another brief wait, Dr. Su entered. She slid her chair adjacent to me and proceeded to explain what was going on with my lungs. She listened to my lungs and heart. She went through the reports sentence by sentence, highlighting important findings with her pen. She asked questions and answered questions. She took her time. She was not distracted. She listened. We left with the assurance that we have a diagnosis which Dr. Su is comfortable confirming. We understand that nothing about the internal workings of the body is 100%, but that we are as close as one can get to knowing my current pulmony status. When we checked out, the young man at Desk #2 set up our follow up CAT scan for August 8th and our follow up appointment with Dr. Su on the 9th. As we gratefully made our way to the parking lot, a volunteer noticed our confusion about locating the correct exit door, asked us if he could help us and then guided us to the correct corridor. All of this to let you know that we are so thankful that we made the decision to seek our 2nd opinion at Fox Chase. We are thankful that Jan connected us to you. We are thankful that you connected us to Dr. Su. We are thankful for your advocacy. We are thankful that you intervened on my behalf to get the biopsy findings. We are thankful that you contacted my pulmonologist's office. We know we are blessed to have the outcome we have. We also know we are blessed to be located near Fox Chase and to have access to excellent, knowledgeable caregivers who exude kindness. Thank you so much for all you did to make this happen. And you ask for directions to the treatment center and BEAUTIFUL Angel who looked looks like family appears right by side OUT OF NOWHERE!!!! ; as it’s seems for NO OTHER reason but to help me. She is a Queen 👸🏽 in every since of the word as she looks at me soooo intentionally and say I will walk you there. Not point, not a map…she walks me, smiles introducing me to the check in desk. Hands me her card as says if you EVER need anything…call me. I think Fox Chase is wonderful but if I had to base everything just off her!!! First class cancer center. Appointments always run on time. The staff is wonderful, caring, helpful. There are greeters to help you find your way around. Large waiting areas for family to wait for you. There is a Starbucks kiosk, a gift shop, a cafeteria and a snack shop. They also have weekly vendors with all different kind of items for sale. Wheelchairs are at the doorways of parking lot. The doctors are top notch, for my breast cancer I used dr. Richard Bleicher, he is amazing, I highly recommend him. I also used Dr. Rubin in Gyno. He is amazing as well. This is the place you want to be if you have cancer. Also for family members waiting for you, the cafeteria has very good foodAngela C

Where to start….. re-enrolling for business admin after a degree in admin. Pretty sure any of children in the children's center would have been better advisors than the first one I had as she passed me off to admissions, had no idea what she was talking about, and downright REFUSED to help me enroll in classes saying she "doesn't do that, you have to do that online but I can show you how on this computer." The next day the second gentleman was a little more helpful but again, got nowhere. Advising hold, needed a specific advisor for my program [he was the one to tell me that] but he at least got me a name. Meanwhile another advisor is emailing to set up an appointment [not the one I needed]. I contacted the one I needed, I'm not even eligible for that program due to a pre-req not being met [hours of time being wasted to find this out fyi]. Get in touch with the one that has been reaching out, my advising hold was magically lifted, no one claims to have done it, register for classes other guy cancels his appt, make payment #q all good now….. fast forward 2 weeks it's time to make payment #2. I go to the Bursar's office only to be turned away because the Bursar's office does not accept payments 😳😳. I'm starting to remember why I took an extremely long break and a long time to get my degree . I'm even contemplating paying the out of county fee to transfer up to LCCC…..Katie Fitzpatrick

Beginning of Fall Semester 2021, I was a P.T.K. honors, full scholarship recipient student here working on my second degree until I was profiled by one of the female EMT instructors who though it would be a great idea to complain to an armed police officer that I was in the hallway outside the classroom my oldest son (also a student at NCC) was attending. The officer (extremely nice and professional) instructed me not to wait for my son in the hallway anymore since one of "the female EMT instructor's" complained about me for waiting in the hallway, doing nothing wrong, but waiting for my son. The situation was quickly neutralized after showing the officer my credentials revealing to him that I myself am a EMS Chief as well as a NCC Student. The Fowler building has constant video surveillance on every floor if NCC staff wishes to investigate. This took place on the 3rd floor of the Fowler Center Building. I have since transferred as a result. I will no longer be attending or sending any of my children to NCC. Posting this now because of possible retaliation towards my son and I being NCC students at the time.John Rivera

On Friday May 31 2019 I did a self-guided tour of Northampton Community College. This was my first visit to this spacious campus. The campus is located about ten miles from downtown Bethlehem in a suburban almost country-like setting. The campus looked very modern to me. I walked through the sports building and there was a fitness center which was closed that day. Not sure if the school has a pool. There is also a north campus across the street. Student housing and Alumni Hall are located here. There are many parking lots and the school has its own campus police force. I cannot comment on the school itself since I did not go here nor do I know anyone that did.Richard K

I joined Drexel University as a Computer Science major with a sole aim to take transfer to a better institution. The only two things that I liked at Drexel was :- 1. Scholarship and Financial Aid 2. Math faculty (Dimitri, Jason and Pavel Grinfield) The CS lectures were aweful, so was the CS faculty. I had a 4 GPA for 3 continuous quarters (that's how long I stayed here). CS 164 was a course which taught Javascript language. However, I knew more JavaScript before taking the course than I came out learning after the course. Totally confusing. Popyack was my professor. CS 171 and 172 were fine, just because I had prior experience with C++. In 8 out of 10 lectures I fell asleep, because they were extremely boring. The professor made no eye contact what so ever. Half of the time what he says would make no sense. The labs don't really help you out, they are poorly designed. Most labs will take more time than the time allotted. You'll have to go home with extra work. The university is fraud and extremely unmanaged. There's no infrastructure compared to the good colleges. Small football field. The area is not safe at all. You keep hearing this person got shot, that person got robbed, raped etc. They do not maintain student to faculty ratio. Classes are oversized and poorly air conditioned. Drexel course registration system is very poor. Generally by the time your registration time starts most of the classes you had planned to take would be full. Leaving you sweating and worried early in the morning (around 7 am). There's something called Drexel Central at Drexel, which helps you out with general/administrative/financial aid questions. I emailed them many a times, however, out of 5 emails, I only got reply to 3 of them. Bad service. (They say they maintain a well-designed database system for all the messages/inquiries/support). They compare themselves to UPenn. (Yes, you can laugh). Also, some professors say that Drexel Dragons are much better than UPenn students. (Laugh again). Extremely expensive. (So much money for nothin'. In fact, the tuition is more than that of UPenn which is an Ivey League) There are two places where you can go and have meals, and hang out with friends too. However, the food options there is so limited that it's better you rather eat at other places and waste all your meal swipes for which you are paying about $ 2000 per quarter. Even with meal swipes you don't get everything (basically the good things). For most of the things you can't use meal swipes. For meal swipe, at one of the locations, for example you can buy Pepppperrrronnnni Pizza (You can guess the quality of the pizza! The worst pepperoni is served here.) The free refill cups are extremely small. When I joined in the Fall the cups had a good size of 16 oz, but as time flew the cups became smaller and smaller. They are now half (may be even lesser) of what they used to be. The books for the courses are at extremely high price, and are hardly used. Drexel maintains rating and review system for course and faculy, however, though it is hardly ever evaluated. (But they will send you a million emails asking you to complete course/faculty rating/review). For example, one of the Pfysics professors at Drexel, who is pathetic at teaching, asks the students to buy books if they are taking the course compulsorily, still continues this practice of making them buy books, even after so many reviews having been done against it. No action taken by Drexel. The dorm life is not bad. Except that the washrooms, toilets are not cleaned on a daily basis. The kitchen is always dirty. Laundry room is always full. Well, they do have a Subway, but the quality of service provided there is extremely poor. The guy there literally just throws everything you tell him on the bread, such that when the bread is folded, 1/4th of the sandwich comes out. Chick fil A at Drexel unlike at all other locations does not provide free refills. Again they are charging you so much for nothing. Never consider going here.Niam Tomer

Surprisingly good University, presenting a good amount of development and a few excellent professors. The co-op opportunities are very interesting, a great idea and implementation. It is, however, a very expensive education, leading to a lower prestige/cost relationship. To become a top-ranked University, Drexel still needs a lot of branding through student achievement – combined with school pride, which could be much stronger – and research projects/applications with high visibility. Both could be reached with benefits to bring more top-level students and professors and with good money usage (because there is a lot of it) and cooperations for project funding.Leonardo Rolim

I attended Drexel and I can honestly say this was the worst choice I've made in a school choice. My professors were pretty decent, but the staff are not helpful and they talk to you like you should know certain things already. I pay this damn school every month on time because I have a balance due, and they won't release my transcripts even though I am paying them upward $125 per month. Which are payments that I am never late paying. I can honestly say I regret this decision and really should have went with my first choice which was Temple and my second choice being Cheyney. This hospital was once a god send and once admitted the care is above board. However that was all pre covid. While I do know how severe it can be I also know some over react. Dr offices are over run and now it’s falling into ER. Last time there was a 10 hour in/out with 9 hours waiting. Witnessed more people going through for shots and vaccinations then ER. Now there are 2 waiting rooms and infant under 1 yr old with 102.8 fever steady breaking for 30 minutes sit in population for over 5 hours and still waiting. Oh yeah currently there. Ask about wait baby is cranky but tag teaming to make them more comfortable. Oh it will be a little longer we get told. Mean while others are coming and going. To little to wear a mask but let’s keep them close together with others without them. If they don’t have anything severe going in they will going out. Can’t believe chop has gone from 5 star to this. Dr seem Knowledgeable once you see one. Good luck getting to that point.Shannon Frey

For my outpatient appointments and my first inpatient stay the doctors and staff have treated me nicely most of the time. However, for my first ER visit, they sent me to an abusive psychiatric facility that I told them to not send me to. For my second ER visit and inpatient stay, a doctor (You know who you are.) decided to act like I was faking being unable to talk, when this was a REAL symptom I was experiencing at the time. Along with the rest of the treatment team, she decided to discharge me and send me back to an abusive psychiatric residential facility that I was unfortunately residing at. Based on my experiences, I feel CHOP staff, nurses and doctors needs to have more awareness and training on preventing and helping patients out of abuse in psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities, and group homes. This review is just a recommendation for what should be done. I'm not intending to be offensive or mean.C W

if i could give this hospital a zero i would. 3rd time my child has been here in the past 3 months. they have given us no answer and toture him every single day. they don’t give him medicine when it is time for medicine. they don’t care when he is cramped crying telling me mom make it stop. he throws up violently and they just tell him to take deep breaths. this hospital is a SCAM. they’re giving him melatonin at night even thought they know it does not help. but at the same time they want his heart rate to stay over 45 but should know as nurses and doctors that melatonin slows down all functions of the body including your heart! they are oblivious and just scam you out of money. thanks philadelphia.Bailey Hallman

Finally came around to writing this review… My boyfriend was brought into the ER through an ambulance in November of 2021. I was with him on the ambulance and was told I’d have to come in through the visitor entrance and meet him inside later. Because of COVID, only one person was allowed to visit and they were only allowed to visit once he got a room in the ER. What was supposed to be a simple procedure went terribly wrong (the doctors/nurses were not at fault, it was an unexpected complication that occurred). The front desk kept giving me run arounds, telling me on the phone I can come in to see him, but when I got there telling me I can’t see him. They gave me run arounds for a while, which I’m assuming is because of the unexpected complication. What I would say is the front desk of the emergency room was highly unprofessional. While my boyfriend was bleeding out in the ER and ultimately passed away, the front desk was getting annoyed with me asking about the status of my boyfriend when they were the ones telling me I could come back in but then retracting what they said once I got there. Not only that, but one of the front desk lady even proceeded to ask me how old I was and commented on the age gap of me and my boyfriend. I found this highly unprofessional and it only added to my grief. It took a while for me to come around and write this review because I was so upset with the whole situation.Mina

I just want to say the communication with this hospitals prenatal care is the absolute worst . This is my first pregnancy and the treatment I have received has been horrible . They want you to communicate through their portal directly but you don’t get a response for days . I had a small scare and reached out via portal and the message has still not been responded to . Thank god I went into another doctors office and was able to get my questions answered and my issue taken care of that way . I live 45 min from this hospital and still chose to do my care here because they are supposed to be the best in Philadelphia but I have yet to experience the best from them . Instead I get slighted and smart responses via their portal when I complain about having to wait over their 48 hours required time of response which is still pretty steep . I requested to get my records released to Another hospital because pregnancy should be treated as a priority and not put on the back burner when questions or concerns come up.Jasmin Nixon

So far I absolutely love them I have 3 1/2 more months of prenatal care with them. I didn’t have any prenatal care for he first two trimesters (well half of the second) because I could not get an appointment at hup until my 3rd trimester ( they said they had nothing available at all) so I decided to just give them a call (Pennsylvania hospital) they got me in same week scheduled every kind of appointment I missed the same week , answered every question I had. I’m getting great vibes from my team so far I’m getting less afraid to have this babyTynae Daniel

What a great group of Nurses! These ladies and Gentlemen are what keeps hospitals running! The heart and soul of the medical system! I spent a few hours with this great group of people today for a test and they made me feel relaxed and cared for! I wish I could remember each of their names to personally thank them but sadly they gave me some milk of amnesia and I woke up no remembering my own name! This rating is for the radiology department. If you want your ill family member to be treated with the utmost disrespect then this is the place for you. The radiology department is unprofessional, uncaring and really just don't care. You will be treated like a number. They overbook and your loved ones will sit there for hours on end before they have their test. If they even get their test done that day. I am talking at least 4 hours or more. The waiting area is completely over crowded, uncomfortable and you do not feel safe. The worst experience. Shame on them.  And getting to the facility is not pleasant. Excellent art work! Bright and happy hospital building. However, The wait area needs improvement. I loved the telephone charging station. The cafeteria, coffee shop and coffee bar are disappointing! No quality coffee or snacks. The valet parking exceeded my expectation; they cover the interior of the car completely in attempt to control COVID-19 spread. When the return the car to me they removed everything. My car was clean and sterilized. Thank youAna Ano

Brought a family member here for testing. The arrival instructions were HORRIBLE, the total lack of instructions was wholly disheartening. The waiting rooms have liberal programs spewing garbage. In general I found the medical staff rude. On a plus side The parking attendants were very pleasant and the Facilities were clean. My husband was just transferred here from the ICU this past Friday afternoon on high oxygen therapy due to pneumonia Infection complications from lung cancer. Although nursing care is excellent, what they keep harping on here and through their social workers and councilors is when it might be possible to begin Home Hospice care, for the third time in less than three days. This despite my emotional pain at my pending loss of him to which they give lip service. Home help aid would be too limited for my current condition of heart failure to cope with and I wouldn’t be able to attend cardiac rehab due to their inability to guarantee coverage. The should spend their time caring for the patient not trying to get rid of them.ANNYAH HASLER

Nurses are always great. However security gave us a hard time when entering and leaving the hospice care unit with the patient's therapy dog. The dog was trained to assist with medical emergencies and handle day to day tasks, and was NOT an emotional support dog but a licensed therapy dog. Security tried tellingt us several times that the dog had to take the service elevator and not the guest elevator, which is illegal to do with therapy dogs. You do not know if the dog's patient is with them (as you cannot ask) and to make someone take a different elevator because of their disability is a crime. Took us weeks of fighting before the hospice relented.Stacie

My wonderful and very missed father was placed here at the end of his life and I spent 5 beautiful days in this amazing facility with him almost 24 hours a day. It was beyond my expectations, very peaceful and the staff were so fantastic, compassionate and very very informed in every step of this sad process of life. I don't know what we would have done without their assistance and care. It was the best possible placement I could have hoped for and I give my eternal gratitude to this institution. Terrible customer service at this Haddonfield location. Front staff and mammo staff are curt, very few friendly faces which is critical as many people getting tests are nervous. I have been using So Jersey Radiology for 15 years but 3 years at Haddonfield and decided after todays encounter to cancel and switch to Jefferson Cherry Hill where I hear the mammography site is GORGEOUS, and staff very friendly. I made the appointment 2 days prior. Which was impressive. My appointment was for 11am. I was checked in immediately as I walked into the facility. I was in and out of the changing area in less than 15 mins into my visit. My service was completed an I was in and out of the Cherry Hill office in under an hour. Staff was friendly and courteous. This was an easy test to have done, so didn't expect any issues. Everytime I go to SJRA in Cherry Hill the location is easy to get to, the facility is always neat and clean and the staff is always so helpful and pleasant. I just had an ultrasound of under my left arm due to soreness I was feeling. I’m such an anxious person regarding my health and my experience was wonderful! The lyoung woman who checked me in was kind and helpful and my ultrasound technician, Jamie was the best. Gentle and really good at her job.
