20 Best Medical Assistant Programs In Springfield, MA (2022 Updated)

I took the CNA ‘Plus’ programme there back in October 2021. For $2395 we never got a clinical! And the facilities and equipment provided were unbelievable! One mannequin with its leg falling out and not even a proper night gown to keep it from being exposed! Sheets were dirty! Equipment faulty, and now we are STILL waiting to take our state licensure exams! If you’re taking the CNA programme, do not take the “plus part” it is a waste of money and time. State Street U is amazing. I attended 22 years ago and stopped by for the first time since then and I was amazed to find, updated buildings, a beautiful store, and a whole new feel. The professors and professionals were mostly great when I was there and though I don't attend, I had a chance to talk to administrators and they are still amazing. It is a fantastic education at a great price. If you are looking for a great community college, look no further than STCC. Roxbury Community College is a top community college in Boston with accessible instructors who are devoted to their students learning and mastery of the subjects. It is more important to learn the foundations than be pressured and focusing on competition for grades at some notable colleges in the area. I am also interested in furthering my writing career for children and young adults by the Children's Literature course. And courses on Images of African Americans in the media. I am applying to an MFA program in creative writing at Spaulding University and need letters of recommendation. I hope to get a tv show on Nickelodeon. This will help. I might take Linux computer programming or Java II. I plan to enroll in Biology I Biology II at BHCC. There is an Energy class. If I have time I will take this on Saturday mornings. I also plan to take Organic Chemistry and apply to medical school using computerized anatomy coursework. I am considering taking Arabic language classes here. I am also going to read the book on legal document preparation. I do not have time to take everything, so I can read the book and keep improving being self taught is important. I start a dishwasher job at a major sports arena complex in the evening and will work weekends, so I have time!Kelly Moy

Absolutely not. I know rocks that can gain more intelligence in a lifetime compared to the amount of anything you'll gain here. They don't even offer flexible tutoring hours for students employed by the school. What? are you kidding? Say its a conflict of interest. A conflict of who's interest? Cause its truly conflicting the interest to learn when you cant make a buck and get help with academics at the same time. Highly unprofessional staff, hand to God I thought they were common transients you pass by in hallways and streets. Also the graduation rate there is half past depressing and that alone is a reflection of the interests the professors have in teaching a community anything college related. Also is a reflection of the effortless clowns that frequent the facility still nostalgic about their high school days. Do NOT waste your time especially if you have SENSE and SCENTS. I'm 100% positive that those who gave this 5 stars and commented that they graduated have all ended up in a career working with MBTA. Oh yeah, and I'm not from Boston. Please be aware of this college. Worst college in USA. Took money out from Income Tax return without even attending any class. Please be very aware before you visit this college or sign any papers.My wife went there to check about the courses they provide and see the college. She never went to that college again and never did any class. After couple of months we received a bill that we owe money. Called the college and the front desk said that you have to talk with the billing department. They told us that you have to come to the college and sign the paper. My wife told that her foot is broken and she have 4 kids so that is why she cannot come. She Also told them that she will send doctor and hospital note that she cannot drive.They hung up the phone on her. She sent so many email and calls but no reply. Spoke with billing department that I really need that money for my kids. They guy I spoke said that i can not return the money. Most of the bad reviews are coming from people who had ONE bad experience at like the book store or whatever or i gEt tHiEr aDs oN hUlu, though the veteran who shared his story probably has a decent case to make. Anyway I got a business degree from this college and if you actually try you can do really really well here, with great professors and programs like the honors program which gives high level learning at bottom dollar, and wonderful faculty like the folks at PTK, disability services, or the Fuller Center. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to work on regarding graduation rates, the food, no one card system, etc but I couldn't give this place anything less than 5 stars because of all of the wonderful people who give 110% here, especially in those departments I mentioned. If you live in Worcester don't spend 30k a year to go to Assumption, you'll save so much money to come here. Seek opportunity, study for your tests, respect your professors and faculty, and most importantly, do your damn homework; I guarantee you'll be a success at this place if you do all of these things.Clark Kent

The qcc "police" are some of the most unqualified and unempathetic people in the area. There is no doubt they have no training, no expertise in law and zero idea of what they are doing. Maybe they should take some courses while they work their jobs at qcc in criminal justice. Maybe they can get a handle on their jobs. This is an awesome school and I am so disappointed that one teacher ruined it all for me. DO NOT take Professor Jane Joyce accounting classes or any classes from her. She is awful and not a good teacher in general. You will waist your money, time, and probably want to rip your hair out when she talks. It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review but I am in hopes of MCPHS revising their admissions process for the Physician Assistant Program. I know that I was not the only student this year that was invited to interview and then closed out of an interview spot and placed on a waiting list. When I contacted MCPHS they told me that I may not get to interview after all as they had accidentally invited too many people to interview and did not have the resources to open up more interview dates even though acceptances are not on a rolling basis. How does a top tier medical university not have the resources to interview all the students they invited? By choosing to interview solely the people that happened to secure spots first, not only are they limiting the potential of their incoming class and proving that they only care about filling the spots for monetary reasons, but they are limiting the future of numerous successful students who worked hard to get an interview invitation. When I asked Jordan Hunt (admissions counselor) to make sense of this she was unable to provide a competent answer besides that the university messed up and the incoming students are the ones facing the repercussions. I’m not writing this for myself, but for the other students who were too timid to speak up or who had chosen this school as their top choice and then got screwed. I truly feel bad for some of the other incoming students who do not have other options and were relying on MCPHS. I am very disappointed. MCPHS either needs to change their interviewing process to rolling acceptances (interviewing the top tier students first and then going down the line) or they need to use this model but be willing to open up more dates in case of overflow. Side note: They informed me that students on the waiting list could be notified up to a day before an interview that a spot had opened up. Do they not take into consideration that everyone doesn’t live near Boston or works full-time? Extremely dissatisfied with this supposedly “top tier” medical college.Maddy Frank

Hey guys, good for all the students giving great remarks. I don't know if the school has paid you. I must say i was in the nursing program , ( the set that started 2005) the teachers were very bad. Everything was very difficult, out of 50 students that got into the nursing program only 15 students or even less that graduated from the program. Judy Murphy was very racist, no room for improvement. It was a very bad school. I will recommend another school any day any time as matter off fact the school needs to refund money back to students that paid for tuition. All they care about is your money and not the students. It was a very traumatic experience. It was one of the worst decision i have ever made in life to attend that college. I Owe up to 100,000 in debt with no nursing degree to show for. I thank the Almighty God i got my degree from another school with no stress or frustration. Guys open your eyes and look for another school. I just finished my second-year in PharmD program in MCPHS. I’m gonna transfer to Worcester to study the accelerated program. I have had great time in MCPHS so far. All professors are very nice and friendly. I haven’t met any professor who’s not willing to help student wholeheartedly. They always have office hours to answer students’ inquiries and to clarify the lecture in case the students don’t understand. There are absolutely no discrimination in MCPHS. It’s all about respect. Every MCP student is very welcoming so we have a very close-knit community in MCP. The program is well-designed and bearable. Sometime I feel overwhelmed but it’s not impossible to pass as many people say. You just need to put time and effort and you’ll be fine. In short, MCPHS is a great university for those who seriously pursuit a professional career in pharmacy and health sciences.Bill Nguyen

I graduated from Our Lady of the Elms in 1964, one of 4 Chemistry majors. Afterwards, I worked for the FDA in New York City, the Chemical Abstracts Service in Columbus, OH, and, in 1968, joined the Papal Volunteers for Latin America. I underwent training at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and at the Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. In December, 1968, I arrived in Lima, Peru, where I was assigned to research enzymes in fish meal protein at the Catholic University of Peru. Shortly afterwards, I adopted a tiny baby girl, who is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, TX. I've also lived in Belize, became a technical translator and editor, and ran 2 corporate libraries in Houston. In 1989, I earned a TX teaching certificate in Composite Science, and , in 2001, an MEd in Science Curriculum and Instruction. These are just a few of my accomplishments, and I credit my fantastic education and dedicated faculty at the Elms for my successes. I transferred to Elms from HCC and was pleasantly surprised by my experience there. I loved that the campus was small and I loved that because of that, each student got more one on one help. The dining hall is beautiful and new, the library is comfortable and the people there are helpful, and the professors are all amazing at what they do. I am in the Medical Assisting Program. Unfortunately, this program has not upheld to the standards that they had previously. I do not feel like I was properly prepared and that that the instructors, except for 1, did not take our (mine and my fellow students) concerns seriously. I was removed from the program literally one week before externship over being accused of some very bad things but they would not let me dispute the accusations or try to prove my innocence or give me any say in the matter whatsoever. Was a student of MTTI's Medical Coding Program that just graduated this passed June 2022. There were a few bumps in the road during the schooling but overall it is a very good school with active faculty members. Just wanted to review mainly to highlight Mrs Rocc. She is extremely empathetic and tries for every student that enters her classroom. The trick with her is if you are struggling or have a question LET HER KNOW. If she knows she will tell you or guide you depending on scenario. And if she doesn't, she will hands down be right there with you looking for an answer to help! She doesn't give up on students. And she genuinely cares. Even now she checks in on me to see how I'm doing in my career path! Also Shawn the Career coordinator. He is very good at what he does! He will guide you through the school year with resume prep, interview prep, job search, and still emails after you graduated to update you on employment opportunities. He responds back to questions and emails quickly and tries for the students of MTTI. Extremely professional and a great addition to the faculty at MTTI.Katrina C

I had a really great experience both teachers were awesome! I started off not knowing anything about bikes and by the end of the year I restored a whole bike in two months. The teachers were very patient and listened to me whenever I was having trouble. They helped me learn things step by step and went over everything multiple times to make sure everyone understood all the details. The class work and notes were very clear and they gave us a good amount of time to study before each test. The textbooks and shop assignments were very helpful and made everything a lot more clear. It helped me a lot learning in class then going into the shop and doing job sheets and being hands on. They always made sure everyone was on the same page and never rushed. I took the residential and commercial electrical course and came in as a no nothing and left as one of the top students, which I had never done before and I have to thank my instructor Rick and skills instructor Dennis for guiding me through this process. I couldn’t have done it without their knowledge and guiding and believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Going to a school in where you’re actually invested in what’s going on makes learning so much easier because you actually want to be there and are invested. This school is a money grabbing institution. I spent over 1300 to take a course that did not teach me anything more than I already knew by just gaining experience in the work field. I also asked the coordinator if these courses are accredited by major colleges and universities like Seneca or U of T, he told me yes and now that I am trying to enroll, they are stating that Springfield is not an accredited college to transfer credits. I completed the IV administration and phlebotomy programs. The online study material was easy to understand and my learning was enhanced by the videos and detailed explanations. It allowed me to come well prepared for my practical session and test. The practical was one on one with plenty opportunities to ask questions. I would never go to the place again. Once was enough. This place put false statements on my Patient Clinical summary.On the Complaint in he reason for visiting us,they entered.PATIENT REPORTS TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID. I never said this.I never had COVID and i hope i never do. They also make a few other FALSE statements in that section .When i got home, i called and asked them to make a revision to this report and they said that they would talk to there superior and call me back.THEY NEVER CALLED ME. The next day i dropped by and the 2 ladies that were at the front desk,said they would get the provider out to talk to me when he was finished with a patient.I waited about 15 minutes and he did not come out .I then told the lady that i had to be somewhere and could she just send me the revised copy and she said that they can not send it into the mail,because it was medical records,so i asked her to call me when they have the revision and i will make another trip there and she assured me that she would do that.. 2 days go by and i never got that call AGAIN.not very dependable outfit at all. So, i went by again and the desk lady said that she did not know anything about this and send out another woman , who said she was in charge and this woman said that they can not do those things that everyone there had told me that they would do. She refused to do anything about this..except to say that someone may have keyed the wrong info in. This is a lame excuse, because there were a number of statements that in that section that I NEVER SAID TO ANYONE THERE ,and they were all false statements. She was adament and stated that she WILL NOT do what i asked,which was just to make a corrected addition or a revision to the receipt for me. She was very fresh to me . I felt like i was talking to a wall. Your company sure has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and treats patients like trash and i would never,never go to this horrible place..You should call your business AFC-WE DON'T CARE.Frank Krol

Forgot about me for almost an hour. When I went to ask how it happened because I had an appointment that I made for myself for the first time and genuinely wasn’t sure, they seemed more mad about it than me. When they first realized and asked me if I was waiting for someone I walked up to the counter and explained why I was there and that I made an appt. Both receptionist looked at the computer screen and laughed then told me I was all set. So I asked what happened and they rudely said mistakes happen so I’m like on my end or yours? One of them said on our end I already told you and I explained that I had no idea and had to ask them so no they didn’t tell me. She basically said I just said it twice now I’m done you can have her help you referring to the other receptionist. They just treated me like they did not care at all to explain what happened or how we could resolve it and sat there and continued to eat right at the front desk unmasked and make faces and laugh as I attempted to resolve the l issue and provide my information with the other receptionist.Kristal Torres

Checked in on line at 3:05 pm #8 on the list. estimated time was just over 1 hour so I waited. Never got seen until just before 7:00pm. When I went in I was asked all the pertinent questions. The tech took my blood pressure. I thought my arm was going to fall off from the pressure in the pressure cuff. Was sent to another room where I waited to be seen by a physician. I saw the Nurse who was very nice. She examined me for a couple minutes and prescribed medication. 4 hour wait for a 5 minute appointment. Can’t understand why All the patients had to wait so long. The excuse was the new computer system. But that should not be the blame for all that time. So word of warming if you see the sign on the window asking for patients because of a new computer system turnaround and walk out the door cause you’re gonna be in there for a long time waitingPatricia Kania

I have used Dispatch Health five times so far; three times for my elderly uncle and twice for my elderly mother. In time, I am sure I will use them for myself. I cannot give enough praise to them for their professionalism, thoroughness, kindness, and convenience. Anyone caring for elderly relatives understands the challenges involved in getting them immediate attention with a doctor and the prep involved in getting them to those visits. My uncle's case required hiring a wheelchair van each time he had to leave home for a doctor visit as well. With Dispatch Health, it just required a call where I answered questions and a home visit followed. My relatives were cared for by Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners and I found them to be extremely thorough. In one case, they spent far more than an hour with my uncle, and they even hung an IV to infuse fluids to improve his BP. They also tested his blood, and with my mom they checked her urine and sent it off to a lab. In each case they prescribed needed medication, and I received follow up calls. With Medicare, the cost was minimal; but what was best was the comfort level that my relatives had being cared for in their own homes. I love Dispatch Health! They have brought back a service that has improved the quality of life for people needing medical attention. You don't have to be elderly to use them; it is a service that can be used instead of waiting in an urgent care facility and I can think of a few times I used urgent care for infections that would have been more pleasant/convenient in my own home.joanne leduc

It was absolutely amazing! I had been turned away by ER … it was full… and my doctor's office because I couldn't get flu or covid tested. So doctor office recommended Dispatch Health. I had never heard of them and was a bit nervous at first. However, once they came I was more than impressed. They were very kind. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. From the beginning with the first phone calls to the end with x-rays (wow x-ray in my home?!) thru to follow up with test results. I did not feel comfortable driving or siting in a waiting room because I had a frequent productive cough. The PA and her assistant who came to my home were very professional, friendly and concerned. They did a thorough examination of by vital signs and my upper airway, then ordered a chest x-ray, and reported to me within a few hours that it was negative. They informed my PCP, who followed up with me the next day, and i am feeling much better within less than a week. This was a very comfortable and easy way for me to have my mind put to ease. The 5 stars goes literally only to my instructors they did the absolute best with what they have , the CDL program is there to teach you the basics to pass the Missouri state permit and then licensing exam. Now as I said 5 stars to just the instructors , the trucks as you can imagine are pretty roughed up ,having new people in them constantly thrashing the gears and what have you, totally understand, my biggest problem was and maybe this doesn’t happen often but , there were to many people in my class and with us usually only having access to one truck , it would take a little while to get to it being your turn and that may not seem like to big a deal but in a 3 week course every day , every hour is crucial. I blame admissions for this one, definitely trying to spread your instructors thin. Had my company not paid for this , I would have probably been as furious as some of my classmatesDan Andron

I moved here from California to go to this school for the weld program, you have 2 options jw1 or jw2. I did jw1. I learned a lot and sure I may not have graduated with all my certifications I still got a job and that's all thanks to the instructors. The weld program really is awesome. But I will say this.. don't come here thinking your all that or your a better welder than most. Just be satisfied what you can make. And ask questions if this is the field you want to succeed in. If you are considering they are four week CDL course shop around. Whenever we called the national number I was told the class would be $4000 which was falling in the same price range as other schools in the area however when I began speaking to the school directly I was told the cash price was $6000. I ended up going to another local school here in the area and only paying $4250. So if it is a CDL training program you are looking be sure to shop around.Sean & Mercy Hoyt

I recently attended Coastal Career Academy in Fall River, MA. I attended the February – April evening classes. It’s a great school. They helped me accomplish a huge step in my life, a first step to a much brighter more promising future. I signed up for the Nursing Assistant program. It’s a 100 hour program, in which they provide everything necessary to get you ready for your state test. Signing up was easy. It’s a decently priced school. And one of the few in which are still open during this pandemic. Debbie owns and runs the school. She can be a bit scarce and hard to get a hold of but she’s honestly got so much going on with all the programs her school provides and getting them together for both attending and up coming students. My CNA instructor was very professional, great with communication and very thorough with teaching. She is willing to go the extra mile to help you with anything you need to learn or practice. She made sure myself and my class were well prepared for our state test. Coastal Career Academy provides you with both morning and evening classes which is great for anyone who needs a flexible schedule for attending Coastal Career Academy. With the variety of courses they offer you honestly can’t go wrong. I recently passed my state test on both my Clinical and Knowledge test. I couldn’t be more happier and I plan on coming back for a few more things like CPR and EKG. The school is very unprofessional and the director will rip you off. Although my teacher was kind and put a lot of effort into preparing us for our CNA state test, she was not trained or prepared to teach us because the director (Debbie) hired her on the day classes started and didn’t give her the proper material to teach us with. Who has students pay a down payment for a class that may or may not have a teacher? Many payments made by the students were lost and misplaced and the director tried making it seem like people owed more than what they actually did. She just cares about the money. The secretary even agreed that the director will rip you off. Our class complained about not feeling prepared for the state test to Debbie. She demanded a mandatory skills class for two days, only did it for one and said “we’ll be fine”. People who shouldn’t have failed, failed. If you are looking into local schools in the Fall River area for CNA, Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant etc. I highly recommend Coastal Career Academy, I was a little hesitant on going back to school but the owner and instructor Deb Gomes helped me break out of my shell and nipped my what if attitude in an instant. You don’t just learn from Deb or any of her instructors you become family. From dealing with stressed out students nervous about state exams, or taking time to help with job placement even after you have been certified they continue to be there. I had a great deal of pain over 4th of July weekend where I could not sleep or eat for 3 days. On Sunday I made an appointment for them to see me on Tuesday. I got the confirmation email and text and filled out my patient forms. Upon the day of my appointment I tried calling them as soon as the office opened at 7:30 am. No one answered the phone until 5 minutes before my appointment at 10 am which I was almost already at the office. When I arrived they informed me that I did not have an appointment and that I would have to wait a month to be seen. This is after I had to call the Springfield office earlier in the morning to get information and the lady there could see that I had an appointment in chicopee. Not quite sure what happened there. Also it was almost $700-$800 total for me to get a tooth extracted when I got it done for half of the price somewhere else. I have personally never been a big fan of dentists but this place has absolutely changed that for me. Everyone that I have encountered at Baystate Dental have been nothing but excellent. Everyone is extremely kind and caring and they truly want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. Dr.Cox is the best dentist I have ever had. Not only does she do phenomenal work but she is very personable and compassionate when you are sitting in that seat. If you are someone who deals with any sort of anxiety when it comes to the dentist I highly recommend Baystate Dental, my anxiety coming to the dentist is completely gone thanks to Dr.Cox and the amazing staff.Pedro Duarte

Had an appointment in January for a cleaning. Day before the appointment they move my appointment to a different time and dont notify me until last minute and then make me wait until august for the "next available appointment". Now its august and im two days before the appointment and they do the same thing again and tell me i need to wait until February of next year to be seen because they moved the appointment again. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague because you wont be able to get in anyway.click bait

This review is specifically for my encounter with Dr John Paul. It was my first time ever seeing a psychiatrist due to lack of sleep issues and overall issues with possible ADHD. I had been looking forward to meeting him because I had been suffering with the same issues since I was young. When I started to explain myself to him he was very dismissive of what I was saying. He immediately starting judging me and saying things like this isn't some handout place and treating me as if I was less of a person. At one point during the hour he even apologized saying he does understand this is a clinic and that's why he is reacting this way. I'm very sad that many people are looking for help and they are met with someone who treats them as if they are less than everyone. This year of my life has been very hard and I have lost my father which is the reason I came to this clinic for help. Katie my original doctor has helped me from the moment I went in there. She made me feel comfortable being the first time I had ever gone to a doctor for help. Unfortunately I had the opposite experience with John Paul. I will likely never see another psychiatrist again due to my time with him. Everyone else I've seen here has been awesome but this man is not nice.Anthony Vancini

I go to Savida Health in West Springfield and my provider is Katie McKenna-Weiss. I’d give her 10 stars if I could. She is simply the BEST – she shows how much she cares about all of her patients but also myself as an individual every single visit. I’ve “graduated” to bi-weekly visits but choose to keep seeing her weekly because she is so supportive, positive, and is a joy to see and speak with. She does everything in her power to make sure I have the support and care I want or need. I can’t say enough great things about her. She is also always prompt and timely which is a huge bonus for my very busy life. Most of all though, she is not judgmental at all – she’s seen it all and is so understanding, I’ve never met anyone like her. She’s helped me get my life back and even more than I had before and it’s only been 4 months. When my grandma died, a possible trigger, she gave me a way to reach her day or night if I ever felt like relapsing. When I got my first puppy, she even gave me a little toy for him. The doctor took time to discuss my particular issues and really understand my concerns before we proceeded with evaluation. I just graduated from the CNA/HHA program a few weeks ago and I can say that I had a great experience. My teacher Wendy was great and she helped me and the other girls get thru it. At times I thought I couldn't do it but she always motivated us and was always positive. She called us future baby Nurses. Our group of girls were amazing and the teacher made it fun to learn. I am so happy I got the opportunity to go to school here. This is not a big school its small but you will get a very good training. I had such an amazing experience at the Fieldstone School. Not only did I get all the education I need to get my CNA, but also made such great connections with my fellow students and my teacher. Miss Wendy was my teacher, I graduated about 2-3 months ago now and we are still in contact. I have my first job as a CNA, she’s always checking up on my seeing how I’m doing, how the job is going. I’ve never came across a teacher who has truly cared so much about her students. I recommend this school to ANYONE interested in the healthcare field. The Fieldstone School is definitely the place to go. From the staff who helps with everything from the first day of admissions, the entrance exam to the CPR class, they are all the best. Very good location with lots of free parking. The building is newer and very clean. They offer many different programs for unemployed workers such as computer classes, resume writing and use of computers for job searching. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have onsite job fairs and help answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend giving them a visit if you're having trouble finding a job.John Papasodora

The way that I would like to start this off is by saying this is the best school I’ve ever attended. Kathy from administration helped me by making sure I understood everything that I needed to. Then Whitley and Jenna from financial aid helped me by making everything in that area easy as pie. After that came one of the best teachers I’ve ever had Beth. She made sure that we understood that the Medical Coding and Billing program was not going to be easy and to be ready to not have a social life outside of school which was not a joke at all. My program was supposed to be 40 weeks (10 months) and with the pandemic it got extended to 15 months. After everything the school was very helpful and also made sure we were safe when the school opened up after being closed due to the pandemic. Emilie and Beth are always there to help out and even do one on ones if needed. The biggest shout out is to the owner of the school Chris Coutts. This is because after I completed my program I was offered to take 3 practice CPC exams and if I passed the owner would pay to take the actual CPC exam. This was completely out side out our program cost. Thanks to Chris Coutts I took my CPC exam on 12/4/2021 and got my results on 12/10/2021 that said I passed. I absolutely love The American Institute. The West Hartford Campus is absolutely amazing. Ever since enrolling with Jason my life has been positively progressing. Jason signed me up back in august. He told me how great this school is as well as the director of my program who is also my teacher, Beth Canny. She is an outstanding, loving, caring teacher. She makes herself available for help at any hour of the day. She always has an open door, and can always assure you that you are capable of this program. She’s hands down the most amazing teacher I’ve personally ever had and I’m so grateful to be apart of the AI family. I started at American Institute in September 21' for medical assisting on an impulse decision & it's been one of the best choices I've ever made. I called and within 30 minutes Jason called me back to see the campus. He made my choice to register so so easy. I've always wanted to be in the medical field and this school just felt like the place to start my journey. My teachers have been AMAZING. They are so so knowledgable and if they see you care, they will help you succeed by all means. Just in 2 months I've learned so much. Mom lives in Western Massachusetts. My family and I live in Kentucky. While Kentucky is not exactly the tropics, I can’t even talk to Mom about moving to somewhere warmer. So, when she started needing help, I needed help. And I was feeling helpless. Just by chance, I found Excel Nursing Services. When I called, I spoke to a lady named Heather. I am not sure what it was, but I could immediately tell that Heather “got it”. Clearly, they have experience with people in my (and Mom’s) situation. My helplessness disappeared almost immediately. That same attitude, fortunately, was carried through by everyone on the Excel staff that has worked with Mom ever since. She says so every time we talk. (She would let me know if it were not the case, I can assure you!!) I was, frankly, lucky to find Excel and wanted to take the opportunity to share my experience.Roger McManus

Our family entered into a contract with Excel Nursing Services to provide daily care for our elderly, very compromised mother. We were required to provide a security deposit of over $1,000. Excel failed to provide the care we agreed to, never created the care plan, and consistently called us to say there would be no one coming for Mom on the few days someone was scheduled to come. When we needed them the most, we were told we should try to find a different service provider. Their dedication to patient need failed miserably.
