20 Best Mba Programs In Port St. Lucie, FL (2022 Updated)

This University is not a safe place to send your child if you care about them and their safety. I spent two semesters living on campus, my freshman year and they were the worst months of my life; communal bathrooms are not clean, things are broken often and do not get fixed, and security cameras are few and far between. The campus itself is not in a good neighborhood, which is a common fear of most people. Administration has done nothing to make the campus safer, there are not any cameras in parking lots, the cameras in the municipal parking garage do not work, and people are able to walk on to campus even if they do not attend the school. Young children steal student's bikes in broad daylight and grown adults walk onto the campus as well. The cafeteria food is not good and the staff is 99.9% of the time very rude, and you may get a plate of food thrown at you even if you are polite. I have witnessed people be served raw chicken, romaine lettuce when there was an E. coli outbreak, and also contract E. coli. The Bursar's office constantly removed and added money to my account saying one day I owed X amount of dollars and then one day I owed Y amount of dollars, and whenever I asked why my balance fluctuated during the semester, they had no answer. Financial aid is not easy to deal with especially if your family makes a mid-range income. If you household income is low or very high, do not expect to pay a lot per year. The social environment is like high school: judgmental and everyone stays in their own "clique" The only reason I will give this "university" a 2-star review is because the professor's do care about you and your success. They will work with you, and help you when need be. Every professor I had only wanted their students to succeed, and nothing else (with the exception of a woman who just had graduated from college and did not know the subject which she was teaching).Ashlynne Donovan

This school is one of the best veteran friendly schools in the U.S. currently we are in the top 100, we even have our own USO sponsored lounge called the defenders den where we can be around fellow veterans. The classes here are incredible and the professors genuinely care and thrive off interaction. You will not become another gear in the chain at this university, also the campus even though small is absolutely gorgeous. The worst school ever! I did a year at JU and lived on campus! there is nothing to do! You will be bored out of your mind if you are from the north. The staff was unhelpful, and forget about getting any extra financial help. I never had a chance to visit barry university before enrolling and I wound up not liking the area. The area outside of it is very ghetto and the dorms are smaller than what is shown on the layout online. I didn't feel safe in the general area so I withdrew from the university during the grace period where I should've gotten a 100% refund on classes and an 80% refund on housing. It's been almost two months since I signed and dated the form where I only agreed on paying 20% for housing and 0% for classes. I had not gone to any classes and now I am moved out and enrolled in a different college. I am still being given hell on this process where they were only responsible for calculating the 20% on housing that I owed and signing a withdrawal form. It's taken them two months to do these simple tasks that should've been made a priority and I was told it would be. I am now being billed for $7,050 for classes. For what classes? I hadn't gone to any and withdrew during the grace period. I have copies of my withdrawal form stating what I signed for and printed copies of the official website stating the corresponding dates and percentages for refunds and billing. They are now either going to resolve this issue right away or I will be in the process of sueing the university. This is ridiculous. What can I say: I love Barry. Even though I live way up here in Jax, I commuted down there for classes once a month. It was worth it to me. I’m in the PhD nursing program and I can say it really changed my life. Dr. Jessie Colin, who is also my chair, is the most intelligent and remarkable person I have ever met. The 5 stars is for her and how she is running the doctoral program. Thank you Dr. Colin! The rest of the nursing faculty are also wonderful. Lovely women (too many to name). I’m so glad I made the decision to come to this school. I’ve learned so much that this post would be too long to describe it all! It’s an intellectually challenging program, so be ready to learn. This school in general really focuses on social justice. If you are not open minded to multi-culturalism and discovering new ways of thinking outside of the norm, this may not be the school for you. I tell people this because I know how the culture is in America today (ignorance is bliss). You have to accept to live the ‘Barry Life’, which is being open to culture and seeking justice for those whose voices might go unheard. Like some say on other reviews, yes, the area in which the school is in is kinda sketchy. And be prepared, the student parking is awful. Barry University is the worst. I was enrolled for one semester in 2013. The way the school system is set up is terrible. NO ONE is on the same page, rarely will credits transfer, teachers do not truly care or seemed interested in making personal relationships (mind you this is a PRIVATE college), and lastly…getting your transcripts sent to other colleges is the HARDEST. They go through different programs like "Transcripts on Demand" so there's no help from Barry because they don't even know whats going on in the transcript process. They just buy some company to come handle all of their students and transcripts for them. My transcripts are now late being sent to two different colleges and its been over a month since I sent my consent form (since when do you need a consent form to sent transcripts…usually you pay a fee and that's that). I appreciate Rasmussen University for having an abundance of resources and many professors and other staff members who demonstrate they want students to succeed. I especially have enjoyed being a peer educator, being privileged to work with Tammy Hopps who is an excellent supervisor and leader, and also being able to work with other peer educators who care for their peers as much as I do. I transferred from a local state college, which I considered sticking with to save money, but in reality, not much is saved when you compare the timeframe for graduation. At the state college it would take me an extra 2 whole years to receive my BSN, whereas at Rasmussen I save 2 years of time because of their second-degree BSN option. I am very pleased with the quality of technology – at the state school blackboard and other resources were slow and did not work as well on my cell phone, whereas with Rasmussen I can easily access everything I need from my phone when I'm on the go. It's inspiring to see so many single parents and married parents in school, some of which also work full time or part time like myself while completing their degree. I had such high hopes when enrolling at this school. However my experience hasn't been favorable at all. I am a current student and I was disappointed because even though I was able to enroll and start classes I really felt unsupported on this journey. I'm realizing Rasmussen may not be the school for me. I REALLY thought I would be supported and encouraged. I was made to feel that Rasmussen would be rooting for me through my academic journey. Instead I am bombarded with emails and calls telling me what I already know… I owe money. No calls or emails about how I can be helped to budget so that I can pay more toward the balance. I'm only being told: what I owe, to get the balance down to $500-$1000 and to take out loans; which will only put me in debt and it's too early to be taking out loans when I've been in school since September of 2021 and have 2 more years. Also this school doesn't cater to single parents, limited income and individuals that HAVE to work. I called to get information, He had no patience and told me Not to proceed a career in Nursing because it was Not for me. This school is some sort of racket, I would recommend looking elsewhere to receive your degree. The school’s “academic advisors” are actually the program directors and professors, so they have a personal interest in what classes they put you in and won’t let you choose or advocate for yourself. Because of this, they are also not interested in solving problems you may face because then they’d have to take responsibility for them. The TAs barely know what they’re supposed to be instructing you in, and will get flustered if you have a question and do the work for you instead of actually teaching you to be self-sufficient. Additionally, the course descriptions are severely lacking and you will find that the instruction for nearly all classes feels very clandestine and disorganized. There is no transparency or way to make an informed decision at this “school”. For those living on campus in student housing, you may experience mold, insects, and furniture caked in animal hair. The school will not put effort into remedying this. The cafeteria food is abysmal after the first week of classes. There is a large foreign student population at this school, FIT may be relying on their newness to the States in order to maintain their poor standards. First. This place has its ups & downs. But one thing’s for sure, they provide quality education as good as Ivy leagues. 80% of Professors are great at teaching. Some will even be the reason youre passionate about you’re major. Downside to this place is the QS ranking(doesn’t exist on there). But they make up to that by being well known in the community & having connections with big engineering companies. I graduated may2020 with an Bsc in ME. & am now getting my masters at UCI in MAE. Let me tell you I study with students from berkely & UCSD & I am just as knowledgeable as they are or even better at times. One of the downsides is the extremely expensive university housing which you’re forced as an international student to stay in for 1 year. Wish FIT imvested a bit more on better parking lol. Best 4 years of my life. Even though Melbourne is extremely boring. Orlando & miami are 1 & 2:30 hours away. Don’t ever estimate the quality of education FIT is providing. Florida Tech has been my home away from home. The energy the place and the people have is unique and would say that I am as happy as I can be here at Florida Tech. Ever since I started attending school here I felt like my education and wellness was more than covered. It has given me connections and friendships that will last forever and I will forever be grateful to have chosen Florida Tech. My professors have always been caring and helpful and I have never felt like I didn't belong here. I loved the community and how many different clubs and organizations they have, so socializing has been an easy part as well. When I initially came into this school I wanted to eventually go into their graduate program. The admissions advisor told me that I would have a higher change if I got my undergrad there as well. So I did. I graduated with a 3.4, the teachers were amazing and then I go to apply for my graduate program. Due to covid the interview was over the phone. The gentleman that interviewed me asked me why I wanted to go into mental health and I explained to him how in the past I had a substance abuse problem (I wanted to be as honest as I could) because I had been saved and I felt like my purpose was to be a vessel of god and help others. The minute I said that to him he answered “I AM SORRY BUT I DONT KNOW HOW I WILL BE ABLE TO PRESENT YOU IN FRONT OF THE COMMITTEE” “MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE SOME TIME OFF”. He did finish the interview but weeks later I received a letter saying that I was denied admission to the school. I was already in the school, so I called and no one understood why I wasn’t accepted. My advisor was confused, my teachers and myself. When I asked why I wasn’t accepted so that I can work on it and fix it no one knew. They said the committee looks at different things and decides. I had classmates with lower GPAs that were admitted, I had one friend who had failed a class and was admitted and I wasn’t admitted simply because I have a past with mental health. I asked to email someone so I may get an answer as to why this happened. They didn’t even send me the proper letter stating I wasn’t accepted into the program. No one ever got back to me and honestly it shattered me because here I am paying 3 times the amount of a state university to be discriminated by my past. I personally did not like the college. I decided to leave after one semester because I didn’t feel the Christian culture as I should have. They don’t cater to commuter students. And the professors that I had didn’t care if you learned or not. The people in student services were rude to me and it showed me their true colors. They are nice when they want you to apply and mean after you apply. They lie and say they have scholarships to offer you and then in the end you have to take out loans. They chose my classes because I was a freshman and I didn’t like most of my teachers. They also put me in the wrong math class and when I transferred out it took so long that I already miss majority of the work and had to drop the class altogether. I wouldn’t recommend this college at all. They were expensive for no reason. I also didn’t like that they force you to do community service. When offering to the community it should be our choice because it will be in good will and our own choice. I'm a recent alum and an immigrant. The Olin family has always made me feel welcome to The US and to St. Louis. Many schools say they have a collaborative culture, and it could be true, but I'd say Olin lives and breathes collaboration every single day. From fellow students, faculty, non-teaching staff to even the Starbucks employees everyone knows you and your story. Many professors are world class with their research and/or teaching, but there are a few who need improvement. The building and its facilities/equipment are state-of-the-art. St. Louis has a burgeoning startup scene that budding entrepreneurs can take advantage of (no visa support, though). The Greater St. Louis area has many F500 companies that seem to have strong ties to WashU and Olin, but an absurdly high percentage of them do not even look at immigrant students during recruiting. The number one reason you are considering going to business school is to improve your career situation, get a better job, move industries maybe even move to another country. If so, Kenan Flagler is not the school for you. Career services have issues with retaining talent, which means that the people who are supposed to help the most are inexperienced. The same is true for the administration, for example, the director of the MBA program is new, the head of career services just quit after a year in her role, her predecessor had similar time in the program. Career professionals for consulting and investment banking are also new. About financial aid- GMAT score might get you financial aid from the school, which for many helps the decisions for ROI reasons, but i offer you not to be tempted by the money. From the top of my head, I'm thinking of at least 3 classmates with full rides and no offers meaning the very qualified people are not doing well because of the current situation at the school. Managment: The management is currently putting its effort into it online MBA program and not in the MBA, from a financial point of view it makes sense, the program has an infinite capacity for students with no GMAT requirements which leads to incredible income from that venue but it also means less attention and investment in full-time MBA students. What I like about KFBS: North Carolina and the Triangle generally is a pretty chill location, cost of living is pretty low and the weather is nice. I graduated from Carey Business school with a MBA in 2010 before the school's relocation to Inner Harbor, Dr. Ferrari's appointment as dean, and school's AACSB accreditation. The program has improved light years since I was a student back in 2007. Back then, majority of the faculty were part-time practitioners, and tuition was half of what it is today. Today, most faculty have Ph.Ds from top schools. Give it another 20 years and the MBA program could rank in the top 50. One of the reviewers noted that there are many international Chinese students. The program's emphasis is on Global MBA and China's global influence is growing very fast so I think networking with future leaders of China can be an opportunity. When I visited Shanghai in 2015, I attended several Johns Hopkins alumni events and met a few Carey alumni. Tuition is very high. However, given the school's reputation and potential to become a top MBA program, I think getting a degree from Carey Business school is a good investment.Andrew

I graduated from the ADN Program here at Fortis and passed NCLEX a couple months after on the first try. My experience at Fortis was amazing. The nursing staff gave me the tools and knowledge I needed to prepare and sit for boards. I’d be lying if I said the journey was easy but it wasn’t. It was tough but not impossible. Nursing is no joke and one must really have a passion for it to be successful. There will be moments where you feel like giving up but that’s when you reach deep down inside of you and remember the reason you started in the first place. Submitted my University of Florida application to attend online in May 2021 to start January 2022. I currently have a bachelor's degree from another school and wanted to start working toward a second one. I was assured that I will be good to go and able to meet my goal. Then I get this phone call last week (Oct 2021) from the school of business denying my application, although I did not apply to the school of business. I applied to the University of Florida online to take lower-level classes. Unfortunately, my application was misinterpreted wrong and this unprofessional advisor from the school of business tried to get me to attend the University of Miami. I have been here for a year for my prerequisite at keiser. This school has lack of tutors and resources to help students. The school doesn't care about the students well being, even if your child has health issues. With in the year I was in so much debt with student loans! They will blame you for not knowing there were an tutoring class that is open one day a week, but no one tells you anything when you are asking for help. The guidance counselor never call you back ( Stephanie Stinson) you always have to hunt them down to get answer. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this school, unless you want to be in debt.Lamesha Murray

It was OK, I transferred to SPC which is working out better for me. I think Keiser University has some good programs their classes move very quickly so it could be tough to keep up. I did like the campus in Tampa there was a computer lab on every floor and it was nicely built. I would say its one of the better accelerated schools because the credits are transferable and you will graduate with an actual degree . However , they are expensive because they are a private college. Due to the classes being faced paced I felt like I didn't absorb as much information .lauren Pinto

STAY AWAY or else you will be down $200 from non-refundable fees for the first appointment or without a degree!!! Learn from my mistakes please! Here's my awful experience with Keiser University: I called to request information. Over the phone the lady (I found out later that this was Constance Bogle, Admissions Counselor) asked if I was working. I said that I was unemployed and she told me to come in with an appointment for that day directly after our phone call. I asked for the next day instead. I wanted to see the place and get information because that's what their website says that I was doing. (Once the appointment happens Ms.Bogle says at the very end that I would need to pay $200 upfront for this next day appointment when she knew that I was unemployed.) I was not told that I would need to bring in any money for this appointment. I wanted an information session. I did not want to attend college. I was manipulated into registering for this college. Now I need to figure out how to withdraw from this lousy "Educational Institution". I was sat down in a random room all nice. It was basic filler conversations that any pedestrian could have said to you while waiting in line to check out at walmart. Things like: college gets you a degree, you could earn a lot of money, times are hard right now. Towards the end of our appointment I got a crumb of information by accident. She even remarked that she should have said that earlier too. Basically, the students take one class for a month and then they move on. I did not want to be registered into college. I also did not do the entire registration by myself!! I was shown a laptop and told to fill out the questions. I filled the questions in because I thought that this computer would help to show me information about Keiser University. Ms.Constance Bogle wasn't telling me anything so I thought that the computer would instead. I was not asked If I wanted to register and I was not told that what I was doing was registering for Keiser University. I only realized later when she kept saying that I would be attending college at the end of August. In my mind I knew that I did not want to go so I just sat there in awkward silence. After filling out the questions that made me registered into Keiser University, Constance Bogle then takes the computer and does the terms without my consent. She shows me the screen and starts rapid firing through the terms with a single statement about each term. I did not verbally consent to the terms nor did I physically consent to the terms. Ms.Constance Bogle (Admissions Counselor) did that herself. After this Ms.Bogle says very quickly that I would need to pay $55 and then $145. I did not understand her because of how fast she was speaking. I had assumed these were fees for registering with the university. I did not think that I was registered so I assumed that I did not need to pay those fees. Thus I did not verbally question them. Ms.Bogle keeps speaking and says that I could pay the fees later in the month and then she says that financial aid could help me to pay these fees. The statements were a complete lie because after financial aid she brought the comptuer in and demanded for me to pay upfront. I am so disgusted at how an established non-profit university could take advantage and scam innocent people. I truly am horrified and embarrassed from this experience that I do not wish to attend college ever again (my experience with IRSC isn't any better). I was told over voicemail that I would get my refund of $55. I also tried to work with the Keiser University Bursar for my refund. I still have not received my refund and I'm not withdrawn from this horrible Keiser University 2 weeks later!Anna

I graduated with my bachelors in nursing from Keiser, Port Saint Lucie campus and would not recommend it to anyone. It was such an inconsistent and disorganized nursing program. They tell you to be flexible but what they mean is be flexible with there disorganization. Also not a good look on how the professors like to gossip about students to other students/staff, it always makes it back to that student some way. If every cohort complains about the same ongoing issues, why have no changes been made? Pretending to listen to the students and act like you care with no actions to back it up is the same to not listening at all. Just another money hungry school. Numerous times grades were put in incorrectly, numerous times questions were put on exams on topics we weren't even taught yet, numerous times correct answers on exams were marked wrong, numerous of times skill check off were inconsistent because each professor does it differently ( if we are taught one way , we should be graded on that way ), numerous of times professors have been disrespectful but of course it only matters when the student is disrespectful you know the paying customer who is fed up with the lack of education/treatment they are receiving, numerous of times test percentages are increase semester after semester even though the program is already hard as it is. Literally everyday they showed us they could care less about our concerns. One professor even said to all of the students " All you do its complain" -,- great customer service. Beware I have yet to find anyone say anything good about keiser unless they are paid to do a commercial or a youtube add. Good LuckJhorman Gonzalez

I got a call from the admission counselor for the BS program in nursing. I was very excited. The admission counselor helped me to finish the process. The head of the program seemed nice. My classmates were kind and respectful, except some of the students who had used the street language, and the faculty was ok with that because "they paid a lot of money for the classes." Also, I soon realized that the majority of the instructors did not have any teaching degrees, and that they were mean, disrespectful, and not professionals. Since I had already paid a lot of money for the classes, I could not drop them. So, I wanted to retake some of the courses due to my tight schedule and low grades. The head of the program played a double role. She did not want me to retake the classes because she wanted me to pay again for the classes. So, I missed the opportunity to retake the courses. They know students by their money, nothing else. I got the worst experience from Keiser University. I never want to go back to this school again, and I do not recommend my family members and friends to go to Keiser University as well.Mustafa Orokzai

Going to graduate this summer semester. My experience here at usfsm was in every sense of the word, magical. The thing I love about going to such a small campus is that you are afforded so much more individual attention than you would be at a larger institution. This also means that there are significantly more opportunities for students to take advantage of. I went to Japan on a business scholarship for 2 and a half weeks (essentially for free) that is specific only to usfsm. I founded a prominent film club on campus, and even became student body president, designing and approving a $1.7 million dollar renovation of our student space from the ground up. I was shy in high-school, and the type of students here are too, but if you take the time to get to know everyone, they eventually help bring out the best in you and everyone else around them (even themselves). As for the comment that was made about advising, things are kind of in a bad spot right now, but I'm confident that under the leadership of Chancellor Stone things will be ironed out fairly soon. But overall, the small class experience, individual attention, and sheer multitudes of unique opportunities makes USF Sarasota-Manatee a force to be reckoned with.Alexander Benishek

USFSM proclaims to have a personable experience. Though this maybe true for some students; it wasn't for me. My experience as a new transfer student was VERY unpleasant, from the academic advisors to financial aid. I even reached out to admissions for help because I wasn't getting the resource and tools they represent at USFSM; still no help. I feel as though new students should have proper guidance in their first semester at least but everything they stated in "open house" has yet to be true. If your looking for a college that care for their new students and students in general, you won't find it here; in my opinion!S H

Awesome school where it's easy to get into the campus life, while giving you the chances to get involved locally and find yourself a job. Also without a doubt the best school in Florida in terms of cost to what you get out of it!Evan Fruehauf
