My Business Administration Management class was amazing, I learned so much and I am carrying it with everywhere I go. Some people do not like it and so do. My instructor was so brilliant and I am so proud and thankful for him. With his support and all of SJVC workers, instructors, and all around everyone, I was able to get threw this pandemic we are still having and graduate with a 4.0 and being on the deans list. I am thankful for you all. Anyone who wants to go to college for Business or just in general, go to SJVC. They got you covered and they support your every step and decision. They help you become ready for excellency and, help you find a job that you will love and if that job doesn't work out for you they will go over and above to help you succeed and find a position you want and love. I'm in the midst of the program and just love it!! The teachers and staff are fantastic and it feels like they have become my extended family. They care and want you to succeed. They offer many resources to help if you hit a road block. It's a very professional environment and they continue to train you on maintaining professionalism. I am currently in the vet tech program( just finished term 1 and starting term 2) here are a few things I wish I knew about the program before I started. UPDATE!!! STRONGLY suggest getting your generals done else where!!! Almost done with term 2 and Looking back, the program would be soo much easier if you were just taking the vet core classes. Seriously.. if you are really thinking about going here fresh out of high school and think you are going to be fine with the work load you are in for a rude awakening.. just please take my advice and get your generals done somewhere else. You will actually enjoy your time here if you are just taking the vet core classes because the vet related classes and the generals work load at the same time is extremely stressful because again you will be taking roughly 20 credit hours( that’s general classes and vet core classes) AND the material is very rushed. -curriculum is extremely rushed -instructors are a hit or miss (3/5 instructors were really great and knew what they were talking about and we’re able to explain really well, other 2 did not know the material and did not know how to effectively teach/explain/ or answers any questions about the material they were teaching. Pretty much had to self teach in both classes) -the parking situation is a hot mess. Parking on campus is extremely limited and the street parking is a joke. -The remediation assignments (Student services assigns you an extra assignment on top of your homework in whatever class for being 15+ minutes late or missing the class or leaving 15+ minutes early ie. Handwritten 100 bullet points on the slides of the power point you missed. The instructor then has to sign off on it and you turn it into student services no later than 1 week of the absence/tardy) is extremely unnecessary and just adds more stress. -But all in all still a better program than any of the other schools I was looking into before I started the program. I’m still loving what I am learning about and the hands on labs are amazing. My classmates and I are extremely close and working together and helping each other study is a must to succeed in every class. If you do find yourself struggling there are so many resources the school provides to help you ie. free tutoring from a peer tutor, tutoring from your instructors per request via emailing them. Scheduling an appointment with the Student success coordinator (helps you plan your study schedule and helps with testing stragies). Just know this is a tough program because it’s rushed and you WILL be taking anywhere from 12-20 credits hours. ( this is decided based on if you have transfer credits from other colleges ie. math 1010, Biology1010, college writing, etc. I was taking 20 credit hours. I did not choose this, your schedule will be chosen for you by the school) and you will be eating, living and breathing veterinary medicine for the next 2 years. ( also I want to add that it is STRONGLY recommended that you DONT have a job. At least in 1st term. In orientation they go more in-depth about this. A lot of my classmates including myself quit our full/ part time jobs after 1 month in the program because it was too much) If this is something you think you can handle then it is definitely worth it!Kaitlyn Hart

This school has all the technology you could ever want, and provides a lot of support. I wish I could have afforded to go there. That’s the only downside, is the really high price. I should add, the price is high for a reason. They buy top of the line technology to teach their nurses and vet techs (those are the only things I’ve seen myself, and I am 100% sure they put the money into their other programs, too.) My current financial situation makes the school unaffordable, but the price is 100% worth it. I was going to make myself afford it until I was told about a deposit. I WAS shocked by the $400+ deposit they required during orientation (for the LVN program.) I wasn’t told about it except less than a week before orientation. There was really no iltime for me to prepare. My financial aid advisor, Vanessa, was AMAZING and tried everything to make the school more affordable. My academic advisor, Nikia, was the BEST. She really helped to make me feel comfortable and helped teach me more about the program.Jessica Laroche

The program I was in (vet tech) was great for the most part! However there was a lot of bumps in the 2 years and disorganization when I was there. Teachers were a hit or miss you could get a great one and would love that class, or you would get one you dreaded and never wanted to go to class. Being the first class to graduate from that program we didn't get all the amazing equipment that the students have now. This program over all is a great experience because when you are struggling or need help you can find teachers always doing tutor sessions or the LRC always is willing to help you learn things as well. they are doing the best they can to make sure things run smoothly from now on. I would recommend this course now because it seems like things will run smoother now that they learned from passed mistakes with my class.Allison Kunic

HOT Mess. Vaccination Mandate rescinded. Jeopardizing everyone's health in hopes that more students will attend. Butchering of Food Security Program to make it unusable and pointless. Campus construction underway. ZERO signage. There are NO services available after 5. You can't even access the cafeteria area. If you're taking an evening class I hope you bought your own food, that doesn't need reheating or you can afford to buy something off site. Day 1 Air conditioning failures. Water fountains dysfunctional already. SMC is not at all ready to have students back on campus. And SMC does NOT care. Or rather SMC CARES… ALL ABOUT PROFITS. Maybe after another 2 years of online only instruction Santa Monica College will be ready?Xanatos Hutchinson

The campus here at SMC has gone quite the transformation in the past few years. The Science building and the Welcome center are completely new and look great. The only problem with the campus is the parking and lane infrastructure needs an upgrade. The lines of cars around campus affect the local community in a negative way. As a local resident, I think the campus should invest in buying more parking and perhaps adding turning lanes. Ubers used to block Pico for blocks but they fixed that. The campus is beautiful and even boasts a fourth of July fireworks show in the summers!! I just wish they would invest in the local traffic and help us regular folks out.Madie Parbaz

I am a homeless student. I have had many issues getting my financial aid money. Since the semester started I wake up on the street in tears. I feel very defeated with this process. They withhold aid for weeks on end after classes have already started. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL! They recently had an audit and I gave all bad reviews mainly because of financial aid. I’m exhausted, not motivated to engage in my full time course load. This is why some people make bad decisions in life. A system that does NOT have my best interest as a priority. I went there for a Covid vaccine. A coworker told me about the facility due to looking for an appointment for her mom. I had been having a hard time finding availability and was able to get an appointment Wednesday for the next day.. They were very organized and safe. There were lots of people moving everyone along, checking temperatures, identification and email appointment times. After the vaccine, they had you wait 15 minutes to monitor you for possibly reactions. Overall, I was there about 35 to 40 minutes.Susan Johnson

Dr. Clark and his staff are amazing! They take great care of our animal children as if they were their own. The place is very clean, the exam rooms are immaculate. The doctors and assistants talk you through the procedures and have great compassion for animals and love their jobs. They will always have my businessTee Thomas

The general unprofessionalism from the administration and the staff left me nothing but frustration and a refund. I was enrolled in a Veterinary Assistant program just to have my instructor “disappear” after the first day with no follow up or any information on her well being. The most information I received was hearing the course was cancelled after asking the faculty NUMEROUS times over the course of three weeks. Never once did they think to communicate to the STUDENTS who willingly signed up and PAID for the program.Kalina Camargo

If anyone is looking into the medical assistant field please do yourself a favor and look at the pay rate and how much it costs to attend this horrible program. Program costs about 30k and MA barely make that yearly, you can go to a community college for about the same time and get paid to go. I cannot wait for SJVC to get sued for taking advantage of vulnerable people, giving false promises to students of a career in medical assistant, you will not be able to live on that type of low income. You have a better opportunity making more money at Target, most of my credits did not transfer even though I was told they would so I wasted my time. I had to retake most of my classes which I did in about the same time as I was at sjvc and will be applying to the nursing program. This is a horrible schoolJammy Jam

An amazing institution Went here as a student from Feb 2019 until graduation Oct 2019. I was enrolled in the front office medical admin program. 7 months and upon graduation, I passed and got nationally certified for billing/coding. My teacher Ms.Hernandez was amazing, caring and knowledgeable. The school and its staff went above and beyond for me (I was unemployed at the time) and now I am employed and have actual hope for my future. It taught me a variety of skills that applied in many jobs for medical assistants. The bad? It won't teach you everything. It won't get you a Masters Degree and a six figure job. But that's not the point of this trade School. It's a start, a path to better prospects. It's made good on that so far =)Vince M

I had previously been accepted to a university, having experience payment issues (that school was wicked expensive) I found SJVC, they help me make a smooth transition from the other school to there and my time there was amazing. Meeting different people from different programs and other people who just didn't want the traditional school experience. I went for my certificate MOA program (took 7 months of class time and 2 months of externship time). Loved my teacher and classmates and learning was easy and I understood all the lessons. I even got on the dean's list after getting my certificate. My career counselor even helped me find my full time job. Pima Medical Institute in Chula Vista, CA has been a great educational experience for me. After completing their Vet Tech program, I feel confident in the skills I have learned & fully prepared to enter the animal medical field with a solid knowledge base. Everyone at the Chula Vista campus have been very helpful & supportive during the ~2 years of my educational path. Specifically, Diane O’Brien, RVT is a well informed instructor who combined professionalism & nerdy humor seamlessly, which made a fast-paced curriculum quite fun for me. I started school at Pima to do the VA course I give a huge shout out to Ms. Brooks she is amazing she is super knowledgeable and will teach you everything to prepare you for this career. Love this school the teachers are amazing, specifically Ms J and Ms Perez in the dental assisting program they have been such a big help for me throughout my schooling here at Pima, they also helped me with my first dental assisting job and I was able to get paid during my extern thanks to them 🙂 I also would like to mention Mrs. Martha she was also very nice to me and helped me with my extern very professional as well. I took in my husky today. He's been struggling with an ear infection for almost 2 months. My former vet thought it was allergies and gave him the wrong medication even though I strongly insisted I don't think its allergies. At HB Pet Hospital Dr. Nichols did a test and could tell after a couple of minutes it's a bacterial infection. She cleaned his ears and gave us some medication to use at home as well. He already feels much better. Looks like at least someone knows what they're doing and is not just guessing. Also, I paid less than for the wrong diagnosis of my former vet. I'm super happy. Everyone was really friendly and helpful! Thank you especially to Sonia 🙂 The only thing is that I was not allowed in the room with my baby boy. But I really feel like he's finally getting the care he deserves.R. Müller

Response time to scheduling requests on their PetDesk app is a bit slow (it isn't immediate or within the same business day even if you put in a request earlier in the day), but the vet and staff are all great. Prices are fair and I appreciate the transparency. I know my furbaby is in good hands when I leave her in their care. I haven't seen Dr Lewis in a few years (due to our scheduling availability), but Dr Nichols is just as fantastic. Many thanks for the care you give to my Abigail. My husky just had a non urgent but worrisome medical situation and they were able to see her in a few days and schedule her in for surgery soon after. She is recovering just fine after the effects of the anesthesia wore off. I can always trust my furbaby is well taken care of and diagnosed and treated properly.T L

As a first time puppy owner, I needed to find a knowledgeable and trustworthy vet. Huntington Beach Pet Hospital is just that and more! After purchasing their puppy package for vaccinations and deworming, it has made these first few months a lot less stressful. They are wonderful at answering any and all questions I have and being able to text the office makes things a lot easier. They truly do care about my Maui and I couldn’t be more grateful. I have been bringing my dogs to Gentle Care Pet Clinic for about 25 years. Recently my Corgi was sick and needing treatment. The staff at this clinic is kind and caring. What I like the most about the Vets here is that they explain treatment options, but give you the choice on what you want to do. They never engage in high pressure sales. They explained the medication my dog would need and the cost before I bought them. They even followed up with a phone call the next day to see how my dog was doing. I trust the doctors at Gentle Care and I appreciate that they don't pressure me to do a procedure that I can't afford.Irene Snyder

I have been coming to Dr. Bang for over 20 years with my animals. He has been treating Mr. Anubis who belonged to my son who passed away and Quila a rescue, for a long time now. Both of my dogs have had many problems and Dr. Bang always has good advice and always knows and treats their problems efficiently. Their staff is exceptional especially DaNell and Michael who are always so willing to assist me getting my dogs out of the car. If you need a top-notch vet clinic Gentle Care if the best. Our old vet wanted $1080 to spay our cat! A friend suggested Gentle Care so I gave them a chance and I'm glad I did. First of all, they quoted us onlyy one third of that! Secondly, they said they were pretty sure our cat already was spayed (she's a rescue and six years old) and that we could wait and see (she's indoor only), so it may end up costing us nothing! I have been taking my two dogs to Country Hills Animal Clinic for several years. I feel comfortable in saying that I have complete confidence in the care I receive from each of the vets. I am always given options to treatment when available and consideration of cost. I have never felt that the clinic is overpriced or that care is compromised. The vets are caring and give me the time I need to understand and make decisions about my dog's treatment. I find the vet techs to be competent and caring and the front office staff is always helpful . Country Hills came highly recommended for my 4 lbs dog who needed to be spayed. I was worried going under general anesthesia would be too much for her but the vet assured me they would use special monitoring instruments and heating pads to keep her safe during the procedure. Other vets I spoke to told me they would not do anything special or different for my tiny dog because it was unnecessary. I don’t know what the actual medical needs are, maybe I was being paranoid but the point is, Country Hills understands that our pets are precious family members and addressing the anxieties of the human patients are as important as treating the animals.Kelly Cook

We have been taking our cats and dogs to Country Hills Animals Clinic for almost two decades. We absolutely love and trust all three vet doctors and staff. Dr. Cassidy even came to our house when we had to put our beloved bulldog down due to lymphoma. Her treatment extended his life by 7 months when his prognosis was only 2 months (and cost a mere fraction of the price quoted to us by a canine oncologist). I was part of Sabio cohort 118, as part of Veterans Affairs new VetTec pilot program. Pros: Extremely nice teachers – who are patient and they work with you to get things going, they encourage you to ask questions. I (obviously) don't have issues expressing myself, so it was fine, but I find that others who are more camera shy or question shy were able to ask questions. Enough alumni who were hired. We would have a lot of alumni return and talk to us via zoom session, in a meeting. It was odd because we would literally had to pause what we are learning in order to listen to how someone got their job, repeatedly. what they struggle with, but after 3 or 4 people, you heard the same answers. Keep asking questions Keep going over the exercises. Reach out to people in LinkedIn. These are actually really great sound advice for every and any industries, but I'm not sure we had to listen to it each week. One week, they had the prior cohorts show us a demo of a project they built. My friends who participated in Sabio last year said, the project was cool, but most people did such little on it. I failed an assessment, then another one. I was told it's okay as long as I get to figure it out. Vettec requirement according to Sabio said since I'm on academic probation, I am released from the program. But I was told I can continue if I get a loan or if I use my other VA benefits such as the GI Bill, chapter 35 or Voc Rehab. Videos are – hands off, from someone who studied film and worked in production, just bad. I'm not talking in production value. I'm saying it's not that affective. For example, we learn how to code "Hello world!" which seems to be a coding standard when it comes to easy samples, then the assessment would be something definitely different from what we have been doing in our classwork, or the exercises. I might not be smart but I have three degrees and working on the 4th one, so I know I'm not stupid. It's just recorded zoom session. Follow along, then you get an assessment. I met a few friends who said they graduated and they didn't get jobs, and they felt like they didn't really learn anything. they tell us, it's designed for us to go search for things. But I was research assistant for a nonprofit then a fairly large company. Why not teach us how to research? I felt that they were either overwhelmed with the number of students. Being on the Q waiting list in the beginning felt like I was at the DMV. I definitely know more about coding and JavaScript now than I did before summer of 2022 started. Not recommended for everyone. Definitely not recommended for someone paying out of their pocket. I would definitely talk to them and make your own decisions. Most people I interacted with in Sabio were extremely pleasant. I am glad I made a lot of friends as well. I wish well for them. If you are interested in coding, definitely check out w3 school, or javascript by doing a google search. Watch some YouTube Videos, and have a strong purpose of joining. That would not only give you a better understanding of what you want to do.Tae Yoo

I was part of C60 sabio, when signing up with Sabio there were statistics of how great their program was and how they helped a substantial amount of graduates find jobs once the cohort was completed. Unfortunately for my cohort and myself this wasn’t the case. Out of the 12 members of cohort 60 less than half of us are in a full time coding position. Our instructor for the cohort was seemingly pushed out near the end of our time which left us with hardly any help for job prospects and assistance. Since our instructor who had worked with us on a daily basis was gone, there was nobody left who could truly speak for us with potential employers. I have since found employment in a field unrelated to coding but sadly am still left with $20,000 of student loan debt that was used to fund a course that ended up offering no value to me in my career. Recently, Sabio sent a survey to track where recent cohort grad were in their professional lives so they could use people working full time in marketing. I requested to not be part of their marketing as their course did not help me and have since been removed from their slack channel that was promised to stay open for alumni as an extra resource. They now have a program in place that requires no money upfront but instead they will take a portion of your salary once fully employed. Lucky for those new students who want to take the risk but for me and many of my cohort members, Sabio left us in debt with no help to actually find a coding career. EDIT: Responding to the owner. I never once went to an interview without a clean shave and a suit, I was business major in college trust me I know how to dress for an interview. Actually I even wore full suits for the practice interviews we had in class. As for the former alumni, I saw the email I sent to him while cleaning my inbox and he didn't even give me the time of day. He said he didn't believe I had enough of a finance/accounting background but when I asked him to let me show my knowledge I was given no further responses. Funny that I am about to sit for my comprehensive CPA exam but your amazing alumni connection gave no help or even took the time to get to know me and my skills. Overall a decent course but being $20,000 in debt over something that has proved worthless since I wouldn't let them use me for marketing purposes is rough.Justin Richard Verducci

Responding to the Owner Liliana Aide Monge. Thank you for your quick response. Assuming I want to take this class just for my personal knowledge is completely false. When I spoke to Mr. Ali, I made it clear I was in the near future, giving up my current career and wanted to attend Sabio full time for a career change. My current career in the span of 10 years had me traveling the world so giving up all that just for personal knowledge just wouldn’t make any sense. I do understand Sabio is committed in helping recent graduates find jobs. But isn’t it just as important for the recent grad to do their due diligence in searching for work on their own? Maybe I have a friend with a tech company overseas and all that is asked of me is to gain the knowledge and I’d be hirable. What would it matter if Sabio or the recent grad found the job first? All that would matter is the gained knowledge from Sabio and the employment. Telling a person they can’t attend just because of their location is beyond me. If this is all online what should it matter? I have the same access to internet and information as anyone stateside. I requested a call from admissions and it didn’t go as I thought it would. There’s a time difference between my current location and Sabio, obviously I new this before. I was told that Sabio requires all future students to be stateside. For a school calming to be veteran friendly, it seems as admissions isn’t privy to know a lot of vets take live online classes all over the world. I was also told it’s an intensive 12 hours a day class, again something I was already aware of. This was said, I feel in favor of admissions telling me the requirements are for students to be stateside and somehow it’s more convenient. If it’s online why should it matter where the student is live-streaming from? If I have the internet access and the willingness to adapt to the time zone, why should Sabio tell me whether or not I can attend? We have been taking our dog Bella to Animal Medical and Dental Group for several years, and we could not be more pleased! The facility itself is extremely well-kept. It’s clear from the moment you enter that they take pride in keeping their lobby and examination rooms very clean and neat. Additionally, the entire staff is incredibly helpful, kind, and caring. Booking appointments over the phone is always a fast and easy process, which is very important to us since our dog is diabetic and has to have semi-regular glucose checkups. There has also been one emergency case when she first started insulin where she needed to be checked right away due to her looking and acting very lethargic, in which case they made time to check on her right away even though they were fully booked that day. Everyone on the staff is truly incredible, and we always feel listened to whenever we go. There has never been an instance where our thoughts and questions were not addressed and answered. All of the veterinarians are always mindful of our needs and concerns, and it’s very clear how much each of them cares about helping our beloved Bella. There are still so many more positive things we can say about the facility and staff, but in all, after trying several different veterinary facilities over the years with previous pets, Animal Medical and Dental Group is truly the best facility we have ever been to and will continue to go to for all of our dog’s needs.Ariella

I was visiting Hermosa beach and my dog was not feeling so well. I wish I found this place sooner before I called around to at least 20 different vet offices to get my dog an appointment. None of them could get my dog in until I finally called VCA and they were able to see me within 2 hours. From the moment I walked in, the staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help. I am happy to say my dog is feeling much better thanks to the vet and staff at this location. I have been to a lot of different vets and can honestly say this VCA location is one of the best offices I have ever been to. As a new puppy parent they completely covered all of my bases with their puppy care club package. It is basically an all inclusive year long service that covers all the puppy vaccinations, neutering, and other perks. I paid around $1700 and pay it off monthly with 0% interest. Totally worth it and this staff is so helpful! It's weird not being able to go into the office because of covid, but the staff here has it down and are great at communicating. Just have your phone on hand charged and ready as that will be your point of contact when your pup is in there. Would recommend this place to anyone who has a puppy they love!Alia Khan

Brought my cat here for an annual wellness exam. It was also her first appointment here since switching from a different vet. We had a great experience. The space is intimate and charming. Dr. Truong and the whole staff were very friendly and helpful. This was my first vet appointment with my cat that I got to be inside the exam room (adopted her at the beginning of the pandemic and only previously done curbside drop off). I was impressed with how they handled her despite her stress about being in a new environment. She didn't even notice the vaccine she received. In the lobby when we were waiting for our appointment, the staff asked me to pick up my cat in her carrier off the floor before one of their dog patients came out, because they didn't know how the dog would react to the cats in the lobby. This attention to detail in situations like this is much appreciated, because you know they care about the experience of both their dog and cat patients and avoid things that would add to their stress.Aliyah Shaikh

Brianna Abel and team took great care of my two dogs Audrey and Herman. Initially I was introduced to Dr. Abel because of her acupuncture services for our Pekingese (which I believed helped her). Because of her great care, we switched both of our dogs to Cats and Dogs Animal Hospital – this was about 5 years ago. I know both of my dogs had the best care and guidance working with Cats and Dogs Animal Hospital. Unfortunately they both passed away due to old age. The care and love they both received towards the end of their lives was unsurpassed and the personal touch after our dogs passed away (like a sympathy card) was thoughtful and an unexpected pleasant surprise. We are so happy to have taken our pups to this vet clinic. We also feel very comfortable around the staff there, meaning I felt 100% fine with allowing the staff take one of my pups to the back and do needed medical procedures. The staff was very professional and friendly with my pups. The front office staff was also very helpful, friendly and professional with getting us started on our very first appointment. Moving on to the Dr., this was the very first time a vet took their time to explain diagnoses and treatment. She was extremely thorough and patient during the appointment. I like the vet doctor's are so nice and also some of the Receptionist too. Another then that everyone helps you they Explain how to give the med's to your pet's. And also they are very nice and attended. But when I first came there I didn't have a good Experience with one of the receptionist but on 2 time I came there I had a better experience and the receptionist were more nicer so now I give this place 5 star's before I gave them 3 star's but the only reason I did that before was cuz of one of the receptionist was not too nice to me. But this time around it was better. I like everyone there they care about you and your pet's. The only thing is Just a heads up so you guy's know there is a long wait time but another then that this place is a great place to take your pet. Really friendly staff. Make sure you have an appointment to be sure you can have your beast looked at by a really nice Vet. The young lady in the front tried to get my beast checked out without an appointment but it was pretty late in the day. They did get me an appointment early the next morning! Overall it was a great experience for my beast and they took really great care of him. Also no bull$h!t extra charges/unnecessary treatment were trying to be added to the bill. They only did what he needed and they give estimates for procedures/surgeries. Great prices! Oh yeah and they have a bunch of hilarious dog paintings all over the walls and in the exam rooms. Did i mention the place is really clean! Only thing is the parking sucks but i didn't have any problem finding street parking. It's also right next to Mariachi Plaza!Jo Cas

Great customer service and veterinarians! Dr. Ramirez and staff took great care of my doggies needs! They are amazing! I want to add that they have excellent quality care for your loved pets. I like that the front reception area and rooms are super clean. One of the technicians and Dr. Ramirez saved my dogs life. They understood the family pet dog situation and affirmed my parents that the the family dog still had an opportunity to live longer. We were able to save the family dog and give her another chance at life. Dr. Ramirez, is responsive and makes sure that our dog health is good and always gives professional opinion of the options available for our family dog. This place is amazing and went above and beyond for my puppy. She was attacked by a pitbull and had a surgery at the emergency vet which became a nightmare and the skin around the stitches died and they all opened. I took her to Dr. Fong who had to redo the surgery. She assesed the situation and did an amazing job on her second surgery and my puppy healed up quickly after. As a nurse and seeing the work Dr. Fong did I definitely trust this vet and it will be the only vet we go to. They really care about the animals and are not in it just for the money. ALL YOUR STAFF at the vet office, or at a drive through clinic have treated my little abandoned rescue as a treasured pet. Their computer system messed up, so they refused me service. I filled out all there documents, filled out check in online on their website, I emailed my animals medical records and had a confirmation for a 3:30 pm for one pet and a 4pm for the second pet. I show up and call, they can not help me at the front door so I must drive around the block to find there parking lot. I call again to let them know I am there. I start getting text stating they did not get my check in form the night before. I assured them I submitted for both pets they say they only see one pet. They tell me to use my cell phone to fill out the forms again. I advise them that i am a 100% disabled veteran and I can not use a cell phone other than simple text and emergency phone calls. My life is spent at home and at the VA hospital. They refuse to accommodate me and bring out paper forms or to talk to me on the phone, they just keep sending me text until I realized they had no intention of providing me or my pets with any services today. I drove back home and called them on the phone, I was upset but were they even considerate enough to let me vent my frustration, NO. The vet gets on the phone and tells me he will never provide service for my pets. This is how he treat 68 years old disabled veterans with double vision, poor eye sight. They would not even walk out the door to help me, they stayed locked in their office only willing to text message like a teenager does and not an adult. I have the text message between them and myself and I have all the docs and emails they sent me and I sent them and a recording of the check in forms If they claim I did not fill out the forms the night before they are liying. They must be Trump-o-crats and Q followers. If you are old like me and/or a combat disabled veteran then find another vet to go to, this vet does not provide accomidation for disabled people in violation of ADA. The request for accomedation was requested and refused only then did I get upset and only then I called once I was home and yes I was upset, I was refused any accomidation and refused service because I do to my disabilities I could not fill out forms again on a cell phone while waiting in their parking lot and they refused while was there to accomidate me, It was only after I got home and called them because I was upset that they violated the ADA and refused me service. This is going to court, I have the docmentation and it back me up not the business.T Rex

Tardiness is out of the question with this business. When I scheduled my first appointment you have a specified time to fill out intake forms online. I decided to add all my animals even though I was only bringing one dog. Well, to my surprise I hit the submit button 3 minutes past their cutoff even though it was prior to my scheduled appointment and they would not allow me to come in and had to come in at a later time. Fast forward my my follow up appointment that I was late (groomer had my dogs longer than expected) I called “1” minute past the 15 minute grace period and was told it would need to be rescheduled. I take responsibility for my tardiness but the pettiness with how the receptionist is told to act and tell you to the exact minute how late or past their allotted time is… well it rubbed me the wrong way. I just don’t see me bringing my animals back to this vet. I will find a more customer friendly vet in the neighborhood. I needed to make an appointment for my dog who was due for annual exam/ bloods and finally (and reluctantly) decided to break up my vet in Garden Grove which I’d put off long enough. I spent several hours comparing websites, reading reviews, etc. I decided to make an appt here because the office is close to me, they take appointments, and because the owner defended his staff in a reply in these reviews and I appreciate & respect that. ]The customer isn’t always right—I know this from personal experience-plus we all know many online reviews are bogus.] The team here seems lovely, like they care about animals & what they’re doing, and are happy doing their work. I got in right away and liked the vet I saw a lot-Dr. Alyssa. Price seem fair—a bit higher than my old place but that’s on me and my budget. This place is amazing!!! The moment you walk in you can see how well others are treated. We were treated like royalty. I brought our 13 year old bischon for a follow up and 2nd opinion. We had a horrible experience at affordable animal hospital (beware don't go there.. They overcharge and dont have your babies best interest in mind) on spring in LB. The staff and vet Dr. Nowell welcomed me and my cuddles with so much love. The time she spent with us demonstrates how much they care and they get these are like your kids. Super empathetic and just knowledgeable. No one is trying to oversell anything -its all about caring about your furry pets. The cost was not bad at all!!! I even said thats it?? The vet spent so much time with us and actively listened to me. The vet went through his treatment plan and ensured I understood. I couldn't believe how attentive they were. I just love this place and thankful its near our home. Im ending my day feeling so much relief knowing a professional vet saw and treated my baby. Our kitten had to have emergency surgery because of your office. You ignored photos of infection and a mothers instinct. You dismissed a picture of a large HOLE in the belly of this kitten, stating it was normal, and would eventually heal. YOU said she may have had a reaction to the stitches, yet did nothing about it. She was in pain because you didn't give enough pain meds. We have phone records of the calls and texts messages; not even an impromptu visit warranted enough concern from your office. The next day after our last call, this kitten was rushed into emergency, approximately 7 days after initial surgery. Emergency. Surgery. And just so every reader knows, she went in to be fixed, something seemingly routine. Its bad enough we've now paid for 2 surgeries…what would have happened had I not listened to my gut? Had this been a human child, she would have been on pain meds. Had this been a human child, the majority of parents would want to sue. Dropped off my 3 cats for an annual checkup. Got a call that the cats were being difficult and they needed me to come in to help them. I work. I couldn't come. Even when a family member that lives with me went the vet techs were so incompetent that they couldn't draw blood. According to my relative, one of the vet techs wouldn't even attempt to draw blood. They didn't even think to shave the cats' arms first. Checking the receipt for them when I got home and the techs didn't even give them their shots. They did nothing. By my cats' behavior when we got home I doubt they were fed. 7 hours there with nothing to show for it. Been taking my cats to Banfield Hospitals for 8 years, first time that such an incompetent team has worked on them. I have never had a problem with vets or techs doing any procedure on my cats. Usually the comment I get is how sweet and easygoing they are at the hospital. Don't take your animals to this location. Dr. George was attending.Tovi Spero

My review is very overdue but I would love to see this office with 5 stars! I have been bringing my dog to see Dr. Park since October 2019. My dog suffered urgent Posterior Lens luxation, (eye issues). Dr. Park was able to see my furry baby right away, I was so thankful his vet recommended her because she has been great at treating him. I fear he was going to lose one of his eye when I first brought him, I was terrified for him. Dr. Park examined him and recommended medications and supplements to keep him stabled. My dog is a senior 14yr and putting him thru surgery is my absolute last choice if absolute necessary. Luckily he is safe to keep his eyes and on medication for the rest of his life. He has been doing so good and staying healthy with no issues. I continue to bring him in annually for his check ups to ensure everything is okay and healthy. I strongly recommend Dr. Park for any eye specialists. She is so caring of dogs, that my dog feels comfortable coming in where he already knows the facility and people. It's too funny. He walks in like nothing. I strongly agree with Dr. Park's beliefs of healthy integrative ways of healthy meals for dogs. Example the Chi Dog Food Therapy chart, as soon as I transitioned my dog into these meals he's whole health transformed. I get compliments that he looks like a baby or young pup when he's 14yrs old. Any vet bill is expensive, if you foresee your dog having medical issues in the long run get that pet insurance. Do expect to spend over $250 per examination and procedures. Depending what your pet needs. This does not include medications. Also, the staff is really nice and professional and always help accommodate any requests for his medication.Grace Chang

Dr. Park is an excellent Opthamologist. When your pet has an eye issue it’s critical to get them care as soon as possible and Dr. Park is caring and knowledgeable and she has been there for my older French Bulldog and his multitude of eye issues over the last two years. Dr. Park was the one to cure my dogs eye ulcer he had for months and it seemed nothing was working and he was going to need surgery. She prescribed some drops and supplements and within two weeks the ulcer was gone. Her knowledge of western and eastern medicine is extensive. You’re in good hands if you get in to see Dr. Park. my dog is blind due to dr park and the clinic’s negligence. there was a serious lack of communication and information sharing before his cataract procedure and no explanation as to how or why this has occurred despite several follow-ups. they have also refused to provide a refund for unused, pre-paid exams after i switched opthamologists due to their gross errors. this is not an exaggeration or subjective – i have email receipts and documentation if any other pet parents want information before deciding to engage the services of IOP. happy to share.v c

I took my cat to the vet today and my experience wasn’t the best. I had an appointment at 5; i actually went in at 5:30 because there was another case getting treated and took more time than they anticipated. The front desk staff were friendly. I was called in half an hour later by a nurse, there were two of them in the room with the doctor nowhere to be found. My main complaint was that my cat had ticks and fleas, mind you i’m no professional vet but i’ve had 5 cats at one point and i know what abnormal behaviour looks like. It’s the doctor’s job to check to see if my cat doesn't indeed have said ticks or fleas. However, no one would touch my cat because she was “stressed”. Of course she was stressed. I’m taking her to the vet. All my cats get stressed at the vet. The nurses were saying that i can go home and get them a stool sample at my ealiest convenience, which i found absurd because i didn’t come and pay my check out fees just to be told to go home and come another day for another appointment. I asked to see the doctor. The doctor came and yet he wouldn’t touch her. He tried to look at her through the carrier, needless to say he couldn’t see anything. None were wearing protective gloves and they were too afraid to touch her because she kept hissing at them. I was the one to weigh her , feel her for bumps and tell the doctor where to check. They wanted to administer medication without checking her even though i paid for her to be looked at by the doctor. They didn’t check the temperature because they weren’t sure she’d “let” them and they only checked her ears when i asked them to do so. I was pretty upset by the end of my visit. I didn’t have to pay for a check up if i was the one to do all the work and just get prescribed a flea and tick treatment by the end that i was to administer to her at home anyway.Mariam Solaiman

His expertise and care with every patient is evident at every moment, and he is constantly in communication with the client about the health and status of their furry loved one. I used to take my fur kids to see Dr Morris back when the clinic was a Banfield. When he left, we left to another vet clinic. But now that he’s back! We are now his patients again! He is a very caring vet with both the pet and the pet parent. He takes care of both your fur baby and your wallet. No costly unnecessary test like other vet’s I’ve taken my kids to.
